It’s not sad … it’s nature refreshing itself. things have to die to bring forth new life. the beauty of the current situation of western civilization is that it deserves it.

my grandfather lived through the great depression. we were talking about the state of things and how the next collapse will be even greater than that. he mentioned that the men his age had the skills necessary for survival, but that men my age don’t. i asked him what he thought would happen. “A lot of people will die” he said, and didn’t really look upset about it. i think he is a bit ashamed of the trash that people have allowed themselves to become.
