Well, old Peter was right about that, but he was only half right, it’s not just bosses who won’t ever forgive it, wimminz won’t either, and sat here off the top of my head I cannot think of a single instance of a potential relationshit or ongoing relationshit with a wimminz, from the casual to the live together forever serious, that did not end stone cold when I opened my mouth and said to the wimminz in question something that was right…. and of course not what she wanted to hear.

This is exactly the sort of insight that’s just too counterintuitive for me to have ever figured out myself. Especially counterintuitive when the thing she didn’t want to hear wasn’t anything negative about her; just an observation about what would make her happy. This quote explains all kinds of things…like why one particular ex-girlfriend abruptly stopped replying to my emails and has never been heard from again.

Fools Paradise. If you are living in a dream world, and stress is put on certain weak points, central ones, ones that indicate you might need to rethink everything, whether you are a cult member, a cunty spice, or a dork who feels safe in his car, the path of least resistance is to double down on your most cherished illusions. Pretend a little harder, and let everyone else deal with it.

So much pressure on people today. Can it really be surprising?

I also noticed, another meta meaning, that if a woman has the same reaction as a boss, then what does that tell us about her view of her status in the great scheme of things. Never thought of it that way.

Still, it can be worth it every now and then, to call it as you see it, no matter the external consequences.

Some days I just want to rip out all safety devices from the cars, and ban the automatic transmission.
