To be fair, this was an atom based netbook, unutterably slow, and I left it with an unattended batch script installer and updater, so it is *possible*, from what she said, that it had proceeded to the point where the base install had generated the first set of recovery files, so it could probably have been retrievable via console, and of course a windows password vanishes shortly after hiren’s boot cd is used (http://www.hiren.info/pages/bootcd) and nt pwd editor…

but, I’d need physical access to the box to do that

and, I am not felling charitable to the skank, as I said to her, bed. made. lie.

I´m pretty sure that 90% of wimminz (& a pretty big chunk of males too for that matter) haven´t got the slightest clue how ANYTHING of this modern world around them actually works or functions.
It´s literally technomagic to them.
From the way a fucking ladder works to why the fuck you can´t “pause” an OS install. Which is pretty much arcane magic of the highest order for someone who hasn´t even got a firm grasp on the concept of cause and effect.
