It may be a week, a month, a year, but our civilization as we know it is doomed. I’d try to get a place in the country to ride it out better, but that would mean leaving my old mum and my uncle to die, as without me they wouldn’t last long (and that’s before the ship goes down). Then there’s the rest of the family.
