And yep the Gutmenschen are in full panic mode, the agitprop on the TeeVee that always enraged me so much has become a caricature.

Top post. I thought I was the only one who had the impression (at least here in Germany) that the pols are in panic mode…and are just improvising. What amazes me about this, is that I would have thought that, months ago, the German government would have game planned a “leave” vote…just in case.

People being scarred by the Great Depression? My favourite story is that of Groucho Marx. Supposedly he lost everything in the Crash and was so affected by it that, in the 50’s, when (I imagine) he had no money worries, he’d still get up at night to check, if he thought he’d left a light burning.

I just hope home prices collapse again. Here all most people can afford to do is rent which drives the price of rentals sky high. As for the 11 year cycle, I’ve been hearing rumors about the next minimum being quite severe as well. I go through all the trouble of getting my ham radio license, acquire HF gear, and the sun has to go blank on me. And some cunts have the nerve to say we can just use EchoLink (A Radio over IP protocol) and you can talk to the world! The whole fucking reason I got into ham radio was to be able to talk to people across the world WITHOUT relying on the grid.
