The latter, especially the parents, would be far more resistant to receiving any compensation awarded by certain parties in exchange for complaisance about the quality of the “justice” that might be provided to them.

Mainly because they kept saying that Bush did it, yet many of these people were the same ones who kept saying Bush was a moron. I just couldn’t believe that Bush was smart enough or truly had it in him to actually do it. At the time I concluded that the attack happened as it was explained by the mainstream, but that the assholes running the show just treated it as hitting the jackpot in order to do whatever they wanted. I didn’t believe they had any intention of solving the problem so that we could all just go back to a pre-9/11 normal.
