Iran’s Top-Secret F-313 ‘Conqueror’ Stealth Fighter Conducts Taxi Trials :

Many people consider it a non-flyable fake. That would mean, Iranian’s airforce is in deep s**t. Maybe it’s an invitation sent to Jerusalem by some traitor in the Iranian army.
In such case, not good news…
Yes,I’m afraid they have made a mistake there. They wanted for nationalist reasons. And maybe because after the S-300 debacle. They aren’t confident of Russia quickly supplying them planes. That they should build their own plane. The problem with that is that building an effective, modern world class fighter, isn’t easy for any country.Which is why only a few rich large countries even try it.Given that Iran has been under sanctions for so long. And isn’t a “First World” state. It is even harder to do for them. In my opinion they should concentrate on smaller military weapons development. And only later try for anything major. Probably starting as the Indians have with joint ventures to develop hi-tech weapons. The money spent on that plane could have been better spent on other things the military would need.
Agree, that it’s most likely just for local consumption of the Iranian population. It seems the Iranian leadership is learning from the US Deep State, how to work with its population via fakery aka 9/11 or F35. What an irony… :)
I haven’t found any quote on that, but I would say: “Using the weapons of your enemy makes you to become an enemy of your own”
For the rest of your comment: if Iran is really important for Russia, they should help/supply.
Yes I think they should. I see it as a mistake (bad mistake) that they haven’t as of yet. I believe that Russia and Syria have more in common with their thinking about most social matters than Russia ,at least ,does with Iran. Russia and Syria both believe in the rights of religious diversity in their countries. And in full rights for women (at least in Syria publicly and for the region). Whereas in Iran people are free to follow accepted religions. But still more as tolerated than accepted. And compared to totally male dominated societies women have many rights. But still not anywhere near as in Russia. And even compared to Syria. But still though Iran “geopolitically” is as if not much more important to Russia’s security than Syria is. So allies don’t really have to be in agreement over everything to be allies. Those nations agree with each other in more than they differ from each other. And in our World today its important to them all to be allies.
Hi. I was about to go to bed but I wanted to check in here before doing so. I’m glad I did. Bro 93 responded to my last comment at the previous cafe. I need to clear up a misunderstanding which I inadvertently caused. It illustrates for me the value of a community of peers where I can be corrected.
Bro apparently thinks I advocated for the US to attack North Korea first. I did not say that although I can see how I might have left that impression. My failure was to say clearly that I am not in favor of a unilateral first strike, for example, under some pretext of “responsibility to protect.”
I said that North Korea has to be dealt with eventually and the time may be now. I think Trump is right in giving a show of strength while working with China behind the scenes to defuse North Korea. I hope that Trump is doing this and is not crazy enough to actually nuke NK first. He will destroy my confidence in him if he acts in this crazy way.
The problem is that I don’t know what is actually going on behind the theater of fake news. NK probably understands that the US is posturing. But there is much uncertainty in that word “probable.” I said “…be prepared, at least psychologically…” (for a possible limited nuclear war).
I agree with Bro that they’d “have to commit that hari kari move first…” But given America’s history of intervening in other countries with flimsy excuses like weapons of mass destruction or demonizing leadership like with Iraq and Libya, it is possible that the neocons could force Trump’s hand or simply do it without his approval and lie about it afterwards, saying Trump did approve it. Or Trump could simply be persuaded that attacking first was the best option based on information we are not privy to; say an intercept that NK was planning to attack at a certain time but even then, the US should until that first nuke is in the air–and have it on the record as indisputable evidence.
I need to sleep on this matter. For the record, I did not say the US should attack first although I may have given that impression. I was not clear. I have to work on that kind of fuzzy thinking. As you can probably tell, I am not an analyst. I’m a wanna-be lover. But if I want to stop war, some kind of armchair analysis is required. Love requires the best knowledge I am capable of which can be checked in this vineyard community.
Finally, as I said, after thinking as clearly as can (and that may be short of perfect), I put the matter into the hands of love.
» until that first nuke is in the air «
Wake up. “Nukes” don’t exist. “ICBMs” don’t either. Invented in the 1940ies and ’50ies to scare and shock and herd sheeple. Bombastic hoaxes both of them. No science, all fiction. Face it: You’ve been fooled for decades. So have I. So have all of you.
Google *heiwaco tripod bomb* and read and check using your brain and Youtube videos. Anyone can do it, anyone can see it.
One of the reasons you should do it is to no longer foolishly maintain that “North Korea needs to be dealt with”. Which is precisely the brainwashing nonsense that the System is cramming into your head to convince you that, all things considered, military action against this or that entity might make sense and, if not outright good, is probably the lesser evil.
Lumi, I admire your capacity to believe something totally contrary to what Saker and almost every reader of this blog are fairly convinced that they know, but I am quite doubtful that you know that thermonuclear weapons do not exist.
Clearly you either have a strong belief that they do not exist (despite Einstein, Planck. Teller, Oppenheimer and others) or want to promulgate that belief in others. This contrary belief is so starkly impressive that I may actually spend a few minutes googling what you so confidently and dismissively (of Dennis’ brain, and I might add nearly everyone else’s brain, to boot) assert regarding the “fantasies and delusions” of what I would estimate are 99.99% of all readers of this blog and nearly every other blog on planet earth. Not that popularity of opinion is a measure of truth, mind you.
However, the standard for overthrowing such widely believed (or known!) things has to be extremely high and the evidence incontrovertible. Otherwise, the hypothesis is that someone is trying to create such cognitive dissonance as to have readers even doubt their own existence.
And that’s a motive worth taking a closer look at!
Like you, I have never actually seen an atomic fission of fusion explosion up close, yet there is other evidence that does lead me to suspect the phenomena is real. This evidence precludes the necessity of empiricly witnessing a purported H bomb either fizzling or actually going off and for it to be refuted requires so much reworking of the entire framework of modern day reality that, at the outset, I have doubts that is the best use of anyone’s time, including my own.
But I will give your tripod bomb a few minutes of mine. Maybe we can compare notes later?
Epistemology is incredibly fundamental and important and this one should be an excellent exercise in demonstrating and testing contending epistemologies!
Under the general heading of Bunk and D-Bunk. Great!
Cheers!
I heard about that years ago, read something and… I don’t know.
In this 10min video the guy is asking some good questions while watching the explosion videos and photos:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7jVHzYzYw0
And here is the web of mechanical engineer Anders Bjorkman, which Lumi mentioned. If this guy is real, then he knows something about science…
http://heiwaco.tripod.com/index.html
Again, there are enough good, unanswered questions (and anomalies), so that I’m not able to make a clear stand for myself. And my scientific lack of knowledge should not prevent my understanding of a matter (popular and cheap ad hominem attack).
“Any darn fool can make something complex; it takes a genius to make something simple.”

The problem of course starts with the fact that CIA & Clowns faked all the photographic & cinematic evidence of the early nuclear tests at Lookout Mountain Laboratoires, Laurel Canyon, where they probabley also hoaxed all of NASA Apollo material. This in itself is of course no proof of anything, but leaves huge question marks about everything concerning the US Corporation…
i witnessed three british ”clean” H bomb detonations on Christmas island in the pacific during one year posting.
no internet youtube anecdotal hearsay. i saw with my own eyes, felt the heat from the 20 second flash on my back, saw the blood in my gloved hands and closed eyes and felt the 50 mile an hour shockwave which knocked some people over as they had turned to look at the rising fireball.
the ”clean” bit of the british bomb was…..it exploded at 40,000 feet so the fire ball didn’t touch the sea or earth which would make the down wind fall out much more lethal.
i also visited the ‘ground zero’ part of the island many miles from base on a radio sighting mission. there was yard wide sheets of glassy substance everywhere which used to be sand. don’t tell me they don’t exist.
japanese radiation victims, bikini island victims and many more says otherwise.
plus absoutely criminal (so what else is new) use of ”depleted” uranium shells and bombs in yugoslavia, iraq, libya and elsewhere says…it ain’t DEPLETED…. because of the horrific birth defects. google faluja.
@ oldnik007:
Thanks for sharing your experience. Such a testimony, of course, puts more weight on the “they most likely exist and work” arm of the issue. The other “arm” is asking: how do we know, it was a real nuclear explosion?
Even 1% of a hesitation can keep you open towards the truth. Once you are 100% sure, the issue is defined and dead for you.
Would like to hear some comprehensible scientific arguments for following statements (there are more on the heiwaco.tripod.com):
Evidently bringing two separate, subcritical (sic) pieces of uranium or plutonium, pure, solid metal in contact with each other does not produce one solid piece with one critical mass that suddenly detonates or explodes. Two small metal pieces cannot become one by compressing them together … and even if they can, they will not detonate. Metal cannot explode!
Nuclear fission is only possible under moderated and controlled conditions by slow neutrons to produce energy in form of electricity and heat.
Not even the International Atomic Energy Agency, IAEA, can 2017 explain how fission works, how to start an a-bomb explosion or how to prevent overheating of a nuclear power plant when cooling fails.
» saw the blood in my gloved hands and closed eyes «
Hahaha, so you have X-ray vision, like in the movies ???!!! Give me a break, man!
About the ammo: Sure it is depleted. By-product of uranium enrichment. The point about uranium ammo is not the radioactivity, but the high density, hence the impact and armor piercing power.

» there was yard wide sheets of glassy substance everywhere which used to be sand. «
We have them here in Germany, too. We call them “Fenster”. Can also be obtained from Microsoft.
@oldnic.
Well I just learnt something!
Reading your post, I thought “that’s Bull-slop _ there were no nuclear tests on Christmas Island.”
But thought I better search-engine first. Only to discover there are 2 Christmas Islands.!
The Australian one and the Kiribati one_ which is, of course the site of British nuclear tests.
Cheers.
Now know something for trivia night!
Your post epitomizes authority-based thinking. So and so of authority said so and so, hence it must be true.
Here’s the 101 about your authorities. Teller and Oppenheimer are Jewish fraudsters. As scientists, they’re meaningless. (There are fraudsters in any nation, but when looking at the nuke hoax, there is a conspicuous concentration of Jews among the fraudsters.)
Einstein isn’t directly linked to the hoax. He is said to have urged Roosevelt to explore the potential of nuclear power to create a weapon. Just a fancy idea he had. Otherwise he is irrelevant to the question of the nuke hoax. I think he was an honest guy and a serious scientist. Whether his insights are right or not is another question.
Max Planck is, of course, totally unrelated to the nuke hoax.
(Also, Bro 93, *phenomena* is plural.)
Last but not least, the Saker is honest, but can be fooled. So can all of us. For the record, I have been fooled until November 2015 because of all the exposure to nuke propaganda I received as a child and adolescent during the last decade of the phony “Cold War”. I should have laughed at the hoax or at least ignored it like all the other happy sheeple. But then, I also believed in holocaust gas chambers and moon landings. All fake, all fraud, all lies, all funny (moon) and filthy (holo) propaganda.
Also, I’m not contemptive of Dennis and others. But Dennis wrote that “North Korea has to be dealt with eventually and the time may be now.” And it’s the nuke hoax that makes him and others say such things. For instance, my brother in Azi America (who is a pacifist, pro-Obama, liberal, “Yvy League” graduate, etc) thinks it would be okay to attack Iran lest they “get the bomb”.
So you folks better check your bombastic assumptions! Which have been fed to you by a corrupt cartel of world powers. They have indeed painted themselves into a corner with their atomic bombs and moon landings and gas chambers. They will never admit their lies. The only solution I see is to laugh at them and ridicule them wherever they rear their bombastic heads.
Nuclear weapons = flying saucers. That’s the bottom line, really.
So, according to your thinking, even the Soviets and of course, the Russians (including Putin) have lied and are lying. I
Lumi, the HeiWacko site does not exactly impress me much and will have study it some more to be able to judge its value, but, for what it’s worth I have personally known Dutch survivors of a Japanese prison camp several miles away from one of the two cities where the Yanks dropped their A-bombs (don’t remember well, think it was Nagasaki), and their stories were quite convincing. One of them, a medic who, years later would teach our class, told us of the explosion and of colleagues who watched the blast and had their eyes destroyed. No conventional bomb of that period had such effects.
Exactly like oldnik007 he told us that the light of the flash was so intense that he could see the bones in his hands, which, unlike you answered has nothing to do with X-Ray vision.
But hey, you seem to have no problem with the heiwackjob site, that just reminds me that I have some antique Eiffel bridges to sell and a statue on some island…
» the light of the flash was so intense that he could see the bones in his hands «
Hahaha, it’s getting better and better :) So the light was so intense he could see the bones, but apparently it wasn’t intense enough to send his eyesight way up and out into overdrive?!?
Either he was facing away from the blast and the skin of his hand, even if very dark, would have reflected the light so he wouldn’t have been able to see any … uh, bones (it hurts to write something this foolish) – or else he was facing towards the blast, with his hand held as a shield in front of his face, in which case he would have been blinded and unable to see anything at all.
When I was like ten years old, one day, in the forest, lightning struck at about 30 m distance, and I know what it looks like: Everything is black and white (because the physics exceed the eye’s dynamic range), but nothing becomes translucent or even transparent!
Frankly, the nuke propagandists need to upgrade their game. Got some serious hoax mending to do there.
Dear ioan, as I’ve written many times here:
Current leaders have inherited the hoax. Think about how much has been stacked on top of it. The captain of a giant oil tanker cannot suddenly stop and turn around. Likewise, the captain of a state ship may find it impossible to suddenly execute a comparable maneuver. The Russian President has no shortages of issues facing his country … and he’s doing an absolutely phantastic job in my opinion. And that’s been my hope and now my firm conviction for about 15 years. No joke.
Somewhere Putin stated (paraphrasing, don’t have the quote ready): “When working for the intelligence service, I thought we were pretty tough guys; but when I entered the world of politics, I realized that by comparison, the intelligence guys were innocent little children.” I heard that a couple years ago, don’t remember where.
IIRC, you are German, so I hope you’re aware of the gas chamber hoax. Think about how big of a hoax that is, ponder the implications, and consider the desastrous consequences (Azi America’s support for the Zionist Entity in Palestine). It’s one hell of a hoax!
Or think about so-called “man-made climate change”. What a load of computer simulated bunk – passing muster as “science”.
Okay?
Well, just make room in your mind for more hoaxes.
Yes Lumi, I’m aware of many hoaxes but this one – the nuclear issue – is a hard one, never heard before, let me have my skepticism.
RT is running this article. Its very disheartening from the look of it. I’m curious what Saker or some others with military technology backgrounds think about it:
https://www.rt.com/news/386276-us-missile-shield-russia-strike/
Offense and defense will always have their struggle in military development. And in final stage defense seems to take control.
It is only propaganda to scare you. Boring old Jewish bugaboo. I was frightened and worried a couple years ago when the “missile shield” idea first came up. Was reading de.ria.ru back then, and they had precisely the same propaganda. Really had me worried. For nothing, absolutely nothing. Because there’s really nothing to worry about the nuke hoax.
I guess Russia keeps flogging the nuke horse in hopes of respawning a peace movement in NATO states like back in the 80ies. Other than that, not sure what they’re at really. Anyway, I dislike it, as I don’t like being fooled.
The MOAB dropped by the bombastic PotUS in Afghanistan the other day is apparently the most destructive bomb that Azi America has. The long-range strike options are the B-52s, cruise missiles and Pershing 2 ballistic missiles (apparently 1800 km). Forget about ICBMs, just another hoax.
There are limits to the power of explosives and propulsion technology.
Read the heiwaco pages and study and verify his arguments using publicly available photos and videos of Hiroshima, Nagasaki and all the other Japanese (wooden) cities that were napalmed by Azi America. Then, download the Azi American propaganda movie “Trinity and Beyond” and have a good laugh at all the film fakery and model ships and houses and what not.
But well … it’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they’ve been fooled.
(I cannot see what could be wrong with this post.)
Fine, then we could have a world war 3 in the world war 2 style with many conscripts soldiers fighting each other. Then, would be a chance for one side to win. Do the politicians and military commanders know that ?
WW2 style? In theory, yes. But in practice, Azi America will find it difficult to steer Europeans in that directions. No conscription in Germany. On the other hand, technological refinement. Did you know that at the onset of Barabarossa, horses accounted for a significant percentage of our Wehrmacht logistic capacity? And today, we’re talking about autonomous weapon systems (= killer robots). So WW2 style won’t happen.
A chance for victory and do our leaders know? Sure the important leaders know. Question is: who are they? Putin – check. Trump – probably (he’s not the leader, he’s an actor). Kohl (80ies and 90ies)? Don’t know, but rather yes. Merkel? Same answer.
But the WW3 scenario is not what is being considered. So the quesion is irrelevant. Salamitaktik has been the order of the day for decades. Advance by small slices. Then occasionally a big one, like the destabilization of the Ukraine, prepared over two decades. Think about it.
WW2 did not go according to London’s and New York’s planning, and they were extremely lucky that Stalin’s arrogance came to the rescue so they ended up metastasizing to the European continent. A hypothetical WW3 might spiral out of control just as well, so if you are in power, why would you attempt to provoke it? The last va-banque politician was Adolf Hitler and judge by yourself whether the results have benefitted Germany. So va-banque won’t happen.
I do not see how Stalin “came to their rescue”. Much sooner, from whatever he had been before, Stalin had a change of heart and thwarted the plans of the Third Reich which are also the plans of the Fourth Reich comprised of the same people.
Hitler only went va banque because he had no other choice in the face of the totally unanticipated Russian/Soviet resistance to their mad scheme for global hegemony. They are now trying again, and going va banque already, as the world is showing too much resistance.
Hi Franz. You’re talking about the Third Reich’s “mad scheme for global hegemony”. This is Azi American propaganda. There were no such schemes. Even a fool can see that.
The Reich leadership’s plan was German restauration, which was actively supported by F/UK/US, with F being a bit hesitant. But the only reason they wanted to restore Germany was to bring it into conflict with the other major European power, Russia. Wenn sich zwei streiten, freuen sich die Dritten.
So in the summer of ’39, after Hitler’s move not to move east towards the Ukraine (thus thwarting F/UK/US plans), there were SU/F/UK/US negotiations underway in Moscow to bring down Germany. Which failed, because F/UK/US was expecting SU to do the fighting and dieing.
And then the catastrophe happened (from the F/UK/US point of view): Molotov-Ribbentrop pact! The exact opposite of what F/UK/US wanted to accomplish!
Time leap forwards to 11/1940: Molotov visits Hitler, with outrageous demands that Germany concede that large parts of Scandinavia and South-Eastern Europe are now under Soviet control. A very hostile stance, politically. And during all of 1941, German intelligence observed the immense Soviet military build-up along the border of the spheres of influence. A very hostile stance, militarily.
The book to read about the Soviet build-up is Suvorov’s Icebreaker.
And that’s how Barbarossa came into being. Germany had frankly enough trouble because it couldn’t end the war with England. There was no need to open a second front, had it not been for the aggressive Soviet stance. “If the fight is inevitable, be sure to strike first!” That’s what happened.
Stalin miscalculated badly. He underestimated the speed with which Germany could deploy a striking force. Stalin didn’t think the Red Army would collapse as it did in the first months of the war. As a result, the Soviet Union found itself bogged down in the defense of their homeland, and Germany bogged down even more far away from home.
And this horrible war enabled Azi America to take control of Germany and thus of Europe.
And this is how Stalin came to the rescue of F/UK/US.
And this is Stalin’s failure, not his glory. His objective was not to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat at horrible costs, but to extend the “Revolution” in one fell swoop to the shores of the Atlantic as liberator Europae. His objective was Bordeaux, not Berlin.
Lumi: Your arguments are provocative and interesting, to say the least.
However, by your own standards, of course, they must also be doubted, robustly!.
The idea that ICBMS don’t exist is somewhat incompatible, for example, with the evidence that a much, much larger payload like the Space Shuttles were lifted into orbit.
Unless those birds landing at Edwards Air Base were also faked it is clear that much smaller payloads could be delivered thousands of miles from the point of lift-off without much effort at all, in comparison.
Also, when a dish on the side of your house receives TV signals that you watch, and that dish is not connected by wires to any cables in the proximity of sidewalks by your house, or transmission lines overhead, most people would tend to believe (or know??) what you seem to be saying is false: Namely that satellites which were boosted into earth orbit have a great deal to do with their ability to cancel cable service and go with Direct TV, Or Dish Network.
Thanks for keeping everyone on their toes, by the way.
But the fact that there were models of houses and other structures put out as being levelled by government “education” films about nuclear blasts, in itself, proves absolutely nothing except that it was more convenient to use models and simulations than to film the real thing.
The real lesson, to me, is don’t trust your senses. They are useful for getting across the street in one piece uninjured, but not much more.
Hello, Bro 93. Sure my arguments must be doubted. But they can be checked using nothing but freely available photos and videos of Hiroshima, Nagasaki and other napalmed Japanese cities. Anyone can do it.
» The idea that ICBMS don’t exist is somewhat incompatible, for example, with the evidence that a much, much larger payload like the Space Shuttles were lifted into orbit. «
The Space Shuttles mounted to the “launch vehicle” were fake, but this is not the point. Launch into orbit is not the problem – reentry is. Reentering objects must be decelerated lest they burn up. Deceleration in quasi vacuum requires inverse propulsion. Engine and fuel need to be carried into space for this to be possible. The weight-to-power efficiency of current engines is insufficient for this to work. Man has propulsion technology to launch satellites and probably to reach the Moon and Mars, but it’s a one-way ride.
The Space Shuttles that landed were different from the ones launched into orbit.
Your understanding of how satellite TV works for the home consumer is a bit shaky. The LNB on the dish is never connected to anything on the curb. And there are no overhead “transmission lines” for HF TV signals, at least not in Germany. The LNB cables go to your DVB-S/S2 devices (TV sets, set-top boxes, PC cards, etc).
To clarify: The idea that satellites don’t exist is completely foolish, just like the idea that nuclear reactors don’t exist.
» But the fact that there were models of houses and other structures put out as being levelled by government “education” films about nuclear blasts, in itself, proves absolutely nothing except that it was more convenient to use models and simulations than to film the real thing. «
The fact that video pixels were used instead of real airplanes on 9/11 TV images and photos proves absolutely nothing except that it was more convenient to fake it than to make it.
The fact that studio settings were used instead of a real moon on the Apollo program TV images and photos proves absolutely nothing except that it was more convenient to fake it than to make it.
» The real lesson, to me, is don’t trust your senses. «
To me, it’s the exact opposite. Do trust them. But don’t trust the tube and the screen.
Artillery has not lost its vital role even in modern warfare even though it’s not very media sexy arm branch compared to air power and missiles. Artillery is very cost effective and with almost 20 000 pieces of artillery and rocket launchers of North Korea it can play crucial role to make heads cooler.
This makes a lot of sense.
I saw some images of the NK parade, just a couple seconds. The soldiers were impressive, the way they were marching. Physical fitness appeared top notch.
Bundeswehr can’t do it.
DDR NVA looked pretty cool, too. A former colleague, ex NVA soldier, told me, when he saw how sloppy things were in Bundeswehr, he was sure that had Eastern push come to Western shove, NVA would have on the Rhine river in 48 hours.
I’m becoming disappointed with Russia’s letting Israel have a free reign to bomb in Syria. And I suspect the Syrians and Iranians are more than disappointed at that too.Why are military strikes against Syria by the US condemned roundly by Russia as violations of international law. But Israeli airstrikes aren’t. Just “what” is the Russian arrangement with Israel that permits Israel to bomb Russia’s allies whenever they want to. Maybe its about time Syria and Iran start asking that question too.
Those are the only two countries that support Russia in the entire MENA. And while Russia has helped Stria against terrorism these last two years. Standing by and letting Israel savage Syria at will. Undermines a lot of the achievements made over those two years. In one way, in the arrangement Syria and Iran have with Russia,Syria and Iran benefit. And Russia has the upper hand. But in another way that isn’t totally true. Russia gains by preventing the Qatari gas pipeline from being built through a pro-US Syria. As well as the Russian navy having a Mediterranean base they wouldn’t have in a pro-US Syria. And the jihadis if successful in Syria would be strengthened and prepared to move against Russia in the Caucasus areas of Russia. So Russia gains a lot from being in Syria (as well as of course testing the ability of their Air Force and other weapons in live combat situations).
The Russian arrangement with Iran gives Russia a say in the oil and gas of Iran. And keeping a friendly Iran protects Russian interests in the Eastern Caucasus and in Central Asia.So their arrangement with Iran also benefits Russia as well as Iran.I’m pretty sure the Syrians,Iranians, and the Russians understand all that. So why does Russia endanger those arrangements by permitting Israel to bomb Syria whenever they want to. Syria and Iran perhaps should ask that question of Moscow.
The question you’ve posed is valid, and I too have asked it from time to time here.
It really pisses me off to see stuff like this happening.
This “arrangement” with Israel must stop now.
This conflict is at a critical juncture, and Russia runs the risk of alienating the groups most supportive of its efforts in Syria.
Russia cant on the one hand be fighting shoulder to shoulder with Iran, Syria and Hezbollah, and on the next hand, it makes arrangement with Israel that essential allows them to hit its allies whenever it sees fit.
But like you said, these are the only groups that are on Russia’s side throughout the entire region, so Russia had better wise up.
Russia needs to understand that its interests and those of Israel are diametrically opposed at every level, of this conflict, and even generally speaking
From the onset of this conflict, Israeli officials have stated publicly, and have demonstrated repeatedly through actions like these, that they wish for ISIS to prevail in Syria.
So, Israel long ago choose which side of this conflict it was on.
Russia must now do likewise and choose which side its on, but it cant have it both ways.
Yes,the “alliance” (even if the word is not used) between Russia,Iran, and Syria. Benefits equally both sides.Without Russian help,Syria is sure to fall to the US dominated terrorists. But then Russia loses out on much of her gas sales to Europe. See loses her only Mediterranean base (which seems to be important in her thinking). And see’s Syria turn into a base for jihadi actions in Russia herself. As well as one other thing I didn’t mention before.
For two years the Russian people have been told that saving Syria protects Russia from jihadi terror coming to Russia. They’ve been told that the US wants to control Syria to hurt Russia. They’ve lost Russian lives, and spent Russian money in Syria. So to give up the fight and put their tails between their legs and withdraw from Syria. Leaving its fate to the US and “moderate terrorists”. Would be one of the worse humiliations in Russian history. Certainly the worse humiliation in Russian 21st Century history. Could/would a Russian government survive that humiliation for long.Russian elections are next year.Everyone from the pro-US “liberals” ( who would be saying “Putin led us to this”) to the “nationalists” and left in Russia. To his military whose lives were lost, and whose honor is involved. would be against Putin. It would be extremely difficult for him to withstand that.
Now look at the Syrian side. For years they have resisted defeat by the West, the Gulf States,Saudi Arabia,Israel, and Turkey. Hundreds of thousands of lives have been lost. And millions displaced. Why?
They could have given in. Assad ,instead of resisting could have fled with his family to Iran.He could have left Syria and its people to the “mercy” of his enemies. He could have told the Qatari and Saudi leaders,”yes” build your pipeline.Just leave me and my family alone. But he chose to fight for Syria’s people and sovereignty. He chose to stand with his “allies” instead of knelling to their common enemies. So what must he be thinking, when he see’s his great ally allow Israel, the US,Turkey,to violate Syria’s sovereignty at their pleasure. Without stopping them,or giving him the means to stop them. What his “allies” need to realize is its not too late for him to change his mind even today. For him to say to his enemies,”have your pipeline.Kick Russia out of her base. Turn Syria into a jihadi base against Russia. I don’t care anymore. Just let me and my family go in peace, and its your show from now on”. Who could really blame him for saving himself when his allies seem to not be willing to give enough help to end this Syrian nightmare war.A war that is destroying Syria and her peoples daily. When they allow the almost daily loss of Syria’s sovereignty over its own territory and air space..
Then there is Iran. Iran like Syria wants its sovereignty and freedom. And has paid a high price for it. In the Iran-Iraq war it was paid in blood. And since 1979 its also been paid with harm done to their economy. A look at Iran’s location shows how important they are for Russia. They are the “plug” in the hole, that protects the Russian Caucasus. And the “soft underbelly” of Central Asia from NATO and the jihadi terrorists.A pro-US vassal Iran is a knife pointed at Russia. And when you add the Iranian oil and gas resources going under Western control, that doubles the harm to Russia. But Iran like Syria could give up her battle for freedom. She could say,”being a live vassal,is better than being a dead resister”.And there are those pro-Western Iranians that wouldn’t mind Iran changing course. She hasn’t done so yet, because her leadership does want Iran’s freedom. And they believe their “ally” is willing to help them. But is Russia truly willing to help Iran in the bottom line. We saw how during the sanctions period Russia did nothing for Iran. And even today it appears the aid Russia is willing to give must be cajoled out of her,not offered freely. As one would expect from an ally that has so much to lose themselves if Iran falls to the West.
So in my opinion, all sides benefit from their common alliance. And for that alliance,by whatever name,to continue successfully. All sides must understand the benefits of it. And be committed fully to it.Without that alliance all three lose. But the biggest loser would be Russia. For the West wants Syria and Iran as vassal states. While they want Russia to cease to exist. And be split up into several parts.Easier for them to control and loot.
I think that Russia, Iran and Syria have agreed on certain priorities on the ground, and the first priority is winning the war against the jihadists. As for the Syrian president to flee, it is too late, there is a catch 22 if he leaves. As you say, if he leaves for Iran, then the Iranians won’t be happy cause Iran will be left wide open as the next target. And there is Russia, will they agree with that ?
I don’t expect Assad to leave. But I do think he still could. If nothing else, to get what they want, the West could “clear his record” as the saying would go. And I think Iran would admit him happy or not. They would rightly blame Russia more than Assad for the loss. The point though isn’t that he would give up the fight. But that unless his “allies” get really serious about supporting him and winning the fight. What good does it do for him to fight on,and see Syria further destroyed. Just for the end to be defeat anyway. Those are points he needs to make pointedly with Moscow and Tehran. They, especially Russia, need to make a clear choice. Good relations (from a subservient position) with the West and Israel by ditching Syria. Or accepting that you will have bad relations with the West and Israel. And double down to save Syria. And decide how much the gas to Europe, the naval base, and not having a jihadi major base a short distance from Russia means to you.And choose which one matters more.
that ‘situation’ brings a picture of a bully’s crony peeking out from behind the ”monster” poking you with a long stick hoping you will attack him so the the bully can crush you.
@ Uncle Bob:
“I’m becoming disappointed with Russia’s letting Israel have a free reign to bomb in Syria. And I suspect the Syrians and Iranians are more than disappointed at that too. Why are military strikes against Syria by the US condemned roundly by Russia as violations of international law. But Israeli airstrikes aren’t. Just “what” is the Russian arrangement with Israel that permits Israel to bomb Russia’s allies whenever they want to. Maybe its about time Syria and Iran start asking that question too [..]”
My two cents regarding your fundamental question, in a nutshell; I feel it’s because Russia painted themselves into a corner, I’m afraid to say.
Being such a large country, sharing borders with so many other nations, they kindda reserve themselves the right (and I don’t blame them for it) to intervene militarily if trouble brews in any of those neighboring countries which might present a threat to mainland Russia.
Hence; the episodes of Chechnya, Georgia and Ukraine we’ve seen in recent years.
Equally, this unwritten ‘gentleman’s deal’ dictates that Russia wouldn’t protest a US military intervention if say… Mexico or Canada became a problem for the States.
Therefore in Syria… it’s highly unlikely Russia would protest [although on moral grounds they should] the incursions of any of the Syrian neighboring countries. And it’s not just Israel that they’re turning the blind eye to, let’s not forget Turkey, shall we? Please!
Same could be said about why they’ve been so shy about speaking-up against SA bombing Yemen. But in that case, it’s even more of a double-whammy; because Yemen doesn’t only share a border with SA, but the so-called legitimate government of Yemen (that flew to SA) did ask for the Saudis’ assistance to take the country back. That mirrors perfectly the situation of Assad requesting help from Russia, and in turn… this is also why Russia never said anything negative about US & Co intervening in Iraq at the Iraqi government request.
This is why I suspect that obsessing over Israel (and don’t get me wrong, I’d like to see Israel replaced by a hole in the ground and just allow the sea to reclaim the land) prevents a lot of folks from seeing the big picture and the role other less prominent players are doing, just because they’re so emotionally invested in hating the artificial “country” known as “Israel.” So, while we focus so intently on the wrongdoings coming from the ‘Never-Never Zion-Land’ that is Israel, we’re not paying attention to Turkey, for example, not to mention the constant backstabbing coming from Jordan’s direction…
Remember this? (* I bring this up because I know these kind of details go down the memory hole way too easily)

Jordan to Support the US in Syria – [25/02/2016]
“[..] Traditionally, Jordan is the conductor of the UK’s interests in the region and maintains good relations with the United States. Jordan sees Iran and the Shiite movement in the region as its enemy.
Siding with the Rebels
After the civil war in Syria, Jordan and other American allies supported the rebels. However, unlike other countries, the kingdom did not advertise their links with militants, officially adhering to a neutral position. The territory of the country is used to transport militants and ship them arms. It is worth noting that most of these fighters hold a Saudi and Qatar orientation and pose a threat to the very security of Jordan. However, the country’s dependence on the US and the Gulf monarchies has not left the Hashemite Kingdom of choice.”

Poem written by North Korean defector and former Kim Jong-Il poet, Jang Jin-Sung
I Am Selling My Daughter for 100 Won (10¢)
Exhausted, in the midst of the market she stood
“For 100 won, my daughter I sell”
Heavy medallion of sorrow
A cardboard around her neck she had hung
Next to her young daughter
Exhausted, in the midst of the market she stood
A deaf-mute mother
She gazed down at the ground, just ignoring
The curses the people all threw
As they glared
At the mother who sold
Her motherhood, her own flesh and blood
Her tears dried up
Though her daughter, upon learning
Her mother would perish of a deadly disease
Had buried her face in the mother’s long skirt
And bellowed, and cried
But the mother stood still
And her lips only quivered
Unable she was to give thanks to the soldier
Who slipped a hundred won into her hand
As he uttered
“It is your motherhood,
And not the daughter I’m buying”
She took the money, and ran
A mother she was,
And the 100 won she had taken
She spent on a loaf of wheat bread
Toward her daughter she ran
As fast as she could
And pressed the bread on the child’s lips
“Forgive me, my child”
In the midst of the market she stood
And she wailed.
Wonderful, many thanks for sharing it with us !
[I second that; sheds new light on the NK question.~Mod. DG]
Your welcome. The poem was written by Jang Jin-Sung prior to his defecting to South Korea, the description in the poem was naturally witnessed by him.
He has written about his life in Dear Leader: My Escape from North Korea
Its a sad poem. But unasked, and unanswered in the poem is “why”. And there lays the problem. Its not enough to bemoan those conditions. It must be explained “why” those conditions existed.North Korea has for over 60 years been under attack from the US. Not usually military attack. That would be clearly seen. But by social and economic attack. Deliberately driven into poverty to further a US geopolitical agenda. They did/do that in Cuba,Venezuela,Syria,Iran, and North Korea. They tried it and mostly succeeded for a time with the USSR,and Eastern Europe, and with China. And they are trying that with much less success (so far) with Russia. Just one tiny example is enough to show their policy. During the 1990’s they sanctioned Iraq heavily (less than they do with NK,BTW). And 500,000 people ,mostly children died because of those sanctions. When asked if it was worth those innocent lives just to weaken Iraq. The US SOS answered “yes it was”.To further the US’s agenda they will remorselessly create the conditions highlighted in that poem. So once again, its not enough to feel sad about those conditions.Without understanding “who” and “what” is to blame for them.
As to the author of that poem. He left his country and moved to the US dominated South Korea. Then he writes a book condemning North Korea. We don’t know if what he writes is true or not. But we do know that he left his country and sided with the enemy of his country. So I think there is a big question mark over his writing. Russian oligarchs have “fled” Russia for the “freedom” of the West (usually with their millions of stolen money). Then they talk and write about the “horrors” in “Putin’s Russia”. Do we believe them as well. After all they left Russia, they are good writers in most cases. So by the Western thinking,”surely they are telling the truth”.
I think we appreciate this poem as a piece of poetry per se. That you added the realities, is very good and welcome, yet not be forgotten.
Is life in any country, that has resisted US, that has been under attack from US for 60-70 years good?
Very very touching…….

… one of Saker’s best. Don’t miss!
Good morning. It’s fun to pretend this cafe is real like you and me, wherever we are; to mix the virtual and physical worlds. In that respect this cafe, within this vineyard, is a step removed from actually being together.
I like the feeling of a “cafe kitchen” or just a plain old homey kitchen like we used to have with grandma or mother–if we were so lucky. They say that the kitchen is the heart of the home. Many prefer to have coffee in the morning; I am sipping on a cup of hot water now in this outdoor kitchen here in Southern California. I say outdoor because it is outside, within a framework of polyethylene clear sheeting.
The milieu sort of fits the picture above of children sitting outside with a lake in the background. Looks to be a bit chilly; perhaps it’s part of a school. There’s mostly girls which the serious looking lad in the back does not seem too happy about.
The conversation on the web as usual is centered around Trump. He’s always up to something, keeping the pot stirred. Ivanka is featured at my Yahoo account at the moment. A pretty woman always commands attention.
Seriously, it seems that war and politics is always in the background. And Israel is always the elephant in the room, as I think the Saker observed. Power comes in small units, I guess. I have a serious side, like that boy in the back in the above picture. ioan counsels to have more humor. I agree, that’s an important ingredient in life.
I’m lucky since I’m retired with an adequate income. I’ve put in my time on the chain gang of empire; somewhere near the bottom of the great chain of being, otherwise called a pyramid. But ioan is right; lighten up. I did awaken this early morning with pleasure on my mind. The English word “love” seems to derive from the Latin lubere, or lube, to lubricate, to flow; which connects with the ancient language of the myths of paradise. Eden means literally “pleasure where waters flow,” which fits with a kind of spiritual sexuality…and on and on in that vein, which is not exactly humorous but is delightful, at least for me.
Anyhow, just wanted to say “hi” and wish us all well on this new morning (a Dylan song). The sun here has just risen above yon eastern hill and is shining through the plastic into my left eye. Love you all. Have a great day.
etymology of word love
ove (n.) Look up love at Dictionary.com
Old English lufu “feeling of love; romantic sexual attraction; affection; friendliness; the love of God; Love as an abstraction or personification,” from Proto-Germanic *lubo (source also of Old High German liubi “joy,” German Liebe “love;” Old Norse, Old Frisian, Dutch lof; German Lob “praise;” Old Saxon liof, Old Frisian liaf, Dutch lief, Old High German liob, German lieb, Gothic liufs “dear, beloved”).
The Germanic words are from PIE root *leubh- “to care, desire, love,” perhaps originally “to please” (source also of Latin lubet, later libet “pleases,” libido, lubido “desire, longing; sensual passion, lust;” Sanskrit lubhyati “desires,” lobhaya- “to make crazy;” Persian ahiftan “to be tangled, be hit down, be in love;” Old Church Slavonic l’ubu “dear, beloved,” ljubiti, Russian ljubit’ “to love;” Lithuanian liaupse “song of praise”).
To paraphrase Lao Tzu:
The love that can be talked about, is not real love.
He who, silent, loves to be with us — he who loves us in our silence — has touched one of the keys that ravish hearts.

Some evening thoughts on my current home…
Japan’s ruling establishment is thoroughly infected with neocon disease and senile ignorance of the crimes of their Anglo-American allies. As a possibly permanent expat here, my primary hope right now is that the current government collapses before they get totally roped into the dying Empire. Those hoping for a true resurrection of national independence do exist, like in America, but they are firmly out of power and, also like America, the voices of globalist left-liberalism are much stronger.
Don’t believe any nonsense you read on right wing Internet pages about Japan being some kind of traditionalist paradise…
I gave up on expecting anything from Japan since the ongoing fukushima disaster began.
The anti-nuclear movement in Japan has been sidelined but has proven highly resilient. They will probably be a part of whatever comes after this government, if American empire collapses entirely.

Stolen Child
I went into a cave as dark as night
Stolen away was my daughter so bright
Rising above all your powers of belief
Just to know the absolute numbing grief
Five times rang this death-theft’s solemn knell
At five different times the same story I could tell
In dark nights starless cave you’ll fall apart
For hearts to be the world, the world to be
Your heart.
Great ! is this your composition, cause if it is, have my great appreciation and welcome to the Deadly Poets Society !
Thank you! Yes, this was my composition from yesterday, written before searching for a contemporary North Korean poem, and finding the one above, by Jang Jin-Sung.
Things happen in synchronicity and life has a human face, always about a person or a people, and is a battle of the human spirit inseparable from war, or war is about spirit.
But I am not a new dead poet ; ) having posted many comments and poems here at the Cafe and on threads here at Sakers ; ) with username(s), and as anonymous. My first was in 2014.
I defend the right to this course on grounds of a male dominated site in a male dominated world, because of shyness, and because of the kinds of prejudices that may be found in all of the above. But also, often when i write something it feels universal, not just me.
Wise choice: many of the best sci fi writers in English used nom de plume i.e. C.J. Cherryh and Andre Norton.
The testosterone runs deep here and I love it. Elsi found that the guys like to run in packs and that bothered her– I miss her revolutionary righteousness!! And her musical selections.
I learned very early in life to hold my own and to float in the tide having been raised by 3 older brothers in a family where the female was denigrated. One can learn the importance of anonymity and self protection or the value of merely setting boundaries. Or one can have fun tweaking the tail of the male ego–carefully, girl, very carefully. It is an Aries thing.
Venus moves to Aries today!!! yay! Play! rock it, move it, stay in the groove with it! And it is Spring! May Day! flowers, bees, sprouting trees wheeee!
Volleyball has to be her favorite game in this month with a Gemini Mars on the other side of the non neutral net. Tit for tat and that is that.
Look, we are full of sensibilities but I don’t see any prejudices against the other sex, there are many female contributors here and all are welcome, personally I could name some of them which have a well deserved appreciation. Don’t be shy, the life is too short and nobody thanks you for that, the life is tough but there is always a chance that there is somebody who at least try to understand you…
Painting
Sitting in my room, looking through the window,
Above the city vault, slowly, appears a rainbow,
Like a painting,
Which is forming,
Under the gentle hands of the great Mother Nature
Using her brushes, on every spot and every creature.
Below, the wet and rainy street, playing with a mirror,
Mirroring the walking people with humid, pastel color.
Suddenly, the rain has slowed, then has ceased,
Followed by a gentle wind, coming from east.
Warmly sun rays are painting the roofs with gold,
In late afternoon, contrasting the shadows of cold.
Just my soul is lacking the warmly rays of sun
Looking at the nature’s beauty and having fun.
It seems, the cold has find it’s place in my home
No prayers can tell it to go where she came from.
Emboldened on the causes, I’m angry on myself,
Waiting for the wonder before the clock is twelve.
I’ve been told
I’m getting old,
The heart is slower,
The energy is lower,
Blood pressure is higher,
While my doc is a liar,
Where is the Love Bower ?
Sitting in my room, looking through the window,
Above the city vault, slowly, appears a rainbow,
Like a painting, which is forming, yet not finished
The canvas is there, but the painters are banished.
I like that one!
Even in the throes of slow recovery from fatigue.
This I will revisit when fresh as a daisy Friday morning.
Cafe Dichter Daisies Sprouting
It and others popping up will motivate
A deeper rest and calm this Thursday night
To better serve Friday’s breakfast plate
Of soul-nourishing regenerating delight,
Before joining the general frantic fray
Of this week’s concluding work week day.

Macedonian Opposition Leader Assaulted, Bloodied by Protesters (PHOTOS, VIDEO)
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia calls to end external pressure on Macedonia and allow the responsible political forces of the country to determine for themselves its further development, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Friday.
“We are deeply concerned about the latest developments in the Republic of Macedonia. On April 27, the opposition that lost the parliamentary elections actually carried out an attempt to seize power in the country by force… having elected the chairman of the Assembly (parliament) with a gross violation of the established procedures,” the statement said.
The ministry said that as a result of a brawl involving demonstrators who spoke against the ‘impostors’, people were injured, some of them hospitalized, adding that official EU representatives, ambassadors of a number of European countries and the United States immediately welcomed the “new chairman” of the parliament.
“Such a quick coordinated reaction undoubtedly testifies to the fact that what happened had been planned in advance, with the secret knowledge of the ‘external supervisors’ of the Macedonian opposition,” it said.
The ministry called for seeking a solution to the situation only by means of an intra-Macedonian dialogue.
“It is necessary to stop any external pressure and allow the responsible political forces of the Republic of Macedonia to determine the further development of the country on their own,” the statement said.”

Yeah, sure, in our revolutionary anti-imperialistic paradise, right?
I agree with Servando Gonzales: The fake beast is finally dead…
“Acting on behalf of his CFR masters, he heated up the Cold War. Nevertheless, despite the fact that Castro was an agent of the most reactionary right, the world leftists saw him as a man of the Left. They failed to see that he was actually a secret agent of the most reactionary people in this planet: oil magnates, international bankers and CEOs of transnational corporations. Nevertheless, he was extremely successful in fooling the lefties and “progressives” of the world to think that he was a man of the Left who cared for the rights of the poor farmers and workers.”

Sorry to all revolutionary fellow cafe residents, but the “Truth will set you free” is necessary to practice in a real life, not just during an intellectual cafe debates… :)
Viva la libertad en mi corazón! Esto es la Revolución real, profunda y para siempre.
I don’t think I’ve seem more of a “fake news” story than that article by the “gusano” Servando Gonzales. Like all good fake news he weaves a few facts into his account to make it appear true. While 99% of it is fake.No one that lived as a well read adult in that period would buy it for a minute. And certainly no one such as myself that spent time in Cuba at the height of the Revolutionary period. The “gem” of the story, that the Cubans would attack and kill Soviet soldiers at a base in Cuba, doesn’t even pass the “laugh test”.The article counts on the gullibility of people that are young,or know nothing about Cuba and its history to find people to believe him.I don’t fit into either category.
I wouldn’t even bother opening this link.
You would have to buy the commonsense- defying trope that the Cuban embargo following the revolution was actually part of a Castro – led ‘ conspiracy’ on behalf of the colonials.
When the oligarchy had a perfect exploitative setup under Batista?
Yeah, that makes a bunch of sense.
Why his demonization in the oligarch- controlled western media if he was ‘ one of them’?
Why did he not move to the West and enjoy a sybaritic existence after ‘ achieving ‘ on behalf of his ‘ sponsors’, instead of staying in embargo- battered Cuba?
Its one thing to query the efficiency of the revolution in terms of objectives and goals, quite another to colonial- wash its leaders as ‘ secret agents.’
Does the fact that Google only got in the door following Castro’s death not tell you anything?
Uncle Bob 1:
I’m obviously younger. But his book “Psychological Warfare and the New World Order”, with all the references, makes multi-layer sense to me.
On the other hand, I would not count 100% on one’s memories from the times, when the eyes and ears were not opened yet (assuming, they are more open now). Plus infected with a sentiment and nostalgia. No offense intended, just a dose of epistemological skepticism from own experience.
Eimar:
Regardless I cannot answer your questions due to the time. But this one:
Q: “Why his demonization in the oligarch-controlled western media if he was ‘ one of them’?”
A: “Trump, anyone?” :)
When you want to sell an idea to young/alternative people, it should be: “taboo”, “revolutionary”, “forbidden”, “scandalous”, “blacklisted”….
The same as the whole “culture revolution” project from 60’…
Cheers.
” A. ” Trump, anyone?” :)”
It wasn’t on the basis of ideological hostility, as with Castro.
It still remains to be answered why, apart from his obvious psychological demerits ( narcissism, chauvinism ) and the fact that Clinton was ear- marked as the continuation of A- Z hegemony.
I’d say it was because he was perceived as a ‘ loose cannon’ and potentially a peacenik (‘ Wouldnt it be nice if we could get along with Russia?’)
Now that he is acting like a Hillary, he is getting the ‘ good press’ he so craved.
All within a hundred days.
Compare that to the decades- long hostility to Castro’ s Cuba, not to mention the embargo.
So an invalid comparison.
@eimar.
Correct:, “Trump, anyone?” Is, as you say an invalid comparison.
Trump is an “outsider” _ but only in the sense of a “nerd” or “dorky” kid is not one of the “cool kids” at the prestige high school. The dork is still attending the prestige school, so in terms of wider society IS an “insider”…..
As you state, opposition to Castro WAS ideological. He was definitely NOT an insider – he was, in the parlance of the era, an “uppity nigger” who needed to know his place. ((If people don’t like that term, it is historically accurate of the time, language and mindset if the era. ))
//Accept that this terminology is not correct or appropriately used in 2017…. But it was in common usage at the time of Castro. ( And played a real part of the hostility towards him as he refused to be subservient to US interests) ///
You said: It still remains to be answered why, apart from his (Trumps) obvious psychological demerits (narcissism, chauvinism) and the fact that Clinton was ear-marked as the continuation of A- Z hegemony.
Yes: as I have posted previously, Wikileaks and John Podesta emails are irrefutable evidence Hillary was anointed to win. After her health meltdown on 9/11 there were concerns in the inner sanctum about her health. So several things happened. DeepState support waived, AND Trump the celebrity wooed the electorate, AND the HRC hubris believed her Presidency was a “done deal”, so they failed to campaign (and ballot-rig) effectively in key areas. So, they failed. A win for “democracy”… If you like….
And yes, as you state, in less than 100 days “they” have neutered/corralled/ indoctrinated or even just flattered Trump into being Clinton.
Whatever Castro was, he was a half-century annoyance to the Hegemon. Cuba still does not have a Controlled Central Bank…. Arriving in 3-2-1…….
Hi Rublev, You know that I am one of the “oldies” here. I have lived half of my life in the communist/socialist Romania and… believe or not, I wasn’t dumb, even if back then there was no internet. If it were, the system would have survived probably, learning very fast the ways of the larger and much more efficient propaganda – which comes with the internet. back then, we had the radio free Europe and Radio Liberty to listen to and the country newspapers. We have learned to compare the things very quickly and learned to read between the lines – so to speak. Of course, a lot of people (we are different) have taken one or the other side as a heavenly truth. I know, what was the dark side and what was the bright side in that system and if I have some nostalgia, is for the bright side which has been chewed many times here with numerous examples. We just lived in those days, accumulated experience and we are here now, we can compare the past with the present. That’s life. But we are not dumb nor fools, just learn the lessons of our life and history.
Right you are ioan..

Guantanamera
I am a truthful man
From where the palm tree grows
And before dying I want
To let out the verses of my soul
My verse is light green
And it is flaming red
My verse is a wounded stag
Who seeks refuge on the mountain
I grow a white rose
In July just as in January
For the honest friend
Who gives me his open hand
With the poor people of the earth
I want to cast my lot

From updated analysis of statistical climate change to boots on the ground UK evidence based weather phenomenology :
Tuesday last frost in the south ruining the newly set fruit of masses of plum trees in orchards, not to mention other other plant species newly growing. Also hale stone storm and cold weather all over.
Today marginally warmer but fierce winds blow the birds soaring, diving through the skies,
Good morning, World, which some say is round and others flat; how can I tell this from that? You have your way and I have mine; together we consult the vineyard vine.
I’m now 77 which some say is doubly lucky. The Love Government was founded on 7/7/07 at 7:07 am in Libbey (or as I prefer to call it: Liberty Park), in front of the spouting water fountain under the watchful gaze of the tower at the corner of Signal Street and Ojai Avenue.
The Love Government is my own personal epistemological way to tell this from that. In the Love Government calendar this is week 19 in the solar love year. The theme for this week is “Mind,” the fifth space up in the suit of space, after body, feeling, fantasy and dream.
The featured tarot card is the Wheel of Fortune, showing a mind’s eye in the sky, with “taro” spinning clockwise and “tora” turning counter-clockwise. A sphinx, snake and jackal surround the all-seeing eye. The evangelists Mark, Matthew, Luke and John are at the four corners, under the icons of lion, ox, angel and eagle.
No one that I know of really knows where the word “tarot” comes from or what it means. It is shrouded in mystery. I choose to believe it means “to love,” from the sound vibration of “ta row”, or “ta roe”, both ancient archetypes of love and sex.
By the way, thanks to teranam 13 for the etymology of love. It’s so precious I wrote it down. And contrary to _smr’s quote from Lao Tsu’s “The love that can be talked about is not real love,” I would say “The love that cannot be talked about is not real love,” since talk involves love’s love for the human mind as one of her beautiful qualities and the sine qua non of this cafe. How about an etymology of “kind” and “care”?
The mind has two polarities in rhyme: kind and blind. Since poetry has such prominence in this cafe of dreams, allow me to share this stream of consciousness poem from week 19 of the love calendar. In the original manuscript the margins of the text are justified straight at the top, bottom, left and right to suggest a container for water. Here I have unpacked that tightness and arranged the text in lines.
The poem is entitled “Mind” with the polarities of “Kind” and ‘Blind.” The text sits within the margin of a house, with “ConsiOusness” as the roof, suggesting a House of Cards, with the card Mind at the top and within this house in week 19. The Love Government uses a house of 52 Consciousness Cards and 52 Tarot Cards (the minor arcana is doubled back to back and the two cover cards of the Universal US Games Systems Waite deck included) as its formal structure.
The human mind (homo sapiens) is the key to unlocking the logjam of Love and War, the middle term of the Body, Mind and Spirit paradigm. Mind in the middle solves the riddle.
The Mind is a structure, a shelter in itself
A place to put ideas like pots on a shelf
You can hang your thoughts there like coats on a tree
The Mind’s a rack for your hat, a hook for your key
A Mind is your home, built stone by stone
The one thing in life you can say you own
There’s no deed for your wife and your body is on loan
Your Mind is a little house, a room in consciousness
Without the Mind as your home base
You’ll buy from any quack who comes along
Without a house built on rock, you will sell your soul for a song
It’s body, Mind and spirit so philosophers say
Cut out the middle and you’ll pay for what you slay
Your body will decay and your spirit will not play
A Mind is another step along the line of space
Miss that step and you’ll fall down on your face
Even worse than a no Mind is the curse of a Blind Mind
Those who don’t know it and have to prove it set a snare in their lair
You can tell if a Mind’s in hell
It’s Blind as a bat and unkind as well
A Kind Mind would not knock down towers in pursuit of powers
Nor call nine one one on nine eleven
And make a hell out of heaven
Then blame the wrong one
For what they themselves have done
Blind Minds play war games in white houses
And play Mind games with see through blouses
My Kind of Mind is not easy to build
Takes a structure of justice, not just the gild
Whatever your art, start with your heart
Love is the floor and everything more
Love is Kind, the Earth Lover said
She wasn’t Blind from the books that she read
Love made a home in the streets of Rome
But she wasn’t Blind to the roming Mind
Imperial power has its brief hour
But Love lives forever in a house on the heather
Holding us together in all kinds of weather
Lovus Lover, loving mother
Would you Mind to be Kind
My Mind’s made up, my house is too
My Mind is Kind and my spouse is true
I won’t Mind if I find
That my house is you
Leary Blessed
I actually read it twice,
By intangibles enticed.
It’s one of your best.
You seldom ever rest.
But tonight I must.
Yet, in Love I trust,
I can’t say any more,
Imagination’s shore,
Beckons the mind
Leaving brass behind
Spirit searching the gold
Of muses heard, behold:
In the recesses of the deep,
Night sea of blissful sleep
Bears the weary soul afar
On ebb tide, across the bar.
Have saved both and the poem of Anonymous above for the eternity (if there will be electricity) I miss Kinterra’s poems and Teranam’s, but I’m sure they will come…
Jung, who was befriended with Richard Wilhelm who translated and commented the old original text of the I Ging, tells, that Wilhelm finally translated “Tao” with German: “Sinn”, English: “Meaning”.

Going to read your poem once again
“The mind has two polarities in rhyme: kind and blind.”
what about the polarity of blind and find
and as opposites to blind: kind = find
“The Love Government is my own personal epistemological way to tell this from that.”
You are right, every man should have such way, he could give the world his names better than all the fake-names to be lied with, and to fall for.
To me the zodiac gives the epistemological borders, but I like to have you with your 52 cards as neighbor.
I havn’t read any poem as nice as yours about the Seele /mind. ( havn’t read too many). It’s a great way to speak out the truth of yourself embedded in the ready to live in structure of the mind.
There is spirit loping with you, glad to know you
” Therefore, how much longer can it be until even his most ardent fans realize what a loser he is?
That is the crucial question because their support for him, in the first place, was based in large part on their patently ridiculous belief that he would somehow make “deals” that would set the world aright and “make America first again.” They hardly counted on him making himself, and America with him, a laughing-stock.
Republican leaders must realize by now that the way to make the best of the situation would be to dump Trump as soon as they can. How much better off they would be with one of their own, Mike Pence, a bona fide reactionary with deep ties to the libertarian and theocratic wings of the party, in command!
This is one of those rare instances in which what is good for the Republican Party actually is good for the country and the world — if only because with Pence in charge instead of Trump, there would be less danger of a nuclear conflagration being set off in a fit of pique. The “darker angels” of our nature would also get less encouragement from the commanding heights. ”
http://www.counterpunch.org/2017/04/28/why-i-fear-and-loathe-trump-even-more-now-than-on-election-day/
It appears that Trump has defused the North Korea threat and it may lead to talks with them. If true, this is a huge foreign policy successful move on the 4D chessboard.
How many here will give Trump credit where credit is due, if what I said is true? I still believe that the Love Army and the neo-Anglo (not to be confused with the Anglo-Zionists) deep state put him in despite all the odds and I continually send Donald love. He sure needs it, surrounded by enemies that would like him dead. At least Putin, according to Saker, has a 50-50 balance of power in the Russian deep state, with only half of the in-sider fighters wanting Putin dead.
The game is not over until the clock runs out and the last time I looked it was still ticking. If it stops ticking, let me know and don’t tell me who won because I want to see the re-run.
Sadly, Montenegro ended an over 500 year friendship with Russia today. And now must be counted as an enemy of Russia’s. In the fullness of time that tiny state with bare the responsibility for their fate in a war.I have little to zero sympathy for a people that foolish and treacherous. And before anyone thinks to bring up my own country. I have little sympathy for my people’s idiocy as well.
https://www.rt.com/news/386529-nato-montenegro-russia-referendum/
I’m afraid that it could be a backlash, and that will come to surface with Montenegro’s actual stance against the illegal migrants. The internal political clashes can lead to opening of the gates and Europe will have a repeat of 2015. Some, are totally aware with this action and they are willing to pursue their plan for Europe.
The Montenegrin elites have found a new ‘best friend’ – Uncle Schmuley. They better not turn their backs on him when he comes to their basement apartment. After visiting their mom, Serbia, to give them a pep talk.
http://www.counterpunch.org/2017/04/28/americas-new-nuclear-missile-endangers-the-world/
“Writing in the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists, Hans Kristensen, director of the Nuclear Information Project of the American Federation of Scientists, Matthew McKinzie of the National Resources Defense Council, and physicist and ballistic missile expert Theodore Postol, conclude that “Under the veil of an otherwise-legitimate warhead life-extension program,” the U.S. military has vastly expanded the “killing power” of its warheads such that it can “now destroy all of Russia’s ICBM silos.”
The upgrade—part of the Obama administration’s $1 trillion modernization of America’s nuclear forces—allows Washington to destroy Russia’s land-based nuclear weapons, while still retaining 80 percent of the U.S.’s warheads in reserve. If Russia chose to retaliate, it would be reduced to ash. “

Professor Postol (MIT): “However, my understanding is that it is easy to acquire hexamine, and so the presence of the substance does not indicate state-sponsored manufacture. I also understand that hexamine is a common byproduct from explosives. Is that right?”
Dr. Sellström responded:
“It is really a question of the meaning of the word indicating. The presence of hexamine could, indeed, indicate that the source is the government. Leaving out who actually used it.
But it could also indicate a lot of other things, like someone using the same recipe for example”
This article is written in Thailish language.
What is Buddhism?. Buddhism is parapsychology, pure and simple.
The Kalama Suttta states; (edit from Wiki).
Do not go upon what has been acquired by repeated hearing,
nor upon tradition,
nor upon rumor,
nor upon what is in a scripture,
nor upon surmise,
nor upon an axiom,
nor upon specious reasoning,
nor upon a bias towards a notion that has been pondered over,
nor upon another’s seeming ability,
nor upon the consideration, The monk is our teacher.
Kalamas, when you yourselves know: “These things are good; these things are not blamable; these things are praised by the wise; undertaken and observed, these things lead to benefit and happiness,” enter on and abide in them.
I shall explain the notion of “you yourself know” stated in Kalama Suttra.
Suppose, your friend lights up a candle and tell you “the flame is hot” and you say “yes”
It means “you know” the flame is hot but not “you yourself know” the flame is hot.
“You yourself know” the flame is hot is when you point your finger directly into the flame then immediately “you yourself know” the flame is hot.
So the notion of “you yourself know” is not simply ” know” but “get experience”.
I shall extend the notion of “you” vs “you yourself”.
Suppose, you get addicted to cigarrette, you fully known that it is dangerous, but you cannot quit, why?.
Because “you” know it is dangerous but not “you yourself” know it is dangerous.
It means “you” is not “you yourself” and “you yourself” is not “you”.
“You” cannot exist without “you yourself” exist.
But “you yourself” can exist without “you” exist.
When “you yourself” asleep, then where are “you”?.
For comparison; “you yourself” is like a home and “you” are the home owner.
In hypnotism, the hypnotist will try to bypass “you” and gain accesses into “you yourself”.
Like to chase “you” out of your home and get in to occupied it instead. Same like demonic possession.
Hitler had said “make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it”. What does it mean.com?.
It means “make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it” until “they themselves” believe it, regardless of “they” believe it or not.
In Russian strategy vs US strategy; Russian strategy is defensive, the soldiers feel “I am going to fight to protect my motherland”, so “they themselves” is “psychologically protected”.
US strategy is offensive, the soldiers feel “I am going to kill someone I even not know who he is”, so “they themselves” feel sorrow and eventually developed to PTSD.
So the news “US soldiers die more from suicide than from battle field” is not “fake news”?.
I had red a news, I don’t know whether this news is fake, I think this news is fake.
The news mentions a killer drone operator, he quits his job after kills more than 1000 lives, I forgot the exact number, so I assume the number is 1001 lives.
I had the following words:
“Hey you, the number 1001 victim, I pay congratulation to you, your death does induces that guy into awakening!. Wow how good you are!.
Hey you, the number 1-1000 victims, I feel sorry for all of you, you all die like toads, no value for that guy.
Hey you, that guy, the once “droner killer”, if you feel anxious, be acknowlegded that you are not the first one, Googles “Angulimala” and read the related articles. I pray may you achieve what Angulimala had achieved. Good luck.”
Elsewhere in Buddhist Suttra stated that The Buddha “demonstrate” his Dharma not just “talk”. That demonstration will eventually “teach” you to bring “you yourself” into enlightenment.
I shall explain in comparison mode.
Suppose, you want to dance and you go to dance school to learn how to dance, the dance guru tells you hey guy you move you hands like this this this move you feet like this this this and your eyes see his demonstration your ears hear his explaination. Then eventually you can dance. If suppose you are blind or deaf, then you hardly finished the couse.
Think of the violinist Itzhak Perlman plays Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto Op. 35. First he learns and practices the notes until “he himself” get use to it. Then at the show he bypass “he” and get accesses into “he himself” and leads “he himself” into “in the zone” and then guides “he himself” play the violin to the finished without “he” or his conscious participated.
It means you, human, you stood in front of me with just one body but three identities!
If suppose you are fluent in Pali language. You may feel surprise of the strange repeated phrases registered in Buddhist Pali text. A lot of people feel it unnecessary to have the phrases repeat repeat repeat.
Here is my question; Is that strange repeated phrases somehow resembling the modern “Neuro Linguistic Programming” language?.
As an aggregator, I take in the Cafe conversations, the nuclear bunk and debunk, the aromas, the Trumpista despair and Leary Korea Nord Apologetica, Theodore Postol on Syria and nukes and decide the overall message is to chill in the Cafe and post the next installment of Essay on Man, instead of “going postal” in microcosmic imitation of the macrocosmic Hegemon:
https://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.PMkZDuujJZGcuxwxCeJQcgEsDG&w=261&h=173&c=7&qlt=90&o=4&dpr=1.25&pid=1.7
I left off with first section of Epistle III.
The second section resonates, at least for me,
with what impressions I have “gathered” so far in this Cafe.
II. ” Whether with reason, or with instinct blest,
Know, all enjoy that power which suits them best;
To bliss alike by that direction tend,
And find the means proportioned to their end.
Say, where full instinct is the unerring guide,
What pope or council can they need beside?
Reason, however able, cool at best,
Cares not for service, or but serves when pressed,
Stays till we call, and then not often near;
But honest instinct comes a volunteer,
Sure never to o’er-shoot, but just to hit;
While still too wide or short is human wit;
Sure by quick nature happiness to gain,
Which heavier reason labours at in vain,
This too serves always, reason never long;
One must go right, the other may go wrong.
See then the acting and comparing powers
One in their nature, which are two in ours;
And reason raise o’er instinct as you can,
In this ’tis God directs, in that ’tis man.
Who taught the nations of the field and wood
To shun their poison, and to choose their food?
Prescient, the tides or tempests to withstand,
Build on the wave, or arch beneath the sand?
Who made the spider parallels design,
Sure as Demoivre, without rule or line?
Who did the stork, Columbus-like, explore
Heavens not his own, and worlds unknown before?
Who calls the council, states the certain day,
Who forms the phalanx, and who points the way?”
Have a nice day….
By the way, De Moivre 1667-1754 pioneered mathematical studies of probability.
“De Moivre, like Cardan, is famed for predicting the day of his own death. He found that he was sleeping 15 minutes longer each night and summing the arithmetic progression, calculated that he would die on the day that he slept for 24 hours. He was right!”
@ Lumi
A small poem, I couldn’t resist the temptation. (“I can resist everything but temptation.” – Oscar Wilde) :
Also alles ist nur Lüge
Die Bombe gibt es nicht,
Falsch oder war, unklar
Aber gut für ein Gedicht.
Schaut man plötzlich in der Spiegel
Was zum Teufel, bin ich ein Engel ?
Spiegel sagte : ” Du bist nicht,
aber skeptisch… ist Dein Pflicht ”
So everything is just a lie
The bomb does not exist,
Wrong or true, unclear
But good for a poem.
Looking suddenly in the mirror
What the hell, am I an angel?
Mirror said : “You are not,
But skeptical… is your duty “
“We’re sick of him!” Protest
( Russia- you’ve come a long way baby! )
Putin has been in power 17 years Here’s a quote from from a 16 year old protester:
“Nothing positive has happened in our country on his watch and I have the sense that things are getting worse, and that the main problem is the fact that those in power are the same,” she told Reuters.
Does Anna from Moscow realise that her short 16 years alive _ this is pretty much the only era that people in Russia/ Soviet Union/ especially 16 year olds – ever had the freedom to protest – and talk to and be quote in foreign press?
Soros and his “open” society projects – they operate everywhere and everywhere are recruited dupes happy to parrot the provided talking points”.
Anna needs to get to know her John, er George a little better (hint: more lighting, not less) before taking his money and getting into political “bed” YUCK!! with him:

Now that IS a reptile visage!
Gosh.
At sixteen at least I knew I knew nothing….
Anna should read a little Socrates and instead of hoping Justin Bieber is listening….
Thanks, Eimar!
I was waiting for the pop culture prompt, and you served it up “slow pitch”, right down the middle of the plate.
Time for some levity and just about as close as we get in Pindo-land to “classical” culture.
At risk of offending our Canadians, eh? let’s pump up the Germans in the anti-Empire Multi-polar Alliance with this Bieber vs Beethoven EPIC Rap Battle of History!, Ja, ja:

IMHO Ludwig beats Justin with by a knockout line with his “I would smack you , but in Germany, we don’t hit little girls!”
“Who Won? Who’s Next? You Decide!”

Ha ha Bro!
Old Ludwig don’t fear the Beeb.

The oscillations of rhythm and polarity.
From silly to serious.
Dennis is very active with poetry and analysis but takes Saturday off,
After Lumi puts into question Leary’s and nearly everyone else’s assumptions regarding the existence of nuclear weapons and their missile delivery systems, Lumi takes the flak from various commenters, unfazed, most content when he stands alone and doesn’t have to suffer the company of an entire world of deluded fools.
I could play that part, but I don’t have the legal training to parse matters down quite as casually as he does or infinitesimally as he or blue (where is blue? …. there is too much red in this Spectrum Cafe!) can do.
Ioan questions the idea of eastern collusion with western mass deception and it is explained by Lumi as the hereditary principle. Are we slaves to our DNA?? Not if we see the light. Yet, Ioan doubts the Lumi-nesence and swings from analysis (at which he isn’t bad….) to poetry (which is more in his wheelhouse).
Trump’s base gets sick of betrayal and wants to put the dirty dog to sleep.
Vitamin sales declining, Alex Jones throws in the towel, gives up defending Trump and takes the gloves off and puts the steel toed boots on, to join Paul Joseph Watson in kicking the dirty globalist/nationalist (huh???) dog himself:
https://www.infowars.com/alex-jones-and-paul-watson-is-trump-betraying-america/
The main thing is to maintain vitamin sales, at any cost. There I go, dumping on Alex for dumping on Trump after dumping on Alex for his contortions in excusing the guy.
The Question remains: Can the Donald do the Deal of the Century with Xi and Putin (OBOR can include USA says Xi…) or will he choose the wrong Let’s Make a Deal curtain and have to deal with the wrong oriental, in a silly shark costume?

On a more serious note, this from one of my sources:
“Trump, asked if he considered North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to be rational, said he was operating from the assumption that he is rational. He noted that Kim had taken over his country at an early age.
“He’s 27 years old. His father dies, took over a regime. So say what you want but that is not easy, especially at that age.
“I’m not giving him credit or not giving him credit, I’m just saying that’s a very hard thing to do. As to whether or not he’s rational, I have no opinion on it. I hope he’s rational,” he said.
Trump, sipping a Coke delivered by an aide after the president ordered it by pressing a button on his desk, rebuffed an overture from Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen, who told Reuters a direct phone call with Trump could take place again after their first conversation in early December angered Beijing.
China considers neighboring Taiwan to be a renegade province.
“My problem is that I have established a very good personal relationship with President Xi,” said Trump. “I really feel that he is doing everything in his power to help us with a big situation. So I wouldn’t want to be causing difficulty right now for him.
“So I would certainly want to speak to him first.”
IMHO this close relationship between Trump and Xi is the best hopium I can grasp at right now. Whether that gets Trump to Beijing May 14 and 15 or not I cannot say yet, nor can any source that I know of yet say.
What I am certain of is that PM May of UK and the Empire behind her would launch a preemptive strike to prevent it. Didn’t she say that? Well that’s how I interpret Fallon’s remark.
Some one starts to act sane, their “Special Relationship” (where nothing but evil is in the deal)
partner goes insane. Or, per Lumi, Empire with the Hidden Hand bluffs the rest of the world.

Polarity and Rythm.
Humanity;s scism.
Excuse the fatigue mods, I ran out of gas. Humanity’s ScHism.
Two typos in as many words. Pathetic.
Good morning. The dawn is now fading as a rosy eastern horizon proclaims the beauty and goodness of daylife. This old cafe is retiring, having stirred up questions aplenty. I bid her a fond adieu.
Thanks everyone for the memories and education. Thanks to Bro for summing it up so well with the help of Pope’s “instinct and reason.” I look forward to what the new brew will bring in for May Day Eve.
I just ran out of gas, my propane stove that is. I had just enough gas to heat up one cup of water. Last night I felt I had run out of spirit gas but had a good sleep and need to sum up where I’m at before I again start going “ninety miles an hour down a dead end street.”
Yesterday I listened to Saker’s podcast #14 on a religious smorgasbord. What a Gordian Knot. Sakers go where angels fear to tread: namely, into the arena of religion and politics. As for me, I need love to unravel the conundrum and when necessary–to cut through it.
Saker started right out with love too, which made me feel good. He meant the highest love which I gather he accesses through deep feeling. But I don’t want to go into that arena before I refill my tank with gas.
God sure loves diversity and freedom of speech, judging from the conversation here. I do too but I need a stable center so I don’t get dizzy from all the spinning tales from an anything but lazy-susan smorgasbord. The mind is ever busy until it “rests in thee,” to recall Saint Augustine.
I send love to Trump, a one man show if there ever was one. I don’t think he’s anywhere near showing his hand. Sheik Iman Hosein, in his interview with Saker, said Trump needed to bomb and bombast in order to avoid being impeached. I agree. He needs to be strong before negotiations. All part of the smart of the dealer. As Trump goes, so goes the world, like it or not.
Jesus was the Man two thousand years ago. Who’s the man now? Maybe a reformed God? Maybe all of us men who need to “change our way of thinking.”
Oh, there I go again, one more time again with my personal smorgasbord of ideas. Well, in a free market of ideas, let the good times roll. When I’m in love with you, I can do no wrong. All I know is what I love. And at the moment, all I feel is love for you. Isn’t it sweet when our true hearts meet. and our minds go on retreat. Let me bottle that with a baby formula: emotional intelligence = intelligent emotion.
Parting is such sweet sorrow but with hearting there is no tomorrow. Until we meet again in cafeland, please don’t misunderstand when I say love is where we take our stand.
Love, Dennis
