Without the Saudis, there is no more cannon-fodder wanabes in the Middle-East to sacrifice themselves in behalf of the ZioYanks. Egypt is safely not in fighting mood much less as cannon fodder for the Yanks. Only Israel is left … and the US. Will the neocons hit at Iran directly without being fronted by the Saudis? Don’t think so. The world seems to have wised up to the tactics of the war-mongers. Only move left is India striking at China and Pakistan to expand Hindutva supremacy. Quite plausible, especially if India gets to “sikkimise” Bhutan and Nepal – which it is in the process of doing.
If Xi’s masterly move serves to avoid war in the middle-East, it will save Putin’s bacon and an entire generation or two of Russian youths from being used as cannon-fodder. Putin is now out on a limb in the middle-East like a sitting duck for the Zio-Yanks to target. A few more advanced Stinger Missiles should neutralise those TU bombers. Then it’s would be the meat grinder for Russia.
But now that should just be a pipe dream for the Zio-Yanks since by Xi steadying the out-stretched arms of King Salman and MBS, the Saudis have a far more attractive alternative other than war with Iran as cannon-fodder for the ZioYanks’ interests. And can pull out of the Yemen quagmire without losing ‘face’ internationally!

I’ve read some of this chap’s articles before, always worthwhile.
Bhadrakumar is sometimes worth reading, but it has to be a very slow day before anyone could say he is “always worthwhile”.
Bhadrakumar is a retired Indian diplomat and his main outlet is Asia Times (atimes.com). He seemed to give interesting details and some insight. Eventually, I lost my taste for his essays because I discerned that his writing does not reflect the truth as he sees it, but often is bent to promote Bhadrakumar as his brand name. Bhadrakumar never acknowledged the existence of the Empire, nor did the Empire seem to be in the background of his understanding, back when I read all he wrote. I tired of his tidbits because they did not shed light on the more important issues, but were more like a tray of minor appetizers at a party. But your mileage may vary.
Asia Times is also a main outlet for Pepe Escobar who is always worth reading, though I wish he was a bit less excitable, less headline-chasing. The rest of the Asia Times writers are less interesting and go all the way down to hacks on the CIA payroll. In particular, anything from Jamestown Foundation seems to simply be a CIA product. Of course, it can be very worthwhile to pay attention to the misdirection and hints from the Empire – if you have the time.

Let’s face it, you have hit on an important topic in international relations, as there are major differences in how various cultures regard the matter.
Prima facie, I know losing face is a major eastern concern, and it must be taken into account, diplomatically.
In The Empire, MUCH less so, because there is advance preparation, with a handy spare: “Two faced” minions of Empire shed one face quickly, if useless or too degraded by exposure of lies and fraud. While getting comfortable with Spare Face becoming Main Face, a new spare (with ready excuses) is always prepared. Hence the Boy Scout motto: “Always Prepared!”.

Nonsense. The Russian strategic bombers (Tupolevs) fly out of stinger range. It is the ground support aircraft that would be threatened. They already have been facing stingers for years and have done fine with minimal loses. There are ways to minimalise manpad defenses and Russian and Syrian aircraft have effectively used the tactics.
As for a Russian meat grinder, get serious. The israeloamericans have been trying to provoke the Russians into a meat grinder scenario since the 2nd Chechen war. And where is that meat grinder? :-D Right. The Russians continue to outmanuever the sacred neocons.
The Chinese proposals to saudi arabia are a continuation of their already in place diplomatic and trade relations and not something of a new departure. China depends upon Persian Gulf nations for a lot of their oil, a war between saudis and Iran would seriously reduce the energy exports from that region and negatively affect not just China, but also India, s. korea and japan along with many of the other nations in eastern Asia. None of these nations would want to fall on their sword for israel.
The big if in that Asia Times article is saudi future actions and these remain unknowns. No doubt China would like to see the saudis clean up their war mongering and terrorists providing act, but there is zero hard evidence as of now that the saudis will break with their past behaviour of being israeloamerican gofers. If anything, it looks like they are strengthening israeloamerican ties.
Maybe now just now. But if the fight get really serious, I won’t bet that the ZioYanks will not come up with a stinger missile with enough range to take out those TUs. As for the meat-grinder – they would be the battle-hardened jihadi fighters who are still around – about 30,000. Another clarion call by a new Caliph will swell those numbers. And Erdogan may still be persuaded to do one of his U-turns using economic carrots.
But with the Saudis likely out of the picture, there won’t be a meat grinder for now. But still with Putin sitting tight in Syria, he is too good a target to waste. So expect the ZioYanks to come up with something out of the blue. The middle-east is in violent flux and no one can predict how or when the chips will fall.

The modi people might, but fortunately India isn’t their fiefdom. The Indian power structure is made up by varied interests, most of whom would have more to lose than gain in a serious war with China or Pakistan now. Rivalry and jockeying for a better position is ok, but war between nuclear powers is out. Too unpredictable and potentially catastrophic.
How far modi can bring India towards israeloamerica is a question, but again the Indian establishment has a strong balancing and braking mechanism in their make up of varied interests. Remember, modi is a politician and these come and go. India is an Asian country, her establishment has far more to gain being an independent insider in Eurasia in a multipolar world than as toadies scrambling for whatever crumbs the israeloamericans would leave on the ground for them.

And the double-edged sword that Putin used in annexing Crimea – the referendums – had set a neat precedent for the peaceful break-up of the Russian Federation.

One other thing about the usa supplying terrorists with state of the art weaponry. The Americans have been exposed supplying and protecting daesh. Myanmar has been mostly spared the fate of other indian neighbors is because she has strong support from China. Look at what happened to the three isolated country, Sikkim is annexed, the rest of two are occupied. Chinese need to build good road to the two quickly to help their independence.
J, I think things have changed with Saudi Arabia. The new Prince and soon to be king is committed to his vision 2030 to wean Saudi Arabia off oil and gas. If war, he will not be able to achieve his vision 2030. And China’s help will be critical. But watch out for the reaction to his purge.

I think that Machiavelli must be placed in the context of his time, when the religious grip–which had long been allied to the temporal power of kings/warlords etc (essentially a carve-up of the domain of control of the human masses and their thoughts) was under threat from science, essentially a new way of looking at the world.

First, I have a Bible translated from Greek – that doesn’t mention animals. Second, if that is true as you say that in Hebrew it say “animals” than the Jews would be vegetarians (for long ago). Even prayers would have been made for the animals. I won’t be surprised if this “new revelation” will catch on Dennis. If Greek Bible pre-dates the Hebrew it would amaze the scholars who read the ancient Hebrew Text.

I was in the U.S. 25th Infantry Division as a rifleman in Viet Nam in 66′, wounded in 67′. In the Cu Chi area, Tay Ninh, etc we faced snipers that used the Mosin Nagant rifle that this great Russian woman employed. In proper hands they were quite effective as I witnessed a member of my platoon struck, head shot.
She was in the 25th Russian Infantry Division and I in the U.S. 25th Infantry Division. My Regiment, The 27th Infantry “Wolfhounds” were given their nickname when they were sent to Russia in 1917 to influence the “Revolution”, I believe, in favor of the “Reds”.
After a very serious motorcycle accident in 16′ (someone pulled into my path) I no longer participate in rifle matches. I am an NRA classified Master Rifleman and have run many training clinics, NRA and CMP (Civilian Marksmanship Program) as a certified instructor. I and others noticed that the girls seemed to be easier to train and initially were equal or better than the boys. They had less experience and therefore fewer “bad shooting habits”.
L noticed that. L took the aggregate match any sights at Black Canyon in the 1960’s – using iron sights. Girls shoot better under pressure than L did, but it was close. There were no girls at the Black Canyon match that he recalls. Long time. We did have a very good lady on our team back then. L took ROTC matches and abused the license our CO extended… He was a very good CO, twice wounded in combat WW2 and Korea…L checked. that man lived to 93.

L, can you explain to me more clearly what you mean by “is false, all for show” as I cannot fathom your reasoning there. I didn’t watch the full Steve McQueen film, the German clip was sufficient, no patience or stomach for that, but the old newsreel was interesting—both propagandas in my view, though one considerably more sophisticated and nauseating than the other. I read the novel some years ago and would like to see the film.

I nearly rejected “The Housekeeper” … A Star Media (Russian) production, that turned out to be excellent. Bro 93 raved on about it. Night Train to Lisbon is an intelligent movie. It makes the viewer curious and takes us on a journey. One might see that journey as a lot of gossip, but it is about human emotions, political resistance and revolution, so this gossip becomes a history lesson and the main actor is an historian. Things mesh. The scenes of Lisbon are wonderful, so there is the exotic and erotic being played throughout. The film is modern and high quality. Duckduckgo uses Bing results (owned by Microsoft) and give similar results. Sometimes Startpage is better, sometimes Duckduckgo. I would advice you to run some tests to see it for yourself. Use a search engine with an own index to check for censorship. Never rely on one search engine.

I’m in a thankful mood myself. Here in the States, Thanksgiving Day is two days away. Tonight I’m going to a Hare Krishna meeting which happens twice a month. They’re vegetarians, and will be having a meal with tofu turkey and all the trimmings; all for free.
On Thanksgiving Day, I’ll probably attend the homeless meals at the park and then at a church, like I used to do when I was homeless. Those were the best and worst of times. I slept outside in the woods and used the shelters in the winter. I’m still sleeping outside but now have my own shelter from the storm, where I’m cozy and warm.
The day after Thanksgiving, so called Black Friday here in the US where merchants go into the black due to all the shopping, Francis and I plan to go drive north two and a half hours to visit Apolonia at her place.
I’m really thankful for this vineyard and cafe; and extend my wishes to all of you in the spirit of thanksgiving, from the Saker and volunteers all the way down the line. We have our disagreements, but if we stay with our purpose of stopping war, we’ll be fine.
I’ll keep this short and sweet. The next time we meet, it will likely be to defeat the enemy within and the empire without. I was recently called a “man of love,” in reverse of course, but I’ll receive it as a compliment, and try to live up to that kind of nominalism by proving my mettle with realism.
