Just an observation: I’ve been watching a Russian TV series (“Sophia”) about the lives and times of Grand Prince Ioann III and his wife, Sophia, who was in line to be Empress in Constantinople had not the Ottoman Turks conquered there. There are no gratuitous sex scenes, unlike most (if not all) of the HBO, Netflix, Amazon Prime-produced series. But there is adult drama, and it’s very good. There is also a note in the beginning of each episode that the series is sponsored by the Russian Department of Culture and by the Russian Department of Defense. Two things about that occur to me. Firstly, if it is sponsored, in part, by the Defense budget then the series is partly aimed at increasing the willingness of the populace to endure hardship in defense of their homeland. Secondly, the script seems to have a strong allegorical thread–the encircling Horde and Duke of Lithuania can easily be seen as the USA and former allies of Russia such as Romania, Bulgaria, and especially Ukraine. Dialogue such as that of the Mother Princess to her son (Ioann III), referring the to Duke of Lithuania, who has plotted with the Khan to attack Moscow, “He was a friend of your father’s” suggest this allegory.
My observation: really good art of all kinds has that quality which is most noticeable in historical pieces. The makers are moderns, obviously, with modern preoccupations and those are naturally expressed in the work–it is unavoidable.
I wouldn’t class that as propaganda, myself, more a very human, universal ‘limitation,’ given that none of us has a time machine to go back and see the actual events–except that silver one between the ears, of course.
One of the reasons that really good art resonates with some but not others as we are all looking for different things in it.
Ioans CALENDER
I have taken the liberty to re-publish Ioan’s very nice calender as a smaller file.
One of the downloads published by The Saker is 40+ megabytes in 300 dpi. for printing.
The other is far to low in quality even for screen use.
For those of you who do not want to print it, and still enjoy very good screen quality I made this version compatible for Adobe Acrobat 6 upwards.
It’s only 5 megabytes.

Hi. I caught up with the old articles and comments just in time for the new cafe. I went to a popular chiropractor yesterday for my back pain and constipation. She gave me hope briefly but no real results. Her dietary suggestions seem sound, but her chiropractic borders on wishful thinking.
The expensive treatment table is horrible; no coverings between patients for one thing. It has multiple adjustable segments which bumped my already sore back painfully when engaged or disengaged with me on the table. She used a metal tool to further bump my back. I asked her what it was for, and she said the tool made the body relax. It had the opposite effect on me.
The kicker was when she bumped the illiocecal valve once, and said she had opened it up. She obviously did not, since I am still constipated a day later. I asked her twice about Milk of Magnesia, but she brushed it off. I bought a bottle today. And yet, by outward appearances, she seems the best in these parts.
I was talking to a friend an hour ago in the club. He relayed how people get hurt by chiropractics, and said MOM does work for him. The treatment cost $65 with the senior discount; I paid $7 for the MOM. I had faith going in but now doubt the practice from a reasonable point of view. She has probably the best location in Ojai with an expensive looking office, although small. She works two days a week, and obviously has many people who believe she is helping them.
My experience yesterday is not without relevance to my writing here. I have “faith” in what I am doing, with the difference that I also rely on evidence. My series on theology is a case in point. The fact that it is not understood does not bother me. In a corrupt culture, it argues for its validity–and I have just started the project, which may assume more relevance as it proceeds.
The other case is cryptos. Bro takes me to task for being hopelessly backward and stuck in my ways. I just don’t have faith in crypts, and I don’t have the energy or interest to study it, as does Bro. My gut tells me it’s fake; and I honor that feeling. Furthermore, in the light of my values, based on reason and faith, it seems based on greed and insecurity. And even worse, I see it as another tool of the deep state to enslave us.
Bro comes from an opposite point of view. He “half-believes” in its potential for immense good. It is all for the good to have these opposing debates in an open and free forum like this cafe vineyard. Although my time is probably too short to see a definitive conclusion, time will arbitrate the issue. “Time will tell who has won and who has fell, and who has been left behind, when you go your way and I go mine.”
If the general culture is corrupt, as seems the case by the opinions here, how healthy can it be to adjust to it, as necessary for survival as that may be? And when potentially culture changing events happen like crypt money, what are the odds that they will reject the corrupted culture? It’s possible, but it would be a sort of miracle, which falls into the realm of faith.
So, Bro and I may appear to be opposites, but when you go a little deeper, we connect; at the very least we are on talking terms. I really do like Bro, and I even like his faith in crypt, and his extensive reasoning upon the subject. We both need to watch closely on how this plays out on the world stage.
Well, here I am in this cafe lounge club, talking to invisible people with mostly fake names, feeling the love and kindness flowing through the digital airwaves. Now, if that doesn’t take faith, what does? Someday, say in five years, there’ll be a conference here in the US, preferably near where I live, for vineyarder sakers, where we meet in the flesh; and are duly introduced as we really are. It might be quite revealing and/or shocking.
OK, it’s noon; one more cup of hot water, and then I go to the valley below, after sitting in the hot sauna, and taking a shower. one minion had wise words about pain; I’m going to set up my environment to ease it and facilitate healing, with another overhead manual lift rope over my bed. mundanomaniac said something two days ago, like Mars entered Sagittarius; just the boost this Sag needs from a Mars of a man. I appreciate all of you and your priceless work; in theological terms, love comes primarily through persons, the truth of which is revealed to me with increasing insistency.
Love, Dennis
Hi Dennis: you have to find the “right” chiropractor for you…ask this lady to show you the maneuver in which you can open or close your own illeosecal valve …it is rather easy. ( I was shown how to do it by a chiropractor). It is a gift of grace to find the right healers, truly. Hope you feel better—I think a bit of PTSD from fleeing the fire experience.?
think of the metaphors involved in your situation. ask your dream-mind for help. Good luck.
Yes, agreed. You can also try dosing yourself daily with psyllium husk, cheap as chips on ebay and available also on prescription under a fancy name. 100% natural plant fibre, it encourages natural peristalsis and has been used for centuries with no ill effects. Capsules go down easier than the gloop. Read the instructions though and don’t overdo it.
Dennis,
My Fr. Al who I related to you from my Nam days and his death, was a “back cracker”. He was our “chiropractor” before we knew they existed. I was a dairy farm kid, steel mill laborer, Nam Infantry, Purdue Rugby, hands on builder, Master Rifleman, gardener etc etc. The coup de gras for my back was Father’s Day 2016, 4 days after my 69th b’day when a car pulled out in front of me on my motorcycle a block from my home. Right tibia and fibia shattered, 3 pelvic fractures and right hip socket. Fractured left radius and ulna. Double fracture left scapula. Both hands multiple finger fractures and nuckle capsule damage. Ribs loosed at breastbone. Helmet saved my head and dented the car roof.
Back in the 80’s I began using a chiropractor which gave immediate but not lasting relief when I “pulled something”. I started using “inversion boots” which helped but it was upside down or nothing. After a ruptured disc in 07′ I got an “inversion table” that I could control the degree of angle. It was the best option I had adopted and it became part of my routine. Then came the cycle crash. Learning to just WALK became a priority. I’m on my feet and doing normal things but the lack of routine stretching recently cost me an ambulance ride with mind bending spasms in rear pelvic area. I’ve been put on and am implementing simple but effective stretching exercises and muscle relaxers. I don’t like the drugs, but………. The hardest part for me is just backing off from activities that exacerbate the damage. That sounds like you. In a post to you a couple of weeks ago I said “It’s never to late to go home”. It’s easier said than done as I’m already “home”. You cannot relax if you are not secure. You have to decide what is “home” even if it is simply a state of mind.
Psyllium seed husk capsules can be had at Walmart or Sam’s cheaply. I cured reflux with Aloe juice in gallon jugs for $7 ea. Cure it, don’t mask it.
If the Cafe is your home then know you are loved. It’s that simple.

Hello Dennis
I’ve been going to a chiropractor since June, he uses the activator method which is gentle because it’s just a handheld tool with plungers that work of springs, so it’s safer on the neck and for old people.
My left pelvic bone went forward so it has a forward/anterior pelvic tilt.
https://posturedirect.com/fix-anterior-pelvic-tilt/
And my right pelvic bone went backwards so it has a posterior pelvic tilt.
https://posturedirect.com/how-to-fix-a-posterior-pelvic-tilt/
So the end result is that my spine is a bit twisted, the left and right sacroiliac joints and the S!-L5 disk are compromised.
I quit sitting in September because I know it bad for the disks (wrecks their integrity so it predisposes them to bulges) and it creates front/back and left right muscle imbalances. I sit less than 15 minutes per day(not counting sitting in the car. I spend a lot of time lying on a camping self-inflating sleeping pad It’s kind of hard to type lying on my back, thats why my posts at the Saker are always so short.
I’m now able to do 35 pound kettlebell swings and 40 pound deadlifts without any disk problems.
My personal opinion is that you need to do exercises and stretches in addition to going to a chiropractor.
There’s a big diamond shaped fascia (connective tissue like tough gristle in a steak) in the back that runs from the ass crack to the spine underneath the shoulder blades and to the left and the right. There are diagonal fibres in it that connect the fibres in the left shoulder muscle to the fibres in the right butt(glut max) muscule. And vice versa with the right shoulder and right butt. It’s called the thoracolumbar fascia.
If you’ve got back pain and muscle cramping than I’d bet the fascia needs to be stretched because it’s a contributing factor to whatever left/right and front/back muscle imbalances that’s causing biomechanical problems and their associated pain.
It needs to be stretched both ways:
ie extension stretches – arching backwards eg lying on the floor on your tummy or propping yourself up on your elbows. These are easy for me now to do 3 minutes each. These extension stretches are meant to rebuild low back curve. I have an obusforme lumbar roll that I use sitting in the car or sleeping on my back to also help rebuild the low back curve. I can do pressups now. Like a pushup but my knees are on the floor and I arch my back as much as possible. All these types of extension stretches are great if you have sciatica because they help cram disk bulges back in away from where they press on nerves and cause back pain.
The other type of necessary stretch is flexion stretching ie bending forward. A good gentle stretch id to lie on your back and pull your knees to your chest and hold that for 3 minutes. A stronger stretch is to sit on a chair and bend forward and put your hands underneath and as far towards the back of the chair as possible.
Key points are to do flexion stretches first than followed by extension stretches to keep the lumbar curve intact because the spine is supposed to be a double s suspension. The second key point is to breathe as deeply as possible to relax and stretch the muscles as much as possible. I usually count breaths until I feel That the muscles have relaxed enough.
I have a heart murmur caused by a bicuspid heart valve and one of the things I take is cayenne pepper every day.because it functions as a vasodilator. It also stimulates peristalsis.
https://www.livestrong.com/article/542804-spices-that-stimulate-peristalsis/
Love Rob
PS Dennis
It’s kinda hard to type lying on my back on a laptop table, kinda like a breakfast in bed table.
Any type of sitting where your knees are higher than your hips will stretch your back and the thoracolumbar fascia.
For example, I have a footstool that’s only 6.5 inches high that I sometimes put in front of a heater and sit on that to stretch and heat up my back.
Rob,
That all sounds good to me and not too dissimilar to the Alexander Technique which is basically about realigning long-standing postural habits.
one minion, sitting inactivates the glutes and the abdominals, ie your core muscles. If they’re weak your guaranteed to have poor posture.
“However, with the Alexander teacher’s help, we can learn to recognise where, when and why we repeat that pattern. Although many of our habit patterns are similar to those of other people, we each have our own unique version to learn about. As Alexander put it we ‘translate everything, whether physical or mental or spiritual, into muscular tension’ Aphorisms”
My back muscles used to be tighter than a nuns legs on Sunday.
Rob, Lovely pictures on this. Relaxing too.

As you know, there are watchers and watched people as some sort of peep-show for those insatiable curious types requested by those on the higher part of the Pyramid, executed by others on others from the rest of the same Pyramid, the modern technology and internet permit such peeping, leading the world slowly but surely to paranoia by inducting fear in those who are weak in spirit, making them obedient and grey. Weapon of mass distraction and mind destruction, but in the same time a weapon for us to tell the truth. Here is the same rule of duality in action, in the same way as the money, as the day and night.
Here’s a poem :
They Are Watching You
by ioan
Then, all begun with your birth
Waiting the stage in time and space
As tiny soul on this planet Earth
A rolling life, in disfavor or grace
Whatever you may do,
They are watching you
If you are good, hating the bad,
If you are trying to find the light,
If you are cheering or you are sad
If you are ill or you’re alright,
Whatever you may do,
They are watching you
If you are young and love to play
You have friends and trust them,
Talking with them, having your say
Innocent or not, in shadow or fame,
Whatever you may do,
They are watching you
You have a family, wife and kids
Working all day, taking care of them,
Willing to avoid the lies and myths
Wiling to have your family as team,
Whatever you may do,
They are watching you
If you are old and love to talk
If you’re at home or in a nursing house,
If you’re in chair or you can walk
Or even play and dress like Santa Claus
Whatever you may do,
They are watching you
If you’re going to the church or not,
Following your faith or the rule of law,
And falling in knee for the King or God
In the heat of desert or in chilling snow,
They are watching you,
Whatever you may do
But be sure, the watchers
Are watched too
And so, an entire pyramid
Has become,.. paranoid.
Really good one, ioan.
Late Self Reflection
Imperceptively, by degrees they realized,
While they watched and preyed on souls
A mirror in dimmest shadows materialized
And there were scared…by reflected ghouls!
“I am NOT paranoid! I KNOW a ghoul is out to get ……….oooops! IS me!”
mod-to: LOL !
very apt poem, Ioan…and well executed.
They cannot watch-there is one place
there inner dwells a holy space
that they fear beyond all measure
because within lies untold treasure.
It lives and breathes and cannot die
thus to them it proves their lie
is just that–they are not the ALL
and they will one day face their Fall.
Somthing new to me, although I loved their one hit ‘Brimful of Asha.’ Still going, I think.

Czech Biathlon Team to Boycott World Cup Final in Russia’s Tyumen – Union Head
https://sputniknews.com/sport/201802241061958121-czech-biathlon-team-russia-boycott/
“The Czech Republic’s biathlon team will not attend the World Cup final in Russia’s Tyumen city, scheduled for March 22-25, Jiri Hamza, the head of the Czech Biathlon Union, said Saturday.
Jiri Hamza’s statement comes after the US Biathlon Association said it planned to boycott the event in light of Russia’s alleged doping violations.”
My mind is blowing when I see another Russian athlete being excluded from Olympics because of the same allegation of doping. This time Nadezhda Sergeeva – Nadezhda, I think means hope, is that just a coincidence or something else ?
Russian bobsledder Sergeeva disqualified for doping, results at Olympics annulled – CAS
https://www.rt.com/sport/419714-cas-sergeeva-olympics-disqualified/
“The banned substance is trimetazidine, according to the CAS, which also said the athlete “admitted the anti-doping rule violation.”
She was tested clean 13 Feb., then failed on a 18 Feb. test. Perhaps she thought she wouldn’t get tested a 2nd time? Very different situation from that of Krushelnitsky, who was framed. And most likely framed by the country feilding this lot:
US Beats Sweden to Claim Olympic Curling Title
https://sputniknews.com/olympics-2018/201802241061951580-usa-olympic-curling/
@vot tak, re: Russian bobsledder Sergeeva
There is something very fishy about the Anti Doping Rule Violations (ADRVs) pinned on the Russian curler and Russian bobsledder during the final week of the Peyongchang Winter Olympics.
It makes no logical sense that an athlete would do a one-time consumption of a chemical that is of no value in circumstances where it is almost certain to be detected with huge negative consequences.
That is precisely the situation. The Russian Mixed Curling bronze medal winner, Alexander Krushelnitsky, had to give up his medal, plus that of his partner wife, because traces of meldonium were found in his urine sample. He had previously tested clean.
International curlers were astounded at the news and bemused at the idea of performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) for curling. The skip of the Danish curling team said: I think most people will laugh and ask, ‘what could you possibly need doping for?
Krushelnitsky strongly denies taking banned drugs: I am categorically opposed to doping …. never, at any time that I have been involved in sport, have I ever used prohibited substances.
Similar curious circumstances apply in the second ADRV. Russian bobsledder Nadezhda Sergeeva had numerous negative (clean) tests before she was tested positive for banned trimetazidine. Bobsledding is another sport which requires physical and mental skill but not physical endurance.
In the February 25 IOC meeting ( https://twitter.com/iocmedia/status/967551771907317760 ) to close the Peyongchang Winter Games, the head of the IOC Implementation Group, Nicole Hoevertz, said the Russian athletes had been tested “more than any other athletes”. She and her group were convinced that the 168 member Russian athletic team was clean. At about 35:00 in the video, she says the two Russian doping violations were “very peculiar.”
Hoevertz introduced the Director of the IOC Medical and Scientific Commission, Dr. Bludgett, to provide more detail. He suggested that meldonium would not be of benefit in curling. He then went further and suggested the ADRV regarding trimetazidine may be in error. He said trimetazidine “……is a substance where there is a parent compound which is a common headache migraine treatment available particularly in China and Japan and if that is found then it is not considered an ADRV. And if there is a very low level, as there was in this case, that is a possibility. “
Sergeeva denies ever taking banned drugs and even went on social media with a T-shirt declaring her commitment to clean sport.
Unfortunately, western media will not investigate this possibility. Western media cannot even accurately report on events like the IOC meeting yesterday.
The fact that the head of the IOC Implementation Group warmly praised the Russian participation at the Peyongchang Olympics is not mentioned in western media.
The fact that Dr. Bludgett raised questions about the accuracy of the ADRVs against Russia is not mentioned in reports from NY Times, the UK Guardian or Inside the Games.
Instead, the writer at Inside the Games once again exaggerated the voice of critics of Russia as he downplayed the voices of international athletes who want to put the doping scandal behind and move forward.
Western media have reported deceptively that the Russian athletes have “admitted” to the violations. In fact, both Russian athletes strongly deny taking banned drugs.
Western media bias is also shown in the focus on alleged Russian doping and minimization or ignoring of other possible violations.
For example the story about the Norwegian cross-country ski team and their use of banned asthmatic medications. They get around the restrictions by having their doctor claim that most of their athletes are asthmatic.
http://theduran.com/sabotaging-russia-olympics/
Now, is it ironic or is it an example of a refined level of larceny that the American curling team now has the Gold?
Yep, most likely blithely taking their asthma medicines etc. with special exceptions etc.etc. interesting the medal mix up

Just visited the last Cafe and saw bp has visited too : /moveable-feast-cafe-2018-02-20/#comment-490631
Well, bp, my last visit to Constanta was in 1986, a memorable visit when I was almost near death. In the near is (was at that time) a famous beach Costinesti by name, with a part of the beach being reserved for nudists. Many DDR tourists were there that time, with their Trabby’s (Trabant) and Wartburg cars. They were great lovers or nudism. There I picked up a young lady and spent with her a week of love adventure. One day, she told me ” let’s swim to that boat ” ( an old boat which was lying there not far from the coast abandoned by years. many young people did that, jumping then from the board in the sea) From the start I had a bad feeling but because of my new girlfriend, I started to swim also. the boat was residing at about a half mile away in the large. when I was somewhere at the half distance of it, I felt stubborn cramps in my right leg, I couldn’t swim, I thought, that’s it… with huge and painful efforts managed to swim like a dog until I felt the the sand under my feet. I thought I shall never make it. I was so happy to be on that beach, as a newborn baby. Then I realized that the sea is not for me, better walk the mountains where I’m more home. The very next day, packed my bags and went in the mountains at Predeal and Sinaia, then climbed the Bucegi mountain, alone. The girl was not allowed by her parents, I understood them. That was really liberty, an entire week alone, walking some 60 miles, sleeping in the nature, without any fear.
I’ve got a gut check for Dennis and all crypto-phobes today.

Thanks for the suggestions regarding my back. I will definitely follow up. Steve, thanks for sharing your experience; I can’t even imagine myself surviving such an ordeal. My son ran into a car head-on on his motorcycle; hit the windshield with his arm and flipped over the car onto the pavement. His heavy helmet saved him. He was eighteen; never went back to a motorcycle. Severed the nerves and tendons in his dominant arm but they stitched them together and he eventually recovered. I took him to college classes shortly after; he is left handed but learned to write with the right, and now is ambidextrous. He became a deep-sea diver for a couple of years and is now back in school to become an engineer specializing in robotics. I am so proud of him, and yet he’s so different, perhaps from never being separated from his mother for the first three or four years, and breast feeding until he chose to quit: he’s totally into science while I’m more into the science of faith and belief. His mother is some kind of earth mother, now living in a trailer on two and a half acres up on the Carrizo Plain, near an Indian reserve. We are all so different and yet so much the same.
Yesterday I got home and after putting things away, finished the project of fixing another over the bed wire lift, which facilitated my lying on either side; on the back is most comfortable but it’s a killer getting up from back spasms. Lest you think I am a hypochondriac, I have a further purpose other than relating my troubles.
The project went amazingly smoothly in all the tiniest details. I credit love because I applied love to the project beforehand. The Vineyard Project of stopping the war on Russia is many orders of magnitude larger, but the same principle applies. I apply love to the Vineyard Project, like I did with the Lift Project. I anticipate that it also will be successfully completed, smoothly in all the messy details.
Jesus said that if you are faithful in small things, you also will be in large things. Much hangs upon that word “faithful.” So I will plug along, living my life as well as I can, while asking for love, and exercising it as I think it deserves. Love is an apt word for what I am doing; and there are two others that make a trinity of significant connections.
To put it in a nutshell, love is the impersonal; lover is the personal and lovers is the inter-personal. Naturally, there is overlap between them. Love is more abstract and mental; lover refers to an individual person as lover anywhere in time-space and lovers means the community of lovers: extending from small groups of 50-150 to, well, the whole universe, which is the Lover’s personal body.
The Vineyard Project is a work in progress. You have your own view of the matter and your unique contribution to make. Sometimes I find mine very meaningful and even enjoyable; at other times the empire strikes back upon me personally, as with my current complaints. I need to take this work in hand myself and not shuffle it off to others.
Looks like the empire is ratcheting up the war talk, all the way from The Donald to the robotic talking heads on the news. I am heavily influenced by Miles Mathis, who thinks our whole culture is a fake. The more I read him, I think he is for real, with a penetrating intelligence and solid moral character. He gives convincing evidence that these terror events and shootings are all staged events, with paid actors, mostly Jews with a few crypto Jews thrown in for misdirection, where few, if any, are killed.
It’s so patent that the Jews are running this fake show; his evidence is overwhelming. Why? is a most fascinating question, which I’ve been exploring in the larger framework of higher levels of influence, where I delve into theology and metaphysics. This vineyard is on the cutting edge of such exploration. I have my own investigative tools, such as the Love Army, which may be foreign territory to you; no matter: truth is truth in whatever clothes it wears.
I may be wrong but I think Eric Zeuss is a spook, adding fuel to the fire of war talk. Years ago I read his “Christ’s Ventriloquist.” That’s an area I know something about and what he was saying indicated to me that he simply did not know what he was talking about; or if he did, and was pushing an agenda very similar to a deep state one, either unconsciously for consciously for less than honorable reasons.
In other words, folks like Trump are acting from a prepared script to keep us mired in fear, and obedient serfs somewhere lower down on the pyramid of power. This whole world of fallen man is one big lie told over and over, a fake meta-story that turns our brains to mush and our hearts to stone–if we allow it.
There is an alternative and always has been because love necessitates freedom; and freedom entails responsibility; and responsibility entails…, well, you get the idea. For me, I like music, poetry, literature, romance, happy feelings, comradery and all the goodies and joys of life–but all that can deviously be turned against us. The proof of that is war and all its “winters of discontent.” Why is war still going on, and probably getting worse? Well, that’s why the vineyard appeared from out of nowhere, through the agency of a saker–to do something about it.
My deep pleasure is in the music of ideas, the romance of ideas, the story, game, structure, journey, game and relationship of ideas. My deepest pleasure is where ideas open up the door to Love, where philosophy turns into theology, and where God falls in love with Love Herself. For you, it may be a screed but for me it is a creed; for others it is a rant but for me it is a chant.
I think I’ve turned some kind of a corner. I have faith that my back is going to eventually heal itself. The MOM worked somewhat; I’ll use it two more nights, and if I’m still blocked, may go the hospital for help. Help does come if we ask for it. That’s my experience.
Love, Dennis

Actually, I am the innocent dreamy child whose shorts and skivvies were yanked down around my ankles by a nasty 10 year old boy whose parents had probably mistreated him and induced self-loathing in the mean little wretch.
After crying all the way home with little shorts and skivvies restricting my tiny tortured steps, I was asked by mother and oldest sister, “Why didn’t you pull your pants up?”
I looked down at my tangled up feet, and instantly realized two things:
1) Sometimes others have better ideas than my own.
2) “Man, you can be downright ridiculous!”
How’s that “The Man”? Besides, I’m trying to promote Dan as “The Man”.
Remember?? EOS, Steemit, Bitshares (no broker fees, Trader Joes and Jeannes. Peer to peer, open ledger, decentralized all the way…….and all that crypto-manna??

Jonathan Shay wrote a good book, ‘Achilles in Vietnam’ which looks at the historical aspects.
Of course after that carnage (WW1) much work went into scientifically changing the training of soldiers, to make them more efficient killers, or to at least make more of an effort to kill as plenty of conscripts had naturally refused to do that.
Lt Colonel David Grossman (US) wrote a couple of good books on that aspect and the resulting casualties.

Anyway, Russia approve it, we’ll see what will happen on the ground and the screaming on MSM which will probably increase.
From the faking of Jesus to the hoaxing of Hitler. Greg from The Higherside Chats gives Joe Atwill the floor, and Joe runs with it. If you feel exhausted a short 10 minutes in, it is because Joe Atwill piles so many names, facts, connections in each sentence, that there is no easy way to shrug off his monumental tale as the random ravings of a lunatic.
Should you have come to the conclusion that fake news today probably implies fake news yesterday, and fake news a hundred years ago, and therefore fake history, then this might be something for you. Quite the tour de force.
https://www.thehighersidechats.com/joe-atwill-caesars-messiah/
The MSM media is playing the same card. Every week, there is a “real history” of Jesus Christ on History Channel, ZDF, arte, Discovery Channel, and many many others, all trying to discredit the Man. Why this hatred, why so much effort and money is being invested ? Well, it’s a long story dating back for 2000 years, time is not essential though, nothing had changed since, only the technology which today helps to achive much greater landmass in accepting that Jesus Christ was a fake. Once Christ is eradicated (which will not be the case) the global goal is achieved, the war against the human spirit is won – that’s what they belive in. And that’s why the wars on many fronts in many dimensions. The problem with many people is that once they managed to clean up their inner room from a lie, many lies will take over in that clean room, a perpetual inner war. The cure is faith. The Evil does exist, taking so many forms just to please a human being, waiting for the weakness of spirit to achieve it’s goals. This is the main war. Understanding Jesus means understanding the real causes of war.
“Once Christ is eradicated (which will not be the case)”
Similar was probably said about the Greek Mythos once and belief in that has not been totally eradicated either, yet.
Yes but greek gods purpose was also the illustration of their whimsical, erratic and foible-ful human natures. Who would want to eradicate those?
Well Christ is, allegedly, a full time member of an omniscient triune deity. For such to cry in a garden or be tempted seems no less whimsical, erratic and foible-ful than Myhthos.
If all these stories are recognised as entertainment, rather than fake news, they could, just, be viewed as harmless.
“The ancient Greeks, regardless of the nuances of the religious shifts, believed it was a necessity to live in such a way as to appease the gods and thus diligently sought to offer frequent sacrifices, prayers and hymns, living in constant awareness of the imminent anger of the gods.
Because the after life scenario was so contingent upon their earthly behavior, the ancient Greeks took special care to stay on good terms with the gods on a daily basis. The sacrifices and such were considered by the gods to be a sufficient means of restitution and so it was with both great care and serious intention that the ancient Greeks followed through with those actions.”
Well, the idea is to “understand the real causes of war” or that was how I understood it, and the sentence is at the end of a longish paragraph, and in relation to the whole. No piffling matter anyway.
Have you a link for your quotation, ancientgreek ? Sounds interesting to me, worth a wider read.
“Have you a link”

Worth some consideration I suppose if one was considering conversion to ‘ancient greek paganism’ but hardly an unbiased source, I think. The author doesn’t even append a nom de plume let alone have the confidence to put his own name to his work.
Wikipedia is more reliable than that, at least it is crowd sourced.
“Worth some consideration I suppose if one was considering conversion to ‘ancient greek paganism”
Why would anyone consider doing that any more than believing the current fairy stories?
You tell me, its certainly got me beat.

China To Change Constitution, Allowing Xi To Stay In Power Forever
In an announcement that was already expected by the general public and largely a forgone conclusion, China’s Communist Party has officially cleared the way for President Xi Jinping to rule as emperor for life by announcing on Sunday that it intends to abolish a two-term constitutional limit on the presidency.

Life is full of pleasant surprises. A friend in England forwarded me a clip from Australia enquiring whether anyone had ever heard of a gigantic Russian sculpture in New York. I certainly had not heard of such a thing but it turned out to be a masterpiece of memorial art in bronze, and the first monument seafarers can observe when they sail into New York harbour — even before they see the Statue of Liberty. Another pleasant surprise,, the Englishman who reported his discovery of this unknown masterpiece to The Daily Mail turned out to be a Fellow of the Linnean Society — the same society which reported the discovery of Evolution of the Species by Wallace in Australia 150 years ago. So the spirit of adventurous enquiry and reporting strange things from distant lands is still alive in England.

Dr M,
Your story reminds me of when I was in LA and wanted to see the Watts Towers. No-one would go with me so I took a train and walked in the direction where I could see them poking up above the roofs. They were deserted when I got there so I had a good long look in my own time, bought a book at the kiosk and went back to Ventura Boulevard where I was staying. A jewel of Outsider Art with a compelling story to it, but few are that interested. The Pacific highway coast (where Dennis lives I think) is spectacular also.
I’ve come across news of the Teardrop before but never seen it. Your link fleshes out the story of its position better. It must also be a stunning sight in real life.
Thanks.
@one minion. Yes, there are many unsung glories in the USA. The memorial is very powerful, has a paved walkway, and is located southeast of Manhattan at the New Jersey shore. Here are two more pictures and a map. Would make a must-see excursion from Manhattan by water taxi.
The first photo shows the power of Zurab Tsereteli’s concept, by bringing out the scarification of the jagged clefts in the orange-yellow bronze against curdled white cloudlets against pale blue sky. The smooth blueish roundness of the nickel teardrop takes up this note of contrast — gentle sorrow against jagged catastrophe. The blue note of the nickel shows better in John Craven’s photo (link in my post above).
The paving stone walkway adds a nice human touch. A broad way paved with so many individual tragedies.
“The Desolations are the Sorrows kin
But Sorrow is gentle and sings her child to sleep”.

Dr M,
I am afraid that I avoid signing in to the vast networks such as google so am not able to access your links and must find picture elsewhere.
Thanks anyway for the response.
Good morning. I see I’ve been too subtle; and need to speak more directly.
When I said that Bro was the Man, I said that with nuance, which Bro apparently took quite literally. “The Man” has all kinds of interpretations. It does not mean that I demean his early traumatic childhood experiences; in fact, I deeply appreciate such self-disclosure.
Who is Dan? or Dan the Man? Bro is promoting him as the Man; or is this not serious?
Bro says: “loan is no also-ran,”quoting me. I said “ioan,” not “loan.” That’s a mere quibble, but the context of the sentence completely misconstrues me. In the second sentence Bro says ioan is a great poet and calendar designer. That’s what I meant, but the way Bro put it, readers will get the impression that I meant ioan is an also-ran, which is not the case.
As with the spelling of the name, Bro is not careful to monitor the nuances of what he is saying (as I am also). We all make mistakes; that’s not what I’m talking about. He continually misrepresents parts of what I say. I let it pass but sometimes it gets too much. This is not an ad hominem; I am examining what is being said to establish more clear communication.
I watched Bro’s link to Bix, and much appreciated it. Bix put cryptos into a context I could understand. Again, Bro misunderstands me, perhaps because I was not clear. Crypts do seem inevitable, and in Bix’s framework of “Good guys and Bad guys” is a good development.
I am not against crypts. My point is that I am not “into” them; I have other values; crypts violate my values, particularly by embracing usury. When we switch from fiat money to “bits,” it is not going to change anything for me. I am on social security and civil service pensions; I will receive Bits in the future, and receive credit for my pensions. I am already living simply and cheaply; even a cut of half will not bother me.
My main value is love, which I’ve specified here as ten commandments. With my back pain and constipation getting worse, that value is being severely challenged. Last night, I was skating on the edge of despair, self-doubt, doubt about love itself, judgments against myself of hypocrisy, spouting pious platitudes; and feeling self-hatred for myself besides.
Hospitals are a last resort; if things don’t improve, I’ll have to resort to that. I have no insurance that pays doctor’s bills or tests, so that’s a consideration. I’m thinking of notifying my relatives just in case.
teranam is probably correct that this is also metaphorical, and suggested I look to my dream-mind. Last night I dreamed of ioan riding in a car, appearing very free. He came up above in my comment.
Strangely, there was a bright spot. Last night I read Miles Mathis’s “A Simple Experiment Proves Pi Equals 4.” Months ago I read a longer paper on this with math equations. I could not understand it but my intuition said he was correct; I liked the simplicity and elegance of his interpretation. I did understand his simpler and shorter explanation, and it did feel good.
[I just visited the club bathroom, and had a pretty fair bowel movement. Needless to say, my mood has improved dramatically.]
I was about to say that if my intuition was correct on Pi = 4, it might also be correct on love. What just happened in my body is uncanny in its timing, if not magical or miraculous. I am sharing my experience, which may be inappropriate here, and disturbing to some; and yet, did the very “letting go” of sharing play a part in the positive Change? I can’t prove it or disprove it.
Nevertheless, I’m feeling that love is after all helping, despite my denials of the night. During it, I was asking for the help of love; and I do that all the time. It teaches me that I am so very weak and frail, just living on the edge of mortality. It also reminds me of the value of this vineyard, not just for information but for an energy that comes with community.
Thanks for allowing me to share myself in ways that are no doubt disturbing. I want to relate my experiencing to the larger causes of war and politics, since that is the overt purpose of this vineyard. I listened to Trump’s CPAC talk, and intended to talk about that–until my personal troubles intervened. I hope to get to that later, as well as to the comments that I just skimmed earlier.
For now, I want to relax by going to the hot sauna to warm up, and then eat my lunch with less misgivings. I have a long way to go to recover my former health level. At least now I’m feeling more hope, that last-resort gift of Pandora. I have escaped Dante’s “Give Up All Hope” gateway to hell. Beatrice takes my hand, and with her other one points to Paradiso ahead.
Love, Dennis

It’s the consequence of 2000 and more years of refined family- relations
all over the planet, as brilliant minority, displacing the christian majorities’
median classes and serving the, compared to them, brute national elites.
Its a given of a worldwide tribe, for whom the non-menbers traditionally

But the Jew create the Jewish anti- Jew by necessity – a conundrum for

So the future is to be seen in the tactful recognition of minority- different cultures

I will not post the link to spare the mods but, for those with strong stomach, a very lengthy article on OrientalReview.org details the putrid pile of gavno that is the IOC and their machinations to completely trash the olympics, which have now become the sand pit of the zionists.
Triumphant Russian hockey team defies ban, sings national anthem after Olympic win (VIDEO)
https://www.rt.com/sport/419792-russia-hockey-olympic-national-anthem/
“The Russian hockey squad, which won Olympic gold in a tight, nerve-racking overtime game against Germany, defied the IOC ban at the awards ceremony and sang the words of the national anthem over the Olympic Hymn.
The Olympic hockey final turned out to be a real thriller, with the Russians winning on an overtime goal by Kirill Kaprizov – now hailed as a national hero. The Russian hockey players, who competed in South Korea under a neutral flag, beat Germany 4-3.
The Olympic flag, with its five interlocked rings, was raised in honor of the Olympic Athletes from Russia (OAR) team as the players were awarded their gold medals. But the whole squad along with fans in attendance sang the Russian national anthem, drowning out the Olympic Hymn, despite the IOC banning the country’s athletes from any public activities associated with the national flag, anthem, and other symbols at the Olympics in PyeongChang.
Russian social media users, who reposted the video of the hockey squad singing the national anthem in PyeongChang, reported that their posts were blocked by Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. According to the websites, the blocked footage included content from the International Olympic Committee that was blocked on copyright grounds.
The Russian hockey team had probably anticipated this, as it once again sang the national anthem on the bus to the airport.”
Blocked by israelonazi-Jew mafia facebook, instagram and youtube, gee, what a surprise, eh.
Yes, here in Canada, it was difficult to discover in the MSM who won the gold medal in mens hockey!

“Have you tried to find Russia’s final gold-medal goal in the OAR vs Germany Ice Hockey game at the Olympics? Or the anthem at the end? Chances are you won’t find it on YouTube. Russian media is reporting a YouTube-wide block on the videos – so no doubt this video too will be demonetised or entirely removed. The issue is that the Russian team and fans sung the words to the Russian anthem – louder than the neutral Olympic anthem played – which has been banned by the International Olympic Committee. This video features some commentary by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, and Vladimir Putin, on the injustice. Meanwhile – congratulations to the OAR team on today’s game aka the Red Machine!”
There is a massive crack down on alternative channels lately. Youtube is deleting whole channels with all the videos. Popular channels. It is not just usual tricks any more like demonetization, deleting users, smaller view count, hit with a strike etc. It is really massive. People are censored also from Medium, Facebook and Twitter.
For zionazi-gay media to work its psywar “magic”, the marks need to be prevented from using alternatives.
This is good, I found it funny in an absurd fashion butthen it its completely factual too:

Moscow concerned about new US sanctions on N. Korea amid prospects of dialogue
https://www.rt.com/newsline/419831-us-korea-sanctions-ryabkov/
“Moscow is concerned about new US sanctions on North Korea amid emerging prospects of dialogue between Pyongyang and Seoul, according to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov. He said on Monday that the US made a new move towards increasing pressure on North Korea, TASS reports. “The declared American sanctions contain a whole number of alarming and troubling aspects,” the diplomat warned, saying that this concerns US unilateral measures on checking so-called suspicious cargoes. “This runs counter to the understanding that was earlier reached in collective formats, including within the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI),” Ryabkov said. The possibilities of further extending sanctions through the UN Security Council have been nearly exhausted, Ryabkov said. “We cannot repeat the situation… when after the countries agree on something in the UNSC and make corresponding decisions, the US bolsters unilateral section pressure immediately after that or after some period of time,” he added.”
All the recent moves by israeloamerica against DPRK have been designed to prevent a DPRK-ROK reproachment and produce increased tensions. The israelis quisling trump regime is working overtime to make sure conflict will occur on the Korean peninsula.
We could cut them cold by Russia and China handing them officially and with a nice ceremony 50 x 1 megatonne warheads and 10 ICBMs (25’000 km Range) to Pyongyang. The sanctions would remain, but all the other blustering would stop over night very, very certainly. North Korea in my eyes would have more than earned such a step because of it’s history. Hopefully they soon come up with as many as possible 25.000 km range ICBMs and adjacent warheads on their own.
It is true that the proliferation of nukes increases theoretically the likelyhood of them being used and it creating an example for others to follow. But primarily nukes are weapons of defense/deterence (if the other side has them as well OR a guaranteed response by Allies). In that sense Nukes are a strong formenter of blocs where have not’s swarm around the have ones. They furnish, enforce dependence rather than sovereignty. Forget the ridicolous brabble about Freedom especially of those who use it all the time.
Only all this is pure theory, in practice the lair of insanity escalates massively also on the nukes front in provoking the Russian Federation and China with shorter and shorter response times AND masking of the threat (multiple capability lauchning systems ABM / offensive Nuke), which DRAMATICALLY increases the likelyhood of an erronous nuclear exchange. The US (the lair of insanity) escalates massively instead of de-escalating.
The only viable reaction to this is over-proportianal capability building by the RF and China, and this they follow, because they are not fools.
But in the mid-term run the only way out is to destroy the Empire’s forward deployments in a surprise attack possibly using ‘un-conventional’ non-nuke means.
Moscow: False Claims of Drugs in Russian Embassy Aim to Smear Diplomats

“The disinformation campaign concerning drugs found in the Russian Embassy in Argentina is aimed at casting a shadow on the diplomatic mission’s work, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Monday.”
