Iran has no desire or need to buy any arms from the US or Europe, so they need not worry when the UN Arms Embargo against Iran expires shortly.
The US is threating to sanction Russian and Chinese companies if they sell arms to Iran.
These threats are meaningless, because these companies do no business with the US.
The US and Israel would like to see Iran defenseless, while selling $billions in weaponry to Iran’s neighbors.
The Trump administration is a circus run by clowns, with Trump being the biggest of them all.
Hoping to please Israel, with much fanfare the idiots walked away from the JCPOA in 2018 and applied what they termed “maximum pressure” on Iran.
Now, led by rabid Zionists like Pompeo, they go to the UN insisting that they are still part of the agreement.
Their devotion to Israel is such that no matter the embarassment, they plod on relentlessly, hoping that no one notices how stupid they look.
If only they could be half as devoted to the US, as they are to Israel.

What Britain is playing at here (given the UK-US “special relationship”) is unclear to me – maybe a spolier role, idk?
One of the most superb skills of the British in which i would even say they are the worlds experts, is “muddling along”…so any inconsistencies that show is because decisions are made short term on the hoof, with no proper preparatory planning…this is a feature i see in business activities as well as every time i open a newspaper and read the latest pontifications of some Government minister…Skripal… Covid.. etc. all dealt with by muddling along …
This “flexibility” has its advantages in the business world …but in politics it comes across as lack of spine…
Well, this poem with such a scary title was inspired by my own physical struggle but it can be related to other things happening in this world. Enjoy surfing it with your own imagination :
The Killer
by ioan
Hey you, bloody watcher, king of hell,
entering my garden, poisoning the well,
pillaging and killing, cutting out my wood,
turning upside down everything you could,
Tell me,
why are you doing this,
destroying my inner peace?
What is my fault,
my deeds, my thoughts
or both?
In your deepest anger, in your deepest hate,
you forced me to fight,
every day and every night
Being pressured by your lords, in my proper home,
chased until despair, by your hordes of hell,
who remained the same
since the fall of Rome
I’m convinced now who you are,
What’s your name,
where’s your place, your throne,
Everything is written there,
in the middle,
on your heart of stone
In your blood thirst, in your rage
You have crossed the roads,
sending blessings of your kind,
hurting me with thousands cuts,
willing to kill,
even my thoughts.
Could Life Be No More Than This?
If there was no future
If there was no past,
No good, nor hope
Of making it last.
If there was no evil
To disavow,
Life would be no more
Than what it is now.
If there was no beginning
If there was no end,
No fear of birth
And death, a friend.
No need for dismay
Or atonement due,
Life would be no more
Than each moment anew.
If there was no heaven
If there was no hell,
If there was no power,
No magical spell;
Nothing to deter you
From keeping your vow,
Life would be no more
Than what it is now.
If there was nowhere to go
And nowhere to be,
If there was nothing to know
And nothing to see.
If there was nothing to prove
No why or how,
Life would be no more
Than what it is right now!
a good one, to kneel before
Thanks mundo… I’m glad you’ve caught the significance of what it’s attempting to communicate. It was written over a 24 hour period on Sunday, and it seemed the perfect reply to ioan’s poem. As we unfold as a spiritual being, the laws change according to each of the ‘realms’ we find ourselves in, so this poem points to a state of consciousness that exists alongside the human state of consciousness, ie; that experienced through the physical, emotional and mental senses/bodies, and in seeming contradiction to them. But we need to understand that there are worlds beyond our mind, which can only be experienced and cannot be stated in so many words. At best, it should give people pause for thought/contemplation.
Yes Dimitar, good reply and my answer is that no, life is not just what I told in the poem, the complexity is so large.
I understand about the complexity, you’re talking about God’s creation and necessary process of emancipation of Soul… but the simplicity is that “Soul exists because God loves It”, and It exists here and now, and It always has a choice as to how It conducts Itself, which road to take, ie; love or power, etc.
Grammatically, this is better… ( substituting ‘were’ for ‘was’ all the way through )…
If there were nowhere to go
And nowhere to be,
If there were nothing to know
And nothing to see.
If there were nothing to prove
No why, nor how…
Life would be no more
Than what it is now.
Good one Ioan defo more but certainly not less expresses my thoughts-hope are ok.
I don’t know, only possible to share the idea of karma,

I always felt you as a female. As that, as an anima in males,
your place is a male’s nature is at his heart’s wit and softness.
But, being a male, being a fighter, I see your place
sovereigntly marked by your poem, like Hiob’s dialog with the creator.
With your poem another miracle is unfolding, me thinks

Women influence let their traces in my soul indeed, one of them becoming my child until her departure. The way of fate, or, as you may say, the way of the stars, cannot be underestimated, it brings together people sometimes in almost unthinkable situations, not just one or two but millions. When two people share a common fate is a simple passing thing, when millions are sharing it, that is called a major event then becomes history.
How’s the weather in Bayern ? hugs to your lady also.
Wonderful! Ioan. He is a killer. And does so just because he can. That’s uncle satan for you.
But as we used to say in the army about someone we admired: “he’s really got his sh-t together”—–and I’m talking about the most high here. He’s got it together. As Buddha said, this is a place of suffering and i concur. But I’ve been observing the most high all my life long and I repeat :he’s got it together. As his mercy to the worlds said—men make their plans and the most high his. I’m trusting him.
To quote my oldest son who is in the movie industry: “in my world” —–well in MY little world of spirit you have to acknowledge the most high. Worship any prince of the spirit you want but if you don’t acknowledge the Most High—I know beings made of fire who take their job very seriously. You can’t avoid them. They burn right through you. You just have to take it. They did that to me and the most high and i have always been friends.
As Jim Morrison said some people are born to sweet delight, some people are born to ride the storm. It’s fate as mundo says. I’d rather experience hell here. At least you have will.
Sorry for the rant . I’m (i hope) obviously of the love and mad crowd if now of the poets.
Brother Blue Iconoclast
Your rant is welcome and your words are appreciated, Lasttruebeliever. Your life experience and your way of thinking makes you a valuable good friend in this unforgettable cafe where people from different places, with different background are gathering together because of a common spirituality.
I have no doubt that many will come here today on this Sunday to get a moment’s respite. This is a joke, but it also shows just how very very good the deep fake business has become.
The Chinese made a lip sync of Trump and Pompeo singing what they say is a popular Chinese song – I love you China.
Check it out on this tweet. https://twitter.com/HuXijin_GT/status/1302644596048949248
Amusing, must be really funny if you’re Chinese and therefor can understand the words.
It’s actually a bit frightening isn’t it – how well they can fake anything now. I remember seeing a similar one done of Trump and Putin “singing” the Beatles classic “Imagine”. It wasn’t as good as this one though.
Never again going to believe anything on a video I see online every again.
Pamela,
I don’t know Chinese either, just picked a couple of words & phrases in Mandarin (their chief dialect) from my university colleagues years ago – and could recognise the following in that song:
Mei-quo = America
ua ay ni = I love you
and so it is:
Mei-quo, ua ay ni! = America, I love you!
:-D :-D :-D
This too, gives some respite. And from Australia – showing the best way to get rest these days is to stay as far away from humans, the “Maddening crowd” [yes, I edited the word a bit], and be on your own, with sun, and land and an animal who loves hugs

Great gift to us, Amarynth. Laughter purifies the mind and frees the soul from the detritus of bad news, depressing events and general BS.
Thanks for posting the tweet.
I’m Gonna Shoot That Old Horse
I’m gonna shoot that old horse,
She’s gone in the knees.
Don’t know how she made it
Through the last freeze.
She used to be strong
Back in the day,
But she’s old and she’s blind
And she’s wasted away.
I’m gonna shoot that old horse,
She’s acting so strange.
She shakes and she trembles
On fire with the mange.
All through the night
You’d hear her neigh,
Now there’s nary a nicker
For a week and a day.
I’m gonna shoot that old horse,
She’s been a good friend.
I’ve tried everthing
But she just won’t mend.
God bless that old nag,
She gave all she could,
But the time has come
To end her misery for good.
I’m gonna shoot that old horse,
Gonna hold back the tears.
I’ll bury her then
And drink a few beers.
I’ll go down to the barn
And lie in the hay,
Eat chowder and apples
And remember my bay.
Bay is a reddish brown horse coat colour, with black point colouration of mane, tail, ear-tips and lower legs. It’s the most common coat colour among many horse breeds.
Sorry to correct….nary a Snicker?
Hi JJ, I thought so, too, but apparently we were wrong.
if you got any ammo left-come and shoot me(the knackers wont pick me either)
I’m sure we could arrange it, dave… my role would be purely as a compassionate friend. Could get complicated,
though, how am I going to then ‘escape’… we are talking an illegal act, here. How ’bout this… have a second think about it all, ie; do you really want to go down this road? Another complication, we’ll have to wait until the pandemic’s over… hey wait, there’s another option…if you’ve made yr decision, you might try walking around w/out a mask, stop disinfecting, start hanging around old people’s homes, ICU in hospitals etc, Covid might do the job for you… might be easier, overall… lol.
Good points Dimitar-but given your list of delightful options-I will have to reconsider my position.Thank you.
If Unsure
If unsure,
better to wait.
Have a good think,
it’s never too late.
What if you decide,
somewhere mid-dive,
To change your mind,
and stay alive?
What if, mid-stream
you realise,
That nothing’s been solved,
only disguised?
What if you see
Just before the fall,
That things weren’t so bad,
After all?
What if you accept
there’s no one to blame?
Death’s so final,
it’s such a shame…
So, if you’re unsure
better to wait,
Otherwise,
it may be too late.

Not too technical:
China is killing the dollar : This action would probably end the $US role as the world’s reserve currency
https://www.goldmoney.com/research/goldmoney-insights/china-is-killing-the-dollar
However that being said we may also need to expect this after the election:
“There is one story that may be bigger than the elections, the riots, and the pandemic, but it will take a few years to play out. The US will convert China’s $1.2 trillion of Treasury notes to a trust fund for COVID-19 victims and for economic damages. Bye-bye China reserves.” – Tweet 16 September @JamesGRickards
Theres absolutely nothing that this psychopathic Empire in its death throes wont do!!!
Oh boy….some brains in USA are working so hard they will fry….but China got the WTO to prove sanctions trade wars etc are illegal..so will they succeed in getting damages?

When I opened my mail yesterday, a political propaganda mailer from the technofascist candidate posing as a female businesswoman –Democrat of course- contained the first line:
“When faced with credible reports that Russia was arming and paying terrorists in Afghanistan to kill US troops, career politician Tom McClintock’s silence tells us everything we need to know.”
What does this tell us? That he/we can think for ourselves and read the news reports that admit that top Generals cannot confirm this claim? And since when did silence mean anything other than silence?
Perhaps Ms. Brynne Kennedy should research the admitted reports which are higher on the believability scale than “credible reports” that our tax dollars are being sent to Ukrainian mercenaries who are paid to kill Russian soldiers in Crimea?
So to compile a list of approved double talk phrases: there is “highly likely” and “mostly peaceful” and lastly we have “credible reports”….
.
Ms Kennedy’s reference to the bounty hoax is a good example of what Cokie Roberts once said – That anyone can make a crazy or wrong statement, but once in the media, “It’s out there” forever. In this case for her California voters.
“What does this tell us?”
Dear terranam 13, baby, doesn’t it tell ius, beyond our daily
normal – petty – heroism, that ‘ the answer’ lies in the lap

re: question posed ( rhetorically) by the YouTube video: Why is Western press silent? Seriously?
1. Maybe they are busy trying to figure out how to hack these systems?
2. Maybe ( reversing their projections) they are trying to figure out how to steal these systems?
3. Maybe the idea of real competition is anathema to them regardless of professions to the contrary?
4. Maybe they just hate everything Russia, Russian …pro Russia or neutral to Russia.
A friend posted this story about a Ukrainian dilemma today. It’s very interesting. The first is in Russian as he posted it.The second is a translation into English.
ALIEN’S UKRAINE.
I refused to participate in the political process in Ukraine because I do not know how a person with my convictions can participate in this process today.
I have always loved the Ukrainian language. I will not say that I loved Shevchenko, but at one time I was fascinated by the incredible poetics of his language – the one in which we, of course, do not speak today, which then, in his time, was just emerging, representing an amazing phonetic fusion of the ancient colloquial Russian and contemporary Polish, but as a result Shevchenko got a very beautiful language.
It was not as sizzling as Polish, and not as transparent and voluminous as Russian, but its own, homely, song, flowing like a stream, beautiful, worthy of praising the beauty of Ukraine.
I loved it. I never spoke Ukrainian in my childhood and youth. I studied at a Russian school and did not know Ukrainian. My father was Ukrainian and more and more spoke Surzhik at home. Mother spoke Russian. She is Russian, born on Sakhalin, and even to this day she has not gotten rid of the characteristic clear Russian pronunciation of Russian words.
I learned the language after the collapse of the Soviet Union, when I retired and returned to Kiev. At one time I worked a lot in Western Ukraine and learned the language quickly enough.
True, even when I started reading Shevchenko, I noticed a certain oddity in communicating with the intelligentsia of Lvov and Ivano-Frankivsk. I was especially amazed by the position of their Greek Catholic priests, who did not hesitate then in the nineties to toast to “death to Muscovites.” To be honest, being for the first time in a similar situation (it was a gala reception in Ivano-Frankivsk on the occasion of the next anniversary of Independence), I did not know how to behave. Everyone around was laughing, supporting an important clergyman who raised such a toast, and I said to myself that most likely it was just such a joke, and that it means something like those jokes that we used to joke in the Navy about Ukrainians and Muscovites. But I was wrong.
Then I specially spoke separately with that “spiritual” person. I chose the subject for conversation myself, proposing to talk about Taras Grigorievich Shevchenko, because then he, as, in a sense, the foundation of the newly created Ukraine, especially interested me. The clergyman gladly responded to this proposal of mine and, in a Western dialect that was still very poor for me at that time, began to emphasize that the greatest work of Taras Grigorievich was his poem “Gaidamaki”, which describes the uprising of Gonta and Zheleznyak.
I then somehow hesitantly objected that there is a lot of blood and cruelty in this poem is sung by Taras Grigorievich, where the Cossacks massacre the Jews of Uman and play with Polish heads on the market square. Where to dine after the massacre, they do not sit at the tables, but set them right on the bodies of the victims they have torn to pieces. He said that I do not understand how one of the main characters of the poem publicly stabbed his young children just because their mother (his wife) christened them Catholic.
The “clergyman” looked at me with drunken suspicion and told me that I still did not understand anything about Shevchenko or the Ukrainian people.
How right he was!
At that time I did not yet understand anything about the Ukrainian people who gradually came from Western Ukraine and today infected almost all the rest of it with themselves.
But then I was full of optimism. Western Ukraine, I thought, this is not all of Ukraine, this is not Gogol and not his Little Russia, this is not Berdyaev and not his Self-Knowledge, this is not Bulgakov and not his Kiev, this is not even Shevchenko, I thought. This is just a small people who not so long ago became a Ukrainian people, but gradually they will assimilate and become the same as all of us living in Kiev, Kharkov or Donetsk.
Again I did not understand anything. It was not just a small people – it was an infection, a virus, a plague.
And so this plague spread. Well fed and constantly fertilized by the ideological laboratories of the United States and Canada, it systematically carried itself into the brains and souls of Kiev, Odessa, Kharkiv, more and more transforming them into that very Western little people, more and more delighting the “clergyman” in Ivano- Frankivske, who, unlike me, understood the true essence of “Western Ukrainians”.
The flag, coat of arms, anthem of Ukraine gradually began to be saturated with new meanings. Just as black flags were once hung over cities stricken by the plague, so today, the yellow-blue flag has become a symbol of the disease for me.
The final saturation of the state symbols of Ukraine with antihuman content occurred when, while singing the Anthem, under yellow-blue standards, with a trident on their armor, Ukrainian tanks shot the militiamen of Mariupol, and such Maidan activists as Beletsky, Kiva, Yarosh and others like them went to shoot the Ukrainians of Donbass.
Moreover, those who went to fight the rebellious Donbass did, and continue to do so, fiercely and selflessly, believing that in this way they are protecting their homeland. They don’t just kill those who think differently, they themselves perish in this war, but nevertheless they go to kill. Those. this is their true ideological convictions. This is their country, this is their state, which they built in accordance with their convictions – an ideological state in which the core forming ideology is the ideology of Ukrainian nationalism, the ideology of Russophobia and hatred, a state in which I have no place.
After even having come to the Parliament, having become a people’s deputy again, I will have to take an oath of allegiance to this particular state. I will have to sing the Anthem, put the Flag on the lapel of my jacket and serve under the Emblem of this state, which is not mine in spirit.
I cannot imagine how I, remaining myself, can serve what my Ukraine has become, becoming a stranger and dangerous for me.
I know that for many this is not an obstacle, and I in no way condemn them. It’s just that I won’t be honest if I suddenly drag out somewhere: “She ne vmerla.” It just seems to me that it’s the same as doing politics in the Third Reich. Nothing, they say, terrible, someone will say: well, I would have posed, I would have hung a Swastika in my office, I would have walked like torchlight processions through the streets of Berlin, I would have become a member of the Reichstag and would have offered an alternative to the prevailing fascist policy, but first, however, taking the oath loyalty to the fascist state.
After that, it remains, perhaps, to propose a new model of gas ovens for the Reich crematoria, and to amend the public procurement law so that your ovens are bought, since they are more humane and have higher productivity.
I can’t do that. I know myself.
Thanks for that post, UB. I wonder who wrote it? Or must the author remain anonymous? (Wouldn’t surprise anybody if they had to)
About one of Per/Norway’s shared articles:
https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2020/09/18/brexit-why-does-europe-continue-to-speak-english/
1. The article claims that English has become the international language in continental Europe because the USA ‘won’ the Cold War. Was English also spoken in continental Western Europe during the Cold War (i.e. from the end of WWII to the collapse of the USSR)?
2. What language was used between the Warsaw Pact nations during the Cold War?
3.
Italian and German in particular have the advantage of greater consistency between spelling and pronunciation, so sounds in native words are less likely to differ unpredictably than they do in English (e.g. ‘come’ and ‘home’ do not rhyme, and neither do ‘one’ and ‘bone’, or ‘touch’ and ‘couch’).
Only problem is, English is only one language, while French, German and Italian are three. While the arrangement described in the article would hypothetically work well between France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria and Italy, the issue begins with other EU nations that don’t speak either of the three (e.g. a Dane who speaks German tries to communicate with a Spaniard who speaks French and/or Italian, assuming that English is out of the question). Would all three languages have to be taught outside of the ‘Blue Banana’?
4. English stands out among the Indo-European languages within the EU in that it is bereft of grammatical gender, unlike French, German and Italian.
Many have (rightfully) derided the creation of non-binary human genders in the Anglosphere as a perversion of traditional gender identity. Then again, Mandarin doesn’t have gendered nouns either with the exception of pronouns, and I have yet to hear of this same nonbinary-nonsense occurring in China. Even so, to which degree would the presence of grammatical gender hinder (if not outright prevent) the adoption of nonbinaryism?
(How it works, if I understand this correctly, is that the concept of masculine and feminine would be enshrined into the languages’ culture that new genders would be immediately recognized as mere derivatives of the two rather than separate, and therefore fail to catch on.)
5. It’s no secret that the presence of USian hegemony has led to English words making their way into European languages as official words. In some of these languages said words preserve their original English spelling at the expense of native orthography. In the event that English becomes unseated from the EU, how will this affect said words of English origin from post-WWII? (I dunno about pre-WWI words such as das Baby in German)
English, as a language, is a high bred mongeral………mainly latin, french, german, etc………which creates the issue for many english writer/speakers and most non english speakers/writers………….’far too many words’ the best advise from an English teacher ever, and I take it to heart, every time you write ten words to make a point, in English, there will be ‘one’ word that does the same (a form of self edit). Use the one word, not the ten. Speaches and writing then become enjoyable to consume…..especially important when working in what I call ‘spanglish’ trying to reach people who do not have spanglish as thier first language, hell even those that do. Just a thought ………from a very long dead English teacher.
Cheers, M
Many of us might know of the US dollar as a reserve currency in NATO and other countries occupied by the USA. But on the other side of the Iron Curtain, what did the Warsaw Pact nations use as a reserve currency – if they used one, that is? Wikipedia claims that the Soviet ruble and East German mark (I don’t know about the other currencies) could not be exported outside of the Soviet Union and GDR respectively.
the documentary i posted in the news feed is heart breaking, the war crimes in Yemen is mind numbing.
Per,
just devastating – and we’re directed to care instead about a cock and bull story regarding Navalny or Svetlana T reading out Western penned scripts on human rights. Disgusting.
With the witch thankfully six feet under, the big scramble for the “Supreme Court” vacancy commences…
https://nationalinterest.org/blog/2020-election/ginsburg%E2%80%99s-death-launches-attacks-democratic-senators-169315
As always Isreal Shamir is great. He discusses RBG’s death:
General rehearsal
US civil war
The death of the old witch of RBG (this is not a mortar, but a Supreme Court judge) seems to be a breakdown for the upcoming civil war. Trump, as authorized by the constitution, wants to appoint a new judge. Democrats are telling him, ′′ Don’t you dare! This is our prerogative!” Both sides promise to drive without brakes, which, as we know, only underwear uses. We thought we would live quietly until November, but no, it’s time to try the strength. If Trump gives up, we’ll think he’s merged, and in November he’ll also merge. And if it doesn’t give up, let’s see what his opponents can do.
Oh the dead, really, nihil (bene won’t work out), but the late, which is now being held by America – like the USSR Stalin, was a completely crazy beast. She visited Israel a few years ago. I felt sympathetic. ′′ You, she said, treat women worse than blacks in the laws of Jim Crow. And you have poor judges. At 70 years old, they retire. It’s not what we have – as long as you live, so much you do the court.” She lived to 87 years, and she didn’t think to retire. She considered any restriction of abortion – including killing a newborn – a violation of women’s rights. Of course, I couldn’t stand her, but the Democrats adored her. However, Democrats have become the party of the matriarchy – and Biden goes first just because immediately after the election, he will transfer power to his vice president. The matriarchy is a cruel power, humanity was facing it, and the nightmare was still the one. Ginsberg was the forerunner of such a government from which we will run back to the scariest tyrants of the past.
@ Uncle Bob
Thank you!
Let us recall the words of great Friedrich Schiller – it is as if he was describing what is happening today!…
Freiheit und Gleichheit! hört man schallen;
Der ruh’ge Bürger greift zur Wehr,
Die Straßen füllen sich, die Hallen,
Und Würgerbanden ziehn umher.
Da werden Weiber zu Hyänen
Und treiben mit Entsetzen Scherz;
Noch zuckend, mit des Panthers Zähnen,
Zerreißen sie des Feindes Herz.
Nichts Heiliges ist mehr, es lösen
Sich alle Bande frommer Scheu;
Der Gute räumt den Platz dem Bösen,
Und alle Laster walten frei.
Freedom and Equality! one hears proclaimed,
The peaceful citizen is driven to arms,
The streets are filling, the halls,
The vigilante-bands are moving,
Then women change into hyenas
And make a plaything out of terror,
Though it twitches still, with panthers teeth,
They tear apart the enemy’s heart.
Nothing is holy any longer, loosened
Are all ties of righteousness,
The good gives room to bad,
And all vices freely rule.
(From Friedrich Schiller’s Das Lied von der Glocke (1798), Song of the Bell; translation by Walter H. Schneider)
“… The matriarchy is a cruel power, humanity was facing it, and the nightmare was still the one. Ginsberg was the forerunner of such a government from which we will run back to the scariest tyrants of the past. …”

There are massive proofs that the US government during the Barack Obama administration created IS in the Middle East and North Africa for the purpose of regime change wars against the elected governments in a number of countries. New evidence suggest that 5 billion US dollars were transferred to Iraq by syndicated banks such as Deutsche Bank USA in order to pay and run the IS mercenary army. Initially IS was also related to the Libyan war against pres. of Libiaya Moammar Qadaffi, where IS were trained and formed by CIA/US/NATO conspiracy against the country. IS and a large number of weapons were transferred via Turkey to Iraq. The insurgency forces were supplied with loads of vehicles supplied by USA, Britain and Australia that brought them directly to the Iraqi’s US weapons depots storagtes for Iraq, were IS acquired all the US weapons used in the occupation of Iraq and Syria. Later such vehicle supplies by USA, Britain and Australia were confirmed by a government terror investigation. https://journal-neo.org/2015/10/09/the-mystery-of-isis-toyota-army-solved/
Newly released documents show that 5 billion US dollars were transferred during a short period of time to Iraq to IS. https://www.presstv.com/Detail/2020/09/21/634665/Deutsche-Bank-funds-Daesh-Iraq
And US/NATO weapons deliveries to IS and al Qaeda in Syria are widely reported.
https://newspunch.com/u-s-arms-dealers-provide-isis-with-their-weapons-expose/
The wars in the Middle East and particularily in Syria and Iraq where IS established a “state” were massive warcrimes and crimes against humanity, massacres, forced labour, imprisonment and so forth. To the effect that a war crimes tribunal ought to be held by impartial forces and international organisations involved with the Roma Statutes. The lack of such responses will only propell the world into lawlessness that we experience now, covid-19 viruses, corruption of all political entities, the UN, and international organisations calling for new nazi regimes to rule the world.
I’m really sorry for producing inflation of poetry today but this one is for you :
For John
Among the few, who have a clue,
there is a man, who knows the truth
Then, surely others, who love the riddle,
who can read between the lines,
and can find the tool,
Somewhere in the middle
‘inflation of poetry’ sounds like you are fighting back or feeling better……………………..hope you are feeling better and fighting back……..love, in the middle of a riddle………..perhaps, a riddle onto itself, yet, a tool for truth.
Cheers, M
Thanks for a nice poem, very kind of you Ioan!
That would be me.
John4T, Ronald Bernard explains quite well, for those who take the time to listen, that the money, the numbers, big, bigger and collossally staggering, is a game. Go to the vid Bro posted, skip all the pedo stuff, he gets to the part where he is laundering money………..eye opening, mind expanding. The ‘soviets could print better dollars than the US’. Flooding Itally with fake dollars to collapse thier economy, laundering billions for all ‘international secret services’ and certain governments. More people need to hear those words. War crime tribunals…………hope springs eternal.

Excellent article explaining the funding and hidden agenda of Black Lives matter by Mike Whitney – a snippet to whet the appetite :

Racism – and Covid 19 – are being used to distract from but also to take the blame for the approaching financial collapse and the resulting terrible consequences for ordinary people. The old divide and conquer trick never goes away, because it works so well.

“Российская Газета” reports “… Times: British aviation and navy intensify near Russian borders …”, the stated purpose being “to put Moscow’s military on the defensive”.
https://rg.ru/2020/09/20/times-aviaciia-i-flot-britanii-aktivizirovalis-u-granic-rossii.html
(The Sunday Times: “… RAF fighters and Royal Navy warships have dramatically increased patrols around Russia’s borders and coasts in an unprecedented operation to put Moscow’s military on the defensive. Twenty-eight RAF aircraft have been sent to Russia’s borders on the Black Sea and off the coast of the Kola peninsula in the Arctic since the last week of August, involving formations of as many as five British aircraft at a time. Typhoon fighters and Voyager refuelling tankers, as well as Sentinel, RC-135 and Sentry E-3 Awacs (airborne early warning and control system) spy planes, have joined the long-range missions. …”)
RG.com adds, that according to the general staff of the Russian armed forces, foreign reconnaissance aircraft increased their presence in the Black Sea region by 40 percent, and the intensity of aerial reconnaissance near the Crimean peninsula increased by 60 percent.

> US President Donald Trump claims that Russia developed hypersonic
weapons after allegedly stealing information from the United States.
> According to him, “Russia received this information from the Obama
administration,” Moscow “stole this information.” Trump said that
“Russia received this information and then created” the rocket, reports
TASS.
> “We have such advanced weapons that President Xi, Putin and
everyone else will envy us. They do not know what we have, but they
know that it is something that no one has ever heard of. ”
->We are the foremost and always number one. Everything is invented
only by us, the rest can only either steal, or be gifted with our
developments for good behavior. This situation is eternal, unchanging,
everyone lags behind American Tikhalogii at least 50 years (the time
frame was chosen so that even a 20-year-old would lose heart, “what’s
the point of trying to catch up, it won’t work anyway, in my lifetime”). It
was, is, and will be, this is the natural course of events.
All this is delivered in the format of the classic Sunday sermon of the
American provincial Protestant church, coding the parishioners for
further deeds and actions. And it worked effectively, creating in some
basalt confidence “we are better because we are better”, in others – “I
don’t mind anything for joining this radiant success, I’m ready for
anything, I’ll go for any hardships and crimes, if only There”.
Only now it worked. In a situation where the frequency of pronouncing
such mantras is more and more, emotions are invested in them too, but
in fact everyone understands that this is what autohypnosis does not
work.
The poor have stolen from the United States, if you look at it, literally
everything. And 5G and the superweapon of the gods. Moreover, a pearl
with a characteristic handwriting is not copy / paste, but move / paste,
you bastards. Therefore, the United States does not even have any
traces of developments left – the guys just sit in an empty room, shrug
their hands, “here we have a farm of mechanical killer dolls, with the
faces of Mickey Mouse overexposed, and now look – traces of bast shoes
and candy wrappers from “Korkunov” only, ah-ah-ah, well, something
like that, ah. ”
At the same time, there are no cases of sabotage, espionage – whole
projects were simply developed, developed, brought to a working
product, and then the hob – and that’s it, and disappeared. And this
became noticeable only after years. And all the persons involved are
like “wow, wow.”
Psychiatric crazy fool of the head, no less.
But due to the fact that all of the above theses are driven very tightly
into the template for the perception of the world, both those who voiced
these theses and the listeners are satisfied.
Because the post-American post-hegemonic world is not terrible
because in some ratings another country will be higher there, and
Detroit will never be rebuilt “as it was”. It is scary because it is not clear
how to live for people who had no support in the form of global goals,
faith, philosophy of life, and all this was replaced by narcissism on the
basis of “successful success is my second self”.
This means that the moment when this issue has to be resolved must
be delayed to the last. Leaving the whole topic on the plane “we were
offended, we are offended, we were dishonest, which means we have
the right to any action” is not a bad move.
It’s a pity that it doesn’t really affect the essence of what is happening.
That piece by SmoothieX was really funny. And the comment from the Russian specialist – well, I know these thing’s ‘aint really funny you know .. but Trump is lying through his teeth saying Russia got the American technology from Obama.
The Russian specialist said: “And it was this man, Efremov, revealed to the public for the first time, who responded to Trump’s claims. Speaking to Rossiyskaya Gazeta he was straight to the point (in Russian):
“We experimented with hypersonic weapons in Soviet times, when Obama was still in his adolescence.”
Assange Trial.
They’ve ended for the day, but Kevin Gosztola was up and reporting early on. We will wait for the other reporters, specifically Craig Murray to write up their reports.
I tried to follow Gosztola blow by blow today, but had other work today, and it got very complex as well. If you scroll through his tweet stream, there is more information indented under every tweet.

The major testimony today was from Fairbanks .. her testimony was read into the record, but she testified that Assange was dragged out of the Ecuadorian Embassy and the op was coordinated on Trump’s direct order.
Sputnik wrote up a piece about this testimony.

From Craig Murray, who describes Monday’s proceedings as frustrating and entering into fantasy land.
https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2020/09/your-man-in-the-public-gallery-assange-hearing-day-14/
These proceedings are almost comically unfair.
While the prosecution is permitted to repeatedly read out accusations in Luke Harding’s book – as if this were evidence – witnesses for the defence are not allowed to speak. The judge is granting to the prosecution a virtual veto on what evidence is allowed to be heard. The defence seems to be quite ineffectual on this point.
Meanwhile, Baraitser is doing her best to prevent people seeing this farce, she doesn’t want her disgraceful performance to see the light of day. The media remains helpfully silent.
From Kevin Gosztola, who is working his buns off I’m sure, the journalists covering the trial and it is pitiful. There is a big black blanket thrown over all this. Nobody wants you or me to know about it.

There would be no reason to shut down / criminalise any and all discussion of this question, if the facts stood up to scrutiny. In fact it would be endlessly researched to find new details to present to the public.
Who is researching, who is presenting, and as you well know once it is put out (1917) in print (see; my post on frontline grandas fate with Brutish war propaganda), by say the rulers of the day (England) even when researched, scrutinized and dissected…………..who puts out ‘the’ retraction presenting the new details to the public (independant, lost in the wilderness journalists aside)? Also the papers publishing the fake 1916 6 million were owned by ‘you know who’ spreading 6 million lies. They worked extremely hard, diligently, and by the end of ’45 they controlled all they needed to make the second wave of six million fake deaths stick in the collective minds of billions of people for likely millions of years, or until we cease to exist as a species.
Cheers, M
Endless research is endless, see; fake 6 million dead in ovens re; 1945 Europe………..research that, see where one’s career goes (confirm it, be lauded, deney it, get crucified, there’s a pun in there)…………if one even can get it to print, or a digital platform……..for public consumption/discussion
And yes, everything ‘should’ be open, without persicution, to discussion………….we don’t live in that world………haven’t for a long time, one day maybe; nah, see; cease to exist above.
Sean,
I can’t disagree with any of that :-)
After a month’s vacation, our bow-tied, dachshund -loving moderator of Crosstalk is back, better than ever!!
It seems that he has developed more humor and more compassion in dealing with the warring American factions on his program. ( eg. 9/18/2020 episode). The second half of the Monday program is about Stephen F. Cohen and the painful process ( known too well by him from his study of Stalinism) of becoming a non person in American intellectual life.
https://www.rt.com/shows/crosstalk/501242-passing-two-towering-figures/
As for the dogs–I love them..and ,unlike the fellow on the Duran who puts awesome art behind him and then blocks my seeing it fully for the whole program, I get to get a glimpse of them every now and then.
I like crosstalk. I had often heard the dogs in the background, then one day he picked one up and sat it in his lap while the show continued. It was very charming. I always instinctively liked Peter Lavelle. Now he has confirmed my long held belief that all the best people are animal lovers.

Given the World Military Games were held in Wuhan in OCT 2019 – where the Americans finished 12th (I kid you not!) it is by no means certain that the Chinese developed the bioweapon SARS-CoV2.
See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2019_Military_World_Games
But also it is by no means certain the infection / death rates arent being vastly exaggerated to scare people into accepting a vaccine that using nanotechnology will enable us all to be biologically controlled by whoever owns / controls the technology (ie techno-fascists)

IMHO it was almost certainly a US/China Deep State …..JOINT VENTURE.
And Yin and Yang are manifest in every land, every race, every nationality…………and almost every individual.
I haven’t thought much about every species……….however UBSVN, by the “handle” components “black” and “sheep” guides my inquiry (which has been concentrated in the Affairs of The Human Species)…….to broader species application on this earth……and beyond.
Returning to Earth, we have the Equinox…arriving where I am, a fraction of an hour after completing this post.
This passage (and a few others) From the essay Numerological Thought by Christopher Butler, particularly resonated as I read it yesterday:
“Pythagoras and Plato taught that further that just as the universe was harmonic in constitution, so is the soul of man who contemplates it; who, as he gains knowledge, orders and cultivates the divine elements in himself……The idea of man as microcosm is thus of very considerable antiquity. The philosopher who contemplates the kosmos becomes kosmios in his own soul.
Ever since Plato it was believed that this harmony could be achieved through the arts. Crucial here is the passage on music and the soul in the Timaeus:
‘The sight of day and night, the months and returning years, the equinoxes and solstices, has caused the invention of number, given us the notion of time, and made us enquire into the nature of the universe; thence we have derived philosophy…… We should see the revolutions of intelligence in the heavens and use their untroubled courses to guide the troubled revolutions in our own understanding, which are akin to them…….and all audible musical sound is given us for the sake of harmony, which has motions akin to the orbits within our soul and which, as anyone who makes intelligent use of the arts knows, is not to be used, as is commonly thought, to give irrational pleasure, but as a heaven sent ally in reducing to order and harmony the revolutions within us.’
ME again: Although China is a bigger closer neighbor to Vietnam than the USA…………or France….with a much longer history…..of harmony/disharmony with Vietnam, Black Sheep must be aware of the Yin and Yang …..or the chaos and order…..disharmony and harmony…the negative and at least SOME tiny positive … of all of these nations in regard to Vietnam..(or only France….in regard to cuisine??? )……in regard to each other as well……and finally, internally, each, including Vietnam in regard to ITS ……self……….a median “nationalities” realm ………..between all of the earth’s billions of individuals such as UBSVN and other singular Vietnamese persons….or ourselves….as Westerners…..Chinese…or Russians……or Persians and the entire ONE………Universe.
I only have 1 Vietnamese (American @ 40 years old……… of immigrant parents) friend that I have met with several times in the past five years……….but I also have UBSVN and one other known well enough through the internet……………..that UBSVN says is “not Vietnamese” because he, like the first guy…..does not spend most of his time standing on Vietnamese soil.
But can’t the identity of people be……… more than one thing, simultaneously?? In waxing or waning proportions??
I’m sorting out further thoughts on this that involve ALL 3 above mentioned “Vietnamese In Varying Degrees”…and very possibly everyone everywhere else here of every other human identity……….as well…..and those thoughts might gel for the next Cafe, UBSVN.
Cheers!
A Russian friend posted this about being Russian:
We are Russians! And God is with us!
It is Russians, not Russians.
Why is a Chechen proud that he is a Chechen, while they tell me, a Russian in my country, that my nationality can offend someone, offend someone? Because I am Russian, I will not love other peoples less. I will not become less hospitable and hospitable. I like it when guests come to me, but I don’t like it when these guests start to become impudent and behave like a boor in my house.
I don’t need to make excuses for wanting basic respect for the owner of the house. And from this I do not become a nationalist.
Why are only Russians condemned for this desire?
We are Russians and God is with us.
It is us who are trying to destroy the defenders of the perverts, because only we stand in their way. We stop them from building their crazy world of gender diversity. Let’s put it bluntly: the world of ordinary perverts, where almost every perversion has its own gender assigned. Not all perversions have their own gender, but it is a matter of time and they are working hard in this direction.
We are the guardians of the World.
And we are the last defenders of the Family in the understanding as it was created by nature.
It is we who are selfless defenders of the weak, it is in our blood that there is a power that can stop Evil.
Many peoples are worthy, brave and warlike, but in the most difficult, bloody and fateful battles for humanity, the Russians won.
And in this battle with the defenders of perverts, we will win.
There are no half measures and semitones, if you are “for all good, against all bad”, but at the same time liberalize, supporting perverts, then you are on their side, hostile to us – know this.
Someone opened the windows to the world of perverts and their perverted fantasies … Let’s close these “damn windows” and return to the world of normal people.
“Russia will rise when the dead stand next to the living” …
They are already standing next to us.
Our ancestors, our warriors stand next to us.
We are Russians, God is with us and our Ancestors are with us!

Why Do Americans Give Away So Much Control to Corporations? By Ralph Nader

For 2 reasons:
1 The poor think they’re millionaires temporarily out of money
2 Libertarians think by giving power to unequal relationships between consumers & corporations is better than giving in to government

The following on “Putin Today” taken from a writting by Col. Cassad:
https://www.putin-today.ru/archives/108476
If you dont have a translator I have copied from the site – Mod please excuse the length, but it’s very interesting, I think, and worth a perusal.
The point is, if this a true reflection of how the top brass of Pentagon, and other advisors to the President, are thinking about Putin and Russia, then clearly Russia has nothing to worry about except the possibility that these functioning morons might have access to the “red button”.
It exemplifies, infact, what I have always said is a major, and very limiting, characteristic, of the majority of AngloSaxon minds, certainly those in power: that they cannot see beyond their very limited sphere of experience, and what they want to be the truth. They cant accept what they just dont want to accept.
Remember a couple of posts I have made here showing the huge industrialisation and growth going on in Russia today, and how it is adding slowly but surely to Russian peoples increasing standard of living and prospects for a good future. Think of the subtlety with which Russia is being ruled and guided.
Then see how these influencers see the nation.
” A report by the ISW international Pentagon center, which advises the American military leadership, on Russia’s policy in the former USSR and other regions of the world after 2014.
This is the view of American propagandist analysts on the activities of Russia near their borders for a better understanding of how they see the activities of the Russian Federation.
“Kremlin’s geopolitical adaptation after 2014»
The West has made some progress in countering the Kremlin since Russia’s illegal occupation of Crimea, but Russian President Vladimir Putin has found ways to compensate for external pressure on Russia without giving up on his achievements and goals.
The center of attraction for Putin is his ability to shape the perception of others and create an image of a powerful Russia based on limited real power.
Putin’s efforts since 2014 to overcome Russia’s weak positions and achieve his goals have focused on creating a global information space that is favorable to Russia; purposefully increasing Russia’s military presence, providing asymmetric opportunities to influence decision-making; including Russia in the cocoon of a network of coalitions and international organizations to strengthen Russia’s limited power; diversifying Russia’s tools and means of influence and Subversion; expanding Russia’s influence in peripheral theaters; and consolidating power within Russia.
Putin’s evolving approaches allow him to play the bad cards well, but his cards remain weak. Putin’s dependence on asymmetric approaches will grow as the gap between his means and goals widens. This gap will not necessarily threaten the survival of Putin’s regime, but it will provide the United States with the ability to counter Russia’s challenge. The West should restrict access to two key drivers of Putin’s power — narratives and coalitions. A long-term solution against Russia could be to create collective immunity to the Russian challenge, including the ability of strategic intelligence in the US and its partners to detect Putin’s slow tactical creep before it becomes his strategic advantage.
How does Putin succeed or fail in achieving his goals?
Several sources of stability allowed Putin to hold power for 20 years. Putin understands Russia. It offers a limited and periodically changing, but nevertheless real value proposition for Russians and other countries. It has several sources of real power, including nuclear weapons, a global military presence, and a veto in the UN Security Council. Putin’s power in Russia’s domestic politics and his ability to influence the global concept are other important sources of power.
Putin is adapting to a changing geostrategic environment. He has been dynamically updating his value proposition to his constituents in Russia over the past two decades. Since 2014, Putin has changed the methods he uses to achieve his foreign policy goals without fundamentally changing them. More recently, Putin has shown that he is willing to experiment with less repressive tactics to tame public discontent in Russia. He allowed the anti-Kremlin protests of 2020 in Russia’s far East to boil over without putting them down much longer than, for example, he would have done in the past. He is developing Russia’s approach to hybrid warfare, as he uses anti-government protests in Belarus to regain control of this former Soviet state.
However, Putin’s power has real and growing limits. Putin is accumulating risk on fundamental factors such as Russia’s economy and human capital as their condition deteriorates. What Putin can offer Russia and its foreign partners is also limited, and in some cases harmful. Putin is aware of these problems, but is unlikely to significantly expand Russia’s resources and capabilities. Its kleptocratic regime is incompatible with the reform necessary for meaningful growth of the Russian economy. In addition, Putin’s efforts since 2014 have been skewed towards reducing damage and easing restrictions, rather than improving Russia’s fundamentals. He focused, for example, on more effective control over Russian society and more sustained pressure on other countries, rather than on reforming Russia or becoming a more attractive international partner.
Putin must increasingly support the view that the alternative to his rule in Russia is either worse or too expensive. Thus, Putin’s dependence on his ability to shape the narrative is an existential requirement.
Putin can no longer afford the luxury of covering his actions in Russia with legalism. For two decades, Putin has tried to maintain the semblance of democracy in Russia and has repeatedly stated that he will not change the Constitution in accordance with his political plans. However, Putin openly did just that in 2020, to give himself the opportunity to rule effectively for life. .
The facade of legitimacy that Putin has usually considered essential to the effectiveness of his approach is also a constraint on the Kremlin’s actions on a global scale. The Kremlin halted its offensive in Eastern Ukraine in 2014 at the limit of its “information border” — the point at which Russia ran out of information cover for hybrid promotion of its campaign — without openly participating in a full-scale military offensive against Ukraine. The Kremlin planned to capture six regions in Ukraine, but was only able to capture parts of two regions in part because the Kremlin greatly overestimated support for the idea of a “Russian world” among the Ukrainian population. This lack of support deprived the Kremlin of the information cover necessary to capture additional territories. As a result, Putin had to agree to a lesser goal, at least temporarily,
Some of Putin’s actions since 2014 have opened up additional vulnerabilities for Russia. For example, Putin’s turn to non-Western powers, especially China, to compensate for losses caused by the deterioration of relations with the West, may have unpleasant consequences in the long run. The imbalance of economic power between Beijing and Moscow is so great that Putin cannot be sure of his ability to prevent China from eventually imposing costs and restrictions that it does not want to accept in principle.
The Kremlin has faced numerous setbacks as a result of its restrictions, such as failing to prevent NATO expansion in the Balkans in 2017 (when Montenegro joined) and again in 2020 (with the admission of North Macedonia), despite the Kremlin’s efforts. The effectiveness of several key instruments of Russia’s foreign policy pressure, such as the Russian Orthodox Church and Russian energy exports, is also declining, as many countries try to limit their exposure to Russian influence.
Nevertheless, Putin continues to make progress — often in the blind spots of the West. Putin continues to provide additional influence in the former Soviet Union, as well as expanding Russia’s military presence and information influence around the world.
Putin is using forces that encourage the West to accept his achievements and ease the pressure on him. It accelerates the blurring of the memory of Russian aggression. It uses legitimate reasons, such as cooperation in the fight against terrorism, to draw countries into Russia’s initiatives and legitimize its malicious activities. It refocuses its opponents from their long-term interests and from the leverage they have with Russia to the short-term benefits or costs that the Kremlin can inflict on them. It benefits from a desire for a normal life in the West and an ingrained reluctance to pursue a confrontational policy towards Russia.
The West’s tendency to ignore Russia’s banal activities is another important opportunity for Putin. Slowly, imperceptibly, and often at a tactical level, the Kremlin usually creates the conditions for achieving strategic goals.
Another Western vulnerability is the tendency to mistake the Kremlin’s sloppiness and adaptability for opportunism. This propensity is partly explained by the fact that Putin does move quickly when he sees opportunities, and often jumps from one theater to another, which seems at odds with Western audiences who consider, for example, the middle East and the Baltic States as a whole. certain issues. In fact, Putin has consistently pursued the same goals for years. He has shown a willingness to accept losses in order to advance his larger efforts. The Kremlin’s means of achieving these goals are developed and improved to support them, although their implementation is often ineffective, poorly coordinated, and even counterproductive.
The West also needs to understand that when the West legitimizes the Kremlin’s narratives and aligns itself with its international framework, it is giving oxygen to Putin’s two main power amplifiers. Without this oxygen, Putin would probably have been brought closer to his size.
Putin’s efforts and adaptations after 2014
Since 2014, Putin’s efforts have increasingly focused on shaping, rather than simply destroying, an international environment that will promote Russia’s interests and provide the Kremlin with resources and legitimacy. Putin probably calculated that the long-term solution to deflect international pressure is to create an environment that accepts Russian principles and narratives and limits the need for enforcement measures against Russia.
The main areas of Putin’s efforts supporting this goal:
The creation of a favourable for Russia in the global information society and the expansion of information capabilities of the Kremlin. The battle for minds is Putin’s key battle. Russia’s national security paradigm shifted towards the information space around 2014, probably in response to the information successes and failures of its hybrid offensive against Ukraine, as well as to recognition of the growing need to shape an international narrative to advance Russia’s foreign policy. The Kremlin also estimates that the main threat to Russia’s sovereignty will arise in the information space – from attempts by the West to destabilize Russia from within by turning Russians against their government, as well as to undermine Russia’s influence in the world. The Kremlin has revised its information policy and increased its information operations and the scope of its information influence around the world. This area of influence is vast and goes beyond the media and Troll farms. Its goal is strategic. This is no longer an auxiliary effort, but the main attention. It is supported by both physical and informational means. Thus, it would be more accurate to define it as a perception space — the Kremlin’s efforts to promote certain narratives and create certain perceptions in support of its goals, or as an end in itself.
Expanding the security space around Russia without engaging in a costly arms race. Putin is purposefully expanding Russia’s military presence, reflecting the Kremlin’s assessment that Russia must restore its power without falling into the costly trap of an arms race. Thus, the Kremlin has made it a priority to create security coalitions to offset the limitations of Russia’s growing but still limited military presence. The Kremlin is using these security partnerships with other countries to gain strength for the Kremlin’s military campaigns, legitimize Russian intervention as part of international cooperation, and advance the Kremlin’s broader goals, such as restoring influence over former Soviet States.
Shrouding Russia in a web of coalitions and international organizations. Putin expands and links Russia’s formal and informal partnerships to shape the international agenda, resist Western pressure, and gain access to sources of money and legitimacy. Since 2014, Russia has signed hundreds of agreements in various fields-from media to military cooperation. Putin is also trying to attract the United States. For Putin, there is no contradiction in the fact that he wants to cooperate with the United States, trying to undermine the influence of the United States. The legitimacy granted by the US is Putin’s main strength booster in the short term, while reducing America’s overall influence remains Putin’s long-term goal.
Strengthening the supremacy of the UN Security Council (UNSC). The post-war order and Russia’s status as a permanent member of the United Nations Security Council (G5) are a key Foundation of Russia’s real and perceived power. The Kremlin is seeking both to revive G5 cooperation and to strengthen the primacy of the UN, where Russia has a veto in the Security Council as a key international arbiter. It is vitally important for Putin to retain these powers.
Diversification of foreign policy instruments and coalition building tools. The Kremlin has developed its own set of” nodes ” — legitimate reasons, such as counterterrorism efforts — that it uses to draw countries into Russian initiatives. These reasons are often not the primary goals of Kremlin propaganda, but rather ways to increase influence. Putin has broadened the General concept of sovereignty and is engaging countries through an expanded set of proposals related to “sovereignty,” such as financial or digital independence from the systems of the “hegemonic” West. Putin has developed his approach to the” Russian world ” — one of Putin’s main geopolitical constructs. He adjusted his rhetoric and tactics after Russia’s war in Ukraine led to a rebuff to the “Russian world”. Putin has also adapted how he uses the armed forces in the former Soviet Union; they are not his first or last resort. The Kremlin can use the real threat of military intervention, given the precedent it has set in Ukraine, to shape policy in the former Soviet Union without using force.
Investing in new bilateral relations while expanding Russia’s influence in peripheral theaters. After 2014, the Kremlin launched information campaigns in the middle East, Africa, Asia, and South America in search of influence, legitimacy, and resources.
The consolidation of power in Russia and promotion of “sovereignty»Of Russia. Putin compensates for the decline in his value proposition to the Russian people by increasing his control over Russia, increasing Russia’s isolation, especially from the global information space, and pushing Russian identity toward militaristic patriotism.
Recommendations
Putin’s sources of resilience and adaptability will allow him to maintain his regime and its international campaigns on the current trajectory for some time. Putin’s compensatory efforts don’t fundamentally change Russia’s strengths, but they do help Putin buy time while he tries to undermine anti-Russian efforts globally and gradually build influence in many theaters. However, Putin’s future achievements are not a given. Putin’s hand remains weak. The cost of preserving Putin’s power will only grow, as will the cost of his foreign adventures.
The US can take several steps to stop the Kremlin’s malicious activities and conquest:
Accept the complexity. The simplification of Putin’s regime to a “third-world dictatorship, a mafia-run gas station with nuclear weapons,” as some US officials have done, hides the nuances by which Russia is challenging the US and its allies. Putin achieves a lot through perception — in blind spots, the West is often unaware of its existence. Information operations, especially their cumulative effect over time, pose a real threat to Western societies. But this is not all speculation — we must not forget about the real power of Putin. The Kremlin sees its various efforts as a complex undertaking, and the West should counter them in the same way. The United States should focus not only on the tools of Russia’s malicious influence, but also on the strategic campaigns it supports. The United States should avoid bifurcating military and civilian frameworks,
To build the immune system against malicious activities of the Kremlin. Develop strategic intelligence capabilities in the United States and among American partners to detect Kremlin campaigns and perception manipulation at an early stage — before they lead to strategic gains. Track, prevent, and counteract the Kremlin’s efforts to destroy antibodies to its influence.
Save the dampers. Maintain sanctions and restrictions on legitimacy, such as access to international organizations, against Russia unless the Kremlin stops and reverses its belligerent actions. Prevent Putin from shifting his problems to someone else’s balance sheet, for example, by transferring financial responsibility for Russia’s illegal republics in Ukraine without restoring Ukraine’s sovereignty; or shifting Assad’s financial struggle to the balance of the international community.
Don’t let Putin’s false narratives become true. Constantly debunk the Kremlin’s false narratives and malicious actions to change perceptions. Strengthen international mechanisms to preserve the “truth.” Create a broad international coalition to investigate Russia’s violations of international law and the law of armed conflict.
Don’t give Putin legitimacy for his actions. Do not succumb to the Kremlin’s cooperation framework. Keep an eye on the new cooperation framework with Russia and violate it whenever possible. Recognize the vital importance of the Kremlin’s network of partnerships to Putin’s ability to strengthen Russia’s power. Compete with Putin on these international platforms, especially at the UN.
Help Ukraine win the fight against Russia’s attempts to regain its dominant influence in Ukraine’s decision-making process. Recognize that Ukraine is a major deterrent to Putin’s global ambitions, limiting the limited high-end resources that Putin would use elsewhere if he could. Work with European partners to prevent Putin from manipulating Ukraine and concluding a peace agreement on Russia’s terms, in particular to counter the Kremlin’s false narratives about Ukraine; and strengthen Ukraine’s reform efforts.
Test Putin’s commitment to his aggressive foreign policy by challenging him on several platforms.
Create coalitions to achieve all of the above. Make a bet on Europe, because this can significantly affect the international balance and the dynamics of solving the problem of Russia. Expand your coalition. Russia draws its legitimacy from the non-Western world.
Maintain an open exchange of information with Russia. Understanding why Putin exists as a phenomenon is no less important for understanding the threat he poses to the United States and its allies.
Notes.
1. Putin defined Russkiy Mir as ” the Union of all those who are spiritually connected with Russia and consider themselves native speakers of the Russian language, culture and history.”
2. in developing his policies, Putin has increasingly focused on making Russia independent from Western influence, including creating a “sovereign Internet” in Russia, reducing the use of the dollar, and fixing the priority of Russian laws over international laws in the Constitution. These efforts isolate Russia from the international community.

just read some parts, seems like the Pentagoons envy VVP more than anything, countries ‘sanctioned’ into not doing business with Russia is more to the point. As for the Pentagon thinking Putin is playing bad cards well, if it were Snap yes, but Putin the ‘phenomenon’ is not playing cards, he’s playing the real game of life. What they see as isolation is more self innoculation than anything, imo. And of course the whole thing reeks of fear on thier part no matter how they want to dress it.
Cheers, M
True, and playing to the propaganda too Sean. i.e. did you notice the influencer “advisor” to the US Kleptocrats referring to Russia as a “kleptocratic regime” !!. Also much more on “illegitimate annexation of Crimea” “invasion of Ukraine”, “aggression etc etc” ??
Everything they have to know full well they are doing all the time, and Russia — never!! Projection full on.
Playing to the gallery and basically with nothing to say I think. They are blind and lost in a dark alley, there’s a massive storm coming and they dont have so much as an umbrella and are, basically, losing their clean underpants!! ;
Interesting.
Thanks, Pamela, for this!
I missed this on cassad but I note the source: Institute for Study of War. (ISW)
http://www.understandingwar.org/who-we-are
Board is a list of the more rabid zionists, starting with Keane, frequent “guest” pundit for the DC blob.
ISW is one of the most rabid zionist and active war mongering “think” tanks with ready access to state and defense; president is one of the kagan war mongering clan, very well funded, and has staffed up significantly in the past few years. Indeed, kimberly kagan and her husband were key “advisors” to patraeus in afghan when he was in charge of that disaster. They were actually allegedly unpaid but had access of all key commo and were physically present in Afgah for several months. Access, indeed, to the war mongers.
ISW has been very active in daily reports on the Belyrus situation as well; just one of many that they have on their agenda list of “hot spots.” War pays very well.
I didnt know that about the ISW Taras 77. Thanks very much for the heads up.
Tends to indicate who it is who constantly wants war, doesn’t it?
Notice they still push “sanctions” as a means of controlling and attacking Russia?
Alexander Rodgers phrase “functioning morons” fits them so well, I think.
I’m picking up some ‘heads’ talking at the United Nations General Assembly. I’m way behind, but here is the ongoing livestream.

OK; and I caught Trump .. Oh boy. Oh dear. This man is on his way to war. Thjaaaina! Its all China’s fault. Oh boy. Its threat upon threat.
It starts at -2:17 after Trump brought his own booth babe to introduce him. Everyone else are happy to be introduced by the GA itself.
I don’t know folks. I am just completely stunned by these people that have no idea what they are doing to the rest of the world.
Cannot wait for Vladimir Putin, so that I can listen to some sense.
Mr Putin at -30 on the long live stream. Have not listened yet.
Did you catch V.V.? I have been sitting here most of the morning, then I missed the time and got the last 2 minutes.
Wonder where and when there will be a full translated version.
Have you found it Pamela … great and clear translation for a change. So wonderful not to be beaten with a bunch of threats.
Yes, thanks, I got it from a Russian site on my FB. Good translation, but rather bland speech I thought. I’m not surprised he didn’t bother to go there in person :-) Lots of “motherhood” statements, and what I wall “wallpaper” i.e. I’m here but I dont want to be noticed.
Well, he has his reasons I dont doubt.

A few China comments on Trump.
Discriminatory, Did the US President come to the UN for a quarrel, vulgar, full of loopholes, fooling only the American public, undisguised attempt at a new cold war, a destroyer, a creator of tensions, hysterical attack that violated the diplomatic etiquette a top leader is supposed to have, pays no heed to diplomacy, they believe power is everything, they want the agenda of the international community to serve US politics, and the UN General Assembly be turned into Trump’s presidential campaign.
“China stresses “doing its own things well.” In fact, the US should take this as its motto too. The US has performed so poorly in handling domestic affairs that reforms could barely be advanced. It has to pass the buck to digest the domestic anger. This is the sign of stagnation and the decline of a major power. It’s hoped the US government will not go further in this direction, which will only end up deceiving itself.”
“America is fulfilling our destiny as PEACEMAKER.”
I saw this headline on trump’s speech and could not get past it.
I wonder just how stupid trump and his writers think the world at large really is.
How can this be said with a straight face when the us has thugs such as pompass and his faithful companion elliot galloping around the world mongering for moar war, moar sanctions, etc against Iran and while nato is stepping up its military activity significantly on the borders of Russia and in the seas off China.
Peacemaker my A$$!
All things are relative….
…..for example……………………to Hillary…..Obama…..Mad Dog Mattis……General David Jones……….Tony Blair and his “Post Westphalian Order”….and their current “peaceful protestors”.
It is necessary to distinguish the differences between the above……and DJT and his Deplorable Base Tired Of Endless Wars ………………….as opposed to living in a world of endless uniform darkness and despair…..the proverbial “Night in Which All Cows Are Black.”
War???
Any bets???
Anyone falling for the peacemaker business should listen to this nonsense from Pompeo and friends, high and mighty in the current US administration. This came out yesterday, but I truly did not have the guts to post it or to say anything about it. Pompeo is pulling out the ‘weapons of mass destruction’ canard even in relation to Iran, and the masses of sanctions. He also sanctioned the ‘previous’ president of Venezuela – Maduro.
Peacemakers? This will convince you otherwise. My A$$! as well!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z09Jr0wxOE&feature=emb_logo
The only response I can think of to that is “Peacemakers? Oh, yes, you mean, like you were to the Plains Indians back in the day. And Northern Mexico, I believe, you brought lots of peace. then there’s the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, ”
You know, we all think we’ll pass.
“… we all think we’ll pass …”
Exactly.
Apropos of someone’s “recommendation to vote for Trump” a week or so ago here. Assange said in 2016: “Choosing between Trump or Clinton is like picking between cholera or gonorrhoea” :-) Exactly the same choice this time around. The only sensible thing is to skip voting, not to give legitimacy to a charade (and not to blame oneself for being duped).
Here is the transcript from Xi Jinping.
It seems as if Putin and Xi followed a peacemaker route .. explaining the ‘new world’ if you like. No fireworks, just a summary of the world today.

Just in case the musicians are riding too high….and the poets feel overshadowed…….or left in the earthly dust………..Butler in his essay Numerological Thought, further on maintains that, at least in Italy….
“Poetry indeed became for the Italian Humanist the most important and comprehensive of the arts. Ficino (1433-1499) tells us that:
….poetry is superior to music, since through the words it speaks not only to the ear but also directly to the mind. Therefore its origin is not in the harmony of the spheres, but rather in the music of the divine mind itself, and through its effort it can lead the listener directly to God himself.”
Before Ficino’s time there was Dante (Died 1321) and Petrarch (1304 – 1374) and I never read any other Italian poets.
Reinforcing Ficino’s point above, Keat’s Ode On A Grecian Urn springs prominently to mind with the line….
“Heard melodies are sweet, but those unheard
Are sweeter still; ”
And finally, to make peace among the arts in this 250th Anniversary Year of the Birth of Beethoven….they are combined……..(…Friedrich (poetry) and Ludwig (music)….) in the Ninth Symphony’s concluding Choral Movement:

Don’t know that much about Riccardo Muti except that he’s Italian and seems to at least be probably quadri-lengual,as he narrates the above recording of his own conducting of the Choral (4th) Movement of Beethoven’s Ninth, in English. SO:
1) Italiano
2) English
3) Deutsche …..assuming he knows at least several times the words of Schiller/Beethoven in the Ode to Joy……from conducting other music with German lyrics…and finally:

Since One Quarter of a Millennium……… is a heck of an Anniversary!
Bro, it’s difficult to find another medium that expresses ideas so clearly as that found in the lines of poetry, hence the means in which sacred scriptures are written. Poetry utilises music, melody, rhythm to help put an idea in the mind. Poetry thus, is a reflection of the Music of the Spheres, which Keats referred to in the line you’ve quoted, “Heard melodies are sweet, but unheard melodies are sweeter still…” and man’s redemption lies in the Sound Current, or Music of the Spheres, ( terms that refer to Divine Spirit, the other aspect being Light ).The mind generally resists being forced into anything, but it can be led, and poetry and music are excellent ways to bring ideas to the attention that the mind prefers to avoid, so the Italians knew what they were talking about.
Well said, Dimitar! Expansive concepts of what poetry is…..beyond verses per se!
Now, something perhaps controversial (?) to contemplate further….and perhaps use….or attempt to employ, purposefully, in harmony with your beautifully expressed point…. to include more Cafe patrons …..as “poets”:
Butler’s essay quoting Plato, Ficino and others is the just the first essay in a collection of TEN “essays in numerological analysis”….edited by Alastair Fowler, Brasenose College, Oxford.
I’ll get back to TEN later, if my intention to complete my first re-reading of this collection of essays is not waylaid, this autumn, begun today. TEN seems to be fundamental….and is introduced early in that first Essay by Butler thusly
“The Pythagoreans greatest respect was kept for the ‘divine tetraktus’ , the number 10 considered as the sum of 1, 2, 3, 4, In its triangular form it became a sacred symbol by which they swore, in their initiation ceremonies. Its importance was due to Pythagoras’ greatest and most influential discovery.”
That connection (3-4-5 right triangle??? 3 points each face of the pyramid, 4 points to the base….5 points in total……Where is 10???) seems QUITE esoteric.
I can’t say I “get it” …yet! Maybe with further study……..
One thinks of Silent Poetry……..in Paul’s pyramids and mundos “lights” in the night sky which were “Harmonies” to Johannes Kepler….and other Poets (by other names of professions) that “heard” their numerical, metrical ordering.
Fowler writes the preface, one of the essays and collaborates with Douglas Brooks in writing another of the ten entitled, “The Structure of Dryden’s A Song For St Cecilia’s Day, 1687” which is full of astronomy….and music….in a quick glance at it:

The Title of the Collection?
The Silent Poetry
Ironically enough, I always think of the title as being; Number, The Silent Poetry.
Tellingly, and most fittingly the “Number” part is not seen in the title……(just “numerological analysis”..appears in the sub-title..but nevertheless “Number” IS heard, that is…..thought in my mind, at least, and practically “out loud”, for that matter, when I think of this collection, not “numerological”…..as I have thought about it re reading it occasionally for the past 3 years…… wondering where my wife put it.
It was in a box, out in the garage.
NAVALNY, PEVCHIKH ARE BARKING DOGS; MERKEL AND NORD STREAM-2 ARE THE CARAVAN WHICH MOVES ON
Navalny’s dogs were barking, but their caravan had failed to start according to plan. The BBC has demonstrated what that plan was.
The last time the BBC rehearsed in advance such an elaborate propaganda operation inside Russia was the Pussy Riot episode of February 2012.
