There is lots of angst in the Western public about predicted reprisals by the Taliban against translators and/or other co-workers with the Western forces, despite the Taliban pledging not to do so after final victory (maybe some cases beforehand, I don’t know). There is long precedent for such actions as killing or expelling allies of the beaten-off foreign forces, such as when 150,000 mehti were killed after the French withdrawal from Algeria in 1963, or the Austrian massacres of Russians in Galicia and Turkish massacres of Armenians, both after retreats of Russian troops in World War I, or the expulsion of 16,000,000 Germans from eastern European countries (that they had lived in for centuries) after World War II. Too many examples to count. What is astounding is that the Taliban actually promised not to do the same, and it is in the interests of Russia and others to hold them to it, even if Western media have to make up stories.
I posted a similar point in the previous article. Considering the talibs were attacked under the pretext of a monstrous lie and suffering a massive bombing and murderous occupation force for twenty years. In fact, when Morm Chormsky was interviewed by hardtalk after the invasion he described it as, ‘one of the most immoral wars of recent history’.
Is their any parallel in recent history to the conduct the talibs are displaying with their takeover and defeat of Natoo? The general amnesty and reaching out to diverse sections of their land. Even pardoning collaborators and former officials closely linked to the intelligence of the occupation. They are turning enemies into allies. They are countering Western perfidy with dignity. Not eye for an eye but mercy over revenge.
The swift judo move Putin executed during the Ukraine fascist coup was impressive and smooth. But Russia is a superpower with top notch intelligence. Crimea wasn’t under immoral bombardment or occupation. Nevertheless, it was a master chess move.
Reading through diverse material, observers are impressed with the manner of treatment a grudgingly victorious force has displayed. Despite what a person believes in, this watershed moment is something to be impressed by.
They are media stories only, they report what they are told. It makes it look like western public have an opinion, have never seen that taken into account, see; Kent State. Betrayals and stories of such are to soothe that same public opinion, get it ready for the next round of slaughter. Are the Taliban as patient as say, Russia? I think they are………who wants to live in caves and play dodgeabomb day after day. The Taliban have had twenty years to study, watch, learn, so has Russia btw. Add China into that. The Massoud angle, just shows how pathetic the US is, ‘lets have the Afghanis slaughter themselves for the next……..’ That needs addressing.

Shame, an overhaul
Is long, long overdue ?
Azerbaijan / Turkey Update: Azeri “Peacekeepers” in Kabul have been increased to at least 500 this week.
They have been seen flying in on Civillian Turkish Airliners.
Officially there are “only” 120 Azeri “Peacekeepers” based at Kabul airport, supporting Turkish troops mostly:
https://caspiannews.com/news-detail/azerbaijani-peacekeepers-remain-in-kabul-international-airport-to-ensure-its-security-2021-8-17-0/
However, as many observers on the ground have reported via Twitter, Instagram, and other social media feeds this week, that all NATO countries with a contingent in Kabul have increased thier presence this week. This includes non-NATO forces allied to NATO (such as Azerbaijan).
After the British set the precent for restarting operations outside Kabul airport earlier this week after there so called “break out” (they just opened the gates and drove out with the Taliban awaving waving them out), other nations have begun to span out from the airport too on “rescue missions”.
The US has even flown in x3 “little birds” (Night Stalker Helicopters) and some other Spec-Op equipment for over the wall operations:
https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/42075/night-stalker-special-ops-helicopters-now-in-kabul-could-be-critical-to-evacuation
Some astute observers have also counted out a different number of troops to those returning – suggesting that deployments / insertions are being in parts of Kabul (or resistance fighters resupplied / false flag being prepared).
Important –
There is now a global propaganda plan in play to engender support for “Peace Keepers” (alligned to NATO of course) to remain in Afghanistan to protect the children from the “bad Taliban” who are “hunting down” anyone who worked with NATO.
It appears that as Turkey has been “outed” as the planned Peacekeeprs, a plan which has been rejected by the Taliban, troops from Azerbaijan are being set up to take on this role.
This blatent piece of propaganda from “The Times of India” should give anyone with eyes to see an idea of where this headed:
https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/videos/international/watch-azerbaijan-troops-help-kids-over-the-walls-at-kabul-airport/videoshow/85558201.cms
More propaganda (and predictive programming) from the Anadolu News Agency (official youtube channel video):
https://youtu.be/6h4vXk0BivE
Also, towards the border regions with Iran, and also near Panjisir, there has been a report that Azeri troops (or Turkish) have set up Turkish style “observation posts” – but this is yet to be confirmed. Turkey is however further militarising its border with Iran on the other side – ostensibly to protect against “Refugees”:
https://www.dailysabah.com/politics/diplomacy/turkish-forces-tighten-measures-for-eastern-border-security
NATO press conference gives a few hints of what may be coming:
https://www.nato.int/cps/en/natohq/opinions_186088.htm
Also interesting –
“It is unclear if Turkish and Azerbaijani troops will leave Afghanistan after the completion of the evacuation or if they will remain and work within the confines of the new reality in the country”.
https://www.caspianpolicy.org/security-and-assistance-to-the-end-azerbaijan-and-turkeys-role-in-the-evacuation-of-afghanistan/
Looks like NATO now intend to use Azerbaijan as there “insiders” and “place holders” as Turkish troops are being increasingly outed and warned against staying.
@Crazy Times
Thanks for comments and links.
@Crazy Times
Excelent links and comments. I just failed to find Taliban angle on “observers” and plans for the future.
Without that, everything looks like wishfull thinking or, highly likely, yet another round of damage control.
Taliban already stressed that they will let go anyone who wants to, and also invited those who already fled to come back. It is not in the Afghanistan’s interest to chase away the most educated part of the society. Intelectuals do not cooperate well with Sharia state, but will they act as western fifth column? Not likely.
First, country is recently sterilized from corrupted scum for years to come. Second, everyone in Afganistan, including those who worked for US, is joyfull to see them out. They see Taliban as liberators.
Third, there is no huge US embassy.
Taliban will surely go for Chinese IT infrastructure, which means no malignant influence over net. (doubt US is able to do inteligence anymore without hightech support.)
Knowing western attention span of an goldfish, Taliban will wait couple of months smiling, and then crush remnants of fifth column, without making much noise.
Someone who is trying to do “insertions” in such enviroment only shows total disrespect for the lives of his soldiers.
Taking into account speed of retreating, throwes of sensitive info on paper and devices was forgotten. Now they are trying to collect whatever they can, before Taliban find it. That is far more likely than “saving helpless children”.

The Twain Shall Never Meet
Got two left feet, it’s always a fight,
No matter how much I feel the beat.
I’m out on the floor but it just ain’t right –
No, the twain they never shall meet.
I had me a dream, I had me some gold,
I felt like making it all concrete.
I put them together but lo and behold –
The twain they never would meet!
I had me a rod, I had me a reel,
I had me a ring to make it complete.
I had me a mind to ink the deal –
But the twain they never could meet.
I had me a lover, I had me a friend;
The friend was bitter, the lover was sweet.
I had me a lover, I had me a friend –
But the twain they never did meet!
Got two left feet, it just ain’t right;
I feel like I’m stuck on endless repeat.
As long as day follows night…
The twain they never shall meet.
a vision not to see others faults
and for my defects a talent to see
Those who love me, love me for what I am,
Those who hate me, hate me for what I am not…
Have any truer words than these been spoken?
All war begins in the minds of men, since It is
Soul’s nature to give of Itself without judgement
or desire for reward.
Fight for the sake of duty,
treating alike – happiness and distress,
loss and gain,
victory and defeat.
Fulfilling your responsibility in this way,
you will never incur sin.
– Bhagavad Gita
Most religions, believes that war is undesirable and avoidable because it involves killing fellow humans. However, it recognizes that there can be situations when waging war is a better path than tolerating evil.
The story of Arjuna, the fabled bowman of the Mahabharata, brings out Lord Krishna’s view of war in the Gita. The great battle of Kurukshetra is about to begin. Krishna drives Arjuna’s chariot drawn by white horses into the centre of the battlefield between the two armies. This is when Arjuna realizes that many of his kinsmen and old friends are among the ranks of the enemy, and is appalled by the fact that he is about to kill those he loves. He is unable to stand there any longer, refuses to fight and says that he does not “desire any subsequent victory, kingdom, or happiness.” Arjuna questions, “How could we be happy by killing our own kinsmen?” Krishna’s advice to Arjuna forms the rest of the rest of the Gita, at the end of which, Arjuna is ready to go to war.
This is also where karma, or the Law of Cause & Effect comes into play. Swami Prabhavananda interprets this part of the Gita and comes up with this brilliant explanation: “In the purely physical sphere of action, Arjuna is, indeed, no longer a free agent. The act of war is upon him; it has evolved out of his previous actions. At any given moment in time, we are what we are; and we have to accept the consequences of being ourselves. Only through this acceptance can we begin to evolve further. We may select the battleground. We cannot avoid the battle… Arjuna is bound to act, but he is still free to make his choice between two different ways of performing the action.”
“We cannot avoid the battle… Arjuna is bound to act, but he is still free to make his choice between two different ways of performing the action.”
Dear friend, there is another way. The third way is the way of no-power, or non-power. Divine Spirit is omnipresent and Soul is made in ITs image – not one or two Souls, but every Soul – however, Soul, it Its limited or non-aligned state, can do very little. God’s presence is everywhere, therefore it does not matter whether Soul walks through Heaven or Hell, once It knows that God is by Its side. The purpose of the Negative Power therefore, is to keep Soul ignorant of Its true nature.
How does the negative power achieve this? It does it be keeping Soul’s attention on the things of this world, things outside Itself, and which Soul of Itself, can do very little about. It duly serves up a parade of outrages thereby polarising Soul’s attention on the things of this world. To raise one’s consciousness – the aim being to rise above and ultimately establish one’s self on a level beyond where one’s problem, or the problems of the world for that matter originate – and from that standpoint, allow the Divine Power to reach through one’s self and make the necessary changes as IT sees fit.
One can act outwardly as one sees fit, but this inner shift of awareness is necessary, should one wish to be effective from a spiritual level. To raise one’s consciousness, one must positively withdraw one’s attention from the outer picture to the inner terrain and work to establish Itself there. Once It’s done this, Its entire experience becomes transformed.
Dear friend Dimitar, you have answered your own question as to what needs to be done with one’s life which would be through “the third way, which is the way of no-power, or non-power”.
Every person at any given point of time is the accumulation of past deeds, whether beneficial or malignant, therefore, if one is ‘aware’, life can be a continuous battle moving forward. After all how can we know which portion of our consciousness is positive and for good, or not. Thus, there is a constant struggle and a battle to destroy negativity this can only be achieved through equanimity of thoughts and mind, whilst foregoing the fruits of our actions.
You’ve said well, Sudhi, and just to reiterate, we’re drawn into that battle every day on some level. If we become aware of a third way, that also becomes another option in our toolkit. Experience should teaches us to be smarter, the result being we slowly get control of the reactive mind. Thanks for your thoughts and sharing, D.
Dear Dimitar, the ‘third way’ could also be interpreted as ‘bhakti yoga’ as mentioned by Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, which is the best suited for seekers during this age and time. Shree Krishna emphasizes that the path of devotion (bhakti) is the highest among all types of spiritual practices.
“The Spiritual Battle and Ultimate Victory in Everyday Life
The timeless message of the Bhagavad Gita does not refer only to one historical battle, but to the cosmic conflict between good and evil: life as a series of battles between Spirit and matter, soul and body, life and death, knowledge and ignorance, health and disease, changelessness and transitoriness, self-control and temptations, discrimination and the blind sense-mind….
The devotee should analyze his daily mental and physical actions to determine just how much of his life is ruled by the ego’s ignorance (delusion) and body consciousness, and how much he is able to express of the soul’s wisdom and divine nature.
Yoga meditation is the process of cultivating and stabilizing the awareness of one’s real nature, through definite spiritual and psychophysical methods and laws by which the narrow ego, the flawed hereditary human consciousness, is displaced by the consciousness of the soul.
Each person has to fight his own battle of Kurukshetra. It is a war not only worth winning, but in the divine order of the universe and of the eternal relationship between the soul and God, a war that sooner or later must be won.”
Paramahansa Yogananda
Thanks for bringing up the Bhagavad Gita Sudhi.
Arjuna is an ayurvedic medicine for the heart and similarly in Yogananda’s interpretation the Gita is a metaphor of the inner battle within the heart. Those who really commit themselves to this battle will always have the divine guidance as Arjuna had with Krishna.
Thank you Anomalous for your understanding. Swami Vivekananda translated Chapter 4, Verse: 7-8 of of Bhagavad Gita, thusly –
“Whenever virtue subsides and wickedness prevails, I manifest Myself. To establish virtue, to destroy evil, to save the good I come from Yuga (age) to Yuga.”
“Every something, being blent together,
turns to a wild of nothing…” Shakespeare

For all those who followed Vesti News on YouTube I have very good news that after a year Vesti News is back. First video is Navalny: fake poisoning – Exclusive – The Patient, Part 1. I’m very happy they are back, and hope they will continue. They should have a backup channel on Bitchute in case YouTube censors them.
Kick-ass comeback for Vesti news. Thanks so much for the update. They haven’t posted for over a year.
The Patient… only the Russians could do this multi-layer satire. The set design, the mannequins, all of it. Can’t wait to see part 2.
Great news for the small but growing (?) Rus TV junkies over here, who have been seriously “jonesing”. I mean, Zvezda is wonderful but Vesti has been sorely missed! Vesti’s view #’s are pretty good considering the time lapse, not to mention how much censoring YT has been doing lately.
For the musicians in house, just heard of Charlie Watts passing……RIP Charlie.
Charlie will gather no moss, no matter where he goes… Blessings.
“The WEF knows very well that children need to play, socialize and communicate with other children to develop properly. However, they do not want children to develop properly. That’s the scary, terrifying truth about their agenda. They’re looking to deny vital elements of a child’s development in order to create the kind of human they want living in their dystopian society.”

I wholeheartedly believe it’s true.
Already very young children have way excessive screen time.
Now no parent can resist with the online -stay at home- lessons.
By training the children they will have transformed society and “normal” within 10 years.
——-
I’ll be recounting a family escapade from my childhood. I’ll get to a certain juncture in the story- and someone will interject _ why didn’t you just phone?
And I’ll say…. mobile phones didn’t exist- and the nearest landline was 100s of miles away”.
And the look of complete incomprehension- even on faces of old farts….. shows me how “normal” can change without anyone realising.
Left a pic, Pharmageddon, on the new jabber page. Pity those children
Cheers, M
Strangely enough, Switzerland is one country which is still high up the list of places where children DO get to play, socialise and communicate with other children.

One commentator said he has since “ceased to feel sorry for the Japanese who died in Hiroshima and Nagasaki”. His comment has been liked by two other readers as of this writing.
Days ago (I think it was the 20th) Russian news outlets ran news of Japan’s plans to use biological warfare against the Soviet Union in 1945, also leaked by the FSB. Even then I struggled to find any commentators who could tell elites (perpetrators of germ warfare, esp. in Unit 731) and ordinary civilians (victims of nukes) apart.
I don’t know what to do, think or say at this point.
What is with some people that they lump the actions of a government with the mentality of the citizens? Or is it just trolls (again)?
Does Putin’s condemnation of the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki still apply to this day?
Addendum: Another commentator in the same article points out that this was taught in high schools during the Soviet era. Given that, I can’t remember it hindering any post-war Soviet-Japanese cooperation, notwithstanding any USian occupational forces that would’ve done that already.
We knew about it, Japanese Germwar on SU and Chine in WW2 and in Korea, in California schools in the 1950’s…but not from curriculum. We knew it from our relatives and teachers and JROTC instructors, who knew from their time in the war. It was part of the pedagogy of the time, but never a formal part.
In WW2 the Japanese had a program to send over to America high altitude balloons using the jet stream in the stratosphere, loaded with germ warfare material. After WW2 the US took over the experiments. Secret things with high altitude balloons were probably responsible for the Rosswell incident.
The US also had a programme for high altitude balloons with a pressurised gondola which the pilot would parachute out of from the edge of the atmosphere.
Yes, the condemnation is still active. The best way for me to see these things is to follow the Twitter stream of the Russian MFA. They seem to be in a mode to reveal secrets these days.
https://twitter.com/mfa_russia
And I had some stuff about this in a previous China Sitrep .. /sitrep-here-comes-china-buried-lies-betrayals-viruses-nukes-and-a-plasma-sun/
Read from Daniel Ellsburg through to Jeffrey Kay and the document there .. the ISC report.
I kinda knew about the USA’s adoption of Unit 731 biowarfare and usage thereof as weapons against China and Korea. But then, how many in Russia know about it? And would it make a certain faction thereof think twice before praising the USA’s nuking of H & N? (It’s as if to say “USA’s war crimes are bad, unless they’re good”. But I digress.)
On another note, what was Stalin’s own opinion of the nuclear bombings? Did he oppose/condemn them like Mao and Putin have? (Another person and I have discussed the Soviets being the real target of the nukes before, that needs no introduction.)
Mr P posted a video by Max and Stacy in the sidebar. I’ve kinda grew tired of them, but this is a good one and they’re talking about the old MacKinder’s concept of the ‘world island’ and how the puzzle pieces fit for today and how Afghanistan opens up roads in the ‘world island’.
So, a few things can be tied to that conversation. There is no more ‘influence’ and what there is, can hardly be peddled.
Lavrov made a direct statement, saying “Russia has no desire to see US forces in Central Asia”. There is a little more there about a request from the Biden admin to use these countries for bases after withdrawal from Afghanistan. So, this also just went wrong because the Collective Security Treaty Organization stopped that.
The way I understand this is that the US and NATO wanted to continue controlling Afghanistan, but from the surrounding countries (bombing and droning and peddling influence). If this is accurate (and I think it is), the US/NATO overreached to the point that they lost all of their influence.
https://tass.com/politics/1329509
And talking about influence, the Harris person is getting just absolutely nowhere with her visit to Vietnam and surroundings. There is no more influence there. Apparently, she had a ‘Havanna syndrome’ experience, but I think she was just terrified!
https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202108/1232365.shtml
(I sense a certain terror in those climes .. the Biden/Harris/Psaki climes).
And today, the Afghanistan banks are re-opening. I wonder if they have women working in banks? because the invitation is for all staff to come back and take up their jobs again.
https://tass.com/world/1329573
I was astonished that the intrepid duo had been unaware of MacKinder, but glad to see their ignorance somewhat dispelled. Not “tired” of them, but they’re not very relevant… Peter Lavelle is about the same, but I do wish Dima had an interview show…1 on 1 like “The Day at Night” (a discontinued US TV show). Dima smart and educated and good fella. Constructive dialogue far better than confrontational format.
See the LA Fire department video I placed at sidebar news feed.
US Cops are one group, but they’re more or less cowards…imagine a job that makes you wear body armor and trains you to shoot first. But also imagine a job that means running into the burning buildings to save babies… Two very different groups. And at the fire-house? Men dedicated to serving helpless people get to, ah, “discuss matters”…and draw rational analytic conclusions.
The “Frisco Fire Department has hanged criminals…in public. no kidding. Ran the city for 2 years.
In LA we’re going to see sparks.
And let’s not forget that Pelosi’s foolish nephew is about to get dis-elected, as the Northern parts seek secession.

Meantime @ Anoxia? Very few masks. Nobody seems to obey. Things are normal, but expensive. Cop radio quiet except for the ordinary petty crimes of poverty.
That Los Angeles Fire Department video is brutal. I encourage everyone to watch it.
I’ve seen those guys in action, big time. Koreatown, 1998, a sweltering summer night. They were working on a busted waterline a block away, when a car of partying kids ran a red light and was broadsided by a car 20 meters in front of me. I slowed down to go around half a dozen wrecked cars, glass everywhere, stunned. Down the street come the fire guys, all five of them, running to the wreck scene to help. Clearing the area, doing whatever first aid they could, etc. Not many cellphones in ordinary cars to call the ambulance in those days. That scene has stuck with me ever since. I think the Fire Departments in this country have a thing or two to teach the other government agencies, all of them, about public service and public relations. (Got friends who fight the wildfires out here also… those firefighters take their jobs as seriously as special forces, it seems to me, at least out here.)
And today, by the downtown fire station, a young fireman in uniform taking a break was playing “Scotland the Brave” on bagpipes. There’s a lot of real guts in a lot of these guys, I could go on. Thanks for the link, I’ll share it ’round.
Bagpipes playing a tune similar to one heard two hours ago in front of a fire station in a fairly large American city:

I learned a new term and believe Jordan Peterson coined it (not that that fact is important and ymmv). The term makes a lot of sense for today. We see ‘ideological possession’. I don’t want to be ideologically possessed. The explanation is that one does not even have to listen too closely as you know what a person of this nature will say next. There is little thinking as they just perform the function of a conduit from something to you. I would rather do the hard work of thinking, fall into the pitfalls, crawl through the times of hardship, and truly enjoy the times of beauty.
Good term overall – better than NPC – non playing/playable character – but something is moving it. If you do not move yourself, you will be moved.
Hi amarynth. just read your ‘wave length’ post on the jabber page. I didn’t realize the google pics wont open, that sucks, and of course I lack the techie know how to correct that, sucks indeed………but on that note, I read something yesterday vis a vis Revelations, and the ‘signs’ some see the sores from the new experimental drug therapy as one of the signs, the first one, and then totally non religious sis sent me this…hmm.

Did you catch the bait and switch Pfizer and the FDA pulled yesterday with the new injectable therapy called Comirty, sis calls it Comorbity. They will still produce the old clot shot and continue to use it until enough ‘morbity’ is ready for market.
OK, remember the Australians and the horrors reported from their soldiers in Afghanistan? Here is some more but US:
‘Killing for the sake of killing’: Disillusioned US drone pilots leak footage of air strikes against unarmed Afghans, media says
“The footage, published on Tuesday as part of an investigation by military news outlet Connecting Vets, reportedly reveals how successive US administrations and defense strategists relaxed the rules of engagement in Afghanistan – as part of a policy to pressure the Taliban to the negotiating table.
However, drone operators interviewed by the outlet claimed the loosened rules around air strikes served “no point” and did not “make a difference” – with one pilot stating that it was “killing for the sake of killing.” The strikes also reportedly killed far more civilians than the Pentagon has admitted.”
Amarynth,
“Killing for the sake of Killing”. Over several years I make occasional comments based upon my life’s experiences. At 74 I’ve had a few. Others here are 74+ and I’m sure and also can draw upon many things their life has presented. Being a US Army draftee at 18 years old in 66′ and landing in the Nam mess as an Infantry Grunt, I understand that there are those who will kill because “they can”. I was NOT one of those. I did see them though, and some joined the military because in their words, “they could legally kill another human being”. Some used this “loophole” to take out their rage at being dumped in a relationship. Sad but true. Someone in my life in the early 2000’s “pulled the trigger” in drone warfare in Afghan and it devastated them when it sunk in what they had done. The “Empire” cares not. They present a “video game” with deadly endings in a game that everyone loses.
I saw death firsthand and still find it hard to accept now as it did then. It was like all emotion ended.
War is no longer fought where the “King” leads the battle. For centuries now it is us “lessers” who are the point of “their” spear. Drone warfare is a video game where real people, many innocents die.
It is a hard road to civility in human affairs. As bad as things seem, I think we have turned a corner to such. “They” seem to be frantic to crush us now.

Steve, you always have my greatest admiration for being able to spell it out so clearly.
Your own integrity shines through. Growing up in the dark of Africa, there are still stories that I cannot tell. I admire you for being able to tell your story and put the perspective right there.

I can’t post a catch pharse from a Japanese Minimalist T-shirt,
‘Cute but Psycho’
?
seriously… this bad?!
Not sure what makes it ‘Japanese’ – was it written in Japanese or English? Care to elaborate?
I made a commment on ‘ideological possession’… can you connect the dots?!
nuff said xD
So far ‘amarynth’ was the only other person to mention ‘ideological possession’.
Having never heard the term before, I managed to find this article:
https://fee.org/articles/the-diagnosis-and-treatment-of-ideological-possession/
And even then I still can’t make the connection with Japan, let alone figure out what is being insinuated (if any). Sorry.
sigh :) dear Digby, you are sincere in your questioning… though I guess you are from USA?!
okie I will honor that :)
Japanese Minimalist is a culture or sub-culture recently emerged in Japan,
where japan ppl, young ppl, who suddenly woke up to the fact they are working like robots and obey everything but will never get a decent life
they will never get to buy a apartment, they may never even get to rent a decent room, ever in a city, far more to say they will ever save enough to get married
so they are cursed to be single until death…
these group of ppl, young ppl, mostly very smart and turn inward and hv the religious awakening moment, they dont need to own ANYTHING as they came to this world w Nothing! thus minimalist… all they need is a steady income, good health and some hobby/friends. totally minimalist.
if you visit them, chances are, at ther door, you can see everything, as it is not only one room, everythng is packed inside it. there is only one cup since there is only one person living inside it. so if there is a guess coming, either they meet outside or the host need to buy paper cups. There is only one proper cup for one person living there. minimalist!
and these bunch design some of the most thought provoking catch phrase and print them on T-shirt – its alwasy a white/black and w minimal words on it. of course in Japan itd be in japanese, but the asian culture caught on that and Japan exports lots of stuff here too. these ppl pride they high inttelectuals.
so the one I saw is in english but clearly a Japanese minimalist catch-phrase t-shirt.
so aren’t the whole usa-crowd trance under the ‘cute but psycho’ ‘ideological possession’?
clearer now?

Ar-hah. Was wondering what the Ukrainian “hijacked” plane that wasn’t actually hijacked was all about.
While its true that Nichols II was far from the ideal ruler for Russia. Russia did make a lot of progress during his rule:
History lessons. Nicholas II was born on May 18, 1868
Emperor All-Russian (1894-1917)
State revenues increased from 1.4 billion rubles , up to 3.1 billion rubles between 1897 and 1912.
The Russian ruble remained one of the strongest currencies in the world. Even in the years of the Russian-Japanese war and revolution of 1905-1907, the exchange of credit tickets for gold continued.
The total amount of taxes per country was twice lower than in Austria-Hungary, France, Germany, and quadruple less than in England.
From 1890 to 1913, productivity in industry quadrupled.
Russia’s share in global GDP for 1913 was 6.18 % (fifth place in the world). In 2000, this indicator was only 2.1 %.
According to the total volume of industrial production, Russia ranked 5-6th in the world.
In 1913, Russia’s gold stock was more than 100 % the coverage of their paper money.
By the number of marriages, Russia won the first place in the world.
By 1913, Russia becomes the world’s largest oil producer and exporter.
Russia ranked third in the world in terms of population.
In Russia, from 1890 to 1913, the length of roads increased by 32 times.
Nikolai Second built the world’s greatest railway, the Trans-Siberian.
Well uncle bob,
When you explain it like that. I understand why he needed to be taken to a back room and shot.
#$ 1913 also being the year of the Creature from Jekyll Island…. aka the Federal Reserve Bank.

I just noticed RT has switched to Disqus for its commenting system. Thoughts?
Disqus was bought by Zeta Global. Why do they use a political strategist if not to sway elections along with their regular spying? I do not use them since Zeta took over.
The following is from 2017…
Zeta bought Disqus they track you with their AI and a political strategist based in D.C. Political consultants sometimes act as political strategists, a senior political consultant who promote the election of certain candidates or the interests of certain groups. Which groups will Disqus users be helping?
Disqus commenting platform sold to big data and analytics firm Zeta Global
by Martin Brinkmann on December 06, 2017 in Internet – 44 comments
Big data and analytics company Zeta Global announced that it has acquired the commenting platform Disqus.
Data is stored on Disqus servers, and the company has been criticized for its user tracking activities. The company suffered two major security breaches, one in 2013 and another in October 2017. A snapshot of a database containing 17.5 million user email addresses, login dates and sign-up dates was copied according to Disqus in the latest breach.

Reading the RT item on Heels Up Harris placing a floral tribute on John McCain’s memorial in Vietnam. (It was not a memorial to McCain – it was to the Vietnamese who brought his plane down after he bombed them over 20 times. Mod.)
(Yes. I do feel nauseous as a result).
Anyway.
Found this in the comment section. And it seems the new system is not appreciated by all.

“SURE YOU ARE… LOL!!!
Why RT would do this once again shows how far they have “fallen”.
No longer independent.
Can’t say I’m surprised that some would dislike the new Disqus system already. Sites like Anti-Empire, the Duran and Southfront had already abandoned their respective Disqus systems months (?) prior to yesterday. And on top of that, the move to a new system means the comments in articles published within even the past week can’t be seen.
Mod: Thanks for the correction.
Prompted me to look more closely.
A quick duckgoog has about 30 US news sites referencing a Harris visit to the “John McCain monument”.
Here’s Fox(!) as just one of the pack
Kamala Harris visits John McCain monument in Vietnam, 3 years after his death
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/kamala-harris-john-mccain-monument-vietnam-3-years-after-death
Not that I am claiming US news sites as reliable sources!
I did think a monument commemorating McCain in Vietnam was grotesque/gauche..But also plausible, given the hagiography of McCain, and the possibility the US, or the McCain Institute may have funded such a monstrosity.
Anyway, Harris trying to score points by using the “sacred” site to stage a photo op has fired up Megan McCain.!,
Meghan McCain rips Harris for leaving her dad flowers, not focusing on Afghanistan
https://nypost.com/2021/08/26/meghan-mccain-rips-kamala-harris-for-not-focusing-on-afghanistan/
I’m sure there would have been a time, years ago, when image managers would have cautioned against the “optics” of visiting Vietnam, right at a time when the US was failing so spectacularly in Afghanistan.!
Something heartfelt

Anonymous, the mods cannot act as a mailbox or a post office. They are correct here.
You can send me stuff by email (it is separate from all of the other Saker emails – please note it is not a saker site mailbox and there are reasons for that like the little concept of degrees of separation) or you can post yourself.
The community site was always meant to take overflow from here (food, gardens, now the covid and vaxx stuff and things of life separate from geo-politics), and keep this main site with the main focus as a geo-political site. The Saker holds to this principle and I support him in that decision. The other sites have the freedom to do what they want and what seems right for them. The one principle that keeps this going is that we are all in one way or another working against the current hegemony.
So feel free to post there. Once things look fine, I put people on non-moderated which saves me a lot of time and hassle.
Having said all that, there is a bunch of new stuff on the Chatter and Jabber thread.

Anyways, on to work.
If a Country is invaded by a Hegemon, and if some of the citizens of that invaded Country collaborate willingly and for money, what do we call them?

Why would this hypothetical Hegemon wish to “rescue” such people?
Does the Devil love his Subjects?
In an entirely different matter, why “rescue” these fine people who have been so good and helpful, from Afnamistan?
This is, imho, a serious question. Quiz Friday (hint, a Cathode pops into existence when an anode occurs.)
Extra Credit> Make a list of the ways Afghan Quislings might serve Hegemon in the future. Recall the Cuban “rescue”, the “Nationalist Chinese on Taiwan, and let’s not forget the White Russians in attendance at Roosevelt’s death.

The Taliban has claimed credit for tipping off NATO forces about a potential terrorist plot targeting Hamid Karzai international airport. The would-be bomb attack was meant to discredit them, an official said.
An “imminent attack” in Kabul airport hatched by Islamist militants was reported earlier by the British Armed Forces Minister James Heappey, who called the intelligence “very, very credible”.

Militants planning ‘imminent, lethal attack’ on Kabul airport warns UK minister
Zabihullah Mujahid, who holds the office of Information Minister in the Taliban-installed government in Afghanistan, told the Russian media that his organization was the source of the information. The threat was not specific, he said in an interview, but the plan was to provoke chaos and violence at the airport and hurt the Taliban’s reputation.
“Over the last 20 years we have learned things and changed,” the official said in the interview. “We want to prove that we are not what anti-Taliban propaganda has portrayed us to be. We want to show that to the world.”
The Taliban seized control of Kabul earlier this month, triggering a collapse of the NATO-backed government and prompting a hectic evacuation of tens of thousands of people through the Kabul airport. The US and its allies were given time until the end of August to fully pull out from Afghanistan.
RT has a crew on the ground in Kabul, covering the dramatic events unfolding in the Afghan capital amid the transition of power. On Wednesday, RT International correspondent Murad Gazdiev and the RT Arabic team witnessed and filmed Taliban gunmen firing warning shots in an effort to ward off Afghans desperate to flee.

Cuo Bono
The devils are playing their dirty games. Their wailing at the G7 was like a child throwing its toys in anger. That is the reality of what we are witnessing today on a murderous scale.
One of the explosions happened at the Abbey gate entrance where British troops have been stationed in recent days. They were crying the loudest.
Their gladio operatives are alive and well.
They will ramp up pressure to try and remain on another of their usual pretexts.
A Taliban official said the attack on Afghanistan’s Kabul airport was an act of terrorism that should be condemned by the whole world, adding the presence of foreign forces in the country was to blame, a Turkish TV channel said.
“As soon as the airport situation is figured out and the foreign forces leave, we will not have such attacks anymore. It is because of the presence of foreign forces that such attacks take place,” said Abdul Qahar Balkhi, a member of the Taliban’s cultural commission.
Pretty accurate summary by the Taliban spokesperson.
I am not going into the monstrous evil that could be associated with the motivation of this but with the massive evil that has gone into this Afghan s____ storm from at least the days of I am sick with rage and grief at this monstrous carnage. Grief for the marines and their families, rage at the massive incompetence of the military “leadership.” (sic)
Cuo Bono indeed. I am not prepared to go full in on trusting the Taliban but in this instance, I do not see any way they would benefit. The Russians seem to be prepared to accept them at their word that they indeed tried to warn Nato and the us of the pending attacks from some rabid killers.
I really believe this one is on the us “senior” military in the pentagon, centcom, and afghan us command structure. Reports are that Gen Scott Miller us afghan CG, bailed out in July, on or about the time they bailed on bagram and turned out the lights. He was the last one of many of long line of peacock generals in charge of this gigantic f___up.
Bagram was a military base, perimeter secured, gates could be secured and terrain more easily defended. Kabul is none of that, located in or near population centers with nothing securable.
The major question here is why was not the evacuation planned and why was it not executed via Bagram. It is impossible to be certain of info reliability but I did see one report that one suicide bomber was within five meters of troop locations.
Think about that and wonder how in the hell can anything be secured at Kabul airport.
When those marines, now dead or maimed or brains scrambled, were sent in, they had ever right to expect that the military chain of command had a plan or had some competence to get the evacuation done properly. Their families had that right also to that expectation. This did not happen.
It starts with austin, milley, mckenzie, miller and that’s where it ends. (I do not blame buy em as he prob does not know where he is most of the time and is merely a teleprompt reader which he does badly). He took the correct decision but the execution was up to the military chain of command.
Now we are treated to more of the retired peacock generals, patraeus, mcmaster, et al bloviating about the betrayal, the abandoned afghans, etc, etc.
I am not going into the monstrous evil that could be associated with the motivation of this but with the massive evil that has gone into this Afghan s____ storm from at least the days of Brzzenski, ????? I do not know, I doubt if anyone else does either.
Cuo Bono indeed.
https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/world/suicide-bombers-target-kabul-airport-13-dead-russia-says/ar-AANKUc5?ocid=EIE9HP&li=AAggNb9
This is the MSN report from over here…it’s being blamed on the Islamic State (ISIS?). They targeted a Hotel where US and Brit personel are housed. Bite the hand that feeds? Bombing them so they don’t leave?
The Taliban, once the evacuation is over, perhaps before will have to take care of this issue, otherwise it’s going to be more of the same.
Cheers, M

you said:
The Resistance Axis is using the very same sword that is spoken of in Matthew, to make war against the Synagogue of Satan. What is your problem with that?
And what is it that you know, that I don’t know, Gerry? Please, do tell.
Well, I do not believe Christ saying this meant outright war with sticks and stones missiles and armored tanks. No Christian worth anything would go down that road! It has more to do with the thoughts and intents of the heart which is what the word of God works to do.
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
and
“Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” Ephesians 6:17
Matthew 10:34 isn’t talking about outright war. Christ didn’t go around with a sword in his hand killing people now did he and he certainly didn’t have his disciples doing that either!? He sure went to war though didn’t he with the religious leaders of his day. The Jewish people were His family, blood relatives and all and as he also said “your enemies will be them of your own household” my word right down to this very day and age unfortunately.
His statement was about correcting the erroneous beliefs held by so many but especially the religious leaders of his day and they thanked him for it by killing him.
The otherside of the coin was His statement about the Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and the mighty take it by force. Are we to take that as war to anonymous? No, I’d say! That has more to do with someone putting a great prize before the people like a pot of gold and then telling a large crowd of people first dibs and its all yours. Heaven is a great prize with its fountain of youth eternal what are you going to do to get it walk or run as fast as you can to get it? I guess a better example is the Amazing Race on TV? Yes, that’s the kind of violence Christ is talking about but alas with the sin nature within the human heart its I’ll kill them all to get what i want.
Christianity that is Christ Jesus the giver of eternal life is a great prize worth fighting for Anonymous. Our martyrs like St. Stephen for example knew the truth He lives and because He lives we shall live as well!
So what is it that “you know, that I don’t know, Gerry? Please, do tell.”
Simple anonymous St. Stephen was one of those who made war against the Synagogue of Satan and his violence provides for him a seat with Christ on his own throne. Thats another prize worth going to war over yes? To those who overcome will I grant to sit with me on my throne as I overcame and am sat down with my Father on his throne.
I don’t understand why people are not afraid of God? Don’t fear Him? No one would ever and I mean ever take it upon themselves to speak on behalf of a human king or Queen. Can you imagine if you for example the reader decided to start speaking on behalf of Queen Elizabeth, started to act as her representative, her ambassador using her name, her character etc how long do you think that would last before her Majesty stepped in and stopped that from occurring? When it comes to God however, its a free for all. I find this terribly troubling and dangerous in fact, one is playing a very dangerous game by doing exactly that. A great example is surely the one from the story of Job where God says to his three friends:
After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has. So now take seven bulls and seven rams and go to my servant Job and sacrifice a burnt offering for yourselves. My servant Job will pray for you, and I will accept his prayer and not deal with you according to your folly. You have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.” So Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite did what the Lord told them; and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer. (Job 42:7–9)
The world has millions of priests Christian, Moslem and Judaic all of whom presume to speak on God’s behalf using language and mostly quoting scripture taking much of it out of context. If God were to speak for himself or one was to ask him how many speak for you God or were truly called by you what would God have to say? I say this because as a Christian with hundred of church denominations in my own community it is laughable to think that God would want it this way? It is really quite ridiculous? It’s a career choice not a calling. That I find is a very frightening matter which i fear God will one day soon intervene and judge as a human king or queen would no less do themselves. In fact didn’t St. John the Baptist also make this quite clear in his prophecy regarding the Christ?
And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:
12 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Do you think a great purging is coming? Do you think that a person who takes it upon himself to speak for God should know Him – had better know Him and been called into that position by Him? Job’s three friends certainly didn’t and they presented to Job a God whose character they cast in a bad light. As Elihu pointed out, “they had found no way to refute Job, and yet had condemned him” (Job 32:3). And they’d done this while acting in defense of God. This showed God in an unfavorable light where His character and reputation were concerned. Big mistake!
In the end I suppose for every religious leader it is these words that spells out ones calling before God:
and the Lord accepted Job’s prayer. (Job 42:7–9)
Hmmm does this mean not every prayer is heard by God?
Concerning fearing God I wish we had more details of the history of books like Thessalonians why? Because of this one sentence:
“The wrath of God has come upon them at last.” 1 Thess. 2:16
What exactly was St. Paul referring to when he said this regarding the Jews of his own day and age? That I’d say is important information yes? And note the paragraph before which in so many ways resembles the current malaise.
And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe. 14 For you, brothers and sisters, became imitators of God’s churches in Judea, which are in Christ Jesus: You suffered from your own people the same things those churches suffered from the Jews 15 who killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets and also drove us out. They displease God and are hostile to everyone 16 in their effort to keep us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved. In this way they always heap up their sins to the limit. The wrath of God has come upon them at last.
Axis of Resistance indeed even for St. Paul and the early Christians it was awful. But they submitted to God.
LOL, By the way for the Tommy Apeirons of the world Hage and the rest of the 50 million Christian Zionists would never be a Thessalonian yes? Wow, imagine St. Paul coming across a Hage in a Thessalonian Church and learning he supports this ideology to the tune of 100 million Roman gold coins?
Truly there is a tidal wave of deception flooding into the church and my people don’t know the difference between truth and error anymore.
For gardeners:
I’ve been to many places in the world and seen many things. But I’m jonesing to see this thing – a field full of these things!. These are pumpkins and they are over 100 Kg in weight and grow as much as 5 Kg a day. At that rate you can sit and watch the thing grow! I will break many laws to get some seeds! And to know what the growing conditions are and the required climatic conditions.
http://en.people.cn/n3/2021/0825/c90000-9887977.html
There have been many giant pumpkins but not too many that are grown for the industry. Imagine how many people you can feed. This one is 893 Kg.
http://en.people.cn/n/2015/1014/c98649-8961784.html
For us, pumpkin is vegetable and food and not a Halloween trick or a pie. For most of my life pumpkin has been part of the main meal of the day when in season. It replaces potato or sweet potato or such type things. We chop them in blocks and pan braise them into delightful little things that can be eaten finger food, or cook them into something resembling mashed potatoes or pumpkin soup or baked pumpkin – too many ways to count. There are many many ways to prepare pumpkin as food. It is lovely food!
In the world of a gardener, some things just have to come to your hands because you cannot bear to live without them. I want to watch these grow and hug ’em. Can the Afghanis grow ’em? I believe they are looking to the wonderful spicy saffron flower, saffron crocus, instead of drugs.
About 20 years ago a guy in our locality was attempting the giant pumpkin world record. (In his tiny backyard….. kinda jack and the beanstalk).
The local paper ran a weekly update on progress and it was all a bit of fun. (As the vine consumed his whole yard, and he placed a queen bed doona over to protect from frosts and sun.)
( joked that his wife was seeking divorce as he was now sleeping with his pumpkin-mistress).
The guy said the giant pumpkins weren’t any good for eating… too coarse and not tasty. Genetics for size only.
Also most competitive giant pumpkin growers use a lot of chemical fertiliser. So he said he wouldn’t eat his because of that.
I think he missed the record. Tried again the next year, but by then the novelty and reader interest had gone. So there were no further updates.

Given Z threw his toys out of the pram ahead of the Biden Putin Geneva meet, I thought Z would be crowing well ahead of Aug 30 with “prelim” announcements.
Very low key days out.
How thrilling and inspiring that our vastly intelligent and able Good Lady vice presedente Harriz placed flowers on the Memorial to the AD group in Hanoi. The people who helped that famous patriot “land” and make radio broadcasts…
Here’s to Jonnie McCain, aka “songbird”!! https://youtu.be/8KvtasZsUoo (confesses to war crimes) Later they say he helped leave some 2000 other fellas behind. What a patriot! Mercouris is too kind to the intrepid officer. I wonder which place he is now.
Even an Israeli sees the problem:
Politician Yakov Kedmi said that the main problem of Russia is the anti-national elite. According to Kedmi, neither in Israel nor in the USA nor in Europe would allow such people to be in power.
We only see that the elite is absolutely anti-national. She is not interested in developing the country and does not even want to associate herself with Russia at all. Often, the families of these people live abroad, there are property and money.
Can you imagine Israel’s elite, for example, holding their families in Iran, saving money there? This is impossible, even a single such case is unreal. This is from the sci-fi area.
Or we’ll take the USA. Are there big officials out there whose families live in Russia and in Russia these people keep money? This is also from the field of fiction.
In these cases, apparently, less than such officials would do – resignation. But they would probably be brought a criminal case against them, for example, for spying.
Something completely inexplicable is happening in Russia. A large part of the elite lives in countries that are waging economic war against Russia – imposing sanctions and so on. And these people are obliged to comply with the laws of the country where their property and families are located, that is, there is an obvious conflict of interest.
The situation in Russia would shock people who would try to imagine this in their own country. The situation is actually unprecedented.
In fact, about 200 thousand families of Russian officials live in London alone, there every fifth mansion belongs to a Russian citizen.
Most often, it is not quite clear what means officials buy all of this. Hardly everything is completely ′′ legal “. But they close their eyes to this, at best they will find several scapegoats in a year, but the system does not change from it.
But if you return to sanctions, something very interesting is happening: there is not only ′′ Bilain ′′ and other private companies in Crimea, but there are neither structures of the Central Bank Nabilulina, nor Sberbank, nor anything else.
But the Russian government talks about counter-sanctions. And at the same time for 5 years it has not been able to force Russian state structures to work in the territory of Russia!
It is clear that Russia has a problem in the elite, and without its change won’t have a normal future.
