Thank you, friends. I am glad that the enjoyment I experience in writing them is coming through and you’re enjoying the poems. One more Redemption Song, which, if we take the singer in a rock n roll band experience again, can just as easily end in another direction as shown by the ‘singer’ in the next poem.
The road less travelled is a far better bet, as our hero says, but everyone has their realisations in their own good time, and of course, our realisations are the result of a long chain of experience. No matter how we get ‘to where we’re going’, if the difficulties we experience along the way result in our understanding of the laws of life, then they’ve all been for something.

By all accounts the episode with Jesus and the money changers in the temple was a violent one. You think he went in there and asked the Jewish usurers nicely to leave, and they all left?

But I guess I should have added further the words of St. Paul that as Christians we are never to take revenge.

I’m sorry but i do not understand this paragraph whatsoever? My word man the Temple is no longer important to anything anymore period. God is not found in a Temple in Jerusalem and never will be again. We are the Temple of God so any rebuilt Temple in Israel is irrelevant and if irrelevant don’t even bother with it really. the Jews though will never ever accept this, never! you were the one who thinks Christ was talking about war and violence and nothing could be further from the truth. Again i will reiterate what I tried to get across the sword Jesus talked about is the sword of truth. To pit family members against one another or to interpret that as outright war is wrongheaded. One need only look at the life of St. Paul who lost everything to follow Christ and considered such loss acceptable that I might know Christ. For a man who was educated under Gamaliel for the office of High Priest among the Sanhedrin Council in Jerusalem would have been a very proud moment for his entire family. To then watch this highly gifted man turn to Christianity due to truth about God in Christ Jesus well just imagine if a son of Nasaralh did the same thing can you imagine? St. Paul lost everything to follow Christ, so the sword of Christ tore asunder all of the lies passed down to him from not only his own people traditions but his families as well! If there was any violence it came later when St. Paul was terrified of going to Jerusalem because he knew all to well what awaited him there. The Sanhedrin would have done to him what they did to Jesus!
And to that regarding the issue of what Christ said about the kingdom of heaven suffers violence and the mighty take it by force the greatest example of that is Jacob who wrestled with the angel and wouldn’t let go of him until as he said you bless me!!!! As for the Native Indians please no one on the Mayflower crew killed Indians and indeed needed there help to survive the harsh winters. When we speak of the Jews, we are speaking of the mythical Jews in the Bible? The modern Jews have little or no relation to those people from Iraq – Ur. When we consider what happened in Israel after WW II, many of those Jews who fled to Israel had worked in concert with the Nazi’s. That has always puzzled me, how Jews helped in the plunder of Europe, and then became the principal victims of Naziism. Then much of these plundered European assets then show up in the ownership of people who belong to such groups as Davos and Bilderberg. How do the children of Nazi’s like Klaus Schwab “identify” as Jewish? It is almost as if being Jewish is a get out of Jail Free card.
Another thing that puzzles me is the Vatican, they represent themselves as the Roman Universal (Catholic) Church. They appear to represent and practice every religion that was practiced during the Roman empire. The Roman Catholic Church has, or appears to have, “priests” that follow the rituals of each of these religions. If so this explains a number of the comments made by the Priest Martin Luther in the 1520’s. Question, does the Orthodox Christian Church also represent all religions that were practiced in the Roman Greek Eastern Empire or is the Orthodox Church purely Christian and does not represent all other religions practiced in the Roman Empire?

Were there no ideals or uplifting thoughts in connection to its forming ? – conviviality of sincere, free meetings between anyone from anywhere, on politics or anything else people wanted to talk about and share?
Not really .. it was fun in those early days but in those days, I did not even take part. A problem was being solved. No high falutin’ ideals which will probably shock some people. It was a fine idea, I thought at the time.
It is sweet to have a clean space for whatever rolls around. It is a joy that poets roll around, musicians, story tellers and creatives.

The MFC, formed years before the community cooperative, and I think it would be a good idea to honour that initiative, look at that real couple in the header image, a Café owes dignity and respect to its customers, or they will not frequent, cheers!
Nice music, life may have appeared simpler then, or be simpler in retrospect, but it is always complex and many layered, even if we have not understood or recognized it, thus we grow and learn, and achieve wisdom at last.

There are fears of an increase in the terrorist threat to Russia

RT is losing its reputation much faster than I thought. The entire context is not being presented. Bolsonaro was questioned about rising food prices (and we have the FED to thank for this), particularly beans which are staple for many people. He answered something along the lines of “who cares about food, you gotta buy guns”. The fact RT does not present the full context is intended to ellicit a positive response in US-centric Anglosphere circles where guns are more important than healthcare, food, education etc.
Of course I think the 2nd amendment is correct. But American individualism/libertarianism leads to anarcho-capitalism. This is what Bolsonaro wants. In theory he’s a “pro law and order” guy. This is what he was elected for. But public security and law enforcement require collective-oriented measures. It is most ineffectual to merely increase the number of gun owners. A comparison can be drawn to the United States: it doesn’t really matter if people have 5 guns per person when they can send the FBI, Blackwater and Google all synthesized against you. Solutions must always be collective, unless we want anarcho-capitalism. And some do.
We can probably digress this further to a criticism of American libertarianism. They often claim that we must beware of “autocracies” and “social credit systems”. But the question is: why is it that the country/society most obsessed with freedom engendered the most oppressive Empire? Is that mere coincidence? I don’t think so. Obsession with individualist freedom tears apart the social fabric, which requires more heavy-handed approaches to deal with social issues. This is what libertarians do. That doesn’t mean I agree with government confiscation of weapons. But there’s no individual solution, “everyone will buy guns and things will be solved”. This is utopianism. We can see this by Bolsonaro himself: not a single law/plan/project on collective law enforcement, on mitigating crime has been presented. His solution is libertarian and anarcho-capitalist. Every man for himself. That doesn’t solve the issue, but it does excite a few Anglos.
In Brazilian Portuguese we have an expression that comes from a song: “every man for himself and God against all”. We are heading there.

That song, his playing is full of life, his singing too. Some of his best work in a long time. Clapton, whatever one thinks of his personality, was such a ground breaker, such a fluid player. You have to listen to Blues Breakers, to the live Cream improvisations, to Derek and the Dominoes. There’s a bee line from Clapton to Beck to Page and even Hendrix, they all listened to and learned from each other. But a lot of Clapton’s best work never hits the corporate rock stations. Got to pull out Wheels of Fire and “Crossroads”. I liked the recent collaboration with Van Morrison very much also… some of his best work in a while, too!
Strangely so many Brits worshipped Clapton in the day, but his best work is unknown to many these days… when he’s great there’s few to match him, “slowhand” he is not.
The only virtuoso of the four is Beck, but all ‘guitar gods’ in their own right. Slow Hand is an inside dig at those in the industry who called him washed up back in the day……….washed up he is not. Maybe a Van, Eric, Roger collaboration…..further on down the road……someone’s gonna hurt you…app words if you’ve seen the Clapton adverse reaction video.
