Saker Webmaster
I have had a quite busy time lately and have not had the time to read the vignettes bc i have been to tired to think when home.
Free now and hope to sleep well tonight so i am rested and ready to read them tomorrow with a functioning mind😩
I only managed to get up to date with the articles b4 my eyes watered from tiredness.

When plastic cutlery becomes no longer available, how will certain take-out restaurants (not sit-down restaurants, but ones where you order the food and pick it up a la your typical fast-food restaurant) be able to serve food items that require forks and knives to eat? Would they have to resort to wood, bamboo, etc. instead?
Yes of course- they are already doing so. Paper cups have replaced foam ones. Wooden spoons knives and forks are all the go. Of course when you get asian food you have always got wooden chopsticks. Most takeaway plates and boxes are now made of cardboard.
It is no big deal. Not at all. After all when we were kids there were no such things as plastic spoons and fish and chips came wrapped in newspaper. the wooden stuff works well.
The only actual nuisance is i find paper straws. They do not work as well and taste funny. Definitely not the go if with a small child who bites the straws. need to ask for 5-6 or more to get through a small juice.
Wonder what we did before we had fingers?
And why is a straw even needed to drink something?
On some of the articles I previously shared discussing Russo-Japanese relations and the status of the Kuriles, some commentators insisted that Hokkaido be returned to Russia.
Unlike the relatively smooth retrocession of Crimea, I foresee certain differences that might hamper a similar ‘retrocession’ of Hokkaido:
* Cars in Russia and Ukrainia drive on the right, while cars in Japan drive on the left.
* Japan’s electricity system is 110 volts (like with the US), whereas Russia’s and Ukraine’s are 220 volts (like with the rest of Europe). Not only would the electricity grid have to be remodeled, but buildings (from houses to offices) would also have to replace their flat-pronged ‘American-style’ power outlets with round-pronged ‘Schuko’ ones.
* The largest coin in circulation in Japan is 500 yen, which is currently worth 316 Russian rubles. The largest coin in circulation in Russia is 10 rubles. Assuming that prices remain unchanged, one would need thirty 10-ruble coins to match the efficiency of a single 500-yen coin.
At the time Crimea rejoined Russia, one could by more with a 10-ruble coin than with a 1-hryvnia note.
* Russia and Ukraine have historically used either PAL, SECAM, or a combination of the two, whereas Japan has used NTSC. And for DVDs/Blu-Rays, respectively, Japan uses region 2/A, while Russia and Ukraine use 5/C. Whether the difference between PAL/SECAM and NTSC is relevant in a digital age is another story.
To play devil’s advocate, in the event that Hokkaido is returned to Russia, how will these differences be resolved? Or will Hokkaido still use the systems it had while it was still part of Japan?
I recall installing 5o hz equipment from “Eastern Block” in the USA, the higher frequency (60 hz) US mains worked because the voltage difference compensated for the impedance difference fairly well. That’s to say that some equipment is adaptable. Not ideal, but adaptable. Only some. Nevertheless it’s just work, it could be done.
But of course generally, as you say, there would be practical difficulties.
I can’t imagine Russia giving up even a CMx2 of turf. Rather one may expect Alaska to return to Russia, in the fullness of time…then again, there’s a fort on the coast of California. > “Fort Ross (Russian: Форт-Росс), originally Fortress Ross (Russian: Крѣпость Россъ, tr. Krepostʹ Ross), is a former Russian establishment on the west coast of North America in what is now Sonoma County, California.” (wiki)
At Sonoma there is a cannon – really exquisite cannon, made in Russia. Knowing something of the founder’s art, I admired the fine quality and was jealous of it.
From the Divan-e-Shams #2217, Rumi ( Translation; Doug Marman, Farzad Khalvati, Mitra Shafaei )
See the Reflection of Misery on My Face
See the reflection of misery on my face but say nothing.
Witness the endless suffering.
For God’s sake, say nothing.
See a heart filled with sorrow and eyes flowing like a river.
Whatever you see, let it go.
Don’t ask why. Say nothing.
A vision came to the door of my heart last night
And knocked. It said, “Come, open the door
and say nothing.”
I bit my hand, wailing, from seeing your pain.
The vision said, “I’m here with you. Don’t bite your hand.
Say nothing.
“You are like my flute. Don’t moan without my lips.
Until I pluck you like a harp to play a song,
say nothing.”
I said, “How long will you drag me around the world like this?”
The vision said, “Wherever I drag you, come quickly
and say nothing.”
I said, “If I say nothing, is it okay for
A consuming fire to ask me out and tell me to say nothing?”
Like an open flower laughing, the vision said,
“Come look. The whole fire is nothing but a blossoming garden.
Say nothing.”
This fire then changed and I saw a garden of articulate flowers
saying,
“Except for the kindness and graciousness of our beloved,
say nothing.”

Inside is the Garden of Sanctity
An inner sanctuary of dignity
Sanctuary from darkness, sanctuary from hate
We all must find before too
late
Who finds this garden while living yet
Needs not fear when the end of this body is met
That which was formed must someday be destroyed
But the timeless Heart can this fate avoid
How does one go about finding this garden?
“How does one find this garden within?”
I’m sure anomalous won’t mind if I offer a general guide from my perspective.
One cannot be too aggressive and must approach the garden, or temple/altar within, in a gentle way.
1. Set aside a short period of time when you expect to be uninterrupted by the external world.
2. A good place to start is to read a short passage of inspiring verse to place the attention on the things of Spirit.
3. Fill the consciousness with love. Whatever it is that inspires a feeling of love in your heart.
4. Bring your attention in a gentle way, to the spiritual eye, ie; the point between the eyebrows in a gentle, indirect manner.
5. Softly repeat a charged word or name, sound or syllable or uplifting verse that has meaning to you, such as a favourite prayer. A departed commenter here at the MFC, used to recommend Psalm 91.
A charged name or word may include AUM, ( Ah-oohm ) or OM ( Oh-mm ), or HU ( pronounced like the name Hugh ). The sound or word can even be the word “Love”, or “God”, the purpose is to focus the attention. Remember indirection is important, b/c concentration is a very difficult and potentially frustrating exercise, so don’t be too upset if at first you find your mind resisting. Simply allow the river of the mind with its endless thoughts, recurring images/motifs etc. bobbing up and down in the river, pass you by. In this way, I think of the exercise more as contemplation, as the attention will keep scampering here and there, but you should sooner or later find a way to overcome its shenanigans.
6. Take note of any activity at the spiritual eye. You may see a tiny pinpoint of intense light. You may experience soft waves of light that flow over you. The waves may be any of a number of colours for example, yellow, pink, blue or white. You may see a blue or white star which has six points. This signifies the presence of Divine Spirit. One may also hear sounds inwardly. The sound is a little harder to isolate , nevertheless, some of the sounds may include the sound as of high tension wires, the sounds of nature such as the buzzing of bees, or falling water. Or it may be the sound of musical instruments like woodwinds, or stringed instruments. These are a few examples of phenomena that many individuals have experienced.
Don’t spend too much time initially and most importantly, avoid frustration, impatience etc. You can always come back later. Five to ten minutes is a good starting point, but in any case, 10 to 20 mins is often enough time at a single sitting.
One may ‘frame’ one’s expectations and petition the Holy Spirit, or the teacher, if one has a teacher, and ask for a request to be fulfilled. For example, one may say, “please show me proof that I exist as Soul”, or something along these lines. ‘Take me to the inner garden’, might be good for you.
Spend time with this exercise and by the fact that you are putting energy “out there”, it will, at some point, come back to you in some way, shape or form. Note any imagery that may appear on the ‘screen within’, feelings or subtle differences to your overall state of consciousness before and after your exercise. Above all, If you don’t have an experience, don’t become disheartened. As Rumi says, one does not get to the top of the mountain by simple straining one’s head at looking up the summit. Some may need more effort to open up dormant inner channels while others may be more familiar and comfortable with their inner terrain, in the same way that some people recall dreams easier than others, and so on. Hope this helps and good luck.
Of course Anomalous does not mind.
A fundamental difficulty we have is that our energy body is not energised enough for us to see / feel it. We need to increase our inner
energy. Our energy flows to where we direct our attention. Usually we direct our attention
only to the outside so that our attention flows to the outside and becomes dissipated. By simply being aware of our bodily posture or bodily sensations or our breathing the energy flow is redirected back inwards where it becomes increased. As this energy is the light / prana of the universe we will see and feel our inner light increasing. We start to see and feel an inner wellspring of this light / life energy throughout the body but most especially at the heart. We continue with our practises and the inner wellspring becomes a fountain. With the practise of spreading loving kindness the inner fountain becomes wider and stronger. As the inner fountain becomes stronger our inner antenna becomes more powerful both for sending and receiving since our consciousness operates through this light which connects us all. The garden within is a garden of light and peace. It takes patience and persistence to find and cultivate. You will find instructions in the Christian Desert Fathers, in Sufi tradition, Hindu tradition , Buddhist etc. Finding the garden within is not yet enlightenment but is a big step along the way. When we develop our inner light we are no longer spiritually blind and no longer sleepwalking.
An example of meditation technique.

How does one go about finding this garden?
One can also go into the garden of the natural world, anywhere, a plant growing out of a wall in flower, the grass and roots of a tree cracking the asphalt or concrete pavement, growing upwards into the light, Energy and energetics are words relating to the earth, but trees and plants grow and flower, form seeds and die and grow again from spiritual power, light. The inner light humans develop, is helped too by observing nature with reverence. Reverence is like an inner seed bed; grow and tend your own inner garden..
Very well said.
It’s said I’m a lamp in the
convergence of space and time
Yet when I think about it
I’m a mere flotsam in time
It’s said I’m visible to the world
during the day and at night
Yet glancing upon myself
I’m till now I unseen
It’s said one’s meditation
reach beyond extremity
Yet have I cried since long
I’m here, I’m here
It’s about my drowning existence
for which I exclaim about
Yet about Your existence
I’m all at sea
weep for what you’ve lost
but give thanks for what you have
in order to remember
who and what you are,
and what you came here for
Let’s play a game
Let’s call it the Game of Love
There’s rules too
It goes
This is a game of forgetting and remembering
So
I forget you remember
Then you forget I remember
Then we both forget
And when I remember
This is the game of love.
This is the game of
Remembering and forgetting.
I can’t remember
Have we played this game before?
I’m starting to remember now
This is the game of love
This is the game of blood and sacrifice
This is the game of Niles and their sources
This is the game of Pharaohs and their sources
This is the game of love
This is the game of everything or nothing
This is the game of remembering and forgetting
This is the game of love ..
Well, shite.
Has the implementation of QR codes been discussed earlier on this site? What do we make of this? Anyone?

I’m Just a Gun for Hire
I’m angry for a reason,
Got paid a handsome fee,
To introduce my lord
And bring you to your knee.
I’m just a gun for hire,
Its not my place to talk,
Or take someone to task,
I do the job and walk.
The molotovs are ready,
Pyro in the boot.
I simply start the fire
Then take away the loot.
I’m just a gun for hire,
Someone who trades in fear.
I’ll do your dirty work…
And then I’ll disappear.
A supply chain problem of a different kind. So Vice news reports that there is no more heroin available in North America .. Canada and the US I would presume. It’s only 2 months since the US withdrew or fled from Afghanistan and the heroin users are taking fentanyl.
This is not a nice article to read at all, or rather a subculture that I know nothing about. So, here is the headline: It’s not really necessary to read more – they don’t connect Afghanistan at all of course.
“Drug Users Are Nostalgic for ‘Old-School Heroin’ as Fentanyl Takes Over
In many former heroin strongholds in the U.S. and Canada, the opioid is disappearing, fueling fentanyl overdoses and prompting some users to push for a renaissance.”
Its quite horrible to find this kind of evidence that the soldiers in Afghanistan or contractors really really trafficked heroin into their own communities. The Americans always say ‘thank you for your service’ to these soldiers, but they might be saying thanks to a heroin trafficker.
https://www.vice.com/en/article/5dgzq8/fentanyl-has-overtaken-heroin-market?utm_source=vicenewstwitter
We never had much brown heroin on the streets here until Canada strated policing Afghan poppy fields. Closed casket, ‘too mangled to look at’ is the normal shipping route……no shortage of grifters in the military also.
Cheers M
amarynth, I did reply last cafe, but posting from mobile device is spotty. Do take care…
In Vietnam period US “street” plenty cheap high quality “china white” smack, until the war was “winding down”. Many people gave up using when the only stuff turned to low quality “Mexican brown”. Entirely coincidental, naturally. The good stuff came via trunks (boots) of limousines at Beverly Hills mansions, I was told.
see https://all-med.net/pdf/the-politics-of-heroin/
Agree, closed casket / body bags, and certain aircraft operations… They say the Pepsi bottler in Thailand was an enormous operation.
About fentanyl > I well recall that synthesis of this molecule, when done carelessly, also produces a toxic molecule that destroys a part of the subject’s brain – resulting in a Parkinson’s sort of condition. N-methyl-4-phenyl-1, 2, 3, 6-tetrahydropyridine, they say.
One might assume, reasonably, that we shall soon see a sudden increase in such permanent injury, as the old classical “sorta safe” smack is replaced with synthetic poisons. https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/00000360.htm
Connecting the dots, some might imagine a new feature of crafty “Action T4” might be in operation under informal licensing agreements between some governments and some criminal associations.
This > “Its quite horrible to find this kind of evidence that the soldiers in Afghanistan or contractors really really trafficked heroin into their own communities. The Americans always say ‘thank you for your service’ to these soldiers, but they might be saying thanks to a heroin trafficker. ” seems to manifest a deep misunderstanding. As said, it’s a “subculture” many know little about.
Of course individuals may sneak in a small quantity at great risk, but the chemical modification from opium to heroin (diacetylmorphine), and importation (see> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heroin ) and distribution is non-trivial, it requires at least technical grade reagents (like glacial acetic acid) and equipment, reasonably reliable chemists and laborers, good sized building, electrical power that’s reliable, jet aircraft, airstrips, and absolutely indicates large-scale covert but official cooperation between intelligence services and criminal organizations, with secret licensing agreements. It’s an industry, not individual “fodder units” (Bush 41 term) that provide the thousands of pounds of dope.
Many say the intel fellas at the “Kosovo” base know the sordid details.
In the Vietnam days it was said to be the Pepsi factory in Thailand.
McCoy says the US went into Southeast Asia in ’45 to take the smack business from the French intel fellas. The “golden triangle” is not just a name…it’s a source of terrific off-the-books gold, and leverage over the dope fiends.
In the US the “Rockefeller Drug Laws” just happened to make felons out of the same class of citizens that were demanding their civil rights – and felons can’t vote… The massive increase in prisoners then fed (feeds) into a slavery of institutional factories. I.G. Farbin 2.0 with slave labor that’s, just as in ’44, “legal”.
When I was a boy most of the drug laws were either non-existent or misdemeanors. Same for the gun laws. And the jails were a tiny fraction of what we see to-day…per capita very few inmates in 1950.
Dig> The dope comes from one hand, the laws from the other. It’s primarily a construct for control.
The loss of the opium source simply means a brief pause while specialized fentanyl labs get set up. It’s probably even more profitable. Much the same for amphetamine – less trouble that growing coca and doing solvent extractions in the jungle… Only takes a few people with special permissions…
I can say first-hand that the fentanyl use @ Anoxia creates lots of traffic on my cop-o-tronic radio monitors. It seems to get mixed with amphetamine to make something reminiscent of cocaine, as well as used by itself. Cops bust small users every day – and this is a small town. The jail has, I think, 9 beds, and these are usually filled by real desperadoes – so the cops just take the dope and give out a summons to appear, at least a lot of the time.
I expect we’ll see an explosion of Parkinson’s (see my previous) from sloppy or deliberately poor fentanyl synthesis.
Recall Bush 41 calling US soldiers “fodder units”, and that fine lady Hillary terming the working class “deplorable” – it’s logical that such attitudes would encompass flooding the people with dope.
You’re sweet .. “…. seems to manifest a deep misunderstanding …” I don’t know this world and I am dumb as a rock and you may say so … Amarynth! here you are dumb as a rock. I’ll go uhmmmphhh .. ouchie! but I know.
I caught some video about some state where the incarceration rate for kids, I mean as young as seven, is something like 47% higher than anywhere else and they advertise their services to other states . One can but look at stuff like that with despair.
You’re not dumb. I am sorry if I was rude.
drug ads> https://prescriptiondrugs.procon.org/background-resources/drug-ads-gallery-1940-1949/
Yes, the way of the west is to get the money and the power, and dope gets not only these, but cash flow that keeps some banks afloat.
At the pinnacle, in Capitalist way of things, government and organized crime and big business is the same thing – at the top they are not distinguishable.
No problem Mr P. Just giving you the right to tell me if I’m stupid on this issue. I understand it, you know, in the principle of it.. the graphs, the money, the flows, the deep and sick collusion, and so on. But suddenly I saw it from another perspective. The poor sucker at the end of the road. The poor sucker that I never even wanted to work with on a professional level.
You know, we were in big industry .. big business .. big parties, and the bowls with the white stuff were certainly present, with other goodies. Never was I even tempted to participate. To the contrary, I usually had my glass of wine and left early. Must have been a survival instinct on some level.
Sorry, you are correct Mr. P.
I do not know as much about PR industry aspect of Big Pharma/Tobacco. The brainwashing of women started in at least 1920s with cigarettes (Bernays) and seems to have transitioned quickly to drugs, not just in 1950-60s. I wonder how many Nazi PR techniques (including what Goebbels did) was brought whole cloth from USA and/or British (like the bankster funds which gave rise to the third Reich) ?! Looked at from another angle, Operation Paperclip may have been a tactical withdrawal of proxies, like ISIS being choppered out of Syrian cauldrons.
I went to med school just up the road from the then Virginia headquarters of Phillip Morris. One of our lecturers, an incensed pulmonologist, showed us these ads from 30s – 50s (and he noted Big Tobacco already had the data on carcinogenic properties while rolling out the later ad campaigns):
https://theghostdiaries.com/10-creepy-vintage-ads-of-doctors-endorsing-cigarettes/
And I misspoke – most countries in WW2 transitioned quickly to more stable and less toxic amphetamines, especially Allied countries.
NB: our pal Hal is going ballistic on La Palma lately! Too much to keep up with; we have entered the Maelstrom.
How will the drug industry deal with the proposed cashless society? I see the wonked out ones staring into their cell phones. Maybe it is all figured out.
All of us are dumb on most issues, Amarynth. Especially on this issue. I think in part the true value of education/training (+ humility and reflection) is to appreciate how little we really know. There is just too much knowledge out there. If we are fortunate, we become proficient at few things. And even then, if serious, we need to update and continue learning lifelong.
The issue of drugs is so visceral and traumatic that most shy away and can’t stand to think too deep on it (what does it say about structure and means of our society and its will towards us?) All of us have a friend or relative or neighbor affected, but are too disturbed and blanketed by soothing propaganda (and political correctness) to connect the dots. There is systemic learned helplessness and official apathy (if not corruption) at centers of power which could enforce change. It is, like current covid issue, an open conspiracy. Countless are incentivized to play along. So it leads to cynicism and apathy and atomizes society, and perhaps these are among goals of those who push this model.
I left USA in part because of this – sitting in physician’s lounge and being forced to participate in how Israelis should better control Palestinian ghettoes, being a pill pusher for Big Pharma (rather than honestly working for cures – doctors were on some prescribing “social credit system” where were accorded perks according to how many scripts wrote per promoted drug, etc) – all too soul crushing.
Criminality had taken root and was a reflexive way of life by my generation.
And intelligent people like you instinctively knew this, tapped out, got medical care and life tips from alternative holistic sources and shut off the brain-washing TV (thank God for Internet!) And so we are a new hive mind, learning from each other and appreciating the good the exists outside the system with like souls.
So thanks for being yourself!
Many years ago I worked briefly with a drug rehab center, it is devastating process to undergo opioid withdrawal. One of worst experiences a person can have. The addict will commit any deed or crime (against even closest family) to get the next fix, to avoid the anxiety, shakes, pain pangs…
See this truly shocking movie (recommended to me by director of that rehab center): Trainspotting (1996)
This will be another factor in coming crazy weeks, (with how many millions dependent in US ready to go postal?). A toxic ingredient to an already heavy brew.
Perhaps the CDC expects a zombie apocalypse before parkinsonism?
https://www.cdc.gov/cpr/zombie/index.htm
War & Drugs are unfortunately an old mix.
Those bad habits are then brought back home.
In WW2 both sides encouraged methamphetamine use (crystal meth) to get the desired “super-soldier” with stamina and focus and little sleep requirement, etc.. and in some forces it still continues (Ritalin to help air force pilots focus?).
Germany was HUGE in chemistry since 1800s and led the global field. They had most of the top scientists.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuCXlD7gQ3o
After ww2, Big Pharma didn’t want to lose market share, so new industries were created in CONUS.
And at same fortuitous time, US inherited not only Operation Paperclip and other Nazi secrets, but the chemistry industry too. So we still remain entranced by Pharmakeia.
I think in 1960’s if you were a woman, and saw a doc, you were routinely prescribed an “anti-hysteric” such as valium! To mellow the constitution of course.
And with time came stimulants for ADHD kids (pushed by high-functioning competitive parents), synthetic opioids for middle-class analgesia, etc..
Libraries have been written about the shenanigans of Big Pharma.
regarding certain aircraft operations, reminds me of Mena, AK with a certain gov named slick willy (and W’s daddy), and the informative experiences of CAF:
https://dillonreadandco.com/narco-dollars-in-the-1980s/
Mike Ruppert also covered the LA angle of drug trafficking.
It was systemic really throughout the USA; pure German-quality pharmaceuticals for the middle/upper classes and Russian-roulette product from Asia/Latin America for the lower.
Indeed, who was a more enterprising drug dealer – Uncle Sam in USA or the Brit East India Co in China? Or was there near-seamless continuity of the business model?
I worked 32 years as a nurse, some of it in top security remand. I have taken care of many a junkie away from his or her supply. There is no doubt. It is hell. But as the most high has whispered:”better to do your hell here than later!”
Brother Blue Iconoclast
Many a good read has come my way via cafe comments. Here is one to toss into the mix: “Sea of Poppies” by Amitav Ghosh. East India Co.’s 19th century opium industry in India. It is fiction but fiction has it’s own kind of truth.
More words on the tedious topic… heroin, which as well as being immediately addictive and inducing profound psychological disturbance s, also effects and damages the brain.
Tobacco is one thing, and drugs for social, life-enhancement -capability, ‘recreational’ agents, are another, and clearly have the potential to lead on to heroin addiction.
How about major accidents, end of life care, traumatic birth experiences for women, etc, etc, and medical intervention using morphine for pain? Why suffer and watch other’s in pain if you can relieve them with drugs?
What about so called ‘dying with dignity’ of euthanasia ? If you have the money, the choice is yours, even without advanced illness. Stay at the sanatorium, relax and enjoy your last days with friends, and when you are ready, go to your room, drink the final draught, lie down and wait… but for what? That is horror and no dignity in sight.
The ancient Indian spoke of laying aside ones physical body at death like ones clothes. The spiritual life force was prāṇa, life body, or the etheric body, as termed by Steiner, and has its own light laws.
Dying under the influence of powerful drugs is hard, as the life force becomes strongly attached to the physical body, enchained as it were, and takes time to disengage.
Conviction for life, on al levels, is endangered.
Con -vict – tion = with the power of victory, Invictus over emotional, mental, physical pain and distress. How to do it – everyone has there own pain threshold, one loses consciousness – passes out anyway if this is exceeded.
Patience with pain, as the wise leaders have extolled, as only suffering and pain lead to wisdom, which is of course, ultimately inseparable from goodness, truth and beauty.
The ground we stand on is one reality, but the inner foundation of life and living has another, and gratitude as foundation is firmer ground, as it is connecting force, nonpersonal, far above the divisive stratagems of Satan
Violeta del Carmen Parra Sandoval from Chile, wrote the song below and first performed it, though it has been translated and sung and made famous in many countries since.
Gracias a la Vida, Thanks to Life
Thanks to life, which has given me so much.
It gave me eyes as stars that when I open them
Perfectly distinguish black from white
And in the tall sky its starry backdrop,
And within the multitudes the one that I love.
Thanks to life, which has given me so much.
It gave me hearing that, in all of its reach
Records night and day crickets and canaries,
Hammers and turbines, barks and storms,
And the tender voice of my beloved.
Thanks to life, which has given me so much.
It gave me sound and the alphabet.
With them the words I think and declare:
“Mother,” “Friend,” “Brother” and light shining down on
The road of the soul of the one I’m loving.
Thanks to life, which has given me so much.
It gave me the steps of my tired feet.
With them I have traversed cities and puddles
Valleys and deserts, mountains and plains.
And your house, your street and your garden.
Thanks to life, which has given me so much.
It gave me this heart that shakes its frame,
When I see the fruit of the human brain,
When I see good so far from evil,
When I look into the depth of your light eyes…
Thanks to life, which has given me so much.
It gave me laughter and it gave me tears.
With them I distinguish happiness from pain
The two elements that make up my song,
And your song, as well, which is the same song.
And everyone’s song, which is my very song.
https://youtu.be/w67-hlaUSIs
you are a song, a song of love
forged in a sacred vale,
a song set free over hills and lea
and carried on ocean gales
you are a song, an ancient song
sung in heaven’s bright fields
forgotten in haste when shown the waste,
the door behind you sealed
you are a song, a doleful song,
a tune so biting and thin –
the piper unfurls his loneliest skirls,
welcoming travellers in
you are a song, a by-gone song
of memories that reappear,
a flower so fey in autumn’s bouquet
with winter drawing near
you are a song, a song that soothes,
after the verdict is in
a song that survives through countless lives
surrendered like ashes to wind
you are a song, a song that soars,
o’er whistling peaks and plateaus,
high up above the dream of the dove,
where only the eagle goes
you are a song, a nameless song
a splendour that daily grows,
a song unsung, an unspoken tongue,
that only the heart may know…
Indeed, we should be grateful for the gifts we have received. Thank you anon amigo, for sharing this wonderful song.
In his recent speech President Vladimir Putin said “Conservatism, is not something preventing upward, forward movement, but something preventing [a person] from sliding back into chaos.”
It “is not about an ignorant traditionalism, a fear of change or a restraining game, much less about withdrawing into [one’s] own shell. It is primarily about reliance on a time-tested tradition, the preservation and growth of the population, a realistic assessment of oneself and others, a precise alignment of priorities, a correlation of necessity and possibility, a prudent formulation of goals, and a fundamental rejection of extremism as a method.”
“In my opinion,” Putin said, “the same [respect for life] applies to family as a [universal] value, because what can be more important than procreation? Do we want to be or not to be? If we do not want to be, fine. You see, adoption is also a good and important thing, but to adopt a child someone has to give birth to that child. This is the second universal value that cannot be contested.”
A great speech, as one would expect from a Statesman, which sets out the importance of social structure on world polity, and outlines the means and methods for a better future.
Seeing lots of ‘reports’ from Australia of overcrowded hospitals with lots of mystery probs, some probs in areas where thingy never made head way, but jibbyjab did. WW, Bubushkas any other caffenistas down there care to comment……fake? or true?

Any news on the subject of site moderation? Will ”anonymous” finally be ceased promptly or, alternatively, consigned to a separate subsection?
Not even a whisper of deep down gossip can I give you. :-) Boss is playing it close to his chest for sure. I don’t blame him because I’m opinionated on this issue, and I’d just as well make people pay for stupid stuff lol.
We’ll know soon enough.

Yesterday was the 300th anniversary of the Russian Empire. This date has not gone unnoticed. The Echo of Moscow, for example, published an article about how tired the people are of the imperial politics of our state. It is not surprising that it is a radio station that deals with anti-state propaganda that publishes such materials.
Our people went through different historical stages: territorial expansions and losses, victories and defeats, turmoil, revolution, civil wars, but we always positioned ourselves as an empire. Someone admired us, and someone was afraid of us. It’s hard to determine in what period of history our imperial consciousness was formed. Whether it was under Ivan the Grozny, Peter I or Joseph Stalin. One thing is obvious: people cannot get tired of what is part of their consciousness. Moreover, we simply cannot exist differently.
We abandoned the empire twice and our country was immersed in bloody civil wars. Due to the traitorous politics of Gorbachev, who is very loved in the West, we lost our country. Millions of people turned out to be strangers in the countries where they were born and raised. We are still shoveling the consequences of the dashing 90 s. Only we began to get up from our knees, and they are already telling us that we are not afraid to be a great power.
I think differently. Most likely, our people are tired of being criticized forever, imposed on us by lying values, rewritten our history, threatened by sanctions, then by ships in the Black Sea. We shouldn’t give up the imperial component we have trying to please our well wishers. We were treated very well during the collapse of the USSR, so we abandoned our empire, destroyed our own state. The second time we won’t allow this. This is too expensive to treat us well from our Western colleagues.

The subversion of a generation of kiddies with “gender identification issues”, racial dysphoria and antipathy, and plenty of dope must be purely coincidental. Not to mention debasing the curriculum, disintegrating the family… I mean, who would do a thing like that?
People who call the working class “deplorables”? Pure coincidence.
With a grain of salt, so to say…some interesting stuff on climate change, causation, opinion…some previously unknown papers (to me at least! Like I’ve said, there are very few actual secrets, just stuff that public bu unknown)

In other area, it’s rude to publish or read the Biden daughter’s jottings. But one may confirm by events that the lady has family problems, and problems with self-control. Geewhiz. Like her esteemed brother? And, for extra credit, name another family member with problems. (I did not read the jottings) Honestly, I feel sympathy for her.
wow, the world is weird sometimes.
I followed a link in a comment here at the Saker site to a Belarus song and found a song both my grandfathers used to sing, and was thrown straight back to childhood.
They were both Union men(leaders) one a socialist the other Communist, that may explain why such things happened😂

No mention of what happened in Texas yesterday??? Wonder what these same people involved in the event were saying regarding the incident in Iran on Christmas Day back in January 2020??? No need for outsiders to mess with Texas. Apparently, Texans themselves are doing just fine on their own.
These mist covered mountains
Are a home now for me
But my home is the lowlands
And always will be
Someday you’ll return to
Your valleys and your farms
And you’ll no longer burn to be
Brothers in arms
Through these fields of destruction
Baptisms of fire
I’ve witnessed your suffering
As the battle raged high
And though they did hurt me so bad
In the fear and alarm
You did not desert me
My brothers in arms
There’s so many different worlds
So many different suns
And we have just one world
But we live in different ones
Now the sun’s gone to hell and
The moon’s riding high
Let me bid you farewell
Every man has to die
But it’s written in the starlight
And every line in your palm
We’re fools to make war
On our brothers in arms

Qualcuno sta mentendo.

I took in Andrei Martyanov @ “per —— 2021-11-05 15:27:01 Is War Coming? Off the cuff remarks. On the run.” (YT).
And note that he speaks of life and conflict as probabilistic. (I agree) And the probability of big war? Somewhat less than no big war. He gives no numbers, but I gather that he has in mind something like 40:60.
More interesting is his puzzlement about who is running the US? His implied assumption that anybody (never mind who) is running the US may not be valid.
He has a more interesting implied assumption – one that looms in darkness and which is, in my opinion, liable to upset his probabilities. There seem to be credible arguments in biology and observation that the “disease/cure process” now ongoing may result in a very rapid and very large decrease in the number of living persons, or, if one wishes to see the compliment – a vast and sudden increase in deaths. Moreover, such changes are not to be expected to be homogeneous. Mr Martyanov seems to assume that this is not happening and won’t happen. I moot the assumption, for consideration, the other way – that it is happening and will continue and become shocking to social equilibrium and cohesion – said features already being unstable and weakened.
Therefore I wonder – how can those guilty of creating a massive die-off deflect blame and keep power, other than by a deliberate war? As Andrei says, these people are insane, schizophrenic, psycho… And given the desire to bring a vast population reduction, might not a big war seem to their eyes desirable to further such a diabolical goal?
I harbor doubts about the probabilities. In fact I’m inclined to say that a big war is almost a sure thing. That’s because no plan survives contact with the opposing force, and the insane disorganized hysterical “elite” have their backs to the sea.
the big war is already happening. Why kill people in militairy battles when one can do it much cheaper and and stealthy with the cooperation of the victims. The fllu and jab will be followed with Co2 and many others in the pipeline except gas of course
Indeed so. And why not do both? They both compliment and conceal one another while deflecting blame away from the criminal gangs.
I await – expect – the thrilling experiences that may come when “somebody” lets smallpox outa da lab….
Then, naturally, Marburg and all the rest of the wonders…

Losers always double when they can’t run away. It’s their only path.
I agree. Martyanov is a decent, rational man. Current elites and circumstances are neither.
When I saw that video a few days ago, it felt surreal; like drinking a cool glass of water at high noon in the hell hole of the desert of Arrakis. But we still remain in the desert.
The parasite has rolled the dice and cannot go back to the “old normal.” The West has been sacrificed – all key institutions – economy, USD, education, infrastructure, environment, politics, media, medical cartel, coopted clerics, even the basic family unit – all thoroughly discredited or collapsed deliberately. There is no more trust or a future under current paradigm. No external enemy needed really. Controlled demolition was activated during Nixon era, if not earlier.
Nevertheless, external bases have been covered too and China has been set up to be the fall guy – i.e. the “China virus” meme of the Trump wing of the duopoly. All that’s missing to trigger the casus belli is the realization of the Deagle report.
However, there are many unaccounted variables too.
– What is role of the double helix in this process? If we can see this, they saw what was planned decades ago. Before I was born, the criminals broadcast intent in their arts. So why are China/Russia letting it play out, assuming lack of complicity?
– Lack of MSM reporting of die-off and other distractions
– The process can be dragged out so slowly, most [hungry, desperate] folks may not have situational awareness of the overall event. Hyperinflation, cut supply chains, rioting, “a bad flu season,” activation of electromagnetic radiation only next winter (2022-2023), and worst being glued to their TVs – all these together can take attention off the process.
– Delay in adequate vaccination rates (~10-15% globally so far) may also cause delay of subsequent steps. Unless the goal is strict focus on Zone A and to take care of Zone B with other means, i.e. big war.

If I understand correctly Dmitry Leonidovichn toul’monde is in good health in this room. Did you put them in 40taine before the date with the Pdt? Did you do the pcr testing, right? and how is it that you came to see the one and only head of state, the Pdt, in Belarus without having tested the people in attendance? What is this attitude with regard to the situation that you are continually trying to convince me of? I am not asking you this question unnecessarily, Dmitry Leonidovich, you have done well because it is not done here; although in the whole world one does not meet Presidents without measure of 40taine. It was not for the importance of testing that I asked this question, but to ask another. If you go into the Pdt’s house like a mill, then why torture people like that? You can come like this when obviously the pandemic is raging here for a 3rd year or I don’t know how long. No one has ever come with a muzzle, no one is asked if he is vaccinated or if he has done a PCR test. Only Katchanova was constantly indignant that we came to see the Pdt without testing etc … but it bothered her for a while and now she comes herself without being tested. So why are we bothering people? Why are the alarm bells ringing across the country? Why are the police mobilizing to control the wearing of masks? Why manipulate and inspect people like this, even women? Where is this Minister? I warned you, don’t you have any other fish to fry? Why are you breaking the law? We have no law that gives you the right to torture people and check their muzzles. Who are you playing for?
Sit down! … if you started by treating people properly starting from the most affected areas and then all over Dmitry Leonidovich Street, you are wreaking havoc across the country I’m sure the governors have understood today ‘ hui. I see that in Brest they have started to verbalize people! It’s like putting your knee on their chest, to get them vaccinated. I asked you not to do this!
Poor poor babies. They are so angry because their sanctions regimes are not working any longer. Now they wanna fight.

Reading Disabilities Act (https://www.eeoc.gov/americans-disabilities-act-1990-original-text).
Of course it’s a court that decides what a law means, but the plain reading makes it quite clear that the “mandate” method is a violation of the statute.
I expect the court law established since 1990 will also be a fun read…but much of that is behind paywalls and the old fella has chores in the garden. fyi we still have peppers coming ripe, and leaves are calling to be raked and taken to compost.
Employers are not permitted even to inquire…let alone require “tests”.

(I like the bit about how those Eu fascists and Iranian commies don’t “respect” the illegal sanctions., thanks! For what it’s worth, most US persons don’t have much respect for sanctions either, if my cop-o-tronic monitor is a guide…a great complicated cop operation last night with many cop cars trying to follow some fella to his hide-out or dope connection…and they failed and went home to bother the homeless about their campfires – far less risky.)
