When paging through Russian-language news headlines on Yandex (via my phone, because the desktop version doesn’t display as many) and reading comments on some of those news articles, certain acronyms tend to be used here and there. What I notice is that, while certain acronyms like ФРГ (Федеративная Республика Германия), СНГ (Содружество Независимых Государств) and ЕС (Европейский союз) reflect their actual translations, others like НАТО (Организация Североатлантического договора, shouldn’t it be ОСД?) are Cyrillized versions of the original language acronyms. Is there a reason for this?
(By this same token a similar question could be asked about the KGB, whose English name is “Committee for State Security”. If ‘CSS’ couldn’t be used because it was already taken, then maybe I’ve answered my own question.)
I can see at least three reasons:
1. The Russkies always want to weaken the Western alliance with devilish means – and this is just another example of how they do it: they block people like us here with unsolvable riddles, so that when the Verteidigungsfall, our last Stündlein, comes, we are all unprepared because flabberghasted and nailed down with such, uh, unsolvable riddles.
2. Had the Führung of us Germs translated the Fremdwort NATO into our mothertongue, this would have resulted in NVA (for Nordamerikanische Verteidigungs-Assoziation) – but the Bundeswehrführung vetoed it…
3. Some spitzfündige jokers might start a linguistic discussion about how foreign abbreviations are vs. should be dealt with, in practice, and in principle, and how we should fight and win a war for a proper transfer of notions.
Such a language/semantics terrorist might point out that while “NATO” is a quality notion known in the whole world including Russia – a word of it’s own, as it were, as, say CocaCola – the word “BeÄrrDeh” is not a word of the Germ Language, and if it was, it would be killed, because it shows a lack of respect towards our country, especially popular among the top personal of the former DehDehÄrr! There was even an initiative to indict those in the BeÄrrDeh using it as terrorists and enemy agents of the DehDehÄrr (and thus of the KäjDschiBieh and the SA). Also “EG”, formerly “EWG” did not become universal, international notions, but just temporary abbreviations for temporary phenomena, everyone is free to call them names, whether in Russian or Hethitic.

While the US medias are talking big about the (fake) Russian buid up near ukraine I read on RT that the ukrainian president and the ukrainian ministry of defense said yesterday that’s there is no russian military build up near ukraine and that what the US media are doing is propaganda.
Could someone explain why the ukrainians are not following the US narrative?

This is somewhat unbelievable. You all will remember the footage of the parents lifting a baby across the barrier at the airport during the flight from Afghanistan. There were more of these incidents that happened and mostly I think the footage and pics of soldiers giving sips of water to children waiting, was just propaganda like … see how good we are and see how much we care. But they sure did not give a bottle of water to anyone in reality. Remember?
Anyway, the Chinese media reports that the baby is gone … missing … the parents have not been able to find the child. Sometimes my mind just goes a little blank.

At one time I studied Talmud with a Rabbi – not much, but long enough to inform my youthful education which was steeped in European Jewishness – I was one of the very few nominally Christian kids. Anyway, within my own understanding of the Law, the Court is 100% correct. I had been puzzled by the Israeli jabbing program because the legal opinion deriving from Talmudic Law was self-evident long ago. Even a tattoo is forbidden.
This is going to be a tough problem for the jab-o-ree agenda. No way to weasel outa dis.
My eldest, the ‘youngest in her class’, at 17, is sitting for her HSC exams today. Her graduation formal, in coming weeks, “cannot be attended by anyone who has not had the vaccination”. I am livid at the methods and downright evil tactics being imposed on people, esp. the youth, here in Australia…

My 18 year old granddaughter is also sitting her HSC today. What a horror year they have had, with disrupted learning. First time ever they have a 5 term school year. The only redeeming thing is that many Universities have given early placement based on the students Year 11 assessments. Granddaughter has been accepted already.

The forceful means employed for these vaccines, and the dilemma regarding them for the past couple of years, can only be resolved through an in-depth study about them. IMO, these “vaccines”, given under emergency use authorization, may be justified to a limited extent for the aged and those with comorbidities, but should absolutely not be taken by the young and healthy. My children are also sitting for similar exams, fortunately we don’t have such compulsion about vaccination till now, though most certainly they will be introduced in the near future, as they are tightening the screws, so to speak.
Hope your daughter and Babushka’s granddaughter do well in their exams.
Hey Babuška and Sudhi, thank you for your replies. I am doing everything I can to allay the outrage I’m feeling atm. not very successfully I might add. My daughter is a straight A student, she’s applied to a number of Universities and has been accepted by one so far, but the way it’s looking, it’s only a matter of time till the Australian Govt. succeeds in imposing compulsory vaccination on just about everybody who has any intention of having anything to do with any sort of public life. I hear they are wanting to begin with children from as young as seven years of age and that they will push for this next year.
My daughter is heartbroken b/c she can’t attend her formal after the exams and be with her friends and simply enjoy herself, they’ve had a mad year and I am so proud of how well she has come through.
I cannot consent however, since my daughter has allergies, incl. having had two anaphylaxis reactions, the second time she had the presence of mind to administer the injection herself, and sit still and keep calm in the toilet of a restaurant for 40 minutes until an ambulance arrived. She is 17 and a half years old, a year younger than her friends who have all had the vaccine + booster, and of course, “they’re all fine”. In order to attend they are asking she have two Pfizer injections in the space of three weeks… I simply cannot accept those terms, and so my daughter is in tears atm. and there’s very little I can do. I won’t be able to have control over her forever, she’ll be 18 soon, and I’m afraid she’ll give in to the pressure sooner or later.

As Mr P said, at the top of current Capitalism, the drug industry and government and big business are one, somewhat like Mussolini’s definition of Fascism. So cashlessness will actually simplify matters for controllers. It will allow unimaginable centralization and allow to cut out so many middle-men. And everything will go dark – no need for pretense of a white and black economy. Plausible deniability will be built into the new system: perhaps seedier parts of the former black economy can be blamed on East Asian or Russian actors/hackers.

This puts in perspective the recent Chinese rules to limit video-gaming duration of their youth. It was a major silent attack on youth which they belatedly counter-acted.
If you extrapolate this, and the new digital world being created in every sphere (think FB’s new name “Meta” – a literal word for “Death” in Hebrew/Arabic), then new drugs will be created, to act “digitally” on the brain (via EMF or visual stimulation of neurotransmitters).

So “staring into their cell phones” is precisely the idea. It is part of your getting your daily hit, depending on access to the “good stuff,” i.e. the most stimulating websites, which also depends on what you do for the system to get the said access.
And it would be easy to shape people’s appetites towards these new digital drugs through entertainment.
Please see the disturbing Steven Spielberg movie, “Ready Player One”, of a post-apocalyptic world where zoned-out youth spend their lives in virtual reality worlds (wearing goggles EXACTLY like Meta’s/Google’s VR goggles), each for his own purposes – for escapism from a bleak world, finding friends and a family unit, hedonism, sadism, crime, seeking of knowledge and meaning, etc..
I think for the majority in a post-truth totalitarian city, traditional drugs may be phased out… no need to worry about coercing and dealing with restive growers/producers/distributers or other parts of the supply chain – just control the electric grid and technology.

Much is unclear about these technologies to me.
I follow the trails of clinical addiction and mind manipulation.
