I read the tweets on that thread, and read many others, the hatred of Russia is palpable. So many are relishing a NATO attack on Russia and crippling sanctions. Many of them are highly educated but can’t understand how this all began, they simply flag wave based on delusional notions of democracy. What shocks me is that they can’t apply the same logic and analysis to American military threats to countries around the world. So one sided, it’s bizarre how powerful groupthink is.

Yes, the illuminated sculpture from WW’s post is a Temple Menorah but where it is placed in Kiev, I couldn’t find out, but it looks strange to me. “And I will show wonders in the heavens above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke,” Acts 2.19 — Plenty of that on the way, that indicates the wrath of God, but there is also another kind that will create magic marvels to deceive. Wow – imagine!

Great power lies behind the group think that allows educated, intelligent people to lose their reason, and I know two such from Ukraine, and have thought about this a lot. He is maths, physics teacher in Dniepropetrovsk, she, resident currently in the UK. He struggles but won’t see, she is oblivious, lovely person, but underneath blind conviction – heroism for an illusion…. I recently read the retired Russian Admiral’s report on what happened to the Kursk. Collision with NATO sub. That got me thinking perhaps the Connecticut hit, or something hit it. A more plausible take, along the lines of what I was thinking, and that they could target, hit (warning, face slap), and not sink the sub, as it was inside Chinese waters. They knew it was there and went hunting.

Something … the alt media is as dirty as the legacy media. With the chaos factor and the fear factor being ratcheted up to never before seen levels, I’m cleaning out my screetch’ometer quite radically.
One friend has been taken off my list – old friend, good times and so on and I admire his mind. But how much anti-China gibberish can one really consume? I think I learned something more about most Americans. They cannot, it is impossible for them to take responsibility. It is always somebody else’s fault. A third one out – a man with a profile, respected but he is giving so much Covid advice where his training and education is economics and finance. He makes no sense, and his advice is more fearmongering. Out!
Let me give you an example of the alt medias these days. So, I get this recommendation that there is an interesting video on Bitchute, by David Icke, Max Igan, and strangely someone that I don’t really know much about besides the name, i.e., Glenn Beck. They are ‘exposing the world’s most dangerous lies’. So, this came by recommendation otherwise I would not have paid attention though I have nothing against Icke and Igan.
The video dramatically starts with snippets of an old speech by Icke, and bits of old speeches by Igan. There is no exposition there, because there is no Icke or Igan there. Those folks are not even involved and it is a Beck so-called exposition – nobody else.
So, he is a dirtbag, trying to get people to watch him by plastering it with names that are not even there. These are the types of tactics being used nowadays.
One other one stays on the list. He says: “At the moment we largely have two polarised camps, one who implicitly believes their government’s strategy regarding covid and another which believes ludicrous conspiracy theories. Everyone needs to move into the eye of this storm. The few of us already here are waiting for you.”

Smoothiex12 had a bit about that submarine. I cannot find it now. He explained how these things happen and said the scenario of bumping into the seafloor or an undersea mount is plausible. Described some stuff about the crew and how they work.
Yes, there was a bunch of US and other warships off in the distance, but this submarine had to surface after its faceplant. It could not run submerged. The Chinese media had lots of pics of it making its way back to base surfaced.
There was this thing .. some time ago I needed a litmus test for when one should insist on writers supplying support for what they say. So, the litmus test is that one should supply support/proof if the statement would leave the reader incredulous about a statement. Like you cannot say .. the jews ate everyone’s chopped liver and left them hungry, without supplying proof of that. I did not see that support in the writing under discussion, although it was said to be ‘official’. I checked my Chinese social media sources, and not a whisper, and the folks there are virulent social media consumers. We have some friends over there.
All the Chinese media that I watched were worried about the nuclear part of the deal only .. i.e., spillage. But they granted that the sub could have had a non-updated map of the seafloor, saying that the conditions are continually changing with earthquakes and volcanos.

From what goes on in the SCS, a container or several might have fallen off a ship and not be in a recent mapping of the sea floor. Thus, an obstacle, not a sunken atol or ridge top in the topography that lidar would have missed.
amarynth, I never ‘ignore’, just taking all things under consideration….like Larch says, container on the sea floor is a possibility, I favour drone collision as leaving large pieces of unmarked litter on the sea floor is a danger for all submariners….someone on board will spill the beans at some point.

I recently overheard a conversation about the breakup of what I believe to be the balkins in the early 90’s. It tells a tale of piracy of video games to the extent that the citizens rose up against the gvt and wanted to be Americanized so that more video games and derivatives of them, were made available locally.
The gvt was like wth is going on here, no gvt admitted that this was even occurring. I dont know what became of the relationship of those citizens and their gvt. But for a gvt to allow stolen items to be used as a weapon against them does raise the concern of the mental well being of those citizens and possibly even some defendants of sharing, depending on, and on seems to go on and on.
And if you have enough of these types of citizens, eventually you get more couch potato’s and fewer truck drivers and farmers which in and of its self becomes its own self destructive mechanism making it much easier to (temporarily) smash and grab your tribes way to greatness rather than contribute in any meaningful way.
And I think that’s where we have evolved too right here right now, and headed toward, or downwards. Its a case of too many people missing too many signs despite all the missing trees.

Message to Congress on the Concentration of Economic Power

To the Congress of the United States:
Unhappy events abroad have retaught us two simple truths about the liberty of a democratic people.
The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism — ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power.
The second truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe, if its business system does not provide employment and produce and distribute goods in such a way as to sustain an acceptable standard of living.
Both lessons hit home.
Among us today a concentration of private power without equal in history is growing. This concentration is seriously impairing the economic effectiveness of private enterprise as a way of providing employment for labor and capital and as a way of assuring a more equitable distribution of income and earnings among the people of the nation as a whole.
We learnt nothing, compare this to pelosi/trump/biden/clinton/bush1&2`s “speeches” and babbling🤦♂️
