From Kazakhstan, the Book of Contemporary Kazakh Poetry
If My Paper Should Die
If my paper should die, its bones yellowed with age, let it be.
If my pen should die it will bleed to death.
That’s the unknown for you.
Rich and enlightened, listen to my poems
written on the brow
and full of the fragrant musk of sorrow.
The Sun’s energy –
its thirty-two rays are in my thirty-two teeth.
So I can even watch over the darkness,
and I can see the animal in human form.
There is an angel on the tip of my tongue.
There is an infinity inside me.
I love life tomorrow and today.
My heart carries a load heavy as the sky.
I would even fall in love with the albasty
if her dream is bright enough.
There’s even a hidden glow in the mischievous base
of my thirty-two vertebrae.
All sixty-two veins of mine form a divine root.
My sadness is a special one,
different from sorrows of the mortal.
I am like a tiny bud inside a fragrant thought,
able to perceive God as well –
I’m that poor fellow called a Poet.

Advice to the Young British Soldier:
.
.
.
Now, if you must marry, take care she is old —
A troop-sergeant’s widow’s the nicest I’m told,
For beauty won’t help if your rations is cold,
Nor love ain’t enough for a soldier.
‘Nough, ‘nough, ‘nough for a soldier . . .
If the wife should go wrong with a comrade, be loath
To shoot when you catch ’em — you’ll swing, on my oath! —
Make ‘im take ‘er and keep ‘er: that’s Hell for them both,
An’ you’re shut o’ the curse of a soldier.
Curse, curse, curse of a soldier . . .
.
.
.
If your officer’s dead and the sergeants look white,
Remember it’s ruin to run from a fight:
So take open order, lie down, and sit tight,
And wait for supports like a soldier.
Wait, wait, wait like a soldier . . .
When you’re wounded and left on [Kazakhstan’s] plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An’ go to your Gawd like a soldier.
Go, go, go like a soldier,
Go, go, go like a soldier,
Go, go, go like a soldier,
So-oldier ~of~ the Queen!

https://www.tennis.com/news/articles/novak-djokovic-yet-cleared-border-officials-wrong-visa-melbourne-australia
There was a top women’s doubles Chinese tennis player a few weeks ago who was used as battering-ram against China and the upcoming Olympics (a proven fake abduction and overall Psyop), and now it is the turn of the top men’s tennis player from Serbia, Novak Djokovic..
I have followed tennis for 40+ years, becoming competent at collegiate level and lived in Stockholm when Wilander & Edberg were #1 AND #2 briefly and won all four grand slams in 1988. Heady days for Swedes! My father met Boris Becker once; Becker also won at the nearby Swedish Kungliga Tennishallen in 1988.
This issue with Novak is incendiary on so many levels. The entire sports world is following the close race between Djokovic, Federer and Nadal who are tied at 20 Grand Slams each, for [meaningless] bragging rights of Greatest of All Time (GOAT). None are spring lambs. Every tournament counts with looming retirement. Millions invested emotionally in the tennis renaissance of the last 1.5 decade.
Federer’s stronghold was Wimbledon (8 slams), Nadal’s Roland Garros (13 slams), and Nole’s the Aussie Open, where he won 8 of last 11 (9 overall) and is defending champion, and was favored to achieve #21 here until..
(1) the Aussies pull a malicious trick – tournament organizers gave a medical exemption for required covid jab, the government gave a visa, then rescinded the visa at arrival in airport on technicality and Victoria provincial authorities refused to give special visa override. So Nole has been at the airport for 2 days and is facing a humiliating deportation like a criminal. His initial appeal was denied and faces another court hearing by Monday..
(2) That fool of Serbian leader Vucic entered the fray and exploded it, calling him “Symbol of Serbia and would fight for him,” etc.. (which technically true) but would have been better keeping quiet and working hard behind the scenes. He involved Serbian prestige, which was ridiculous risk over an Anglo-controlled sport.
(3) Morrison (#dickhead – thanks WW) gloats on Twitter over Djokovic predicament.
(4) even if sense and shame returns to Aussies, what are odds of success for Djokovic now, given his internment at airport for at least 5 days without time to practice and prepare for the imminent tournament, which could be biggest of his career to overcome two men he was chasing as a third wheel since 2008?! These top athletes are like high-strung race horses and need their preparatory routines just to get off the racing blocks..
(5) Clearly a major emotional and political war consolidation is taking place in the Anglosphere, like the infamous AUKUS, and slavs being demonized, especially Serbians. The contemptuous way Djokovic and Vucic were handled may have reverberations in Balkans and embolden enemies. You should see the hatred pouring forth on Djokovic in Anglo tennis websites and MSM, over the exemption etc.. And his was a consistent principled position against medical intervention for decades (suffering from allergies and asthma and perhaps being anti-authority). Madness reigns among pundits, peers and fans alike.
Another sign indicating the lack of a peaceful resolution with the Borg.
Djokovic could not have arrived at a “better” or >worse< time.
He threw #dickhead – an almost completely drowned man- an ECG lifeline.
That hot bored weekend when all of Australia was lethargic from too much booze, holidays, heat and the built up frustration of two years of covid / government bullish!t.
That weekend was a horror show for Morrison. Twitter was on fire, and I suppose FB and the rest. If you ever wanted to Maiden Australia …. That was the weekend.
For those that believe vaxx is the solution, in the past 2 years Morrison has stuffed up and stuffed again and again. First, govt did not order enough, and the “stroll out” of eligibility sent those that wanted the jab, and couldn’t get it, into incandescent rage.
#Dickhead has now failed to order rapid antigen tests RATS… which people want so they can visit family and cross borders…. Morrison also then allowed his donors to profit from price gouging.
Two years of lock down, inconsistency, mixed messaging and incompetence at a level beyond comprehension …..
and Djokovic walked right into this maelstrom of twittery anger.
Vaxx. Is the absolute lightening rod issue here.
It does appear a contrived sacrifice and way to distract Aussies in addition to larger war aims.
This issue was building for weeks though in the tennis community.. Djokovic was coy about his status. A clash of some sort appeared likely over his attendance. And he is popular in the locker room. The way it was done though was so shameful, especially in eyes of old-guard; remember the genteel pretensions of tennis, the “sport of kings!” Err, before southern redneck Jimbo’s crotch-grabbing, NYC Super Brat tantrums and public meltdowns and other rebels appeared. Nevertheless the establishment likes its pretensions.
In past, Oz Open was ignored by top players up to the 1990s, as too far/insignificant/inconvenient in timing. It may return to that with current behavior, especially if tick off majority European top players.
Business/Image shapers may yet reverse his deportation to avert this catastrophe, so we will see. And Djokovic’s a very resilient fighter, at his best in adversity.
I was initially a Nadal fan but warmed to his heart, fight and balanced approach.
These current events will leave a foul taste in mouths of many, even his enemies, as it’s so ridiculous.
OK, this is black black comedy. So as you can think a lot of Kazakhstan information is pouring in. And the boss is away at their Nativity (fully available but still I don’t like to hassle him now if I can help it).
So, I’m burning the hours, but that is not a new thing.
Confessions: This is a new thing. I am working with tears in my eyes. This is so heavily important, but I keep flashing to scenes in that movie, Borat, which was a black black comedy, and then I cry with laughter and work all at the same time.
Guess there will be a need for spiritual help or alcohol or something very soon now lol.
Isn’t the difference of two days amazing?! The air smells cleaner, the food tastes better. Even the birds are singing so sweetly again! I hope you are feeling better and your good cheer has returned. We need to savor every little victory.
I agree with a sharp observer on the smoothie comments section who said this Kazakhstan fiasco was a sting operation. Russians knew it was coming and pre-triggered it according to their own timing by raising the fuel prices ( the ‘go signal’ for protests, as in many recent color coups; greedy liberal elites can be played at will by economic hitmen to trigger their own fall). This then sped up everything just like the Ultimatum. Double helix tandem seem to want to close these cases before the Olympics …. Nevertheless keep your seat belt on we’re still on the ride. And thanks for burning the midnight oil and your sitreps

This was a shocking development of the opening of a maritime front by the Ansarallah (Houthis) in the critical Bab Al Mandeb of the southern Red Sea, leading to the Suez Canal passage and then to the Med Sea. Both sides are suffering the agony of 1,000 little knife cuts. Recall this is the route of most EU-China trade and EU petroleum products from Persian Gulf.. The largest U.S.anthracite deposits are in Pennsylvania supplier to Ukraine which was close to being taken out recently by an airburst meteor which acts the same as an air detonated nuke.
The Coal Region or Pennsylvania Anthracite Region or fields is home to the largest known deposits of anthracite coal found in the Americas, with an estimated reserve of seven billion short tons.

NASA says meteor, which acts the same as a nuke or shell detonated in air.
Tremendous Explosion Spotted in Skies Over Pennsylvania Could Possibly be a Meteor
By Precious Smith Jan 03, 2022 09:59 AM EST
“Could This Event be an Airburst?
There is a chance this meteor explosion event is an “airburst”. When an anti-personnel artillery shell or a nuclear bomb is detonated in the air rather than when it makes direct impact with the ground or a target, it is known as a “airburst.”
The same thing may happen if a meteor flies into the Earth’s atmosphere and blows up. Some airbursts may do severe damage to the earth and knock down trees, blow out windows, or even cause structural damage, depending on how near they occur to the ground and/or how huge the meteor initially was.”
https://www.natureworldnews.com/articles/48761/20220103/explosion-spotted-over-pennsylvania-could-possibly-be-a-meteor.htm
So now two coincidences – This airburst and the explosion in Baltimore coal facilities which exports to Ukraine.
https://nypost.com/2021/12/30/baltimore-shockwave-from-huge-csx-plant-explosion-rocks-city/
FEMA’s latest draft document has been updated and expanded to provide guidance for a wider range of nuclear detonations, including larger detonations and air bursts. It also includes information on the Integrated Public Alert & Warning System (IPAWS) which enables local officials to send warnings and key messages during the response.
This updated guidance also reflects evolving nuclear threats facing the country, including “nation-state threats with much larger explosive yields.” Guidance also considers nuclear devices delivered by ballistic missile or aircraft which can deliver detonations elevated in the air. According to FEMA, “air bursts can increase the scale of the blast and thermal damage inflicted and may also significantly reduce the fallout produced.”

What about aliens? An alien f@rted and then and then.
Reminds me of 10 year old boys and their creative explanations for events.
I guess they can rely on
1/ no one paying attention
2/ those that inadvertently noticed, being willing to believe anything
3/ mocking those who know why a particular coal plant has been targeted
Thanks for the comment. It gave me a laugh😀
In period of tension incoming objects that explode must be considered as warnings. I recall the learned Rabbi who taught > ” when G-d wishes to speak to man, first He whispers, then, if man does not listen, He throws rocks.”
Accordingly I assume the object was sent as a warning. Since magic deus ex machina actions are, at the least, rare events, I assume the explosion of “meteor” was result of man made machine. Obviously the explosion was not atomic…no emp. That leaves chemical explosion – and nothing else…
In news reports at the time they blathered on about weather satellites being used to discover what “it” was…which is bald nonsense and stinks of diversion. That buttressed my view. Everybody knows NORAD has nifty equipment. Whatever it was, they’re in the loop.
I figure that the crack and splutter of bullets often is indication that somebody is shooting.

The somewhat hyperbolic Hal Turner has posted some interesting material on the Kstan affair….free stuff.
“VIDEO: Ferocious Gun Battles as West Tries to Overthrow Kazakhstan Gov’t Just Like They Did to Ukraine ”
and
“U.S. & E.U. Can’t Grab Ukraine Without a Fight . . . So They’re Overthrowing Government of Kazakhstan ”
The most interesting aspect is Comrade Hall’s audience…mostly US persons. And his frank and bald way of seeing. Of course, we must recall that jail on bogus charges does tend to clarify the mind, and Comrade Hal’s been there.
Worth watching Hal’s videos.
……….
Lodestar, the airburst “meteor” story does smell, eh? I would like to see an air sample. I bet VVP has one on his desk.
It happens that I know about coal and coke dust control…speaking of the Baltimore affray…and I have 2 remarks. What does the video show as the propagation velocity frame by frame? It looks too fast for a dust explosion. It’s not possible to get a coal dust explosion when the dust control system is running, and the systems are interlocked, eg no conveyor can start until the sucking ID blowers are stable and all the differential pressures are in spec. ie explosions is not possible, so somebody is lying. That said, RDX and primer-cord can initiate a secondary coal explosion…which is what I see in the Baltimore videos.
Mark’s Handbook has some stuff on coal dust and dust control. Unlike wiki, Mark’s is printed on paper and has been in print since the flood.
BTW coal slow oxidation fires are easy to prevent by means of coal crusher <10mm, which prevents autoignition in situ. I will say that these crushers are difficult to maintain – few qualified to fixem. Like maybe 5 guys in the US. But a fire is not what happened…

I never kept at any employer-occupation more than 6 years, never graduated from any school – in fact the library and the workshop were my favorite places to hide.
I sure miss the “old left”. The “left” of now looks like piebald fascism to me. “Mostly peaceful” rioters and arsonists are self-evidently Schlagwortnazis.
Regarding “exploding meteors” – if it was a kinetic warning, it doesn’t make sense as a general threat. The Crazy Faction couldn’t care less if the entire US population is incinerated or starved via downed grid; they are counting on their mine shafts and DUMBs. they may actually see it as assistance on their culling to-do list. Hitting just 9 substations in US with simple explosives would down electric grid for about 18 months, killing 9 in 10. According to talking head Ted Koppel, the preferred mechanism would be cyberwarfare, per his 2015 book predicting the coming blackout. And Pennsylvania appears to have 1 of those 4 substations in the Eastern US. Narratives have been prepared with “hacking Russians” for future continued attribution and exercised in Cyber Polygon.
https://www.studentnewsdaily.com/daily-news-article/u-s-risks-national-blackout-from-small-scale-attack/
Rather, the threat requires a focused bombardment demonstration on deep structures, as was done to Lafarge’s network of cement tunnels and bases in Syria. Or similar to what was done to SF nests. Something to focus the deciders and their top lieutenants. At this point, this may be penultimate card to play to stave off the conflagration.
Incidentally, Coal is still high energy source in US electricity generation, used 1/5 of the time. The coal shenanigans continue relentlessly towards dark winter..
https://www.eia.gov/energyexplained/electricity/electricity-in-the-us.php
And what is with Pennsylvania? Some of the most serene and pastoral landscapes in the nation (I enjoyed driving through it a lot, unlike downstate NY or much of southern New England) but a very dark side. Is it a satanic hive under the surface, a convenient location between NYC and DC for elite rendezvous? I recall that shocking Jerry Sandusky
Penn State child sex abuse scandal
which was quickly hushed and appeared merely the tip of the spear, including connections to RC priests and DC. Philly was air-bombed in past decades by its cops! On the medical side, there was an exodus of obstetricians due to liability and hostile practicing environment.. expectant mothers would drive a distance to Virginia and Maryland to deliver. Somewhat anti-life. That creepy Senator Arlen Specter of Warren Commission fame and other coverups was its don. A strange state. Like Kazakhstan, it had a superficial wealthy gloss with violent undercurrents – a lot of rust belt and exploited folks quietly sharpening pitch forks and reviewing molotov recipes. Sensible Amish hoping to stay out of the crazy fray too.
Pennsylvania…well the anglosaxon landing and diaspora in NA began at Penn, when iron and coal and timber and disposable nations permitted a forward operating base that concentrated contradictions in morals. I would recall the contradiction in Quakers…one faction sees wealth and power as proof of Jesus’ love, while another will risk everything to free a slave. The bifurcations are not compatible. You may recall that I am from old Quaker families. Those Amish boys? In Ohio I once watched them stealing beer while their co-conspirators decoyed the driver…normal boys, it was fun to watch.
I note that optimization of complex systems, like power grid, decreases the time to failure – no serious smashing is necessary…for example, very few spare transformers exist, nor do many insulating bushings, every incremental cheapening makes catastrophic event nearer in time and more metastatic. GT power stations cannot stockpile…they live at the end of a pipe. Coal stations, on the other hand are more efficient and conservative, and way easier to repair. And they can stockpile mountains of fuel on site. I suppose it’s obvious that all this stuff is a BFT for any criminal with a weapon. I was once told by a manager at a big gas company that their pipes across the Mojave were occasionally perforated by vandals – that was in the 1960’s. Like Steinbeck said in Moon is Down, dynamos wreck themselves. Good story too. As to the esteemed fine gentlemen and the idea that they want a war to liquidate the useless eaters…no argument from me. They worship death. BTW use “useless eaters” (Nutzlosen Essern) as searchterm… Some may see similarities to Action T4 and the pogroms of 3rd Reich in the East. Ref also https://www.sahra-wagenknecht.de/ Frau Sara is beginning to realize the implications of the curious ways of events in Germany…the “obviously illogical” actions add up, and the lady is beginning to suspect who’s on first, ie realize that the actions are logical, and what that means. Geewhiz I miss the “old left”.

Old Satan’s Tree
Well, Billy he had a bone to pick,
And Seb said he wanted to even the score.
We followed that trail to the old dry gulch,
And on through the heart of the withered moor.
We caught ol’ Satan lurking about,
Down in the ruins of a killing spree;
We strung him up in a big old oak,
Henceforth to be known as Old Satan’s Tree.
In the morning that old belier was gone,
The rope was charred, he’d spun some charm.
And everywhere we went all that we saw,
Was death and destruction and people doing harm!
Now, the years have passed but the trail’s still hot,
We’re old and we’re grey but we still remain three.
Each day I pray to the Lord above;
This time he won’t escape Old Satan’s Tree!
Sco Mo had a great chance to make a giant step forward and end the medical discrimination but instead chose to punish the jabfree even more. There could be more to this political farce … the following letter is from Bishop of Serbian Church to Scomo. [it does mention forbidden topic but I hope the mods will allow it through]
Prime Minister, Do the Right Thing!
6th January 2022
Prime Minister of Australia
The Hon. Scott Morrison MP
PO Box 6022
House of Representatives, Parliament House Canberra ACT 2600
Respected Prime Minister,
Today, on Orthodox Christmas Eve I have been beset with requests from Serbian Orthodox faithful
and others to appeal to you to ‘do the right thing’ and exercise your ministerial discretion and
override the Australian Border Force decision to cancel Novak Djokovic’s visa, thus allowing him to
compete at the 2022 Australian Open.
The information I am receiving, points to bureaucratic mishandling on the part of the ABF. Home
Affairs issued his visa. ABF personnel must have checked his passport prior to boarding his flight
from Dubai, following which he was routinely interrogated in Melbourne before the ABF cancelled
his visa. It bodes the question, why Novak Djokovic was issued a visa in the first place? Was ABF
unaware of the impending arrival of Djokovic? If not, on the basis of what did they decide to cancel
his visa?
I have it on good authority that the ABF most likely invoked s116 of the Migration Act as justification
for the cancellation. I am told that s116 is used to expel threatening and controversial individuals
from these shores. People justifiably ask; at exactly what point did the World Number One become a
threat to our great nation? Or did he at all? Others maintain there is a much more sinister, populistic
motivation sub-plot to this unfortunate chain of events.
As an Australian, born, raised and residing in much maligned Western Sydney, I can assure you that
the majority of people in this and associated councils that continue to struggle through the Covid
pandemic, are deeply troubled and disappointed at what is unfolding before our eyes.
Novak Djokovic is revered by many in the Serbian and broader Australian community. It is a great
pity that the atmosphere of the impending Australian Open has been tarnished by this unsavoury
and completely avoidable debacle. I wish you well in your efforts to return some semblance of order
and dignity to the process.
With Best Wishes,
+ Siluan

Scenes outside Detention Centre where Novak is being held as political prisoner
https://youtu.be/so90EH0YZRg
Hi Bubushka, Novak, instead of trying to circumvent the Mandate, should have stood tall and Boycotted the games. The reaction from the other players, all forced to get vaxxed or not play, spoken volumes.
I tried for an exemption based on my medical history of blood clot related heart attacks. Doc basically said I’d have to be dying to get one, otherwise his licence would be on the line as per The College of Physicians directive.
Novak could have used the situation as a source of good not greed. A bit harsh, maybe, but you either stand up, or roll your sleeve up…
Cheers M
First they came for our minds (fear and numbers) – I said no
Then they came for our bodies (jibber jabber 1 .. 2 … now 3) – I said no
Then they came for our soul ( coersion and punishment, second class citizens locked out of society) – I said no
There is a great spiritual awakening down under because people (even the double jabbed) now realise Australia has become a prison … so the rest of the world should watch carefully .
Once you wake up, you can’t go back to sheep.
Novak is a political prisoner.
One day he was just the world no.1 tennis player, the next day he is a beacon of hope for the entire freedom movement, especially in Australia.
His actions will empower and encourage millions of people to hold their heads high and keep fighting for their rights. He has become so much more to us than a famous tennis player, he is now our hero, our leader, and our beacon of hope.
He isn’t folding under the pressure, he is fighting it till the end. Based on his father’s comments, which you can see below, his family is proud of his fortitude.

Tennis was a racket invented in England. An ancient game all about how best to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt and beat your opponent with speed, style and panache – the jolly old English, what a lot we owe them!
Tennis
Summer cabins with rough log walls
Where a hand organs quavers rise;
Flying high on its own, a ball
Magically lures as it flies.
Who is this, his passions cooled
Under garments of Alpine snow
Who begins this Olympic duel
With a sportive girl as his foe?
The lyre strings were worn and split
The Englishman cannot grow old:
He put strings on a golden racket
And tossed in into the world !
Performing the rites of the game
With taut and fragile weaponry
Attic warriors were just the same
Each in love with his enemy !
May. Scraps of black cloud
Cast a blight upon everything green
Motors everywhere blaring horns —
Lilacs reeking of gasoline
Now the jolly athlete drains
A dipper filled at the spring;
Then the battle is joined again,
A bare arm flashing !
Mandelstam
game, set and match;
there comes a time when it’s time
to lay down the racket
An elephant from afar
Hailed the poet Dimitar
And said good naturedly ‘now listen to me
(Young man) :
The economy of metaphoric historic verse
Grand-slams tennis’ economy of movement
English politics and word-game playing to boot!’
Ratcheting up his theme a notch he then sprayed
The listening green lawn courts with cool fresh water
Before asking; ‘shall I perhaps elucidate?’
‘You see the poem is full of metaphor –
(tho’ I’d hate to be a crushing bore …’)
The racket rise, the racket fall,
Before One God, above it all
Creator, Father, Lover, Friend
Brother, Husband, Master lends
A Hand to end all strife
Before the end
Of this dark life.
How did we choose?
I fear in tally lose
Inheritance, unless through Him
All is reset again.
Oh Lord of all
Before we fall
Let our call
For Mercy

Modern tennis derives from sphairistike (1873), from Greek sphairistike (tekhnē) “(skill) in playing at ball,” from the root of sphere. So, back to the Greeks – Olympian Alpine garments of white snow !
Janice that’s marvellous, the elephant has wandered off in disgust !
The golden racket tossed into the world by the jolly, carefree English could represent the gift of sovereignty, why not, colonialism being its opposite, the inversion of, upside down, evil expression of the right of universal freedom, to adopt and uphold an ideal, to think rationally, apply reason to, be creative, all that is individualized and God-given. The contested ‘one world government’ outcome is colonialisms logical conclusion. It’s creeping closer, fasten the seatbelts, what I once thought belonged to the future is breaking in on us.
to be or not to be;
to see or not to see,
to know or not to know…
it’s all up to me
to fly or crawl or swim,
not up to her or he
nor she nor it nor him
it’s all up to me
to sing or laugh or cry
to sigh or wheep or moan
not up to how or why
but up to me alone
to be or not to be
to see or not to see
to know or knot to know…
it’s all up to me
Ps… I hope that the careful observer notes that, in my ‘nonsense verse’,
above – along with the old-fashioned and once exclusive
gender denominations, ( verse 2 ) – I have included the newly added,
“it”, and therefore cannot be accused of ‘insensitivity’ or any other
potential accusation re: discrimination, as we free-thinking types,
sometimes are.😉
modern tennis yes ..but developed late 1800s from France 16th century.
Well, there was a short burst of gaiety, spontaneous idealism, prayer and nonsense verse, including the most critical topic on earth today, (tennis of course!) spear headed from Russia, why not ?
Watch how quick and responsive the Russians are.

Escobar says- “Significantly, the “rebels” maintained their national coordination even after the internet was disconnected.”
Immediately Putin sends electonic warfare and says goodbye to national coordination.
From the Drive not a friendly site but factual-just change the adjectives.
The inclusion of the Leer-3 system, which consists of the Kamaz truck and between two and three specially configured Orlan-10 drones, is particularly interesting. The truck serves as the ground control center for these small unmanned aircraft, which carry small electronic warfare jammers.
They are primarily intended to scramble cellphone communications, something that does seem like it would be very useful for a regime looking to break up large-scale demonstrations. This capability would help prevent protestors from coordinating with each other, as well as further prevent them from sending out pictures or videos documenting abuses on the part of government security forces. Officials in Kazakhstan already hit the country with a major internet blackout yesterday in a clear effort to conceal what was going on as reports of crackdowns in various cities first began to emerge.
Orlan-10 drones also carry full-motion video cameras and, while their range is relatively limited, could be used to help monitor continued protests and otherwise provide improved situational awareness to CSTO commanders.
The imagery from the Russian Ministry of Defense, including the video seen below, also showed another Kamaz truck with a large dish mounted on top of the rear end of the vehicle, which led some to speculate that this was another electronic warfare system. However, this appears to be a mobile command post vehicle carrying a communications suite to support the deployed forces.
A similar command truck and Leer-3 system were among the vehicles that made up the initial elements of a different peacekeeping force that the Russian government sent to Armenia in 2020 after brokering a deal to bring an end to a brief war between that country and neighboring Azerbaijan. This would seem to suggest that these vehicles are components of at least a semi-standardized force package for these kinds of missions.

this is way off topic from what all the other comments are like, but I don’t where else to ask this question…
Now, I don’t believe what the US MSM writes, and I rarely read it, except for the headlines, which I read in order to see what new fake narratives these flakes have concocted.
So I have never believed that West’s claims that President Assad is a dictator who kills his own people. I’ve seen pictures of him and his wife visiting poor people in their homes, and walking through villages. The people seem to love him.
The other day I read something about him doing something evil to his people (sorry, my memory function was compromised in my second of two strokes), but I don’t remember exactly what was said or what source said it. I just remember that it made me wonder if it might be true, that the good doctor did these things.
So my question is: does anyone know if there is any truth to the West’s narrative about Mr. Assad being a bad actor who commits crimes against his own people?
Thanks!
Patrick
Patrick, at that level I don’t think anyone is as pure as the driven snow. I’m sure he has done some things somewhere.
But, taking care of his people, that is absolutely for sure. The man walks around without security guards in the streets. He is not hated, but he is loved.

I note the Dylan song was from 1964!
Sorry to sound like a broken record, but what a distressing year, no wonder he was crooning about ww3.
I still have nightmares about Like a Rolling Stone from a roommate who played him nonstop for one year. Maybe I underwent a modified Ludovico technique experiment (Clockwork Orange)?
The current situation is bizarre.
The bigwigs of the Anglosphere may be mutely disengaging from one another? The pressure is kinda intense. The British appear to be ponying up largely alone in this fiasco, overextended, no longer nimble and frankly sclerotic and nicely enveloped in a cauldron which is the world’s ninth largest country. Those who once boasted their top navy ran on “rum, buggery and the lash” are now assuming the classic position in front of entire world. Will be interesting to know the caught or identified “foreign trainers.”
Some say it could be a British play to spoil the big meeting in 2-3 days, but what about a move to [crazily] reassert independently of sinking and panicked Americans? Did an American faction finally renege on old Cecil Rhodes’ contract and big evil plan? And so Lilliputians are gallantly dashing at Gulliver Bear, quaint echoes of mid-19th century Crimea?
Even liars occasionally tell the truth, so maybe the WH spokeswoman WAS telling the truth. Even though NED and usual suspects funded much of the NGOs, Kazakstan has been wooed by the British for a generation now. Recall Asian front was responsibility of Brits and European of the Nazis/US heirs. Blair and the old man were thick as thieves – one wrote speeches for the other in London and the other wrote big checks on the Steppe. I remember most of the deployed extremists, if from Afghan, were husbanded by British in the NE and E provinces of the Hindu Kush as reported by Pepe last August. So this may be an interesting development @ bandit HQ.
Today, I finally asked my old man about this imbroglio. The madness of poking a Bear who can & is willing to fight back, just after an Ultimatum, right on his other border. He didn’t miss a beat. “Anglosaxons are poor. They have no resources. They cannot stop highway-robbing, even after the Ultimatum, because otherwise they will starve.” It misses nuance and is stripped of boiler plate but has clarity. So object will keep advancing at the immovable obstacle. It worked for 10,000 years, so we will carry on. We will find a way to squeeze milk and honey out of frozen tundra potatoes. Tragic, like Romeo and Juliet; we know the ending. What a wasted potential, but the madness consumes them even when a part wants to reflexively withdraw to save themselves.
PS – did you catch the Poet mussing his hair ?!!

To use a street tennis term, he was backhanding them like they were two-bit punks! That was the signal to me that the fat lady has sung on this CSTO training opportunity, haha!
And if we survive the next months, me thinks you may be right about a mixed MP force – current events are most suggestive. As Col Gen Serdyukov said, in Briefing Pt #4: “…It was a good test for the ATA to move a substantial contingent over long distances. I am sure it will come in handy in the future.” The Bear is leaving his lair.
PPS – thanks Lodestar. Satisfying after-action reports of military-technical! The last fig-leaves are being stripped away
I am finding the RT website really subversive at the moment. Anyone else? There are hardly any articles by writers which truly discuss what is going on in Kazakhstan and the titles are very like the MSM. The news on tv is ok though.
I am not going to put the links as everyone can visit and read – if you want to – at the RT site.
For example – A title starting with “Russian led block….” instead of CSTO – exactly the same language at Sky news. Today an op-ed titled: “Is Putin set on conquering Europe at any cost?” and another one “‘Nationalists are on the rise’: How protests in Kazakhstan turned violent….”. Really – nothing to do with an attempted coup/color revolution and all the US and its stooges years of influence? Note the use of the word protesters in this title “Kazakh president authorizes use of lethal force against protesters” – he never did – he clearly stated armed terrorists and bandits – never protesters. Lastly, there was another article by some guy from the Valdai Club “Kazakhstan intervention sees Russia set a new precedent” – who literally was just a Western talking piece full of utter tripe – I regretted clicking on the link. Just a few examples of the language used.
Apart from factual pieces – every other article on Kazakhstan has been completely “Western” orientated by all anti-Russian Government writers……since 2018 their website has gone really downhill. The 5th column are very settled there. Such a shame.
Whereas Sputnik has good articles like this:
https://sputniknews.com/20220107/coincidence-us-foreign-ngos-may-have-played-key-role-in-social-unrest-in-kazakhstan-expert-says-1092101738.html
Yes, RT is far from what it might be. Some time ago Margarita Simonyan “tweeted” that her personal desire was that the USSR be re-established, presumably in a viable and prosperous form. I find that sentiment inconsistent with what we see and hear from RT, but propaganda is served up for an audience – and Sakerites are probably not the target, eh? The British black and grey propaganda in WW2, for example, is worth examination. To be fair about the tweet, it seemed impulsive, but honest. As to term “propaganda”, these days everything has this quality – algebra can be propaganda. Those crafty Arabs!
It may be that the “style manual” for RT is crafted to avoid cognitive dissonance in the minds of people who ordinarily drink at the CNN or PBS fountains. Seen that way, sputnik and RT are a pair, each with a different audience. Seen that way, the disappointing quality of RT now may indicate that they are broadening their US audience…then…later…RT will gradually become “better”. It’s a dynamic process.
Taking the long view, Margareta’s desire to see USSR 2.0 will probably be fulfilled – it’s the way of the land peoples, the people of the Earth Island. The flow of History. Of course the foundations cannot be ideological, they must be practical and for the good. BTW the lady lived in the US for a time and was very fond of her “American mom” – who is, sadly, now dead. She lived with a good family.
I expect RT will change as the correlation of forces changes…and That is changing fast.
For myself, I miss the shortwave broadcasts from Cuba and Russia. Hilltop & long wire antenna and earphones late at night, coyotes singing. The Cuban transmitter was quirky and recognizable, and quite often one would hear number station transmissions from the Cuban transmitter…trekool.
Speaking of number stations…I assume that Cuba does run agents in the US and does use number stations and OTP encryption, but also speculate that simply transmitting numbers, even when there are no agents, would keep the intel fellas employed looking for the people that do not exist. Cute. Crypto has many aspects. One is to clog the enemy’s ability, spoof the enemy. Create legions of false clues and imaginary spies. Is it possible to differentiate between sets of random numbers and say that one set is actually encrypted real data, and another simply random numbers – thus focusing the decrypt on the correct set and not on the fake? A mathematician friend and I sat down and puzzled over that question. It’s easy to imagine a machine that generated “nullcrypto” to spew traffic with zero information, thus clogging the fancy and expensive intel computers. It’s prudent to assume that’s been built – it’s science fair level stuff. We were not able to conceive of a method to discriminate. The idea relates to steganographic methods.
Cuba and China agreement goes beyond a BRI adhesion with financial integration giving Cuba freedom to embrace an alternative payment system to SWIFT. Finally free and right in the backyard of the U.S.

Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas signs the cooperation plan between the Chinese government and the Cuban government on jointly promoting the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), December 24, 2021. /Embassy of Cuba in the People’s Republic of China
Editor’s note: Elias Jabbour is a professor in the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the State University of Rio de Janeiro. The article reflects the author’s opinions and not necessarily the views of CGTN.
At the end of 2021, the chairman of China’s National Development and Reform Commission, He Lifeng, and Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas signed a cooperation plan between the Chinese government and the Cuban government on joint promotion of the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Relations between China and Cuba have experienced notable advances since 1993. Throughout that period, high-level government delegations have visited the Caribbean island 22 times, while Cuban leaders have been to China 25 times. These relations have also gained relevance and a strategic character since the end of the Soviet Union and the socialist bloc.
In 1995, a famous embrace between Jiang Zemin, who was the Chinese president at the time, and then Cuban leader Fidel Castro sealed the beginning of a fruitful and noble relationship. On the occasion of the Cuban revolutionary leader’s death, China’s President Xi Jinping personally visited the Cuban embassy in Beijing to convey the condolences of the Chinese people. It was the first time that a head of state had entered a foreign embassy since 1949. Symbolism holds notions of politics and sovereignty that go beyond the short term.
In the commercial field, this relationship also gained prominence gradually. Over the years, a series of agreements have been signed covering a number of areas, from agriculture to biotechnology. In 2016, China became Cuba’s biggest trading partner.
It should be noted that the terms of Cuba’s trade relations with the rest of the world are very difficult. For example, the cost of imperialism’s sadistic blockade of the island raises the risk of countries and companies doing business with Cuba, which makes Cuban exports much cheaper and imports too expensive. Also, the financial blockade tightened by the Donald Trump administration raised the country’s difficulties to a new peak since the end of the USSR, when Cuba lost 70 percent of its foreign market and source of foreign exchange.
For all this, not only can’t we relativize the effect of the blockade in any analysis involving Cuban political and economic dynamics, but we must also observe the importance of the relations between the two socialist countries, which are permeated both by principles and a long-term vision.

It is against this background that we must understand Cuba’s admission to the BRI. Within an environment where Nicaragua re-establishes diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China while imperialism increases its intervention in Chinese internal affairs, Cuba’s entry into the BRI is an important agenda in the chessboard of international geopolitics. In fact, in addition to the Chinese economic weight, there is recognition by China of Cuba’s strategic location.
Due to its position in the Caribbean, China’s presence in Cuba can influence the maritime approach of the southeastern U.S., which contains vital sea routes that lead to the ports of U.S. cities Miami, New Orleans and Houston. Furthermore, as the late South African leader Nelson Mandela used to say, Cuba’s influence in the world, with its armies of doctors, is far greater than the size of the country itself.
A first analysis of the document signed between the two countries shows that the agreement goes way beyond a Cuban adhesion to the BRI. Indeed, it’s the first comprehensive agreement between the two countries. The part concerning the so-called financial integration between the two countries caught my attention, considering that China and Russia have just signed a large letter of intent on the formation of an alternative payment system to SWIFT, which is currently controlled by the United States. In this sense, we must bear in mind the complementary role of a new international financial engineering system involving both this alternative to SWIFT and the emergence of the digital renminbi.
It’s interesting to remember that the Barack Obama administration elevated the coercive status of the dollar, turning it into a veritable weapon of mass destruction. Dollar resources allocated in foreign banks by countries not aligned with the U.S. are no longer valid for the purchase of food and medicine, for example. Senior citizens and children suffer from hunger and disease in countries like Venezuela and Syria caused by exchange crises related to the cancelation of these countries from the SWIFT system.
In other words, we are not dealing with a simple agreement between friends and comrades, but with what could be Cuba’s exit door from the financial blockade imposed by imperialism and also the opening of a new field of possibilities for countries under intense sanctions such as Cuba, Russia, Iran, Syria, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Venezuela.
Let us await with great attention the next steps of this agreement and others that will come with more countries on the periphery of the system. What we are watching is history unfolding before our eyes.

Uhm, haven’t been here for days, it feels like.
Anyway, we’re on the runway.
🇷🇺🇺🇸 Russian interministerial delegation headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey #Ryabkov arrived in Geneva to take part in the Russian-US security talks.

Two notes from China.
All of the regulars that I follow are noticing a clear uptick in the anti-China rhetoric. Manufacturing consent is alive and well and it is wall to wall China bad, China committing genocide, Chinese people ugly like bugs and probably bad ET’s (I kid you not), culminating in We Have to Fight Them!. These regulars tell the story of even their own friends and family falling for it, and they’re having to either fight or remove themselves from friends and family. All of them are reporting tremendous polarity being inculcated in the normal conversation.
The other bit is interesting – hold onto your hats. There is a conversation among the people that these meetings are in reality going to be ‘surrender talk’ and that real peace may breakthrough. The idea here is that the US is on the brink of economic implosion and collapse, and nobody really wants that to happen in an uncontrolled manner, because of the effects on the rest of the world – so, economically it will be reset for them. So, the conversation is about giving the US a fair way out. It is up to them to become sane or not. (I know, I know, sounds like a fairy story but miracles do happen!)

Happy Sunday!
And then just when I psyched myself up, that there may be a glimmer of hope here, this tweet from Pepe Escobar:
Pepe Escobar
@RealPepeEscobar
The Russian delegation, led by Ryabkov, is already in Geneva.
He’s taking no prisoners: already hinting that US/NATO do not want to understand Russia.
There will be NO Russian concessions.
So Monday might well turn out to be the ONLY meeting.
Over to Mr. Zircon.
————————
Mr P taught me to pay attention to the Hyperbolic Hal. In last days he not only achieved escape velocity from the gravitational orbit field, he became a veritable flaming comet.
One of his red-flag metrics to watch was a broken off or very brief Us-Russia meeting. And he expects US-noncompliance to activate the Big Dance by Jan 11?!
See other shocking developments:

@Amarynth
Yes Sputnik has a good article on the Russian view of this meeting that was published a couple of hours ago and backs up Pepe’s tweet:
https://sputniknews.com/20220109/russia-will-not-bow-to-us-pressure-or-make-any-concessions-deputy-fm-says-ahead-of-geneva-meeting-1092126786.html
“…..The diplomat stressed that Moscow is “very disappointed” by signals from Washington and Brussels ahead of the meeting on the security guarantees proposed by Russia last month.
“In a nutshell, they reflect a lack of understanding of what we need. And we need legal guarantees, legal guarantees that NATO will not expand further; elimination of everything that the alliance has created driven by anti-Russian phobias and all sorts of misconceptions about the essence of Russian policy since 1997,” Ryabkov explained……The US-Russia strategic stability dialogue may not go into another day if Washington ignores Moscow’s interests, Ryabkov said. “If we start beating about the bush and see no sign that the other side is ready to recognise our priorities and respond to them constructively there will be no point in talking,” the Russian deputy foreign minister added……”
The US via its CIA mouth piece, the NYT, has laid out it threats to Russia pre-meeting:
Basically, apart from sanctions – the US is going to make Ukraine Afghanistan/Mujahedeen 2 …….Europe/EU is going to regret what it has sown in its own backyard – there will be severe blowback from these insurgents who will be well armed on European soil………
https://sputniknews.com/20220109/us-penning-punishing-sanctions-against-russia-in-case-of-invasion-of-ukraine—report-1092122855.html
It puts another spoke in the wheel and you can see why the Russians know this meeting may/will be a waste of time…
Well if the Orcs start with their bullshit in ernest, Canada to begin sending arms, Russia will have to fry them real good, once and for all…..enough petty clap trap from the US and EU, hit all the Off ammo dumps identified in pre targeting, and eliminate all Orc Comand and Control Centres, NATO staff and all. Any missiles fired from outside the Ukraine, those locations should be vaporized also and if some westerner wants to up the Red Button anty…….game on. The time for pillow talk is over.
Cheers M
Hal pal sounds like he’s onto the money and the non gravitational orbit hunker down all thanks for links saw these mentioned yesterday and not posted – now with updates…………
