I honestly cannot understand why the tens of millions of ME victims of US wars of aggression don’t launch a class action compensation case.

Ergo it seems to me that someone must be legally accountable before the Courts for all the death and destruction visited by the US military upon innocent civilians.
Then if universal jurisdiction (UJ) means that people like Julian Assange can be subject to US law then everyone subject to UJ should be able to use it to sue for justice in US Courts.

Of the 300-some comments, one brags about how, once the Power of Siberia is completed, gas supplies to Europe will end. Another one wishes for Nord Stream 2 to be dismantled – a long-standing wet dream of the USian neocons.
The creation (commission, construction, etc.) of Power of Siberia pipeline is one thing. The continued energy security of the European continent is another. And in the end I still don’t understand what good would come out of dismantling NS2 – if anything it’d fulfill the wet dreams of USian neocons and give them what they want.
Okay, so even after the Power of Siberia-2 is completed, will there still be gas supplies available to a Europe that wants it (if that day comes)? Whatever it takes to help get me some sleep tonight.

Interesting developments in Djokovic visa case in Melbourne… Judge overturned the visa cancellation, now Aussie Immigration Minister is considering the nuclear option (ban him again, which might also mean 3 year ban from Oz! Crazy!! He would be 38-39 years old then, so essentially a lifetime ban from productive tennis from his best Grand Slam)… his admittedly emotional father is claiming has been “re-arrested.” What drama, a freakshow really.

For me it was more an integrity thing….he showed his lack by trying to circumvent the ‘golden rule’ in my advanced physical age, comorbids aside, I’d be lucky to do 3 mins of tennis never mind 3 straight hours, phew!
And I think we can maybe agree, ‘a political prisoner’…..10 days in an Aussie detention centre is not 10 years in any Brit prison….or is it?

What is wrong if Novak insisted on keeping his medical information private? Herein lies the heart of the matter, the privacy of a person’s medical history, which until recently was supposed to be sacrosanct. I support Novak wholeheartedly, his victory will be a victory for millions of downtrodden whose fundamental rights are increasingly being extinguished.

I understand his perspective though, he’s still young and fighting for the record books.. hope springs eternal and most would swallow their pride.
Perhaps his resolve was stiffened by being set up so crudely too. He is quite intelligent, has survived intrigue since a teen, and likely knew the score of what went down.
I think he and Nadal have the record for longest tennis match in OZ Open (and Grand Slam) history – about 6 mind-numbing hours a few years ago! Both could not stand afterwards at the championshop ceremony. And yes, in general, high-level tennis is considered one of best workouts for entire body, right up there with swimming. It makes one super fit.
