The European idea of food self-sufficiency is a myth. We don’t produce our own food. We’re about as self-sufficient as a college student who lives by herself but has her father pay for her rent. Because ask yourself: Where does all this fertilizer come from? We produce it ourselves, by fixating nitrogen from the air. But what do we use to fixate the nitrogen? We use natural gas. Nitrogen fertilizer costs have gone up by 263% last year.
But that’s not all. The Netherlands is a massive exporter of food, thanks to our greenhouses. How do you think we produce our food? With natural gas. We don’t just use the natural gas to warm our greenhouses, we use the carbon dioxide released from burning it to massively enhance carbon dioxide concentrations in the greenhouses, because this makes the plants grow faster. This is not to mention the artificial lights that are used for the plants, allowing us to produce fruit and vegetables during dark winters.
If Russia won’t deliver us natural gas, we will literally die of hunger. The greenhouses stop working, we become unable to produce fertilizer so grain yields plunge too. And what are Russia and China now doing? They’re declaring that they’re not exporting fertilizer.

I got stock in YARA, a norwegian formerly state company producing fertilizer. A few months ago, they anouneced they where shutting down their operation in Belarus. They just couldn’t work with someone like Lukashenko in power, they were sorry for their emplyees. No recently I read in the same business paper, they can no longer buy raw materials from Belarus. Why would they ? They allready stopped ? Was it all Virtue signaling and bullshit ?

We translate everything in France, where people are not fooled, except that the bots either want us to believe otherwise, or want to compartmentalise us to polarise opinions.
I wanted to say that every day has its master idea, and what is happening now is producing the pieces of the puzzle of a more global understanding, or at least brings the elements of proof of (conspiracy) theories.
We have seen that Ukraine has overshadowed covid, as if to prevent that moment when we realise a scam, on a social scale (which takes time).
We saw that the reactions against Russia were disproportionate, and prepared for a long time by targeted propaganda. From there, one collective hysteria led to another.
There was evidence of bad faith in sorting out the white, pampered refugees where the others were floating on the seas. We watched in horror as the face of the so-called new world order, openly fascist, emerged from the shadows, displaying Ukrainian flags on TV.
And we saw people going after the Russians like they did the Jews 70 years ago, all the while convincing themselves they were on the anti-fascist side.
We have seen the intellectual quagmire into which the West has been plunged, by dint of having to listen to the opposite of what politicians say, to the point of no longer being able to recognise sincerity and reason, and simple logic.
And finally, today I saw a nice reversal of the situation, since various declarations, mentioning the necessary distinction between a people and its leader, making the Ukrainian refugees “really” resistance fighters, implicitly opposed to the government of Ukraine, and to its Nazi contamination.
Sometimes it only takes a flash of lightning to completely reverse the direction of history. And it is clear that, as the US did in Iraq, Russia will make the EU pay for the war reparations. The international law so pompously highlighted here will therefore have to be applied proportionately to all the other crimes against humanity that have been covered up for the past 70 years.
I must add, to finish with a piece of information that you do not have, that the feeling of insecurity is the central aim of all the current operations, with the aim of preparing the populations for the economic crash that has been planned with insistence and perseverance for decades. Its aim is to ruin, by any means possible, all countries around the world and to create global chaos, to which the world government is supposed to respond as empathetic saviours.
However, it is this plan that seems to be thwarted by the new multipolar order. The question was what Putin was doing at the Wef, with his “old friend” Klaus, well he was saying “the era of unipolar power is over”. Is this a snub or a change of strategy? This can be interpreted as one likes, but for me what is certain is that the threats to this planet are real and extremely powerful. We are living in a moment where either we will emerge free and happy and at peace, with global prosperity, sound governance and rational resource management, or this civilisation will have failed. And the powerful forces that are working to make this a failure are unknowingly delivering the keys to getting out of it. So we must never forget to be human!

Here in the west it’s astonishing how very doctorates people have few considération for the facts and make free analysis only based on their own fantasy. Good point. I’m of the opinion that the reason the pandemic was handled in a political-, rather than medical way, was the desire for war preparation and regimenting of the population. It looks like large part of the western society now is in a state of mass psycosis. There is less room to discuss the ukrainian situation, than the pandemic. Here I am going to present a series of maps of the area known as Ukraine and comment on their meaning today ,and maybe for tomorrow. I hope these maps will make the situation in that region clearer:
Map 1. This map shows a rough view of the regions in Ukraine that use Russian has their most important language. This shows that in Donetsk and Lugansk,known as Donbass,plus Kharkov Oblast, collectively called the East. Russian is used by almost 93% of the population as their main language. The area called the South on the map includes Crimea (the map is before 2014),and shows that almost 85% of the people in that region use Russian as their main language. Another large region called the East Center shows over 59% of the people use Russian as their main language. To the West,the next large area called the Center,that includes Kiev, shows around 26% using Russian as their main language. Before maidan polls showed 56% of people in Kiev itself favored Russian.Moving all the way to West on the map we see 5% use Russian as their main language.
So what can we see from this map? We can see that in time it will be easier for Russia to find allies in,and unity with ,the East,South,and East Center regions,in that order I believe.With the Center,and West regions being more difficult,and taking longer to accomplish those goals.

What this shows is the extreme importance of Russian in major areas.But also that the other areas aren’t all really speaking “Ukrainian”.Only the yellow areas speak dialects of true Ukrainian. The other non-Russian areas mainly speak mixed dialects known as Surzhyk. The Ukrainian nationalists like to claim them as their own,but that is not exactly correct.It mixes words of both (at least both) languages in its dialects.

Andrei, I think the EU might have been a creation of Washington to tie up all of Europe in one shot. Then they threw NATO at all of them selling a lot of all sorts of war machines they themselves produce a lot. The US is fairly fully armed but very divided so if something were to happen both sides will just kill each other. Now, the EU might be seen as a sort of dumb enemy to the US “interests” (does anyone ever asks to list these interests?) so, Russia invading or whatever the Ukraine may be a perfect moment to push all of NATO minus the US under the bus, no? It’s what they are doing… isn’t it? Asking NATO countries, not the US, to send war machines to the Ukies? Putin already let them all know this would be considered involvement or a light push in their ears by not saying an act of war! Poland got the message… Just a thought… what do you all think?

My thoughts exactly.
There’s a story that says that Charles de Gaulle, in the 1960s, refused to allow Britain into what was then the EEC on the grounds that the USA might use Britain as a Trojan horse into European affairs. By the time Britain joined in 1973, de Gaulle was gone.
My opinion is that the US manipulating its European vassals’ affairs is even such to the point that certain people end up forgetting (or failing to see) that such puppetry (if not the US itself) even exists, as if said vassals were independent nations doing what they do without external USian pressure/manipulation.
If these examples are valid cases in point:
* I’ve seen some on the Russian internet claim that Stalin was wrong to pity the German people in 1945 and that today’s bad blood is a result thereof (as if USian NATO forces weren’t already in German soil calling the shots behind the scenes for the past 70 years).
* Others even claim that fascism is in the blood/genes of European people (as if those Europeans who choose to live in Russia are automatically fascist on the basis of their heritage irrespective of their opinions. And I was told that Russians don’t give a crap about one’s ethnicity).
* Some even believe that the citizens deserve their governments (as if those elections were free and fair, and leaders were free to even go their own way without getting sanctioned or toppled by the US – why else is Putin getting all the flak from the USian media?).
But I digress on these.

This was a bittersweet paragraph to read. I realized where the Great Bifurcation underway is headed.. back to the primitive ugly tribalism of medieval days. If there were sub groups types of articles and information this might help, on specific areas, who knows, but the volume of articles and speed of change, so far anyway, seems to me to be questionable in terms of meeting demand, judging by the comments sections, apart from Sakers, I am not the only one who thinks along similar lines. It also diminishes the value of named individual, and respected writers.
It is unpleasant to criticize, especially in the face of many excellent articles and likewise comments during this amazing, extraordinary time, and, hugely appreciated by a great many people, including myself.

PS – regarding the Ukraine issue, Mrs. A is technically correct. The Saker mentioned this in several articles over many years – “The Ukraine” means “borderlands or border region” across slavic lands, even in sister tongues in former Yugoslavia. It has not existed prior to 1917. Galicia and some other appended parts were taken from Austro-Hungary. Merriam-Webster and all Zone A sources are gleeful acolytes of the Memory Hole team. We can safely ignore them. They emphasize this point to try to give legitimacy to the distinctiveness and non-Russian pedigree of Ukrainians.. so an adjunct of Total War (language section) to divide and conquer that region. However we are lazy, and usually omit the “the.”

I was not arguing for any view, just the symbolic date and how history may rhyme! I don’t know enough on this specific issue.. but it seems Rome was quite seedy by time of Caesar, maybe a horse would have fit into their Senate even then? He was a product of his times.
