I find the matter of General Coultier still to be an open one. I know there have been many denials from the West that he’s been captured, and they may be right, but why not put the matter to rest totally by having him appear on a show in person to announce that the reports of his captivity might have been a bit premature. It just seems very strange to me that a matter so easily put to rest hasn’t been, especially since if you Google it, there are lots of sites putting out strong denials. Forget the denials, just show us the man himself. Problem solved.

At risk for many shady actors in many nations is a significant income stream if it comes to a stop. The degree which this income stream and influence is critical to Empire is underappreciated. It lubricates much of black budgets and provides kompromat and comprador clients in the four corners of Earth, including in Zone B. This Taliban move had to be coordinated with Pakistan. Imran Khan is Pashtun too, and would need to seal those borders. Many Afghan poppy fields are along Pakistan border. There is likely a coordinated move by Iran, Russia, China and other players to shut this down in return for Taliban recognition (being fast-tracked now in last weeks), foreign investment, and developmental aid.
So this may be an internecine intra-elite Pakistani squabble, not for a larger Zonal realignment – i.e. not merely being bought by USUK – but for their own threatened drugcrime interests.. If so, these clueless elites are against the powerful currents of these times.. Poppy fields will still be burned, Anglos will be walled off, the drug globalization umbilical cords will be severed, the traitorous compradors will still lose these income streams, and the reputational loss of Pakistan this week will have been for naught. Regarding German tanks and howitzers.. From the dawn of armored warfare through WW2, the best engineered and most feared mechanized forces were German. The way I interpreted it was that the USA, which provided the inspiration for Hitler’s policies and even supported him against the USSR, did not experience destruction or defeat on its own soil during WWII (like the USSR and Germany did) and any subsequent wars. Now that same USA dictates German foreign policy and continues to do so even after the Soviets withdrew their forces from the former GDR.

You’re thinking of a war of conquest against a foreign nation, which can – in no way – describe how Russia applies force to Eastern Ukraine. Two things would turn the Russian people against this conflict: a bad negotiated settlement or massive civilian causalities. Please watch the videos from Mariupol civilian evacuees, most are asking the interviewer to get in touch with their relatives in Russia or planning to go stay with those relatives until they can return to Mariupol permanently.
Your “plan” would see a lot of those people killed by Russian military actions. The only areas where that is not the case is the far west of Ukraine. Your plan is the surest way for Russia to lose the war. It’s only option within your scenario would be to bypass significant Ukrainian forces (who have holed up in the cities with civilians) to secure a telegenic victory. Except the long-term of that leaving Ukrainian forces behind is an insurgency. Russia is trying to minimize civilian casualties and destruction of civilian infrastructure in the east, while strangling Ukraine’s military capability in both men and material.

They got to AMLO in Mexico through pressure. He caved, but he did not cave. There was and is much pressure on him my friends tell me. He did not attend the fundraiser ‘Stand Up for Ukraine’. He made a speech that was critical of war, but not really critical of Russia, and no word of sanctioning. He also said the countries that want to condemn him for not being critical of Russia, had invaded his country before, so, there is that.
“We do not accept Russia’s invasion of Ukraine because we have suffered from invasions,” Lopez Obrador said on Saturday in a video message. Mexico has at various times been on the receiving end of invasions by the US, France and Spain.
“We are in favor of a peaceful solution to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine,” he said. “Peace must be reached so that neither the people of Ukraine nor the people of Russia nor any other nation in the world continue to suffer from such absurdity because wars are disgraceful and must never be sought.”
On Sunday there was a referendum and the people overwhelmingly voted that he is doing a good job. When he was elected, one of the promises was that after 3 years he would have this referendum and if people are not happy with him, he will quit – a move I believe from representative democracy to direct democracy.
So, the pressure continues.

U.S. Airstrike on a Weapons Depot Kills 30 Taliban Militants in Helmand Province. Pakistani air corridor into Afghanistan, which the US pilots called “The Boulevard”, was perhaps never closed. In the past, the corridor was essential for ferrying troops, ammunition, and weapons for the US forces waging a war against Al Qaeda and the Taliban since 2001. US intelligence flights and combat missions used it when taking off from the US bases in the Persian Gulf or aircraft carriers in the Indian Ocean. Was it still operational after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan?
In 2001, The US grudgingly accepted that Pakistan held an ace in a poker match with America. Pakistan’s land and air routes, if denied to the US and its coalition partners, could make the US invasion of Afghanistan extremely difficult, if not impossible. True, alternate land and air routes- the so-called Northern Distribution Network – were available through Central Asia.
These routes were longer and costlier than those passing through Pakistan
The significance of the Pakistani land and air routes was highlighted when, after the Salala incident in November 2011 in which the Coalition forces killed 24 Pakistan Army soldiers, Pakistan closed both its land and air routes to the coalition forces for eight months. The land routes and air corridor were reopened in July 2012. During this period the Coalition forces were forced to use the Northern Distribution Network.
Since closing Pakistan’s airspace would hinder America’s ability to invade Afghanistan in the wake of the 9/11 attacks by Al Qaeda and Taliban- Al Qaeda’s Afghan hosts, the Bush administration threatened to bomb Pakistan “back to the stone age” if the country did not cooperate with America’s war on Afghanistan. Richard Olson, a former ambassador, said the US might regard such action as a “casus belli,” or grounds for war. Other former US officials echoed that assessment. The United States Armed Forces completed their withdrawal from Afghanistan on 30 August 2021, marking the end of the 20-year long war in Afghanistan.

In the aftermath of the Salala incident, when Pakistan closed its air and land routes to the Coalition forces, the Pakistan government also ordered the US to vacate the Shamsi airbase.
After the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and the “Absolutely Not” remark by PM Imran Khan, did the US air corridor, linking Qatar with Kabul, continue to operate through the Pakistani airspace? If yes, it was presumably used for reconnaissance missions only. The latest drone strike points to the possibility that the corridor is again fully activated. As for again granting military bases like Shamsi to the US, it cannot be ruled out as the Imran Khan era comes to the end.
