Tip o’ the iceberg here but; According to MSN, “approximately 100 employees of the King Charles III‘s now former official residence, Clarence House, were notified during a church service for the late Queen that they will likely be demoted or lose their jobs entirely, as initially reported on Monday by The Guardian. Many of those employees have worked for decades and are presently working around the clock during the present period of mourning and the King’s ascension to the throne.

Report: US Special Operations Forces Are On The Ground In Ukraine

US special operations forces are on the ground in Ukraine as part of a broad covert operation that includes CIA personnel, The Intercept reported on Wednesday, citing unnamed US intelligence and military officials.
The report said that the US withdrew its CIA and special operations assets from Ukraine shortly before Russia’s invasion, although one US official said the CIA “never completely left.”
The CIA initially predicted that Kyiv would fall quickly to Russia, but after it became clear that wouldn’t happen, the Biden administration sent its covert assets back into Ukraine.
The report said that US clandestine operations inside Ukraine “are now far more extensive than they were early in the war, when US intelligence officials were fearful that Russia would steamroll over the Ukrainian army.”
Several current and former intelligence officials said that there “is a much larger presence of both CIA and US special operations personnel and resources in Ukraine than there were at the time of the Russian invasion in February.”
Back in June, The New York Times reported that there was a CIA presence in Ukraine, but it made no mention of US special operations forces. The Times report did say that several US allies have special operations troops in Ukraine, including Britain, France, Canada, and Lithuania.
The Intercept report said the covert operations inside Ukraine are being conducted under a covert presidential finding that indicates President Biden has quietly notified Congress of a “broad program of clandestine operations inside the country.” The report said that the finding President Biden is using is an altered version of a finding originally during the Obama administration.
It’s not clear what the US personnel are doing inside Ukraine or where exactly they are operating, but the presence risks provoking Russia. The covert operations contradict President Biden’s pledge not to send troops into Ukraine, which he said before Russia’s invasion could spark a “world war.”
“No matter how many push-ups these guys can do, no matter how long they can go without sleep and food, no matter how good they are at cover and concealment, no matter their expertise as marksmen, they are no match for a conventional Russian military force that can hit them with barrages of artillery, mortars and missiles.”
“I hope that U.S. and U.K leaders have not made the idiotic decision of sending these elite men into the charnel house that is the front line in Ukraine. This is a fruitless waste of highly skilled men who do not have magical powers to defeat tanks or a battalion of Russian troops attacking their positions. I worry that former members of some of these special ops units may have signed on to fight with the Ukrainians. Regardless of their personal bravery and skill, these individuals are just one more cog in a massive war machine.”
Read Larry’s whole article here … it includes how the Marines had to come save the SEALs from a bunch of janitors in Grenada.

This ain’t Grenada…..by any stretch of one’s imagination. Hubris and over confidence have felled many.

Too early to say HOW, but obviously it is a sabotage, possibly by exploding remotely controlled explosive device(s) under one of the oil cisterns of the train which was passing. One of the spans (automobile part) is down in the water.

Update there – it was a truck bomb, which is why I asked is it ISIS? Looks very familiar. Even a suicide bomber?

Update: Russian Ministry of Transport claims that the railway part of the bridge will be fixed by tonight & the first trains will be able to cross the bridge at 8pm.
19mins ago: Russian investigators assessing the damage (22 secs)
https://twitter.com/RWApodcast/status/1578707048157827075
I believe after attacks on Belgorod, Moskva, Nordstream & now the Kerch that Russia’s moment of truth has arrived.
No more Mr Nice Guy!
Thanks for the early morning laugh, tempers my ire……where’s Alice when you need him.
Out of curiosity, what moment of truth? How many moments does one need? Not a betting man, I’d lay odds Russia is boxed in, stuck in Ukraine while NATO bleeds it to the last Ukrainian immigrant from England.
Everyone sees 5D chess…..while reality says not Chess rather a game of Snakes and Ladders with many broken rungs, snakes can still climb poles or high tension bridge span cables without consequences. Killing a few soldiers blowing up some ferrous metal, Ukraine still functions well especially with tons of U$ flowing in. Seems Russia has no answer on the conventional table, or fears crossing the West’s Red Lines. That may get me labeled, but I live in reality ……’truth moments’ still waiting.
Are the lights still on in Kiev, Lviv, the major suppliers bordering the Ukraine still laughing up their sleeves? Waiting for ‘change’, something I can believe in.

I have a question that really bugs me :
Swiss Colonel Bosshard Debunks Another NATO Conspiracy Theory
https://larouchepub.com/pr/2022/20221005_col_bosshard.html
Detailed comment from a professional military view (Again the Swiss – they are everywhere!)
The sheer level of activity, logistics, skill to prepare the NordStream explosives points only to NATO.
Yet one question comes to mind – if NS2b, the second pipeline is actually intact, ready to pump, as Russia found, then what?
Did a 4th explosive fail to detonate, still in place, an extreme hazard? There is no way with such preparations NATO simply forgot 1 pipeline.
Therefore will another attempt be made, either to detonate, or deactivate?
There is an uncanny similarity to 9/11, that failed Reichstagsbrand.
Plane #4 was crashed by passengers before it hit the Capitol, saving the world from DEFCON 1 .
Now a mined pipe #4 is sitting there at 80m depth in the Baltic likely about to blow up in the perpetrators faces, either explosively or politically.
The crazy best laid plans of the Children of Satan do not work, and the blowback is horrendous.
Plane four was shot down, Medals were awarded to the Air Wing pilots for Bravery. CNN didn’t cover it, wasn’t a good ending for the Trailer. People actually believe the Let’s Roll bs….the plane left a debris trail before it crashed.
The only time blowback is horrendous is if you are a civilian, or out of the elite loop.
Either way the Reichstagsbrand failed., even with 3000+ victims.
The Patriot Act was all they got, not marshal law and DEFCON 1. Missiles did de-lid. A phone call got through.
Patrick Lawrence pins the imperial infantile behavior in D.C. on the 9/11 psychological effect. In other words today’s NATO madness is directly connected to British Aerospace Engineering/Saudi’s Prince Bandhar’s attack on the USA.
Quite correct Sean: “The only time blowback is horrendous is if you are a civilian, or out of the elite loop”
Many were told (in fact some received text messages) not to front up to their offices in the WTC in the morning.
I’ve met one personally – quite by chance.
Can a third party whose agenda was unknown to Russia blow up the Nord Streams unknowingly putting Putin in the advantageous position?
Has Schelling touched upon third party involvement? I don’t think Russia did it but there could be advantages.
In search of a motive, arms control wonk Jeffrey Lewis cited the work of U.S. scholar Thomas Schelling and wrote Wednesday that, “Burning bridges or setting fire to the grass behind you can offer a bargaining advantage.” That’d seem to be because, “By blocking you, the decision to collide is yours. He captured the advantageous position of deterrence, while leaving you the much harder task of compelling him to move.” Now, Lewis says, “Europe has the more difficult task of compelling Putin.”
https://twitter.com/armscontrolwonk/status/1575265303130361859
Putin has threatened to cut off Russian gas supplies, using some flimsy excuses. Some Europeans may have doubted the credibility of the threat, believing the economic impacts might deter Putin from really doing it. Now, Europe has the more difficult task of compelling Putin.
And
The day before the bridge blew up Biden gave US intelligence more freedom as he diminished the freedom of citizens in what will probably prove to be an abortive attempt at stopping an attack inside the US. Did he know about the bridge?
Biden just revoked the following provision of a policy directive issued by Obama in 2014 imposing certain limitations on mass surveillance: “Privacy and civil liberties shall be integral considerations in the planning of US signals intelligence activities”

No new data there, lotsa cudda, wudda, shudda.
Counting to 4 seems beyond some – there are 4 pipelines, 3 explosions. Either #4 is a ticking bomb, or something else f*cked up. SNAFU does not capture this, sir!
Your post has nothing to do with Schelling’s theory which is what I asked.
Shelling had actually nothing to say, just some game theory mumbo-jumbo.
That’s why I mentioned counting!
After all the doom and gloom (including my own),here are a few positive things to mention:
1.Footage of the RF Investigative Committee the Crimean bridge.
The train service is expected to be resumed tonight at 8 PM Moscow time.
https://t.me/russianhead/7336
2.They write that car traffic on the Kerch bridge will also be resumed today. Not as fast as before, there are only two lanes, but still excellent.
They also plan to restore the destruction quickly, the Ukronazis failed to disrupt logistics and supplies with their terrorist attack.
The main thing now is to build the protection of the bridge properly. So that they don’t look into trucks, but inspect them as they should.
https://t.me/russianhead/7340
3. General of the Army Sergey Surovikin – Russian Defense Ministry has been appointed Commander of the Joint Forces in the SMO zone.
https://t.me/russianhead/7341
4. The movement of vehicles has begun on the Crimean bridge – the head of the Crimea Aksyonov.
https://t.me/russianhead/7344
5. It looks like they have identified the bomber. From his name he may be a Tatar Russia hater:
The truck that exploded on the Crimean bridge could have been driven by 52-year-old Makhir Yusubov. Uncle of the owner of the car.
In September, the truck traveled around Krasnodar. On the 22nd, she was spotted at the post of Zukerova Balka. It was going from Rostov to Krasnodar. From there to Krasnoarmeysky, Slavinsky and finally Temryuksky district, where it was caught on cameras.
On October 7, she appeared in the Kanevsky district and drove off to Poltava, disappearing from the cameras. From 12:17 to 16:04 I traveled around Armavir. Further – Caucasian, Timoshevsky and Kalininsky. At 23:06 she was seen in the village of Svetly Put in the Temryuk region and then disappeared for six hours.
Today at five in the morning the car was in the village of Strelka. The distance between the last two points of the route could be covered in half an hour, but it got there in 6.
At 5:52 the truck drove onto the bridge, at 6:05 it exploded. Since the day before yesterday, Mahir has not contacted his relatives.
https://t.me/russianhead/7350
Its a sign of desperation, a last ditch of lone wolves in action.
And it works well for MSM, who appear to be in a denial so deep as to not be able to see their way out of their situation, so all they do is talk about it.
If anyone doesn’t understand what I mean when I say the security situation inside Russia (especially in the new liberated territories, and Crimea. But also in the frontline regions of the old Russian regions) is bad. Here is the perfect new example. BTW in the West there would be electronic devices as well as bomb snuffing dogs at important checkpoints. I know that because I have in the past been through checkpoints like that:
Either the Ukrainians have invisibility technology, or the Russian police have failed in it’s duty.
The truck that blew up the bridge was literally inspected a few minutes before.https://t.me/antinatocoalition/2395
Those police need to be sent directly to service at the front.
Now if you were security and saw a bomb would you instantly report it, or would you send it on its way in the hope of, not only saving your own life, but if it didn’t work, you might not hear from it again.
Just how many fools can we pay to rush into todays dangers?
Maybe the Russians need to bring back the folks—and their methodoly , but updated—who inspected vehicles that passed through the territory of the DDR on the Autobahn, to get to West Berlin.
One ton,
one cubic foot,
one missing piece.
I’ve said this for months. Now it’s the view among Russians as well:
Moving red lines castrates sovereignty. Political scientist Nikolai Sevostyanov specially for the Voenkor Kotenok Z @voenkorKotenok channel :
The main process that we have observed all these months is the constant transfer of “red lines”, after crossing which Kyiv had to wait for a crushing answer or even “Judgment Day”, which Dmitry Medvedev spoke about. All these months, the Nazis consistently crossed these lines, and “Judgment Day” did not come.
Today they crossed one of the most “fat” lines, hitting the Crimean bridge. And the first thing we saw was how some deputies and figures immediately urged “not to hurry with the answer.” Allegedly, it is necessary to abstract from emotions and calculate everything. If I translate it into Russian, let’s move this “red line” somewhere far away.
You can wait until the Armed Forces of Ukraine strike at Kaluga. Although no, it’s also not good – they already hit the Kaluga region yesterday. So let’s wait until they launch a rocket in Moscow.
This once again speaks of the need not to talk, but to do. Do not threaten “Doomsday”, but destroy those targets that will instantly bring down the rear of the entire Ukrainian group. The Kyiv regime can lie as long as it likes under the drip of endless Western trenches and loans, but if the equipment itself is destroyed, the regime will crumble.
Equipment in this case is infrastructure, without which it is impossible to wage war in principle. You cannot move troops when bridges and railroads are destroyed. And you can’t keep control if your power plants are knocked out in winter.
I note that this is not the “Stone Age” in which the States sought to bomb Vietnam. And not the carpet bombing of Germany approved by London. The destruction of thermal power plants, bridges, railway infrastructure will not lead to mass deaths of civilians. But it will instantly bring down the existing control system, which is tailored for the most comfortable conditions.
And, of course, this once again raises the topic of infiltration of the liberated territories and Crimea by enemy agents. To carry out such an action, we need not only a group that will be directly involved in the preparation, but also accomplices who will provide cover for it. Not to mention the fact that the truck obviously did not cross the front line, but began directly on the spot.
Today Russia has all the tools to win this war. This requires three basic things:
1) Start fighting for real without constantly looking back at the possibility of new “Minsk” or “Istanbul” trials. There are tools, goals – even more so;
2) Remove those who do not want to fight and cannot, regardless of the reasons. It is not necessary to plant – just a kick in the ass and a well-deserved retirement;
3) Switch to the military format of eradicating enemy agents, the Ukrainian underground and active elements of the fifth column.
Once again, we need a powerful interdepartmental structure with emergency powers. You are afraid to call it SMERSH, call it something else, at least a “raccoon lovers club”, but give it the opportunity to burn out with a red-hot iron that network that blows up, kills and sabotages. People who would be ready to do this, who are not afraid to take the initiative and who are interested in it – in a country of 140 million people.
But we can continue to pretend that we have a police operation on the distant approaches. How will this end – need to explain?

🇪🇺❄️Winter is coming : about the cold future of Europe
Based on the headlines of articles in the Western media, a neural network generated pictures of the future that awaits Europe.
And the spectacle is, to put it mildly, bleak. The neural network further softened the details. But very soon this is what life in Europe will look like.
▪️Energy prices have not just made a “leap”: they have gone into the stratosphere and are not going to stop anytime soon. Moreover, high prices are not the worst thing.
▪️Because of the explosions on the Nord Stream pipeline, the situation is developing in such a way that there may simply not be enough energy carriers for everyone.
At the same time, even those countries for whom LNG is potentially quite enough (for example, Norway ) can be “dispossessed” by their neighbors, who simply do not have the opportunity to buy LNG at the appointed price.
▪️It all depends on how cold the temperatures will be this winter. In a negative scenario, not only parishioners in churches will freeze – everyone will freeze , except for a relatively small group of respected people , for whose needs the contents of the surviving Nord Stream thread are just enough .
▪️As for the protests, they have already begun, and by winter their scale will only increase . What is happening now is just a warm-up.
When (and if) the population begins to seriously experience physical inconvenience against the background of the energy crisis, many will begin to literally fight for their survival .
Among other things, this implies a serious deterioration in the crime situation. Which is now in Europe and without that is far from ideal.
🔻The described forecast runs the risk of coming true with almost 90% probability : largely due to the suicidal policy of European leaders in general and due to serious damage to Nord Stream in particular.
If everything happened in early spring, there would be a chance to soften the situation before the onset of cold weather. Unfortunately, at the moment it is already physically impossible.
Now this is one of the best pieces of pro-Russian informational warfare I’ve ever seen. The Russian government needs to enlist people like the makers of this video to be in charge of Russia’s propaganda efforts. They actually know how to do the job:
https://t.me/DonbassDevushka/28817
Back in Yugoslavia where I grew up we used to make fun of Russians for warning us against the rotten West. Who is laughing now?
I hope and pray Russia wins, survives and recovers, because many others (like most of the aforementioned Yugoslavia) are beyond hope of repair.

The driver of the exploded truck delivered cargo from Armavir to Simferopol
He was supposed to arrive at his destination on the morning of October 7.
The truck blown up during the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge was traveling from Armavir to Simferopol. Truck driver Mahir Yusubov received the order through the aggregator application, where the departure was scheduled for October 6, REPORTS “MK”.
It turns out that the explosion should have been committed a day earlier, that is, on the morning of October 7 – the anniversary of Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, for unknown reasons, the trip was postponed for a day.
It also became known that according to the documents, the truck should have contained spare parts: the weight of the cargo was from 7 to 25 tons, and the volume was 87 cubic meters. Presumably, the loading of “spare parts” was carried out through the rear side, in connection with which Mahir Yusubov did not even know that he was carrying explosive things.
So, not a suicide bomber, where is he?
https://readovka.news/news/115078
Today Readovka has already announced version, in which she admitted that two cars could take part in the terrorist attack – a heavy truck with ammonium nitrate, that is, fertilizer, and a passenger detonator car with an explosive device. This assumption is beginning to gain evidence.
As it turned out, Mahir Yusubov,
who, presumably, was driving a truck, received an online order for the transportation of fertilizers. However, most likely, he was not aware of the planned explosion.
…
This is dubious, you have cook the fertilizer w/a special concoction of diesel fuel and let it stew until the vapors become explosive, its not the easiest of tricks although it can be done.
Oops!
‘General Armageddon’ to lead Russian forces in Ukraine
Sergey Surovikin, a Syria campaign veteran, will take command of all operations, the Defense Ministry said
https://www.rt.com/russia/564299-general-surovikin-russia-ukraine-command/
Surovikin was given the nickname ‘General Armageddon’ by his colleagues, citing his hardline and unorthodox approach to military operations.
Technically, this is economic warfare. (See in the context of the US doing everything in its power to provoke Japan before the 1941 “surprise” attack on Pearl Harbor, altho’ I’m not suggesting that China would attack first. In reality, China’s nose will be bleeding before it retaliates as it really doesn’t want war)
The US has decoupled its entire advanced technology supply from China:

and just to be clear, Russia is taking over management of Sakhalin-1 (as it did earlier on Sakhalin-2) to replace Exxon Mobil. Other investors were given a month to confirm interest in continuing with the association as Mitsubishi & Mitsui did in Sakhalin-2
Where’s the question of “seizures”? Russians did not kick out Exxon Mobil. Its exit is due to US sanctions! It’s not like the US freezing Russian for-ex reserves! Now, that was “seizure”, banditry!

Leaving aside the Ukraine, after two years of destroying western economies with Covid lockdowns, I’m increasingly apprehensive about the coming winter energy shortages. If someone had proposed a way to destroy the west without war, there can be no better way to have gone about it than the social and economic destruction recently inflicted on us by western politicians.
A cultural (identity politics) revolution, followed by energy shortages and possible food scarcity without a shot fired in anger. As UK energy bills soar over 500% in two years, the climate change fanatics and the previous cheering UN with their alternative green energy solar panels and windmill farms have gone very quiet. Bankruptcy rates are the highest in history and inflation currently stands at 9.9% and rising, from 0.9% in 2020. Meanwhile, the British pound slumps to record levels.
Trapped in an extreme liberal ideology of building a humanitarian utopia, the west is predictably going bankrupt. Is this all Russia’s fault? Is it blackmail? In a globalized world no first-world country is self-sufficient and all remain dependent on each other in varying degrees to maintain a first-world lifestyle. If the west is prepared to sanction others in an attempt to destroy their economies for political ends, it can’t feign surprised when the others sanction it in return.
Unfortunately, the liberal middle class and politicians who can still afford the huge energy price increases and shout the loudest for Russian energy sanctions are the least likely to be affected by them. It’s only when they start to be direcly affected by their actions and/or when mass civil disturbances begin will they realize the consequences of what they’ve done and changes will result.
Witness the complete chaos of Truss’ utter incompetence in public display. Makes the German Gov’t look like a paragon of virtue!
The UK Gov’t is likely the next to fall after Sweden, Italy, Bulgaria, Estonia…
An economic system that has plundered the world for 150 years is now saddled with a $2 QUADRILLION, that is 2000 Trillion nominal debt, which can never be redeemed. This did not start with even the Neocons after 1991, but with Nixon in 1971 taking the Dollar off the Gold Reserve Bretton Woods System, after London pulled a gold stunt.
To split the banks and write off $500 trillion immediately, the City of London can never accept.
Every attempt, such as sanctions, boomerangs – they are truly desperate. Consideration of subjects – you must be joking, they have to float the Titanic!
To add insult to injury, V. Putin in his speech clearly and explicitly fingers their dilemma.
Glazyev has written 2 books on exactly this.
The Global South has heard the trumpet call, OPEC+ is also not kow-towing anymore.
@bonbon
Not sure about anyone having a 2000 trillion debt, I think it’s the US who holds the record at 31 trillion, with the UK following a log way behind at 3.3 trillion.
https://www.usdebtclock.org/world-debt-clock.html
BREXIT was Britain’s chance to distance itself from the European Union and stop hanging onto America’s shirtails. Had we moved closer to countries such as Russia and China and the outside world instead, we would have indeed prospored as promised, but the politicians chose to continue our involvement in the liberal utopia experiment and now we’re paying for it.
The $2 Quadrillion that Bonbon refers to is a nominal figure… this is actually acknowledged in the comment.
The nominal figure is most likely at least $2.5 Quad when all of the OTC dealings are added to the Exchange-traded derivatives. The nominal value is calculated by the price of the underlying assets being multiplied by the number of units of the asset involved in the contract.
The fact remains though, that any estimates of the derivatives market are a sizeable and highly volatile portion of global investments. Recent history tells us just how quickly this can play out. Just look at how quickly things went bad in the recent BOE debacle. And this was temporarily band-aided with… wait for it… yet more QE and borrowing… what a brilliant solution!
The US debt of $31 trillion that you refer to is the Govt debt which only represents a fraction of the total crippling debt that has puts the US economy into an inevitable destructive debt spiral. The Govt Debt:GDP ratio is currently 125%… up from 56% in the year 2000.
Given that the US GDP figure is grossly overstated, this means that in reality the 125% calculation is also underestimated.
When you add in state debt, personnel debt including student loans, car loans and mortgages, municipal debt, social security liability, medicare liability, and unfunded liabilities, etc etc, the figure comes to a staggering $515,000 per citizen [including babies] and an eye-watering ~$800,000 per taxpayer.
The US Govt debt per citizen even when using the fudged GDP numbers comes to $93,000 per citizen and $247,000 per taxpayer.
However you slice and dice the numbers, the entire US economy is insolvent. It is in ‘good’ company though, as it is in the same boat as the other major Zone A Natostan western economies.

Big conclusion: Liberal hegemony is only possible in a unipolar world. Problem is, unipolarity no longer exists – the world is already multipolar.
Submarine “Magadan” arrived at the Pacific Fleet
The Pacific Fleet announced the arrival of a submarine at its base in Vladivostok
This is the third sub and quickly follows the nuclear-powered strategic missile submarine (project 955A, Borey-A) Knyaz Oleg and nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine (project 885M, Yasen-M) Novosibirsk,
There has been a softening of nuclear preemptive rhetoric probably to some degree because these subs threaten the USA itself and this is a big difference.
“So Zelensky called for pre-emptive strikes by NATO.
Now we find Zelensky’s press secretary claiming Zelensky was talking about sanctions and not military action.
Suspect someone in Washington picked up the phone and told them to kill this original statement, immediately.”-

The project 636.3 Magadan submarine, equipped with Caliber cruise missiles, arrived for the first time in the Pacific Fleet (Pacific Fleet) at its base in Vladivostok, the press service of the Pacific Fleet reported.
The report says that the submarine has completed the inter-fleet transition from the Baltic Fleet to the Pacific by the Northern Sea Route, having covered more than nine thousand nautical miles.RIA Novosti .
A solemn rally took place in the formation of submarines of the Primorsky flotilla of diverse forces. The Commander of the Primorsky Flotilla, Rear Admiral Valery Kazakov, congratulated the sailors on their arrival in their native harbor during the event. Also, the personnel were met by relatives and friends of the sailors, representatives of the manufacturer and veteran organizations.
After a short rest, the crew will begin the planned implementation of combat training tasks as part of the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet.
For the Pacific Fleet, Magadan is the third diesel-electric submarine capable of carrying Caliber high-precision cruise missiles.
Earlier it was reported that the submarine forces of the Pacific Fleet were replenished with two nuclear submarines at once. Nuclear-powered strategic missile submarine (project 955A, Borey-A) Knyaz Oleg and nuclear-powered cruise missile submarine (project 885M, Yasen-M) Novosibirsk, having made an inter-fleet transition from the Northern to the Pacific Fleet, arrived at the point of permanent deployment in Kamchatka.
Been thinking about “imprinting”…a term wider than old Konrad’s meaning…
In US the idea is imprinted that the “strategic bombing” (something mentioned in recent VVP bigbigspeech! Dresden, and so on) is the way of war, and that atomic bombing would, of course (!) follow the previous pattern of blasting cities for no military purpose. Never mind that the W2 campaign was mostly useless and illegal, except that it did intimidate the Red Army…
The false ideas about bombing abide, but, well, surprises happen.
Franz Gayl has another idea…https://www.globaltimes.cn/page/202210/1276613.shtml
Gayl is retired USMC…interesting idea, interesting fella. It may happen…if so, see Helmer’s “sparky”, but do that before the lights go dim…
…………………………(Question, does imprinting in critters imply that “racism” in some broad foundational sense, is normal? It may be atavistic, but imprinting seems to have many features that tend to create stability…but it’s highly situational. Political racism is a whole ‘nuther beast, but may rest on the same foundation.)
I’ve always wondered why Konrad got the Nobel…
……………………..
About the cold and the electric power in 404 and elsewhere, Brother Helmer has pithy thoughts. “fires old sparky”> http://johnhelmer.org/russian-army-fires-old-sparky-us-loses-the-electric-war-in-the-ukraine/#more-59258

As a general rule with obvious exceptions, America frightens me. That’s not because it has the world’s reserve currency, or the most nuclear weapons, but because their leadership reflects the absolute brain washed low information of its population in a land that time forgot. The thought of Americans ruling the world is a nightmare scenario.
The home of Obama the Messiah and Trump sent by God, where an estimated 77% of the population believes Angels walk the streets of America and many still believe Russia is communist.
This intellectual level does not bode well for future world security in a country with nuclear weapons.

Two recent comments here that stick in my mind are that Russia has won and is completing a mop up operation in the Ukraine and NATO doesn’t exist. I wasn’t unduly surprised and automatically assumed they were Americans. Please, before you press the post a comment button, think about what you’re saying. :)
I applaud President Putin’s attempt to remove the power of the US and isolate it on the fringes of western civilization where it belongs and can do the least damage to the world.

“Yet the speech didn’t tell me anything I didn’t know already and contained a summarized version of all the points previously mentioned in speeches. Nothing ‘historical’ in its content for me.”
Shades perhaps of a previous commenter that used to frequent this site… I’m just trying to recall her name.
I actually agree with a lot of what you say at times, but sometimes the attitude contained within can be very important too… especially when you choose to volunteer advice on this very subject.
To be honest Col, I can’t see western politicians or NATO generals sitting up at night pouring over Mr. Putin’s speech. In which case, who was it meant for? Of course it sticks out the tongue at the west, but doesn’t say anything that wasn’t already known. What part of it shook you to the core?
I’ll send in a comments submission in the next day or so, but as it’s more focused on reality than cheerleading I doubt it will be published. In the oft quoted phease, let’s wait and see.

“We are willing to work with the Beijing authorities to find a mutually agreeable arrangement for upholding peace and stability” Hopefully this is a good faith effort. There are many lessons from Europe for Chinese Taipei, China & the Asia-Pacific region. The greatest of which is all of them would lose in a conflict.
Taiwan wants to work with mainland China to avoid conflict, says Tsai
https://www.scmp.com/news/china/politics/article/3195411/taiwan-calls-mainland-china-cooperate-cross-strait-peace-while
Giving up the “1992 consensus” is the main difficulty. Tsai decided to give up the “1992 consensus” on One-China, established by Chinese Taipei’s KMT. Its very hard to see a “mutually agreeable arrangement” if Chinese Taipei doesn’t resume agreeing to the One China policy.
Here’s a good article on this very question by a Chinese Taipei academic:
How the 1992 Consensus could save cross-strait relations

@ Anoxia a rustic sanitary engineer was over-heard at the Dew Drop Inn declaiming at length sentiments not only congruent with what we might say is the consensus at Cafe…mind you, this fella is nearly illiterate and innocent of any facility with the internet or computers…has been unable to view even RT since February…not only congruent, but actually more strident! I was astonished. Inter alia he said he hoped for Russia to occupy Washington and erect a guillotine on the Mall! He went on for a long time, and no one objected, several nodded their agreement. Since the fella has been bathed exclusively in nazi propaganda since February… Well, it seems that the nazis have a bigbigproblem in CONUS…shall we say that the BSmachine is impacted? ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fecal_impaction )
The idea of debacle…the breaking of the ice-dam, came to mind…when such an ordinary fella says such things we may wonder how any others think the same in silence. Will the red flag, so to say, actually fly again in CONUS (it used to).
This video clip may amuse (rather rough language)> https://t.me/DonbassDevushka/28961 Instructor illustrates the mathematical relation between finding out and making mistakes… Presents as linear though, when it’s really a nonlinear series step function with variable latency and heterodyne characteristics …but is amusing nevertheless.
So…a shoe has dropped… I thought target “European Union advisory assistance” (Kiev) was the most interesting target of the ongoing affray. There’s a wiki> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Union_Advisory_Mission_Ukraine ( Nice bunch! )
I note that Brother Regis T has some interviews of interest as well…even a rather incoherent mention of Churchill and the death of FDR https://rumble.com/v1mriy2-the-churchill-gang-from-stalin-to-fdr-to-jfk-to-ukraine.html His guest is perhaps more interesting than the discussion. And there are many other interviews…I find Regis’ sites non-intuitive…sleuth ’round.

If confirmed this is a truly awesome development for Russian science:
The other day in Russia there was an event that no one noticed in the fog of propaganda.
The BN-800 reactor was brought to the nominal power level with a full load of innovative MOX fuel. Thus, it was almost possible to close the nuclear cycle.
This means that perpetual nuclear reactors have actually appeared. The fuel is recycled and reused. An example of the atom for the benefit of mankind, which today is in particular contrast with calls for preventive nuclear strikes in the middle of Europe and the joy of blown up bridges with civilians.
In short, as people in the know said, the successful testing of such a reactor means almost waste-free nuclear power with access to uranium 238 (as opposed to classical uranium 235), which will last for millions of years.
If everything is really so, then humanity has solved the energy issues of foreseeable future. And it happened here in the Urals.
Without exaggeration, this is a breakthrough, which, oddly enough, for some reason was not noticed.
https://t.me/russianhead/7391
Breakthroughs probably occur frequently in Russia, what does not occur is the recognition of such accomplishments in the western sphere of influence.
This has been going on for a long time, if the west doesn’t agree with, invent, patent, see and examine, and control such accomplishments, they simply do not exist end of discussion.
And at this point adding another denial to the dinner plate is moot as the plate was full years ago, and even after I lead the denial crowd straight to the mirror of infinity, all they wanted to know was what was on the other side of the mirror. Appears to be a war to the end.
When they locked up the “holocaust deniers,” I kept quiet because I wasn’t a “holocaust denier.”
When they beat up the “lateral thinkers” and imprisoned their leaders, I kept silent because I wasn’t a “lateral thinker”.
When they disenfranchised the “unvaccinated,” I kept silent because I was not an “unvaccinated.”
When they censored the “anti-vaxxers” I kept silent because I thought I wasn’t an “anti-vaxxer”.
When they brought criminal proceedings against the “Putin understanders”, I remained silent, because I still thought I wasn’t a “Putin understander”.
When they blocked the bank accounts of the “conspiracy theorists”, I kept silent because I still had hopes of not being a “conspiracy theorist”.
When the programmable digital central bank money, the identifiability of all statements on the Internet, facial recognition in public space, the social credit point system, access control for the “insufficiently booster vaccinated” and the censorship and punishment of all politically undesirable statements came, there was nobody left able to protest.
