  1. Jury-rigged?… or resourceful?… you decide, lol.

Related: to all who know one whit about cast-in-place concrete construction, esp. in a hurricane zone… gander at aftermath pics of the big quake in Haiti, the crumbled beams, the sheared columns… and tell me where the RE-BAR is…?? I know USAID, UN, et al *sent* Duh Rebar, way back when… what became of it? D’OH!

    • Hah, sounds like Turkish construction habits, as shown in their last earthquake again.

Though I must admit it always boggled my mind why pretty much every exploded “house” I see in ´merican Tornado aftermath pics/vids is basically a plywood hovel concealed as an actual brick or proper wood house.

Oh and for us anti-handymen, a quick and dirty overview of what the fuck I´m looking at in those pics above?
Bit of Utubbing already thought me I´m probably looking at an arc-welder.

      • Simple arc welder, or high-AMP step-down transformer.
Fairly easy to nigger-rig, just gotta get a peak of 50v, load of about 30v and a lot of amps.

Two car batteries in par with the genny in my FFR landy do the trick just fine too.
