Imagine that the real world is mapped exactly into 3D software files, just the thing for an autonomous vehicle, now imagine that in addition to the world itself being mapped, everyone in it is mapped and tracked to an accuracy of say 100 cm.
So right now the 3D model of my town includes my street, my house, and the floorplan of my house, and it has a model of me, sitting on the sofa in my front room, typing this on the giant TV screen monitor with a wif keyboard and mouse.
Now imagine we introduce some holopigs, holographic or cyber cops, and they can roam this virtual world at will.
Meanwhile you and I, we are sat here in the real word, utterly unaware that holopig is stood next to us, watching what we are doing.
Sounds fanciful? Awful? Impossible?
Not so much.
Autonomous cars and Amazon delivery drones might need a 3D model of the world, but there is all sorts of other data that does not need a 3D world, for example financial data.
Holopig exists and trawls through all your financial data, his clones holoamazon and hologoogle go through ALL your fucking data, and they are just as invisble to you and I as holopig.
Holopig is not just invisible to you and I, they have all the trappings of a poltergeist too, they can do stuff that affects us here in the real world, and we cannot communicate with them, much less reason or argue with them.
Holopig is the apex predator in the virtual world.
Hilariously I took a break from this for a couple of hours to complete work on a linear motion jobbie, and see that fuckbook now has a 3d map of the world with every building over 15 feet high, and they know who lives where.
