The original Feroce – this is the wheel that made August Japan a recognizable name for kyusha lovers. The wheel launched simply as the “August Japan Feroce”, but in later years, after the launch of the Feroce Racing Mesh, and a single piece cast version of the design (the Feroce 1-Piece Spoke), the wheel became known as the Feroce 3-Piece Spoke. Five hole PCD versions used 10 spokes instead of eight. The pictured silver/black was the only colour offering.
Early wheels used a rear mounted center with some great details on the casting. Later wheels used a conventional sandwich mount. That makes repair and re-sizing a simple pleasure. At 5.1kg for 14 6J size, they are lighter than many other wheels of the era.
The Feroce models remain widely sought after today. With almost a decade of production, they are not especially rare but can command very high prices (for a non-premium branded wheel) in larger sizes.
