Hiro V1-R
R for reverse. The V1-R used a slightly larger centre disk and reverse mounted shells for larger 15 and 16″ diameters versus the V-1. With now thirty years past since release, some V-1’s and V1-R’s have had center caps and disk plates swapped around, and sometimes confuse which model is which. The V1-R is easily identifiable by a raised edge on the tops of the spoke blades that carry past wheel assembly bolts right to the edge of the centre section.
The V1-R came in gold, silver and white colours, with optional “chrome” highlights, and optional Electron locking centre caps. There was also a limited “Black Version” (year unknown) which came equipped with both options.
Like the V-1, there is extreme demand for this wheel, and it often fetches high dollars.
