Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi says the ISIL Takfiri group is recruiting children in 100 countries to commit terrorist acts in the countries where the terrorist group is operating.
The Iraqi premier stressed on Monday that the terrorist group “conducts organized recruitment for children in 100 countries,” adding, “The exploitation of children for murder is a heinous crime.”
The so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said in March that the ISIL militant group had recruited at least 400 children in conflict-hit Syria in 2015, and exposed them to the Saudi-backed ultra-extremist Wahhabi ideology and military training.
The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) says the United States and Russia press ahead with plans to upgrade their nuclear stockpiles despite international calls for disarmament.
“Both countries have extensive and expensive long-term modernization programs under way for their remaining nuclear delivery systems, warheads and production,” read the institute’s 2015 yearbook entitled, “Armaments, Disarmament and International Security,” issued on Monday.
The report said that Britain, France and China are also “either developing or deploying new nuclear weapon systems or have announced their intention to do so.”
Head of Germany’s BND foreign intelligence service has announced plans to restructure the spy agency in a bid to avert yet another US National Security Agency (NSA) spying scandal that engulfed it earlier this year though he has affirmed that BND remains dependent on the US spy agency to carry out its work.
BND Director Gerhard Schindler stated in a meeting of the agency’s staff council leadership that he intends to bring its 6,500 agents in field offices under central control,
Speaking to the Tasnim News Agency, Amin Hotait, who is also an expert in military and strategic affairs, touched upon the latest developments in the Middle East, saying that the West cannot fully dominate the region and colonize its countries anymore.
“For this reason, it (the West) has raised a plan to split up the Middle East (states),” he added.
Today, the region is facing a great danger posed by the West and its supporters, the Lebanese analyst said, stressing that it is far more serious than the establishment of the Zionist regime of Israel.
He warned that the West’s scheme, which is aimed at dividing Iraq and Syria, will bring perpetual war and conflicts to the region.
