Odorino is right. Even when you mostly lead with drones and bombers, it takes a lot of soldiers to fight half the world. (And they haven’t even invaded Africa, most of South America, or Central Asia yet!)

must be why maduro invited putin to drop in anytime!
Besides, can’t have that DM Shoigu getting too far ahead in freq flyer miles.

Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro given power to rule by decree. The Venezuelan parliament on Sunday 15th approved a law giving the president, Nicolás Maduro, the power to legislate by decree for nine months in the face of what he described as threats by the US government. The so-called “anti-imperialist” law will be in effect from the time it is published in Venezuela’s Official Gazette until 31 December. Maduro requested the expanded powers in response to new US sanctions on Venezuelan officials accused of human rights violations.

Parts of the US-elite already know, that the days of the domination of the Angloamerican Empire are numbered because the dollar will not be the world reserve currency anymore. They try to warn the population since some time. Jim Rickards would not give interviews like the following without being backed by very mighty people.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OUpnY1pgxAs

It might be, that the US-military wants to have more money, it might also be, that they get it in nominal terms. But the dollar will be devalued to a certain degree (estimated 60-80%).

    • Blue on March 18, 2015  ·  at 11:55 pm EST/EDT

He has some facts but interprets them along with lies (such as Russia invading Crimea) and within a false ideological context. Foreign countries were not dumping treasuries because Russia was planning on invading Ukraine but because the US financial system and hegemony was starting to collapse, and because no one wanted to continue being bullied by the petrodollar. His thinking is fuzzed over by the ideology and imperialist group think.

    • anonymous on March 19, 2015  ·  at 12:54 pm EST/EDT

Rickards says he was called in to help the CIA which is not involved in finances. Oh really? The insider trades associated with 911 were placed through brokerage firm Alex Brown. Whose head, Buzzy Krongard, left after 911 to become the Executive Director of the CIA. Such claims made in this video are deliberate lies. That makes Rickards a disinfo agent, and his assertion of Russia invading Crimea further incriminates him as a propaganda mouthpiece to feed the right wing Tea Partiers and their ilk.

The U.S. Fed essentially hinted at keeping interest rates near zero today. This is the key to everything (that is the U.S. Dollar… Iraq, Libya, Syria, Ukraine, the war on Russia, etc.) and as long as Russia and/or China do not put an end to this charade, nothing will change.

While the usual suspects rant & howl about the nerve of russia to hold full nuclear drills inside their own borders, it is likely a cover by these very slime (remember the recent rant on fox by that us general?) for what’s planned by their very selves for the zombie hordes inside the very USSA! 2 months ongoing is one helluva exercise.:

Brand new video report on this breaking story below from Susan Duclos.
From July 15th to September 15th of 2015, the US Army’s Green Berets, US Navy Seals, US Marines Special Ops Command and US Air Force Special Ops Command will be taking part in ‘Jade Helm 15’, 8 weeks of night time drills in 7 states in the southwestern portion of America in which the states of Texas and Utah are both labeled ‘hostile’ territory in the ‘drills’ as outlined in more detail in the US Army Special Ops Command documents embedded below.

    http://thebricspost.com/eu-allies-defy-us-to-join-china-led-asian-bank/#.VQe4BCkRW-M

The new China-led Asian investment bank, a potential rival to institutions such as the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank, has enlisted more US allies as members after Britain decided to join last week.

The membership of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is set to expand further, with three more European countries following Britain’s lead.

France, Germany and Italy have defied US instructions not to participate in the Bank, said UK daily, The Financial Times.

The decision of the three European countries, yet to be officially announced, came in the wake of Britain’s application last week to be a founding member of the $50 billion bank.

    • Peter on March 18, 2015  ·  at 9:59 pm EST/EDT

US “allies” moving into the AIIB plus the Yuan being recognized as a world reserve currency will spell the end of US dollar hegemony. What bank in the world would want to use US dollars when the US may fine them at any time?
If the Yuan is recognized as a word currency, the end of the dollar is inevitable.

    In todays ITAR TASS :

“MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. The Russian Armed Forces have promptly built up the combat capabilities of its groups in the Arctic, Crimea, and the Baltic region, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said on Wednesday.

Shoigu said about 76,000 troops, almost 100 battle ships, vessels and submarines, and also more than 200 aircraft and helicopters are taking part in the Russian Northern Fleet’s combat readiness snap check”.

Haha, the western axis of evil can stick that little lot up their kazoo and blow. Evil bastards carried away with their “exceptionalism” and “indispensability” think they are dealing with another Iraq or Libya here. Lawson is busy bolstering Canada’s Arctic sovereignty in light of “increased aggression by Russia over the ownership of the north.” More brilliant Harperian foreign policy logic. Instead of working out an agreement with the Russians and calming rough seas, we will pour billions of dollars into buying US military hardware.

    Dear The Saker,

An interesting piece on the Crimean unification film esp. this bit:

“I brought up the segment on Feodosia, which is the sole military installation on the peninsula where Putin says they faced the threat of a shoot-out with the garrison. The reason for this exceptional problem was the presence on the Ukrainian side of troops speaking English and carrying NATO IDs. To my knowledge, this is the first mention of a possible direct armed clash with NATO forces in Crimea during the transition of power.”

    http://russia-insider.com/en/2015/03/18/4617

(The piece also has a link to the English version of the film).

So NATO were already in Crimea – hmmm……….so who was going to annex?

EU Desperately Instructs Debaltseve Who Is Bad Guy

BNE sent reporters to Debaltseve. The people there gave eyewitness accounts of Ukraine army destroying their homes, shelling civilians, squarely placing the blame of the high number of deaths on Ukraine’s shoulders.
BNE then does its best to explain how delusional these eye-witnesses must be, and try to explain away their reports with excuses such as they’re simply traumatized, or they must be suffering from Stockholm Syndrome, or they didn’t fully watch the entire battle, only parts of it, they spent a long time in bomb shelters, so they don’t have a fully accurate accounting of what went on.

Welcome to Vladimir Putin’s latest course on ‘6th Dimensional Chess Play 101‘

With quickly evolving events nibbling at its borders, the grandmaster has to be alert at all times.

Your opponent decides to have NATO military ships operating on Russia’s doorstep.

OK. Counteract by having the Tu-22M3 Backfires Ready For Snap Drills in Crimea.

With Mr. Putin thinking 15 steps ahead, the gap between the slower US/Nato kids and the grandmaster is widening rapidly.

Fortunately Western MSM heralds the behemoth’s slowness as a proof of concealed cleverness… cough, cough…

Poor spelling in my last comment. Should have read “largely unnoticed by western MSM”.

Here in Australia, PM Abbott vetoed joining AIIB on direct orders from US, even though most of cabinet ministers seemed be for, or at least interested in joining. That may be changing now that UK and others are joining.
Japan obviously received the same orders, so as well as disobeying direct orders from Washington, they also have to overcome old animosities/distrust from WWII era.

I guess the Australian political landscape is/must be as bleak and barren as it is [almost] everywhere else…

In one word: Murdoch. A couple of articles here by Robert Parry on Murdoch.
              https://consortiumnews.com/2014/12/31/murdoch-scaife-and-cia-propaganda/
              https://consortiumnews.com/2014/12/28/the-victory-of-perception-management/

Pure perception management is how the Abbott government won power. Most Australians now see past the perception management side of things and are realizing what they voted into power.
Although Australian governments have a little room to manoeuvre on domestic policy, they must read directly from US script on foreign policy. The Abbott government obeys US orders with great enthusiasm. Generally these are announced in Murdoch media before the government announces them.

              • Anonymous on March 20, 2015  ·  at 7:19 am EST/EDT

Oh come on, the Abbot Government in Australia is not tye only political entity subservient to the US Embassy. All of the politicians bow before the US Ambassador. Labour, Greens, Coalition, everyone. It has been the case since the last independent Gov of Whitlem which was thrown out by the Governor General under direction from the USA / CIA.

Remember the back stabbing of Kevin Rudd by Gillard, that was done by the party hacks who were under direct orders by the US Ambassador. That was Labour and also Labour are as corporation friendly as Liberal and worse when it comes to actual environment policies given their total incompetance.

The whole political spectrum in Australia makes me sick as does the development policies that see ever increasing Urban Sprawl on the city limits and poorly built but over priced housing stocks. Rampant consumerism, poor food quality and mind numbing discourse and entertainment. Oh and a country who will follow the US to hell and back.

                In a word, sad.

            • Peter on March 19, 2015  ·  at 4:31 am EST/EDT

Just to add to my last reply. Australian politics consist of the two major parties, LNP – Liberal National coalition, Australian Labor Party: ALP, Greens as a minority party, plus various independents and start-up parties.
Both LNP, and ALP stay in the US good books to have a chance of winning power. Greens are independent of US but perhaps could be controlled to some extent by different NGOs operating around the world.
For the reason behind both major parties relying on remaining in the US good books for power you have to look at the Whitlam period back in the 70s.
Whitlam was sacked by the Governor General when he was about to kick the US out of Australia. John Piliger has written a very good article on that time. http://johnpilger.com/articles/the-forgotten-coup-and-how-the-godfather-rules-from-canberra-to-kiev
              Another article here https://nuganhand.wordpress.com/2011/01/23/whitlam-the-cia-and-nugan-hand/

Bill Shorten the opposition leader was probably even more vocal in blaming Russia for the downing of Flight MH17 than Tony Abbott.
Shorten declared Russia guilty of murder within hours of the downing and weeks before investigators gained access to the wreckage.

Georgia are making some bold claims against Russia regarding today’s Tskhinvali agreement and there is Nuland related opposition activities on the way too.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia “condemns the signing so called Agreement which is directed against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and leads to de facto annexation of the occupied Tskhinvali region”.

In the statement published by the Ministry is underlined that so-called agreement on “Alliance and integration” which was signed between Russia and occupied Tskhinvali region is against international law and undermines fundamental principles of the Helsinki Act, such as the sovereign equality of states, inviolability of borders, territorial integrity and implementing obligations.

Of course the US were quick to denounce the agreement aswell.

Previously, Nuland had visited Georgia and met with opposition party UNM (Saakashvili’s party), who conveniently have a protest arranged for this Saturday 21st in which they will demand the government’s resignation.

The words used today by Georgia are the same that are used to discuss Crimea, and that resulted in sanctions and all the rest of it. There is also a political prisoner angle being played, just like Tymoshenko.

The Guardian put out an article today saying Russia are going for a ‘second annexation’ so it seems the western press are ready on it. May just be speculation but worth watching out for.

Both the pile of Psaki and some Brit public skoolboi have done the zio-standard drama queen official denunciations. I wonder if these pathetic colonials realise that what they say about Russia’s relations with other states has zero effect on reality? It’s happening, and there is nothing Israel-America can do to stop it, their behaviour only further ensures the finality of their own liquidation when the fall is complete.

If this fails they send in the jackals for regime change and terror. Only if this fails do they send in the military,

OT, but important. Syria sends a strong message to Israel’s attack dog.

US Drone Downed in Latakia Spied on Syrian Army for ISIL: Analyst

Syrian forces brought down a US drone while it was spying on the military bases in order to pass on the information to the Islamic State militants.

A US drone was shot down over the city of Latakia in northwestern Syria. It was reported that the drone was observing the movement of government troops and trying to determine the location of the Army Staff, military expert Hassan al-Hasan told RIA Novosti.

On Wednesday night the Syrian military shot down a US drone flying in the suburbs of Latakia in the north-west of the country near the Turkish border. According to media reports, the scouting aircraft crossed the Syrian airspace from the sea. Later, the United States announced that it had lost contact with the UAV over Syria.

“This aircraft is high tech and has the ability to capture the movement of the Syrian army, its maneuvers and its command headquarters in order to identify its military secrets, in order to pass on the information to the terrorists,” said Al-Hassan.

Al-Hassan does not exclude the possibility that the downed drone may have been combat, “in that case it could have attacked any civilian or military facility.” The destruction of the drone, according to him, proved the effectiveness of the Syrian army, which “is ready for any surprises.”

    Another excellent report.

General Odoriferous’ head is remarkable for it’s obvious extremely small cranial capacity. While he doesn’t have the apeish features of Australopithicus, the top portion of his skull is greatly reduced from that of the normal Homo Sapiens species of hominids and resembles that of the Australopithicus lineage. Or perhaps a missing link between Australopithicus and Homo Habilis. Certainly the average 1400 cc capacity of normal Homo Sapiens Sapiens is not encased within the Odoriferous skull. At best, that skull could accommodate maybe half that. This guy would make an excellent subject for DNA analysis. Such a study could possibly provide insight into the intelligence abilities of the early hominids. He’s probably shares more genes with these earlier hominid species than modern Homo Sapiens Sapiens do.

I had to look that one up, but it does seem Australopithicus lives on. Currently a protected species in Australia who’s natural habitat is parliament house. A particularly original specimen is T. Abbottsis.

It’s Happening – More US Allies Join The Anti-Dollar Alliance – The United States government just went from “Please, baby, don’t leave me,” to frustrated threats and whining.

After the UK announced it will join new China-led Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) as a founding member late last week, Germany, France and Italy decided yesterday to follow Britain’s lead and join as well.

Blackmail. Extortion. Intimidation. This isn’t the behavior of a trusted friend. It’s the behavior of an arrogant sociopath – And the rest of the world is sick of it.
Welcome to the beginning of the end of the US dollar’s domination. It’s happening.
