It would’ve been great to watch the rats in the barrel but I doubt it, they cried wolf all too often before. Besides they don’t do anything without US SD approval.
SouthFront 6-18-15: on the word “impoverished”, .the vowel stress is on the “o”… not the first “e”. Good report about the chemical plant being targeted. That is also a sure sign of genocidal tendencies and (war) criminal intent . They can claim that murderers of the women killed were just “bad apples” and are being punished so all is well with the righteousness of their side.
And more importantly they, for western consumption, have washed their hands of any complicity while sending a strong local message that anyone ‘suspected of separatism’ is a candidate for brutal summary execution.
putin will ask novorussia to hold guns till 30th june, then he will wait for BRICC meet to finish and then another meeting somewhere.all the time looking over his shoulder if he can please his western enemies.! what a pathetic show by Russia.!
So I will tell you how I see the position of the Kremlin towards Ukraine. In the context of the “Cunning plan” (HSP), which was much talked about “guard-patriots”. In my experience, decisions on important questions come from the First person. Technical issues can certainly be developed performers of different levels, but the formulation of the problem is always in the First person. I.e., the First person tells it WHERE to go, and the performers prepare proposals HOW to do it. “Routes” to the target offered to the First person and they were approved. Directly movement is then left to the mercy of the performers, but with two important restrictions. First, if the path of insurmountable obstacles arise that require a change of route is to report to the First face. Secondly, there is a “datum point” – i.e. the points in which you need to be by a certain time. It is also monitored by the apparatus of the First person. If the official (or middle managers) cannot cope with the task in time or deviates from its route without approval – should be punished, up to removal from post. this is why conversations about a certain Surkov, who is behind Putin’s something there leaked is stupid and naive nonsense. Not official to do anything behind the back of the head is critical for the head issue. Therefore, to understand the situation in Ukraine, the most IMPORTANT THING is to understand the goals of Russia. Ie, what she’s actually from Ukraine wants in the end. Because the goal unchanged. This is the final paragraph, in which Russia is, regardless of whether by direct or roundabout, with overcoming blockages and gunfights, or without stopping. Now. I have previously mentioned (on the basis of the analysis of the statements of the Russian and foreign officials of different levels, as well as developments in policy – level of the Eurasian economic Union and prevent its creation) that Russia’s objectives in Ukraine have been and remain: 1. Guaranteed no military threat to Russia from the territory of Ukraine. 2. Free access to Russia (and EAEC) to the Ukrainian market. This is the main thing. Everything else is secondary fiction. Another thing is that, for example, denazification is objectively necessary condition for achieving these two objectives. Therefore, Russia did not truthfully, when, for example, says that she needs to respect the rights of Russians. However, it is understandable to the population on both sides of the border manifestation of those conditions which ensure Russia’s achievement of its objectives. And not the root cause. Of course, there and a large number of secondary goals, but that’s exactly what is secondary. Directly Russia’s actions dictated the way things are going. It is important to understand that Russia exists in interaction with other countries. Even if this interaction has the character not of cooperation, and confrontation, it’s still interaction. Stupid, dangerous and criminal to make statements about what we don’t care at all and we can do whatever we want. Can’t. This can’t afford even much stronger militarily the United States. Russia can get involved in a global fight, because this fight for humanity may end up sad. And hope that our opponents definitely have chickened out is stupid. When they have, they fight. By the way, as we are. And any fight is always a risk, because the outcome of the fight before it starts, unpredictable, but only probable. Otherwise wars would simply not have been, they would come to end before it began. In addition to the purely military, there is the political aspect. We may not care about the opinion of the G7, but certainly not to piss of the BRICS. And reputation of dangerous nevmenyaem us nowhere. Even Belarus and Kazakhstan, looking at Ukraine, try on what Russia is doing to her. And if they see that we are not a military threat from Ukraine eliminated (emerged after the coup there and threats of developments in aggression 40-million country type of war 080808), and reviving the Empire – we lose Belarus and Kazakhstan. And, considering that the establishment of the Russian world by military means are unable on their own not only to move, but even just to hold a piece of Donbass (which I had to enter “holiday-makers”), the need for a balanced and cautious movement towards the goal becomes obvious. Emphasize: the purpose remains the same, changing the route to it. That’s what we see happening in Ukraine. When I had the chance of peaceful takeovers of regional administrations – Russia supported the “Russian spring”. Keep Ukraine behave the same as led – now Novorossia vengeance existed. But Kolomoisky, Corban and several other politicians of Ukraine, together with the nationalists, were able to bring the situation under control. Why? And because people in the East of Ukraine is quite passive. It was noted by both Shooters, and zapadinsky national guardsmen – and those and others with resentment. And when it became known that Ukraine intends to fight for the East – Putin bluntly asked the supporters of the “Russian spring” back. This is not a defeat but a tactical retreat. Maneuver. But Putin was sent to hell, and the war began. If supporters of the “Russian spring” a chance to win their revolution? Well, theoretically, Yes. He was Fidel Castro’s Cuba, for example. However, they had to give people this idea, which would have raised the population and the army drew over to their side. The revolutionaries have not coped with it and were almost defeated in the war. But their defeat prevented Russia achieving its goals – and they provided military support. But as soon as the Ukrainian leadership has been shown to defeat by military means LDNR will not work – were signed Minsk agreement and began the process of broadcasting of Ukraine on the neck of the West, so they started getting sick of each other. In parallel, the transfer pipe to the East – in Asia, as well as preparing to abandon the transit of gas through Ukraine. Plus – preparation for the supply of the Crimea from Russia and the construction of a bridge there. All this takes time. Accordingly, it is necessary to stretch without making too sudden movements. In parallel with this, the Ukrainian citizens were given an extremely favourable regime of stay in the territory of Russia and obtain the status of temporary asylum (and then to obtain citizenship to military service left and refugees was easier. But once the war happened – it eliminated the personnel of the Ukrainian army, a large part of Ukrainian armored vehicles and military-air forces of Ukraine. That’s all. So, by and large, the task of Russia is to waste time with minimal damage to himself, while holding electricity and water supply of the Crimea without interrupting gas supplies to Europe and building pipelines to Asia and bypassing Ukraine. Ideally, if it is possible, by 2019 Ukraine would become a beggar a stub, which don’t need more West. And she would come to what Russia want with her. But the US needs a war, so probably an ideal situation. And the one that will be, Russia will try to continue to be used for rapid progress towards the goal. Exactly to the same purpose, which was, is and will remain. Therefore, those who say that Russia has no plan regarding Ukraine, are partly right in the sense that the detailed plan no. It can not be, because apart from the plans of the EU, the US, and even power in Ukraine itself (the same the Nazis, for example). But, in accordance with the situation, Russia performs action that this situation is adequate and thus will certainly promote it to the target. This is not a “cunning plan”, and the normal strategic work. Only this flexibility in tactics, and constant adherence to the goal, and ensures victory in a changing under the influence of opponents setting.
Voentorg is more than just weapons and the occasional ‘operator’, it’s also intel. Hopefully Russia will also send UAVs with infrared to make it easier for the NAF to start silencing those guns and dropping hell on those gleeful artillerymen who thought killing grannies and kids in Donetsk and Gorlovka was fun.
Glad Russia is hyping up some activity regarding the borders…just as well with the increased aggressive behaviour against them – oh, wait a minute – it’s because of “the behavior of a more assertive” Russia…
The language, the propaganda, the lies – is there an Honours degree on the subject?
Meanwhile, the global financial ‘cleansing event’ draws closer. Greece is going Icelandic, and the Globalist maggots are writhing in terror and desperation…
Well Terra Hertz, I hope you’re right….the hurray patriots have been calling foul on the new government of Greece for a few months now, but I guess its not an easy decision to leave the EU>
Hopefully they can jail their bankers, like Iceland…I wish the North American continent could boast something like that.
I’m going against Saker predictions here, but I think Syriza will stick to non austerity measures or default.
Troika is now? emergency meetings ect ect. Hopefully Syriza’s leaders don’t meet with unfortunate accidents in the next week or so.
I don’t see them leaving the EU (at least yet),the Eurozone yes, that’s possible. But the EU,I’m not sure about.Though I think in the end it would be best to leave the EU (and NATO) and align themselves with the BRIC’s powers.First they would need to accept Russia and China’s offers. And that hasn’t really happened yet.And on another note.Greece staying in the EU doesn’t seem to be doing any good for Russia either.I hear all the time about how this country or that country is going to stand up to the sanctions against Russia. And yet,at the end of the day. Every time the sanctions renewal comes up they are always automatically renewed, every time.So the idea that those countries will “man-up” someday is very doubtful.
Now you are bringing up a big question: Has Russia’s approach of being friends at all costs with Germany and the EU worked? There were lots of signs that things were going the wrong way a long time before the coup in Kiev. As Lavrov said, “The past is becoming clearer and clearer.”
The Saker gave one of Russia’s goals at the beginning of this crisis as breaking Europe off from the US. Has it been achieved? Or are we simply seeing some good cop/bad cop games? Besides, some of the “moderation” from the EU is not good at all. When they promise to help rebuild the Donbass, it is predicated upon Kiev talking control. In other words, winning the war.
My suspicion is that Russia should have spent more time and money on the ex-Soviet states and taken a stronger stand on things like the rampant Russophobia or Nazism in places like the Baltic states or the Ukraine. Playing nice didn’t work out very well, although it did mean fewer problems for the Foreign Ministry’s Gazprom division, which may have been the highest goal.
The related issue is “Can Russia change the EU to make it pro-Russian or pro-Eurasian?” Many argue this is possible, but I would think two asteroids hitting both the City of London and Wall Street at the same time might be required.
“My suspicion is that Russia should have spent more time and money on the ex-Soviet states and taken a stronger stand on things like the rampant Russophobia or Nazism in places like the Baltic states or the Ukraine. ”
Russia was run by Liberals and stolen blind by Oligarch criminals.
They had no money and no leadership to do what you say they should have done.
Nothing is accomplished in a vacuum, and looking backward is not a smart way to move forward.
Now, since Putin, we see some forward thinking. Particularly, post 2008. However, he was not President for the Medvedev term, so, really, since 2013.
Now take a look.
He has Crimea and most of Donbass, and hundreds of kilometers of Ukraine border.
He also has China.
He has the EAEU and the New Silk Road joining as one large project.
He has the BRICS New Development Bank.
He has SCO
He has the AIIB.
He has a new and powerful and newly equipped military.
How’s he doing?
By the way, NATO is changing underwear hourly because they understand they will be blasted into vapor if they really have to fight a war against Putin’s military.
Syria is still standing. Iraq and Iran are going Russia’s way, getting supplied and Intel help.
Egypt, though still on the wrong side of Syria and Yemen, are getting very integrated with Russia and will be part of the Eurasian project.
Diplomacy, the sort the Russians play, is very complex and not easily understood by impatient and omniscient minds. They stand their ground and find new ways to move forward Russian interests. They are immovable when they must be and as flexible as water streaming down hillsides when it benefits Russian interests.
Turkey is a prime example. Educating Turkey to embrace its own best interests has been an implacable task until Putin swiftly challenged Erdogan to take on the Turkish Stream. Meanwhile, Putin was unafraid to stand with the Armenian diaspora and survivors of the genocide.
He deals with Central Asia in very clever ways. There is a lot of bad blood from Soviet days in the region that the Hegemon attempts to exploit. Yet, the EAEU moves ahead and SCO is ironclad.
So, take a deep dive into the facts and the developments of just the last year and you will see a Russia, a leadership and the people’s approval that is profound, singular and powerful.
Mistakes? Some.
Missed opportunities? Perhaps.
But no nation controls events. They react to threats, challenges, changes and attacks.
Russia is doing just fine.
And now, since 2013, there is a plan for most eventualities.
Could Ukraine have been prevented?
No one thinks so except bloggers and anti-Putin trolls.
It was a 23-year plan built on 70 years of Russophobia and nazism, financed with $5 Billion and led by first class criminals and crooks cultivated by EU and US for most of their careers.
While the civilization of the world looks at mass murder in Donbass and blames the victims, and when the OSCE immorally, unethically and illegally looks the other way or equivocates on the perpetrators, you have legalized ethnic cleansing.
Hell, no one gives a damn about the poor souls on MH-17. The only concern is to blame the militia, Putin and Russia.
Life is cheap. Death is riding high.
If the Baltics becomes another battlefield, you can be certain West and Central Europe will also burn.
Ukraine is not repeatable.
The Russians have repeatedly publicized their military doctrine that war will include all NATO targets that must be hit and tactical nukes will be used if needed.
What you hear in the West is bravado. Prairie chickens dancing, wings wide, trying to appear bigger than they are. The Bear will not join the dance circle. It’s ground zero.
I refer you to the first humanitarian convoy of white Russian 18-wheelers. Remember the two-weeks of delay? 200 trucks. The Russians had patience. Remarkable with what those drivers had to put up. The long drive, the blocking of border crossings, weeks of delay. The threats from Kiev.
What happened? Ukraine caved. The trucks went to the south and went into Donbass.
We now are on our 30th convoy of humanitarian aid.
Is anyone messing with the white trucks?
Putin has patience and iron-will. What can be, will be.
I’ve been avidly reading about V Putin since around 2002, i’ve watched the birth, growth and development of the SCO, CSTO and the BRICS, you always/often put the meat on the bones of my understanding and awareness of what is really going on, your authoritative analysis i find inspirational.
Maybe the silken threads woven through the eurasian and european landmass by Vlad, Xi and the other spiders will ultimately prevail in capturing the western flies of chaos in their growing web of civilization, progress and hope.
“The related issue is “Can Russia change the EU to make it pro-Russian or pro-Eurasian?” Many argue this is possible, but I would think two asteroids hitting both the City of London and Wall Street at the same time might be required.”
I think the odds are the same on the possibilities of those happening. If I was a gambler I would never place a bet on either of them.
“The hurray patriots have been calling foul on the new government of Greece for a few months now, but I guess it’s not an easy decision to leave the EU”
The “hurray patriots” are absolutely correct in this case. Indeed, Tsipras’s Government is merely a servile bootlicker who didn’t even try to fool the ZIonazi Troika — it fooled a substantial part of the Greek electorate. Tsipras and the Oligarchs at home and abroad know all too well that, with the exception of the Communists (KKE) and the Nazis (Golden Dawn), the prevalent mood in Greece is characterized by, shall we say, liberal “European values”, meaning that Greece should remain in the EU cesspit and, preferably, keep the Euro as well. Hence, Tsipras could easily promote the wishful thinking that Greece’s tormentors would soften by listening to soothing pleas about “European Harmony” (and a little noise out in the streets of Greece), at least when accompanied by due spinelessness and cowardice with regard to contemporary imperialist warmongering and lawlessness.
The conclusion that it’s not an easy decision to leave the EU in the case of Greece is only too true, but for all the wrong reasons.
The Tu-214R aircraft just had completed it’s test flight from Kasan to Crimea and back along East Ukrainian border.
“Built by the Kazan Aircraft Production Association’s (KAPO) and flown from the company’s airfield, the Tu-214R registered RA-64514, serial number 42305014, is the second of the two examples of this kind of aircraft built under contract with Russia’s Ministry of Defense.
The Tu-214R is a Russian ISR (Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance) aircraft.
It is equipped with all-weather radar systems and electro optical sensors that produce photo-like imagery of a large parts of the ground: these images are then used to identify and map the position of the enemy forces, even if these are camouflaged or hidden. Furthermore the aircraft is known to carry sensor packages to perform ELINT (Electronic Intelligence) and SIGINT (Signal Intelligence) missions: the antennae of the Tu-214R can intercept the signals emitted by the enemy systems (radars, aircraft, radios, combat vehicles, mobile phones etc) so as it can build the EOB (Electronic Order of Battle) of the enemy forces: where the enemy forces are operating, what kind of equipment they are using and, by eavesdropping into their radio/phone communications, what they are doing and what will be their next move.” http://theaviationist.com/2015/06/18/tu-214-r-spotted-along-the-border/
Hopefully it has collected information that can be advantageously used by NAF in a very near future.
If any US/Polish mercs were speaking in their native tongues on an unencrypted radio or cell phone this aircraft could’ve picked that up to…something for the NATO ists always denying any Western boots on the ground in Donbass to contemplate.
Oh come now, except for amateurs, no one uses open radios for the last decade, spread spectrum is easy to do, every DSL and Cable modem has a DSP capable of doing it, which means it adds $5 to the cost of a radio. US merc forces uses stuff even more advanced than their own military. I would think most high caliber special forces uses radio’s that can not be picked up and look like static or random noise which of course cost a lot more. hence why even the US taps into communication hubs, even in Syria.. To spy on enemy forces. The ukies uses very old stuff, maybe some of the volunteers also uses this stuff. This stuff is not new, been available for many decades. Ever since cell phones came up but everyone knows how cell phones work and the equipment is cheaply available to snoop even though 30 years ago it would have cost many millions to be able to snoop on even such a simple device. if we want to find any real mercs, it would be far too difficult to do so unless they surrender.. Also another thing, we see a lot of movies and think mercs are the best of the seal teams, in reality they are mostly drop outs who could not get into the military and had to work as guards. I would not give much credit to polish mercs other than as bait. Even Russian mercs are pathetic. Serbian mercs at least were professional. American mers with their tats and pot bellies and arrogant attitude are great at scaring women and children and they can kill by sitting on most people they train.
Just was reading about ISIS and their tactics, they have used another US tactic of carpet bombing. They use truck bombs that can wipe out life in a half mile area.. But the SAA don’t have any weapons that can take out armored trucks at that distance hence who ever shoot it also dies so they run away. Putin talks a lot but he don’t seem to give stuff that could really come in useful. If the SAA had as many anti tank rockets as IS does, they would have been stopped in their tracks. Trying to increase Russian weapon exports is not the way to win.
-and from that page you can read on all about “Russia’s endgame in Ukraine” and such things as “Russia remains undeterred in its goal of keeping Ukraine from moving closer to the West. Russia has backed the violent separatist uprising…”
Read more “When the separatists were faltering, Russia sent weapons, troops and guidance”
-How come they forgot to mention those week-after-week thousands of Russian tanks invading Ukraine too?
Note the careful coaching and that land-bridge graphic and invasion of Crimea :
“Crimea was technically an autonomous region of Ukraine until Russia invaded it last year. Ukraine was unprepared to fight Russia. After Russia’s annexation of Crimea, the West became wary of Russia’s expansionist pursuits”. Bold type above is the NYT’s.
Note the meme -clearly the message here is that their readers must clamour for arming Ukraine so that it can repel the Russian hordes next time.
The US switch from baiting Russia to suddenly declaring a truce and turning on China to then turning back to Russia was a bit confusing. It seems China has been put in the too hard basket for the moment and they have doubled down on breaking Russia. Bit of internal fighting in the Fascist (free trade) camp as well.
Doing a bit of reading, Taiwan will be a point of attack if US want to do serious damage to China’s relations with the world.
China is willing to wait a long time for reunification through peaceful integration, but will not countenance separation.
If Taiwan announced independence, China would take control with military which would put them in the same position as Russia – expansionist, aggressive ect ect.
If US cannot drum up a war with Russia (make Russia attack somewhere) over what it is doing now, Taiwan seems to be the next weak point.
No doubt NGOs are hard at work pushing independence for Taiwan at the moment.
I think you are right there on Taiwan. And I have an interesting point to discuss along those lines. Since when should Russia and China worry about the West’s opinion. Throughout history and until now, countries do what they believe serve their interests (especially great powers),not what pleases others. Russia sells gas, oil, grains, arms, and raw materials, abroad mostly.Does anyone think there aren’t nations that will buy those products if Russia were to liberate Ukraine from the junta. Is the World suddenly going to go without heat for their homes, and energy for their factories.Armies going to go without weapons to defend themselves.People going to not buy Russian grain, starve themselves to spite Russia. The US invaded Iraq, did US products disappear from the World.Has anyone boycotted US companies in response to the US’s Worldwide aggressions.I don’t notice a lack of customers at McDonalds or people not buying Coca Cola products. And Microsoft isn’t screaming of no customers for Windows. If China is forced to take action over Taiwan. Is anyone not going to buy their products. Most stores in the US at least, are overflowing with Chinese made goods. You would see a huge decline in the ordinary citizens lifestyle if those products vanished overnight.Would US consumers, and more importantly the owner classes allow that.Today, one of the most repressive racist countries on earth is Israel. The crimes they’ve committed (and continue to commit) are hideous.Yet except for some small success at boycotting Israeli goods. Those produced in their illegal settlements in the occupied territories of Palestine. There is no real damage to Israels economy. No one (at least not many) are boycotting Israeli products and services, including their lucrative arms trade.Countries like Russia and China (and their friends) are Worlds of their own.China has 4 times the number of people the US has.And double the EU’s population. They could (and should be/are ) develop a gigantic internal market that wouldn’t need to even export anything and still sell their products. While Russia with double the population of any 2 other great countries together in Europe. And with the new EEU agreements, plus tie-ins to China’s market. Should be able to replace any and all markets in the West for their exports and imports. As well as re-industrializing their own nation to not need most imports.I really find the excuses given of these nations worrying over the West’s opinion of their actions nonsense.
The key indication is not what lies the NYT prints, but that so many people read and believe it, and this is why we should not expect any changes in US policy (which is what the NYT propagates) or population’s attitudes will change any time soon. The media does not report public opinion, but makes it.
TV is important too of course: watch what the telescreen says to know what Big Brother is up to.
It’s funny that in George Orwell’s “1984” the telescreen cannot be turned off and it also can and does watch what its individual captive audience is up to.
In today’s world there’s no need for a telescreen that can’t be turned off because the masses willingly and with great addictive relish keep their TVs on. No cameras are needed either since the NSA has global dragnet surveillance on everyone and if directed individual surveillance becomes necessary they can hack into anyone’s computer and turn on cameras, keystroke loggers etc.etc.
Orwell’s dystopia in stealth form and embraced by the masses; very little active promotion of doublethink or thought-police needed as the populace already has a passive lead MSM blanket stifling any critical or dangerous innovative thought.
Could a movement to toss TVs ever go viral do you think? It is critical that it does.
I have been TV and consequently insidious poison free for close to 3 decades now.
“In today’s world there’s no need for a telescreen that can’t be turned off”
Billboards at every corner in every city on every highway in every subway on every bus? Logos on every t-shirt on every pencil on every camera on each single banana?
If you work for a big company or for the government you need to know what is on the news, not because you are interested in this mind-numbing nonsense, but just to know what is PC today and what is not.
Whatever is written in the New York Times is fit to be taught at schools and parroted on talk shows. But say anything that goes against the official dogma of the day, and bingo, you are a ‘right wing nut’.
Oddly capitalist, people have to pay big money for TV, even by law in England. But when people go bankrupt, even if one of the last ‘luxuries’ to go, at some point TV is also given up by necessity.
Yet, there are a number of people I’ve heard from or about who are pulling that electronic drug needle from their veins (maybe when they have to leave the house to go to their 2nd or 3rd job). At the same time some people are turning more towards the internet.
It’s slow going but maybe we will see more withdrawal from that addiction, and a reawakening of consciousness.
One thing working against tossing TV is the disruption of social interaction, extended family, town meetings, talking with neighbors, church activities, bowling clubs (http://www.amazon.com/Bowling-Alone-Collapse-American-Community/dp/0743203046 ) — all such grouping and organization being nasty for fascists maintaining control of the masses.
TV is not interactive but isolates people. I was amazed when I saw a questionnaire, 20 years ago, for potential Big Brother volunteers which listed one of the activities to do with kids as part of providing a ‘father figure’ for those without fathers as ‘watching TV together’, as if it was something actually done ‘together’ — an old and young zombie, staring straight ahead, entranced. Same thing happens in families of course, parents and kids sitting in isolation from each other, even in separate rooms, absent communication between family members but soaking up fictional people leading fictional lives.
“Yet people who define patriotism by the frequency and rapidity of their flag-waving think that we all have some collective duty to ignorantly believe whatever we’re told by the government.
I disagree. So does the New Oxford American Dictionary, which defines ‘patriot’ as
“a person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors.”
There’s that phrase again– ‘defending against enemies.’
Who exactly are these ‘enemies’, by the way? Are they men in caves who hate us for our freedom? Arab teenagers with intense sexual angst and a collection of firearms?
No. The real enemies are not foreign… but domestic. It is the apparatus of government itself that has collapsed upon the founding document of the nation.
It’s not unpatriotic to lament how far a government’s practices have diverged from its Constitution.
It’s not unpatriotic to want to be free.
And it’s not unpatriotic to take steps to make that happen.
In fact, people who think it’s everyone’s patriotic duty to pay taxes are only feeding the beast that makes them less free.
And it’s entirely delusional to think that all of this can change by going to a voting booth.
There’s no politician that’s going to change this”.
This is what I have always said in regard to the west. The author of this article is referring to the US government but this also applies equally to the UK and all western governments. The enemy of the people isn’t in some far flung corner of the globe plotting and scheming in some cave somewhere, the enemy of the people is right here on home soil and its the evil and corrupt scum making up the respective western governments who are one step at a time depriving their populace of their hard won freedoms under the pretext of “fighting terrorism” while impoverishing them at the same time through various “Austerity” measures which is nothing more than a redistribution of public wealth into the pockets of the 1%. When are the citizens of the west going to say enough is enough ?
Over at Reuters and Associated Press they’re talking about “the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic”.
Duh. Of course it’s self-proclaimed. You proclaim your own independence. The US is self-proclaimed: Thomas Jefferson (and others) proclaimed the Declaration of Independence, not King George. So why does the US press keep repeating “the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic”?
Sovereignty can’t be given, sovereignty has to be taken, asserted, defended and of course expressed. (Doing so on an individual level brings great bliss.)
You are totally correct. But there seems to be a belief in the World today that a government has to be “approved” by other governments to somehow legally exist.I can’t think of any country in the World, off-hand, that started any other way than Novorossia has.Even Russia herself fought the Khazar Empire for much of its territory. And later the Poles and Mongols to reunite and form “Russia” as we know it.Can you imagine the neighbors of the early Russia sitting around and saying “the self-proclaimed Tsardom of Russia” has attacked us,etc, etc. That “self-proclaimed” BS is purely for propaganda purposes. And Russia makes an error by going along with the West’s talking points. Even if they don’t want to officially recognize the Republics they don’t need to play along with the West’s game. They could use terms like “rebel Republics, rebel territories of Donbass, etc, etc”.By using the West’s derogatory term for Novorossia they implicitly accept the West’s viewpoint as valid. That’s a huge error for now,as well as the future.
The Nazis may strike back against Poroshenko’s regime tonight:

Should’ve nuke Washington during Vietnam war.

About “Cunning plan” for Ukraine
So I will tell you how I see the position of the Kremlin towards Ukraine. In the context of the “Cunning plan” (HSP), which was much talked about “guard-patriots”. In my experience, decisions on important questions come from the First person. Technical issues can certainly be developed performers of different levels, but the formulation of the problem is always in the First person. I.e., the First person tells it WHERE to go, and the performers prepare proposals HOW to do it. “Routes” to the target offered to the First person and they were approved.

While the ‘hooray’ patriots and anons are groaning Putin just sent Russia’s version of JSTARS to map the Ukie front lines from Russian air space.
http://www.businessinsider.com/a-new-russian-spy-plane-flew-alongside-ukraines-eastern-border-today-2015-6
The language, the propaganda, the lies – is there an Honours degree on the subject?
http://rt.com/news/268123-nato-biggest-reinforcement-defense/
“The language, the propaganda, the lies – is there an Honours degree on the subject?”
Yes, indeed. Semantics: the relationship between words and meaning.
Meanwhile, the global financial ‘cleansing event’ draws closer. Greece is going Icelandic, and the Globalist maggots are writhing in terror and desperation…
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-06-17/greek-debt-committee-just-declared-all-debt-illegal-illegitimate-and-odious
You make a difference Larchmonter, thanks.
Furthermore the aircraft is known to carry sensor packages to perform ELINT (Electronic Intelligence) and SIGINT (Signal Intelligence) missions: the antennae of the Tu-214R can intercept the signals emitted by the enemy systems (radars, aircraft, radios, combat vehicles, mobile phones etc) so as it can build the EOB (Electronic Order of Battle) of the enemy forces: where the enemy forces are operating, what kind of equipment they are using and, by eavesdropping into their radio/phone communications, what they are doing and what will be their next move.”
http://theaviationist.com/2015/06/18/tu-214-r-spotted-along-the-border/
For those who need a top-up on their daily MSM propaganda, you can read the latest revelations from that bastion of unbiased reporting, the NYT:
Discontent in Eastern Ukraine Leads to Rare Public Protest
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/16/world/europe/discontent-in-eastern-ukraine-leads-to-rare-public-protest.html?ref=topics
Note the meme -clearly the message here is that their readers must clamour for arming Ukraine so that it can repel the Russian hordes next time.
http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2015/03/06/world/europe/russias-endgame-in-ukraine.html
Orwell would be proud. It’s enough to make you barf.
“Could a movement to toss TVs ever go viral do you think? It is critical that it does.”
I shot (literally) my tv about 15 years ago, never got another one and no regrets since then.
Of course you don’t need to use a gun, a brick will do the job just as good :)
Too funny.
From an interesting article on zerohedge today :
When are the citizens of the west going to say enough is enough ?
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-06-18/tell-next-idiot-who-thinks-youre-unpatriotic

Note he’s not meeting with the gove4rnment, but with Dnipro-1. Doesn’t he know that is Right Sector? and that means Nazis?
Yeah, he knows, the b****d.
