Construction work has begun in Bahrain to build Britain’s first permanent military base in the Middle East since it 1971, Bahrain’s state media reported Sunday.
“The ground-breaking ceremony for the establishment of the marine facilities headquarters in the kingdom of Bahrain” was launched on Saturday, the official BNA news agency.
Regarding A321 I think Putin is between a rock and a hard place.
The very early announcements by the US and Russia that it appeared to be
an accident are suspicious.
If Putin is trying to cover this up for fear of a violent reaction on the part of the Russian people, and is discovered doing so, it’s curtains for him.
On the other hand if he pursues openness and transparency and it is discovered that it was not an accident and that the US was behind it via ISIS the Russian people may very well demand revenge.
War or a Chamberlain peace in our time?
If I was Putin (and I am hologramically) I would be open no matter what the consequences.

Unless traces of explosive are found in the wreckage, and these most likely from an on-board bomb rather than external missile, then it is a reasonable, albeit extremely rare, alternative that poor quality repairs to the prior tail strike/manufacturing defects/metal fatigue to the rear bulkhead seal led to ‘explosive’ decompression and loss of the tail section.
Mechanical sabotage is even less likely but still possible.
I am reminded of a restoration conducted on a WWII Messerschmitt ME-262, a jet fighter that was 10 years ahead of its time. An internal cut almost all the way through the vertical stabiliser was found, invisible once the skin covered it.
A lot of slave labour was brutally employed in caves and other hidden areas. Join the dots.
so israel is out of the picture?

I certainly would not want to be a part of that Chechen group in Russia trying to join ISIS.That was sent back to Kadyrov in Grozny.

I think if there is proof ISIS or syrian based terrorists responsible, use it as good reason to send in ground troops to wipe them off.
