There is the “smoking gun” Putin needed if he was “serious” about punishing the suppliers of the terrorists (which he wasn’t by the way). But if he was serious there is all that is needed to use the UN resolution just passed as an excuse to hit targets in Saudi Arabia connected to those arms shipments. And in reality, there is also what is needed to hit targets in the US as well. Now I’m 100% sure he won’t (and sadly, I’m sure they are too). But still, the evidence is there if he wanted to use it.
Apparently Turkey have sot down what looks to be an SU-24. Upping the anti? It is becoming obvious that the US and assorted groupies will not give up their ambitions for Syria without a fight.
US was pushing France to get NATO involved in Syria after the Paris attacks, but I guess Turkey will be more accommodating.

could be game changer here?
ANKARA, November 24. /TASS/. The yet-unidentified fighter jet that crashed in Syria near the Turkish border earlier on Tuesday had violated Turkish air space and was downed by Turkish Air Force interceptors, the CNN Turk television channel reports quoting local and Syrian sources.
Media reported that a fighter jet has crashed in Syria on the border with Turkey on Tuesday.
Reportedly the plane had ventured into Turkish airspace and F-16 fighter jets, ordered into the air in accordance with the country’s rules, shot it down.
The plane has not been identified yet.

MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. A Sukhoi Su-24 attack aircraft of Russia’s air group in Syria has crashed in Syrian territory, presumably, as a result of an attack from the ground, the Russian Defense Ministry has said.
The Defense Ministry said the plane was at an altitude of 6,000 meters. The pilots’ fate is unclear at the moment. According to early reports, both managed to eject themselves.
“A probe is in progress into the circumstances of the Russian plane’s crash. The Defense Ministry says the plane invariably stayed within Syrian airspace. Objective monitoring data confirm this,” the Defense Ministry said.”
I imagine Rus satellite can verify source of attack so they can retaliate.
Russian SU-24 plane shot down by Turkey. Turkey claims it was flying over Turkish terrorisation and was shot by F-16’s. Russia claims it was flying over Syrian territory and was shot from the ground. Turkey claims that the plane had been warned 10 times within 5 minutes.
I had commented earlier, in connection to bombing of flight that killed 224 people, that Russia has been ambushed. After the bombing, Russia cannot back out of Syria. Now the Turkey provocation will force Russia to open a front with NATO member. Can Russia come out unscathed and with dignity ?
May be it was all planned. That’s why ISIS claimed the bombing. Additionally, Paris attack has led to UN resolution that will allow NATO led forces in Syria which will oppose Russian plans in Syria.
On Nov. 17 at a friendly soccer match between Turkey and Greece, a group of Turkish spectators interrupted a minute of silence honoring the victims of the Nov. 13 Islamic State (IS) attacks in Paris, whistling, chanting slogans and shouting “Allahu Akbar.”
There are three important reasons why this incident, at Istanbul’s Basaksehir Stadium, cannot be dismissed as an ordinary act of hooliganism.
First, the protest illustrates that a segment of Turkish society clearly approves of IS terrorism.
Second, it reflects an alarming sense of estrangement from the victims and the communities to which they belong. This lack of empathy could well stem from the callousness of excluding “the other” (and possibly lead to one’s own sense of exclusion being transformed into radical hostility expressed in violent action).
Third, the whistles and chants, which continued during the Greek national anthem, demonstrate how Turkey’s political culture has changed since President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s Justice and Development Party (AKP) came to power in 2002.
The AKP government, which has evolved into the “Erdogan regime,” has sought through social engineering campaigns to permanently reshape Turkey and consolidate its power.
Islamist radicalization has been one of the by-products of this political culture, which can generally be described as Islamist, pro-Sunni and Ottomanist.
In November (2015), Russia is set to launch test trading of its new domestic-produced benchmark oil. It is expected to drive up the price for Russian oil and end its dependence on Brent pricing. That may result in trading Russian oil in rubles. The plan to create a Russian oil benchmark has been in the making for several years. Currently, Russian-produced Urals and ESPO (crude transported through the ESPO pipeline) is traded cheaper against Brent due to the lack of a transparent pricing mechanism and guarantees of delivery.
What is Russia hoping for in the end? It’s already assured of the Asia market with ESPO; but it is seeking to tap into the American market and compete with West Texas Intermediate (WTI).
Hi South Front, thanks for news update..good to see you back here. I’ve sent the video on to other friends.

Russia has just had an Su 24 shot down by Turkish f16.
That should not have been allowed to happen.
Brad Cabana is stating that one Russian pilot is dead and Russia has summoned the UN Security Council.

Now the war escalates.

How is it no one mentions this as the absolute timing for all the recent escalation, hmmm?
Seems it’s very late stages of unseating petrodollar.
Note it even says Second phase 2015 1 MM bpd:

According to the Russians, the ESPO crude blend is even better than competing blends from Dubai—at least in terms of sulfur content.
