(Machine translation): Review the Ministry of defence to the statement of the military Department of the Netherlands about the alleged threat of action last Thursday, June 24, the Russian aircraft near the Dutch frigate “Evertsen” in the Black sea:
“24 Jun 2021 by means of objective control of the black sea fleet is monitoring the actions of NATO ships in the Black sea was established, which was in international waters frigate “Evertsen” Netherlands Navy, changed course and began to move in the direction of the Kerch Strait.
To prevent violations of the border of the territorial waters of the Russian Federation, Su-30 fighters and Su-24 bombers were lifted into the air from the duty forces, which flew at a safe distance near the Dutch Navy ship.
After the flights of Russian aircraft, the Evertsen frigate immediately changed course from the border of the Russian Federation and continued following the same route.
Here is the footage:
The simple reason this is going on is the west seems to truly either believe in their suprimacy or that the russians will in the end not do anything just like in 1990. So there are only two options.
1. They are right russia falters again and the west wins.
2. They are wrong and we all lose cause they might continue this until someone pushes a certain red button.
Perhaps China needs to step in. I have the feeling the west fears china more and believes that chine is more likely do floow through with a threat.
All these sanctions against russia i feel they would not dare to do this to china.
The big question stays is there a way to persuade the west that russia will not falter this time around
without caressing the big red button too much.
They are doing the exact same thing in the Taiwan strait. Are they also thinking that China is weak like the 90s? Don’t think so because if the are doing that to China now it s because they know China is strong.
They are doing that because they think they are the best and invincible and that they have the God given right to rule the world. They are ready to do anything to keep the empire going including war. They don’t fear war because they are sure they will win.
For the time being, the One World Government will be installed in the West first. And that concerns very many here.
Yes, but the Taiwan Straits aren’t the same as 12nm territorial waters under UNCLOS, hence different reaction from China, which makes the Crimea incidents more provocative in nature.
If the NATO vessels continue to sail into Russian waters, then Russia will sooner rather than later be obliged to take firm action. Failure to do so will lead to further and greater provocations and and early possible war. Russia may have missed a trick when it allowed HMS Defender to escape unscathed. The British destroyer should have been disabled, towed into port and its crew arrested. This would have served as a strong warning to the UK and other NATO members that Russia’s patience has reached its limit. In this way war may be postponed for a while
Time is on Russia’s side at least for the next few years, as it finalises its military modernisation and refurbishment. In the longer term war will be inevitable and of course it won’t be caused by Russia or China.
No
No
No
The Russian authorities handled the incident very well, the use of a Navarea warning in force, the dropping of bombs and the coastguard ship interception worked.
There is need for Russia to take such aggressive actions, within the framework of law.
Like I said provocations won’t stop worse they are accelerating.
It seems some people in nato want to escalate fastly.
Don’t know why they decided to do provoke Russia in that way.
Everything was ready in April for the ukrainian attack. Russia reacted accordingly. Nato stopped it and even cancelled the deployment of some warships to de-escalate.
And now they are dramatically increasing tensions and escalaring like nothing happened back in April. It doesn’t make sense.
What changed between April and June to justify what nato is doing? I don’t get it. They de-escalate in April and 2 months later they escalate like never before?
What are these maniacs thinking?
The timeline for the Davos/WEF crowd to push through their One World Government is growing short. The East is not playing ball so the only thing left is war. With the impending implosion of the U.S. economy, the Davos/WEF crowd needs to act fast to make use of the U.S. military. I see war by the end of the summer, which will also have the benefit of making it easier to better enforce the Darkest Winter lockdowns that are coming in the Autumn. This winter is going to be bad for the Western population, especially in cold climates like Canada and northern Europe.
It looks like somebody else stepped out of shaddow in and demanded results. As ordered to mercenary army which litteraly ran away from battlefield in April.
Today, not single ship crew can be assembled to follow simple order as “Sail in a straight line”.
Seems that after losing unquestionable obedience of most important politicians, Empire is losing their military too.
Nothing surprising, that is exactly what you get when you buy your allies with stolen money, spy and blackmail them.
Those people really hawe death wish! And nothing else! Idiots!
This time Russia will not falter!
P&R aimed at internal consumption. The west needs a new enemy fast. Also they are probably deeply unsure how good the new Russian weapon systems really are, which leaves them worried they might not win a non-nuclear showdown.
I must confess I feel like I am watching the movie Independence day where the president asked the alien if there could be peace, and the alien answers no piece. Then the president asked what do you want and the alien says”die”. Much like what I am seeing from the criminal cabal running the show in Washington and London. They are truly the aliens. The west will never except piece as Russia and China have said no to the Davos crowd call for a new world order. A rule based order where all must bow to the all powerful Oz. Russia and China want a win win open society. This is not going to end well I fear.
Disclosure: I am a American citizen living abroad and a military vet.
I’m a retired US military vet (25+ years) as well still living in the land of delusion and I agree with your sentiments whole-heartedly. DC was subjected to a coup on 9/11/2001. The world has never been the same since.
the coup was on 11/22/1963.
Dear John,
There are three possibilities for the Anglo-American dominated West. They may continue their their provocations against Russian and China because they refuse to recognize the superiority of the West. Russia and China have rejected that. They may organize the “democratic” states of the West to confront China and Russia over “climate Change” but it appears they(Russians /Chinese) have not only agreed to the UN goals, but clearly intend to move towards hydro, natural gas, and wind , solar and nuclear power and ultimately to fusion power. Oh well. The third option is really the only one that will work: collaborate in the development of the world, building the dams, electrical generation, roads, railway, other infrastructure. That assumes that the sterile speculative elite of the West would use their capital for industrial development rather than speculative gain. That is a very great supposition, but we must hope for some sort of outcome.
@John
I quoted that alien many, many times when discusion reach inevitable question “What those westerners want to leave us alone?”
NordStream 2 needs to be stopped somehow. I have the feeling that seeing the pipeline finished and commissioned is also about the only thing holding Putin from reacting a lot more aggressively to the trespassers. We shall see. The pipeline should be ready in a couple of months and then we shall see whether that will change the way Russians react to these repeat provocations.
By then it might be too late. In April it should have been more categorical. As we say here: “we saw the taps”.
You are right. Russia needs couple of months to finish NS2.
It is not economic issue for Russia any more. Now it is political issue.
Maybe the West will stop these provocations once NS2 is finished.
Maybe.
That is the reason, why the fascist party ‘Bündnis90/DieGrünen’ (German green party) was installed in Germany. They are constantly favoured by the media and pushed by voting surveys. They want a ‘green’ chancellor to cut all ties to Russia and transform Germany into a complete American puppet satellite state colony. Some ‘green’ politicans participated in the Euromaidan coup d’etat in Kiev and even fought along side Azov batallions. It is most disgusting. There is a small likelyhood however, that the tides turn in the coming elections and so called pro-Russian parties win. Let’s see.
Didn’t know the Nederlanders did actual military ships other than canal boats. They should stick to bicycles. For some strange reason, skinny Dutch boys are really good in the mountains. Not sure they’re cut out for maritime warfare.
In addition to testing Russian resolve, I imagine all this nonsense is part of some sort of NATO planned “expression of outrage” at the UN or similar US lapdog. Theater, in short. Shame young people have to die for his kind of crap, but I guess they signed on for it. What are ya gonna do?
The Netherlands are small and over-crowded. Not enough space for military land maneuvers, which in any case would be either futile or counter-productive. Only option left: A big navy to fight in the East and West Indies colonies (now Indonesia and Surinam). At first to stave the English off. Now “have gun, will travel”.
The puppet Dutch has a navy?
Yes, the Dutch have a navy and pretty decent subs. In 1999 there was a simulation where the US sailed a carrier group to western Europe to free us from whatever threat. A Dutch (home build) diesel submarine was part of the simulated enemy.
In short, the outcome was that the Dutch sub ”sunk” the carrier and 8 escorting ships. For the longer part;
”Dutchsubmarines.com schreef: “During this exercise the Walrus (2) penetrates the US screen and ‘sinks’ many ships, including the US aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt CVN-71. The submarine launches two attacks and manages to sneak away. To celebrate the sinking the crew designed a special T-shirt. Other ships that are sunk by the Walrus (2) during this exercise are: USS Boise SSN-764, Ro?m DDG-70, R? DDG-61, Ville De Quebec FFH/FFG-332, Stephen W. Grooves FFG-29, Holstein F-216, Vella Gulf CG-55, Mount Whitney LCC-20.”.
The link is in Dutch so you have to machine translate it yourself. https://marineschepen.nl/dossiers/Hoe-Nederlandse-onderzeeboot-Walrus-Amerikaans-vliegdekschip-tot-zinken-bracht.html
Of course the US did everything it could to downplay this event.
Even though I truely dislike what the country I am living is doing both nationally as geo politically, it is not wise to underestimate the Dutch navy.

Hugo
There was a time when the Dutch navy ruled the world ie when the dutch had a large empire. The British effectively modeled their empire on that of the Dutch.
The Dutch herring fishers are renowned for their bravery and determination. There are statues dedicated to them.
When the Russian jet rolls to port (you can see the wing tip come up almost vertical), it was to show the Dutch its weapons package, missiles and bombs. That’s the end of the friendly talk. “It’s your move” is implied and the Dutch responded sensibly.
At the end of the video did you see the size of the wake? I think they got the message and left in a big hurry.
Undoubtedly what happened. But you have to feel for the poor matelots who are clearly expendable – if fact, that may be their purpose.
Standard protocol
They’re playing games again.
We shouldn’t be surprised if news of similar actions pop up again — different ship, different places, around Crimea or in the direction of Krasnodar. Actions that will raise everbody’s hackles except the RF General Staff and the Russian chain of command.
Seen another way, RF gets to participate in Sea Breeze as well, albeit sans the invitation card. RF forces’ response can also be seen as an exercise by itself for the GS to fine-tune their plans. Individual units get to rehearse fighting real enemy forces — let’s do away with the niceties and call a spade a spade — instead of their own people acting as the enemy, something just short of getting blooded in real combat. These Nato idiots just don’t see that through their provocations they’re helping to improve RF’s readiness because they’re blinded by misplaced confidence and overwhelming desire to score media points.
Always struggle when they use the term “war games”.
I woulda thought the one thing that is not a “game” is war.
US War “games” played in the Malacca Straits when the Australian army helped “choke China” (our largest trading partner) in 2010/2011 was one of the catalysts for the Chinese One Belt One Road plan – now Belt and Road Initiative.
So, the Dutch want to participate in poking the Russian bear. Like the MH17-sham trial in The Hague weren’t enough. Ok. No idea were all the hatred comes from. There was a time, when experts from Holland helped building Saint Petersburg. Times have changed since NATO.
Perhaps Russia, Venezuela and Cuba can make a joint ‘exercise’ in the Carribean, their very own answer to the Seabreeze one. The Dutch possess the islands of Curaçao, Aruba, Bonaie and Sankt Maarten….
If NATO thinks it is playing a “game” in the Black Sea, Russia could join in even if uninvited. They could simply shadow every move the Exceptionalists make, not just those that suggest an incursion into Russian waters. Of course, the Russians could not cross into the territorial waters of the Ukie Reich or its NATO incendiaries. If big bad NATO doesn’t like it, they can confine themselves within the relevant twelve-mile limits of their fellow puppet states. Otherwise, it’s freedom of navigation, baby. Besides, Uncle Sam loves playing chicken with Russian assets, both sea and air, in the Baltic all the time. The only thing I worry about is that the US Navy seems to have a very difficult time properly steering its ships. It’s constantly running into commercial vessels and confusing Iranian waters for its own coast line. The Persian Gulf is not within the jurisdiction of the US Coast Guard. You can be certain the Exceptionalists are daft if those USCG vessels now make an appearance in the Black Sea.
If Loco Joe objects to such avid attention being given to his saber-rattling scows, Putin should simply let him know that, since the NATO countries seem collectively suicidal, Russia intends to intently study every move of its warmongering forces acting like a drunken gunslinger in the old West and act to protect its own territory, national interests and citizenry. Washington should be told that it is quite assuredly not John Wayne or Clint Eastwood in this belligerent scenario it has contrived for itself and ultimately the world.
Yep. Call it a “live exercise” with real world opponents.
It wouldn’t be surprising if Biden tried to call Nikita Khrushchev to ask him not to fire at the Evertsen, the HMS Defender or the USS Ross. He will be thoroughly suprised that Khrushchev doesn’t answer the telephone and impounds the NATO vessels anyway.
The hatred is just a pretence. The real motive is money. Washington DC is ahuge market where everything is for sale, including politicians, judges, lawyers – and laws.
The behaviour of the Netherlands government is just a result of a little of the money leaking out from Washington.
The West in general, led by America, is a ravenous beast that is on a rampage for (even more) global war and more blood.
Let’s be honest about this.
Serbia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia and others have been the preliminary targets. They have been the “appetizers,” if you will.
Now, however, we are moving to the “main course”–the entrees….
Russia, China, Iran.
This is not to say that America and the West’s appetites’ for “lesser” nations have decreased: Syria, North Korea, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Cuba, Bolivia, Myanmar, ,and even Ethiopia (which many people don’t realize) are still targets. They are the side dishes.
For all those nations on the menu, they must realize the existential Western threat that they confront and fight back without mercy … or be devoured by the beast that is slouching towards them.
Like a vampire, the American monster must feed off the blood of millions.
It’s bloodlust can never be quenched.
This reminds me of W.B.Yeats
‘The Second Coming.’
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
The rough beast in question is NATO slouching towards war.
Practice makes perfect. The Russian pilots are becoming great cameramen. hahahahhaha
“Maybe the West will stop these provocations once NS2 is finished.”
Highly unlikely. Sabotaging opponents via proxies is most effective weapon in Anglo’s arsenal.
Expect multiple and frequent unexplainable leaks on NS2 when it become operational. Then, lawsuits against Russia for environmental damages.
These shenanigans will stop only when western crypto feudal gang is striped of their hoarded treasure. Preferably by their own population. Or by decisevly losing war. Or both.
I commend the restraint and professionalism shown by the Russian servicemen however the time for action has passed as I strongly believe that a future provocation may result in one of the crazies from NATO opening fire and all nobody wants to predict Mother Russia’s response as I expect it to be serious!
Saying that, I am surprised that Lavrov hasn’t called a UN Security Council session to advised the world community that these provocations will not be tolerated and that the West’s claims at World Policemen have ended and a new Multipolar World exists were the US and its satraps no longer call the shots.
Yes it would fail due to majority recognising Ukraine’s sovereignty over Crimea but that doesn’t really matter as this way Russia gets to set the agenda by using the Kosovo example (as painful as that is to us Serbs) and when things eventually escalate, which they certainly will, then the international community has no valid excuse to label Russia the aggressor as the warning has been given on Russia’s terms.
I am not naïve to the way the world works but Russia needs to finally stand up and assert is strength after the many humiliations suffered these past decades (Ukraine coup x2, Skripal’s, MH17, Libya, Turkey plane shoot down and Ambassador death, South Stream, etc).
In all seriousness the West is no longer in a position of power as evident by the fact they “Fortified” the US Election, are economically and social crippled with public support for future conflict at an all time low (despite the media propaganda labelling Russia & China as enemies).
These incursions and drills around the Black & China Sea’s are last grasp attempts at fooling domestic public that the West is militarily strong when in fact equipment is old and the chances of a prolonged conflict are non existent as the Deep State can’t afford it and the risk of it going nuclear is way too high.
I commend the professionalism and restraint of the Russians but my gut tells me that the NATO soldier will blink first thinking Russia will turn the other cheek but when their is no place to retreat as its Russia’s backyard, the time to assert strategic control is now and the next attempt at cat & mouse needs to result in a hostile vessel being disabled, be it via EW means or torpedoed as the chances of NATO retaliating are fairly low unless the elites truly believe they will spared of the IBMs that will rain down if things get hot!
Thanks for keeping us informed and may the Saker Community stay safe during these challenging times.
Many are asking questions; what’s going on? First we have Biden resuming diplomatic contacts which promise arms control measures but then we get another provocation like this Sea Breeze business. My guess is that the adults in the Beltway rumpus room really do want to cut their losses, just like Trump did, get out of Central Asia, the Middle East and Europe to for the sake of this ‘pivot’ to the main enemy in the Pacific. Much easier said than done. This does not mean making peace in the West but rather it seems that the plan is to try to get the Europeans to take over America’s role in the various theatres America wants to get out of, at least to some degree. Hence Britain says it’s going to go on in Afghanistan and is parading it’s new carrier all over the place. I think the ideal situation for the Nato chiefs would be to manufacture a suitable incident in the Black Sea sufficient to create a political will in Europe to go it alone against the Russians. So there’s all this leading from behind with the Baltic superheros in the van. It’s all very haphazard and clumsy. The Russian response needs to be firm with a bit of satisfying showmanship, but nothing excessive that would satisfy the hankerings of the Nato masters. I favour the idea of targeting one of these unmanned turret guns. Blow the contraption right off the deck if they do anything cute. Great visuals – but no blood. This is what counts in the PR sagas. But anyway, I think what’s happening is at variance with the ‘America’s Back!’ narrative. No. Actually American policy is pretty much headed Trump’s way but they need the Europeans to man up to Russia and pay for it to. We can expect further confusion, fiascos, dissonance, and failures. But no war. When we see massive buildups in personnel and materials then we’ll know something’s afoot. For now, it’s all smoke, mirrors and fog.
I think this play is the American Deep State signalling to Russia, and other relevant parties, that they, not Loco Joe Biden, are still in control of the federal government irrespective of what Joe may think, say or do. Joe as much as admits that he is a puppet only allowed certain latitudes as to what he may say to the media. Putin and Lavrov are really dealing with whoever gives Blinken his marching orders. Whether they even know the identity of this shrouded source, I surely don’t know. Might still be Netanyahoo irrespective of his apparent status in Israeli politics. Just keep in mind, the Matrix we all led to perceive is not the genuine underlying reality.
One more not-so-unrelated movie reference.
That photo op at G7 meeeting…you know, the one with ceremonial blade dubbing as cookie-cutter… In my brain, it triggered Robert DeNiro scene from “Untouchables”.
The one with baseball bat.
These provocations are meant to show that they have the power to confront Russia in a war. They do not have this power and they know it but they need to impress their own populations as well as peoples and governments everywhere. They need to convince governments that it would be risky not to obey the dictates of the would be hegemon or to go against his instruments of subversion.
As Putin just said in a very relaxed way (Q&A online) there is no danger of WW III breaking out.
I do not quite understand why commenters on this site have such pleasure in expecting the big war to happen within a short time.
On the other hand I do understand that the editor needs to keep up the feelings of thrill and suspense because few people would be here to read optimistic content.
@Thomas
If there IS the danger of WW III breaking out, do you expect Putin to tell you on Q&A online?
sometimes ppl from the west are just extra ‘cute’ or clueless. sometimes that just amazing!
Would you calssify sanctions against a country, a corporation or even individual as an act of war?
So are we at war?!
the west in their fragile ‘peace’, should thank putin from keeping war reaching their living room (of which rus has the right and the option of the other path). think about that.
what if putin deliberately go on TV, act relax, while his boys are taking trash out, somewhere, in their ‘proclaimed lake’?
thomas, thank your god, you live another day, another good day.
bwbs
Scared to death also means to have died.
Thomas,
When war was breaking out in ex-Yu my father tried to convince himself that everything was fine. Move along, carry on…
Information says the dutch FFV made a turn towards the Kerch Straights, which if the dutch had bothered to look up in The Book of NoNo’s is considered to be bad form. Hence the dutch got reminded of who owns the Black Sea and what the Black Sea encompasses. If they cry loud enough, maybe SehSha will change their nappies to forestall diaper rash.
Auslander
I might add, sir, for whatever truth it has, Mercouris’ video-report @ duran includes bald statement that Dutch ship left the locus of intercept with “damaged electrical equipment”.
They got hurt. It’s just not visible. I would love to read the afteraction reports the Dutch ship’s experience will generate…overtime at OTAN.
Is very dangerous for delusional assumptions to combine with threats, especially threats against classical states of long history. In fact that’s the basic conflict-couple, acting on false assumptions toward a result that can’t be “shut off”. (pretty much ripped apart, sometimes)
It seems as EU countries come apart internally (they can’t even properly vaccinate their populations forget about immigrant problems), they are turning externally and acting out toward Russia. Here is a youtube video of a guy coming behind a bear in the wilds and kicking it. Some of the comments are just hilarious.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d-WWdE1_RW0
I am sure that this provocations have one solely reason.
The EU is now in a process where some like Merkel and Macron are trying to change course of EU-Policy to Russia (and China) , lift the silly sanctions over Russia , and cooperate in a reasonable manner with Moscow and Bejing. Others in the EU are strongly opposite to this intention , like Mr.Rutte from Netherlands.
Also Boris Johnson is seeing a reaprochement to Russia and China from the EU as a problem , because he is left out from it completely . So Boris and Rutte , in conjunction with the well known “Russiahaters” inside the EU want to sabotage by all means this policy persued by Merkel and Macron.
And probably they are sending their ships in full knowledge that it can spell disaster for their seamen.
hi Askari,
Mr Rutte needs an external enemy badly since inside Holland he faces tons of problems. Including being prosecuted himself for a huge scandal. The scope of the scandal is getting bigger and bigger. It being called ”toeslagen affaire”. There are also some ”minor” scandals like him providing aid to ISIS terrorists. I could go on but you get the picture.
Regards,
Hugo
All these stupid a** players think they’re taking one for the team by delivering “service”. It’s amazing how a simple frigate can trigger a cascading response and raise the temperature for all players. All for nothing. Everyone knows that it’ll turn back and probably the captain is twiching to get it over with and have a beer. What a waste of energy.
Sounds like a load of hooey:
“A cyberattack may have been involved in a naval confrontation this week between Russia and a British warship in the Black Sea that never really happened. The global positioning system (GPS)-tracking Automatic Identification System (AIS) last week showed both a U.K. warship and a Dutch naval vessel coming within a few kilometers of a Russian naval base at Sevastopol, but a live Web camera feed confirmed that both ships were docked in Odessa, Ukraine, at the time. The spoofing in this case suggests a deliberate deception, as the ships’ coordinates were changed gradually to imitate normal travel. Dana Goward at the Resilient Navigation and Timing Foundation said Russia could have executed the spoofing attack, and warned that such a hack “could easily lead to a shooting war by making things more confusing in a crisis.”
https://www.newscientist.com/article/2282149-gps-cyberattack-falsely-placed-uk-warship-near-russian-naval-base/
My country is falling apart. The 2020 election was stolen, badly just as the faux Trump is a puppet of Putin narrative faltered. That didn’t stop the brain dead cheerleaders from harassing Trump for four years.
We don’t make anything except weapons, our Southwest and Northwest are just beginning to face the effect of AGW, and that is permanent drought, and our money system is based on the promise of national prestige and military prowess. Everything could fail overnight.
All Putin needs to do is to keep the crazies (Pelosi et al) at bay until we can no longer feed ourselves.
Now the Italian Navy has arrived in the Black Sea, will it be the turn of the
Italian Navy’s guided missile frigate Virginio Fasan?
If more attempts to carry out FONOPs are tried, then you know that it is NATO / Washington that directed it, under cover of Sea Breeze 21, to get more sanctions applied, to get Russia removed from the UNSC, to stop NS2.
Keep us posted NatSouth
It is more likely to be ships of nations that are more or less completely under the US’ control.
