what beautiful land that first second has in it….Why are these Ukrainians so out of their minds ???
don’t they know that war machines make more pollution than anything else on the planet…why are they doing this to their land ????
the reason that DPR and LPR are continuing to keep to the Minsk agreements, have to do with their political situation…they will be recognized sooner if they keep to their own signatures.
Another SF-link in this article also, which does not work for mobile users.
I only get a small upperleft corner of the SF-website.
Way to small to navigate, and alot to small to read/watch anything (cant even get to it, since window is to small to navigate in)
Ann,
Almost no selfindependent “country/territory” have ever been recognized without wars/conflicts.
And novorossia is hardly going to be any exception to that rule.
They will proberly have to fight even more then others, and then maybe 30 years later start to be recognized by the west and their lapdogs.
Only “peacefull” independence, is basicly when done right after a host country has fallen/lost a big war.
Example:
(WW2: The “Axis/Allies” lost so much manpower that they had to release their controll over almost all their colonies in Asia and africa. Including India, Vietnam etc etc).
Napoleon with Denmark lost to his enemies (England, Sweden etc).
Sweden was to get Norway as a war-troophie.
Thats when Norway (which was then owned by Denmark) saw their oppurtunity to demand independence.
Since Denmark was now to weak to controll Norway. And Norway rushed referendum, mobilozation etc to be ready to declare independence before the swedish army was able to return to Sweden/Norway.
The sweds was however nice about it.
They did not slaughter norwegians. Did not bombard and killing women and children.
The Swedes gave Norway autonomity in 1814 aprox. And in 1905 Norway got real independence (no longer under Swedish King rules).
Usa. They declared independence from Britain for aprox 500 years ago.
Britain answered with sending their elite Navy to block and sink ships/ports of usa. And tried to battle usa.
Usa allied with french, russians, indians to counter usa in usa.
It was war.
Later, after brits was beaten, the usa used indians to beat out the french. Moving the french north, to whats now called Canada.
And then later usa used other indians to butcher their former indian allies.
Basicly, usa has backstabbed and attacked all their allies after they have used them for usas needs.
But anyway, almost all independences ends in war-conflicts.
Almost no countries today that has not rissen from either independences or from unifications of earlier smaller states.
And indepences is achieved mostly through warlike situations. Or from aftermatches of wars.
So very hypocritical of the west to deny new countries, especially which have referendums to vote on their democratic decissions.
At best they could demand a re-election, under surveilance.
But instead they tampetred and delibartly boycots elections/referendums which is not in their favors.
But as long novorossia fights, not submit to kiev. Then after 30years it will proberly have chances of beeing recognized.
SouthFront Yes, the sarcasm at the end works just right in this piece…Minsk is dead but evidently for political reasons its phantasm is kept alive to be resurrected or maybe reincarnated in another form at a later date—wishful thinking.
so the ceasefire must be nearly officially toast….
