“There has been an awakening, have you felt it?” TFA
I can’t believe how much my worldview has shifted over the last year. Hailing from the radical Left, I have felt the pull of History in a new direction. I have become a critic of the social engineering that has been carried out since the 60’s; it has gone too far. Because of this over-reach, I have had to shift to defending the foundations of our society; community and family. On the hand, I will always be proud to have stood against the Empire and the ruling class Capitalists. The Right was very happy to stay quiet while the Financial-Military Empire raped the world, and we always told you these chickens would come home to roost. But now that they have, it is time to call a truce.
I propose that we call a halt to the Culture Wars; this is the area where the Left is winning. I think we need to pause to assess the damage of this 50-year project anyway; the baby has almost been washed out of the bath. Then the patriotic Left (the anti-imperial/capitalist faction) and the Right can join against our common enemy. The division over social issues has been exploited by our enemy to prevent us joining on the political front. This must end, time for all People to come together against the evil which rules our world.
The momentum is with the Right, so I am coming over to join my brothers and sisters to fight our common enemy. I am worried about playing with Nationalism, it has a very bloody history, and will put a lot of pressure on our minorities. They will try and turn our nationalism outwards, towards a fake external enemy. The enemy is inside the gates. If we all stand together and maintain our focus, there is nothing they can do.
I am going to keep asking everybody to stop falling into the Left-Right trap. The patriotic-national Left and Right need to join, and anyone pushing social change during this war needs to see they are aiding the enemy. Once we are free, we can address the remaining social issues. A truce then, and all patriots rally to the banner.
Earthrise,
With all due respect sir, this is not the time for truce. Nothing has been done yet to warrant it. All that has been won is a chance to change course peacefully through the democratic process without having to resort to civil war.
There are 2 battles going on. One against the vast corruption within our government and another against the Leftist ideals which have hijacked what America was founded upon. These cannot be separated since the corrupt have used the Leftist ideology to pillage the wealth of the working class in this country.
Corruption –
We have seen the level of corruption exposed through Wikileaks of the Clintons, Clinton Foundation, George Soros, DNC, MSM. The level exposed has shown that U.S. policy is not about the best interests of the American people whatsoever and rather how to exploit an issue to profit off of everyone to the benefit of a few. Intelligence Services are being used not to address security threats but to exploit any situation to the corrupt elite advantage. With this exposure it is plain to see these people are ruthless, heartless evil scum that have no problem bringing destruction and death upon entire populations to increase their wealth and power.
This corruption can no longer be allowed to co-exist within our government if our government is going to have any credibility at all. You do not get rid of this plague by calling a truce with it and let it slip back into the shadows. It will not go away, it will plot an scheme in the background because as sure as you and I need food to survive, this corruption needs the theft and exploitation to continue for its survival. There is no American left way without Truth and Justice being enforced. Corrupt plotters must go to prison, no pardons. Any pardons are a loss for our Country. Already they are pushing pardon for Hillary for the good of the Country. Bullsh*t, stamping out corruption and bringing justice to these traitors is what is good for the Country. Even if it means destroying half of our government in the process.
Leftist Agenda –
A generation of parents raised and sent their kids to college thinking that is what is best for them and benefits our Country. They have lost their own kids in the process to an “Education System” which is nothing more than a socialist indoctrination program. I personally know a woman who has a Master’s degree working the sales floor at Best Buy. I, along with a very large group of Deplorables, have no desire to put my tax dollars into this group to pay for their overpriced degrees when they come out of college and are still wholly ill-prepared for the job market.
Nor am I ok with paying for everyone’s overpriced health care or bailing them out of their mortgages for houses bigger than mine for no good reason. U.S. government does not owe Americans a fantasy land eutopia and I am sick of this long social engineering project which is failing real people and enriching the corrupt. I am of the age when America still built things and anyone who says that is not possible any more in a “global environment” is either lying or ill-informed. It has been a global environment for centuries and we have always completed in it since our founding, now is no different. All the U.S. government should be involved in is ensuring an even playing field for all Americans under the law. Nothing more. It owes us only that and security but, the exposed corruption has shown on a daily basis that is the opposite of what corrupt.gov is doing.
I would also note just how far the Leftists have been hijacked by the propaganda of the corrupt. Democrats here (who are “supposedly” anti-war) had no problem with Hillary saying she was going to go into Syria with No-Fly Zone and Boots on the Ground. Democrats did not even question her on that. For that reason alone, Democrats do not deserve an equal seat at the table for the battle for the future of Our Country. Tough love must be shown to the spoiled generation of ignorant know-it-alls. They do not get a seat at the grown up table in matters of such importance because they are too mentally weak to do what it takes to root out the evil which we are facing.
Also, what is wrong with Nationalism? I am American and proud of my Country and owe my fellow Americans my allegiance. I do not owe any other country that. I expect them to look out for their best interests (within legal/moral means) the same as I look out for mine. The American people don’t owe anything to any other country and should not be in this tangled mess of corrupt alliances we are in. People can call that protectionist all they want, it’s not a bad word to me. I’m all in favor of protectionism and nationalism.
Last, I am wary of anyone from the Left saying they want to come over and join the Right. This leads to subversion from within as our agenda will be watered down compromising with someone who has not ideologically changed their views. If you wholeheartedly state that Hillary, The Clinton Foundation, George Soros, etc… should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and are willing to fight for that every bit as hard as we are to accomplish it then, maybe, we can talk. We don’t even have that on the Right right now because it is infested with its own corruption. If this is not done, America is lost and will go the way of the Roman Empire. No issue can be discussed in serious terms without destroying the evil corruption which threatens us all. I honestly think the “average” socialist/leftist person has been exposed in this election and support for Hillary as morally corrupt themselves and, thus, not a reliable partner in this fight.
Was not my point to offend but, I have posted a few times here regarding American mentality and I think this current post is, again, an accurate reflection of a large portion of our society that is fed up and mobilized. “Lock Her Up” I took as a campaign promise I damn well expect Trump to deliver on.
ActivePatriot,
do you think now that Wikileaks have pretty well sorted out the US they could now start on Russia to see if, as you say, Russian policy is not about the best interests of the Russian people whatsoever but rather how to exploit an issue to profit off of everyone to the benefit of a few?
Perhaps they haven’t, because it isn’t quite so.
Anonymous,
I suspect what Franz says is true in many ways. Russians can agree or disagree with Putin’s policies but, I very much get the impression his overall interests are by far in keeping what he thinks is best for Russia and the Russian People first. That is not the case in our country. Wikileaks goes wherever leaks take them – leaks that come from those within government who want to expose the deeds of the corrupt within it. Having worked in that area before, we know Russia has quite substantial issues with corruption as well but, it does not seem like their entire national security policy is corrupted by this as ours is. Maybe I am wrong as I do not live there and experience what you guys do.
according to an Assange interview they have published over 600
emails about russia exposing corruption.
i have not read them or the USA ons either, but there does not seem
to be any mention of israels corruption emails anywhere.
perhaps their security is too good.
Absolutely nothing I can add to this masterpiece of a post. Spot on and well done, very well done.
Auslander
Thanks Auslander, for the first time in years there is room for hope.
Absolutely a masterpiece of a post. Not a thing I can add.
Auslander
I am only an ignorant Swiss – feel free to ignore what I muse. :D
“All the U.S. government should be involved in is ensuring an even playing field for all Americans under the law. Nothing more. It owes us only that and security.”
If you want it that way, I am with you. However, you should reflect on security a bit further than military brutality, policing and prisons. Real security can neither be provided nor achieved in a purely competitive environment, because the left-behind will turn to theft and violence to cover their basic needs when living standards become unbearable.
As a matter of fact, the US-American way of life (in its amok-running capitalist way for most of the time) is splendid, brutal and short. Iirc the US citizens have a life expectancy that falls short of many third world countries. Main reason: stress plus little to no health care without job or fortune. I agree with you that health care costs are way too high, but it is the receiving end that is greedy, not the needy end. Ban medical patents and monopolies and you can bring down costs for drugs by 90% and medical equipment 30-60%. Some drugs sold in the US for 20 dollars sell in Cuba for 5 cents. Even if offset by a ten-fold higher US income, 50 cents for that medic would be much closer to its true cost.
“Also, what is wrong with Nationalism?”
I read that you love your country. That is patriotism. On the other hand, nationalism means hatred for other nations and is a sure way to the future killing fields.
“Lock Her Up”
and don’t stop with her.
Marcel,
With regard to security I guess I would expand on that and note that we must be a nation which honors the law and enforces it evenly. This applies both domestically and internationally. Neither of which we do. Internally, the law must be applied evenly regardless of persons and entities involved otherwise it has no credibility. Internationally, it is the responsibility of all nations to adhere to international law under the same conditions. UN resolution for No-Fly Zone in Lybia should never have passed. The consequences of that are on all nations which voted for it. Same with Syria. So many countries act like helpless bystanders but, their inaction/silence on the issue enables the continuing bloodshed there. I will accept a certain amount of that blood to be on America’s own hands but, any nation which remains silent to America’s blatant aggression and illegal operations in Syria has blood on their hands too.
You summed up American way of life pretty spot on.
Nationalism – This is the collective identity of a nation and every nation and its citizens are entitled to it. This does not mean hating other countries at all. It means I like the cultural identity here like I’m sure you like the cultural identity in Switzerland. I like that, it is a positive thing. When I visit Europe, I’m glad it is not a carbon copy of the U.S. and you have your own heritage and identity. Honestly, I was disappointed when I went to Aberdeen and they had ASDA store chains which is a crappier version of our Walmarts!
Patriotism – Actually the bigger threat IMO. It is Patriotism more than Nationalism which fans the flames of war. Patriotism is more towards loyalty and support of the government than the nation itself. I love my Country. My Government, not so much.
Interesting how being from different countries we view these words from different perspectives isn’t it? In plain sight, they can use propaganda on us because they know you have a different sense of the words than we do here. There is a nationalist movement here which is a good thing and not a threat to the rest of the world like the blind patriotism of the Bush years.
Thanks for your reply. I really appreciate and agree with it. We use the words nationalism and patriotism differently, but we share the same values and ideas. I think some words are literally burned in PR campaigns or turned into a diffuse meaning that barely resembles the origins.
Regards,
Marcel
ActivePatriot,
could you comment on which specific parts of the US cultural identity that you like?
Thanks.
Anonymous,
I have worked around the world and note note a few things I like particularly here:
1) We are very resourceful and flexible. Given a problem we are very good at working through it and find a solution. From my experience in Europe, they are far less flexible in working a solution when something does not go as planned. Japanese are some of the worst at that, they cannot think outside the box. Chinese are ok, but usually low quality solutions because cost is ALWAYS first.. Mexico/South America is very resourceful, they may be willing to spend the extra money but don’t really appreciate quality too much.
2) We are far more resilient than most people realize despite not having gone through hardship in a long time. This is something our government knows and is concerned about actually, which is why they constantly work to get as many of us dependent on the government as possible through as many means as possible. Healthcare, Welfare, Social Security/Medicare, College Tuition, Mortgage Assistance, FEMA etc… create a crisis then promise to solve it if we give them more power. Recent election is a backlash against that by enough people that know that .gov will breaks its promise. If forced to go through hardship, we will not rollover and give up whatever the circumstance may be. I think the day is not too far away where this will be put to the test and we will see if it is true or not.
3) Having been outside the U.S. quite a bit, I would say (despite MSM saying otherwise) we are quite a tolerant group of people when it comes to working and living with other cultures. While we often get criticized for being offensive, I would point out that we are a group not easily offended. We don’t have a rigid cultural/social structure. If a person older than I is wrong, I am free to say that and make decisions based on my view of the information presented. I have witnessed an elder Korean welder say no to something he knew absolutely nothing about and the younger Korean Engineer who was right accepted it even though the information was clearly wrong. As an American working there, not tied to their culture, I could be the “*ssh*le” American that said, “no, we are doing it the other way” which served a purpose they needed and were thankful for. My role on a project in Korea was literally that, to be the jerk American that could keep things on track because I only cared about what was correct and not who the information came from. We are pragmatic, again Trump reflects this and it’s part of the reason he won despite being an “*ss*h*le”
Cheers AP,
Firstly, thanks for the respect, but go easy on the Sir, I am Australian. It was a ruling class game to lump the Marxist Left and the Identity Warriors together, as well as the patriotic Right with the Conservatives. They are two different programs; one is a political program, the other social. By lumping these groups together, we were prevented from seeing the similarities in our political programs, and kept apart by the social divide.
Marxists have long fought against structural inequality, believing as the Right does that people deserve to be promoted on merit. We originally sympathised with the Identity Warriors, as they tended to be the ones alienated by the System. But there is a fundamental difference between our two programs; ours is a political fight against a power structure, theirs is a legal fight to force acceptance of their identity. There are sympathies, but no direct connection. I oppose using the Law to force others to accept your position, I am much more of a free speech advocate. We should not resort to the Law to win an argument, it should rest alone on the strength of our debate.
I am a little disappointed to hear you are not interested in an alliance, this tells me a lot. Do you want to win for everyone, or for your narrow interest? The ruling class has kept us apart on purpose, to prevent us allying against them. I don’t want to have to say this again, but you on the National Right were very happy to have the ruling class brutalise the rest of the world, only when it came home have you got off your couches. This is the main difference between the old patriotic right and left; we fought for others, you fight for yourself.
But now that you are finally awake, lets put aside the old banners and unite under the one; The People. I will not support any Identity position, if you will put aside old beefs and join together against our real enemy. If you continue to fight us instead of our enemy, you have joined them. Same goes for people pushing bathroom changes while the enemy is inside the gates.
I repeat, a truce, then join against the enemy of Humanity.
“…people pushing bathroom changes while the enemy is inside the gates….”
And what have been but “bathroom changes” what you have done supporting Trump and telling us the marvellous things coming from such a presidency all the way?
Fair call, and the worse is yet to come. As ‘b’ says from MOA, we didn’t vote for Trump, we voted for ‘not-Hillary’. And this is the exciting thing, the majority rejected the ruling class agenda. What would you sacrifice to avert WWIII? Trump is going to be a rocky ride, but at least we now have hope.
Trump’s Opponents See Normal Americans as Deplorables
Paul Craig Roberts
I guess we have all noticed that the holier-than-thou groups who whined that Trump wasn’t going to accept the outcome of the election refuse to accept it themselves.
Because I was critical of the George W. Bush regime, the liberal-progressive-leftwing and homosexual/transgendered rights groups have me on their mailing lists.
And it is unbelievable. The entirety of “the other America” refuses to accept the people’s decision. They think that their concerns are more important than the concerns of the American people, who they regard as nothing but a collection of racist homophobic rednecks.
Unless they provoke him beyond reason, Trump is not going to bother any of these people.
Trump wants to bring middle class jobs back to Americans, including for all those paid to protest him.
In order to avoide nuclear war, Trump wants to restore normal relations between the major nuclear powers.
When there are no jobs for Americans that pay enough to support an independent existence, Trump doesn’t see the point of massive legal and illegal immigration.
This is only common sense.
Yet “the threatened people” see it as fascism.
Who are “the threatened people?” As always, the most powerful.
Tell me, what lobby is more powerful than the Israel Lobby? You can’t. But the Jewish Lobby, J Street, has sent me a hysterical email at 5:11pm on 14 November. Unless “we all come together and oppose Trump’s appointment of Breitbart editor Stephan Bannon as chief strategist and senior counselor” a “wave of hate will sweep across the land,” consuming “Jews, Muslims, African-Americans, LGBT peoople (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered), immigrants, Hispanics, women and other groups.”
Really now! So is Trump’s chief strategist, whatever position that is, going to attack the Jews and those with unusual sexual impulses with drones and cluster bombs, like the zionist neoconservatives who controlled the Clinton, George W. Bush, and Obama regimes did to millions of slaughtered and displaced peoples in 7 countries, and like Israel does to Palestinians? Or is the former Breitbart editor going to round them all up and torture them in Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo like Bush and Obama did. And like Netanyahu does in Israel?
Or will Trump simply shoot them down in the streets like Netanyahu does to the Palestinian women and children.
How come J Street and the Oligarchy-funded fronts are only concerned with nonexistent threats and ignore all of the real threats?
According to J Street, the main concern is that Trump has appointed an “Alt-Right” person to advise him. Dangerous tensions between nuclear powers? A collapsing American middle class?
These concerns, if present, are in the peripheral vision of the “threatened people.”
According to the front group known as the Southern Poverty Law Center, Trump’s election by fly-over America has resulted in “over 250 reports of hate crimes around the country.” Is the Southern Poverty Law Center including the brutal beating of a white man by a gang of blacks? How many innocents has Trump slaughtered and put into concentration camps? How many countries has he invaded? The corrupt American media and oligarchic front groups have created “the new Hitler” before he is even inaugerated.
The Klingon Clintons and neoconed Bush/Cheney and Obama killing regimes have murdered more people and invaded more countries than Hitler, and the holier-than-thou group doesn’t care. Yet, the all-powerful Israeli Lobby thinks a Breibart editor is going to target the Jews, immigrants, the transgendered and homosexuals, women, Muslims, Hispanics, “and other groups.” What a change this will be. Only non-immigrant, white, heterosexual males will be in the protected group known as the “preferred minority.”
We must hope that Donald Trump understands the state of moral, cultural, legal, and political collapse that America is in. Two years ago at the Valdai International Discussion Club, Russian President Vladimir Putin said:
“Many of the Euro-Atlantic countries are actually rejecting their roots, including the Christian values that constitute the basis of Western civilization. They are denying moral principles and all traditional identities, national, cultural, religious, and even secular. They are implementing policies that equate families with same-sex partnerships, worship of God with worship of Satan. I am convinced that this opens a direct path to degradation and primitivism, resulting in a profound demographic and moral crisis.”
Ordinary Americans know what he means. They are forced to accept blasphemous films about Jesus Christ and shameless newspaper caricatures of the Virgin Mary, but if one of them calls a homosexual a pervert, he has committed a hate crime.
America is a country without an honest media. A country without an honest judiciary. Without an honest government. Without an honest legislature. Without honest schools and universities. A country whose morals are confused by propaganda. A country whose elites believe that they are entitled to all the income and wealth and that normal American people are the “deplorables,” to use Hillary’s term for ordinary Americans.
This as been a year of trying to understand the 21st century historical dialectic because it is different. The nature of the human race as well as its continuing existence as we know it is at question underneath all the political jargon especially of the left. And one end of the left is in dead-end although Zombie like it is trying to revive the corpse of Bernie and pump up Elizabeth Warren and the other is running through the streets yelling insults. Only 15%-25 of the US working force is in unions with shrinking membership.
In speaking with women, it is clear that instead of writing ” Trump is not my President” on their foreheads they need to hold up signs saying ” Roe v. Wade is not negotiable” or, in more emotionally based terms,”If you can’t trust me with a choice, how can you trust me with a child/” . This is a power issue, a social issue and a moral issue and needs to be discussed along with others. I’d like to see the herbalists come to the fore with all the home grown native American herbs that stimulate natural abortion. In ancient times in times of food shortages, the women of the tribe knew what to do to insure that the existing children and the tribe stayed strong.
Also Charter schools are not the answer to the problem of schools that do not educate. There can be bad Charter schools and ones that push agendas however subtle like the Gulanist chain.
What is the responsibility of an educated person to himself, his family, the community and the world at large? With the internet the creative possibilities are endless, but without an inner moral structure based on relationships they are fruitless or perverted.
A medical system that does not heal, that is stuck in old paradigms of power and increasingly dual systems of technology for the rich/connected and the poor based on what algorithms says is “profitable”, needs changing–alternative practices maybe set up via the internet?
..And I don’t see the religious establishments having any relevance at all these days. There is no cry for refugee status for the Christian Arabs faced with death in their country of origin. It’s a question of Simple solidarity and they can’t do it. As the Dalai Lama said several months ago shaking his head sadly, ” It seems as if no one is interesting in seeking the Truth anymore.”
Well, that is going to change and change soon.
The Times They Are A-Changin’
Bob Dylan
Come gather ’round people wherever you roam
And admit that the waters around you have grown
Accept it soon, you’ll be drenched to the bone
If your time to you is worth savin’
Then you better start swimmin’, you could sink like a stone
For the times, they are a-changin’
Come mothers and fathers throughout the land
And don’t criticize what you can’t understand
Your sons and your daughters, beyond your command
Your old road is rapidly agin’
So get out of the new one if you can’t lend your hand
For the times, they are a-changin’
For the times, they are a-changin’
The line, it is drawn, the curse, it is cast
The slow one now will later be fast
The present now will later be past
The order is rapidly fadin’
And the first one now will later be last
For the times they are a-changin’
Can Trump succeed?
by Thierry Meyssan
While the Atlantist Press persists in projecting onto Donald Trump the artificial debates that Hillary Clinton imposed during the campaign, and while the calls to assassinate the elected President multiply, Trump is preparing to change the paradigm, and overthrow the Puritan ideology that has dominated his country for two centuries. But can he succeed?
Voltaire Network | Damascus (Syria) | 15 November 2016
The international Press is working to persuade us that the electors of Donald Trump have expressed a revolt of the white working classes against the élites. But in fact, all they are doing is prolonging the message of Hillary Clinton, whom these electors specifically rejected. It refuses to consider that the current cleavage has no connection with the themes she treated during the campaign.
And yet we have all seen a new line of fracture appear, not between, but in the heart of the two major parties. A number of Republican leaders supported Clinton, and several Democrat leaders supported Trump. Bernie Sanders even met with him to offer his services. Also, the analysis of the votes in terms of community loyalties (women, Hispanics, African Americans, Muslims , gays, etc.) no longer has any meaning. Although we were inundated with the idea that a vote for Trump was a vote for the hatred of minorities, at least a third of these minorities voted for him.
A few journalists tried to base their comments on the precedent of Brexit, although they had been just as surprised by that decision, and just as incapable of explaining it. If we analyse foreign precedents, we have to at least to take into account the surprise elections of Narendra Modi in India and Rodriguo Dutertre in the Philippines (an old US colony).
Despite the propaganda, the British did not vote against the Europeans, nor the Indians against the Muslims, nor the Philippinos against the Chinese. On the contrary, each of these three peoples hope only to save their own culture and live in peace. Although he was responsible for the anti-Muslim riots in Gujarat, in 2002, Narendra Modi offered his hand to Pakistan, persuaded that the problems between the two countries have been organised and sustained by the colonial powers. In the same way, Rodriguo Dutertre created astonishment by seeking rapprochement with the Chinese «enemy».
A few weeks ago, I explained in these columns [1] that the cleavage which divides the United States is not determined either by ethnic loyalties or social class, but by the Puritan ideology. If this explanation is accurate, we should witness an existential struggle of the partisans of this ideology against the Trump administration. Everything that the new President undertakes will be systematically sabotaged. Already, the sporadic demonstrations against the result of election show that the losers have no intention of respecting the rules of democracy.
Rather than thinking about how we might profit from the Trump administration, we should be asking ourselves how we can help him to succeed in liberating his country from its own imperialism, in order to put an end to a unipolar world and the «Wolfowitz doctrine» – or how we can substitute cooperation for confrontation.
While the US Press speculates on the possible nomination of personalities from the Bush administration to the Trump administration, we should be anticipating the political role that the commercial executives of the Trump Organisation will have to play. They are the only ones he can trust.
We should also take into account General Michael T. Flynn who, although he is a Democrat, was Trump’s main advisor on foreign policy and defence during the campaign. A Commander of Military Intelligence, from the first Geneva Conference to the conquest of Iraq by Daesh, he has never stopped opposing President Obama, Secretary of State Clinton, Generals David Petraeus and John Allen, and Jeffrey Feltman, concerning the use of jihadists and terrorism in order to maintain US imperialism. Whether as National Security advisor, director of the CIA, or Secretary of Defense, he will be the best ally for peace in the Levant.
FWIW, as an outsider (Canada), I’m noting a rise of an ugly vibe here, increased division in the North American continent. It’s because of the transnational corporations. As quoted in the Washington Post, “An organizational chart of Trump’s transition team shows it to be crawling with corporate lobbyists, representing clients such as Altria, Visa, Coca-Cola, General Electric, Verizon, HSBC, Pfizer, Dow Chemical and Duke Energy.”
So maybe in the past couple decades, the Neocons/Soros covertly invaded this country due to Canada’s tendency to take an independent, sovereign approach to banking. (That decision not to participate in the banking scheme which led to the 2008 crisis may have triggered some hard feelings??) This seems like an “Israel first” invasion, in promotion of NWO/globalism.
Aside from that, this is a resource rich nation, and many are expecting to have to fight like h**l to keep the American transnationals from claiming, basically, all of it now that Trump is elected. (And it seems that the Rockefeller foundation also wants the largest cities?) I don’t know if this is based on evidence, or just past experience and speculation. But some of the authentic Canadian anti-Trump talk comes from this fear. The “America First” corporations can be just as rapacious as the “Israel First” special interests over here. And in the past, the Canadian government has frequently totally supported the efforts to “make Canada more competitive on a global scale” or something. :-) It’s not clear where the current Canadian govt stands on this, or the incoming Trump govt. So many are preparing for the worst here. I wonder if it’s the same situation in other places??
Just a quick add-on to the above comment on a deepening divide, post-Trump election, in North America… Canada’s Trudeau spoke with Mexico’s Pena Nieto and pro-actively announced that Canada would like to discuss NAFTA, in following Trump’s campaign promises. (Does anyone know what Trudeau’s govt is trying to do?? I don’t.)
Thierry Meyssan put forth, in an article from Nov. 8, that TPTB in the US may be creating, “…a new structure – on one side a unipolar world governed by the United States alone, and on the other a number of independent and refractory states cooperating together around Russia and China, and with the fewest number of bridges between these two worlds. This implies the end of world free trade, the organisation of world commerce, and economic globalisation, and constitutes a gigantic step backwards.”
If this is true, this explains a lot. Trend towards deeper divide US/Canada & proactive request by Canada to discuss NAFTA. It’s one possibility anyway??
S113,
It seems Orwell is right again. Oceania is forming; Britain is breaking away from Europe, the US is rolling back it’s global empire, Australia, New Zealand and Canada wait loyally. Hopefully South America breaks away and forms her own block, but Orwell tends to be right. With Britain gone and America going home, Eurasia will form with the twin capitals of Berlin and Moscow. EastAsia is on her way, once Japan and Korea leave the US orbit.
I have been such the vocal critic of the Empire, and have been disgusted and ashamed of our crimes. This has stopped me feeling the pride I should in our civilisation. If the US abandons the Empire and offers to lead the Anglo world, I am in! Europe is going to be a different place in the future, an Eurasian culture is going to form. With the rise of the other civilisations, I can feel we are going to have to circle the wagons a little to protect what is best about the West. I’d fight for Oceania, but please let the South Americans have their liberty.
Baaz, I think we do need those S-400’s along the 49th parallel after all.
Are the S-500’s available yet?? :-)
I really appreciated the way of your thinking, to search for a common ground and join the forces to fight the real evil, which is almost everywhere. The big problem with that, however, is that the “left” and “right” very ideas have been compromised long ago by nonstop propaganda against both. After ww2 the right views have been demonized in such a scale that they had made several compromises splitting in several fractions, fighting against each-other. The same has happened with the left views, after the dissolution of USSR and consequently the all Eastern Block. The forced disintegration of Yugoslavia has put the last nail on that coffin. The left parties in the west – even the communists – have fallen out from having a say, what remained and went stronger, have become the new left, compromised by total capitalistic views, forgetting the left real values in defending the rights of workers on global scale. Since then (the fall of USSR) has grown up a new generation which has been co-opted for such new “ideals” for the left. These “new ideals” are today represented by George Soros. This is the new left. It is a very hard job to have a common view, even it is the best way if we want to have some kind of future without a war. Time will tell.
Thanks Ioan,
The real ‘Left’ ran out of steam some time in the early 2000’s. I think the final nail was the protests to prevent the Iraq war; the largest in history, all for nothing. Before that, the dissolution of the USSR was probably the biggest hit (as you say). I am livid with the Communists, they ended up knocking Socialism back 100 years. Before the Bolshies stole communism, Socialism was massive in the West, and growing around the world within liberation movements. Even during the Cold War, most of the world’s population lived in Socialist countries. The totalitarian nature of Communism ruined it in the eyes of the People; it forced my fellow comrades to defend the indefensible, which turned into a death spiral. By the turn of this century, there was nothing left to save.
Though recently, I felt something else was going on. It felt like we no longer cared to save the West, that we had given up and had decided to let the chips fall where they may. I think a similar thing happened with the West as happened with the USSR; it had become indefensible. The ‘War on Terror’ exposed the Empire, and this is the real reason why Western troops aren’t in Libya, Syria and Iran. We began to oppose our own civilisation, and we refused to feed our children into it’s war machine. And this goes for my Rightward sisters and brothers, you saw it too. And this is why I say it is time to put the text books away and fight to save what is best about the West.

Sons of Gondor, of Rohan, my brothers,
I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me.
A day may come when the courage of men fails,
when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship,
but it is not this day.
An hour of wolves and shattered shields,
when the age of men comes crashing down,
but it is not this day!
This day we fight!!
By all that you hold dear on this good Earth,
I bid you stand, Men of the West!!!”
Women of the West too, for you have the most to lose.
What a Gordian Knot tying up the US. Illusion upon delusion. My gut is with the Alex Jones types who are using the sword to cut through the knot, despite the alarms sounding and red warning lights flashing. The cry baby lefties and Trojan horse Chomsky’s and Maddow’s turn my stomach. We need real men to bring order to this bedlam insane asylum without resorting to fascism. My own sword to cut through this crap is the double-edged sword of love, tough on one side and tender on the other.
Sometimes, something other than the Love Army is needed.
I so totally agree with you. Jones actually spoke of pulling Excalibur from the stone.
Great point Dennis,
I am really worried about using Nationalism to fight the next battle. We are all going to have to be really careful about where we take this. If the genie gets out of the bottle, it will be too easy for the ruling class to use our patriotism to focus it either outwards towards a fake enemy, or internally towards Muslims/Latinos/Immigrants/minorities. As long as we keep it focused at Wall Street, the Military-Industrial Complex, Washington (Canberra, Ottawa, London, etc.), the Kardashians and the Zionists, we should be OK.
We are going to need the Love Army big time to balance all the testosterone that is about to get injected into our body politic.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more.
The true left is not having a ‘culture war’ at all. That’s the fake left.
The true left articulates a class war.
Amen Shyaku, and at last the patriotic old ‘right’ can see it. The chickens we fought overseas have come home to roost, as we always said they would. There was nothing “left” about Hillary, we called her out straight away; blue-blood ruling class through and through. I think Identity has won enough over the last few years, I am asking my minority sisters and brothers to put down their personal issues and join everyone else against the political structure which oppresses us all.
We were given a very stark choice in that election: End of times by environmental collapse, or end times by nuclear war. This is not about more than just prioritizing the acceleration of social, economic and environmental collapse in the US. Either way, the ramifications are global.
If things get too bad here, you have a way out Saker, and Russia has a bright future ahead of it, but many of us are stuck here and do not.
Now lets see, the enemy is supposed to the NeoCon’s: who want to make one government supreme on this planet so that corporations co-operating with this one government can rule over all the other countries on this planet. To achieve this they have to undermine every other government on this planet. They are aided in their endeavour by the Zionists, who have invented a belief for themselves that they are destined to rule this planet. But, the NeoCon’s and the Zionists are small in number, who then constitutes the foot soldiers, the army, without whom this one – government objective cannot be achieved?
The answer is: the foot soldiers, the army, of the NeoCon’s and the Zionist’s is the liberals. The liberal’s hearts are gladdened when Operation Enduring Freedom was undertaken to free this planet of Saddam Hussain’s non-existent weapons of mass destruction, when Operation XYZ was undertaken to bring Peace and Democracy to country ABC, etc, etc, etc. The liberals are the one’s advocating tolerance for homosexuals holding hands in public, for refugees to legally invade sovereign states, etc, etc, etc.
Patriotism is defined above as love of country, those loving their country won’t allow others to just walk into their country, those loving their country won’t allow others to just take over their country. So to achieve one government patriotism needs to be destroyed. Who better to achieve the destruction of patriotism than Liberals. Whereas patriotism has a strong element of intolerance built into it, liberals are tolerant of everything. Liberals are very tolerant of outsiders taking over their country and raping them, they think its love and freedom and harmony.
Liberals are therefore utterly essential for achieving the objectives of the NeoCons and Zionists. So if you want to tackle the NeoCons and their Zionist buddies, you just have to engage with their effete foot soldiers, the Liberals. That can’t be too difficult now can it? The NeoCons and the Zionists cannot achieve anything without the Liberals.
The easiest way to tackle the Liberals is just to campaign for bringing back the death penalty. The Liberals will run screaming for cover at the thought of that, as will the homos. Why? Because bringing back the death penalty signals an utter intolerance for tolerance. That Norwegian chap Anders Breivik wouldn’t then act so suave after killing 70 people now would he, he wouldn’t talk about his human rights being infringed by being in prison when his only right would be to get the rope now would he?. And the ‘refugees’ wouldn’t act so entitled if the law said that non-residence committing serious crimes would automatically get the gallows now would they?
The Liberal’s wet dream on Earth is Sodom and Gomorrah, bringing back the death penalty will ruin their dream for all eternity and destroy the Unholy Trinity of the NeoCons, the Zionists and the Liberals. The NeoCons and the Zionists would have brought back the death penalty anyway once they had achieved their one government and the Liberals were no longer needed. The NeoCons and the Zionists only talk about human rights now but once they are in charge you’ll have no rights.
Firstly, thanks to Mod FK for reposting this, though the graphic you chose may have been a little premature. It may be too soon for unity, I would be very happy with a truce. As long as we are not wasting energy on fighting each other, this would be a giant leap forward.
What I see is there are two main cohorts in the Trump camp; the anti neo-liberal/neo-con perspective, and the anti-Identity perspective. What I am hoping is we don’t get distracted by repealing Roe v Wade, and leave the Military Financial Complex in place. The culture wars will only bring division, the class war will bring unity.
In the end, this is only my personal decision. I will concentrate all my energy on opposing the Military Financial Complex, and not give any energy to Identity issues. I hope many of you do the same.
I am really glad I got up at 4 am and caught up with this thread.
The best thing about it, IMHO is the balanced way earthrise responded to various comments, especially Active Patriot’s first one.
When Auslander’s comment “Absolutely nothing I can add to this masterpiece of a post. Spot on and well done, very well done. ” appears one step right of the left margin, I take that as praise of Active Patriot’s comment, but the ambiguity doesn’t bother me, as I like both the selected comment and the first comment!
While I identify more directly with AP’s sharp American feisty style in criticism of the American “left” I think it is a trap and a mistake to call anything he ( or others, such as myself, who also have the temerity to expose the imperial function of fake leftists….) says as “right wing”. This stupid dialectic has been going on ever since Empire manipulation of the French Revolution, and the adoption of the archtype left/right divide and conquer tactics of the Empire of the Mind in seizing on the accidental seating arrangements of the French Assembly during the badly tainted French “revolution” and Terror, as a way of exercising mass manipulation ever since.
Most people so divided in the last 227 years (2016-1789) have never comprehended the extent to which they have been played, clowned, by this patently obvious mind control.
So, I can relate as an American raised overseas, to both earthrise’s selected comment, AP’s first comment, and all their subsequent replies to each other, and others, as well.
Earthrise has the balance I think is the key to the evolution of the human species going forward, coming from Australia (a part of the Empire, every bit as much as the USA has become, transparently, for more than a century of minding everyone else’s business, in a quite unwelcome way, except FDR’s 3 full terms and JFK’s partial term in attempting to redeem the democratic Party and the nation from the crimes of that “little man” Truman, in betraying the underdeveloped world that FDR had intended to liberate from colonialism.).
That balance has the promise to overcome the original oligarchic “divide and conquer” scam that is many thousands of years older than the one they have refined and polished to a very high left/right divide since 1789:
The division of the human individual itself along the lines of classic prisons of either left brain imbalance “logic” and scientism with no spirit, no care versus right brain imbalance of unhinged emotion with no sense!
Example: Being raised overseas in the under developed world suffering far more from the Empire than even the USA in it’s degraded, deteriorated condition today, I get Fidel Castro and Ho Chi Minh, especially, with NO problem.
What would you do if you were a nationalist that joined FDR and MacArthur in combatting Imperial Japan, and then were thrown under the bus by a disgusting Wall Street and London puppet, Harry S Truman (the S is for “Small”…as in small minded) and told to be good little boys and girls and let your French colonial masters back in your country??? Ho Chi Minh did what George Washington would have done, if you want to chew on that fact and enjoy some really savory historical irony.
And that’s what I would have done. And probably AP as well. So time to discard the left/right divide and conquer mind control. It’s getting stupid beyond belief.
Cheers Bro 93,
You are right about that comment, sorry Auslander and AP, I responded to that on my mobile which doesn’t put in the indents. Pride before the fall :)
I am considering joining the Nationalist party here in Australia (One Nation), which as a past active member of the Greens is quite the shift. An old left warrior told me once that the left/right spectrum is not a line, but a circle. If you move far enough to the left or to the right, you come together. The reason the circle has been broken is there is a hidden point which they have erased; popular rule. Anarchy is the hidden point on the circle, the place where right and left meet opposite the fake “Centre”. The forces of globalisation don’t need my assistance, they are inexorable. The ‘Think Globally” is taken care of, the “Act Locally” part needs our help.
Once more time unto the breech, dear friends, once more.
Bro 93, Earthrise
Thank you for giving more insight on positions I would consider from the “opposition” in its call for unity.
I would like to bring attention to the below image showing 2016 election results by U.S. county to illustrate a point:
http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-phwaYLl6iGM/UJw2ZsdFahI/AAAAAAAAAj8/wg0bSIOhhnI/s1600/electoral-small.png
However we want to frame the divide whether it’s Left/Right, Socialist/Conservative or Marxist/Capitalist it is very real and will not go away. “Globalism” and urbanization of the world is shifting the balance of power to the Left and will continue to do so if it continues unchecked. Those in the Rural Right will be the big losers in this battle as they will not “benefit” from the social engineering of Leftist Ideology. Rural and small town U.S.A. requires little government involvement to survive and prosper aside from government enforcing the law equally.
Being from the “Right” it does not bother me that a capitalist comes up with a good product, builds a strong company and becomes a multi-millionaire. That is the American way. This country was founded as a capitalist, representative democracy and why so many people from across the world dream of moving here. I want it to stay that way and I am not willing to give half of that up in the name of compromise to have some hybrid SocialCapitalist freakshow which is what we are becoming. I attended public school and worked since I was 15, some college (but no degree) and many technical courses. Never had a problem being without work even in the worst of times and I see no reason why part of my money should go to an able bodied person because they don’t have the drive to do the same. I believe .gov has a responsibility to ensure people are not discriminated against and have an equal playing field to an extent.
I always attempt here to bring it down to personal terms so that you can have an insight into the mentality instead of just viewing it as a position held for no other reason besides indoctrination.
Parents on the Right have raised their children as best they could and sent them to colleges in the city only to lose their own children to Leftist indoctrination and a poor education. Now these “kids” don’t have the skills required to get a decent job and have heads full of entitlement. They already have received more than I ever did and I am of no mind to think they deserve a penny of my money for more. They look down on blue collar jobs but aren’t smart enough to realize starting a blue collar job leads you to a white collar job the same as it did for me. They want to manage others but have never worked themselves which is a ridiculous concept to me.
Regarding Globalism:
I don’t understand how one can be for “The Environment” and for Globalism at the same time. Also, I would say one should have a healthy suspicion of anything the leaders of both the Left and the Right agree on.
http://www.industrytap.com/worlds-15-biggest-ships-create-more-pollution-than-all-the-cars-in-the-world/8182
Yet we individuals are supposed to bear the burden of “carbon taxes” and drive crappy little electric cars.
Local manufacturing and agriculture wherever possible is far better for people and the planet than is globalism. Period, end of story. I believe in “Protectionism” not only for America but, for the world. Local Manufacturing equals competitive local schools, local healthcare and local social programs tailored to the communities they serve. We hold them close to us and accountable so the opportunities for fraud, waste and abuse are limited in this way. Locals do not want to destroy their own land, ruin their own water or exploit their own neighbors as multinational companies are willing to do to chase a profit. I’m not calling for an end to multinationals even, what I am saying is I expect my .gov to give me equal protection and treatment under the law as they have so they can’t come in and destroy everything I have built with no consequences to them and no compensation to me.
All the social issues used to distract and divide people are nothing more than cover for the corruption and exploitation of people by the corrupt in control. Only when corruption is fought and brought to its full destruction would I care about any social issues anymore. For that I say there can be no truce because Hillary Clinton, The Clinton Foundation, Podesta, George Soros and the like must be brought to justice. Everything must be taken from them as they have done to others and they must rot away in federal prison as Traitors to the United States. There can be no backing off (no truce) to this point. Only when the Left agrees fully to this will I view them as partners in this fight. To take the line from Black Lives Matter – No Justice, No Peace.
AP, before I took on the Earthrise handle, I use to call myself AussieCitizen; our handles would have been almost identical. I still contend that the culture wars were designed to keep the Patriots apart; divide and conquer is their standard play. I have lost all patience for Identity politics; children squabbling over who sits on the good seat in the car. That debate is for peacetime when there is nothing else to do. The Elites have been at war with us forever, about time we fought back. I can’t stop you using the old Left/Right paradigm, even though it helps our enemy; that choice is up to you.
Your point about the Rural/Urban divide is a good one. Looking at the Red/Blue map on election night this was pretty obvious. I got the sinking feeling I was looking at the next battlemap of the 2nd American Civil War. The Blue areas were primarily urban, where I understand many of the minorities live. It seems the Dems have given up appealing to ‘Americans’ and instead are trying to wedge their way back to power. Hopefully what happens is the States claw back their power from Washington, then the Counties claw back some power from the States. Spreading power down to the grassroots will avert some of the rage growing in the Heartland, and you guys are well positioned with a tradition of town hall meetings and social responsibility. Each to their own.
I am going to back up my talk with action. I have already contacted our nationalist party One Nation and I am considering joining up. Now is the time for Active Patriots and Aussie Citizens; I will gladly stand at your side with everyone else who loves their country, their people and who have the kahunas to fight for them.
Earthrise,
That is outstanding that you are making the decision to get involved, I have much respect for that. You sound like a person I would enjoy working with to address the issues facing us all and work on a platform we could agree on.
Also, I do agree with you on the Left/Right paradigm helping our enemies. I’m curious, In Australia do you have main parties so entrenched as we do here? Do 3rd parties have any sway/support there to a point where a percentage of them hold offices? It is very rare here to see a office holder which is a Libertarian, Green or Independent. Republicans and Democrats I would say hold 95% of offices so in order to get in power you have to get into those parties, tow the line to some extent and try to change it from within but that is a losing battle because you play within their rules.
I do see a possible solution to having the cards stacked up against us that I will freely share here. In your country (as in mine and most others) you have an objective view that those in control are not working for the people and instead working for the interests of the whatever elites which are funding them. Independent minded Citizens are outnumbered and outspent everywhere regardless of country not only in national level politics but local as well. That is the reality everywhere and why we haven’t been successful except for a few notable cases.
We must leverage social media and technology to our advantage to work on a global scale with an open source mindset. What I would propose:
Open Source Social Media Alternative
Develop and promote open source alternatives to Facebook and Twitter. Without this an independent open source setup for this, groups are at the mercy of facebook and the like and can be banned/shutdown at any time. With this, like minded groups can develop their agenda, platform of issues and proposed solutions. They can develop their strategies to combat the entrenched elite and share these successes and failures with other groups working to accomplish the same. Open source mindset brings the best ideas to the top and creates a superior outcome. Many would say it is a mistake to openly publish your strategy as it gives your opponent to much insight to your plans and they will work to counter these plans. I patently disagree with this because it forces your opponent to adjust their own plans to be more competitive with yours so you actually are winning quicker if you keep your eye on the prize which is changing the system to work more for the people’s interests. One must not put faith in individual people or parties and maintain focus on the core objectives.
Open Source Agenda
Develop the social/political agenda of the group through open source means. Give a detail of the issue, present the facts and provide a solution to the issue. Poll proposed solutions and let the best ideas rise to the top. In order for this to work, initial groundwork on base of group and its focus must be set up. Highlight 3-4 main objectives and unwavering stance on them. First on the list must be fighting corruption as no other issue matters if that objective is not met. Must be internal controls to fight corruption/subversion from within as without this in place, fighting corruption within .gov battle will be lost before it ever begins.
Worldwide Political Crowd Funding
Crowd Funding projects is a recent development which has already proven quite successful. I am not aware of this being used yet to fund a person’s campaign for public office. What I am suggesting is through the use of the social media developed above, candidates are chosen from a pool in an independent primary, once a candidate is elected through the group’s vote a crowd funding campaign is begun to raise the capital required to run for the particular office. There are key offices which, held by independent parties, would do much to reign in control of our government. Recognizing this we can use group national (even international) resources to campaign for key offices down to local/state level. (The same as Soros does) Targeting like this would make it very expensive for the elite to maintain their corrupt officials in certain offices which often go under the radar. Yes, they have incredible wealth. Let’s force them to spend the hell out of it to maintain control until they can spend no more and we start winning these races. Trump spent a fraction of the money Hillary spent and won. We can do the same. They would have to spend 10 or 20 times more to get their inferior candidate a win.
Boots on the ground
Once the above is set up and functioning, it is time to get boots on the ground. No war is won without this. This is where a group has the most power and is also most vulnerable to subversion. All internal controls must be setup before reaching this stage which was the primary mistake the Tea Party made. Those not familiar with the Tea Party should read up on them as this was a very successful grassroots movement which ended up getting subverted from within and folded back into the Republican party. Leadership should only be representatives of the party and at all times accountable/instantly replaceable by the group should they be subverted or otherwise lose their way. All members should be committed to carry the message (literally) and share with others. Show up at key events, make sure the group is on the just and proper side of the issues. Practice at town-halls, city council meetings, hearings etc… to get ready for the big show (national/international politics). This is much less about going to protests and much more about going to where the decisions are actually being made, when they are being made. Protests are media entertainment and publicity. Town-halls, hearings, council meetings are where decisions are made and where you affect real change.
That is my opinion on how to successfully bring about a change in any country where a democratically elected government exists. Sounds like a lot of work but, in an open source environment (using “globalism to our advantage) individuals sharing the load could get it done.
Great work AP,
It seems to be the way forward is finding ways to do things that don’t support their economy. Let it “whither on the vine” rather than waste time trying to oppose it; this only tends to give it our energy. I am a believer in the Social Contract, and regardless of which system we have, once the People have decided they don’t support it, it collapses. This is why the MSM tries so hard to lie to us and control our opinion; we are the key to all of this. In the end, the sovereign will of the people will always wins, even in a dictatorship. Otherwise they wouldn’t need propaganda.
All the Anglo world is locked into this damn two-party system. Britain has branched to three, but it doesn’t seem to have shaken the status quo any (the Westminster system sees to that). Here the Liberals (roughly the Republicans/Conservatives) are in a formal coalition with the Nationals (which is a country conservative party), and they get roughly 40% of the vote. Labor (American spelling, I know) used to be a Union-based party, but they tacked to the centre long ago and are now similar to the Democrats, but not as neo-liberal. The Greens are the largest of the Minor Parties, between 8-12% of the vote. This progressive vote has stayed quite stable over about thirty years, though it used to be expressed through an old party called the Australian Democrats. There are a broad range of minor parties which never get enough votes to get into the Lower House (The House of Reps), but due to different rules can get into the Senate.
We have compulsory voting, which I am coming to oppose. We get a small fine if we are enrolled to vote and we don’t on the day. The problem is the “silent majority” who take very little interest in politics when forced only vote for their “team”, typically the same as their parents. This further entrenches the Two-Party system. At least in your system there is the potential for voter turnout to be so low that it not only invalidates the election, but the whole system. Here I vote informally (in the Lower House I write ‘none of these jokers represent me’ on my ballot paper, invalidating it). Some people get their preference numbering wrong and accidently vote informally. My hope is that enough people will vote start to vote informally to invalidate the system. I do hedge my bets and vote for a minor party in the Senate (which represents the States in our system), just in case.
I have been critical of the US system of late, in the shadow of the Empire. But this time around I saw the true beauty of it. The capacity to vote in a popularist to ‘clean house’ is a wonderful feature, one I thought would not be allowed by the Masters of the Universe. Our system might scare you a little, but our ‘administration’ (Cabinet) can only be made up of people elected to the Lower House. No experts, no specialists, just the usual jokers now running the whole country. Our Executive must come from the Legislature, so this limits the separation of powers. It is a smooth and relatively harmonious systems, very stable and effective. But incapable of representing the will of the people outside of elections. And while my hatred of the Empire did cloud my judgement, I don’t think any other system in the world could have handled the extreme injection of global power the US has wielded for the last 60 years without slipping into a dictatorship. Your system works, and if Trump can really clean house then I will push for the same system here.
Here is to the 1st Australian Republic!!!
