2. On July 14, Afghani government forces launched counter-attack in the Faryab province, reporting the recapture of a number of settlements and the elimination of over 130 Taliban militants. However, the Taliban reported only two causalities and two injuries, while insisting the causalities of the government forces are numerous. Afghani government forces also cleared the districts of Samankay and Janiheyl of the Paktiya province. According to the information of Afghan officials only 4 government troops were injured and only 3 were killed.
3. On July 15, 5 locals were captured on the Kabul- Jalalabad road by an unknown group of militants in the Kargai district of Lagman province. Militants killed 5 locals and injured 3 during a firefight with police in the Now Bahar district of Zabul province. As result of that firefight 2 militants were killed, and 1 policeman was injured.

NATO-led airstrikes killed at least 28 Taliban militants in the Dih Bala district of Nangarhar province. Islamic State and Taliban militants operate actively in the province.
5. The recent attacks in Afghanistan have killed and injured more than 100 civilians, including women and children. The attacks in Khost and Baghlan Provinces and Kabul city occurred near spaces of public assembly, including a bazaar as well as mosque where civilians had gathered to pray.
I think that this is way better than what you get from the (always for pay) commercial media, no?
So I am sorry to bring up the money issue again, but the reality is that money is “newsammo” and that the folks at SouthFront need it too. So please pitch in and help them in their struggle!
Hugs and cheers,
The Saker

America’s “war on Terrorism” is as phony as its “War on Drugs”. United Nations Office on Drug and Crime (UNODC), in its Report 2007, has admitted that the growth of opium cultivation in Afghanistan under US Alliance since 2002, has risen to 93% from just 6% under Taliban rule.
According to Australia’s National Drug Research Institute, about 100,000 people die per year from opium related drugs – which means, thanks to ZOG in Washington, one million people have died since the regime-change in Afghanistan took place in December 2001.
Recently, the inspector general of US State Department Counternarcotics Program in Afghanistan told the dummies that “the US government has been involved in the counternarcotics in Afghanistan for over 20 years (that would include Taliban rule too, eh!) through various agreements to suppress the production, distribution and the use of illicit drugs and has spent approximatelt two billion dollars on counternarcotics programs during the last five years.” Now, the common-sense question would be – why the US and its willing idiots failed to stop the growth of heroin – when Taliban did it in one month without spending a thousand dollars?
There is more to Afghanistan’s occupation than meet the eyes. Under Reza Shah dynasty, Iran played the transit role for opium produced in Afghanistan, India and some part of Iran and Turkey. The drug smugglers were under the protection of Shah’s Mossad-CIA trained special force, SWAK. In early 1980s, Imam Khomeini banned the cultivation of poppy and drug in Iran. Later-on USSR occupied Afghanistan and the conbined result was that drug barrons, working for the Jewish-controlled world drug empire – had to shift their capital and infrastructure to Israel and Afghanistan’s Helmand Province – which is currently controlled by British troops – has made them the best protection drug-money can buy – with an impressive 57% of the total annual opium production countrywide. But it was not the only reason why Washington needed to replace religious leadership of Mullah Omar with a pro-US secularist ruler in Kabul. The openly touted Caspian Sea oil exploitation was also to benefit Israel to a great extent. Alexander Machkevitch, born and raised in Kyrgyzstan. He is a very close friend of country’s dictator Nursultan Nazarbyev and member of many Jewish lobby groups working for Israel’s interests in Central Asia and Africa. He owns the lion-share of oil industry in the country. Machkevitch is reported to be worth US$5 billion – making him the richest Israeli-citizen outside Israel – ignoring the fact that Bernard Madoff stashed most of his US$50 billion loot in Israeli banks.

One thing which has always made me wonder is why these radical so-called religious movements like the Taliban or the Islamic State, accused of being clandestinely funded by various secretive forces in the West,—noting the accusations about Islamic State, also accusations that the Taliban have been supported by elements of Pakistani intelligence services, and of course presumably with some covert USA backing,—allegedly,—why are all these movements so obsessed about obliterating natural adult male-female attraction as much as possible? Even to the point where accusations are made that in Afghanistan it is more acceptable for man-boy pedophilia to exist rather than man-woman attraction?—These radical Muslims all claim that they are acting by the rules of “sharia law”, yet for centuries as I understand, Muslim societies have not exhibited anything like the modern extremes of anti-sexual feelings. Why this obsession with imposing a morality, regulation and “code of honor” regarding male-female relations clearly based on fundamental feelings of rage, disgust and shame at sexual contact and attraction in almost all circumstances.—I have read that even in a “proper Muslim marriage” the husband and the wife are supposed to suppress any true affection for each other but rather always maintain a kind of “dignified distance” perhaps even a “hostile distance”.—I find all the more perplexing that the Western elites, usually associated with “Western values” of hedonism and unrestrained sexual expression, would nonetheless support and allow movements which are obsessed with anti-sexuality and for whom suppression of all normal and affectionate sexual conduct is like one of the most important ways that they seek to reorganize society.
