Dear friends,
The Western propaganda machine is working in overdrive and it is hard to come by any information about what is really happening in Iran, in particular outside Tehran.
Some of you have provided me with most interesting information, sometimes by direct email, sometimes in the comments section.
The next couple of days will be crucial and I urge all of you, in particular those inside Iran or those who speak Farsi, to pass on to me every and any piece of information connected to the developing events in Iran.
Please do not bother with trying to tie your information with any article I publish here. Don’t worry about being off-topic. Post whatever you have in the comments section of whatever article is at the top of the page. Even if it is a rumor, please post it (and identify it as a rumor). If it is an analysis, please post it. If it is something completely local to a small town in an Iranian province which has anything at all to do with the situation, please post it.
If you have friends in Iran, please email or call them and ask them what they are seeing and hearing and what they think about the situation. If you know Iranians abroad who have contacts in Iran, ask them to do that.
This struggle began as an (dis)informational war and it will be fought with lies down to the very last moments.
Please help me break the wall of silence and lies and keep the information flowing!
Many thanks and kind regards,
The Saker
I don’t know whether you know Ulrich Tilgner,it’s a german reporter where is now in tehran.by us he is famous from reportages during iraq and afghansistan war.he travelled on all sites, government troops, mujaheddin, sunna insurgents.
he has a good theory for what happen now:1.nobody want change the islamic system, til now.in the rurual regions everything quite.trustworthy people don’t speak anymore with him what happens now.Ahmdinejad creates an ever-increasing power and push Khamenei back.Khamenei its in an situation he can only say yes to him,but i don’t know why,he didn’t explain.
Saker, if you check out the Realnews, Pepe Escobar on his second video on this issue concludes -with sadness- that Iran is serving a war to Israel on a silver plater. Maybe, because this internal strife may be interpreted as weakness by the zionists and they can attempt at a remake of the Osirak op. (they’ve been training recently around Gibraltar for that purpose)
However, the USA is needing Iran desperately to resupply the troops in Afghanistan and Pakistan, since the current routes are more impracticable and dangerous by the day. So, a zio-attack would only worsen the american situation (something the zios couldn’t care less). But it remains to be seen if Obama and Iran start with the talks, and if so, how these evolve.
Also Syed Saleem Shahzad has an article on Asia Times titled Iran’s enemies are circling. It is known that Israel has a hand on Jundallah to stage “operations” within Iran. Add this the infiltration the zios have all over the Iraqui Kurdistan, and the possibility to infiltrate Iran.
I agree the next days will be of paramount importance.
No apt for cardiacs… :)
Hi there Saker
Don’t you find kind of ironic that the Gucci crowd in N. Teheran thrives for become an American satellite right now, when the Us economy keeps on sinking (green shots allucinations nowstanding) and every informed player is looking for ways to dump their dollars pronto?
@anonymous: Don’t you find kind of ironic that the Gucci crowd in N. Teheran thrives for become an American satellite right now, when the Us economy keeps on sinking
Not really, actually, since the Gucci crowd in the USA is doing great while the recession, as always, hit only the (rapidly) shrinking middle-class and the (rapidly) growing poor class.
Gucci-capitalists THRIVE on crises as for them it is in essence a way to transfer money into their hands. They act exactly like a virus in an immune supressed host.
Yes, the USA is crumbling and the entire USraelian empire is slowly collapsing. But the operative word here is *slowly*. This slow process of decay is a bonanza for the plutocrats.
Besides, folks like Ahmadinejad and Khamenei simply stand in the way of the Gucci crowd in Iran, so they want them removed. The latter goal is only shared by the USA and Israel. Its not like, say, Russia or China wants regime change in Iran since both of these country fully understand the blessing it is to have a stable country like Iran in the middle of a war and crisis torn Middle-East.
Lastly, should the Gucci crowd in Iran succeed, they will not hestiate to stash away their cash in Euros :-)
How many are out there not for a candidate but against the system? We don’t know, so while it may be easy to pass judgement on the young ones as dupes… not so fast. But, it’s a subtlety that will likely be lost in what seems like a new improved Orange Revolution with the goal of ‘creative chaos’.
One of the main problems with disinformation from Iran is the strong censorship the regime has imposed, which appears as the major counterpart of Western bias.
So we have two biased sources: the
Western media, which fancy and manipulate the facts, and the regime sources, which are a thoroughly unreliable machine of primary propaganda.
So we’ll have to read here and there and make up our opinion…
A blog Wich is following on the dot hour by hour events down there is Hunfington. Although I don’t follow it because it is too much reading, but I think it sympathizes with the opposition.
A journalist who is serious and happens to be on the spot and has defied the regime’s prohibition on journalists is Robert Fisk. His testimonies are alive and consistent.
Robert Fisk is not without biases…
If you look at his coverage of Lebanon in which he favors the March 14th coalition, and shows a disdain for Hezbollah, you will see what I mean…
Since he was such a big supporter of the martyr Hariri, I have begun to wonder if he might be on the Saudi payroll…
