I am afraid that you are right. As one reader has stated, your average America cares little about foreign relations, leaving that to the State Department. The only time Americans care about foreign developments, like war, is if their sons or daughters are participating in them. Yes, you had anti-war protests during the Vietnam war. However, they occured in a number of large cities, but not in small town America, which remained silent. What about anti-war protests against the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria ? There were none. When Trump moved his fleet against North Korea, did anyone protest ? The answer is ‘no’, even though this act could have led to war. Some days ago the US Congress prepared a Bill that would prevent Trump moving the US out of NATO. Any demonstrations in the US against that ? The answer is ‘no’. The elite, through the media, has a hold over the bulk of the US population.

There are only small groups, and small pockets of resistance here and there. Previous attempts to break this mold, which were led by John F Kennedy, and Martin Luther King, ended in assassination. Very few question the events of 9/11 and very few people take a look at what is happening outside of what the mainstream media is telling them. People’s needs are generally taken care of, and that’s all that matters to them.
The only real hope now lies in the younger generations. Those who grew up with the internet. They are a little less brainwashed. They read alternative media. They have access to more information, and therefore, the truth. They are questioning things. They are angry about what is happening and what their country is doing. Furthermore, there is a growing sense amongst the general population that the “powers that be” and the mainstream media do not serve their interests. (Which is why Trump was elected). So I would not say that all hope is lost and the US is doomed to start WW3.
Whatever you do, don’t give up. There is a growing awareness in the USA about what their country has become. People are tired, and pissed off with the status quo. It would take only a single charismatic leader, who can unite the people, an American Putin if you will, to completely change everything. The rise of such a leader, who could unite the tens of millions of those in the younger generations, who truly want change, and lead them against the forces of oppression and death, could change everything before you even know it. The empire will not be able to continue destroying nations when it faces a civil war in it’s main center of power (the US). This time is now fast approaching. I believe it must, and that it will happen. The alternative is that the Elite, who are desperate to hang onto power and avoid paying for their crimes against humanity, will start WW3 and we will all be forced to experience the horrors of a nuclear war. Obviously, you know very little about the 60s (and the 70s, and the 80s, and the 90s). There was no internet. There were the very young and the not so very young – activists, college students, Vietnam War Veterans, and, by the way, just plain ol’ phone booths — not smart phones. …just to name a few things. The movements created by these “types” are written in a very sad, exciting, and revolutionary history of the times.

The answer is probably the same if you turn the question around. The US would be capable of little without the cooperation of NATO and other militarily aligned countries. Why do not the Germans/British/Australians etc. not stand up and demand that their countries withdraw from NATO and eject US troops from their territories? Please don’t say that they are helpless because they are “vassals”. Americans are not allowed to use a similar excuse.

That example is really heartbreaking, because there where huge rallies not only in the USA but in lots of countries. It is an example of the contempt for humanity those degenerates have. Millions went on the street, exercising democracy, and the US goverment played dumb and passed those cryes by their arc of triumph (ass).

I think your suggestion of making a deal with Trump is more inline with a peaceful resolution, if one exists. a military solution to a Political problem is a poor choice and if Maduro insists on his rigid stance, he’ll be “gone with the wind”, like the Oak tree in it.. Sounds like the military may have the right idea talking with Guido (since Maduro seemingly cannot) in hopes they can advise Maduro on a win/win trajectory.
I have read in several places on the net that Maduro has made diplomatic overtures already to Guaido but to no avail, so far.
This coupled with the unnecessary and unfulfillable demands for another election within days sounds to me as if the Guaido faction has not even considered a diplomatic or political solution but gone straight to a preference for a violent solution.
