@Mindfriedo: Iran announces its intention to supply arms to militants fighting Israel in the West Bank as a response to Israel flying drones over Iran.
Militants fighting Israel. What regular Bullshit, what regular Hasbara!
Why don’t you choose your words carefully!
How about Freedom Fighters rather than Militants and cut this Hasbara out.
Last time you mistook Arak and Iraq and as usual went with your Hasbara!
Iran announces its intention to supply arms to militants fighting Israel in the West Bank as a response to Israel flying drones over Iran.
===============================
Is there someone fighting Israel in the West Bank?
To understand how Hasbara operates, go to CommonDreams and read their article about a disgusting Jewish troll who used sock-puppets (pretending to be pro and anti-Jewish) to disrupt and distract all forum discussions about Jewish and zionist extremism and terrorism.
http://www.commondreams.org/hambaconeggs
Here’s how the most common TRICK works:
“The German Nazis are depraved monsters for rounding up people and putting them in Death Camps. All Germans should be forcibly STERILISED.”
You write a true statement about the crimes of a group. Then you IMMEDIATELY associate it with an outrageous suggestion about what should be done to them. Why?
Because an ordinary reader will be disgusted by the proposal, and psychologically reject EVERYTHING that was written, including the initial TRUE fact. Thus sympathy is generated, in this case, for German Nazis- and Goebbels used this tactic frequently.
The claim that Iran is providing military assistance to the Humans of Palestine is a very common Jewish Hasbara trick, and is repeated by Jews all over the planet in positions of influence, as the CommonDreams story proves.
While many here would say “good for Iran”, the play is designed to conflate Hamas with Iran, and in the USA, 90%+ of the sheeple believe the Jews have the right to murder anyone associated with Hamas on sight.
REMEMBER, the Humans of Gaza did nothing (in terms of violence) to trigger the ongoing Jewish-Israeli genocide of Gaza. Jewish groups across the planet had warned the Palestinians, across the last 18 months, that they would HOLOCAUST the Palestinian people if they dared to form a unity government, and apply to the UN to join pre-nationhood UN bodies.
So, the vile, depraved racist monsters of Israel, with full support of every leader of the West, began a low level bombing campaign in Gaza murdering many members of Hamas, and when Hamas responded by firing some metal tubes into the desert, every Jewish media outlet declared that Hamas had declared war against Israel.
Israel, of course, then began its Holocaust of Gaza. If you control all of the media outlets, the ‘truth’ is whatever you say it is.
Anyway, the means to finish Iran is now a different game. Despite the propaganda in these Iraq SITREPS, ISIS is wholly a creation of the British, Israeli and US governments, and fights to create a GREATER SAUDI ARABIA. Once GSA is fully established (and it will exist side-by-side with a Kurdish Homeland, and a much reduced secular Syria), GSA will turn its attention to the ‘heretics’ of Iran, and an Israeli/US/GSA war with Iran will follow shortly.
“24th Aug: Losing the north: The Syrian Government lost its final foothold in the north east of Syria, Taqba Air Base, to Daash. TABQA AB TRAP FOR ISIS! SYRIAN ARMY DEVASTATES NUSRA RATS AT MUHARDA IN HAMA
http://www.syrianperspective.com/2014/08/tabqa-ab-trap-for-isis-syrian-army-devastates-nusra-rats-at-muharda-in-hama.html#iqER4sHT3VI4JgyZ.99
“Tabqa Airbase: There can be no question any longer that the leaders of ISIS are complete buffoons, so incompetent they seem capable of lunging after any bait the SAA lays down. Last night, August 23, 2014, SAA commanders pulled another trick out of their bag after all valuable aircraft had been flown out of the base. America’s ISIS rodents saw an opportunity for a morale-boosting propaganda victory by occupying what was an airport pocked with cement hangars and the accoutrements of an operational base. So what did they do?
They charged in with their usual Blutrunstigkeit, screaming “Allahu Akbar” to the hellish devil they serve and then were surprised to find that the hangars were filled with battle-hardened and superbly equipped SAA infantry and special forces who turned them into so much julienned cabbage. SAA forces inside the base had a plan, unlike the American-Zionist trained rodents whose only purpose was to mug for cameras and declare territory annexed to the Caliphate of Cuckoo. They were annihilated. As I write, Monzer and Wael, both, are telling me that this is going to be another bloodletting ISIS cannot survive. In the meantime, our jets and helicopters are safely at another base. The news you received here is being misreported by Al-Mayaadeen which only published news it received from the most unreliable of them all – SOHR. It is hard to believe that a news source which ostensibly knows what SOHR is continues to transmit its biases without warning readers that it is part of the British effort to turn Syria into a failed state.”

Settle down with the hasbara accusations.

Is there someone fighting Israel in the West Bank?
There have been recent reports of anti-Fatah youth seeking weapons in the West Bank. Iran is threatening to arm them.
To Mindfriedo:
I want encourage you to include a reading of http://www.syrianperspective.com in your list of readings before posting information. His information is critical for you to get a more balanced perspective on things in Syria.
I have found his information to be completely true to this point. Please read what he writes about the attack on Taqba Air Base:
“Last night, August 23, 2014, SAA commanders pulled another trick out of their bag after all valuable aircraft had been flown out of the base. The only report that Taqba Air Base fell to ISIS comes from SOHR – that CIA backed one-man news agency that has proved utterly unreliable for the entire period of the last three years. SOHR would not even admit that the UN found the rebels responsible for the gas attacks. SOHR is not to be trusted in any way about the things they report – even though most of the MSM uses them as their only source.
thank you again for all your work and your commitment to truth in your reporting
@Taqba Air Base being captured or not
http://www.almanar.com.lb/spanish/adetails.php?eid=70453&cid=23&fromval=1
@les
As much as I hate Daash, The capture of the Taqba Air Base has been a significant victory for them. And I do feel it has been a significant loss for Assad. But for the Syrian army to hold out a small pocket surrounded by these crazies was untenable. It was smarter to move out, but a loss of face too.
The morale of the troops there being attacked 24/7 would have sapped and if the base were to fall instead of being evacuated, a lot more would have been beheaded and tortured before being beheaded. If you care for those dying for you, it’s wise to pull them out.
@Syrian Observatory for Human Rights
Somebody had already pointed out this fact earlier that it is unreliable, a western tool. That is why I put the caveat that the figures of war dead was from the SOHR and people can question it.
@Mohamed
I wanted to list the news report by press TV:
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2014/08/22/376166/west-spins-iraq-yarn-of-zarif-arak-talk/
But I thought somebody had already kindly corrected me regarding Iraq being Arak in the commented in the last SITREP, so avoided it. Also there was too much to write over the last 4 days and it slipped my mind.
I had wanted to write about Amerli and it’s siege and Ayatollah Sistani’s concern for its Turkoman residents but forgot that too. I’m sure the Iraqis will make a push for the town now that Sustani has pointed them in that direction.
Regarding the term militant being Hasbara. I meant it in the sense of an armed individual not being part of some organised Army or military force. But someone who is willing to fight back. But I do not want to refer to the Palestinian militants as freedom fighters either, which they are.
I don’t see Mahmoud Abbas accepting arms from Iran anytime soon. He’ll be afraid that the West Bank will get bombed over by Israel.
Finally regarding your use of the word “Hasbara.” You appear to use it very liberally for any opinion you do not agree with, much like the Jews use anti semitism. I had posted a report where Sistani was asking for Maliki to go, and you referred it to as Hasbara. Finally, when Maliki was forced to go when most of his party, in keeping with Sistani’s wishes, stopped supporting him, you conveniently forgot your earlier Hasbar accusation and started referring to Abadi and Maliki being the same. That statement alone, that they are the same, plays into the hands of Iraqi Sunnis who are saying just that: that Abadi is no different than Maliki. I believe Sistani was the primary reason Iran changed its mind too, that and pragmatism.
In Conclusion, if you find anything to be inaccurate, continue to point it out. And I’ll try to search for it and issue a retraction in the next SITREP.

A Woman’s Job: Kurdish Female Fighters On The Front Lines In Iraq
By Anushay Hussain
…Did you know America’s greatest ally on the ground against ISIS are Kurdish military women?
Yes, that is right, and just today…the all-female 550-member 2nd Peshmerga Battalion of the socialist Kurdish Workers Party (PKK) recaptured the strategically located Mosul dam, handing the biggest blow yet to the reactionary Sunni group, Islamic State (ISIS).
…ISIS is known for their atrocities towards women and minorities, and hundreds of women have been abducted “to bring to Islam.”
As with most extremist groups, ISIS is targeting controlling the visibility of women …as a tangible demonstration of their power. The joke then seems to be on them in that they are facing the very sex they deem as inferior on the battleground.
Even better? ISIS militants apparently believe that if their lives are taken by a female fighter, their entry into heaven is denied. (Italics added)
Iraq: Some women Peshmerga Of The 2nd Battalion. Image Credit: Flickr.
The PKK group, who have long been labelled as terrorist by the US for their decades-long struggle for independence from Turkey, were finally armed last week by Washington to fight Islamist militants from advancing in northern Iraq.
Both PKK and the U.S. also, of course, have a vested interest in the fact that the Kurdistan region is home to two large oil fields, generating almost 10% of Iraq’s production.
The Kurds want to keep their autonomy out of Baghdad’s political power web, and they have a lot to lose, especially the women.
Kurdistan is one of the few Muslim countries (sic) where women are allowed to serve in the military and in combat roles. A battalion of female guerrilla fighters battle alongside the male Kurdish Peshmerga, a fighting force whose name means “those who confront death.” And more are being trained to increase the numbers of women combatants.
One soldier who has been fighting with the battalion since its creation in 1996, describes the loyalty she has to defend her people and their land:
“It’s an honor to be part of a modern Muslim country that allows women to defend the homeland…We enjoy the same treatment as male fighters do, as required by law.”
The US may have wanted to remain in denial that their supposed beacon of democracy in the Middle East, i.e., Iraq, ended up becoming an Islamic state run by reactionaries who deny women their most basic human rights.
But nothing could provide better poetic justice than ISIS’ looming reality of facing the might of a female army on the ground as they battle it out for the soul of Iraq.
From pioneering in the field of mathematics to fighting off Islamic militants in Iraq, women in the Middle East are reminding the world that the best people to liberate them–are women themselves

Dear P. Cockschott,
If you believe that made up report about an all female military group singlehandedly driving ISIS out of Mosul Dam then i have a bridge in the middle of the gobi desert to sell to you (it’s been built entirely by women and therefore much sturdier and sanctified!).
However you must pay for the bridge in British Pounds because i only accept cash sanctified with the image of a woman (even that woman happens to be the queen of england).
Please stop re-gurgitating the nonsense being spewed out of the Lie-Ops/Psy-ops propaganda division of an intelligence agency or State-Dept equivalent. The quality of the propaganda is becoming so amateurish that it’s starting to get embarrasing.
The MSM has pretty much acknowledge that the video was totally staged. No beheading takes place in it.
They are now saying he may have been killed a year ago.
I am having serious doubts about the whole business around Foley. He is very likely a CIA operative of some kind. He seems to have a knack for being hostage in countries the US is itching to attack. He was a hostage in Libya before the bombings. He was supposed to be a hostage of the Syrian government when the US wanted to attack it. Now he has become a victim of ISIS when the US wants to attack ISIS Syria (or Syria in ISIS). What are the chances of these being coincidences? Plus his family seems pretty upbeat whenever they are interviewed. In a recent interview with the parents, the father had to correct the wife into the past tense when speaking about her son. In another interview when he was a hostage, his sister seemed pretty giggly all the time.
Take a look at the info here, for example.

Dearest Mindfriedo,
I am glad that you posted the above.
@Mindfriedo: But I thought somebody had already kindly corrected me regarding Iraq being Arak in the commented in the last SITREP, so avoided it.
You still have not understood it. Let me explain. When you posted the above, to me while reading it I realized it is propaganda. Also, it didn’t make common sense.
So, when I posted my remark, at that time the correction was not posted yet. What amazed me:
1. That what you obviously posted was for sure propaganda, but you hadn’t realized it.
2. You didn’t check the fact that it doesn’t make common sense.
3. Then you made it “Quote of the Day”.
4. And, then gave your Judgement by, “Thought of the Day: Dirty, Dirty Politics”
5. Even after all that you didn’t correct the SITREP. I am not sure, maybe there is too much involved as Dearest Saker being so overwhelmed these days.
@Mindfriedo: Regarding the term militant being Hasbara. I meant it in the sense of an armed individual not being part of some organised Army or military force. But someone who is willing to fight back. But I do not want to refer to the Palestinian militants as freedom fighters either, which they are.
Again, you fail to understand. Palestinians land has been stolen. When your house is stolen, there is no organized Army or Military Force. This is pure Hasbara!
The other day, the Houtis protesting their government, you again called them Militant. Pure Hasbara!
@Mindfriedo: I don’t see Mahmoud Abbas accepting arms from Iran anytime soon. He’ll be afraid that the West Bank will get bombed over by Israel.
Again, you fail to understand. Netanyahu is a caged animal due to Gaza, and the Iranians are rattling the monkey’s cage.
@Mindfriedo: Finally regarding your use of the word “Hasbara.” You appear to use it very liberally for any opinion you do not agree with, much like the Jews use anti semitism. I had posted a report where Sistani was asking for Maliki to go, and you referred it to as Hasbara.
At that time, it was pure Hasbara! You hadn’t provided any source or link. Period.
@Mindfriedo: Finally, when Maliki was forced to go when most of his party, in keeping with Sistani’s wishes, stopped supporting him, you conveniently forgot your earlier Hasbar accusation and started referring to Abadi and Maliki being the same. That statement alone, that they are the same, plays into the hands of Iraqi Sunnis who are saying just that: that Abadi is no different than Maliki. I believe Sistani was the primary reason Iran changed its mind too, that and pragmatism.
I can tell you are from not Middle East (ME) nor my Gulf Cooperation Consul (GCC). You might be working in ME and thus living in ME. However, the pulse of ME is GCC.
Check this out: Kuwait, Oman working to narrow GCC divide
The beheading of Foley is Fake. ISIS is Fake. All that rubbish of ISIL, ISIS and IS is Fake. Most of it is illusion.
The Muslims are now being reunited by the Empire. Assad is being revived by the Empire and is being shown as friend of Empire. The world is being shown, the Muslims are good it is the “liver eaters” who are fanatics.
The problem in Iraq is daily suicide bombing which kills about 1000 civilians monthly. The change of face between Maliki and Abadi has only has to do with this and nothing else. The bombings stopped for few days, but started again.
Continue to Part 2:
Part 2:
Let me give you an example:
A video by Saudi, with two Shaikhs (Religious Scholars) discussing with each other. I am pretty sure that you know what Durood Shareef is. The video started with Durood Shareef being recited in the background.
One scholar tells to another. I was very sick and my heart got full of blood, there were many doctors in the room. He said, he got scared and he recited the Two Testimonies.
Nothing happened. There was a Lebanese female nurse, she asked me to recite the Durood Shareef. As soon as I recited the Durood Shareef …..
Do you realize what is happening here. Sectarianism is gone, Ibn Taymiyyah is history.
Conclusion: Sometimes, we all become sectarians. So, to show that you are not, you post rubbish about Shia and Muslims. How about posting sometimes nice about Sunnis.
Best regards,
Mohamed.
@Mohamed
I can’t post the SITREP today because I’m travelling. But will post one in a couple of days. Replying to you sometimes seems like a complete waste of time. But I’ll indulge you again.
First about Zarif’s statement. The Iranians aren’t exactly angels, so it’s not against common sense for them to make deals, even those that may screw Iraq. It was not true here, but it was very much possible. So yes I made a mistake, got corrected, then got corrected by you, then again by you, and I guess you will have another go.
There is this statement attributed to Sistani, but I’m not looking it up now, where he said that Iran takes steps and it’s Iraq that pays the price. Politics in Iran, like anywhere else is very very dirty. My thought for that day and any other stands. And just because you feel strongly about something, does not mean that I do too. As I mentioned, somebody was kind enough to correct it.
At the time…
It’s now proven, looking up a link now is a waste of time. However I had, because you called it hasbara, mentioned that al Arabia was misquoting Sistani. I guess That was not sufficient for you.
When your house is stolen…
You either become dead, a refugee or take up arms. A militant is one who has taken up arms to fight for his cause.
I refer to the hizballah as a militia because they are from the people of the South.
Please check, I referred to the houthis as rebels, not militants. This is because they are rebelling against the Yemeni government, even if it was imposed, it consists of Yemeni nationals. If they were in power I would not refer to them as rebels. If they were fighting a foreign power occupying Yemen, they would be freedom fighters. If they were killing civilians by blowing themselves up, I would refer to them as terrorists.
The Muslims are being reunited…
This is, and I’ll quote you here, pure bullshit assumption on your part. Till you can provide links and facts to back your flights of fancy, I will ignore them entirely.
I can tell you…
You are getting warmer, keep trying. I do think you are living in Oman though, but just like you, it’s none of my business.
The beheading of Foley is…
Remains to be seen
ISIS is fake…
If you mean it is a project, I could agree. If you mean it in the sense that it is an illusion, then Assad just lost his air base to the “shabihah” ghosts.
The problem in Iraq…
That is a problem for the Shia who are being bombed. It is part of the sectarian war that is going on. But since you are a fan of Khomeini, no such conflict exists.
Saudi video…
I’ve seen that video. It changed that man’s view and maybe a few others. But not that of most.
Sectarianism is gone…
Tell that to the people dying for their beliefs, Shia or Sunni.
So to show that you are not…
Ha ha ha… I try to be unbiased. But I’m sure most Sunni readers will tell you, I fail to remain neutral.
How about…
You can keep replying to their comments.
Warm regards
Mindfriedo

Instead of replying to me, if you have used that time to reflect what I am trying to tell you, you could have become a better ……..
Barzani hails Iran’s support for Iraqi Kurds in fighting ISIL
“President of Iraq’s Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Masoud Barzani has praised Iran for supporting Iraqi Kurds in their fight against the Takfiri ISIL militants.
Speaking in a joint press conference with Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Tuesday, Barzani added that Iran was the first country that supplied the Kurdish forces with arms and helped them fight ISIL terrorists.
He emphasized that Iraqi Kurds would never forget Tehran’s support that came at a crucial timing without any expectation for reciprocation.
Barzani also underlined the need to continue fighting ISIL terrorists and said the final defeat of these Takfiri militants is only possible through a joint effort on the part of all regional countries.”
What happened to breaking up Iraq into 3 separate states?
When you post a siterip do you change what you get into what your bias is? In which case you should put a note along side it.
In most cases I do not care about religion. Just like Assad does not care about religion. But anyone in power would be his clan with some minor roles by others. but that is the same EVERYWHERE.
Unless YOU were part of the team you would have no idea what is going. Trying to give an event meaning is like the US media trying to explain why the market went down or up. We would rather know what the market is doing.
About ISIL, The US spent how much money trying to train Iraqi and Afghani soldiers, police and enforcers but were not successful. But ISIS dont have any problem with using US tactics. Even the Europeans have trouble with it. IE the Ukrainians who were trained by the US got clobbered by the militia. So did the Georgians even their special forces who did not see much action but I doubt they would have done that much better. When Putin saw how pathetic his soldiers were he made drastic changes in all aspects of the armed forces. You can still see those pathetic ones in those captured by the Ukrainians. Compare those the soldiers we saw in Crimea.. ISIS might actually use special forces to command and direct. The MH17 fiasco shows that in most cases you also need people close to where those command is being executed. But we really have no idea about any of it because we are not involved. Adding our bias to a situation would only confuse the issue. Just post the events as is.
Mindfriedo you’re doing a great job, please don’t waste too much time trying to placate those increasing shrill whiners accusing you of bias.
It will suck your time, mental energy and eventually your morale. Keep posting the way you do, call a spade a spade and never shirk away from criticizing whining/bad-behavior/atrocities committed by either shias or sunnis. The shias have been grossly abused and their perspective is rarely heard, the Sunnis have been coddled by the Anglo and Gulf media for too long and they have to face up to their biases and the atrocities committed in their name and promoted by their mainstream religious leaders.
Before some cry-baby Sunni extremist accuses me of being a biased Shia, I am a Buddhist from South Asia, but my observation reflects the views of my Hindu friends as well.
Take care and keep up the great work.
PS: If Mohammed (a shia) criticizes you for criticizing shia groups and Sunni readers criticize you for being biased towards Shia, then you must be doing something right.
