Thanks. A beauty-full show of making love with music and having sex with passion.

This Beauty is apparently Georgian and knows seven languages. She arouses the Beast.

Reminds me of Putin as conductor and Lover Russiana as Freedom leading the new Russian army on the move against the Beast of the West.

Oh I love Paco de Lucia. I even played a lot of his music, beginning Entre Dos Aguas which I discovered at the age of 14! Then my guitar style moved towards rock and jazz, which is what I still play today (acoustic jazz guitar). Sometimes I also like to play the bass guitar, just for fun.
I am sad that Paco died, but I am also happy that he has a worthy heir: Vicente Amigo. Just listen to that video:

I loved Paco’s stuff from an early age, too! Also went rock/jazz. I was very into Paco, McLaughlin, and Eddie Van Halen as a young guitarist. :) There was no contradiction to an 11 year old kid at the time; all three would feature in Guitar Player magazine simultaneously. Music was music!

I saw Paco de Lucia live on the “Passion, Grace and Fire” tour with John McLaughlin and Al di Meola at the concert hall here. An amazing show. As much as I love McLaughlin, Paco was picking w/ fingers, classical style! He blew away the show and I still remember him in his solo set, alone in the spotlight, commanding the hall. I am so grateful that he lived. Thanks for stoking the fires of memory, Saker. Thanks for lovely Paco clip, Elsi!

Thank you also for the links.

What talent. I’m not sure what has more: his brain or his hands.

I think the twice weekly cafe feast should have dinner music with featured artists like this. I’d start with Rachmaninoff piano concerto 2 with Putin as invited guest.

I mean what are cafes and music for if not as preludes to making love?

Beauty transformed the Beast that way so why not the star from the east in regards to the lily of the west? It looks like after the American and Russian elections of 2017 Vladimir and Hillary are fated to tango, or is it tangle like two entangled electrons with opposite spins at opposite sides of the universe.

    Beautiful music!

But music alone, unfortunately, can’t ensure peace.

There are those words in one of our (Russian) songs:

    When soldiers sing,
Our kids can sleep in peace

Peace will only be achieved when it truly resides in every soul- thus one person at a time and we will get there.

Beautiful angelic voice. She has many videos online.

    • Dennis Leary on April 16, 2016  ·  at 12:23 am EST/EDT

Ah, the beauty of sex and the sacred. Repression and Excessism. Love is the center between the extremes and since she is everywhere and everywhen she’s also in the extremes. The center holds. A false center folds.

I love the sacred chants, monasticism and asceticism, holy icons and the feelings they evoke. Divna sings and dances in the center between extremes.

I was a monk for twelve years, four of them as a priest. I also was in a new age religion for twenty plus years. And from all that created my own religion.

Every Dennis/Dionysus has a Divna inside. Like every vineyard sings the Song of Solomon.

        @ Dennis Leary

I do not mean to be rude, but you indeed are not coherent. Before writing anything, first ask yourself, what exactly is that you want to say. There is an old common Slavic maxim that roughly translates as “First bake it, then say it”.

        • Vasco da Gama on April 16, 2016  ·  at 2:08 am EST/EDT

Some people get to be so raw, that they don’t shy to bake it in front of everyone, and that is not crude at all. Here in semi-anonymity it is easy to be blunt, but sharpen your fork in front of your passion hoping for love and she’ll tell you about coherence.

          • Valery on April 16, 2016  ·  at 4:59 am EST/EDT

            @ (the same one)

Again more disconnected words, obviously by the same person who wrote the preceding ones. As suggested, simply do try to think first, and only then write.

          • Dennis Leary on April 16, 2016  ·  at 5:28 pm EST/EDT

Thanks. What you say coheres, except for the sharp fork in front of my passion. I’ll have to chew on the passion but the sharp fork sticks. I’m afraid I’m incoherent mentally; have to trust my gut on this one.

Vasco cohered Europe and Asia. More food for thought.

            • Dennis Leary on April 16, 2016  ·  at 5:38 pm EST/EDT

More incoherence. My comment was meant for Vasco, not Valery. I made a comment to Valery but not this one. My comment to her as not yet appeared.

Posting some music is not enough and “beauty” is not sufficient to save the planet.
Maybe it is good enough like listening to music on the Titanic – but it by itself certainly won’t rescue her.

To those who find the earlier stuff too boring, here is one of my favorite songs. And I must add that I still have my old T-Shirt where it reads “Already 18!”.

Only to watchers who are Lenin-Pioneers and 18 years old (the lyrics only to those who are interested):

To rescue my honour here another of my favorite songs (I’m not joking with such things, I mean the music without referring to any movie) :

      Chopin Nocturne No. 20
      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9oQEa-d5rU&index=2&list=RDjHfQCfUTlXE

      and another one:

Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky – Waltz of the Flowers from “The Nutcracker”

Love them all equally – beautiful art – what a wide field.

Proposal: Instead of ammunition bring such music (or Opium as the British did) to future battle fields, then they have no time and no wish anymore for shooting .

Thanks, Martin, for that mix of links. Nice contrast with the sacred music of another commenter.

From the sublime to the ridiculous. Wladyslaw Szpilman has lady in one name and man in the other. If you’re looking for it, love pops up all over.

          @Dennis Leary:

          > BTW, who’s picture graces this Beauty will save the world piece?

          Did I ever promise that?
What I said was, enjoy the music, make it loud.

To save the planet we needed a time machine.
Yes – I am convinced that a Stalinist system would be the best for eveyone (literally).
I think one shouldn’t reduce communist ideology to masonic agendas. Masonic symbols are everywhere, including in Russia 300 years back, e.g. the Double-headed eagle: http://pierre.mollier.perso.sfr.fr/articles/PM-12-Double-Headed-Eagle.pdf
One should also keep in mind the images of Russia’s Orthodox church leadership sitting next to Yeltsin for years.

I know that the so called Communist Party of the RF is no solution (too old, too small, too late, probably too-pro-West and too corrupt), but bring these young pioneers to power without giving them the opportunity to exploit / absue their power and let them outlaw money (and send all Oligarchs and money-changers and their paid MSM idiots to Gulags, where they can turn wheels all night and day long to generate electricity or to secure the Chernobyl, Fukushima etc. sites). Then they would do something good for humanity for the first time in their reptile “lives”.

This and only this Beauty (of the kids) has the potential power to rescue life on earth:

But we need a better ideology.
Capitalism not only cannot do it, but doesn’t at least try to.
As we will never see this, download more such youth songs and max up the volume …

Whether or not beauty will save the world, I don’t know, but without it (this is real beauty, not some sentimental schmaltz in a Hollywoodian’s fantasy/travesty; not some magazine model but rather, for example, a monarch butterfly), things look pretty grim. “Beautiful” has been scorned and trivialized in the capitalist world for some time now, especially in music. Listened to auto-tuned radio lately?

  11. Ingrid on April 15, 2016  ·  at 9:48 am EST/EDT

Thank you Saker, and I am sure that only love and beauty can save the world. I would like to share this unique performance of one of my favourite singers Lara Fabien. Je suis malade

Beauty will save the world, enlightenment starts from Russia, is wonderfully written in the books of Vladimir Megre. This entrepreneur met a woman named Anastasia who lives in the wilderness of Siberia and still does now. A very wise woman who has a very important message for humanity.

She predicts that enlightenment of humanity will come from Russia. The books set forth — in very clear language — profound ideas about the education of children and the importance of communicating with living Nature — ideas ranging from nutrition and health to spirituality and sexual relations. With their practical wisdom on matters of everyday life, the books have become the basis for a number of sociological studies and scholarly papers.

These insights created a large movement worldwide, starting in Russia. One of the most important subjects is that families should own a piece of land, a family domain of 1ha land, where generations can blossom and connect to Nature. All the domains like a patchwork will spread over the earth.
    Kin Domains

The efforts of the writer, he contacted scientists and government leaders since 1995 have paid off. On april 12th the law came into force in Russia that anyone can have a peace of land of 1 ha freely available. Until now in the far east but I am sure this will spread over all Russia.
The Russian president has approved the idea to offer large land plots for free to anyone who resettles to the Russian Far East to start a farm or other business

    Ringing cedars of Russia

When you read these books it makes your heart jump and you know there is a beautiful future for mankind.

And in time Russia will be the main supplier of organic foods worldwide. So by reading these books and searching the internet how this all was developing in Russia I discovered the Saker and was drawn into politics and war and learned so much about history and geopolitics and the interesting views of not only Saker, Scott and others, but also all the commenters here. But my focus stays on the positive developments described in these books. For example: Russia top grain exporter and Russia the worlds organic food champion

    • Internal Exile USA on April 16, 2016  ·  at 1:28 am EST/EDT

Very interesting information, thanks for posting. Maybe we could get some discussion about this in the Café threads, some of the non-political sides of Russian culture that that border on the mysteries of nature — Russian ethnobotany, mycology, even the long tradition of openness to psychic research and cryptozoology. The Russian cosmonauts were using Eleuthro (“Siberian Ginseng”) extracts to enhance stamina years ago, and Russia doesn’t have the bias the West has for serious reseach in these areas. If Russia has been able to hinder or even stop the West’s crazy bio-tech monstrosities, they have a bright future indeed for organic crops of all kinds (including medicinal plants) and, what can I say, the perfect country to do it in. What a joyful thought.

Ingrid, I have read the entire series of books, safe the latest addition, Anasta. I find these books thought-provoking, heart-warming and highly inspiring. Yet, the content is not for the faint-hearted.

These books are about the significance of having a practical approach to spirituality, love and care for nature and humanity, and intricately related, they are about the relevance of understanding the practical application of the power of thought and imagination.

      Energy flows where attention goes.

Evidently, the ones who control the mass-media,
understand the power of thought and imagination.

For those interested, in the bookshop at the anastasia.ru website a free digital copy of the first Anastasia book is available for free with author’s permission. Also two digital booklets with “Parables” and “Tales of the Future”, which are excerpts from the books, are available for free.

Do you know the kin schools in Russia? Where the children are teachers, dance, make beautiful artwork and are not afraid to ask questions. Children in this school are not being prepared for a social role in the future but live in the now. They become responsible for their own education. They create the school and the text books. Really amazing. The schools of the future.

What a thought, teaching kids to build things, defend themselves, learn self-control and discipline yet at the heart remain free to express God-given gifts. Thank you. This is a great video. I know about the schools from the writings of Vladimir Megre. He introduces the work of Mikhail Shetinin. Amazing to see how well these kids are able to explain what their education is all about. This educational system requires no additional marketing.

          Mikhail Shetinin in the video:

“Adults think children are some primitive undeveloped beings. But in reality each child is born with full knowledge of the Way.”

These kids develop the natural ability of focusing their attention. The key to creativity.

The purpose of mass-media and pop culture is maintenance of the damage inflicted upon our attention spans in school. Mass-media provides a constant bombardment of our senses with trivial unrelated irrelevant mind-numbing information streams.

Internal Exile USA and Human 2.0. Thank you for responding. By googeling the name Mikhail Shetinin, I came across this website deepsnowpress. Here I found very interesting books.
Again you have to really open your mind and heart to grasp the way how to change your reality in every day’s life. “The art of soaring” Vladimir Dolokhov and Vadim Gurangov has been a bestseller in Russia for 12 months in a row. There are some excerpts you can read there. The secret is again to use your imagination to the absurd and fuel it with humor. This is the magic, real magic. What do you both think of this? It might be interesting to test it.

        • Human 2.0 on April 19, 2016  ·  at 10:47 pm EST/EDT

          …

“The art of soaring” seems to be revolving around the idea of re-connecting to one’s natural inner sense of joy. Wherever there is a sense of joy, there is a sense of humor.

Joy relates to the appreciation of beauty,
          it requires undulled senses.

Our senses are either dulled or vivified by our thoughts and feelings, or by external sensory input.

A healthy inner sense of joy functions as a beacon.

          Mikhail Shetinin in the video:

“Man produces the highest good: the thought. Thought is not information, it is the quality of information. Do nut stuff a child with information. Teach him to use information to improve the quality of life. Thought is Man’s principal creation. It is the energy that creates the common good. We don’t just reflect reality, we create it with our thought.”

Ingrid, I’ve noticed that the editor of “deepsnowpress” is Leonid Sharaskin, who happens to be the editor of the first English edition of the Anastasia series, translated by John Woodsworth. The first edition was authorized by Vladimir Megre, a second release apparently lead to some disagreements. Vladimir Megre then decided to publish an updated author’s edition of the series. The first 7 volumes of the new edition are translated by Marian Schwartz, the remaining three volumes are translated by Suzan Downing. The links I provided earlier concern the new author’s edition. I’ve read the earlier translation and enjoyed the quality of the language. Unfortunately, I don’t speak Russian, so I have no opinion about the quality of the translation. (nor am I a native English speaker). The nice thing about the initial translations is that it contains many contextual footnotes which aid non Russian readers.

I have finally obtained a copy of “Anasta”. I look forward reading it in the next days.

Below is another interesting video with English subtitles about the work of Mikhail Shetinin:

Mysteries of the Lightfall – a unique school in Tekos.

            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cH-XW0ONeJ0

The makers of this video consider Mikhail Shetinin’s work to be first of all an experience of disclosure of life-giving energy in children.

Mikhail Shetinin gives the following answer as to whether such experience could be in demand in today’s Russia. (and the rest of the world..)

Some of what he said probably got lost in the translation.

“I believe that a greatest need today is to reconsider our attitude towards children. We should not limit them by the social frames, we should stop looking at our educational system as something like a market place where we buy what this market has for sale – this is terrible! The market of educational services, it is just awful. Children are supreme beings, we have to work with, we should listen to a child. Child’s phenomenon is a Divine providence, God speaks to us through the children. Remember: “unless you become like little children you will not enter the kingdom of God”. We seem to have turned to God today, but we do not see that a child is the messenger of Divinity. A child has come to us to help and not to meet the claims we keep capriciously asking him to fulfill. We have to listen to a child, it has come, it simply shouts”.

Evidently, Mikhail Shetinin is a religious man, however, his work and his visionary ideas revolve around the idea that beliefs as such, however lofty they may be, have zero significance unless we aspire to the practical application of our beliefs.

We have to take the kingdom of Heaven by Force.

            Nothing happens by itself.

Humanity’s co-creative potential powered by Love is that force.

            …

“Beauty is truth, truth beauty,—that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know”
    &

“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”

Camera. Arabic transl. = “to see through” or something like that. Interestingly the fabricators of the early medieval camera obscura’s (not the first obscura’s built, but when the science of optics began to evolve into it’s modern form) believed that the key organ of perception by their understanding was not the eye, nor the mind, but the heart. As in: you see with your heart.

    • Another Anon on April 15, 2016  ·  at 10:46 am EST/EDT

Correction: Translation of Camera or Qamarah is ‘chamber’, probably a word with a Greek root. I’ll have to check my old book (US publ.) on making pinhole camera’s to see what the ‘seeing through’ translation was in relation or reference to for those early ‘Opticians’.

Wow. This is a keeper. So short and sweet. I agree. The comments and links are precious.

I’ve been anxious and depressed last couple of days. In the midst of it at a hardware store I saw a beautiful woman. What more can I say?

Russia is so beautiful. Let’s do everything we can to help her stay that way.

What worries me the most is the fifth column presstitutes who would turn Russia into a whore of the West. How? By perverted power, money and sex.

The Catholic Church used to have special prayers at the end of Masses for Russia. The Blessed Mother predicted that the world will be saved when Russia is converted. The message got twisted to mean converted to the Roman church. The true meaning is that Russia will be converted to true love and beauty and that will save us all.

Soundwise, this is a much, much better reproduction of “La Catedral” interpretation than the one posted before. Ana Vidovic is a phenomen of nature that must be acknowledged.

I would like to become the guitar that Ana Vidovic plays.
If that is not possible, I would be happy to become the wood of the stool on which she plays.

Awesome simplicity. A simple idea creates this outpouring of beauty.

It’s too much so we think “yes but” it’s too simple.

Beauty’s nice but it just isn’t enough. How can it stop an empire’s war on a vineyard?

Have we not seen the Russian army in battle array? The most powerful beauty ever except for when Putin sits alone pondering the next move on a multi-dimensional chess board.

Or when the author of the Song of Solomon wrote:

“You are beautiful, my love, as the narcissus flower
And noble as the City of Jerusalem
But terrible now as an army in battle array

They cry: who is this who advances
    Like the light of dawn
    Lovely as the moon
    Clear as the sun
Terrible as an army in battle array?

What do you see in this daughter of Shulam
Unless it were an army in battle array?”

In my universe there’s only one thing greater than beauty
It’s an idea whose time has come
I might call it one thing and you another
    You might call it mother
And I might call it lover
It could be this or the other
But of all the beauties she’s the sum

I’m sitting here staring at this screen
Wondering if the world is red or green

Who are you out there so beautiful?
What are you doing in a war room like this?
    Do you think it’s suitable
To make war with a kiss?

      Dear Dennis,
Maybe you may wonder but I appreciate your thoughts a lot.Sometimes I have the feeling that you wrote special to me.Why ? because your words can be applied to my current life.I live in a foreign country with my mom,and you’re right, she is my dearest in my life, specially now,as she is old and ill.She doesn’t want to see any doctors for now, doesn’t want to accept any treatment, she just wants to die…and I don’t.Can you imagine the struggle in my soul ? I have prayed a lot…in vain, the Sky is not listening, the angels have other duties, the Lord is far away, while the Darkness is closing up.My heart is breaking away,my fighting spirit is screaming in pain and I could do nothing. If I could I’ll go back in time…to change some patterns.I have learned to love Jesus,I learn to believe in Love,I learned to believe in justice and truth, but I learned to fight for everything in my life,I learned to cry and be desolate,to be let down and stand up again, and now I’m getting tired.
Yes,the war is underway, everywhere,in my private life till Honolulu. The spiritual side of that war is much more destructive. In a real war you get killed but you know your enemies,in this realm you don’t know who is your enemy or if you know, sometimes you cannot fight back,it is invisible.
All I can do is to accept the defeat which is very hard.”Eli,Eli,lama sabactami ?” said Jesus on the cross…the rest you know.

      • Dennis Leary on April 16, 2016  ·  at 6:30 pm EST/EDT

I feel your pain. I took care of my mother when she was disintegrating with alcohol and nicotine, and then was with her when she died in the hospital. I was too closed down then to feel the grief but I feel it now.

At the end, her eyes opened wide as if seeing something I did not, took a last breath and the veins in her neck bulged as if to say good-by. I’m choking up now.

I was also with my father in the hospital when he died from cancer. My mother and siblings were there too. The last thing he could do was squeeze my mother’s hand. I was just numb but my mother pulled out a rosary and we prayed that.

I guess what I’m saying through these tears is that Jesus, Love, Mother Mary or whatever will help us get through. I wish I could have cried then. Pain shut me down but now opens me up.

I don’t want to say the wrong thing or be a bother. I’ve been hurt a lot and have developed a tough skin. I’m learning to open up in a safe community like this. You are so beautiful in what you say. I don’t want my words to get in the way.

My sister is weakening. She might have parkinson’s. I’m in California and just visited her in Wisconsin. I cry for her too but what can I do? I’ll visit her and her family again in a couple months.

The pain of the world is so great that we have to cover it with things like war. Your quote of Jesus’ words on the cross echo that pain. But he made it through somehow. “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” is something so many feel.

I’m calming down. Pain always passes in my experience.

Dylan said “sky’s full of fire, pain falling down” on an album that was released on 9/11. He also sang: “behind every beautiful face there’s some kind of pain.”

We all deal with pain in our own way I suppose. This vineyard deals with it in one way and the empire another way. It all stems from lack of love, probably from our childhood, babyhood, wombhood and back through past lives.

So I dry my tears, take a deep breath, say a prayer of thanks and get on with my life. That sounds so cold. I warm and soften it with the thought of love. It works for me until the next rain of pain begins to fall. At 76 I’m learning that rain and pain make me grow because they’re love too.

Thanks for sharing your pain, rain and love.

“Beauty will save the world” — doubt it, being within the eye of the beholder, and yet it may lead us to the wisdom that can: “Verily by beauty it is that we come at wisdom” (Robert Bridges, Testament of Beauty, Book IV, I.1305)
