Dear friends,
Blog migration to new servers
First I would like to update you on the migration of this blog to dedicated servers in Iceland. The short version is this: it is happening, we have already backed up the data, the server is up, WordPress has been installed, and the very kind IT specialists who are helping me are working on a few more matters. It might take a little longer, but it is well worth the wait as everything will become both much easier and much better. Also, no need to worry about “missing” the move – I will double-post here and on the new blog for at least a month. Then I will “freeze” this blog with the last post indicating how to get to the new version. So please have a little more patience and you will get:
1) dramatically improved moderation (thanks to new rules and the assistance of volunteers).
2) no more CAPTCHA nonsense, no more ads.
3) a multi-page blog with special pages for specific items.
4) much improved security and counter-attack options.
5) several easy to remember domain names.
6) the possibility to add features as we go.
And, just to confirm: anonymous blogging will be allowed, but you will have the option to sign up to avoid trolls using your nickname/alias. You will not have to sign up, however. That will be your choice.
Donations
First, I want to thank the people who have sent me donations this month:
Via PayPal: JEM, MB, RF, DK, JMM, TD, AW, MF, ALP, VC, PN, NGG, GA, MT, LB, SK, JN, YF, JRL, AC, SF, JS, ET, SC, AT, ND, BB, AW, PB, MM, LH, CW, AA, RH, PM, HS, MB, SE, HRS.
Via Snail Mail: (all anonymous this month)
Thanks a lot to all of you – you are making this blog possible and you are helping me and my family to make ends meet at a time when this is not easy for us. To all of you an immense and heartfelt ‘thank you!’ not only for your generosity, but also for what is a very tangible sign of support.
Your support
I will be honest with you, this has been a very tough month for me for personal and blog related reasons. On the family front, my oldest daughter left for college while my oldest son is in trouble with the law – a taxing combination, I assure you. On the blog front, I have been shocked by the sharp rise of nasty, condescending and even outright rude comments and emails I got recently, so it was particularly heartwarming to also receive very kind expressions of support from so many of you. Let me immediately reassure you, the ratio of hatemail to kindmail is still overwhelmingly in favor of the latter, but even though I probably shouldn’t say that, the hatred also gets to me. So even as I wrote many times one heartfelt “thank you” weighs more than 100 insults, I am immensely grateful for all the expressions of support I have received from all of you.
I will share another personal thing here: the war in Novorussia literally tears me up inside. I think about it 24/7 and it is gut-wrenching for me to follow it minute by the minute. Being emotionally so involved makes it very hard to keep up a more or less rational and fact-based blog. Over the past months I have been grinding my teeth (literally) at every news of atrocity committed by the junta in Novorussia and every day I daydream about a massive, brutal and decisive Russian military intervention to finally stop it all and give these Ukie Nazis the end they deserve (it would take less than 24 hours, believe me). But then I carefully think about it and I have to agree that making that US Neocon dream come true would pure folly and that the current solution (political and covert support) is the “least bad” one even if it often feels like a torture.
So while I love this blog, it is also very very hard for me psychologically and emotionally to fight that “information war” day after day after day and it takes all of my (so-called) “free” time (typically 80-100 emails each day, about 100 comments each morning only, 3-4 hours per day on getting the info, reading the sources, etc. Then dealing with organizational issues, personality conflicts amongst friends and collaborators, and, last but not least, doing analysis and writing articles). All this is to say that your support really means the world to me and gives me the energy and motivation to wake up every day and go right back to the”information war” which is no less important than the shooting war. To know that at least one other person out there really cares is immensely encouraging and motivating, much more than I can express in words. So thank you for all your expressions of support.
One more thing: Fulan Nasrullah has had a family member hospitalized so he cannot write his Nigeria SITREP for a while, but he will come back later.
That’s it for this short blog news update. I will keep you posted with similar “blog housekeeping updates” on a regular basis. In the meantime, a huge thank you to all, for your kindness, trust, support and simply for being out there :-)
Kind regards,
The Saker
Keep up the good work, your insightful analysis is inspiring!
Warmest Regards,
Ian
Dear Saker,
You blog has been, and is, an invaluable resource. I am amazed that you do find the time to keep it at its high level. Please don’t over do it, family and health are the most important things. And don’t let the trolls get you down. Maybe you could create a ‘/dev/nul’ or ‘naughty step’ subsection in the new blog system for all the rubbish so it can be seen publicly for what it is?
Saker, to all of us who luckily found your blog you have been an inspiration. Take the denigration and insults from the rats as a measure of your success!
best to you and yours, dth
Dear Saker
What a burden you are carrying. Your pain and angst for Novorussia is felt by many in different parts of the world. We have cousins in Crimea, Ukraine and Russia… this time last year we were visiting them – now we wait for news from your site every day… so please ignore the trolls… some words of cheer…
“When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,
When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don’t you quit.”
Thank you Saker, for everything you do.
I too have had to get some perspective and step back from the day in and day out details of the battles, checking this site, Col Cassad’s and the Twitter feeds like @BradCabana’s far too often. For several weeks as many people noticed I did not post here after the MH17 false flag, being so angry about it and how the truth was being buried. Now my anger over the murder of 298 passengers and thousands of people in Novorossiya is a slow burning, unyielding flame.
This is a slow grinding war and isn’t going to have big spectacular battles Kursk-style though it would seem Kiev is preparing a Kursk type offensive, judging by the massive convoy of armored vehicles and GRAD MLRS that just rolled through Kharkov that @BradCabana tweeted. Such a force isn’t necessary if the purpose is just to intimidate Khernes — they can use Azov Nazis in buses and trucks for that.
I’m wondering at this hour: are the Ukies crazy enough to attack Russia directly from Kharkov in retaliation for the alleged ‘Russian convoy’ that entered to attack along the Sea of Azov coast? Is this the last big desperate throw to get Russia directly involved in the open? Or are they simply throwing the kitchen sink at Lugansk to create a ‘victory’ and stem the tide of bad news ahead of the parliamentary elections Porkyshenko has called for in October, before the natural gas starts running out? Seems the answer is ‘all of the above’. NAF better be careful not to get trapped along the Sea of Azov coast/advance on too narrow a front like the Ukies have done time and again. But as a diversion that forces Ukies to peel off troops that would otherwise break through their main pocket it’s a brilliant move, all the more if there’s a ‘fishing boat’ fleet at ready on the Russian side to evacuate any cut off NAF by sea at night.
Saker, the hatred in the heart of the enemies of goodness, equality, fairness is overwhelming for a good person to deal with. Please look into the techniques used by some therapists to avoid soaking up the negative energy of their clients. There are several ways of doing this, you have to find the one that’s best for you. Good luck!
Some first hand evidence of what is going on at Mariupol on 25 August.
There seems to be a widespread exodus of both military and civilian traffic. The four videos included show massive queues at petrol stations, massive queues and empty shelves in shops, and a monster queue on what is presumably the main road out of town.
Re: why do’nt the young men of Novorussia defend their cities?(1/2)
Novorussia’s apathy bothers many of of the commentators here (including myself) – and I feel it is an important problem, not only for Novorussia but for all western countries. Here are some thoughts on this:
Part 1: a story of subversion.
Part 2: a story of hope?
Part 3: Conclusions and some signs of hope.
Part 1: A story of subversion.
The International Herald Tribune, some 30 or 40 years ago, I remember the story well: an explorer had discovered a small matriarchal tribe somewhere in China. In this tribe the men had no rights and no possessions – they were only supposed to cultivate the fields. There was no family – when a woman wanted the company of a man she would send a messenger to him with an order to come to her cubicle in the central hut for a few hours only. After a while the explorer got invited into the central hut and there he met 3 young brothers who seemed to be superb physical specimens – and the explorer thought that he had at last met the lions of the den. But he quickly discovered that these young men had no strength of character to speak of and were completely subservient to the the women – and he concluded that he had actually met the lambs of the den. And when he asked the chief of the tribe why their men were so submissive she laughed and gave the following explanation: „That’s very easy. If you take away their idea of performance the men become very docile“.
This is a sentence I’ve never forgotten and I’ve watched it being implemented in our cultures for the last 30 years. The majority of men of the current generation have been forced by an unending flood of propaganda to discard the traditional male values of performance, courage/endurance and resistance to violence/adversity (these qualities demand the ability to suppress feelings of fear and of discouragement) . They are taught in school as well as by the MSM that they must be „sensitive“, that the only desirable aim in life is to „live“ (i.e. to have pleasure) and that violence must be avoided at all costs – in one word they have to behave like women. And this propaganda is not presented as a choice: if you don’t agree with it you are „insensitive“, „macho“ and in general despicable – and very biased laws like VAWA (violence against women act), which have been implemented in all the colonies too, are a powerful instrument of coercion against men. I believe that this explains the reactions in Novorussia – and also in all of our western countries.
Part 2: A story of hope.
Norway 2010 and 2011. The norwegian sociologist and author of TV comedies Harald Eia introduces a television show called „Hjernevask“ (“Brainwashing”) which contrasts cultural models of human behavior („our sexual preferences are just a result of brainwashing by society“) against nature-nurture perspectives („we are what nature allows us to be“). This show starts with the observed fact that in Norway (one of the most „modern“ countries in the world) the job market has very obvious typical „men’s professions“ and „women’s professions“. The series ignited a wide and sometimes controversial public discussion followed by the closing of the Nordic Gender Institute in Oslo by a decision of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2011(!). The links to this series (with english subtitles) are easily found in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hjernevask – each one of the 7 episodes has a very explicit statement of the question that it adresses.
These videos are a pleasure to watch: you get a strong feeling of common sense – strengthened by equally solid scientific information provided by world-renowned scientists. My personal take on this is that Eia clearly shows the manipulative/coercive and scientifically baseless aspects of gender theories – and this is why the Nordic Gender Institute was closed. Btw the English Wikipedia text is definitely shorter, less explicit and more doubtful than the German one :-) .
Dear Saker,
My appreciation of the good and NOBLE (a word not used much nowadays, alas!) work that you are doing. May HE give you strength and courage to keep doing what you are doing. BTW, I disagree with many of your political and philosophical premises (I am a socialist, not a blind believer in organized religion, favor the realpolitik approach over the soft ones, etc.)but it is a real pleasure reading you because of your intellectual and moral honesty. With sincere regards and best wishes,
Re: why do’nt the young men of Novorussia defend their cities?(2/2)
Part 3: Conclusions. The official theories, the practical results, and some signs of hope.
The official theories.
IMO the western societies have, for a generation or more, been the victims of coercive (people are forced by propaganda to change their views) and subversive („it’s all for your own good“) gender theories that all started from the basic political diktat „there must be no psychological differences between men and women“. The main victims of this massive attack are the following:
1. women are „persuaded“ to abandon the family and to become mostly interested in work – those that still understand that the family is the basic cell of society (~30%?) are vilified.
2. men (by natural evolution the defenders of family and society) are „persuaded“ to change their values and to behave behave like women.
3. the ideas of family and sexual attraction/love between man and women are declared as illusions and homosexuality is loudly touted as an at least equivalent „choice“.
4. the children are destabilized with these new theories from an early age on (f. ex. 3-4 years in France)
The practical results.
Now what have been the practical results ? And unless you believe that all these results have come together by pure coincidence I would call these the intended results.
1. An atomization of our society: human relations have been destroyed (and replaced by money/pleasure as the sole values), everyone is essentially alone today (i.e helpless against official propaganda), there are no more cohesive groups (like the family or like religion) who can resist: even the natural attraction between men and women has been subverted to a mutual distrust.
2. A strong demographic contraction in all western countries: European couples now have a birthrate of about 1.3-1.4 (whereas the replacement rate is ~2.2), so the next generation of Europeans will be ~50% smaller (but not the immigration).
3. A very obvious and continuous weakening in the intellectual and emotional capabilities of our children as they come out of our „schools“: not only in reading/writing/computing etc but also in understanding, personal reasoning and motivation. Btw1: here is (by pure chance) a recent and relevant zerohedge link: http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2014-08-25/dumb-dumber-scientific-proof-people-are-getting-stupider (the imbedded Daily Mail link is IMO more interesting). BTW2: our cleverest women now often refuse children altogether – does this contribute to a dumbing-down of our children?
4. Draw your own conclusions – but to me this looks like a destruction of our societies.
Now what are the signs of hope?
1. IMO the strongest sign of hope for the West is the awakening of Russia. Why? Because it has recovered the important basic values and maybe the new Russian culture can serve as a much needed and healthy source of renewal for the degenerating West .
2. Harald Eia has shown us that we can push back against the basic manipulative message – even in a „modern“ country. But to do that we have to become aware of (and resist) the subversion of our basic values (male/female values, family values, human relationship values, the cohesiveness of religion) which has very bad consequences for all of us – and even more so for our (few remaining) children.
3. And finally there seem to be some timid signs of awakening by the new generation – like the French protests, the German Monday demonstrations, the international outcry against Gaza, the signs of revolt in Ukraine etc.
This blog is the first one in my experience where truth seekers can communicate freely and I value it highly. All comments are welcome.
¡Ánimos, Saker! But are you surprised? You didn’t seriously think that the Russian-haters were just going to leave you to do you work without bothering you?
Dear Saker,
It is to us to express you our deeply felt gratitude, never mind for the idiocy.

@Saker:
Saker I do understand your emotions on Ukraine – I have no personal relations in eastern Europe but these truthful and unceasing accounts of atrocities really shake me too. I feel that because of the contact with your blog I am changing internally – I am beginning to grapple with the dark side of human nature and I’m starting to look at people with the feeling „do these have a dark side too?“. It reminds me of my visit to Lagos (Nigeria) some 10 or 15 years ago where I came home a changed man because of the huge cultural differences that I encountered. And I considered my change as positive because I had learned important lessons about the human animal. And today, because of your blog, I think I’m going though a similar experience. My very best and sincere wishes of health, strength and success to you and your family.

Saker, if you were not doing any good, I reckon you wouldn’t get any abuse etc, so you MUST be on the right track! As they said in the war: when you are flying over/near the target, you must expect flak.
I’ve noticed it personally, particularly in the past month, that things have become ‘strange’ sometimes regarding posting comments (elsewhere) and the opposition, with their useless/non-logical arguments, and I reckon the warmongers – including their trolls – are getting desperate. They HATE the truth, not least because it exposes them as being in the wrong. All people who fight for truth, goodness and righteousness occupy the HIGH ground, it is impossible for the enemy to claim this. Right is might, not might is right. Might DOES win battles, but right wins the war.
I am more optimistic of the outcome in eastern Ukraine, let me say about 2 notches up from last month.
Saker, don’t worry – Novorussia will win! The war always wins the part with more moral confident & with a little help of friends – aka supplies. Novorusiia already has both.
Only “dangerous” thing is, possibly, the involving of the “third side” – cos it could escalate into the 3rd WW – but don’t worry, zombied people in the West much more like theirs full refrigerators and TV + closets with ham & beer then “high ideals”, whatever for them they can be. For Russians – it is the begining of new era, for them – it’s another “think-tank-bla,bla operation”…
The next move is destroing the dollar as world currency – that’s the only really dangereos thing – cos West “elite” will do everything to stop that.

Dear The Saker,
We all appreciate all the time and effort you put into this essential blog.
Please ignore the hate – that’s what they want – a reaction.
May I suggest – in regard to emails – if the first line or title is unacceptable tick it as spam and then everytime these individuals email their emails go to the spam folder.
I hope the home life improves and if you need to spend time on family – just do it!
You have every right to feel the emotions you do about Ukraine – you care and are human.
Please take care of your health.
Rgds,
Veritas
Thank you for all your hard work.
Saker,
No matter how much (you think you’re) prepared for it, having a kid leave home is just an incredibly difficult adjustment. And it sure does sound like you’ve got a two-fer there — shall be praying. But to have stuff that heavy going on while running this blog and being so emotionally-involved in the absolute horros of this war in Novorossiya — we just stare at each other sometimes in the middle of talking about Ukraine, Russia, the horrors of what the US is perpetrating everywhere, whatever, just sit there contemplating it all and can’t even find a word to say. So I can’t even imagine where you get the strength to do it all! I really truly can’t, but sure do admire you for it.
You say how good it feels to be appreciated — Saker, please hold onto that! ;~) There aren’t enough hours in the day to tell you how important you are to all of our lives, and intellects, and sanity! But please, I’m begging you, do start taking the criticism as the highest honor — consider the sources, for gosh sakes! That’s truly high praise indeed; I mean, if you anger those kinds of people, it’s sure a sign you’re doing something right, right? ;~) You certainly wouldn’t want to be pleasing them or making them happy with what you say, now would you?
And we are praying for Mr. Nasrallah and his friends and family during this hideously difficult time.
Keep up the good work! We cannot thank you enough!
Fondly,
Nora
Saker, I too have had some very emotional moments watching this war and see the horrific things being done to civilians by the nazi orcs. I’m a 48 year old man and it has caused me to just burst out crying on a few occasions looking at the horror. Probably one of the most difficult things to deal with is getting back in comment sections on ‘news’ sites and refuting the ridiculous unsympathetic inhuman points of many US based Russia-phobic posters. It seems as if the entire US is consumed by a form of mental illness (or a variety of forms, for that matter) where the majority have chosen to ignore the obvious and even cheer on the atrocities that stare them straight in the face. The Democrats choose to ignore it as they believe there is no way the first black president of the United States would climb into bed with nazis ( I believe he knows full well what he’s doing) and the Republicans who push for more war with their arm chair warrior cold war mentality thinking more death and destruction is what is needed.
This is the most surreal war of the last 100 years…going back to WW1. There are two narratives being put forth and it seems to me that they are colliding more and more and only one can win…..for the sake of the world. The truth has to win out and the people have to rise up against the nefarious powers that have put all these chess pieces in play. They have to realize they are being duped. If the US narrative is allowed to stand we can expect more of the same some where else in the very near future. (wherever John McCain shows up). These tactics may even be used against the people of the EU and US by their own government.
I honestly believe that Russia is supposed to win this ordeal and lead the way away from Western corporate controlled proxy wars and American global exceptionalism. Things are occurring on a global scale that are unprecedented and are changing the way the world works. Russia is leading the way in that regard. Real R2P comes to mind. Your blog is a big part of that world change. I know your proud to stand up for it and don’t let the bastards grind you down. You rock. I appreciate it and I know for a fact that all the Novorossiya Facebook sites truly appreciate it as well. Cheers for doing what you do so well and sharing it with others so the truth can win out.
The hatemail is a measure of your effectiveness. You’re getting to them.
Carry on. You’re doing well.
All the best for you and your son, your family, friends and colleagues.
Check is in the snail mail and all that other crap. Thanks a lot for the long hours on your part and other helping. Cheers:)
Brother Saker,
I admire most those who lead from the front. Yours is an information brigade and with greatest respect to the couageous blood and guts Resistance, no less critical to the final outcome.
Today the Western disinformation corps looks battered and confused. They have exhausted their credibility to an unprecedented degree and a space has opened up which at this very moment Putin and the Resistance are exploiting. Today I saw a two minute story on BBC which I would characterize as a total admission of failure. It featured pictures of partisans — YES, Partisans! moving into the south along with video of defeated junta forces being paraded through Donetsk. The narrative was completely fictional but the defeatism was unmistakable.
Without your relentless counterpoint this would not have been possible.
Thank you.
Most of all I admire your stamina. I don’t know how you bury your nose in this filth every day yet always come back for more. Never ever hesitate to take a break so that you remain standing on terra firma.
Also, have you ever considered cloning yourself?
I am not Russian either, but I feel this is a battle of evil toward good, and I am part of it.
Dear Mr. Saker,
You are a treasure. Take the insults and treat them as noise because for some the truth is a hurt and throwing insults are their shield.
Novorussia will prevail.
Stay strong and be well.

Dear Saker,

I never wrote any comments before, but I read the blog every day. This blog, including comments, is my primary source of information about the tragedy happening in my former motherland. Thank you for all your hard work.

Great comments all around.
The social engineering is assisted by pharmaco-chemical engineering. In North America there is an epidemic of men growing breasts. Modern birth control pills use artificial female hormones that don’t break down when flushed down the toilet. We are literally swimming in a chemical soup of feminization and god knows what else.
Speaking of Russian manhood, has everyone seen these pics?

I just read on press TV that kiev is claiming to have captured some russian troops in the eastern ukr
just in time for the talks tomorrow ….
What a breath of fresh air this blog is amid the mindless spin, lies and propaganda foisted upon us by the MSM. Shame on their dereliction of duty to the truth which is now so obvious vis a vis Ukraine to anyone with 2 functioning brain cells. Despair not Saker the hate mail. You are pressing the buttons of some powerful forces of evil in the the gov’t and their corporate sponsors. But truth is prevailing and bless you for the courage to put it forth.

Saker — Oh Golly. Me too. Son. Law. Off to college. Too much heartache. Bad choices. And learning to let go.
Then there’s the REAL tragedy of people caught in war. Seeing loved ones die. Sending them off to die. Knowing that life will be forever altered. Makes ones puny problems seem vapid and insignificant. Yet they are deep and difficult to me. Burdens of the heart.
You are not guilty for any of these events. They are part of human life. We are built for endurance. And God’s in control. Always.
You are much admired and valued. Don’t let the little foxes take your oil.
Onward, A
Finally, after many months and at least two promises of prompt donation on the way but not being able to come thru as hoped, I have at long last made a small contribution. I wish it could be more. I’m just relieved I could finally fullfill my promise, and apparently my lagging may be a blessing in disguise since it appears quite timely.
I don’t have much time right now but I was thinking about why I feel so invested in this conflict- nothing approaching what you describe, for obvious reasons- you’re heritage mainly- but I was wondering if anyone else felt like there was something singularly important and special about Ukraine, that if they could drive out the Nazis and defeat the Kiev Junta, and by extension neocons and oligarchs and all manner of political, financial, and corporate opportunists, while throwing a monkey wrench in US Imperial Anglo-Zionist grand designs, this would be much more meaningful than just one isolated conflict- this would somehow turn the tide for the whole world in some way, and not just in the tactical/strategic sense of US/EU/Nato v Russia (which it may also turn out to be if it goes as hoped), but on a deeper level- I hesitate to use the word spiritual, because that doesn’t quite encompass it for me personally, and others might have a similar sense but be total aetheists or something- but I’ll leave it at that for now. Anyone? I’m really curious whether this is just something I’ve internalized and imagined as a way of dealing with my own fears for the future of this planet, or if this might be a phenomena that at least a few other people have felt or considered. Thanks for any responses. I will say it’s more of a “feeling” or a “sense” as opposed to a belief, but it’s a fairly strong feeling. I’ll have to revisit this topic when I can sort it out a little better.

Part 1: A story of subversion
Your post brought back some memories. A few years ago, I visited what was probably that same village.
If it is, the Herald’s story referred to the Mosuo tribe in YunNan Province.
Home of ShangriLa (recently destroyed in a fire), YunNan is geographically spectacular, and (IMHO) the most interesting Chinese province for its 26 ethnic groups.
It borders Myanmar, Laos & Vietnam so is influenced by those cultures.
And no, I wasn’t “invited”. :-(
Erebus
Saker, thanks so much for your invaluable work. I am a non russian (speaking) citizen of Austria and your blog is the strongest and most trustworthy link to the “other side” in this war. Previously I often had forgotten, that there is another side at all ;)
Another side, inhabited by other europeans.
May God give you and your familiy all the strength you need !
Andreas, Vienna
Congratulation for the fantastic work of the Saker from Belgium(occupied territories by EU and NATO).
People are awaking, now the comments on the news websites are 90/10 n favor of the resistance DPR/LPR.Hope Novorussia will soon spread to Mariupol,Odessa,Karkhov and more.
And liberation of KIEV from the JUNTA should hopeffuly happen.Let banderastan to poland+baltics if they want them in.
I’m sorry to hear about your troubles. You and yours are in my prayers. Thanks for all the work on our behalf.
Croat and Russophile
Well I have to say that unlike Merkel I do expect a military solution to Ukraine, and it will be driven by Novorossiya. Politics will follow along behind the barrel of a gun, whence it arises.
The only real question is if the troops on the ground will retain their force of vision over the coming months or be undercut by local political compromises. Will they go to Kiev and thrown down the tyranny and liberate all of Ukraine, or will they choose their own dividing lines (including Odessa and perhaps TransCarpathia and even, who knows Transnistria), and stay behind them? Maybe there will be a federation, but it’ll be led from the boundaries, not the center.
In the end they’ll do what makes most sense I believe. All that Ukrainian Black Sea coast belongs to Novorossiya, and they have begun the process now of taking it. Meanwhile the Ukrainian army itself may just turn around and point its guns at Kiev. These things are very much spoken of out loud, clearly in the air, even now.
So many of the tools of evil have been blunted in this campaign – even false flags will probably no longer work. The US doesn’t have the ass or stomach for a real fight in Ukraine, IMO, and only wants to asset-strip the country in favor of big-agriculture and big-energy. But even those humble soldiers in the Novorossiya Armed Forces understand this plan, and probably could not be stopped now, even if someone wanted it, from killing all the oligarchs and denying the richest parts of Ukraine to the West.
Keep up the good work. If your son has a tendency to get into trouble with the law then I suggest you find a school in a foreign country for him. Consider Germany cuz the universities there are free for all.

@ Saker,
I’m a non-religious person, but if anyone would ask me, “Do you know a good Christian?” my answer would be, “Yes. The Saker. Here’s a man who sticks to his beliefs and principals the way I think it was meant to be.”
I will not forget Tanya [the woman with her face shot to pieces] nor will I forget the pregnant lady who was raped and strangled in Odessa. It is for them that I will not lose hope and continue to help real news to be spread as an antidote for all the lies MSM spouts whenever I glance at them.
You, Mr. Saker, can lay down your head on a pillow every night and sleep a peaceful sleep, because you don’t tell you you are going to make a difference, you already do and did. That’s something to be very proud of and even though you wobble at times [that shows your human side], I admire what you do and have done.
You are part of a select group of individuals I respect and that’s the biggest compliment I can give you.
You deserve it.
Now, relax and we’ll do all the worrying for you for a while, OK?
Cheers, to a good man.
@Saker: Here is something special for you (and @Everyone within the Vineyard)from all of us within the DumpHarper! collective. We felt that the most appropriate way to show our appreciation would be to present a song from our fellow Canadians. While we did not put together the “video” itself, it kind of sums it all up. Peace and luv to you and yours. Thanks again dear friend, enjoy!
Triumph – Fight the GOOD Fight
Days grow shorter and the nights are getting long
Feels like we’re running out of time
Every day it seems much harder tellin’ right from wrong
You got to read between the lines
Don’t get discouraged, don’t be afraid, we can
Make it through another day
Make it worth the price we pay
The Good Book says it’s better to give than to receive
I do my best to do my part
Nothin’ in my pockets I got nothin’ up my sleeve
I keep my magic in my heart
Keep up your spirit, keep up your faith, baby
I am counting on you
You know what you’ve got to do
Fight the good fight every moment
Every minute every day
Fight the good fight every moment
It’s your only way
All your life you’ve been waiting for your chance
Where you’ll fit into the plan
But you’re the master of your own destiny
So give and take the best that you can
You think a little more money can buy your soul some rest
You’d better think of something else instead
You’re so afraid of being honest with yourself
You’d better take a look inside your head
Nothing is easy, nothing good is free on earth
But I can tell you where to start
Take a look inside your heart
There’s an answer in your heart
Fight the good fight every moment
Every minute every day
Fight the good fight every moment
Make it worth the price we pay
Every moment of your lifetime
Every minute every day
Fight the good fight every moment
Make it worth the price we pay

Some news about Ukraine fascism is getting through to the French public;
http://observers.france24.com/content/20140808-testimony-young-spaniard-fighting-%E2%80%98against-fascism%E2%80%99-ukraine
The Grandes Vacances in France and Belgium are soon over as in the rest of Western Europe. The first of September the students go back to school and the reality of the real world (la rentree) will hit them in the face.
Look for lots of EU protests, strikes, unsold food dumping demonstrations and even riot. In Europe the governments are generally afraid of their people vs the US where the people are afraid of their government. The governments will turn on a dime once their people turn against them.
Saker,
I feel like a friend is out there everyday when I think of your blog.
And I’ve learned so much…its better than any school and cheaper !!!
Even though I know I must send contributions every month…
Money seems so little now and groceries so much…
One bag of groceries…$60 at least…
30 days in a month…you probably need at least $120 (or more) a day to make ends meet….that’s if your daughter’s paying her own way… hehehe
That’s at least two $60 contributions every day…
Ouch.
I don’t know if you believe in reincarnation but there’s a funny story….
The minister on the pulpit said “You’d better do a good job because you only get one chance” !!
Minister on (different) pulpit said “Don’t worry… there’s more chances if you screw this one up”
Here is the only western website that published what is really happening on the ground in the DPR and the LPR:

I baffles me that antiwar.com is avoiding the Ukraine war issues like the plague. Then again Justin is a homosexual and may have something against Putin and the Russian values (no pun intended).
Saker,
you are already a legend! Do not let evil comments to get to you. Every word you say about Nazi Ukies and what is waiting Ukraine on her US/NATO/EU way is truth. We know that here in Balkans, this is same scenario as in ex Yugoslavia. Just look at this region and small, devastated states that remind, without independence, integrity, economy…only sold politicians, oligarchs, ethnic hatred they promote to sold that to stupid people…Reality my dear Saker, reality denies all hate comments, all US propaganda, everyone who say otherwise is either blind or have some interest. So you are not alone, we who follow your work and respect you, will share with you that burden. Remember, we are your comrades in this info-war, stay strong, love from Balkans!!!

I’m also compelled to watch this unfolding and also wonder why. I have had an old Ukranian lady as my neighbour for 20 years and there is a very senior gent at my gym, but that is the extent of my Ukranian connection.
Very early on, maybe when events in Crimea were beginning, someone said, probably on CBC, that this was a proof of US power, basically that if the US lost on this, its (belief in its) credibility as the world’s only superpower would be destroyed. I think that is what is compelling to me. It is an existential battle by the US to maintain its hegemonic power – I check RT and this site before I go to bed every night, first thing in the morning, and through the day. The US needs to lose, but what will it do while it’s going down? I hate to think of it but I need to know.
I write to the CBC morning show when it puts a particularly ridiculous guest on. The CBC local hosts are generally good ordinary people, I think, but with very mainstream uninformed Canadian beliefs. I think it makes a difference when I write.
Many thanks to The Saker and everyone here who is doing what they can. An existential struggle – if we live through it, it will be one of those things we can talk to our greatgrans about.
“Being emotionally so involved makes it very hard to keep up a more or less rational and fact-based blog.”
It must be very difficult but you’re doing a good job imo.
If you is in a shooting war, you should be discouraged if the enemy shoots at or otherwise attacks you, or take it personally. Same with the information and psychological war.

Saker, you are doing a wonderful job in what is, for the world, a very, very dangerous period possibly on a par with the Cuba crisis of October 1962. Many of us need to know what is going on and are now required to use alternative sources given the blatant corruption of the Western MSM. I live in a 5 Eyes country (not that far from GCHQ) and I am disgusted at the servility of the BBC, which I now do not bother to listen to, it being so compromised. You are up there with Bhadrakumar and Escobar as a reliable source, and the work of your correspondents and associates especially in NovoRussia has been fantastic. Take heart, keep the faith and please (health permitting) keep it up…..
Dear Saker,
You have two ears, one is to put the hate mail into the one ear and immediately release by another ear out. Of course, here and there these psychopaths are going to send the hate mail because they hate you bc you are right on a telling the truth to the world. Of course they don’t like it. If your blog would be a non sense, you wouldn’t have so many readers from around the globe. Keep going your professional job and never forget we are stronger and in much more bigger number than they are. It is just a mater of time when all of these lies are going to be confronted and the game will be over. Let’s hope that tomorrow in Minsk Putin and Poroshenko will make a deal and if not, then Mr.Putin will place the ballistic rockets in Cuba just to have some excitement as they have prepared for the Russia at the border with Ukraine and it will be a very different game.
I ‘m positive that your work one day will bring the greatest result as you are building peace gradually around the world and we are with you like your another family fighting for the peace around the world.
Blessing to you and to your family

Coincidentally there is a funny, although slightly amateuristic, documentary about the gender issue in Sweden on RT:
http://rt.com/shows/documentary/182216-find-origins-gender-madness/
Ik like your theory! Another difference between eastern and western culture might be the influence the hippie-flower power movement in the ´60s-´70s west.
I reckon this blog is one of the handful of most crucial truth-revealers around, in the Western sea of lies and deceits. Critically-important work! Don’t crack, Saker. Things will be better better soon.
La Null’s Choctipot-junta in Kiev is doomed. And as you say, neither the Beltway Bozos nor their underlings in Europe have any stomach for a fight with a real opponent. Furthermore, the US military chieftains – the sane ones, anyway – understand that there is no chance of them winning, in any conceivable meaning of the word, such a fight with Russia. They can’t even defeat much smaller opponents like the Pashtuns, and they know it. I believe that they have been saying this, more and more forcefully in private, to the civilian Bozos in Washington. All any of them can do, in essence, is to bloviate bombastically, to no material effect.
Keep sluggin’ Saker! Many thanks for your courageous, principled volunteer work!
@ colinjames,
I think that what we witness here is one of those ‘watershed moments’ in history.
USA/Israel had become complacent after having gotten away with so much evil, death and destruction over the past 6/7 decades, that they didn’t even think their color-coded plan could go wrong [prime access to Crimea, cut off Russian direct access to the Mediterranean, etc.].
Let it be noted that the same individuals who prefer color coded terror warnings can’t help themselves [happens when you’re soooooo smart] and their zest for rainbows always shines through.
A relatively small group of brave men and women show the rest of the world [most of us], that you can pick up a weapon and fight evil. That is the lesson I see simmering throughout this conflict.
We are being had every ff-ing single day. They lie to us, they steel from us [wages/taxes/etc] and they send us to our death to fight wars for access to minerals, oil and every other resources they have trained their greedy sight/eyes on.
That’s why they’re so desperate to disarm us [as they have already done in Europe and Asia].
The only thing I have is a katana [samurai sword], because I can legally own one [with a special license], but that’s a weapon I can only use when I can look my opponent in the eye.
Strelkov has done a stellar job in readying these men and women and turn them into a fighting machine that has me constant in awe.
I’ve stopped reading MSM garbage and all the lies to try to shove down the public’s collective throat.
DC is one ff-ing cesspool filled with millionaires that line their pockets and those of their friends. Lobbyists [bribers, actually] roam freely through the hallways of congress to grease the well-oiled tit-for-tat machinery [I pay you, you vote for that bill and that one and the other one].
The time for pitchforks is way behind us. But do we have the guts to bring back the fight to those who really deserve it?
May all the victims [somehow] R.I.P.
Due to the time difference my day starts with the only German MSM media that allows comments now – because there are some commentators who speak Russian and Ukrainian and who do tell what is really going on -, with Ria Novosti and the Russian and Novorussians news blogs that have English translation – and then I have to wait for you to wake up ;o)..
Dear Saker, I too had to go through difficult times with my children. One day, while driving to some talk with again another teacher, I suddenly had the certainity that also this difficult period will be over one day. I do not know where this sudden inspiration came from – you know about my atheistic inclination – but it always helped me afterwards during hard times. My son, which was the most difficult one of the two, is now a nice young man who will make his way.
Thank you for your wonderful work and God bless you –
Best regards
Angelika from Germany
@NotsoFast
You forgot to mention zombification by flouridation and vaccination. The prior is the chief and ultimate means of turning people into passive zombies and the later degenerates people into spastics.
Saker! do not give up you are very important to spread the truth. We as you are very sad and worryied for what is going on on Novorussia so you are not alone if this might somehow could be of help for you. I guess you feel sometimes like Don Quixote fighting against the windmills (the MSM) with so much ramifications without apparently no end. You are and idelistic just like Don Quixote but you may start to need a Sancho Panza.
https://deepresource.wordpress.com/2014/08/26/merkel-chooses-russia/
Highlights from an interview Merkel gave to German television last Sunday. It is obvious she chooses Russia over Ukraine (and US by implication). Finally some sense from Germany! There is not going to be a Unitarian state, federalism is next. Merkel (and Gabriel on Saturday) just strengthened Putin’s negotiating position vis-a-vis Porky enormously. Kiev (and NATO/US/neocons) just lost the war on the diplomatic front. All Putin needs to do is make sure Donbass does not loose the war, winning not necessary, whatever winning may mean.
Kind regards,
Dutch
Hey Saker, this one’s for you. Well, it is you in a way. Enjoy.;)

Saker, you must keep up telling the truth about what is happening in the world. Our media here in Sweden are lying all the time about the events in Ukraina.

May you be carried by all the thoughts and wishes of love, courage and appreciation that we send back to you.

Excellent prose and beautiful expression. I fully agree that this is a crucial point in history, a watershed indeed.

You are tops.Sometimes reading blog at a safe distance just brings out the jester in me.Cant help it.Hope all turns for the best with your family.
Monkey and an Hyena, best of pals, were walking through the jungle when the Hyena was attacked by a vicious Lion. The Monkey escaped up a nearby tree and watched his friend the Hyena being mauled and ripped to bits.
Once the fight was over the Hyena was only just alive and turned to the Monkey and said. “Why didn’t you come and help me?” And the Monkey replied, “The way you were laughing I thought you were winning so I didn’t bother.”
