Briefing by Russian Defence Ministry
▫️The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue to conduct the special military operation.
▫️On March 18, Kinzhal aviation missile system with hypersonic ballistic missiles destroyed a large underground storage facility for missiles and aviation ammunition of Ukrainian troops in Delyatin, Ivano-Frankovsk region.
▫️Bastion coastal missile system destroyed the radio and technical reconnaissance centres of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Velikiy Dalnik and Velikodolinskoye, Odessa region.
✈️💥On the night of March 19, operational-tactical, army and UAV aviation hit 69 military assets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
💥Among them: 4 command posts, including the brigade command post in Zabuyanye, 4 anti-aircraft missile systems, of which 3 S-300 and 1 Buk-M1, 1 radar guiding and targeting station, 3 multiple launch rocket systems, 12 missile and artillery weapons depots and 43 areas of military equipment concentration.
💥In addition, air defence means of Russian Aerospace Forces shot down 12 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles in the air.
💥In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 196 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, 1,438 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 145 multiple launch rocket systems, 556 field artillery and mortars, as well as 1,237 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
An unconfirmed video showing Russian hypersonic missile “kinzhal” hitting a Ukrainian ammo depot
Of course, on the computer screen here in France I see Poroschenko interviewed to let us know the terrible truth!!!
The poorest country in Europe with such a huge military arsenal? Go & ask yourself why.
Most of the military kit was left over from the Soviet Union – the best Soviet equipment was present in Ukraine at the time of the breakup . The Ukrops sold a fair bit of it abroad to try to fund themselves but there was plenty left . Also many soviet era weapons factories in Ukraine
Luckily enough H/Q kept records of all their military factories, posts, bunkers, depots, airstrips, radars etc etc and only had to press 25 green, 33 yellow, 44 orange and 66 red buttons in the first salvo to destroy three-quarters or more of the total Ukie arsenal, plus the courageous stupid soldiers manning those facilities. All I can say is, for all the grief of the families who lost loved ones – They Never Knew What Hit Them.
Lets keep the love going, its a lot easier to destroy something than it is to make it. Weapons are no exception.
Give these knucklers some more time to get them to the theater, and if they then use them from outside of the Ukraine, you pulled the trigger first, and got fingered second.
Aslangeo, exactly! When the USSR dissolved, the Ukraine inherited enough weapons to last a couple of lifetimes..
https://youtu.be/24AuL2v1O_o
An important source of income of Ukraine is selling old and new arms to any warzone of the world.
Remember the story, when the flip flop pirates entered a ship full of T-90 and arms for Afrika, Obama had to learn, that the final destination was South Sudan (against China), so he gave his OK.
The Ukies couldn’t even keep the Kalishnikov factory in business due to the abysmal amount of fraud, waste, abuse, and corruption, and that was the Russian army buying rifles as fast as the Ukies could turn them out.
I do not for one second believe that the Ukies were able to finance all of that post-Soviet weaponry with weapons sales when they couldn’t even keep the Kalishnikov factory in business.
hamparsoum torossian: that is a valid question!
There’s a supposed video of the missile. I’m sceptical. How did it just happen to be taking a video of the sky?
https://youtu.be/GShXiH9o0ws
How come people manage to get video of meteors?
Often they point the camera at a part of the sky and leave the shutter open.
Of course, depending on the time of year, they know there will be a meteor shower.
Maybe there was more than one missile, and this was the last? Or the guy that shot it knew it was coming?
Doesn´t really matter though, Russia hopefully prevails in this, I say this as a Zone “A” resident because of the very obvious Evil of those that rule the West.
Does kinzhal fly horizontally or it drops from high altitude? If the latter it can’t be kinzhal.
Programmable flight characteristics.
Add some misleading information to keep enemy guessing and/or wrong assumptions
What I want is, some sky watchers to tell what observational satellites owned by who are overhead. (Do the Rooskies own the high ground, do the Rooskies inhibit the West from making use of space based observations?)
You would not be foolish to assume the West has overhead infrared detecting satellites covering anywhere in Russia/Ukraine 24 hours a day. In various classified work centers they absolutely would have a summary of the origin point and flight path for any of these missiles mentioned including the hypersonic, unless perhaps there was very heavy cloud cover (one presumes).
I don’t know. This doesn’t look like Mach 10 speed to me. Maybe this missile is onyx, from Bastion system. Onix has 2,5 Mach speed
Apparently it flies at 65,000 feet i.e. still in the atmosphere, but very high up.
From horizon to horizon in less than 10 seconds for something that is flying at 65,000 feet.
Someone better at math than me should be able to calculate the speed from that.
But I suspect it is many multiples of supersonic to be able to cross the sky that quickly.
The confirmed MOD video: https://t.me/mod_russia_en/273
Noble Larchmonter445,
Man, the dude whose voice was heard in the vid was beyond pissed off🤣🤣🤣
Wow, that’s an impressive speed and you can see that the condensation trail forms long after the projectile has crossed the sky. The United States has never had a war on its soil and probably, if things go the way they are, we will see one of these “Roadrunners” roaring over the Pentagon, this is my dream and fantasy, but when the dream becomes collective it can come true .
Not never…https://www.battlefields.org/learn/articles/brief-overview-war-1812
Actually one can link the US Civil War and the conspiracy that murdered Lincoln to the 1812 business. The Brits don’t like losing,.
And today? Today we have “special relationship”…Brits got lotta control right now. Some say MI6 did FDR to death…
I believe it was on RT Going Underground E 1010 that https://www.rt.com/shows/going-underground/549853-russia-ukraine-drills-tension/ Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs Deputy Chairman Vyacheslav Nikonov said that Russia does not note any difference between nazi forces of 1940’s and NATO today… So yes, Comrade, your dream of missiles on Pet-a-gone may come true.
I did not note any geographical limitation on the Policy of denazification. Last time the western forces stopped the Red Army, threatened with Abomb, and thus prevented full job.
FDR’s son-in-law, Clarence John Boettiger, thought FDR had been assassinated, and did not hesitate to tell this to the world, including to the Soviets. When FDR died, he was the publisher of the Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspaper. You will not find that assertion on Wikipedia, of course.
Heading a little off topic, please stay on topic for this article, mod
With all due respect to the mod, seeing as how this is a continuation of a centuries long conflict, and seeing as how FDR, and thus Henry Wallace, would have led us to a very different post war world, and seeing as how this present conflict is very much a continuation of WWII, it seems to me that any discussion of the British being involved in killing FDR is very much relevant. I, for one, have never heard this hypothesis before and would be keen to learn more. The fact that the British are the most hysterical ones in this entire conflict means that putting their insanity in historical context is very much on topic.
My two cents, y’all can police the discussion as you see fit, naturally.
Mod: Thank you Krungle. Interesting, yes! However if you read the original post there is no relation between this comment and that post. These discussions are best suited for the Moveable Feast Cafe.
Can anybody please tell me why Strelkov is being such a pessimist…. He has been like that from the beginning. According to him, it is as if Russia is doing nothing right. Nothing Russia does is any good for him. He also thinks the Russian delegation for negotiations will capitulate and lose all of her gains. Should we actually be taking for serious what he is saying?
Just curious.
Strelkov has not been not popular here or in many other reputable sites which follow the conflict for the last 8 years. Ignore him, or search on his name here if you must.
IntelSlav had a post about ending stage 1 and goint to stage 2.
Meaning, fewer close up troops and more technology from stand off positions
I wish Rooskies employed more observational technology assets and less running gunfight caveman fighting.
Also, more might be achieved if attention were paid to the puppeteer rather than the puppets.
Ukraine’s Fall From Grace: How a World Leading Military Industrial Power Devolved Into a Dependant on Western Aid

The Ukrainian Republic was established as a separate state in December 1991 following the disintegration of the Soviet Union, and after Russia and Kazakhstan it was the third largest of 15 Soviet successor states which was seen by many to have a promising future as a major industrial power. Under the Soviet Union, Ukraine had been one of the superpower’s most heavily industrialised regions, and the new republic not only inherited a disproportionate quantity of the Soviet conventional and nuclear arsenals including over 1000 nuclear warheads, but also a massive part of the Soviet defence sector and of its civilian technological sector. Upon its formation Ukraine had the world’s third largest nuclear arsenal, a formidable fleet of supersonic intercontinental range strategic bombers, and factories producing a wide range of advanced weapons systems. The Soviet Union’s two primary heavy battle tanks, the T-80 and T-64, which had both never been offered for export, were largely manufactured on Ukrainian territory which represented just one of several potentially lucrative world leading industries now focused on the land of a relatively small new state.

Technologies relating to intercontinental range ballistic missile engines and the Soviet space program were also highly sought after worldwide, not only by states with burgeoning missile programs such as Iran and North Korea but also by Russia itself. Ukraine in the Soviet era had also housed the world’s only shipyard outside the United States capable of building supercarriers, and was in the process of doing so when the state collapsed with nuclear powered the Ulyanovsk Class ships which displaced over 85,000 tons scrapped. Ukrainian shipyards had some of the greatest capacities in the world, with its Black Sea Shipyard alone laying down two Kuznetsov Class carriers, four Kiev Class carriers and two Moskva Class helicopter carriers among other warship types. Ukraine’s Antonov Design Bureau produced some of the most sophisticated aircraft in the world, including the world’s largest aircraft the Antonov An-225 which first flew in 1988. Numerous factories which had housed the Soviet electronics industry and built systems from ship engines to air to air missiles were also inherited by Ukraine, giving it one of the world’s foremost industrial bases particularly in the military sector.

Despite its significant potential, Ukraine’s armed forces and more generally its industrial have been in decline for three decades due largely to severe corruption and mismanagement. The country would make a number of arms sales in the 1990s and would become a leading source of low cost high end technologies for China in particular, but also reportedly for North Korea and Iran from cruise missiles and armoured warfare to air defences and space technologies. Despite significant potential to become a major long-term arms supplier for China in particular, political changes in Ukraine led it to quickly fall into the Western sphere of influence – with the Untied States exerting considerably pressure on the country not to go ahead with some of the more lucrative possible arms deals. Most notable among these was the sale of Tu-160 bombers to China, which would likely have been accompanied by contracts for modernisation and refurbishment, technology transfer contracts for associated air launched missiles, and possibly even long term support to produce similarly capable bombers in China.
The Tu-160 was widely considered the most capable bomber in the world at the time, and Western pressure on Ukraine ultimately forced Kiev to scrap its highly prized aircraft and sell a portion of them on to Russia. A similar trend could be seen in Ukrainian shipbuilding, with Western intervention causing considerable difficulties for Ukrainian efforts to sell a partially completed Kuznetsov Class carrier on to China. This forced the Chinese to purchase the ship it through a private company for just $20 million, ending prospects for lucrative technology transfers and other assistance which would have been highly beneficial to both parties.
[Demolition Ukrainian Tu-160 – a result of Western intervention to prevent sales to China]
Demolition Ukrainian Tu-160 – a result of Western intervention to prevent sales to China
Attempts to establish the country as a major producer of battle tanks would ultimately fall far short, despite pursuit of an upgraded T-80 variant under the T-84 Oplot program. Thailand would come to place an order for T-84 tanks in the early 2010s, largely in response to Western pressure not to acquire the more advanced and lower maintenance T-90 platforms from Russia, although Ukraine’s failure to meet the terms of its contract not only led the Thai Defence Ministry to end plans for future purchases – but also deterred possible future clients meaning Ukraine’s tank industry is likely to die a slow death in the coming years. Economic crisis has meant that even for domestic use, there are almost no T-84 units in service – with almost all Ukraine’s tank units relying on ageing T-64 platforms inherited from the Soviet Union with a few of the newer, but still Soviet era, T-80 platforms forming elite units. The fact that the T-64 has fared extremely poorly in combat with separatist forces in the country, despite being upgraded with the latest armour protection systems, has reflected very poorly on the Ukrainian defence sector.

Ukraine’s armed forces today have seen few improvements to their capabilities since the Soviet collapse, relying on the same fleet of Soviet built MiG-29 and Su-27 platforms which, while world leading for their time, have received relatively few upgrades relative to their counterparts in Russia, India and elsewhere. Lacking technologies from active radar guided air to air missiles to up to date sensors or electronic warfare systems, the Ukrainian Air Force today faces a massive qualitative disparity relative to Russia, or even to Belarus or Kazakhstan which have continued to cooperate with Moscow to jointly modernise their assets. The situations in the Navy and Army are little better.
[Su-27 Heavyweight Fighter ]
Su-27 Heavyweight Fighter
When the Soviet Union collapsed Ukraine boasted 176 ICBMs (130 SS-19 and 46 SS-24), 43 strategic bombers (23 Tu-95 and 20 Tu-160), 241 tactical bombers (90 Tu-16, 70 Tu-22, 81 Tu-22M), 20 ll-78 aircraft for aerial refuelling, 245 Su-24 strike fighters, 80 modernised MiG-25 heavyweight interceptors and 260 MiG-29 and Su-27 fourth generation fighters – among numerous other assets. This impressive inventory, which was paired with a similarly advanced and massive navy and ground force, placed Ukraine in a league of its own militarily, well ahead of Japan, China or any of the European powers and behind only the U.S. and Russia. The much weaker state of the country’s armed forces today, which are increasingly reliant on Western aid, have begun to consider purchases of obsolete second hand U.S. hardware and could soon rely on light Chinese trainer jets to provide the only modern aircraft in its inventory, thus bears testament to one of the most dramatic falls from grace in modern military history.
Looks like the Ukraine got suckered by the US militarily as well. The Ukraine went to buy wool …and came back shorn…

Ukraines civilian shipbuilding industry was also extremely powerful. They built 100 large fish processing vessels called ‘factory ships’ of over 100 metres length in the 1980s. During the Cold War they were heavily relied on by European fishermen, who caught the fish, handed them over to the Soviet ships who gutted the fish and prepared them then handed them back to the fishing boats ready for immediate sale in Portuguese, Spanish, British and French harbours. some of these ships continue to be in use….
Let’s hope the Pentagon is calling the shots at this moment, and not the White House. The U.S. media is already calling this action confirmation that Vlad is Mad and must be stopped at whatever cost. Instead of making the situation crystal clear to the White House, this could be interpreted by them as their excuse to escalate.
DO NOT count on the US acting sanely. Never underestimate the depths of the madness we in the West are now experiencing at the hands of the globalists. We’ve been predominately acting insane and on a cultural suicide course since Obama, at least. We are in the throes of a cultural madness/suicide. The inmates have broken free in the US and are running the asylum. Full-blown insanity prevails. Putin might literally need to save the world from annihilation.
Pray there are still some cooler heads in the US military (most of those are gone, replaced by gays, transgender, social justice warriors) who understand the consequences of the US getting any further involved in Ukraine and who have the influence to stop Biden in his tracks.
But a mad man you probably should provoke even less?!
When your cultural currency is gas lighting then it makes perfect sense to provoke a mad man since all the name calling is merely projection and used to get pity points and stir up drama. The West culture now is indistinguishable from the ‘fiction’ of ‘reality TV.
That is, you create a fictional world and in that fictional world everything is about stirring up drama and drama has no consequences other than more drama, their entire perception of escalation is skewed. They live in a world where you create drama for it’s own sake and in which that drama has perpetual motion and swirls and swirls forever without resolution. When reality intrudes in the very real and concrete form of a fist to the chin or a Khinzal missile to the front door, the shock is incomprehensible.
I am not sure these people can conceive of the reality part. Hence, the American masses are willingly signing up for nuclear war because nuclear war is merely another drama, a fiction, another part of the narrative, not an actual world end calamity. The fact is that Americans specifically (and Europe to a similar, but lesser degree due to generational memory of WWII) cannot even conceive of what it is like to be on the receiving end of the horrors they have perpetuated overseas for so long. I mean we have reboots in American culture, right? Entire movie series get rebooted. Celebrities are rebooted after being cancelled for one reason or another and get inserted back into the narrative. So nuclear war? Oh, that’s just another reboot. We’ll be fine. Let the drama continue.
So yes, the entire Putin is a madman so let’s supply weapons against him meme is yet another Western mass formation psychosis. Like if I see a guy on the street raving mad and screaming incoherent nonsense and beating up anyone who walks by, my first thought isn’t to run to the edge of the conflict and hand a weapon to the people being attacked, while calling said madman names and then hoping the madman doesn’t come after me. But this is how they’re acting. Insanity.
At the end of the day, as their world view is grounded in nihilism, there simply isn’t any pathway back to sanity. The whole thing needs to collapse and be destroyed, and only then is the spell broken. Until that moment, they’ll bark up the escalation chain until the moment that reality hits them upside the heat.
Fron the mid-1960’s on, it was possible to prove America had taken a suicidal turn, and here’s my proof.
During WW1, the US Army gave an IQ test to every draftee, across all 48 states. This testing showed two things decisively: (1) “IQ” is closely tied to the quality of the school each person attended, not their socio-economic or racial origins. White draftees from Mississippi scored significantly lower than black draftees from Minnesota or California, for example. (2) Public schools were succeeding in promoting social mobility because of this first fact. Well, there was a lot of years between 1918-1919 and the early 1960’s, when it was discovered that race and socio-economic backgrounds were now very determinant of IQ, and thus of social success. What happened in those 45 or so years ? Allan Bloom, in his book, “The Closing of the American Mind”, points the finger of blame at Columbia University’s “Teachers College”. He says this college appointed itself as the vanguard for educating teachers, and setting new (different) standards of what public schools should be doing. He says there was a great watershed. Before about 1925, public schools were skills-oriented, with a focus on the content, the 3 R’s and other items. But the self-appointed experts at Columbia in New York City subverted public education, by insisting that the goal of public schools was to help students to have a better self-image, and that better self-image would lead to students doing better in school. How did that work out in practice ? Well, in the old system, if little Johnny did so poorly that he could not pass third grade, then he would have to repeat third grade until he was ready for fourth grade. The “experts” at Columbia said that was bad for little Johnny’s self-esteem and that he should automatically be passed on to fourth grade, even though he was not prepared for promotion. Hard as it may be to believe, the exhortation of this one teachers college in New York City became the norm across all public schools in the United States. This was a slow deterioration, perhaps even a slow subversion, as teachers are loathe to give up their responsibilities to a crackpot theory. But over time, this led to students doing less and less work, and learning less and less. I’ll be brief, with just one example. Until the 1960’s primary school taught math and reasoning skills by using “word problems”. “Word problems” were very real-world and required the student to think about the problem. That was thrown into the trash, in favor of “modern” versions which dumbed down the math, removed the applied part of math while keeping the abstract part, and then the abstract math was vastly simplified into memorizing a few algorithms. It was a terrible outcome. And get this: by 1965, the deterioration was widely recognized, but nothing was ever done to change it. The idea that children had to be relentlessly force-marched through the grades was never challenged. Once the main problem could not be discussed as politically incorrect, then the school reform movement could go off into any variety of dead ends. Any competent business manager could identify the problem and could figure out a solution. This was not rocket science. I’m speaking from personal experience, including one year interviewing 45 candidates for a school director circa 1997, of whom nearly half had fully qualified resumes and years of experience. I asked every one of them, “What would you do about a teacher who wasn’t good at their job ?” Their reaction was always like a “deer in headlights”. They didn’t expect the question, they had never faced that matter in previous jobs (!), but since they wanted the job, they improvised answers on the spot, answers which showed they had never considered the possibility. Please understand that I don’t tend to blame teachers. I do blame administrators, and the jive-a** people above them in the hierarchy. The higher up that hierarchy, the more stupid and unresponsive the people are.
ThIs severe deterioration affects the well-being of out own children and the competency of future workers, etc. It is a very big deal. So never dealing with it, in the 57 years since the mid-1960’s, says a lot. BTW, Alla Bloom is a right-wing conservative, the sort of person I would not have listened to, several decades earlier in my life. I read the book before I learned about his connection to Ronald Reagan. But Bloom’s facts are accurate and so is his logic. The book helped me to turn further away from leftism and to see some value in conservatives.
What really matters is not which handful of idiots started this tragedy. What matters is that America has never done anything to seriously fix it. “Suicidal” is what you have to call a society that does not provide the basis of success for its future generations.
Much of what you stated has basis in fact, but one should be careful to not downplay the origins of inequality in the United States. The fact is American culture in general is very anti-intellectual outside of the exceptional and chosen elites.
Moreover, the legacy of genocide and slavery erases any attempt to put forth America as a beacon for any developing nations to follow.
A good read on education in America is “Savage Inequalities” by Jonathan Kozol. This will put forth the built in inequality of the American educational system.
I wouldn’t take anything coming out of the US propaganda organs too seriously–they are players in a game most people do not understand unless they’ve seen it up close. Washington is a playing field factions and individual players play for advantage in the game. The outside world is used by factions to gain advantage in Washington–none of the players give a fat f*ck about either the world or the American people–only the game. Everything coming out of that milieu is always a lie because lying is to US politics what dribbling is to basketball, i.e., you can’t play effectively unless you lie and this includes the military. The difference is that it is the military (Colonels and below) that must bear the responsibility for the idiocy of Generals and the civilians (mainly neocons) who run the political system.
Therefore there is a lot of resistance inside the uniformed military to military engagements it does not believe in. This is why I continually said there was no chance whatever of a war in Iran–I knew the military opposed it and the centers of power in Washington are have been diffuse and are becoming more not less diffuse. The neocons who run US foreign policy, wanted to force Russia into a corner and deliberately provoked this war in order to use its control over the mainstream media (who are particularly ideological) to create facts on the ground to force public opinion to, in turn, force politicians to wave the bloody shirt and force the military to act. The military will not act and they can’t be forced even if given the order and the White House knows it–that’s where things stand in Washington. This is why their strategic objective is to turn Ukraine into Afghanistan in the 80’s through supplying arms, training Ukranainian fighters in camps in Poland, infiltrating US and British special ops fighters and Western funded Jihadis as well as pouring unlimited amounts of cash into that conflict. On the surface, they have a good chance of bogging down the Russians in endless police actions. This is why the US National Security State is so confident of winning the wider war.
Putin knows all this which is why he went in so gently and he will take his time to try and win over the Ukrainian people and oligarchs as much as he can. I see this operation by the Russians as very delicate and tricky and demands first-rate leadership by Russia at every level because every level of this, like a complex medical operation, must be carefully and slowly in a step by step manner be implemented. The Mighty Wurlitzer that is the Western media must be ignored–fortunately, in the US at least, our people are becoming more cynical about what we see, hear, and read in the media.
Report on Telegram:
“A high-ranking government official, head of the border service of Ukraine, Major General Sergei Deineko, on his official page promises to kill wives, parents, CHILDREN, brothers and sisters of Russian servicemen.”
Let me suggest if he isn’t needed for a trial and gallows. Turn him over to some of Kadyrov’s warriors. Let them show him up close and personal why threatening to butcher their families was a fatal mistake on his part.
Give him to the women.
“Among them: 4 command posts, including the brigade command post in Zabuyanye, 4 anti-aircraft missile systems, of which 3 S-300 and 1 Buk-M1, 1 radar guiding and targeting station, 3 multiple launch rocket systems, 12 missile and artillery weapons depots and 43 areas of military equipment concentration.”
Oh, noooo so much US taxpayers’ money gone up in smoke! What a shame. Should have used it to repair the crumbling US infrastructure, like the more than 90 dams theratening to break any day? No, that’s selfish talk…
The powers that shouldn’t be in the u.s. want to have the best infrastructure on earth. Not by building the best, but by destroying everyone else’s.
I saw this in Utube raw African American commedy. But they have an interview with somebody from the Georgian volunteer legion, who was in shock at how badly they were hit. Please watch it if you have time.

Surprised to see air defense systems destroyed. I thought they had all been destroyed long ago.
Use of Kinzhal is also meant to be a message to US/NATO not to get too uppity.
But will they listen?
Any idea on the depth of underground facility?
Kalibr Missile hit on Ukrainian military HQ… “Kalibr missile hit the military facility of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the city of Mykolaiv. The 79th Air Assault Brigade was based in the facility. The strike destroyed several buildings, the military barracks were also damaged”.

Many thanks to all of the Saker Team and the posters here exposing the truth beyond the fog of Zio-MSM’s non stop deceptions…
The MSM constantly barks about Russia being “bogged down” and other such BS. More than anything they insist that the Russian army was taken by complete surprise by the incredible strength and courage of the Ukrainian resistance. I don’t believe for a moment that the Russians expected this operation to be –another phrase they all parrot– a “picnic.”
For me it is impossible to form an opinion about the Ukrainians’ alleged will to fight to death to defend their* land because men of fighting age are prohibited (under serious pain) from leaving.
But I am open to believing that the Russians were taken by surprise by the huge size of the foreign weaponry endowment they keep having to destroy.
Put that together with the US/NATO “military advisors,” the training provided by the CIA to the Azov murderous thugs and the readily available help from the Academi boys and what you have is a de facto NATO member in all but name. No wonder the comedian feels frustrated and wrong: he gave them Ukraine to (inset verb), but no ring, and no marriage certificate.

*Large chunks of it gifted by the USSR from Russia, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania (including the Serpent Island). Incidentally, evacuating the Ukrainians from the island and occupying it was brilliant: it is at only 45 km in direct view of the US base on the Romanian shore of the Black Sea.
Hard data is difficult to come by but we do know that approx. 12-18 Ukie combat brigades were located in Eastern Ukraine at the start of the peacekeeping mission.
As of yesterday there appears to be around 5 Ukie brigades left in Eastern Ukraine
Ir you wharch videos regarding Russia-Ukraine, you’ll think Russia is being destroyed miserably.
YouTube suppressed almost all Russian or pro Russian channels.
Only anti Russian channels are reigning.
Shameful hypocrisy.
Kinzhal TNT is around 500 Kg explosion. As it’s well known fact precise direct shot of 21 kg shell of 122 mm howitzer could destroy any WW2 even heavy tanks (on deck) . But if 100 kg bomb expoaled 20 meter away from Pzkw IV that middle weight tank survived with only very minor damages. It’s physics.
When it comes to that 500 Kg TNT of Kinzhal I have no idea how concrete with steel it can penerate and destroy. Power of explosions are likely more powerful than TNT kilograms are suggesting.
PS. Isn’t peace a lovely way to live your life?
E=MC2 For Kinzhal C is Mach 10 (10000kph) For Tomahawk C is 800kph a Kinzhal with 500 kg is exponentially more destructive than tomahawk with identical payload you can use the formula to calculate how much more
Hi Frodo
You quoted the mass-energy equivalence formula. In that equation c is always the speed of light. This is not the equation you need to apply in this instance.
The equation for this situation is E=0.5m(v)^2. Here E is kinetic energy, m is mass of the object, v is velocity of the object. To find how much kinetic energy the object has you take its mass, multiply that by half (1/2 or 0.5) and multiply that by its velocity squared (in other words, the product of v multiplied by v).
You can see that velocity has a major influence. Increases in velocity increase kinetic energy exponentially (just as you mentioned).
Equivalent of Kinzhal’s kinetic energy is up to 3 tons of TNT (depending of final speed). That is 1/3 of MOAB concentrated on area off missile’s diameter (~1sq ft) ! Warhead is cherry on the top.
Should be ideal bunker buster.
MV squared..assume mass @ contact of about 700 KG @ about 10,000 feet per second. The explosive may represent about 1/2 of the released energy. see> https://www.1728.org/energy.htm Concrete under such essentially instantaneous F(i) releases a large steam explosion…so it’s a “3 tap” event. Of course if the target is also explosive…”4+ tap” then sky is limit!
That was 30 years ago.
I’m just saying – for how long can a country maintain antiquated armaments?
Hiw many s300 systems does Ukraine have? Can’t recall the exact number that have been reported as destroyed, but it has to be over 6.
Russia’s’ tolerance towards its Fifth column (mostly Jewish) must stop.
The rabidly Russophobic Echo of Moscow was finally taken off the air.
Just a few years ago, the Echo of Moscow (aka Matzo of Moscow) stepped into a huge pile of self-made bullshit when accusing Putin of attacking “Tanechka “ (Tatyana Felgenhauer). In fact, the attacker was an Israeli citizen and grandnephew of a GULAG organizer (mass murderer) Naftali Frenkel. He stabbed the Echo of Moscow editor with a knife. /bloody-monday-grandnephew-of-gulag-organizer-stabbed-the-echo-of-moscow-editor/ The zionized Wikipedia omits the name of the attacker – an Israeli citizen Boris Grits:
https://dxczjjuegupb.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/boris-grits-864x400_c.jpg
The Echo of Moscow (aka Matzo of Moscow) operators have regrouped into “Living Nail” (Zhivoj Gvozd’) and published another viciously Russophobic opus, this time with a well-to-do Jew Harry Bardin, who compared the ongoing struggle for de-Nazification of Ukraine with Hitler’s attack on Ukraine in 1941.
The famed Jewish solidarity makes some Jews into amoral monsters. The Russophobia has cognitively impaired Mr. Bardin and his Jewish handlers to such an extent that they all totally forgot that the regime change in Ukraine in 2014 was organized by American Jews (ziocons) in collaboration with Ukrainian self-proclaimed neo-Nazis. That the eastern part of Ukraine has been shelled by the neo-Nazis for 8 years and that 15000 human beings of all ages died because of the shelling.
Mr. Bardin is also enamored with Mr. Zelensky (another Jew, this one of homoerotic persuasion). Some relevant information for the Jewish Fifth Column in Russia:
1. Mr. Zelnisly came to power on a promise to fulfill Minsk I and Minsk II, which would immediately stop the murder of Russian-speaking federalists in eastern Ukraine by the self-proclaimed neo-Nazis of the Azov battalion. Zelensky has betrayed his electorate and refused to sign the agreements. Hence the ongoing war.
2. Zelensky election campaign was financed by Mr. Kolomojsky, a president of the Jewish Community of Ukraine, who has also founded and financed the self-proclaimed neo-Nazis of the Azov battalion (plus other paramilitary neo-Nazis formations Dnepro I and Dnipro II). A Jew Kolomojsky (he also has Israeli citizenship) has been financing Nazism in Ukraine, but the Russophobic Jewish Fifth Column in Russia prefers not to notice. Anything goes when it is” good for Jews.”
3. The Jewish Fifth Column in Russia loves, loves Israel, and totally supports the “most moral IDF” when Israeli soldiers are murdering women and children on the Israel-occupied territories. But the same Jews have been slandering Russia when Russian soldiers struggle against murderous neo-Nazis in Ukraine. The same Jews in Russia do not want to relocate to Israel because “there are too many Jews” in Israel. They stay in Russia and slander and stab Russia and Russian people with their habitual disloyalty. Go to Israel, Fifth Column! You have already betrayed the memory of victims of WWII by siding with Ukrainian neo-Nazis. Enough of your nails into the body of Christian Russia already.
Thanks Anna for bringing this up. The hatred of Russia is not new among Russian Jews. The psychology of this phenomenon is described by Alexander Solshenitsyn in “200 years together”.
Kolomoyskij is mentioned in the German Wikipedia under this link in 2015 see below! Also Achmetov and Poroshenko, Timoshenko. For German proficient readers very much recommended. Elsewhere I have read that Kolomoyskij lives in Switzerland, as he also holds the Swiss passport, and of course Ukrainian and Israeli. I don’t know if he also holds the Russian passport. It is possible. https://www.welt.de/print/die_welt/wirtschaft/article131474811/Der-kalte-Krieg-der-Oligarchen.html
Saker,
Saw this in a telegram channel, but I don’t speak Russian…maybe you’d be interested in watching it?

It could be kinzhal on the video. But there is no hit. That explosive sound comes probably from the sonic boom
From Intel Slava Z:

More and more details on the results of the strike on a military base near Lviv
According to radio interception, losses among foreign mercenaries and special forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as a result of a strike on a base near Lvov have already amounted to at least 267
According to 50-year-old Peter from Austria, who was a member of the “International Legion of Ukraine”, on the basis of the Yavoriv training ground, at the time of the strike of the Russian Aerospace Forces there were from 800 to a thousand foreigners.
The wounded are still being taken out – about 450/300 have been evacuated to Poland.
Many have burns to their faces and bodies, and some have their limbs torn off.
The number of missing people, who are under the rubble of the corps, in which there were American, Romanian and Polish mercenaries, is not yet completely known.
Arms deliveries worth $400 million have been completely destroyed.
Among the dead are a large number of officers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and former NATO officers.
The authorities of Ukraine and the United States carefully hide the real scale of the losses, secretly raking up the consequences of a successful attack by the Russian Armed Forces.
After the incident, the enthusiasm of mercenaries from all over the world noticeably faded.
An Austrian mercenary said this about the strike on the Yavorovsky training ground: “These people will all die, no one will get out of here alive!”
“…result of a strike on a base near Lvov have already amounted to at least 267”
And it will continue to rise for weeks. Absolute everyone in that base was exposed to multiple shockwaves of variable strength. Internal bleeding, neural damage, not to mention psychological trauma. Human body can resist damage only that much, before gives up. Thats why death toll will only rise.
Those close to impact was shred to pieces. Those further are shaken to the bone – literaly. None of survivors will have painless and happy life. Ever.
War is not video game. There’s no respawn point, nor regeneration potions.
I saw this earlier, but it just did not add up. It seems like a combination of things that has happened instead of one event. The Lvov strike from last week that killed mercenaries, the missile strike yesterday that hit an underground ammo, and equipment facility, in the Delyatin, Ivano-Frankivsk Region. And also the military base strike in Mykolaiv home of the 79th Air Assault Brigade, which is also from yesterday, that killed more than 100 men and injured many more.
Assuming that the loud bang was the sonic boom, this projectile was surely supersonic but far from hypersonic. My estimation for the speed is cc Mach 2.5-3. So this is most likely something else. Kalibr is said to be capable of terminal supersonic flight with this speed so if I had to bet on it I would say Kalibr in terminal flight. My estimation for the flight height is 1-1.5 km.
@nyolci
How you estimated height/speed from video recording?
Observe the altitude angle of the object when the sonic boom hits. If θ is the angle relative to zenith, then tan(θ) is the speed in Mach numbers.
@Petri Krohn
I see… thank you.
So… 4.5 sec to “boom” means ~1.5km height and 70°-80° from zenith gives 2.7-5.6 Mach.
Could be Kinzhal.
Yes, something like this.
The actual process I followed: you watch the aircraft. You note the point when the aircraft is the closest to you. This is point A in direction A. You watch further. When the shock wave hits you you’re watching point B in direction B. You turn 90 degrees to the left. You get the point and direction where the aircraft was when it emitted the shock wave (point C and direction C). Please make a drawing :) Of course you can’t turn your head, this is all virtual…
The difference in degrees between directions A and C is the half angle of the mach cone. The time difference the aircraft spent traveling between points A and B is cc 5 secs, and between C and B is cc 6 secs. So it took the sound wave to reach you from point C 6 secs, ie. the distance was 6c (c is the speed of sound). Distance between points C and A is v*1sec (v: speed of the aircraft).
In other words,
sin(halfangle) = 1/Machnumber = c/v
But in this case
c/v = 1v/6c
So…
6c^2 = v^2
v = sqrt(6)*c
Of course these numbers are rough estimations but the “6” in the above equation may not be much more than 6, maybe 7.5 at the most, and the distance of the aircraft from you at point A is 5*c, cc 1.5 km. The height is evidently lower but again, these numbers are rough estimations.
Probably P-800 Oniks missile from Bastion.
It wasn’t the sonic boom but the actual inpact.
Supersonic cruise missile won’t glow, that thing was glowing white from the atmospheric plasma around it.
These went Mach 10+.
You can compare the speed my watching videos of terminal phase ICBMs shortly before impact during weapons tests.
They look a bit slower than this…
Impossible. The impact point must be kilometres away according to the video. The sound of impact needs more than 3 secs to travel 1 km, so even if we can see the impact, we can’t hear it since the video is cut almost immediately after we hear the boom. Furthermore, the cameraman turns 90 degrees to the left when hearing the boom, evidently, he heard the sound from that direction, and this is what you would expect for a sonic boom in this situation.
The second boom cc 1 sec later is not the impact either but it may be a reflected shock wave from something cc 300 meters away.
I came across this shocking Time Magazine cover from 1995, celebrating the death and submission of Serbians:

Being a Serb myself i have seen worst then this.
Thats how West won informational war. Silencing opposition is more important than own narrative.
That is how Russia will win. By “silencing” opposition militarily. Will winners of informational war celebrate victory after that? I don’t think so.
Here are some special features of Kinzhal.
And US is trying something new as well.
https://greatgameindia.com/switchblades-drone-ukraine/
Oh boy … I picked this up earlier but had no real source. This is now from RT and I quote a little longer than usual as many people just cannot see the site.
That is not a missile hitting anything. That is the launch and few seconds of solid rocket booster, You hear the sonic boom coming back from pushing through the sound barrier, then the camera pans back to where the missile was fired from. You can see the puff of launch smoke.
Apologies if this has already been posted elsewhere; there’s just too much here for me to digest anymore.
