In the context of China’s webinar on 14 December 2020, on the topic of “China’s New Development Paradigm and High-Quality Belt and Road Cooperation”, organized by the China Center for Contemporary World Studies, International Department of CPC Central Committee and the Chongyang Institute for Financial Studies, Renmin University of China, my presentation was on China’s Economy of Peace.
—–
China, about a decade ago, has deliberately embarked on an Economy of Peace. A strategy that China pursues, unimpressed by constant aggressions from the west, which are mostly led by the United States. Is it perhaps this Chinese steadfast, non-aggressive way of constant forward-creation and embracing more and more allies on her way – that has made China such a success story? Overcoming violence by non-violence is engrained in 5000 years of Chinese history.
Despite relentlessly repeated assertions by the west, China’s objective is not to conquer the world or to “replace” the United States as the new empire. Quite to the contrary. The alliance China-Russia and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is seeking a multipolar world, with more justice for all – i. e. fairer trade in the sense of “win-win”, where all parties are benefitting equally. This is also a policy pursued by the recently signed Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, or RCEP, the 15-country trade agreement signed at the 37th ASEAN Summit – 11 November 2020, in Vietnam, as well as by President Xi’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), launched in 2013 by the President himself.
China does not coerce cooperation – but offers peaceful cooperation. In 2014, Mr. Xi traveled to Germany to offer Madame Merkel for Germany to become – at that time – the western most link to the BRI, or the New Silk Road. This would have been an opening for all of Europe. However, Madame Merkel, having to follow Washington’s mandates – did not respond positively. President Jinping returned to Beijing, no hard feelings. And China continued her persistent course of connecting the countries of our Mother Earth with transport infrastructure, inter-country industrial ventures, education and research projects, as well as cultural exchanges to enrich the world – all the while respecting individual countries’ monetary and political sovereignty.
Many country leaders from Africa and the Global South in general express openly their contentment and satisfaction to have China as a partner and for dealing with China on the basis of equals. With the west, especially the US, there is bullying and coercion, unequal contracts, and often total disrespect for legally signed contracts.
——
Meanwhile, the west lives in a permanent state of hypocrisy. It bashes China – actually without any reason, other than that the dying Anglo-Saxon-American empire mandates it to its partners, especially the European NATO allies – under threats of sanctions. Unfortunately, spineless Europe mostly complies.
Yet, having outsourced – for economic and profit reasons – most production processes to reliable, efficient and cheaper-labor China, the west depends very much on China for its supply chains. The covid-crisis, first wave, has clearly shown how dependent the west is on goods produced in China from sophisticated electronic equipment to pharmaceuticals.
As an example: About 90% or more of antibiotics or ingredients for antibiotics are Made in China. Similar percentages apply to other vital western imports. – But China does not “punish” or sanction. China creates and moves forward offering her alliance to the rest of the world.
China has also developed a new digital international Renminbi (RMB) or Yuan that may soon be rolled out for use of monetary transactions – of all kinds, including transfers, trade and even as a reserve currency. The yuan is already an ever-stronger reserve currency. This trend will be further enhanced through the RCEP and BRI.
Of course, the US is afraid that their dollar-hegemony they have built up since WWII with Fiat money backed by nothing, may suffer as international trading currency which the Anglo-American banking cartel practically imposed on the world, will come to an end; and the US-dollar’s standing as a reserve currency may rapidly decline.
And yes, the yuan will gradually replace the US dollar as reserve currency – and this – because countries’ treasurers realize that the yuan is a stable, gold-backed currency, also supported by a solid economy – the only economy of any importance in the world that will grow in the covid-year 2020, by perhaps as much as 3.5%, while western economies will falter badly. Predictions are dire for the US and Europe, between 12% (EU predictions) and up to 30% / 35% (US FED prediction).
The US dollar and its dominion over the international transfer system through SWIFT – has been used massively for sanctioning non-compliant countries, including totally illegal confiscation of assets – even countries reserve assets – case in point is Venezuela.
Escaping this coercive dollar dominion is the dream of many countries. Therefore, trading, investing and dealing with the Chinese currency, will be a welcome opportunity for many sovereign nations.

China’s economic achievements and forward-looking perspectives may be summarized in two major events or global programs, the just signed free trade agreement with 14 countries – the 10 ASEAN countries, plus Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand, altogether, including China 15 countries. The so-called Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, or RCEP, was in negotiations during eight years – and achieved to pull together a group of countries for free trade, of some 2.2 billion people, commanding about 30% of the world’s GDP. This is a never before reached agreement in size, value and tenor.
In addition to the largest such trade agreement in human history, it also links to the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), or One Belt, One Road (OBOR), which in itself comprises already more than 130 countries and more than 30 international organizations. Also, China and Russia have a longstanding strategic partnership, containing bilateral agreements that too enter into this new trade fold – plus the countries of the Central Asia Economic Union (CAEU), consisting mostly of former Soviet Republics, are also integrated into this eastern trade block.
The myriad of agreements and sub-agreements between Asian-Pacific countries that will cooperate with RCEP, is bound together by the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), founded on 15 June 2001 in Shanghai as an intergovernmental organization, composed of China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. The SCO is little known and little talked-about in the west.
The purpose of the SCO is to ensure security and maintain stability across the vast Eurasian region, join forces to counteract emerging challenges and threats, and enhance trade, as well as cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Much of the funding for RCEP and BRI projects may come in the form of low-interest loans from China’s Asian Infrastructure and Investment Bank (AIIB) and other Chinese and participating countries’ national funding sources. In the hard times emerging from the covid crisis, many countries may need grant assistance to be able to recover as quickly as possible from their huge socioeconomic losses, created by the pandemic. In this sense, it is likely that the new Silk Road may support a special “Health Road” across the Asian Continent.
The RCEP may, as “byproduct”, integrate the huge Continent of Eurasia that spans all the way from western Europe to what is called Asia and covering the Middle East as well as North Africa, of some 55 million square kilometers (km2), and a population of about 5.4 billion people, close to 70% of the world population – See map (Wikipedia).
The crux of the RCEP agreement’s trade deals is that they will be carried out in local currencies and in yuan – no US-dollars. The RCEP is a massive instrument for dedollarizing, primarily the Asia-Pacific Region, and gradually the rest of the world.
Much of the BRI infrastructure investments, or New Silk Road, may be funded by other currencies than the US-dollar. China’s new digital Renminbi (RMB) or yuan may soon become legal tender for international payments and transfers, and will drastically reduce the use of the US-dollar.
The US-dollar is already in massive decline. When some 20-25 years ago about 90% of all worldwide held reserve-assets were denominated in US-dollars, this proportion has shrunk by today to below 60% – and keeps declining. The emerging international RMB / yuan, together with a RCEP- and BRI-strengthened Chinese economy, may further contribute to a dedollarization, as well as dehegemonization of the United States in the world. And as said before, the international digital RMB / yuan may progressively also be replacing the US-dollar, as well as euro reserves in countries’ coffers around the globe. The US-dollar may eventually return to be just a local US-currency, as it should be.
Under China’s philosophy, the unilateral world may transform into a multi-polar world. The RCEP and New Silk Road combination are rapidly pursuing this noble objective, a goal that will bring much more equilibrium into the world.
Maybe for a few years more to come, the west, led by the US – and always backed by the Pentagon and NATO, may not shy away from threatening countries participating in China’s projects, but to no avail. Under Tao philosophy, China will move forward with her partners, like steadily flowing water, constantly creating, avoiding obstacles, in pursuit of her honorable goal – a world in Peace with a bright common future.

Europe is controlled by the Jewish Communist, the Bolshevist thugs who have planned and worked for 300 years to have their agenda of world domination come to fruition. America is on the edge of being fully controlled by the Bolshevist thugs as they have stolen the votes for President Trump. He has been the only opaque window holding back the full takeover of the communists!
The pandemic has been a fraud on the world being used as the catalyst for the world domination takeover.
The entire world is in chaos in every turn as the Jewish communists and their Freemason minions worldwide are working against any free nations and the free people. The food supply is fully dominated by the Jews and the starvation of the world is on the horizon for billions!
Please, in the spirit of the erudite comments here, desist from the alt-right anti-communist bilge. No-one is buying. I only wish the Soviet Union were still alive to curtail the excesses of the “Christian” capitalist West.
Comrade Zhironovsky is open for suggestions.. He is still mad as Hell, and isn’t going to take it anymore..
And for you; read some history. China has been constantly at war with it’s neighbours. When it gains momentum, this will be extended. Wait and see.
Remember that USA used to be non interventionalist?
How the world has changed.
Everbody want to rule the world, as the song goes.
china has tried this in the past. They found that going out would ultimately contaminate their own civilization. they let their huge flotilla rot in the harbour. don’t confuse Maoist communist China with Communist China of today.
exactly Phyllis! I thought I was the only one who saw the Bolshevik connection. we are experiencing a second Bolshevik revolution taking place as we speak. I have seen no one at all speaking of it on this blog save you.
this is one we are not likely to walk away from 70 years later by its complete collapse given its advanced technological base. it has to be stopped like right now or we are toast in the west
As much as I would like to see the Western political establishment overthrown Lenin-style, it is a vacant historical comparison. There is virtually no similarity between the pre-industrial Russian situation and the post-industrial American situation.
+1 to Anubis64’s remarks
that is not is what I am talking about jurgen. I simply meant that Bolsheviks types are in the process of imposing a dictatorship on western society under cover of Covid-19…imposing controls on western society reminiscent of routine Soviet routine life under ironclad social control
also I expect to see the western elites overthrown but not by any Lenin style revolution. I anticipate popular actions around the west which would overthrow the western elites, without the traditional political parties at their helm, and taking no leading part in the revolutionary aftermath.
minority leadership/groups are the counter revolution and by now the people know this salient fact. there are no more such parties leading the people anymore anyway. they are unnecessary.
the people are faced with their needs and the essential response is simple…meet the needs of the people and the forms of organization that meets the current need is the way to go forward. it is not rocket science and the people, having overthrown the state, can create as they go, all that is essential organizationally to meet their needs going forward
America IS controlled by the ‘Bolshevist thugs’ for long, only Americans are incapable to see the elephant in the room (of the House), on the streets and in the banks, mating with the donkey.
It’s an interesting test … 1. how many countries want to embrace trade w/China but are only paying lip service to the U.S.’s attempt at isolation, 2. when will the slave revolt begin?
By slave, I mean the first U.S. vassal state that will refuse to go along with a U.S. extorted trade embargo on a Chinese product. When the U.S. ordered the entire world to stop buying Iranian oil and later even trad w/Iran, India, Japan, Taiwan, S. Korea and even Russian companies abandoned Iran. Everyone was too scared to oppose the U.S. treasury dept except for a handful of Chinese companies.
So when the U.S. escalates matters and demands a full stop on some Chinese product or Chinese transactions, who will be the first to oppose the U.S. They will have to have enough confidence that China has the power to support the slave revolt.
The antiimperial revolt has already begun: see Bolivia, Venezuela. Globally, it is a trickle, but the illusion of the American Dream has only been decidedly shattered in mid-late 2020. The more Westernized vassal nations will follow. It has only just begun. Momentum is building as successful examples like Bolivia demonstrate that (mostly) peaceful, democratic liberation is possible.
Key nations to watch, beyond the obvious color revolution targets, are Colombia, Thailand, India.
Timeline-wise, the Biden Administration will have to pull off some kind of miracle in their first 100 days. Every action will be judged harshly by the entire world, “allies” included. This is America’s last chance. An overstep, like an invasion of Iran, may trigger a global revolution as billions of people do not want to lose the prospect of a prosperous & peaceful multilateral world–the Chinese Dream, if you will, but should really be the Human Dream.
”Many country leaders from Africa and the Global South in general express openly their contentment and satisfaction to have China as a partner and for dealing with China on the basis of equals. With the west, especially the US, there is bullying and coercion, unequal contracts, and often total disrespect for legally signed contracts.”
Spot-on, and it makes appreciable sense in Africa’s case with the southern part of the continent developing strongly thanks to Chinese trade and investments while places such as Libya, Ethiopia, and Somalia are ravaged by warlords backed up by Western imperialism. And the French squeezing profits out of the Sahel by their oppressive currency regime.
”The crux of the RCEP agreement’s trade deals is that they will be carried out in local currencies and in yuan – no US-dollars. The RCEP is a massive instrument for dedollarizing, primarily the Asia-Pacific Region, and gradually the rest of the world.”
Small wonder a truly distinguished statesman such as Narendra Modi will have none of it, LOL.
”The US-dollar is already in massive decline. When some 20-25 years ago about 90% of all worldwide held reserve-assets were denominated in US-dollars, this proportion has shrunk by today to below 60% – and keeps declining.”
Really, it should be abolished not just as ”reserve currency” but as legal tender altogether.
Unlike revolutionary romantics are suggesting those most important changes are mostly tiptoeing phenomena. One day suddenly MSM pundits, those who are the last jumping to new era (whether The Beatles or New Silk Road) they suddenly will focus and understand that though Emporer still has his face mask on he does have no clothes at all. We have felt this Silk Road traffic for more than 20 years. It’s now just becoming more and more quicker. And at the end – no clever man and woman will bet the loser.
The amount of money to be saved simply from dealing country to country in local currencies will result in hundreds of billions of dollars in parasitic middleman-like costs for doing trade and exchanging currencies being eliminated. The freedom from the US dollar and all the strings and blocks associated with it will be liberating in the extreme.
I like many of Mr. Koenig’s articles but this one needs closer scrutiny in my opinion.
The BRI (Belt and Road Initiative) developed by China is a positive economic trade agreement between the principle parties without question.
See: https://www.beltroad-initiative.com/belt-and-road/
Mr. Koenig has presented a rosy picture of China as the great benefactor of all who embrace its version of a market economy. But at what cost to the sovereignty of its partners?
In the third paragraph he wrote, “Despite relentlessly repeated assertions by the west, China’s objective is not to conquer the world or to “replace” the United States as the new empire. Quite to the contrary. The alliance China-Russia and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is seeking a multipolar world, with more justice for all – i. e. fairer trade in the sense of “win-win”, where all parties are benefitting [sic] equally.” I question the clause “… more justice for all – i. e. fairer trade …” How does one define “more justice for all and fairer trade” and who sets the parameters of what that is?
His fourth paragraph reads like a Beijing press release. The last sentence quite frankly, is risible, “And China continued her persistent course of connecting the countries of our Mother Earth with transport infrastructure, inter-country industrial ventures, education and research projects, as well as cultural exchanges to enrich the world – all the while respecting individual countries’ monetary and political sovereignty.”
Really? We Americans voted in the 2020 presidential election on November 3. The Dominion voting machines had programmable code designed to flip votes in favor of Biden. Trump is at odds with China and China has come out and said they favor Biden. Listen to what Professor Di Dongsheng said at a conference in Shanghai last month
See: https://www.scmp.com/news/china/diplomacy/article/3113237/professors-claim-chinas-friends-top-influence-us-policy-goes .
How does that reconcile with Koenig’s belief that China respects America’s political sovereignty? It doesn’t. Oh and one more thing, China invested 400 million dollars in the Dominion Voting Systems Corporation through its Swiss Owned Bank, UBS Securities
(see: https://gnews.org/611488/ ).
Even a Democrat Bolshevik can connect the dots of overt subversion against the United States political system.
We must not forget the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) controls the Chinese government. It is an atheist State and discourages many of the freedoms other countries’ citizens enjoy. The CCP manages the greatest economy in the eastern hemisphere of the planet in terms of GDP due to its massive manufacturing and export capability
(see: https://www.investopedia.com/insights/worlds-top-economies/ ).
The CCP recognizes the power of international trade and it exploits it to the fullest. It has selectively allowed its people to engage in its own design of market driven capitalism. The government acts as an economic overseer of private business and participates as an entrepreneur itself through carefully planned expenditures of money from the State Treasury.
The CCP has a strong hand involving everything in the lives of the Chinese people including the labor force, which puts limits on the rights of the worker. For example, there is only one labor union allowed by the government, the ACFTU (All-China Federation of Trade Unions). The ACFTU is forbidden to collectively call for a work stoppage (i.e., strike). Union workers can have their employment terminated by their manager, which the government allows the employers to do, if they strike as an individual. The one million full time union officials are government bureaucrats who primarily work in the interest of the government and the employer, not the worker.
See: https://friendsclb.org/labor-rights-in-china . “Do Workers Have the Right to Strike?, Do Workers in China have Freedom of Association? What is the main role of China’s official trade union, the ACFTU?”
See: https://clb.org.hk/content/workers%E2%80%99-rights-and-labour-relations-china .
History has shown the more powerful a government becomes either through its economic growth or military power, it will eventually abuse that power through coercion, manipulation, imperialism and outright theft of other countries resources. China will become just as wicked as Great Britain, the European Union and the United States. It is the nature of man and the communists are no different, perhaps more so.
President Putin has a firm hand on the Russian Federation’s wheel of commerce. He can’t be fooled; the bear is very familiar with the habits of the dragon and keeps a friendly demeanor with President Xi Jinping. However “Bolshevik Joe” could care less about the security of the United States as long as he and his criminal son, Hunter and brother James Biden are able to illegally gain profits. See: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/joe-bidens-brother-james-federal-probe .
Lastly you have to ask yourself this question; how can Joe Biden be granted a National Security clearance that every President of the United States must have, with relatives who are under criminal investigation based upon strong evidence of corruption and multiple counts of malfeasance?
He can’t and that is another reason why Joe Biden cannot be the 46th President of the United States of America.
PokeTheTruth, I am always thoroughly amazed at the low knowledge level of westerners about the government of China. The CCP is the party like the democrats and the republicans. They have in the region of 91 million members, adults and youth, and is the second largest political party in the world after India. India has one bigger.
The CCP is the people, not the government. There are about 20 other parties. “The CCP has a strong hand involving everything in the lives of the Chinese people …. ” The CCP is the people.
The government is the CPC consisting of all the normal branches of government, legislative, executive, military, supervisory, judicial, and so on.
The National People’s Congress (NPC) has the Premier/President and the State Council. Under that is a bunch of Vice Premiers, five State Councilors, the Secretary-General, and something like 26 ministers and other cabinet-level department heads. Under that is all the local government. That is the government of China and in English speak, often called the Politburo.
So first, one needs to stop talking about the CCP because all the western propaganda has this wrong.
Second, some random guy from some random university talks big, and everybody gets the heeby jeebies and yells CCP. That guy is simply a lecturer that wanted to sound more important than what he is. When US political parties are fighting each other, please don’t use a random Chinese scholar that talks big. He is of no account. Of course there are many western scholars that talk equally big. You should go and read Andrei Martynov’s blog to see what the military big talk is – it’s unbelievable.
I don’t know if China will get wicked. They’ve not done it in thousands of years so history is with them. Not in the traditional silk roads and certainly at the moment they are not trying to present themselves and act like a hegemon. Countries that launched Gulf War,Kosovo War,Iraq War, Afghanistan War, participated in military operations in Libya&Syria, committed murders in Afghanistan are accusing China, which hasn’t fired a shot abroad in decades. It is actually ridiculous this China fear.
Your understanding of labor strikes is very thin. Of course there are strikes but the various trade unions belong to one major union, and the idea is to solve labor problems before a strike. The civilization is different.
Here is an overview for you: https://clb.org.hk/content/workers%E2%80%99-rights-and-labour-relations-china
This is their stance … Trump administration has repeatedly showed hostility & ambitions to contain China. Chinese people generally hold little hope that Sino-US relations will substantially improve under Biden. Surely any improvement is welcome, but people are mentally prepared for continuous tension.
It is an atheist state – actually a Confucionist state. There are however many churches and many religions. The issue there is that religion should not threaten the state. Again, different civilizationally. The collusion of Church and State currently in the US and the zionist Christians, well, I don’t think they are doing any good.
It is confusions and very poor knowledge such as this that cannot figure out really who scumbag Hunter Biden worked with, some head of some electrical company, and everybody yells CCP. Who actually do you mean of the 91 million members?
Then, you end with Joe Biden. From the Chinese perspective they are not involved if the US political mechanisms seize up into a trainwreck.
amarynth, I’m never surprised how communist propaganda can fool even open minded individuals to believe the CCP is the people and somehow distinctly different than the government that rules over them, as you wrote in the first sentence of the second paragraph.
Xi Jinping is General Secretary of the CCP. He is also the President of the PRC (People’s Republic of China), i.e., the Chief of State. If you can name one Chinese official in a non-committee leadership position who is not a member of the CCP, then I would accept your statement but the fact is you cannot because they all are members of the CCP.
Even the Constitution of China clearly states,
“The socialist system is the fundamental system of the People’s Republic of China.Leadership by the Communist Party of China is the defining feature of socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is prohibited for any organization or individual to damage the socialist system.”
See Chapter 1 General Principles, Article 1, paragraph 2
http://www.npc.gov.cn/englishnpc/constitution2019/201911/1f65146fb6104dd3a2793875d19b5b29.shtml
Therefore the CCP is the only political party in government with plenary power. To believe otherwise calls into question your understanding of China’s political organizational structure. In addition, there are not 20 non-communist parties, there are only eight legally accepted by the CCP. All others were banned because they did not embrace total submission to the CCP doctrine.
See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_political_parties_in_China .
The suggestion that for 5,000 years China had not demonstrated the same tendencies as modern countries to expand and colonize beyond their borders is simply because they had no economic or military power to do so. The CCP has been in authority since the inception of the PRC in 1949. China did not become the dominant economic power it is today until it instituted reforms to allow foreign trade and investment beginning in 1979.
Now they are a global leader in international commerce and a regional military power. They are expanding their footprint into the continent of Africa and Latin America as well. How do you think that will shake out in 20 – 30 years? I stand by my assessment in my first post, which is they will use all the same machinations the U.S. U.K. and E.U. has done in the past to dominate lesser countries fiscally, economically and militarily.
Your reference to China’s trade unions was already explained in my first post in detail and your link only confirms what I wrote. Perhaps you should read your link more carefully and you will see the 2015 Guangdong Enterprise Collective Contracts Regulations was ignored by the political parties and your link also stated, the failure of the ACFTU to stand with its members has meant that, after four decades of economic reform, the majority of China’s workers have yet to benefit from the country’s so-called “economic miracle,” while a small group of Party and business leaders has become obscenely wealthy. President Xi Jinping paid lip service to the ACFTU while he knows the CCP deliberately stifles labor reform. That is all in the link you provided.
The speaker that made the comment about China’ influence over American political VIP’s is not some “random guy” as you referred to in the sixth paragraph. Di Dongsheng is a Professor and Vice Dean of the School of International Studies at Renmin University of China. If you listened to the video he clearly said, “Biden is back! Our old game is back.” That boastful statement confirmed Joe Biden has been compromised in the past and cannot be trusted to be the Chief Executive of the United States. That is why the CCP afterwards censored the video because it is true.
See: https://www.scmp.com/news/china/diplomacy/article/3113237/professors-claim-chinas-friends-top-influence-us-policy-goes
See: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-12-10/china-censors-viral-boast-of-influence-over-wall-street-biden
Freedom of religious practice in China is permitted in the Constitution as long as it doesn’t conflict with the government’s goal of sinicization and unswerving allegiance and loyalty to the CCP. That means that deity worship cannot be permitted if the teaching of the faith puts the deity above the government. China aggressively suppresses such religious activity (see: https://www.persecution.org/2020/10/02/chinas-war-religion/ ).
China’s economic growth will slow if BRI doesn’t start to deliver meaningful results. The PLA (People’s Liberation Army) will lobby the National People’s Congress for a greater share of the GDP for research in new offensive weapons development as well as buildup of a more robust defensive posture. This is the same pattern the Pentagon follows in the U.S.
Military analysts are closely watching what is going on in the CCP and devising various strategies to counter what is seen as China exercising greater authority around the world. The bottom line is the Chinese communists have an economic plan to spread its influence to create dependencies and ultimately exercise control over lesser countries as I wrote in my first post.
Of course the CCP and the CPC are different and the functions are different.
Here is this Chinese person on twitter who explained it in simple form, specifically focusing on the system of merit in the CPC. https://twitter.com/thinking_panda/status/1305784641262026752
And then here is this student that got admitted to the CPC with not a fraction of the membership of the CCP:
https://daily.jstor.org/communist-party-of-china/
And even Wikipedia agrees with me :-)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Government_of_China
Here are the words :
The NPC (National People’s Congress) is the highest organ of state power
The CPC (Communist Party of China) and needs a whole lot of merit to get in – a must for government work
The CCP (Chinese Communist Party) that is the rank and file of +- 90 million members. Xi Jinping is the leader of the party and it is the ruling party representing the members. Xi Jingping gets his power from this rank and file of people. The CCP is the ruling party.
Why is this all important to know? So that we don’t always say the CCP is the ‘enemy’. China will dominate because of its size and its management. Will it become hegemonic? We don’t know. Whose war ships are floating about Chinese waters? And how many floats about western waters.
They are a one party state and have stated on many occasions that they will not accept a western style democracy. They state that their method of governance suits them.
You talk about military analysis? Which military analysts? China is arming – there is no question about it. So is Russia and there is no question about that either. Are they arming because they want to waste a whole lot of money, or are they arming because of continual threat? Catherine Austin Fitts just a day or so ago on one of the threads here says that if the Dollar is removed completely from its status as reserve currency, the warfare model of the west cannot continue.
I cannot worry too much about China being a possible hegemon of the future, while the current hegemon is alive and well, and sanctioning and warring all around the place.
A small quote from Michael Hudson: ““The United States is not telling China or Russia or third world countries or Europe how to get rich in the way that it did, by protective tariffs, by creating its own money and by making other countries dependent on it. The United States does not want you to be independent and self-reliant. The United States wants China to let itself become dependent on U.S. finance in order to invest in its own industry. It wants Chinese corporations to borrow from the United States, and to sell its stocks to US investors just like Khodorkovsky in Russia was trying to sell Yukos oil to Standard Oil, and essentially turn Russia’s oil reserves to U.S. investors.”
So, do we see an economy of peace today, in word and deed? Yes, we do.
Btw, if you want to read a scathing criticism of China, I mean one that stands up somewhat, here is one from Andrei Martyanov. I wanted to respond to that, because the word ‘globalism’ in my view is a dangerous one to use but alas, no time.
http://smoothiex12.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2020-11-24T20:47:00-08:00&max-results=7&start=14&by-date=false
amarynth, your opening statement reveals your ignorance about China’s government.
You wrote, “Of course the CCP and the CPC are different and the functions are different.”
The CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and the CPC (Communist Party of China) are not separate political parties; they are just two different names for the same communist party that is in control of the Chinese government. The first link you provided on the Twitter social platform even alluded to that fact. Shanghai Panda wrote, ” The ruling party in China is the CPC. In addition, there are 8 other parties. You have to join one of them. If your ideal is to become the supreme leader of China, I suggest you join the CPC. You will be one of the 90 million CPC members.”
Do you actually believe there are two different parties, each with over 90 million members? Seriously, how do you not comprehend that??

Andrei Martyanov’s article mentions the CCP using the QR Code (Quick Response Code) to track each Chinese citizen with their own personal code to prevent them from entering an area that may have an outbreak of a contagious disease such as the recent COVID-19 pandemic. President Xi Jinping suggested during a G-20 meeting the QR Code or as he called it a “health code”, should be implemented that will restrict movement of people not only between countries but within a country.
Now allow your God-given brain to extrapolate how the government can use the QR Code not just to contain the spread of a contagion but also to control individuals who politically dissent against the government. The CCP is the testing ground for restricting political opposition by claiming a person exhibits a “mental contagion” and must be prevented from traveling or even communicating with others.
You know what that’s called amarynth? That’s called political abuse of psychiatry, which the Soviet Bolsheviks used to suppress free speech.

The CCP or CPC, which ever name you prefer will be the model that will crush freedom and liberty in the west if it is not curtailed economically and if need be, militarily.
I gave my opinion as to what I believe China will evolve into in 20 – 30 years and again, I stand by it. They will fill the economic and military vacuum once the U.S. elite finish selling out America to the globalists.
The main thing is the 1.3 billion free-marketeers, including gangster
capitalists, who have no interest in political rhetoric, but simply enjoy a happy and healthy life..
There are many Buddhist Pagodas; churches & religions are irrelevant..
Atheist: more than 50%
Folk ( a combo of ancestor worship, Tao, Confucius, etc) 28%
Buddhist: 17%
Christian & Muslim: less than 5%
Jews: 0%, only here for the money
The last tranche of the village-to-city relocation is all but complete, and is where China’s limited socialism is on display: new housing, job training, and schools for all children..
Socialism is mostly absent for the 1.3 billion non-communists, who pay a 60% deductible for medical care, take out the dreaded student loans for Uni, and pay market rates for housing..
Competition for Uni acceptance is fierce; one of the most important steps in a person’s life.. The pre-entrance-exam study programs are on a Doctoral level; this for seniors in high-school !!
Cheers from Yunnan Province
Thanks for some sense Eddie. We have to maintain seeing the people as people, although different because the deafening shout from the west is China Evil. In my view, they are readying their common beliefsets for some kind of war – similar to weapons of mass destruction hoaxes.
Many pretend independent analysts are nothing more than Chinese PR mouthpieces.
Real analysts know the deal, Chinese internal demand could not replace lost external markets, therefore Chinese are in panic mode – hence the calls for more trade.
Then there is this totally twisted notion that freedom equals freedom to buy Chinese products. Everybody wants it, only America doesnt allow it. So many arent even thinking when they endlessly repeat such empty platitudes on-line.
The Chinese move to industrialize will be their Doom. Moving millions into unsustainable city life – supported by ever dwindling natural resources will lead to a mass die off – this time a good billion of them.
You really looking forward to a billion people dying off? Comments such as this should not see the light of day.
Lost external markets? What are you talking about? The balance of trade with the US has ballooned since the so-called trade war.
A Record $268 billion goods were exported November and unprecedented trade surplus—even with the US–capping a stellar recovery and keeping factories roaring during the pandemic. The highest growth rate since February 2018, when exports grew by 44.5 per cent. It appears that American farmers are more reliant on China now than ever, and vulnerable to sudden changes in Chinese buying patterns.
I cant beleive what I’m reading.
Its our corporations that moved all industry to china, under the banner of globalisation.
We in north america dont manufacture much anymore, this is what is called a trade deficit.
The chinese had no choice to industrialize, how else can one defend itself?
The western corporations gave it ALL to China, ccp did not steal or buy.
To blame the chinese for what was done by the big global corporations is intellectually dishonest!
So now, in your view, the fox is in the hen house. What you fail to understand is that the rooster opened the gate, for some shortsighted profit gain.
Its the global corps that caused this, dont blame the chinese for our own corporate greed!
Michel, I agree wholeheartedly with your thoughts.
Corporate America and the Clinton administration sold out the people when they bribed the U.S. Congress with political contributions that allowed them to move manufacturing to China to take advantage of the lower cost of labor and less regulatory oversight. In doing so it empowered the Chinese communists to spread their collectivist ideology worldwide since they now have the money earned through its massive manufacturing capability.
A global economic giant has been into put into place for corporate greed that I am afraid will metastasize into a Bolshevik leviathan to suppress the peoples’ rights to liberty, freedom and individual choice.
Hi Anon, China has the biggest reforestation and land reclamation projects in the world. Huge areas are reclaimed every year
I have only ONE correction to above… you state:
”Is it perhaps this Chinese steadfast, non-aggressive way of constant forward-creation and embracing more and more allies on her way – that has made China such a success story? Overcoming violence by non-violence is engrained in 5000 years of Chinese history.”
This is not true… as China has conquered and been conquered numerous times in the last 5000 years… if you read their history… late part of Bronze age… then the dynasties Xia, Shang, Zhou, etc.. the Quin, Han,…up to even Mao’s China… If you ask the Vietnamese, who have been at war with China many many times the last 4000 years…
His point is that, despite being the most powerful global political entity across various centuries, Chinese dynasties have never attempted world domination–that Anglo-Zionist fixation.
China discovered the Americas before Europe did, but they thankfully lacked the rapacious gene.
That will probably change. China was never a global player because it lacked organization and frameworks to become one. The main focus for it’s political elites has always been to keep it’s borders intact and hinder internal desintegration. Similar to the Russian Empire. Step by step expansion from an geographical core until the main focus becomes survival as an entity.
Even as early as in early 1980’s U.S Deep State understood their dominance depends on how to take control in Central Asia. That’s why Xinjiang, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and former Soviet Central Asian states are so vital. China controls production chains and all what Empire has now is military. Even dollar hegemony is based only on terror and fear. There is no productivity in America. They just can’t compete. How many Made in U.S.A products do you see in Europe? They disappeared even as early as in mid 1960’s. Only thing could somehow become backlash to China-Russia is west corrupting Indian government and made it China’s enemy. That however will move Pakistan and many Arab countries integrating to New Silk Road even more faster. The envy India. There are 470 million people in Central Asia and with Turkey and most Arab countries + Russia + Myamar, Vietnam etc… looking forward to New Silk Road…. we are talking about global markets of 2.4 billion people abandoning (mostly) petrodollar world. This is the Pentagon/IMF/World Bank/ Deep State nightmare.
Australia, in our present times, is slowly being sanctioned to death by China as retribution for our ‘Five Eyes’ alignment with the US death machine, the ‘Empire’. Australia, of course, squeals like an innocent piglet, but we are only a slave colony so we will be sacrificed as a ‘useful-idiot’ pawn, within the rules-based order.
Perhaps we could buy up our own gold production (2nd biggest in the world) and refuse to sell any into the bullion marketplace, but then of course we would not only be crushed by China, but also by the Empire!
From the text of the speech:
“President Jinping returned to Beijing, no hard feelings.”
Comment:
.
— “Jìnpíng” is his peresonal name, laden with symbolic worth. The name means ‘close to’ (or approaching) ‘equality’ (or balance/peace). The reference is to a 2150 year old collegtion of 2400 year old texts called “Dàtóngshū” –‘Discourse on the Great Unity’ (or Great Equality), where jínpíng is a preporatory step to achieve “Dàtóng”. Chinese charachters for his given name: 近 + 平
.
— “Xí” is the surname (family name). It means ‘to practice’ or ‘training’. The simplified character is 习,and was formerly written 習, which is still the case in Hòng Kóng. Macau and on Táiwān. It depicts the two wings of a bayby bird starting to fly out of the nest.
.
So the name is Xí Jìnpíng 习近平. Using only “Jìnpíng” smacks of familiarity bordering on contempt unless a very close friend or relative. Otherwise, write or say just Xí or Mr. Xí or use the complete name.
In the areas that have been influenced by CHinese cultiúre, the surname
In the areas that have been influenced by Chinese culture (VIet Nâm, Korea, Japan), the surname COMES FIRST!
From the US perspective, just as Russia became the bogeyman to the Dems who blamed their loss in 2016 on so-called Russian meddling, so is China the same to the Republicans. Hence, the “China virus”, China taking all our good jobs, and China being the aggressive belligerent enemy, which of course, they aren’t.
It’s hard to see how this will all play out with Biden in office instead of Trump, if that actually happens. My guess is that he will drop the sanctions on China, Iran, and maybe even Russia. At this point, though, anything is possible before January 20th so we shouldn’t get our hopes up. We do indeed live in interesting times,
Funny how that all works out, eh Tommy? Four years of non-stop Russia, Russia, Russia by the Dems and now we’ll get four more years of China, China, China from the Rethuglicans. I think in the interest of efficiency, the DC Zionist Borg should just go ahead and announce sanctions against anyone and everyone – including the American Sheeple of course – and be done with it. Then after the dollar finally collapses we can all join together and cry out in unison: “Sanction this, Zionist swine!”
The western propaganda machine is in overdrive now. It has been spewing out unfounded hate for quite a while. They always do this when they intend to target a country. China and Iran seem to be of immediate focus, even in Canada. I have heard rumors for a long time about China having hidden military in the U.S. and the coming ‘red dawn’ invasion. I keep telling people if they want to know who their real enemy is, look at who rules over them. And look in the mirror! Now we have this new, sensational rumor, set in Michigan where it is alleged the hidden Chinese military brought down a U.S. fighter jet, cutting it in half with a laser weapon. This must have come right out of Buck Rogers. It get’s better. The U.S. dropped a massive bunker buster on 50,000 Chinese troops hidden underground on land owned by Democrats! The only story that does appear to have some truth is a noticeable increase in military movements throughout the U.S.
Maybe they intend to start another war. A big one. Welcome to the new world order.
Talking about propaganda….
China has more people employed than any other nation in state sponsored propaganda. In USA Hollywood does the job for the goverment, for free.
Who doesn’t secretly wish for brand new war for Christmas? All our current wars are just so played out already! Time to head on down to our friendly war dealer and check out the latest models. All available with equally friendly financing terms, of course! From our thoughts to Santa’s ears.
For those of us of a certain vintage, the radio-telescope complex at Arecibo was a symbol of the exciting search for the extra-terrestrial civilisations. A couple of weeks ago, it simply disintegrated from neglect. Now, the Chinese have presented their own miracle and invited the world to take part in the adventure.
How things change…
