Commentary: Amazing interview, isn’t it? Read between the lines and think about it: what is Wilkerson *really* saying? He is saying that the entire US political establishment, the entire US polity, is completely controlled by, and powerless against, the Israel Lobby. Even though many politicians and government officials fully understand that the USA is headed towards a disastrous war against Iran, they are unable to do anything to prevent that outcome.
The only global superpower is headed towards a disastrous war solely because of foreign lobby has taken complete and undisrupted control over it. Absolutely amazing, IMHO.
Call it the Israel Lobby, call it the Zionist Power Configuration (ZPC), call it the Zionist Occupation Government (ZOG) or call it by some super politically correct expression (“our beloved Jewish overlords” (OBJO)?), the reality is the same: the US has lost its sovereignty and is now controlled, fully, by a foreign power, whose interests are diametrically opposed to the national interests of the USA.
How can anybody deny this now self-evident fact?

I believe the Israel Lobby was also pushing for regime change in Iraq.
@Robert: they sure did. which tells you that not only are they evil, they are also totally stupid as it was far better for Israel to have a corrupt secular tyrant like Saddam in power than the pro-Iranian Shias currently in power in Iraq.
They are also pushing for regime change in Syria hoping to weaken Hezbollah even though the Wahabis are most likely to take power if Assad is booted away from power…
Scary stuff :-(
I think the Israeli’s don’t bother much about what the regime is in this or that muslim country. They will take every opportunity to create chaos and internal strive. Anywhere. That will leave them the hegemon. And if -over time – in one of these countries a real power grows that threatens Israel, then they will await or sollicit an attack from this country, after which they will ‘defend’ themselves and occupy or destroy the ‘agressor’.
(An Iranian bomb would make this scenario more difficult.)
I feel supported in this view by two ‘documents’: the Yinon Plan and Wesley Clark’s statement about high ranking generals in the Pentagon saying: “We will ‘take out’seven countries in 5 years”, some weeks after 911.

I think Israel can take care of Wahabis given Israel’s secret alliance with Saudi Arabia which one of the Saudi royal’s daughters is actually married to an American Jewish mafia figure.
More of a concern to Israel is the possibility of jihadist groups asserting themselves around Israel’s borders that are linked to ethnic groups in the Caucasus that are not to friendly to Jews and Israelis especially Jordan the late Ibn Khattab being the best example.
Basayeav wrote a letter to Hamas in the 90’s offering to send Chechen fighters to aid the Palestinians but was rejected.
