I think this is a ploy to frighten all journalists (e.g. P. Graham), so that almost all of them would hesitate to go with any opposition armies for journalistic purposes.
And if they do join, well, they can be “terminated” with cause!

#ISIS declares “governate” in North Caucasus. #Syria & #Iraq’s war with #ISIS just officially became #Russia’s war
True! While I disagree with his opinion on ISIS.I don’t see him as a threat. All he is saying is what many others say (about the blowback). It just shows how the West is turning more and more into dictatorships.Instead of looking at what he said. And asking the question of “do our actions spur terrorism?”.The West prefers to silence those asking the question.
Perhaps they look up to democracies, but not like the US and EU which are actually not democracies — look up more to the ideal of what they say they are.
There are things that seem like they will be great when looking at in the store, and then you get them home and they turn out to be trash which doesn’t work like the ad and the picture on the box shows.
Real democracy is pretty rare and takes a fair bit of knowledge and skill to pull off. Communism is like that too — it’s a great idea but hard to do right. (And real communism IS democratic.) But then the vampires get hold of it and set up oligarchies and the necessary anarchistic (no chiefs) elements are lost.
I agree. Not only we are living behind “a new iron curtain”, where we are not told the real facts, but we cannot speak our mind on the matter because we become ” enemy simpatizer”: we are moving at rapid speed into a dictatorship.
The Islamic rebel Chechens did that years ago. This is just a repeat or reaffirmation of the claim of that. One reason Russia gives Kadyrov such support in Chechnya is because he battles those types.
Russia’s state-run gas company Gazprom says it has taken a step toward building the Turkish Stream pipeline by securing permission from Ankara to begin surveying waters of the Black Sea for the offshore leg of the project.
France pretends outrage at ‘unacceptable’ US spying after WikiLeaks claims:
France has expressed outrage at “unacceptable” US spying on its president, Francois Hollande, and his two predecessors that was detailed in leaked documents.
Mr Hollande spoke by phone with US president Barack Obama, who gave fresh assurances that spying on European leaders had ended, while France’s foreign minister summoned the US ambassador for a formal explanation. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-06-25/france-calls-us-spying-unacceptable-after-wikileaks-claims/6571532
Yes, I think the “outrage” is just for show, so as to pacify anger of French citizens. After that, it’s surveillance as usual, perhaps even more blatant, since Obama has already said “no, we did not”, and that’s the end of it..
So much for French history and civilization…
Marcus Papadopoulas sure is a good speaker. Thanks Saker for posting this…I was wondering what you found interesting in it ?
I didn’t even know about Kosovo…now its its own country ? It used to be a province of Serbia but was torn out. hmm. So who lives there now ? Bosniaks ?
Patrick Watson is a very famous writer in Alternative media..I see his name almost every day somewhere. and Nebojsa is the Serb writer that was mentioned in the Bosniak’s thread of the other day I guess. He’s very good.
But I wonder how much damage the US will be able to do before this ‘end’ comes…I wonder if the end really is in sight for the US. Now that Germany and France are becoming de-industrialized. The levels are perhaps changing just as fast as the US is going down.
And Patrick had something kind to say about Merkel..that she was cool headed…that doesn’t ring true at all for me…makes me wonder about Patrick actually. Merkel has completely sold out her country. She is an english lord in emperors clothing….I detest her.
Anyway, I know some people on this blog..commenters…think that Peter Levalle doesn’t give credit to the evil of the US..he thinks they’re just stupid…
I agree that Marcus Papadapoulas is excellent. Very articulate and very convincing.
How much will be destroyed, how many lives blown to bits, before the US runs out of steam? The latter possibility is a long time in the future. Think of Samuel. Wreaking general destruction in the course of self-annihilation. .
I, too, was surprised at the Merkel statment. Maybe Patrick thinks she is trying to do more behind the scenes. She did go to Minsk. But it all seems too tepid to be meaningful.
I am not that familiar with Patrick Watson. Will have to look for him. THe Serb was also good. Today was a good collection of speakers. Glad taht Lavelle can access them. No patsies such as the Brookings twerp of recent exposure.
Thanks to the Saker for making these programs readily available. It is incredible and worth a lot of reflection that, as Patrick noted, this type of discussion is totally LMIA in the standard American media.
Ann, I think Levalle’s job is to be slightly subtle about the evil by ridiculing the stupidities involved, knowing that the fact is that for every guy from Austin, Texas that actually shows up in the Donbass to volunteer to fight the fascists junta in Kiev, there are a million more that are scratching their heads and looking for answers, and the best approach is not to club them over the head, but trust that they will conclude that the policies of the Empire are not only evil all around Russia’s western borders, but right in their home towns in the USA as well.
Now here’s one from a guy that definitely is NOT a befuddled American just waking up: Jim Rogers (from Alabama) is supposed to have co-founded the Quantum Fund with George Soros. Before I could throw up, I read on, because of newsletter headlines regarding Russia. (Sorry subscription only, no link I can give you, I don’t believe, but I was thinking of sending the Saker my copy…….).
Financial Intelligence Report interviewer: “Russia is another investment area that you like. Most Russia-oriented ETFs have rebounded more than 20 % since the start of the year, though many are still down quite a bit more than that. A lot of foreign money flowed out of that market in the past few years as the tensions over Ukraine and Crimea heated up.”
ROGERS: First of all, the US started that whole thing, that illegal coup in Kiev. It’s pretty outrageous that we did that. We got caught. We got outsmarted. And now of course the propaganda from the US is, “Oh it’s the Russians’ fault, the Russians did it.” But the facts are, and people know it, that it was instigated by the US. Many Europeans are increasingly unhappy about the sanctions situation. Angela Merkel, for instance is under gigantic pressure from Germans to do something about the sanctions. Mercedes sells more cars in Moscow than it does in any other city in the world. So the pressure is rising to get rid of the sanctions and calm the situation down………………The Russians are adapting; they are turning towards Asia. Russia and Iran are getting closer and closer together. And all this is terrible for the US. We shot ourselves in the foot………Remember that there are huge assets in Russia, it has a convertible currency, and it’s not a big debtor nation. And the Russia stock market has been one of the best performing this year…….”
Soros is proud of “surviving” in NAZI held Hungary by helping his dad help the occupying NAZI’s in the early 40’s turn in other jews. Must be why he’s attracted to Ukraine. A lot of partners for him there. But apparently his cofounder Rogers actually has a spark of honesty. Remarkable.
And I’m not saying very many “good ole boys” ( you can’t call them “Yankees”, can you?) from Alabama are wising up. What more comes to minds is the C & W song refrain ” You’ve got to know when to hold’em, And you’ve got to know when to fold ’em”. AND “Hey, I’m placin’ some of my chips on them Russkies!”
I thought it ironic and relatively significant on several subtle levels.
We are seeing an escalation of efforts in Washington to implement as much interference with their foes (BRICS) and especially Russia and China for the simple reason that they likely have less than 2 years to accomplish any kind of global hegemony. We are watching their economy and their reserve currency dollar based empire contract more quickly day by day, and IMHO, I believe they see it too. They are on a timetable. If their advisors are communicating at all with the White House neo-con/war party, they are saying that the end game is collapse of this hegemony. What I believe the world should be worried about is the nihilistic response to this.
The latest Batchelor and Cohen podcast mentions the war footing that is being started by stationing troops right on the Russian border. That is a classic indicator that Washington sees war in its future. It should realize by now that Putin will not back down, nor would any Russian leader. The worry here is a Washington “bunker mentality” forming and a policy embraced that if it cannot dominate, it will destroy. Oh how low these creatures have sunk, if this is what is planned for us all.
a comment of the Cross-talk show above. I am in the process of reading Grzegorz Rossolnski-Liebe’s article on “The Fascist Kernel of Ukrainian Nationalism.” one point he makes is sort of echoed in the Cross talk show: The main formators of Ukrainian Nationalism insist that it succeeds by having a charismatic leader. But in Ukraine now they have no charismatic leader (as they point out). That’s why it is such a mess. the Ukrainian Fascists relied on the US for help in taking over and keep boasting about their wonderful new country (in the begging letters they send out) but all they can do is hold up Bandera. https://www.academia.edu/12951527/The_Fascist_Kernel_of_Ukrainian_Genocidal_Nationalism
It is extremely difficult to be charismatic without a good economy, unless you are Kim Jong Un. He likes to disappear once in a while – because absence makes the heart grow fonder. If you love something, let it go. Then it might come back. That’s pretty much how Russia is approaching Ukraine. Love is about letting go. The AZ empire is hanging on to Ukraine for dear life, just like in Vietnam. That’s why they will lose it.

And incredibly, probably 90% of world population still looking up to “democracies” like U.S and EU..
Thus I have not much hope for mankind….
Alan I don’t agree with you…most of the world hates the West..especially the US and England.

Good point. Stupid is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
