ISIL and other terrorist groups have been in Syria to destroy the country’s infrastructure, protect Israel’s interests and portray an ugly face of Islam.
This is all in line with the documents revealed by wired’s danger room revealing the teachings of Lt. Col. Matthew A. Dooley to senior officers of the US military. According to Dooley “Islam is the enemy and we will facilitate its self destruction”. We are now witnessing the fruits of this US policy in the rise of ISIS and the numerous other cut throat jihadi groups currently running riot in the middle east and elsewhere. From the article :
“Lt. Col. Matthew A. Dooley’s Joint Staff Forces College presentation on “A Counter-Jihad Op Design Model” (.pdf) calls for violent measures in a war against Islam. (emphasis added)
The U.S. military taught its future leaders that a “total war” against the world’s 1.4 billion Muslims would be necessary to protect America from Islamic terrorists, according to documents obtained by Danger Room. Among the options considered for that conflict: using the lessons of “Hiroshima” to wipe out whole cities at once, targeting the “civilian population wherever necessary.”
The course, first reported by Danger Room last month and held at the Defense Department’s Joint Forces Staff College, has since been canceled by the Pentagon brass. It’s only now, however, that the details of the class have come to light. Danger Room received hundreds of pages of course material and reference documents from a source familiar with the contents of the class.
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff recently ordered the entire U.S. military to scour its training material to make sure it doesn’t contain similarly hateful material, a process that is still ongoing. But the officer who delivered the lectures, Army Lt. Col. Matthew A. Dooley, still maintains his position at the Norfolk, Virginia college, pending an investigation. The commanders, lieutenant colonels, captains and colonels who sat in Dooley’s classroom, listening to the inflammatory material week after week, have now moved into higher-level assignments throughout the U.S. military.
For the better part of the last decade, a small cabal of self-anointed counterterrorism experts has been working its way through the U.S. military, intelligence and law enforcement communities, trying to convince whoever it could that America’s real terrorist enemy wasn’t al-Qaida — but the Islamic faith itself. In his course, Dooley brought in these anti-Muslim demagogues as guest lecturers. And he took their argument to its final, ugly conclusion.
“We have now come to understand that there is no such thing as ‘moderate Islam,’” Dooley noted in a a July 2011 presentation (.pdf) intentions clear. This barbaric ideology will no longer be tolerated. Islam must change or we will facilitate its self-destruction.”
Dooley could not be reached for comment. Joint Forces Staff College spokesman Steven Williams declined to discuss Dooley’s presentation or his status at the school. But when asked if Dooley was responsible for the course material, he responded, “I don’t know if I would classify him [Dooley] as responsible. That would be the commandant” of the school, Maj. Gen. Joseph Ward.
That makes the two-star general culpable for rather shocking material. In the same presentation, Dooley lays out a possible four-phase war plan to carry out a forced transformation of the Islam religion. Phase three includes possible outcomes like “Islam reduced to a cult status” and “Saudi Arabia threatened with starvation.” (It’s an especially ironic suggestion, in light of today’s news that Saudi intelligence broke up the most recent al-Qaida bombing plot.)
International laws protecting civilians in wartime are “no longer relevant,” Dooley continues. And that opens the possibility of applying “the historical precedents of Dresden, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Nagasaki” to Islam’s holiest cities, and bringing about “Mecca and Medina[‘s] destruction.”
Dooley’s ideological allies have repeatedly stated that “mainstream” Muslims are dangerous, because they’re “violent” by nature. Yet only a few of al-Qaida’s most twisted fanatics were ever caught musing about wiping out entire cities.
“Some of these actions offered for consideration here will not be seen as ‘political correct’ in the eyes of many,” Dooley adds. “Ultimately, we can do very little in the West to decide this matter, short of waging total war.”
Dooley, who has worked at the Joint Forces Staff College since August 2010, began his eight-week class with a straightforward, two-part history of Islam. It was delivered by David Fatua, a former West Point history professor. “Unfortunately, if we left it at that, you wouldn’t have the proper balance of points of view, nor would you have an accurate view of how Islam defines itself,” Dooley told his students. Over the next few weeks, he invited in a trio of guest lecturers famous for their incendiary views of Islam”.
ISIS or al-Qaeda or any of the other crazies have never once ever carried out an attack against Israel and in fact the main beneficiary of their actions is none other than the state of Israel. Anyone with even half a brain will readily acknowledge that the main victims of these takfiri scum are in fact other (genuine) muslims, it doesn’t matter whether they are Sunni or Shia ISIS slaughters them both equally while the Israelis sit back and enjoy watching their neighbours slaughtering each other with the full complicity and assistance of the corrupt house of saud who work hand in glove with the Israelis.
The full article can be read below and its well worth a read to have a peek into the twisted mind set of the “one indispensable nation” (wheres the barf bag ?).

I wonder if Dooley ever thought that if the 1.4 billion decided the US was plotting to destroy them. Then every single Muslim might target every single US citizen (anywhere and anytime) and kill them. There would be over 4 Muslims per US citizen to do the job. So should be doable. That’s “if” they realize that is a US plot. I’d suggest idiots like Dooley shut their pie-holes and stop stirring trouble. Or maybe a better idea would be for the Muslim’s to start with him on their path to enlightenment.
” I’d suggest idiots like Dooley shut their pie-holes and stop stirring trouble”.
But that’s what America does best, stir up trouble, turn neighbour against neighbour, brother against brother, and sits back chortling at the results of its handiwork.
I read a Stephen King book a few years ago called “Needful Things”, and its all about this guy called Leland Gaunt who arrives in a small town and opens up a shop called needful things. Once the shop opened it wasn’t long before the townsfolk were all at each others throats all due to the activities of the shop’s proprietor who turns out to be a demon who enjoys all the misery and carnage his actions brought to the town.
America reminds me uncannily of Leland Gaunt. ISIS, al-Qaeda, etc. are all Americas attempts to “reduce Islam to the status of a cult” like Dooley stated, a death cult, and they are succeeding in doing so because a lot of western populations now automatically associate Islam with terrorism and killing.
The logic of this video for Russia: The friend ( Israel) of my enemy ( Daesh) is my
enemy ( Israel). Sooner or later. watch your back.
“watch your back.”
It’s here already. Past winter, Israel had a campaign inviting Russians to come and visit. It was everywhere on TV. They were paying $45 to people to come and visit, and, essentially, to trap people into this bloody stabbing by pretend “Palestinians.” Now Russia has to re-act, right?

RT has just had live coverage of Putin’s announcement that bulk of Russian troops are being withdrawn from Syria but not its bases which will remain protected:

Still live now – very good interview with Ex US diplomat.
Is this again that famous “snatching defeat out of jaws of victory”?
Its previous instance made sure that – after full 2 (two) years – the fascist junta in Kiev is fully in charge of most of Ukraine. A glorious achievement.
And what is the glorious achievement this time?
In any case, expect the usual regime’s apologists again coming out of woodwork to tell us about the shrewdness and infinite wisdom of the glorious leader Kim Jong-un … … ooooops…
This is sickening, horrible evil pure and simple. The only good I can see is that evil is now so openly displayed despite the legions of liars.
Watching this video I felt a crushing heaviness of despair. In such moments I turn to the greater power of love which is also pure and simple.
I have a choice. To look away and try to hide from the pain or to look it square in the face and love it to death. In the approaching Holy Week, Jesus did precisely that.
There are folks here who seem to hate my talking about love so much. Good. Hate is much better than dull indifference. If someone hates love, that kind of love deserves hate.
My heart is contracted with fear but that’s just a phase to garner the power of release.
Thanks for being here. Our beliefs and methods are somewhat out of synch. Not so our love. If the word “love” bothers you, use a different word or no words at all.
>There are folks here who seem to hate my talking about love so much.
For me I simply wonder at how the human mind works sometimes, especially in dealing with very unpleasant truths
“I have a choice. To look away and try to hide from the pain or to look it square in the face and love it to death. In the approaching Holy Week, Jesus did precisely that.”
If ever there was a psychopath – it was Jesus.
How can you love it to death one week when you know you’ll be judging it as Hellbound the next (unless of course he wasn’t God at all)?
I see your point. Religion, biblical exegesis, politics and history is such a contradictory Gordian Knot that it’s almost impossible to unravel.
My point is that a love which is based on nature is the only sword that can cut through the knot that ties us up into knots.
No one is going to give up the net he or she has woven over the course of lifetimes and so “we struggle and we scrape with nowhere to escape.”
I can only speak from my experience of 76 years in which I’ve been ordained a priest in both old and new age religions, explored many philosophies, acquired four degrees, been a husband and parent, worked for the biggest corporations in the world on a very low level and changed so many times that my head is still spinning. This ego brag means nothing of course.
I have been reduced to a one track mind because it’s the only train of thought that I can see is going anywhere at all. I call it love which immediately is rejected or what is worse, accepted on faith.
Even among friends and relatives, I am alone which is forbidding unless I remember that the root of alone is “All One,” not in a new age escapism sense but as including the diverse world of the good, bad and beautiful.
Oh, well, so I failed once again. So what? Love stands alone and as never failed me yet. “Time will tell who has won and who has fell and who is left behind when you go your way and I go mine.”
Saker cheers to all.
Nothing, that I can tell, makes any sense so you didn’t fail at all – your explanation makes more sense than most so thanks for your reply.
“Anything the USA touches turns into Libya”—Putin
I have always felt Putin said that, while thinking of the barbaric, horrendous, un-Godly lynching/murder of Gaddafi. May Jesus Christ protect the innocent Muslims and Christians in the Middle East from the evil that has come upon them.
Pray for the innocents.

Carmel by the Sea
Thank you The Saker for posting this excellent video.
Putin orders Russia military to begin to leave Syria. Mission accomplished. Will keep and defend seaport and airbase.
Must be thinking the Syrians will have to take Raqqa by themselves.
And must be thinking the Syrians can reclaim all the rest of the ISIS territory.
It is a very unbalancing move for US and Turkey. They have no reason to do anything but accept the Assad regime or wage an all out war. Their proxy armies are broken.
Surprisingly respectful reaction in Swedish MSM:
“According to military strategy expert Stefan Ring, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin reached their target with the military intervention in Syria. Mainly it has been seen that the Assad regime may participate in the UN-led negotiations.
Military Strategic expert Stefan Ring sees several explanations for the decline of the Russian mission in Syria – economic and strategic.
– Against the background of the Russian economy in general so has this effort probably strained Defence Forces budget a lot, says Stefan ring.
At the same time, Russia could have achieved its goal of the operation.
Given Assad a place at the negotiating table
– It has created a situation where Assad participates in negotiations and where it is difficult to demand that he should step down.
The withdrawal can also affect the image of Russia, according to Stefan ring.
– It is a positive signal to the outside world. Russia has made an effort, contributed to a truce and better conditions in Syria, and then withdraws the troops can give good will.”
Most likely like 5000 special forces, trainers and artillery units will leave. S400 coverage will expand. Now more planes present than jan and same naval strength. Reduced ground units whew Syrians will take over security. Operationally there is not much difference.. Just less presence of Russians in public.. But same effective air and naval groups. 5000 Russian ground troops wont make much difference anyway.. Politically it would embarrass the US and IS backers into submission though. Mission accomplished.. ayatollah Obama must be floored..
Putin orders withdrawal of Russian military forces operating in Syria !!!!
wow, there we have to talk about…
“I consider the objectives that have been set for the Defense Ministry to be generally accomplished. That is why I order to start withdrawal of the main part of our military group from the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic starting from tomorrow,” Putin said on Monday during a meeting with Shoigu and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
This was again a big surprise move,I’m just watching the RT live on TV,there is a continuous coverage of the breaking story of the day. What will happen next ? a lot of questions and surely a lot of comments here.At the moment I have to wake up.Yesterday was an election day in Germany,it sucked me a lot of energy off with the help of the German MSM media exploding against Afd…and now this one…need a break.
I expected the MSM in Sweden would spin this decision and talk bad about Putin, but they are surprisingly “neutral”, even saying (in a rather respectful tone) that Russia has succeded in their mission.
My (maybe overly optimistic) guess is that Kerry and co are in on this (as opposed to the war faction) and that there are some “guarantees” that there will not be a stab in the back (again…)
Unfortunately Kerry can’t controll Turkey and KSA…
Any suggestion of a connection between ISIS and Israel is absolutely taboo in the MSM.
The “man on the street” will never hear the merest hint of such a relationship.
“We’re an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality”
It seems the empire is now having to stand back and watch a master of the art.
This guy should hang out a shingle as one of those dial-a-mystics.
I mean, with such a prescient call like this made after the rooskies announce they’re leaving, he’s way underpaid.
The UN special envoy for Syria says he expects the talks on Syria to result in a clear roadmap, if not an agreement, to resolve the crisis in the war-ravaged country.
Staffan de Mistura made the comments at a news conference on the UN-sponsored Syria peace talks in Geneva, Switzerland on Monday before the Syria peace talks slated to be held later in the day.
