Yesterday I had a meeting with a member of the Saker community in Titusville, just south of where I live. On the way back I drove through the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge. A heavy rain was falling and the animals of the Refuge were all “hunkering down”, including a superb Bald Eagle. I took the photo below because that eagle reminded me of how the USA, which considers the Bald Eagle as its “national bird”, is weathering the current political storm. I just want to share this photo with you.
Cheers!

Which “current political storm”?
all of thеm, vot tak, all of them…
Several years ago I was riding a bicycle through a small mountain town and spotted overhead a bald eagle trying to catch a duck. Every time the eagle got close, the duck would turn sharply and the eagle would miss her. The duck could turn tighter than the eagle could without stalling. This went on for maybe 10 attacks when finally the eagle attempted to stay with the duck in her turn. At that point the eagle lost lift, stalled and plummeted earthward. Fortunately, the eagle recovered before hitting the ground. It then abandoned the hunt and flew off.
That eagle vs duck encounter could be symbolized as usa vs the world as the usa attempts to dominate. The duck outflying the eagle is those countries managing to stay beyond pindo grasp through their own better abilities. The eagle stalling and falling in the last attempt the usa overconfidently overextending and failing dramatically and going down. Will they be able to recover and escape the big splat? And if so, will they be wise enough to drop the futile hunt and follow a different path?
great metaphor
Nice photo, Saker. US is up to it’s little suntanned belly button in turmoil and it ain’t gonna get any better in the near future. Far future, I have no idea but it surely looks like Foggy Bottom and Five Points is sinking in to madness more every day.

Great picture.
And congratulations for being able to get such a good look at this regal raptor.
As for the expression on the eagle’s face, it could be interpreted as “grim,” or “older but wiser.”
However, I don’t think the latter phrase applies. Older, yes. Wiser? Apparently not. In fact, getting stupider by the day.

What a magnificent creature. And what a shame it is associated with the degraded and depraved US.
The land of the eagle won’t be receiving a phone call from the bear today.
Mr VV Putin celebrates his 65th birthday today. Congratulations and good health.
“The list of telephone conversations for tomorrow is long. The president will be getting greetings,” Peskov said adding that he would brief the media on Putin’s contacts with foreign leaders.
He refused to disclose if a phone call request from US President Donald Trump was on the Kremlin’s list.”

poor eagle gets a bad name – damn USA – should be scorpion – actually I’ve heard that the Scorpio sign used to be seen as an eagle – and some day will be again. ?
People in the San Bernardino mountains, CA, hold a Bald Eagle count each year. Not many to count, though stable numbers. Summer 2017, FAA, the Ontario mayor and a lone Air Traffic Control Analyst teamed w\ corporate giants to reroute Ontario air traffic right over the Eagles homes. Low flying jumbo jets that rattle the ground. How’s that for respect for the bird that represents the Universe. All to save $7 million on gas. Sick country we are.
It may be apocryphal story, but they say Benjamin Franklin proposed the National Bird ought to be the Turkey, and not the Eagle, as the Eagle never did any industrious work but simply fed on animals…oh, wait, I get it! Bennie was making a joke…
Seriously, I have recently seen a pair nesting in the steel structure of a remote bridge over a western river. Felt like going to church… All the locals know about the bridge…nobody chats about it with strangers…
Seeing Eagles is nice. The Turkeys? They’re not very tasty…but there’s zillions of ’em.

Saker, thank you so much for this website and for all that you do! It is good to come back here whenever I feel confused by the massive spiritual changes going on the foundering US.
