Recently, Australia held a plebiscite for the legalisation of Gay Marriage which passed in the affirmative by a reasonable majority of the population. This article is not intended to debate the pro’s or cons of the gay marriage debate but rather, a new phenomenon we witnessed during the debate, where many large Corporations took a very public and vocal stand, supporting the Yes campaign.
Depending on your stance during the debate, you may have applauded their vocal support however, since when have Corporations taken a moral or political stance over a profitable one? Have we entered into a period of history where Corporations now see themselves as so powerful and integral to our needs that, they assume an authority to direct us on political or moral issues? Corporations exist in this world to make money and, to make as much of it as they possibly can. Societies have never relied on Corporations for guidance on any issue.
In fact, we have numerous Government Bodies created to ensure that Corporations obey accepted government guidelines and regulations because as we all know, Corporations cannot be trusted to choose what is right over what is profitable. We may well remember where this started but I wonder if anyone has envisaged, where it may end?
This is very Orwellian.
Corruption and Bribery
If giant Corporations see themselves as a bastion of wisdom and as a shining light for society, we’re heading into very dangerous waters. Especially, when the only defence we have against these growing monsters are our Governments and the regulations they create for public safety. We’ve watched consecutive western Government’s, (from numerous nations) generally be leaderless, directionless and, who consistently make integral decisions contrary to the will of the majority of the people. Governments seem easily swayed by unseen lobbyists who, are nearly always funded by big money.
As Corporations become increasingly powerful globally, it goes without saying that their influence and power increases across borders. Democracy may offer the individual a vote to elect their Government but, a hidden Corporate Oligarchy heavily influences the policies of whoever wins. We’re used to seeing retired politicians pop-up as an appointment to Corporate Boards and Semi Private Authority’s that are nothing less than, big pay days for a job well done while they were in office.
This is corruption western style. Played out in the open, in front of camera’s with shaking hands and smiling faces, everyone dressed in suits. It’s not hard to see where real political power lies.
The real danger is what lies ahead. If Governments stop being impartial in drawing up their legislation and secretly combine with Corporations with profit as their only or major goal, God help the people!
Because people will soon become the unwitting Guinea Pigs in a new Orwellian social experiment where, they will not know the dangers or even the game they’re playing, until it’s too late. Historically, Corporations have never wielded such unbridled power.
The Clinton Presidency changed significant legislation in the US allowing the amalgamation of huge corporate takeovers. That created a market dominance for these Corporations who then had fewer competitors, and watched profits and bonuses grow like they never before imagined.
Just look what’s become of what was once referred to as, The Media. The MSM is now beholden to only six Corporations. Look at what they now produce. They have raped truth, and when certain facts emerge that don’t suit their proscribed narrative, they simply refuse to report it.
All the signs are now clear that these conglomerates are desperately trying to control how and, what we think.
Information Gathering Works Both Ways
As technology has weaved its way into our lives, it’s given us options on information gathering that we could only dream about 20 years ago. So presently, we have healthy options for our News gathering. We’re not yet totally corralled by the MSM because, we have the Internet to search for differing opinions.
But because of that very clear freedom we enjoy, there’s a huge push to ‘control’ the Internet by abolishing the ‘Net Neutrality Act’. The so called impetus behind this act is to stop Fake News, (most of which coincidently, spews from the Corporate News companies but of course, that’s never mentioned).
As of last night, the Net Neutrality Act was abolished. Who do you think will control the Internet? Well, the biggest Corporations will turn the Internet into a pay to play version of what we now experience. Generating huge profits while controlling what we read, hear and see. A kind of Pay Television model. The control of your mind is big business because the profits generated will be calculable, complete and your information, will be totally controlled.
“He who Controls Information Controls Destiny” (Newman-Seinfeld)
Our modern life seems impossible to live without our dependence on Smartphones and Computers. As handy as these toys have become, the sobering fact emerged via Edward Snowden, that these technological toys are collecting a huge swathe of data on our lives. Information gathering works both ways!
The data collected is delivered to? You guessed it, some no face Corporation who sets about sorting it using special algorithms, designed to reveal information about our desires, our opinions, our families, friends, our financial state, our political affiliations, our dark side, our light side, what we buy, our likes and dislikes, just about everything there is to know about us.
We’re told that this data will be used to target specific advertising of products that will interest us.
However, a modern day Edward Bernays, could easily use that data to target us in ways that would scare the pants of us if, we realised what control they could wield. It could be used to manipulate public opinion, on any manner of issues.
If it becomes an accepted practice that Corporations are going to take stands on social issues, continually voicing opinions to try and sway our thinking, the information they hold on us could be a game changer. Used to psychologically herd us into holding certain opinions or, maybe for dividing us into different groups or even for punishment for any expression of individual choice.
The natural progression of having this power goes way beyond targeting us for advertising.
This data could be used to enslave us.
Hitlers SS could only dream about having such insight into our thinking, control of our minds and, the projection of our behaviour and actions. Much of what I’m suggesting is still somewhere into the future but not very far.
Presently, Corporate power is flexing their muscles and they’re using Government authority to enforce their will.
Governments could become the ‘Muscle’ of Corporate Greed
It’s no exaggeration to see that it won’t be very long before our Governments could take on Godlike powers over us. We’ve watched the humanistic dogma flood into our society over the past few generations without ever understanding what the effect of this would have on our societies and institutions.
The removal of God in western society, has left black holes of assumed authority where now everything is up for question. Although some of these issues can be advantageous to people, some others may lead to authoritarianism.
For example, there is a universally accepted presumption that Parents have a God given right and authority to raise their children providing, they obey the laws of the land. It has never been questioned.
However, that authority may soon be up for debate. That authority that God once held or, we accepted as God, has been disposed of into the refuse bin of modern history.
Take the issue of what’s become a policy of ‘almost’ forced vaccination of babies and young children within many western countries. Many families now find themselves on one side of the debate or the other. They’re either too busy or just confused, about the conflicting safety reports of some of these Vaccinations.
These big Pharmaceutical Corporations stand to make billions in profit each year providing, they can continue to roll out their ever increasing vaccination schedules, and Governments play the role of their enforcer. But many parents are questioning the safety and even, the necessity of some of these Vaccinations. Why does a one day old baby need a Hepatitis B injection when Hepatitis B can only be spread through sexual intercourse?
Many parents are choosing not to expose their babies to, what they see as, a very real danger to their children’s health.
Now, this is where the Government enters the argument and enforces Parents to obey the Corporate program.
In some States of the US, parents have been sent to Gaol and their children forced to be vaccinated against their will, all because parents fear that some of the vaccines may be potentially dangerous.
Some US Courts seem to believe that Corporations have more knowledge and ultimately, more authority, than parents over the health of their children.
In Australia, the Liberal Coalition Government recently imposed, what amounts to, a very hefty financial fine by refusing to pay Family Benefits Payments to parents who, refuse to vaccinate their children.
Who can blame these well meaning parents who feel they are protecting their children from what they see, as a very real danger to their children’s health?
Corruption is rampant wherever big money exists and, it’s been shown time and time again, that big money can buy the opinions of Government authorities. The irony is, that these authorities have been put in place to ensure that products or practices, are safe for the public.
Of course, Governments use the excuse of ‘safety for the masses’ to warrant their bullying and God-like encroachment over parents but, where does this end?
It is beyond the scope of this article to debate the safety or dangers of Vaccinations however, there is plenty of independent evidence that’s convincing many Parents, Researchers and Doctors that some Companies are not testing their vaccines using accepted protocols.
Also, there’s a report from a Whistle Blower within the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the US, that when certain data that didn’t suit they’re claims was uncovered, they destroyed it. (The same practice used by the Corporate Media when they don’t like certain information)
Corporations and Governments Colluding is a form of Fascism
How long before we’ll see State or Federal Governments assume absolute rights over children?
How long before we’ll see Pharmaceutical Companies claim that they care more for children than their ignorant, conspiracy deluded parents?
Maybe some of that collected personal data (mentioned earlier) could be dug out and used against them? Will anyone who refuses the Corporate/Government diktat have their data used against them to prove their unworthiness to parent a child? Unchecked by an honest representative Government, it is simply a natural progression for these Corporate giants to exert as much power as they wield, to try and control society which could lead to a form of psychological enslavement.
We’ve all heard the John Dalberg-Acton quote, “Power Corrupts and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely”.
We are living in a very fast world where technological breakthroughs are exceeding our ability to determine whether they will serve us or destroy us. We also lack genuine Leaders who have the best interests of their people at heart. The danger is now here and, it’s encroaching at a very fast pace.
Corporate greed has never been as gluttonous and as powerful as it is right now and power, breeds more power. Their tentacles now reach into all western nations and it seems, that Government Bodies who, are supposed to represent and protect us by enforcing safety standards, have been corrupted. What was once the tactics of the Tobacco Companies, to assure us that Cigarette Smoking did not cause cancer, has been used as a blueprint by other industries.
The issue of Vaccination is just one area of concern. There are many others that are appearing on the horizon that society has never had to think about or, debate before.
The long term safety of water fluoridation, the spraying of our crops by Monsanto chemicals or, the consumption of GMO foods are just a few issues that raise serious concerns for millions of people.
Instead of having a public and scientific debate to ensure safety, we instead see cover-ups, studies funded by the very Corporations who make the products or, paid experts appearing in the Media assuring us that everything is okay. Orwellian!
In the case of GMO foods, the US Senate refuses to even allow labeling of products containing GMO’s.
This is not the result of open debate or, of a Government with the safety of the people as it’s first concern. Indeed, its first concern is, ongoing profit.
When Governments collude with Corporations we have a modern form of Fascism. With the technology available today, they have the potential to control society beyond the dreams of Hitlers SS.
The unchained and unregulated Corporation is like a gigantic viral monster who has the ability to insinuate it’s will into every area of our lives. Without a genuine representative Government, this monster will become an ever growing menace that has the power and the will, to rule over us completely, and effectively enslaving us.
Vaughan Famularo: I am a 60 yr old Australian Musician, Speaker and Writer who, with his wife of 38 years has written & produced 3 albums of Original Material. I spent 10 years speaking mostly in Gaols and High Schools debating the importance of Christianity in our society. It was a hoot!
We have 4 incredibly gifted, grown up children who, we traveled around Asia & Australia with, playing music as a Family Band while they were growing up. (While we were too)
The ugly turn the world has taken inspires me to write.
Agree.
The classic example of corporations promoting the ‘issue’ was when Alan Joyce (CEO of Qantas) supported gay marriage (so he could marry his husband) and copped a pie in his face from an angry protestor who said Joyce had no right to present this view on behalf of all staff.
Corporations have already taken over government. They are certainly more powerful. Being essentially directed franchises under the control of the banking system, this should (for those who are even half-awake) come as no surprise.
I live in Croydon, Surrey. In reality Croydon is the southernmost borough of Greater London. Our population is about 400,000. Our town centre is in the process of being partially demolished and taken over by a Corporation called ‘Westfield’, founded and controlled by one Frank Lowy. Mr Lowy was the person who, in partnership with Larry Silverstein, bought The World Trade Centre, New York exactly 50 days before 9/11.
Lowy and Silverstein double-insured the WTC for multiple terrorist attacks (meaning they could claim for the same damage twice if two planes or attacks were involved) and collected $4.577 billion for WTC’s 1, 2, 4 and 5 and $861 million for WTC7. Total $ 5,438,000,000
This man is obviously a business genius … or something.
Right now also about 1000 high-density small new homes are being built close to the East Croydon railway hub. There was a public meeting to discuss the completion (480-homes) of the project about a month ago. Locals have a great many concerns about this 2030-style beehive entity. There has been no parallel development of local infrastructure (schools/health/roads etc). The last 480 flats have been built with EIGHT associated parking spaces. At the meeting there was no representative of the local Council, only PR people for the builders Menta Redruth.
Something big has changed. We are irrelevant. Held in contempt by a ruling oligarchy composed of criminals.
Unsuccessful criminals go to jail.
The successful ones own our very governments.
This cannot end well.
Not for us.
…and not for them either.
If we consider that “Mass Production” and “Robotics” are inevitable then going forward the means of production will require a massively reduced workforce. Self Drive technologies alone are estimated to reduce the workforce by 30%.
The impact if not managed will lead to crisis after crisis. For instance, a factory upgrades its plant and introduces a robotic production line, this will result in massive quantitative and qualitative increases in production but at the same time reducing the requirement for workers to be involved in the manufacturing process. This increases the profits for the owners of the “Means of Production” but decreases the ability for workers to earn income and hence survive. When this happens all manufacturing will be upgrading if for no other reason than to compete. Hence as much as half the workforce will be out of work.
What do we do in a society where the “Means of Production” is held in the hands of a very few and where more than half of everyone is unable to earn an income? We Seize The “Means of Production” When i say seize the “Means of Production” i mean everything that’s used to produce goods and services. Factories, government, businesses, etc. Seizing them means that the people take back control of them for the greater good instead of for personal gain as in capitalism.
Here in New Zealand everything that’s used to produce goods and services (GDP) is $50k per person. Every person in NZ contributes to the GDP either directly or indirectly hence every person in NZ should receive an equal share. Hence the average family of 5 could live quite comfortably with an annual income of $250k. Instead we have a new term called the “Working Poor”.
The problem of course is that the wealthy elite will create crisis after crises before we can make it a reality. And in a nutshell we get to the source of the worlds problems. The insatiable greed of the psychopaths who currently rule US. In the theoretical factory that upgrades its plant there is an alternative; the elite owners could opt to keep all employers and have them all work less for the same pay. And here we could see the beginning of citizen payments where work is shared and the profits shared.
But history tells me that the wealthy elite will insist on crisis after crisis until it is forced on them through revolution. After all they are insatiable psychopaths who can never have enough.
Technological advances may be inevitable. However, the uses to which technology is applied are not. Previous generations of social theorists were well aware of the increasing efficiencies of production. The outcome that was envisioned was quite different, though.
Increases in productivity were expected to yield a deflationary outcome. True, workers would work fewer and fewer hours per week. However, this would also result in ever falling prices until the basic necessities in life were essentially free. Increased leisure time would be the result for the worker.
This outcome did not occur since those Capital interests driving the process resisted the resulting scenario of falling profit. Production was therefore curtailed and productive assets destroyed to maintain profit.
As my father said, “If you steal a penny you are a thief, but if you steal a million pounds you are a gentleman.”
@ThereisaGod: As a British expatriate, I sympathise with the people of Croydon. I visited London recently, and it has a very sad aura; though I still came across signs of the kindly old English spirit among the people. May the spirit of Xmas inspire the British people to shake off the Mammon-worshipping demons whom we democratically elect. As in the case of Larry Silverstein 911 & Co, money corrupts, and big money corrupts absolutely. Speaking of 911, is Britain’s former prime minister, the demon-eyed TB.Liar, still Director in House of Rothschild, and still nursing his ‘modest fortune’?
I bet that if you come out of the main entrance of W Croydon station, you prefer to do your shopping by turning right. ;)
If I remember correctly, the WTCs were not fully occupied, maybe only 50%? And maybe not profitable or not making enough money…
Seems everything is called fascism these days, even gay marriage.
The truth is of course that fascism died in 1945..
Today what we have is a merger between leftism and corporations.. Pretty much every single large corporations today is run by ultra-leftists.. From google kicking employees if they say women and men are biologically different, to Facebook, twitter, YouTube all censoring conservatives and nationalist while its leaders such as the Jew Zuckerberg exposing leftist ideology on immigration, gay marriage and all of that.
It must be pretty funny for leftist today fighting the “establishment” while they are being funded by American Jewish oligarchs like George Soros
Fascism = State + Corporations?
Globalism = Leftism + corporations + State
Niki
Leftism (really liberalism) allied to corporatism is social fascism and was named that in the West as the soft compliment of armed fascism in the 1920s and 1930s by those fighting fascism.
Fascism does not equal Nazism, any more than an mouse defines mammals. An ultra-leftists is not a liberal. Terms like leftism are pretty damn useless, where does that begin and end? Being specific really helps, in fact they self label, the social fascist policy is neo-liberalism, this is embraced by neo-conservatives who are not liberal, but it is not a misnomer either.
Armed fascism wanted world power by conquest. and if you look at the long term plans of Italy (North Africa and the continent — under influence of the new Roman empire), Germany Europa to Siberia, the East to Pakistan, and the South East incorporating Turkey and much of the old Ottoman empire (as sphere of influence). Japan’s ‘cooperative’ union of Asia. Globalism was their aim because they were the corporate states ultimate outlook. That was back then.
Social fascism is the same thing, based on the ‘loyal’ opposition of liberalism, hence neo-liberalism and the fact that Neo-cons see that as also their agenda — that is the give away.
Two facets of the same historical movement. By the way it Benito Mussolini who framed the “Fascism = State + Corporations” being the more educated and intelligent of all the fascist leaders of the period he knew exactly what he was doing and said so. So the truth was that Armed Fascism died in 1945, not fascism which is the ideological and political expression of finance and corporate power.
You see I am on the extreme ‘left” (spectrums are dumb), a died in the wool, orthodox marxist, a commuinist who has been pointing this out since the late 1970s, and also much to chagrin of others as an aspect of Stalinist Russia (social fascism), where almost the entire economy was financialized through forced industrialization (collectivizing was never a real issue). Where as an organic approach (New Economic Policy) would have made a different history.
So one last note, managerialism, which infects the left and right, are the foot soldiers of social fascism, they were the rising class under Stalin, as they have been in post-war west (Orwell 1984), this is about historical forces not ideology. Years ago in the old Communist Party, I saw this then as our major problem (materialists in the leadership, and a good proportion of the membership, they mouthed the same politics (so long as you did not listen too carefully) but what they did vampire-like was suck the life out of everything. Quite a few in the leadership turned out be ASIO agents (Australia’s poor-man’s CIA).
To fight what is happening we need to really and clearly think things through, 70% of those that Soros mobilizes are on our side but are hoodwinked, we need to find and 30% that control them, part is political (listening carefully) the other part is watch the money, who control the funds, how are they used, who uses them to create power around themselves, and who sets up the ‘events’. The experts on this are amongst the 70% — talk to them.
Soros and the rest can only operate in the dark, through light on their minions and the 70% of those hoodwinked will do the rest. At times like these we need to get smarter, and realize the old ways of thinking are dead.
Mussolini did not say fascism=corporations+State.. Partly because it makes no sense if you know history and partly because well.. It is just not true.
“The quote has been widely circulated on internet forums, after being popularized by Aaron Russo’s conspiracist documentary America: Freedom to Fascism. But there is simply no evidence that Mussolini ever said this. ”
http://blog.skepticallibertarian.com/2013/02/07/fake-quote-files-mussolini-on-fascism-and-corporatism/
While I do not claim to define fascism, at minimum fascism is ultra-nationalist, authoritarian, strongly traditionalist, and identity centric. While it tolerates corporations, they are only allowed to exist as so far as they are effective tools at increasing the state power.
Today we live in a world where the corporations run the states, quite the opposite of fascism.. Russia was like this as well before Putin came. In China the State runs the corporations, this is at-least closer to fascism.
Corporations always wants pretty much the same as the leftist wants
open borders(Cheap labour)
working women(More cheap labour)
Gay marriage, LGBTQZ values(Breaks down identity and organization of society making it easier for more immigration)
Anti-Christian(Same as before, the less identity the better) anti-white(Racial/ethnic identity would end cheap labour immigration)
Anti-male(Males are the ones most likely to resist and rebel, breaking down male identity is very important)
Feminism(More cheap labour from working women), anti-family(Family is very dangerous, no families men more working women, less identity, single women vote left, married women vote conservative/nationalist)
Regarding your claim that fascist empires were globalist, not really, they were just old-school standard tribal empires, based on ethnicity, wanting to exploit the resources from other ethnic groups is not globalism, now if they wanted to mix all ethnic groups together and form a world government ruled by corporations, that would have been closer to globalism.
Andreas this is a quote from The Doctrine of Fascism by Benito Mussolini (1932):
8. Conception of a corporative state
We have constituted a Corporative and Fascist state, the state of national society, a State which concentrates, controls, harmonizes and tempers the interests of all social classes, which are thereby protected in equal measure. Whereas, during the years of demo-liberal regime, labour looked with diffidence upon the state, was, in fact, outside the State and against the state, and considered the state an enemy of every day and every hour, there is not one working Italian today who does not seek a place in his Corporation or federation, who does not wish to be a living atom of that great, immense, living organization which is the national Corporate State of Fascism. (On the Fourth Anniversary of the March on Rome, October 28, 1926, in Discorsi del 1926, Milano, Alpes, 1927, p. 340).
Corporative in this context means in the OED Based upon corporate action or organization; spec. of a state, governed by or organized into corporations representing the employers and employed of the various industries and professions. It. stato corporativo occurs 21 Apr. 1927 in Carta del lavoro §7.
The Charter of Labour Articlle 7 reads “The corporative State considers private initiative, in the field of production, as the most efficient and useful instrument of the Nation.”
Labour was disciplined by giving private interests state power over the workforce who were prferenced for work as members of fascist labour unions (article 13).
Article 6: “Legally recognized professional associations insure the legal equality between employers and workers, maintain the discipline of production and work, and promotes its perfection. Corporations constitute the unitary organizations of production and integrally represent its interests […]. Corporations are recognized legally as organs of the State […]. ”
Note how a private company is recruited into by being incorporated and given legel status by the state.
That is not what we are seeing now, the incorporation comes first and then it levy state power, but the effect is the same. Just these quotes, were found in a few minutes I don’t know how else they could be read other than “fascism=corporations+State”.
Hang on, wasn’t Fascism opposed to communism, especially considering the number of communist uprisings in Europe, and especially in Germany after 1917. Ergo those fighting Fascism in the 1920’s and 30’s had to have been communists.
Didn’t Hitler say somewhere in his book Mein Kamp (I never had the opportunity to read it) that he had studied communism and had improved on it?
You state that you are on the extreme left; I thus take it that you would be one of Frank hardy’s mates (Power without Glory) This then would explain your logic, and it is only by viewing problems from various views can a proper prospective of that problem emerge.
My view is that ‘corporations’ were invented purely to ensure ‘profits’ were protected from both the state and the worker, much like the original ‘Dutch East India Company/British East India Company and their ilk back in the 1800’s.
Andrew S MacGregor
Well Frank was actually a mate and also a supporter of NEP, and was the lover of Bukharin widow when he was living in Moscow, and yes it was a topic which we talked about (industrialization and Stalinism).
Fascism did opposes communism, and Stalin’s reliance on managers was fasciod, but the difference was that Stalin was permanently at war with the CPSU, the purges, the constant disciplining and the replacement of competent people with his picked men. The thing was that the bulk of the CPSU was working class and that formed a opposition in terms of doing things that constantly undermined management. Stalin was very much the social fascist with socialist streak.
It is a historical tension, rather than a system., and the balance was completely different in Italy, Spain, Germany and Japan, and not entirely absent from FDR, of even British Labor (hence Orwell’s warnings). Now of course with neo-liberalism the balance has changed while the form is social fascism.
Its is about relations between things, rather than definitions ideological, political or structural. The rise of managerialism, finance and corporate capital at the end of the 19th century became increasingly fascistic (social controlling) in the early 20th century and militant culminating in WWII, but not ending there, then things started to on a more social fascist form but slowly since the 1980 this has accelerated enormously until now.
The nexus between corporate/finance, government and managers has to be disrupted, and I believe that the weak spot is being overlooked — the managers; they are vulnerable and weak bully-boys that can be directly confronted. Government the big business what can we do but mill about shouting and waving our fists in the air achieving next to nothing.
If we can confront some overbearing twat, get them fired and make sure the next one known they are being watched then we make one small corner of existence better — that is something to build on.
As for the theory, its historical and relational, not definitions that x = x and never y sometime x=y sometimes x~= x like the neo-nazis who appear to tick all the right boxes as fascism, but are in reality not, they are just thugs that like fancy dress and saying crap because it makes them feel more than they are. In that case X does not equal x.
That is definitional approaches like left and right do not really work when history keeps changing the costumes on the same tired old actors.
Dealiing with the small managers I suggest now comes first, where in WWII it came after liberation.
Sorry I hope this make sense.
The only ‘small managers’ that I can think of are the parliamentarians. They are elected by their constituents to represent those constituents in Parliament, but as per normal, they first represent ‘their party’. No wonder Pauline Hanson frightened the sh*t out of them. Proper representation is totally verboten.
I used to enjoy reading Frank Hardy’s column in the Australasian Post in my younger days. He at least had an audience. These days it is extremely difficult to reach an audience. Even the ‘soapbox’ speakers died by the late 1960’s.
Do you know where Bill Shorten was when the Beaconsfield Mine Disaster occurred in Tasmania in April 2006? He was in America. Richard Pratt lent him his personal Lear Jet to fly Shorten back to Melbourne so he would arrive in Melbourne on the Friday. In other words, Bill Shorten was Richard Pratt’s man, and Pratt’s base was around Maribyrnong where Shorten stacked the local ALP branch and ousted the incumbent member, just the same as Julia Gillard and Richard Miles in Geelong, ousting the former schoolteacher, Gavin O’Connor.
At Beaconsfield, the journalist Richard Carleton died after telling Shorten he had uncovered a story that would blow the lid off the Beaconsfield mine story. Richard was just recuperating after heart-bypass surgery, but supposedly died of a heart attack. Of course nobody ever thought of cyanide poisoning did they?
The Saker did a blog on the JFK assassination, but I didn’t comment on that at the time. I had read somewhere the Khrushchev had cried when he heard of the assassination, Khrushchev would have immediately ordered a proper investigation into the Kennedy assassination, and I believe he would have found the truth of that affair. What has to be realised is that the same team that took out Kennedy had to take out Oswald. Oswald’s assassin was never Jack Ruby.
Immediately after LHO’s assassination a French journalist made certain statements to his fellow journalists, including that “I thought he was one of the detectives, you know. He had a hat and the group he was with. That’s what I remember!.” The local journalist, Bob Huffacker then reports that ‘the men’ were believed to have been ‘Secret Service’. It then becomes really interesting as Huffacker then reports that an ambulance was to take LHO to the hospital, but the vehicle that arrived was a hearse (O’Neal), and Huffacker never missed a beat continually describing the vehicle as an ambulance.
In other words, back on the 24th of November 1963, the media was in bed with the CIA.
The gunman that shot JFK from the grassy knoll was left-handed and thus Officer William Joseph Harrison. His real name was Johannes Overbeeke and was a South African, who migrated to Australia with his family after Mandela took office. His son Ben was the shooter at the Port Arthur Historic site.
The gunman that shot JFK from the Del-Tex building was supposedly Officer L Miller from the WC and he moved to Alaska. His real name was Henry Ayres who died in 2006. Ayes also played the role of Alexander Henri Legault along with Joe Vials/Ari ben Menashe of Montreal Canada, and you can see a photo of Joe/Ari outside the Texas theatre holding LHO’s shirt near the waist, whilst smoking a cigar. Just prior to shooting LHO, Joe/Ari handed his half-finished cigar for Harrison to mind for him.
It is amazing what you can work out once you get a link, and can work through the myriad of lies.
Although I understand what you mean one can only wonder at the value of using any of these terms in the modern context. Left and right are postures of governments, both types being willing puppets of the same banking tyranny.
The word ‘Fascist’ is used as a synonym for ‘evil’ rather than in any dogmatically meaningful sense.
Political language and discourse need to be be redefined using terms that are somehow inclusive of the elephant in the room that none dare mention….the finanace overlords … the banking plutocrats …. the Luciferian overpower … the warmongering Imperialist would-be New World Order.
The terms “left” and “right” should both have prefixes or suffixes that reprepesent the people who are truly in control.
Any suggestions?
Usuryleftist/Usuryrightist? Bankleft/Bankright? Lefthoors/Righthoors? Umm … not so good. Maybe someone else will come up with a good idea.
Professor Alexandreyev addresses FSB(KGB) students here (below) explaining the system under which all countries labour (a system he claims has been in place since the rise of the Amen hierarchy in Egypt about 3,400 years ago). It is stunning that this is the message being propagated by the State itself in Putin’s Russia. His analysis has the ring of truth and this is encouraging, surely. The talk is eye-opening and really worth watching:

Hey thanks for that link. I found t absolutely fascinating. thanks again
Capitalism is the roots of Fascism. For example America is a proponent of what Benito Mussolini called “Corporationism” — big corporate control of the government, which Mussolini more commonly referred to as “fascism.”
When you place your corporationism above all others your are embracing Nazism.
If for instance your president said things like “We are the exceptional people, the one indispensable nation” and you had big corporate control of the government then you are probably a Nazi state.
materialism is the root of capitalism – although materialism is also the root of bolshevism – if we all weren’t so materialistic – and by that I don’t mean just big consumers –
Materialism means that only the material world is real – atoms and so forth – that’s the thorn of our age, that is driving the global community into the abyss.
if the Spiritual world is not accepted – thought about -and reckoned with- soon – materialism will take over this planet for the next era – its been around LONG ENOUGH and we have to get back to the Spirit – Christ – God – – Angels – Archangels – Elohim – Gabriel – Michael – Raphael and of course the bad gods too such as Lucifer and Satan and Ahriman – they are there whether you believe in them or not. and nothing helps that bad gods more than people that don’t believe that nonsense –
Goethe has Mephistopheles say that the small folk who don’t believe in him – the devil – well….the devil has them by the collar –
If we ignore the hierarchies, they can only watch from a distance –
we need their help –
Sometimes it seems like the horrible aspects of our culture today – Luciferians, Satanists – they believe in these gods – for Gods they are – but the rest of us ? –
We deny the Good…the Evolutionary Spirits that have been with us since the beginning –
If we don’t enter the arena representing our Gods – they will not be able to help us – we are alone without them.
Start reading – the New Testament is a good place to start –
The Old testament is just that – OLD – now we have a NEW testament –
I would say that corporations are “leftist” or “liberal” in their domestic policies, but are imperialists or globablists when it comes to foreign policy. Either way, they don’t give a hoot for the public good; they are not pro-American in any but a flag-waving sense when it suits them. Authors like Ivan Ilych, Jerry Mander, and David Kortan have given us excellent analyses of the corporate influence on society. Corbettreport.com does a pretty good job too, I think.
At any rate, human beings are being determined by “machines”–human creations are looking like Frankenstein.
No, I’m sorry but imo you’re incorrect.
It is more than just leftists joining the club.
In fact there is little real difference with the whole left Vs right political paradigm anymore.
Here in Australia and many other countries, the political parties have virtually the same policies.
The reason? big money is buying each wing of the same bird while the media incessantly play the tune of modern and accepted political doctrine.
One criticism alone “Corporations and Governments Colluding is a form of Fascism” is not true “Corporations and Governments Colluding is Fascism”.
The word for what ewe have was coined long ago; Social Fascism, a non-militant, mostly liberal-conservative coalition that ‘peacefully’ implements the interests of corporate-finance capital. We know it best as Noe-liberalism, that here in Australia is coupled with abject subservience to the US.
I want to point out how large the fascist party is. These corporate powers would be nothing without their extensive managerial army, the willing tools that torment us from morning to night in every aspect of our lives, the spies and bullies of daily life, those that ‘f*ck everything they touch’.
Fascism is nothing unless the population is controlled in every aspect of their life, (Henry) Fordism was na early example, and people need to drop the image of of Brown Shirts, the present Neo-Nazis are not fascists, they are not connected to corporate-finance capital they are a silly and ugly cult of no-hopers. The social Fascists do take to the streets, they are for the most part nice liberal and middle class and and are organized by Soros.
In Australia the gay-marriage vote was always going to get a large majority — a mandatory poll would have been 70% in favour. That is because we really don’t give a ‘f*ck’ about what people do privately, and that the Marriage Act (1975) has nothing to do with religion anyhow — it is registration of partnership for property and custody disputes. On US instructions John Howard of Iraq War fame, changed the wording so that only male and female cohabitation would be covered. The whole debate was a distraction (and it failed).
Trivialization of politics is Fascism (social or militant), corporates want to decide all the real policies in secret, while we fight about non-existent pedophiles (the proportion has not changed since figures were kept in 1905), sexual predators (flirting is now a crime), paid and promoted terrorism (yes US and its allies, & private corporations; paid trained and unleashed ‘muslin’ terrorism, they also fund and arm the myriad of ‘rebel groups in Africa and elsewhere), smothered in debt, having all social institutions commercialized, being stigmatized for having a drink or being ‘anti-scoial’, threatened to have our children taken away on an anonymous report.
Our education system has been dismantled, in favour of doctrinal instruction, conformity, and useless debt burdened certification. If we become sick the hospital managers force the staff to be inhuman, and evasive, making many people fearful and some violent (not so long ago violence in a hospital was unknown). if you become old and even a little sick, you will lose your home, it will be made over to a private nursing home and you will be treated as a bed-unit until you die, and if you need expensive medial care it will be denied by an administrator. That is fascism, forty years in the making.
The fight is not outside corporate headquarters it is with managers, who bully and believe it is perfectly alright to do horrible things ‘if it is their job’; it is not! it is not a job to be an arse, it is not a job to harass, it is not a job to threaten people who are not assaulting anyone. It is not their right to regulate our lives, to censure our thoughts and actions even at work. People are hired to work, and if they are making things then that is it that is the only requirement that is what they are being paid for when did being employed make you a body-slave? when did being unemployed make you garbage, when is making stuff, lying, pretending, committing frauds, deception? It is not work employment just because you get paid, any more than paying a contract killer is work.
We need to become societies that make things, have leisure which we can determine how we sped it, have actual family life, enjoy products that are well made, serviceable. We don’;t need poisoned food and water, we do need real work and the people standing in our way of all these things are the servants of corporate power and there would be no corporate power without them, just as there would be no Nazi party in 1933 without the Brown Shirts.
No one should think that they have a right to be be a bully, capriciously, and belittle another citizen as their job, that is not a job of any description unless thug is now a profession. Managing is not doing anything, it is not making anything, 90% of the time it hinders making things, it must be confronted those in responsible positions who do not act responsibly should be identified and confronted. Bottom up rectification, a change of mood; the slaves need to get surly.
Sorry for the rave
GS
Don’t be sorry, I rather enjoyed reading your “rave”.
Very interesting posting, don’t apologize, quite valuable, your post: you make people think.
Ironic, since I oppose Marxism, yet you speak/wrote some undeniable truths.. when one drops the labels and resorts to logic, observation and common sense, then people’s views converge towards common truths.
Very kind replies.
RC could I put it this way, truth matters and on this any, and all, good people concur, getting at it, in bits and pieces, is found by many paths each having it weaknesses and its strengths.
To me finding some truth depends on vantage point, if that is the perspective of our species, or the ordinary people and their future, then truth is more likely encountered because the long run is critically important and all the things that look permanent are not.
If the perspective is some special interest, short term advantage, preserving a prejudice that should be dissolved, or devotion to a creed, then you get far less truth and mostly trivial. The viewpoint is limited in scope and temporary things overshadow everything else.
I am a an orthodox Marxist, but looking at many who call themselves Marxist I would echo Marx’s words when he saw the same thing “I am no Marxist”. I usually just refer to the historical method (Historical Materialism) and add in that I am a communist so no one gets confused.
Thank for the kind thoughts and yes I absolutely agree with you, a lot of garbage gets in our way and we should throw it aside.
Greg
Life is merely imitating art.
The ascendancy of corporations was brilliantly set out in the classic US 1950s novel by Pohl and Kornbluth (veterans of the NYC advertising sector) “The Space Merchants”; a stunningly prescient work.
“Corporations and Governments Colluding is a form of Fascism”
Nope, not at all, that is based on a quote circulating internet which is obviously false to anyone with any understanding of fascism.
If anything, given the current situation in the western world, it would be more fitting to say Corporations and Governments Colluding is a form of Communism, today we have leftist corporations, pretty much everyone, but lets take Facebook as an example, colluding with the state, and leftist oligarch financing leftist groups to carry out leftist agendas. Which, basically is everything bad and rotten. When you see a leftist in the street screaming kill whites gay rights! That is a man of George Soros.
“Fake quote–> “Fascism should more properly be called corporatism because it is the merger of state and corporate power.”
— Benito Mussolini <–Not True"
http://www.researchforprogress.us/topic/36/fascism-neofascism/mussolini-fake-quote/
The writer is quite correct in all respects, Fascism is already growing primarily in US, as it is there that Capitalism has reached its’ highest and final stage – Imeprialism. However, I think it is incorrect to think that the problem is “corrupton” or “greed” and that the solution can be found in changing some part of government, or particular politician, or anything else.
Think about it: any corporation exists ONLY to make profit. Any individual in a position of power in any corporation is required to do his best to make more profit, and when he does he is rewarded with more personal remuneration.
The system is the problem. And nothing will be solved by a marginal adjustment here or there. Capitalism does not recognize limits but sees them as obstacles to be overcome or evaded. If a law exists that hampers an opportunity to make more profit, it is natural for the corporation affected to attempt to change, evade or repeal it. That is a natural mechanism built into Capitalism. There are no emotions involved, such as greed. Just business.
Oh, you think politicians are corrupt? No, not really. You are simply starting from a wrong viewpoint. You assume a politician represents the people and is therefore morally and legally obliged to pursue the interests of the people. No. Most if not all politicians are first and foremost themselves Capitalists, and therefore motivated by the same pursuit of profit. Accepting a “donation” from a corporation in exchange for a favourable law or a repeal of an unfavourable one is just business. In a Capitalist system everything is commodified. Everything is for sale. It’s just business.
No, the solution will not be found on the fringes, by changing this or that law or this or that politician. The system itself is a problem.
Good article. However, it’s important to keep in mind that corporations are driven by the constant need to cut costs and increase profits. The labor value of excluded groups, such as homosexuals, can be more easily exploited by corporate firms by normalizing the status of those groups within society.
The same thing happened in an earlier generation with Feminism. Women’s labor value had traditionally accrued to her family. This represented a loss of potential profits to the corporate complex. By encouraging participation of women in the corporate workplace the labor pool is enlarged and enriched resulting in increased profitability over time through lower labor costs.
I don’t believe it makes sense to make anything more of this, such as interpreting the support for gay marriage as some vision held by corporate management to remake society for unknown reasons or for some so-called “Leftist” ideology.
Corporations are greedy by their very nature. To depend on the morality of the individuals and shareholders who run these corporations to do the moral thing is folly. Corporations show a degree of social responsibility only when doing otherwise hits their pocket. They will always defer to publicity, or government legislation.
With publicity i.e. press in their pocket, only government legislation is left to counter their greed.
This can cut two ways. Either the corporation corrupts the government, or the government “corrupts” the corporation, i.e. the government covering for the corporation to break their own laws.
Unfortunately, individuals in government can also be corrupt. Depending on how many corrupt individuals there are in government, a “critical mass” of corruption can be like a cancerous growth. Only a revolution can get rid of this cancer.
If it is impossible to have any faith in the goodwill of western governments, judging by what they get up to in the world, it is doubly impossible to do so for western corporations. Seems like both are joined at the hip by greed.
It really does not matter if its fascism, or socialism. Its the greed that matters.
The Italian term fascismo is derived from fascio meaning a bundle of rods, ultimately from the Latin word fasces. … In 1919, Mussolini founded the Fasci Italiani di Combattimento in Milan, which became the Partito Nazionale Fascista (National Fascist Party) two years later.
Fascism ended in late April 1945, when Mussolini and his mistress Clara Petacci attempted to flee to Switzerland, but both were captured by Italian communists and summarily executed by firing squad.
I thought Mussolini and his mistress (piccolo) were hung upside down at the side of the road where they had been captured.
The facts are a little different.
First Mussolini and his Mistress were executed, and after they were hanged upside down, with some others.

Let’s get a few things right! For a start both Hitler and Mussolini were considered ‘fascists’ but both men recognised God. Thus what we have today cannot be ‘fascism’ per se as modern fascism does not recognise any god but themselves. Marxism doesn’t recognise god either, and once we realise that the American Banks financed the Bolshevik revolution in Russia in 1917 and in return received the gold from the Russian banks then we must also consider that communism and capitalism are both the same coin and are godless. Feminism was established by Engels in his published works of 1864, I think it was. No matter what, the names are simply camouflage to hide the thief and robber.
The preamble within the Australian Constitution states; “Humbly relying on the blessings of Almighty God’, but in 1987 the Hawke government removed ‘God’ from the Federal government. However to remove God from ‘The Marriage Act’ in Australia required a change to the Constitution, which requires a proper referendum.
A postal vote is not a referendum. As Stalin once stated it is not who votes but rather who counts the votes that matters, and once this is realised then what we have has to be recognised as a government intrusion into the family.
When Famularo asks; “Have we entered into a period of history where Corporations now see themselves as so powerful ” we are now given the answer of “YES”. In fact the Australian government has not acted for the constituents but rather the corporations since at least 1985, and our politicians have ceded the power of the parliament to that of our governments. The reds under the beds as per the Menzies era were never in our beds but within our governments and once Maximus Fabius (Gough Whitlam) attained power in 1972 the Marxists in government became entrenched.
Famularo mentions our MSM, and then mentions democracy. Eric Blair warned us in 1948 with ‘1984’ and as for democracy, that is simply a mask hiding the truth.
Famularo asks: “How long before we’ll see State or Federal Governments assume absolute rights over children?”
Well the UN assumed that power back in the 1970’s and the Australian Federal government followed suit when they invented ‘The Child Protections Agency’. Does Famularo remember Bob Hawkes famous outburst of ‘By 1995 no child shall be living in poverty!’ so the Australian federal government made that ‘absolute’ move in 1985.
Again Famularo states; “Governments could become the ‘Muscle’ of Corporate Greed?” The tense though is wrong. It should be in the past tense!
Have you ever wondered as to why Hawke’s treasurer, Paul Keating led the move that broke the various State Banks and then sold off part of the Commonwealth Bank? Has it ever bothered you as to why Keating created the ‘Recession we had to have’ or his use of the term ‘Banana Republic’? That recession forced the mothers out of the home and into the workforce.
Did you ever ponder as to why Keating removed ‘The Basic Wage’ and introduced the American system of ‘The Minimum Wage’? Not for the domestic market, but definitely the International corporation.
And then the final move of ‘Floating the Australian Dollar’ (12.Dec.1983) which then allowed the ‘Multinational Corporations to move in just like the carpetbaggers after the American Civil War, and either buy out or destroy anything of value in Australia.
When did America declare war on Australia?
Did it ever concern you that only when the government in Australia made the moves, for the UN, against firearm owners in Australia, that Australia started suffering firearm massacres? Did you ever stop and actually think about it?
Were you aware that there were at least 32 Australian Intelligence agents and six Americans involved in the Port Arthur massacre of 1996, and of those 32 Intelligence officers, seven of them were shot when the plan went wrong? (Three in the Broad Arrow Café and the four in the BMW at the tollbooth)
Do you still honestly believe that we won WW2? We lost it!! Just the same as the English lost the Battle of the Boyne in 1690 when William used his Danish mercenaries against James’ Irish. The only ‘English’ force was the Cavalry led by John Churchill who later became the Duke of Marlborough which just may remind you of the ‘Marlborough cigarettes’.
The only winners of WW2 were the American Military Industrial corporations.
Can you remember when NASA was created? NASA was invented to compete against the USSR in the race to land a man on the moon,
It was believed that the first country to build a military base on the moon would be able to rule the world, but once Professor Van Allen demonstrated Professor Fred Singer’s theory that the earth was surrounded by magnetic fields that shielded the planet by trapping radiation from the sun, in 1959, then that race was redundant.
Russia had always been winning that race through sheer guts and determination, but once it was demonstrated that no living matter could survive the passage through the Van Allen Belts the Russians stopped but America, or to be precise NASA, the American Military Complex, has always used the moon landings to milk money from a compliant American Federal government.
So who is Netanyahu’s President Trump battling for power these days? The very same Military corporations that benefitted from WW2. As I mentioned, all of this can be traced back to at least 1690.
No offence intended but, just because ‘some group’ or ‘ism’ refuses to believe in God fails to stop God from existing and also those very people from being exposed to God 24-7.
So if God exists, we Human Beings can’t even ignore ourselves out from Gods influence.
We Humans think we are so intelligent but it just so happens that we’re soaking in it.
Ignoring that fact won’t make it all go away.
We humans did not create our world, nor our universe. Once we recognise that, then we must concede that there is a higher deity, be it called God or Mother nature, but one thing is for certain it is not the God in the Bible as those ‘scriptures’ have usurped the very meaning of God, and have perverted the history of our planet for their own means.
Does it matter if a person follows his/her own religion sect or ism? Not really as what does matter is there must be honesty, integrity with some humility.
The ‘socialist’ structures within Australia have been sold off by ‘our’ governments to the ‘Corporations’ for ‘their profits’, and that was never the intended abuse of our utilities. No Marxist, Socialist, Atheist, Christian or Muslim can argue with that, and now that these corporations believe they have the right to treat us as mere serfs, we should understand that our ‘governments’ have been turned into ‘tools’ or perhaps ‘useful idiots’ to a new type of false god. We all must now worship Mammon, and Mammon is a cruel god.
Perhaps the author could name the corporations that promoted the yes vote?
Because having just lived through the campaign, I didn’t notice any corporate input?
There are 846 Corporations that supported the gay marriage vote. That is why I didn’t list them. If you never noticed that support you weren’t paying much attention.
https://www.australianmarriageequality.org/open-letter-of-support/
Thanks for the response, you are right, I obviously wasn’t paying attention.
Thanks everyone for reading the piece and sharing your thoughts. I felt I should write something after reading all your comments.
I agree with many of you entirely, who pointed out that this is already happening! Indeed it is. Some commenters have laboriously pointed this out and how I got so many facts wrong. That’s OK, all the power to ya.
However, I tried to write this piece from a different place than a journalist would write an article. I’m not a Journalist.
I really like writing. Something unique happens. A connection is triggered within. I have always enjoyed the way The Saker writes. He uses his thoughts really well and allows you into his spirit. I like the way he employs different forms of expression in his pieces, which is very poetic.
Upon finishing this piece, I looked to where it might fit because it’s not a news article. On my Blog, I get 4 visitors a week and I thought it deserved better than that.
So, I tried to get it published here because, I felt a similar spirit of expression.
I was attempting to use language in a way that ‘woo’s and warns’ rather than an article that we might read on a News site. It came from that prophetic place within, I know this place and it usually produces something valid and worthwhile.
I steered away from facts & figures as much I could intentionally. I wanted to write something that fed the spirit rather than ticking off all these facts just for the brain.
My closest friends have pointed out to me the ‘omission of facts’ as friendly criticism. (Too much air in the sentences Vaughan)
However, I like the air, it was done this way on purpose. This is how I choose to write and I’ve allowed myself that freedom. If I write as a Journalist writes, I lose something integral to how I express myself. I lose the poetry of expression or some such?? which, I really love about writing. I’m not trying to prove I know a lot about writing either because, I’m an untrained novice. I barely passed a Year 10 English class 45 years ago.
But, I’m old enough now to have the freedom of self expression and, God gets the best out of us when we are free to be, who he made us to be.
That is one bonus of age.
So, people’s criticism of this or that may be valid from where they find themselves but I find myself in a different place.
From my viewpoint, I see that we humans are somewhat conditioned to receive information in certain formats.
Writing can be an awesome personal experience for the writer.
It’s an expression that allows me to formulate months of thoughts and, things you’ve noticed over time that seemed disconnected but, then all of a sudden, almost out of your control, everything can gush out in such a way that it surprises even you as you watch all these disconnected thoughts join up into an ‘understanding’ on paper. (I hope that makes sense) It may be a spiritual experience even?
The person writing may have motivations that are not clear to the reader even though the reader may reap the Writers intentions.
That seems to be what’s happening here a bit. Many people, (if not most of us), need certain facts, given in a certain way, to fit our worldview and in a format that we can itemise or, fact check.
We’re very organised mentally and, we seem to have a need to compartmentalise everything and then mould the information in such a way to allow it to fit into our own personal receptacle.
The arguments about whether it is or, isn’t fascism fascinated me because, even though it’s the heading and, the warning I’m making, to me, the name we care to use is totally irrelevant. I know to SOME people, it’s absolutely not irrelevant! but, what’s more important to me is, that we can all identify and share ‘what we all see happening’ in our world.
It doesn’t matter what we call it or, what title we give it. What’s important is that we can validate what we see happening and it helps us prove that we’re not alone.
So, I share this info here for you to try and elucidate where I’m coming from.
I really tried to write in a way that fed your spirit as much as your brain. I hope it did.
Dear Famularo,
Thank you very much for your writings, both the initial piece and this response. The debate it gave birth to demonstrates the number of supporters you have and the fact that they come from so many fields is again a demonstration of the positives so many of us strive for.
In November 1987, I remember debating with a friend in regard to the overpowering suppression that was taking place in Australia and trying to find a place to escape to, but the reality was there was no place to hide. Things have not got any better.
There is so much poverty in this world today, poverty not just in material possessions, but of knowledge, wisdom and understanding, of things physical and abstract, of comprehension and of logic, This is by design, it is not accidental, but what I see, especially in the former communist states is that there is an end to our serfdom, and it must come.
When a person reads and comprehends the story in Genesis 40 and then looks at the repeats in history especially in Ireland and later in Scotland, and even within England and of course Europe, one can see the connections, the deceit and manipulations over the common man, what we see is a constant repeat of Joseph in Egypt, and thus what we are witnessing today is a simple pattern of life itself, and we must battle to overcome this restraint placed upon us. At some stage we will learn to recognise this part of history and negate it.
Again Famularo, thank you for initiating this debate.
Thanks mate! As a thinking Aussie the 1st thing I realised was my isolation. I may have moved in the wrong circles but most Aussie men I’ve met are not thinkers or capable of anything close, to what we might call, expression. I read your post and believe me, I agree with you on every political topic you raised. There was only one comment whereby I couldn’t agree and, that is that (paraphrase) you don’t accept that the God of the Bible is real/relevant/the answer. (I apologise if I misunderstood your intention but that is what I gleaned from your comment)
This is probably not the forum to debate this stuff because it’s deep, spiritual and personal so, I will TRY and be brief. (Very hard for me)
But, I was always a searcher. Not a political searcher but more earthy, into music, art and expression (which is an attempt to try and understand yourself) That led me to connect to my spirit. My inner being, that place where your conscience speaks from.
In time, I was confronted with the words & teachings of Jesus. When I pondered on those words, and soaked in their meaning and applied them to my life, a transformation started talking place, both within me and from without. I eventually surrendered which brought me into a new spiritual dimension. This dimension gives a lot of explanation and meaning to words that were never there before.
You confessed a belief in a higher being, God. (for want of a better word) I always found it interesting in the Old Testament when God was asked what his name was by (somebody) and God didn’t want to be known by any name. He understood clearly what we would do with that bit of knowledge. He knew that it would limit our thinking & understanding of who he was because God is way bigger than we can even imagine.
Anyway, I’ve learned a lot thru life but I’ve still only scratched the surface. There is evil in this world. This evil uses us like pawns in a never ending game and most of us don’t even realise we’re in it. We are fulfilled with the beauty of the board or impressed by the pieces at play but, never understand the strategy.
Evil does exist and, this evil has access to our minds and, influences our actions. How can we defend against this evil? Who will defend us?
I have never accepted that Jesus came into this world to bring us more religion. In fact, I believe that Jesus’ teachings free us from religion however, Human Beings being Human Beings, are dutiful in collating do’s and don’ts and, composing formula’s to adhere to and before we know it, we turned freedom into a form of bondage. This is what we always do with freedom. We exorcise it, we try to control it, we are jealous of anyone who has more of it than us. We always destroy it.
Evil is real but I have found that the love of God is far far greater than any fear, anxiety, turmoil or depression. God has proven to be the source of my hope.
The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross of Calvary provides us with everything we need to live and survive in this world. That is my experience.
It is our key to freedom but typically, like clockwork, we watch it become relativised, we see it demeaned, we watch it become so complicated and seemingly insignificant, until we can no longer even understand it, until it becomes only another opinion from another pawn in the very game we’re all playing.
Being an Aussie, you know you can’t be preachy and I don’t like being preachy. It always sounds like you think you are superior and that is the opposite state needed in the finding the truth.
However, because of your nice and honest comments I decided to take a chance. (This will probably instigate another debate here & maybe even some attacks?) However, the God of the bible has become my understanding and light in my life and I urge you to re explore that before deducing it’s unimportance or ineffectiveness. I am not aligned to any group or church other than just people.
Because, after it’s all said and done, it’s all about people!! Thanks.
Dear Famularo,
I thank you most sincerely for you comments and thoughts.
I was raised a Presbyterian, and it was not until I was a teenager that I heard something that disturbed me. It was in regard to the teachings of Calvin and usury.
Calvin taught that there were only two types of people, the saved and the dammed. How to recognise the difference? Well, the saved would be blessed by God in their achievements. How could we recognise that? Well God would make the saved successful in their work, thus the materialistic man could become rich with the blessings of God, but to me the main road to material success was always usury which Calvin accepted.
I was never superstitious so how could I accept the ‘Holy Trinity’? When a German theologian argued a similar point, Calvin had him burnt at the stake. So much for our God of ‘Love’! How can any intelligent person accept ‘The Apostle’s Creed’? Again pure superstition.
I can remember reading the Book of Revelations during religious instruction in form 5, and I was aghast at the pure hatred in it. Definitely not a ‘God of Love’.
When my eldest sister was murdered in front of her two young children on her 24th birthday on the 3rd of March 1967, I was devastated. I never cried at her funeral, and yet for at least three years after that I felt that somebody was watching over me.
Much later from 1998 when I was investigating the Port Arthur massacre, and transcribing the sentencing hearing, every time I erred I found that I was guided back to the truth. There is a God and if you listen, God will speak to you.
You are aware of today’s multinational corporations. Do you think it was any different in the days of Rome? What was the message of Cicero? Is it any different today? Not really as 2000 years is only a very short time.
Thanks for sharing your story. So sorry to hear about your sister. I also totally disagree with Calvin’s doctrine. Calvin must never have known grace, love, redemption or forgiveness.
He must never have walked with humility either to believe that stuff.
Nice chatting with you.
Thank you for having me.
May I leave a gift for you and your family?

Thanks Andrew
“Merchants have no country,” wrote Thomas Jefferson in 1814. “The mere spot they stand on does not constitute so strong an attachment as that from which they draw their gains.” The former president was ruing the way New England traders and shipowners, fearing the loss of lucrative transatlantic commerce, failed to rally to their country in the War of 1812.
If some merchant has so much money he can brag about all the charities he is supporting …. he is charging you too much.
Ever notice “capitalism” is NEVER mentioned in the Constitution. You have a RIGHT to your property, but so-called “capitalism” is never mentioned.
Thank “capitalism”…. Instead of having babies/families White Christians were “diverted” into working their lives away to PRODUCE in the name of Capitalism ……. People worked to serve the “machine” instead of the Machine serving Christ.
Talk about BAD STEWARDS ….. the 1% has utterly failed Christ and HIS People. Their businesses should have been the basis for providing life’s necessities for the Community of Christ. Instead they are providing a petrie dish for growing the disease of barbarism from paganism at home to invading ISLAM. Without a Christian base and Western philosophy the laws that allow these corporations would never have been written.
Yes, communism/socialism are worse, but not by much. Christians should have been raising Children, not the bank accounts of the 1%.
Instead of working to create a strong, healthy, growing, society, the Rich “Harvested the corners of the fields” and gathered every grain into THEIR castles and cared not for the Culture and Religion that made their very existence possible.
Time for the 1% and Corporations to contribute PROPORTIONATELY to the National Defense.
Those who have massive material goods must contribute proportionately to protecting them.
If the 1% were paying proportionately they would become concerned about waste, fraud & THEFT in the Pentagon.
The Workers give their LIVES maimed and killed.
The Workers Pay high taxes for ONE house with a MORTGAGE.
The !% and Corporations have multiple houses, pay ever decreasing taxes and enjoy the FAT of the land.
And no more TAX DODGING “trusts”, “endowments” and “foundations” where they still CONTROL their money, they just don’t PAY TAXES. Spend the money in 5 years or it goes to the National Debt.
Since pseudo-conservatives/neocons , are so enamored of the words of our forefathers would someone please dig out the old Sermons preached in American churches about the FOUL MERCANTILISTS whose ONLY loyalty is to money. Neither Nation nor Church holds the devotion of these squalid creatures, but only the source of their next dollar.
Dear Angus,
What the Presbyterian Church taught us changed everything.
Your message is simple; We used to work to live; now we must live to work.
What is the ‘tithe’? It is taxation, that’s all. Taxation to our masters, only the masters have got greedy.
Israeli tolerance — Israeli agents have forced homosexual marriage onto White Western Christian countries through the ACLU, SPLC, ADL, and all their other Front Groups. Look at what the Jews do back home (for the dual passporters.) After putting on a Ptomkin’s village show of “tolerance”, Israel’s Supreme Court refuses to “recognize” homosexual marriage as they force it here. https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/2017090
Agreed … the breaking of Christian values by ratbags …

a very good article and well-written with excellent points.
slight problem mate
ALL of what you have implied ‘could’ happen – HAS ALREADY HAPPENED!!!
corps have owned govts for decades – all over the west
govts as corp muscle, media control, spying, corruption, meaningless elections and the rest – is already in place since the 1920’s – read Smedley Butler (War is a Racket) some time.
The only difference now is the pace and visibility and scale/scope of this phenomenon.
If you still believe this can be stopped/slowed-down and/or reversed in the West, then I have a very nice bridge in London (used) I can sell you!
The West is devouring itself.
This process cannot be stopped – only the collapse of their rotten system offers a chance.
Reform/reversal is impossible.
This will result in a lot of death and misery in the West – let’s hope we can get it over with, so that our children (that survive) have a chance to build a better one that the one that we, and our forebears, destroyed for them.
A parent.
“Your father and I always expected that the US would go fascist…”
I heard that in 1964…
In Los Angeles. The topic? JFK and the Vietnam crimes…and US Fascism.
Do people need weathermen to know the wind?
Dear Saker Community,
FWIW, this website: http://www.againstequality.org/
“AgainstEquality.org is an online archive, publishing, and arts collective focused on critiquing mainstream gay and lesbian politics. As queer thinkers, writers and artists, we are committed to dislodging the centrality of equality rhetoric and challenging the demand for inclusion in the institution of marriage, the US military, and the prison industrial complex via hate crimes legislation.”
Gay Marriage:
“We wish that the Gay Marriage crowd would simply cop to it: Their vision of marriage is the same as that of the Right, and far from creating full equality now, as so many insist, gay marriage increases economic inequality by perpetuating a system which deems married beings more worthy of the basics like health care and economic rights.”
US Military:
“Gays unfailingly draw upon the narrow and patriarchal discourse of the nation-state and the glory of war, as if these were righteous and just and pure. We wonder if they have shut their ears to the rising tide of anti-war sentiment across the world. We wonder if they do not see the burnt remnants of entire cities decimated in the thirst for oil, or the corpses of adults and children deemed as “collateral damage” as the United States continues its thunderous march towards a failed attempt at world domination.”
Prison Industrial Complex:
“The passage of hate crime legislation deludes us into thinking that we have finally managed to get the law on our side, to pay attention to the harassment and violence so many of us face on a daily basis. But measures like hate crime legislation and the increased policing of “our” neighbourhoods puts the most vulnerable among us in jail for perpetuity, and it makes the oppressive structures of prison a more insidious part of our lives instead of dismantling them.”
Anything for a buck is fascism.
Anything we want, anytime we feel like it is liberalism.
thanks for the clear “money over moral ” world order.
well done brother..the truth is becoming a lie and the lie “truth”
The relationship between government and corporations is a lot closer than anyone realizes.
Just look at all the things the CIA has funded… such as Amazon and Facebook.
What were Apple and Microsoft doing also? You think they were not being funded and directed to implement certain things in their products?
Essentially, it’s the method of selling you the rope upon which to hang yourself, which I believe the Communists spoke of the Capitalists.
Instead of the government forcibly implanting tracking devices on you, they now package those as consumer products, like cellular phones with the help of corporations and sell you the privilege of having you tracked.
Homosexuality also has a purpose – the more sexually immoral a people become, the easier they are to herd and control and give in to impulses, which is great for selling them shit. It’s also good for population control. If they can’t charge you for abortions and condoms fast enough, then try the same sex. Try a transgender. Close enough for them. They don’t care. The more depraved you are the easier you are to control, and the easier it is to target your outrage and direct you to attack those groups of people more inclined to stand up to you – orthodox Christians. Whereas the sex-addled general public and special class of LGBTTQIALMNOPetc. are all too happy to grant the government more power to persecute their ‘enemies’ those who don’t accept their lifestyle and harmful behavior.
Corporations pay for government, who then uses taxpayer money to fund universities, schools, colleges, media and charities, and once they are dependent on government funding, threaten to oull the plug when they don’t adopt what government wants. In Canada, the Supreme Prime Minister Snork, threatens anyone and everyone who is pro-life or not on board the use of 40-50 gender pronouns that they demand we use or else face job loss, fines and potential jail time. Open tyranny at its finest.
Gay ‘marriage’ and war are America’s finest exports.
