I believe we should always condemn the head chopping terrorists. But condemn them as terrorists ,not as Muslims. Some people seem to think that as Europeans (or Americans) they are somehow morally “superior”.I think history shows us how laughably foolish that idea is.But in case some people forget that, this picture should remind us:
If this video is accurate,it is a “smoking gun” of US involvement with ISIS.In the US,if this was a “legal case” it would certainly be enough to file charges over by a prosecutor :
Here is an example of the Israeli settlers that are allowed to live in the Palestinian territories and mistreat Palestinians and steal their lands. These “settlers” made a mistake and vented their hate in front of a British cameraman.Letting him know how they feel about Christians too:
The video of these drunks — revealing their real feelings — is several years old already: this has been going on for quite some time now, and is only getting worse. There are videos of young children showing the same attitudes, ingrained into them by parents, school, and the government and religious institutions. I don’t see how the situation would improve much in the years to come, with so much of the population spewing the same poison.
Very true. That is just one example. As you said there are others,in fact many others I’ve seen over the years.Zionism is one of the most racist ideologies ever created in the World.I seriously have little doubt if this situation was in the 1930’s,without the knowledge of crimes in WW2.And without the modern Worldwide communications we have today. That the Zionists would be working on a “holocaust and final solution” for the Palestinians. They have already created an occupation regime for Palestine that the nazis would have envied. The South Africans apartheid regime were “pikers” compared to the Israelis.
Pepe Escobar is hilariously funny and spot on.

With all this build up of power I cannot forget what the greatest power is: love, the undiscovered country and last frontier. I send my love to the actors in this unfolding drama which you so masterfully present.

Bob Marley was a revolutionary who used his music to fight for the downpressed of the world,.He took a bullet in the arm in an assassination attempt in 1976.In 1981 he died at age 36 from cancer. He was an enemy of the CIA…go figure!
I don’t think I’ve seen a breakdown on Egypt posted yet.So I’ll give my thinking on it.Egypt is by far the largest in population. And I believe most important Arab state in the World. They are “Arab” really in name only.As unlike some “Arab” states, they are mostly made up of a population “Arabized” culturally over the centuries. But with a strong “national” feeling,as “Egyptians” still.Between 80-85% of the population is Muslim (mostly Sunni). With the other 15-20% native or immigrant Christians. The figures are “massaged” by governments in power so its difficult to have exact figures on the population. But I think the 15% to 85% split is probably close. The Christians are from the old native Egyptian population. And one of the (if not the oldest) Christian group around. While most of the Muslim population is also made up of converts from the native Egyptian population. There is also an element of descent from Arab immigrants that have moved to Egypt over almost 2,000 years (even before the rise of Islam). And intermarriage between the two Muslim peoples is very common.Less so today between Christians and Muslims.Though in general over a thousand years of living together has led to acceptance of each other by both communities in the main. The Islamists have tried to change that. And there is terrorism directed at the Christian minority. But nothing (so far) like in some countries infested by the terrorists.
Up until Sadat sold Egypt out to the West she was one of the USSR’s main friends in the MENA. His sell out may have helped the Egyptian elite to get richer. But it brought no improvement to the average Egyptian. In fact it made their lives worse off (and cost him his life later on).The key to the MENA and no area more so than Egypt is the economy. The EU is whining about the refugee’s flooding into Europe (and rightly so).But has done nothing to solve the causes of that flood. Some of it is caused by terrorism, true. But most of it is economic in cause.Commonsense should tell them that alone.People don’t flee in those numbers (especially when many aren’t from countries at war) if they have hope in their own country.Terrorism feeds on despair of the future to get its recruits. But if the majority of people see that they have a future at home.Instead of fleeing to Europe they would be flocking to join the army and stop the terrorists from ruining that future. If the EU wants to stop the influx, build the economies in the MENA and convince people there they have a future in their own land.Certainly terrorism must be fought and defeated. But to do that its the further recruits that must be stopped.Give them hope of jobs and a livelihood and you do that.
So where does Egypt fit in there? The “battle for Egypt” won’t be won on the battlefields. It will be won or lost on the “job field”.For a “developing country” Egypt has a large educated population. And sits at the crossroads of Asia and Africa. Its location controls the main parts of the Red Sea,and is important to the entire Eastern Mediterranean, once you add in the Suez Canal, its “very” important to the Mediterranean. So whichever “side” controls Egypt controls much of the MENA. Hopefully Russia and China realize how important Egypt is for them.If they could/would invest heavily in building Egypt’s economy. That would tear Egypt away from the West. And as importantly, tear Egypt away from the Gulf Princes.Egypt needs money, its as simple as that. And whoever helps them with that will come out on top.The Egyptian secular rulers haven’t got much in common with the anti-Muslim West or with the Wahhabi Saudis. But they need the money that those groups give them.Whoever offers more wins Egypt, again its that simple.
That’s one theory. But most historians disagree with it.The Egyptians were very much a crossroads country. In the North much of the racial impact was from North African and Levantine peoples (Caucasian racially) while in the South there was a lot of immigration from sub-Saharan Africa (Nubians) who were black or mulatto from centuries of admixture. One Dynasty that ruled Egypt was Nubian and the monuments they left behind made some earlier scholars think that meant Egyptians were black.During the Roman rule in Egypt it was popular to make portraits to put in the graves. And those artists had a high level of skill (the European “Dark Ages” set art back for centuries in Europe).Art was much more realistic in those days then for centuries afterwards. The portraits show a Mediterranean people.Looking much like Southern Greeks,Southern Italians,or today’s Lebanese,Syrians,or Palestinians. After the Muslim conquest many people from Arab (and other MENA states) came to Egypt. And as importantly hundreds of thousands of slaves were brought into Egypt from other areas of Africa.Over a couple of thousand years we see the population of Egypt today.Very mixed, ranging from light to dark, and every shade in between.
Captain Simon Hardy, who has more than 17-years experience flying the Asian air routes, has developed a detailed mathematical and geometric calculation which indicates where the doomed Boeing 777 came down last March with 279 passengers and crew on board as it flew from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.

Govt forces halt 2-year ISIS siege of key airbase in northern Syria – media
Elite Syrian army units have broken the siege of Kweires airbase, following weeks of intense fighting against Islamic State and other jihadist forces. The base, which opens up routes for offensives against Raqqa and Aleppo, had been encircled for nearly two years.
“We, the heroes of Kweires, are now celebrating this victory with our brothers,” a soldier told Syrian state television.
For those here who have worried about Russian intelligence capabilities in the mid East this article might reassure you. Also the writer details how the Russians might have fooled the intelligence capabilities of the US in the initial stages of the build up at the Latakia base.
True, but remember the reasons for that.Unlike Israel (who also cuts much other aid than that from Americans). The money Egypt gets is for two reasons. One,to tie the greatest Arab state to them.It ties their military into the US weapons system. And the most important reason. When Sadat sold Egypt to the US that was part of the deal for recognizing Israel and betraying the Arab World. The US promised them that aid (and more). That is considered (even privately by the US) as a “bribe” to keep Egypt at peace with Israel.

“Egypt needs money”
They should, as any country, ditch the central bank and create their own money. Only then a country can have control of itself.
But on the other hand, every country or leader that does this, or tries to, gets destroyed.
Latest on MH-70 ‘search’ after 20 months today.
Australia resumed its deep-sea search last week based on the location identified 11-months-ago by the Boeing 777 captain as MH370’s final resting place.
