Zelensky (whatever happened to the second Y? Did someone sell it to Vanna White as a vowel?) now claims he needs more US weapons, and soon enough I am sure, US soldiers. I guess all the 40 billion dollars in obsolete weapons which the Ukros are selling second hand in world markets just aren’t commanding a high enough price.
For those us of in the West, especially the US, many of whom are supporters of these malicious foreign policy adventures that benefit no one. I say this.
Coming to possess a genuine sense of humility is much easier to learn than be taught, and we are all about to be taught a lesson we’ll never forget.
The same people running the war in Ukraine are the same people running the USA. Just as the USA ran Ukraine into the ground, so will they run the USA into the ground. Russia and China will not have to lift a finger. People who cannot achieve small things, should not be given large projects.
I can’t belive that anyone in the US believes anything the US corporate media spews. WMDs in Iraq? Nope. Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide? Nope. Russia hacked the election? Nope. Hunter Biden’s laptop was a Russian disinfo campaign? Nope.
Have they ever told the truth? Only by accident, and even then it is quickly ‘corrected’.
Nobody trusts the government. Corproations feed on citizens. If you call the police the most likely outcome is that you will get shot. Everybody know this, yet people still believe the manure poured on them day in and day out. Until years have gone by and everyone knows it was a lie.
Gonzalo pierces to the heart of the Tragedy/Comedy of the disaster unfolding in Ukraine.
His rage and fury and sadness are entirely appropriate, although firing squads will never be my answer to any question.
I read the NY Times piece Gonzalo alludes to with my morning coffee a few days ago and felt my blood boil and wrote about it locally. I’ll find the Times piece and post it here, if I can.
“Step Right Up For The Newest in US Excuses: From the NY Times webpage right now.
“Blind Spots”
The U.S. has provided Ukraine with $54 billion in aid and is giving the country some of its most advanced weaponry. Yet U.S. intelligence agencies know less about Ukraine’s successes and failures on the battlefield than they do about Russia’s, my colleague Julian Barnes writes.”
I tried to post the article directly but so far it has not appeared.
At same time, a number of the DC actors in this drama will point to the execution failures in an otherwise brilliant plan. They can aspire to promotions to even higher foreign policy roles, eminently qualified to plan the next, improved venture. Just consider Ms Vicky Nudelbaba (perhaps Kukisuka is a more appropriate name)
Remember Hillary Clinton’s “what difference does it make” statement on Libya. That how it worked in Afghanistan and Vietnam, Libya, & Iraq twice Gonzalo. The leadership in the USA and NATO to include their partners don’t accept their failure in any decisions they make. Janet Yellen was the first banker to say she failed that I know of.
My comment concerns Western MSM, which (obviously) is dominated Russophibic presstitutes. I’m talking about The Washington Post in particular. Let me tell you about my experience with this media outlet.
The Post has been banning me from their comments board since the war started. When posting, I always respect their moderation rules. But I get banned anyway. The bannings are usually for seven days. Without doubt, I’m being banned because of my pro-Russian views.
This morning, my latest seven day ban ended. So, I joined the conversation on one of the Russia-related stories. Within minutes, however, I was banned again. I had only posted four comments when the moderator blocked me.
Here are the four comments which the Post found so offensive that they booted me from their forum:

———————————————————————————————————————————————–
This article totally misrepresents Putin’s words. Putin merely compared Russia’s retaking of eastern Ukraine today with Peter the Great’s reacquisition of Ingria in 1703
The comparison is valid, as Ingria and eastern Ukraine are both historically Russian lands that were lost to greedy foreign states during times of political turbulence.
Ingria existed as part of the Principality of Novgorod from the 9th century until 1617, when Sweden forcibly wrenched the region from the Russian people. In 1703, Peter forced the Swedes out of Ingria, permanently rejoining the region with the Russian motherland.
Eastern Ukraine became Russian territory in stages between 1505 and the late 1700s. Initially uninhabited, this area was first settled by Russian colonists. Later, Ukrainian settlers moved to various parts of eastern Ukraine, where they merged with the native Russians and became willing subjects of the tsar.
But in the 1920s the communists stripped the Russian SSR of eastern Ukraine and attached it to the Ukrainian SSR. In 1991, the Ukraine seceded from the USSR, taking this demographically and historically Russian region with it. Kiev refused to negotiate the matter, and also failed to give the eastern Ukrainian people a referendum so they could decide their own future.
Peter the Great settled the Ingrian issue by crushing the Swedes at the Battle of Poltava in 1709. Today, Putin is resolving the eastern Ukraine matter by destroying the Ukrainian army in the battles of Donbass.
History moves in circles.

You are 100% wrong.
In 1505, Russia acquired eastern Ukraine, which corresponds to today’s Kharkov and Donbass areas. At the time, nobody lived there. It was open steppe territory, traversed by warlike nomads.
Throughout the 1500s and 1600s, Russia settled the region, which was then called Sloboda Ukraine. But Russia had a problem defending the territory against frequent Crimean Tatar raids which ravaged the area.
In the 1630s, the tsar invited Ukrainian Cossacks to migrate to Sloboda Ukraine, to establish population density. The Ukrainians willingly did so, and became contented subjects of the tsar. Together, Russians and Ukrainians then repulsed the Crimean Tatar invasions.
As this was happening, further west, there existed Ukrainian Cossack settlements. This area was known as right-bank Ukraine. These Ukrainians were in a constant state of rebellion against their monarch, the Polish king.
In 1654-67, Russia forged an alliance with the Ukrainian Cossacks. Together, they defeated the Poles, and the consequent peace treaty mandated all of right-bank Ukraine, where the Ukrainian Cossacks were established, would be ceded to Russia.
After 1667, a conflict emerged between the Russian tsar and the Ukrainian Cossacks concerning the terms of the peace treaty. The Ukrainians argued it implied an alliance between the Russia and the Cossacks. But the tsar believed otherwise, claiming the treaty meant the Ukrainians agreed to be Russian vassals.
I could write a lot more, but I’ll end it here. I just want to refute your erroneous claim about the deep history of eastern Ukraine.

Europe will be in flames only if US/NATO continues stoking proxy wars on Russia’s borders. Don’t blame Russia for this mess.
Putin’s focus is preventing US/NATO from turning the Ukraine into a giant military base, to be used against Russia. That’s key point number one. Keep it in mind.
4
——————————————————————————————————–
Russia has always had a Monroe Doctrine of its own. That’s why it won’t tolerate US/NATO turning adjacent countries into military bases.
Didn’t you read the history of the Cold War? Russia maintained control of Eastern Europe in order to create a buffer zone against potential Western aggression.
Russia did the same under the tsars, maintaining Poland, the Baltics, and Finland as forward defensive zones to hedge against possible European invasions.
So, when Russia allowed the Soviet empire to break-up in 1989-91, the question arose about where Russia’s buffer zones would lie. At first, US/NATO leaders sympathized with Russia’s defensive needs, and promised no eastward NATO expansion. But Western leaders broke their own vows less than a decade latter.
This kind of comment isn’t proprietary to theirs games. I was banned few times as well as you are . This happens to me in Czech Republic. Some times I have to try x-times to put something online. Everything it’s under tight control by MINISTRY OF TRUTH *
So, you are saying that the Post bans you too? Or are you referring to a different Western presstitute outlet? If so, which one?
As far as I’m concerned, banning commenters because they don’t adhere to the US/NATO propaganda line is repugnant. Totally abhorrent.
It just proves that the editors and journos running these information cesspools will stop at nothing with respect to achieving their goal. That goal, of course, is to brainwash the huge portion of the American public which is ignorant and suggestible.
The Post won’t allow commenters with diverse ideological orientations to debate one another regarding the issues. At least not if those issues concern Russia and Putin. They are turning those forums into echo chambers of Russophobic sentiment. That’s in addition to encouraging readers to whitewash, and even glorify, Ukrainian fascism.
BTW, did you notice the Post totally misconstrued Putin’s words about Peter the Great and Ingria? As Paul Craig Roberts wrote in a recent article, these presstitute are scum. Real scum.
Why do you even read the WaPo? It’s been the chief CIA mouthpiece since the 1950s. It was steadily pro-Vietnam War and every war that has followed. It wasn’t bad on culture and local news (I used to live in Northern Virginia) and occasionally had good investigative pieces but after 2001 it got steadily worse (in all areas) and after 2016 it became like the rest of the mainstream one of prime purvyors of Russiagate and all the rest of the bizarre fantasy-scape that all the media has been constructing since then. I glance at headlines now and then but it’s almost totally lies and fabrications. Its motto is accurate–democracy (or what tiny slice is left in the USA) does die in the darkness they print out every day.
Just so you know clicking on their stories increases their income so I suggest you stop reading the MSM.
Good comments. Of course you know that WAPO is the daily newsletter of the CIA. Literally. They have paid employees running it. Even the headlines. And tens of thousands of people read it and slurp up every word. I include my in-laws who tell me it all has to be true because it goes through fact checkers! I do have to admit though that their coverage of the multi-millionaires who play for the Washington sports teams can be entertaining at times. Unfortunately I can never get myself to buy a paid on-line subscription so can only read five of their lying articles a month. I will say too that all the stuff they are now printing about how badly Ukraine is doing is only to stoke the hatred of Russia in preparation for the next big escalation of their hybrid WWIII.
GW:
I think “no one lived there” is incorrect. The Ukrainian steppe and other areas in the Ukraine—the Dnieper and Southern Bug catchment areas—have been inhabited since prehistory.
The territory of eastern Ukraine was held by the Golden Horde for centuries after the victories of Genghis Khan.
It was Ivan the Terrible who finally freed the Muscovite entity from the golden Horde, in 1554 or thereabouts.
Thanks for showing interest in my comment about the history of Sloboda Ukraine and the Donbass. But my information is correct. I’ve been reading about the subject for years. Kindly allow me to explain.
Eastern Ukraine (including the Kharkov and Donbass regions) and southern Russia were indeed uninhabited for centuries prior to the 1500s. Even during Kievan Rus times, nobody dared to live there because the steppes were always traversed by warlike nomads from a variety of nations. There were the Pechenegs, Scythians, and a bunch of others.
The Mongol-Tatar conquest of Russia happened in 1238-41. As you are surely aware, the Mongol-Tatar horde destroyed much of Rus, particularly the southern regions. First they tried to colonize central and southern Rus (i.e., the lands aside from Novgorod). But after 60 years, the khans gave up this effort. It was simply too difficult to extract anything of value from Rus soil given the growing season in that part of the world is only three months per year (compared to nine months annually in Western Europe and Mongolia). So, the Mongol-Tatars withdrew from Rus around 1300, and for next 180 years or so, turned it into a tributary. This is known in Russian history as the “Great Mongol-Tatar Yoke.”
Also, very late in the 1200s, the great Mongol Empire broke up into five smaller sub-empires. You’re no doubt aware that the Mongol-Tatar successor state which (partially) controlled Rus was called the Golden Horde, which established its capital at Sarai near the Volga.
However, the Golden Horde lost control of eastern Ukraine (Kharkov and Donbass) to Lithuania in the early 1300s. Most people don’t realize that, but it’s true.
Basically, in the first half of the 1300s, the Golden Horde became embroiled in a multi-decade war in Central Asia against the Uzbeks, who were led by Timur. Because of this distraction, the Mongol-Tatars could no longer pay attention to the southern and central Rus principalities of Smolensk, Kiev, Volhynia, and Halych.
At this point, the Lithuanians under Grand Duke Gediminas invaded the Rus principalities. Some of these principalities happily received the Lithuanians, and arranged to switch their annual tribute payments from the Mongol-Tatar khan to Gediminas. Other Rus principalities were forcibly subordinated by the Lithuanians. Either way, during this period, these Rus lands passed from the control of the Golden Horde to the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. There was nothing the beleaguered Mongol-Tatars could do to prevent this from happening.
For this reason, believe it or not, the territory presently known as Kharkov and Donbass was actually part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Until 1505, that is.
Anyway, in the 1400s, the Grand Principality of Moscow (formerly known as Vladimir-Suzdal) became super-powerful. In 1480, Ivan the Great of Moscow formally disavowed the tribute he was supposed to pay the Golden Horde, which was now too weak to exert any influence over Russia. Also, during 1500-05, Ivan the Great waged war against Lithuania for the purpose of liberating Smolensk and other Russian lands from Lithuania.
This Muscovite-Lithuanian war was won by the Russians, and in 1505, Lithuania ceded much territory to the Grand Principality of Moscow. That’s how eastern Ukraine came under Russian control. Seriously, that’s the historical truth.
Later in the 1500s, Ivan the Terrible became the new Grand Prince of Moscow. In 1549, Ivan formally declared the Tsardom of Russia. In 1552, Ivan led his army against the Khanate of Astrakhan, which was one of the Tatar successor states to old Golden Horde. The Russian army defeated the Astrakhan Tatars, razed their capital, and annexed all their territory, which is now known as southern Russia.
In the second half of the 1500s, the Russians made many failed to permanently settle eastern Ukraine and southern Russia. The reason these efforts failed is because that entire region, even as late as the 1500s and 1600s, was the stomping ground of lots nomads and bandits. Russian settlements in eastern Ukraine and southern Russia were often overrun by the Crimean Tatar cavalry armies as well.
During the 1600 to 1630, the Russian tsars continued their effort to permanently settle eastern Ukraine and southern Russia. However, this time, the tsars did something unusual: they invited restive, rebellious Ukrainian Cossacks from Dniepr River region to migrate across the border, into the Tsardom of Russia, and mix with the Russian settlers. The Ukrainians, who were at that time savagely oppressed by the Polish king, happily accepted the tsars’ offer.
This, basically, is how Russians and Ukrainians originally mixed together in eastern Ukraine, which by that time was called Sloboda Ukraine. Together, the Russians and Ukrainians fortified the area and began the process of permanently colonized the region. They also fought successfully to roll back the frequent Crimean Tatar invasions of that area.
Today, lots of ignorant Ukrainians and Westerners believe that eastern Ukraine (i..e., Sloboda Ukraine and the Donbass) was originally ethnically, politically, and legally Ukrainian territory, and that the “barbarous Russians” conquered the land from them. But that is total BS.
Sorry for the length of this reply, but I just wanted to clarify the facts.
Thank you for the interesting history… but I’d question calling Timur Leng an Uzbek.
He ruled over what we now do call Uzbekistan, but he was from the Barlas tribe, an apparent descendant of Genghis Khan.
The Uzbeks (or Uzbegs, more appropriately), didn’t arrive until a few decades later, when Timur’s own descendant Babur had to run from them.
I´ll have you know that your History revisionism is “rUsSiAn MisiNfoRmation”, the Swedish army(with the Ukrainian force under Mazepa) won at Poltava and the Kremlin propaganda used their “bots” to spread lies about it. In reality this wasn´t a Swedish invasion, no, the nice Swedish Crown just wanted to safeguard the Ukraine against Russian agression.
If you question anything about this I decry you as the vilest Ist-o-phobe and those “bots” that you maybe doubt existed in 1709 are what some people call “humans”(or what we in the West call, people with thought-crime minds/non-broken).
This is of course not a serious post, only my attempt to put Western propaganda in perspective.
very enlightening post. i remain banned now since last year from the Guardian here in the uk; this is because i cited verbatim the jewish former Parliamentary Speaker’s support for the view that the former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn is not anti semitic.
There was a story on the web somewhere of a town or resort where wealthy Khazarian-ko$her Ukrainians were hiding and vacationing far from the war. The best food, swimming pool, hotel resort. Sickening. While their ilk-tribe like Zelensky, Kolomoisky, Poroshenko and others get richer over the murder of Ukrainian goyim.
– One of his discoveries was a 1944 German army personnel document listing 77 high-ranking officers “of mixed Jewish race or married to a Jew.” Two generals, eight lieutenant generals, five major generals and 23 colonels are on the list. https://www.latimes.com/archives/la-xpm-1996-12-24-mn-12209-story.html
Nope. When you consciously commit a crime, however big, you ALWAYS assume you will get away with it (emotionally or psychiatrically motivated/triggered or under duress might be the exceptions, but that’s not “conscious”). Otherwise you wouldn’t do it. There is no such thing as 100% deterrent, unless there is 100% control.
By the time the $40 Billion is laundered through and divvied up in Ukraine, it becomes 40 Billion Hryvnia.
What’s it costing UK-EU to house and feed 5-10 million Ukrainian refugees?
Thinking about it, shouldn’t this American inspired genocide/war be covered by the US Defence Budget or Discretionary Budget (additional monies for Colour Revolutions & Regime Change purposes )? Darn, a $Trillion Defence Budget and all those resources, 8 years of NATO planning gone into the creation of a now failed State. Well someone’s got to pay; most likely the Great Unwashed in suicide rates.
After watching this yesterday, the only quibble I have is the ‘shot across the bow’ Gonzalo feeling it’s the Obamanites but many in the US say a shadow government run by Obama is the force behind Biden. They are all System Pigs, why rock the boat.
I’d put money on it being the adults in the room, the Pentagon. Interesting move from someone will have to wait to see if it has legs.
Zelenskyy will come out of this as a National Hero, a Ukrainian version of Winston Churchill.
He has got the attention of the great mass of people in the US sphere of influence (Europe + English-speaking countries). If there is blame to be assigned, Zelenskyy will point the finger and the blame will go to whomever he points to.
Objectively, he’s a disaster for his country. But so was Churchill, if you look at the history in detail – most of the decisions he made were wrong, and the net result of WW2, as far as Britain was concerned, was to reduce the country from one of the richest in the world to bankruptcy, for basically nothing (the Soviet Union beat the Nazis).
Yes, it is despicable. But, they knew very well there would be a lot of death and destruction. These are the same people throughout history that create these conflicts and wars.
The west is morally and financially bankrupt. I can’t decide if they thought that Russia would continue to take the abuse without responding or if that is what they wanted to happen. See, talking about a blame game, Biden can blame all the economic problems, energy costs on Putin’s invasion of sovereign Ukraine. They may also have been counting on citizens to rally behind the commander in chief of the US/NATO aka Josef Stolen. Well, some clueless people are flying their Ukraine flags, but I think most are not buying it.
Anyhow, it’s not Biden running the show as he will be kicked to the curb soon enough. They seem to be doing their best to hasten the destruction of the US. Will they risk direct war with Russia? Probably not but they don’t care how many people they kill in fact they would be happy to reduce the populations.
Biden says ‘Putin’s tax on both food and gas’ is to blame for record-high inflation.
Biden said the United States “has never seen anything like Putin’s tax on both food and gas,” after the Labor Department announced Friday that inflation hit a new four-decade high in May.
Fed gonna make inflation worse by raising rates. Just ask Turkey, Venezuela, Argentina, how rate hikes “squash” inflation lol.
Those 3 countries walked head first into a geopolitical trap.
The cost of credit is reflected in the cost of goods and services. When the cost of credit goes up business passes that increase cost into consumers via price hikes.
Something to keep in mind amid all this inflation/rate hysteria. There’s $30T in gov’t securities outstanding ( US national debt ), of which the public holds $24T.
Gov’t PAYS INTEREST on that. Raise rates and lots of people/institutions, etc, will get a big income boost. Via the interest income channel.
Is that inflationary or deflationary lol.
They have it all backwards and use it as a geopolitical tool.
Taking your last point first: the interest rate on most long-term government debt (T-notes and T-bonds) is fixed when the bond is issued. If you bought a 10-year T-bond back in August of last year, the interest rate of about 1.3% is locked in. Doesn’t matter if the Fed raises interest rates to 10%, what you get paid on your 10-year bond does not change. Same thing applies to 30-year bonds. There is no “income boost”.
Next, effect of interest rates on inflation. That’s more complicated, because interest rates are part of a company’s costs, so an increase tends to raise prices. But if you look at a typical company’s financial statements in detail, you find that interest expense is a small part of their costs. This is not an important impact on consumer prices. Much bigger is the effect on the money supply. When interest rates rise, companies and individuals borrow less. That means there is less borrowed money sloshing around in the economy. Less money in the wallets of consumers reduces the demand for products, so prices (which are the result of a balance between supply and demand) don’t go up. That’s the main effect of interest rates on inflation.
The spot and forward price for a non perishable commodity imply all storage costs, including interest expense. Therefore, with a permanent zero-rate policy, and assuming no other storage costs, the spot price of a commodity and its price for delivery any time in the future is the same. However, if rates were, say, 10%, the price of those commodities for delivery in the future would be 10% (annualized) higher. That is, a 10% rate implies a 10% continuous increase in prices, which is the textbook definition of inflation! It is the term structure of risk free rates itself that mirrors a term structure of prices which feeds into both the costs of production as well as the ability to pre-sell at higher prices, thereby establishing, by definition, inflation.
Prior to the pandemic and the supply side constraints. Take a look.
US inflation was very low barely touching 0.5%
Between 2016 to 2019 they hiked interest rates 9 times to 2.5%
The inflation rate during the same period went from 0.5% to 3%
The real data graphs tell the truth.
Regarding your first point let’s take a look at the Daily treasury statement. Pick any date and choose the ” text” option. The best one is the end of the fiscal year.
What you are looking for are issued and redeemed public debt Table 3a and b
There is nothing fixed about that. When they increase the rate the new issues are at the new rate. They call that rolling over.
Before the pandemic they issue new public debt to the tune of roughly $ 90 trillion every fiscal year.
End of US fiscal year is September 30. So let’s take a look at Sept 30th 2021. Table 3a and 3b
I was a premium investment consultant for one of the big banks.
I offered my clients saving portfolios with stocks and government bonds.
100% stocks ( high risk)
70% stocks 30% bonds
60/40
30% stocks 70% bonds
10% stocks 90% bonds
A portfolio full of bonds.( Low risk)
To get the client a return.
The fund managers changed the type of stocks and type of bonds on a regular basis. Over the length of the investment these could be bought and sold a hundred times. Bonds were sold and replaced with bonds with a higher yield in the portfolios.
Hence why you see redemptions over $119 trillion.
The only ones that were not like this was index linked bonds no matter the length of investment the return was the same or structured products. Structured products operated like index linked bonds.
Hopefully not one of those Fund managers. Buy low on Monday, pump the fund, then sell high on Friday. Great for funds managers with their ‘guaranteed’ fee regardless of Fund performance. At least in China you still run the risk of swinging from a rope for mismanagement of other people’s money.
In the west when you fuck up and take plebs money you get to move up the System Pig Trough. System Pigs, Gonzalo dude, you pegged it.
“When interest rates rise, companies and individuals borrow less. ”
That’s not true I’m afraid. Please Allow me to show you.
Starting in November 1970 when Arthur Burns was the Fed chairman the discount rate was 5.75% and inflation was running at 5.6% annually. By 1974 Burns had jacked up the discount rate to 8% — a 60% increase — and inflation had gone from 5.6% to 10% annually.
By November 1976 Burns had reduced the discount rate to 5.25% from 10% and inflation had fallen to 5% annually. Then by August 1979, which is when Volcker was appointed as Fed chairman, the discount rate was all the way back up to 10.5% and inflation had jumped to 11.8%.
Volcker continued to raise rates, pushing the discount rate to 13% by February 1980. The economy entered a recession in March of that year, but inflation was still running at 14%.
By 1992 the discount rate had fallen to 3% and inflation was running at about 3%. Then, when the discount rate was raised to 6% in 2000, inflation bounced back, too, and came in at just under 4%.
In November 1976, when the discount rate was 5.25%, year-over- year loan growth was 7%. Yet in February 1980, when the discount rate was 13%, year-over-year loan growth was 13%.
It didn’t effect lending growth at all Nick. As the increased cost gets passed on why they saw the inflation that they did.
As a representative from the free and civilised world and the International community, I want to underscore something: The Ukrainian soldiers died not for nothing……they died for for freedom.
Who’s next? Poland! Poland should and will defend the free global homo societies against the Empire of Evilness and start marching on Moscow, better sooner than later. If you can dream it you can do it. (sarc) https://youtu.be/dMrImMedYRo
1. If a bear prints money in the woods, and no price setters are around to notice, does it cause inflation ?
2. If you give a $ billion to Elon Musk and the Mississippi public schools free lunch programme, will they have the same impact on the price of milk?
3. If a gangster gets a $ billion bank loan to build a casino, is it less real resource intensive than the government building that casino ?
The answer to all 3 questions are unsurprisingly no.
Theories that ascribe all inflationary pressures to monetary phenomena may be seductive in their simplicity , but all they are peddling at the end of the day is the false hope of misplaced certainty.
Now the Ex NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen wants to introduce an economic ” Article 5″
If Anders Fogh Rasmussen thinks is the US a democracy, he is sadly mistaken.
Just because you can vote for candidates selected by two corporate owned political parties does not mean that you live in a democracy, whether you live in Russia, the US or the EU.
The US is ultimately controlled by a secret group of international bankers, who authorize their member banks to create money out of thin air as digital data entries as interest bearing debt. China on the other hand creates its domestic currency the yuan without incurring debt to private banks, and therein lies the proximate cause of East-West conflict. Russia seems to be caught in the crossfire
Karzai is still politically active. If I remember correctly, the West simply blamed the Afghani armed forces for accepting bribes from the Taliban. In other words, Washington pointed the finger at people who are anonymous. That way, everyone wins: Karzai was given refuge, and the U.S. and NATO have someone else to blame. No one was held accountable for the fiasco in Afghanistan, even when children were murdered by the U.S. military.
I suspect we will see something similar with Ukraine. President Zelensky will be given refuge (just like his corrupt sponsor, Igor Kolomoisky), and he will continue to be politically active (perhaps indirectly, through media — he is useful as a producer). Only this time, instead of blaming the troops, Washington could blame the defeat on Russia — already we hear reports about the “merciless” invaders. Hence, everyone who loses, “wins” — only the enemy is to blame.
Zelensky could end up being killed by his own people, but our side will treat him with reasonable accommodation if he ends up in exile. The reason is hardly complicated. Cooperation in the future is encouraged by decent treatment in the present. Higher ranking people will accommodate other higher ranking people when they can. It is one of these gentlemen’s agreement kind of things. And that is even if us surfs don’t like it. The guys who get shot or worse are the ones who end up in the hands of lower ranking people.
Zelensky‘s wife and children are both granted UK citizens, most likely he himself is too, just did not make it public. his parents are living in Israel in a $8 million mansion.
Mr Gonzalo Lira
Thanks for all your videos , speak the truth and wonderful explanation.
Could you please make a video about the American soldiers sitting and occupying illegally Syrian territory, stealing the oil , wheat from the mouth of the Syrian children and platting daily to remove Mr Assad from his position by helping the terrorist organization.
Victory has a thousand fathers, but defeat is an orphan. (JF Kennedy)
Zelensky might receive the hot potatoe award from the press for the massive Ukrainian failures, but I’m sure there are more than a few ‘deplorable’ proles who will not forget the press’s role in this and know where true blame lies.
”
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
This is an excellent definition of the “Big lie,” however, there seems to be no evidence that it was used by Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels, though it is often attributed to him.
The original description of the big lie appeared in Mein Kampf. […]
“
On BBC website June 11. As Gonzalo has stated very clearly here, the blame game has begun.
“US President Joe Biden has said that his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky “didn’t want to hear” American warnings ahead of Russia’s invasion of his country.
“I know a lot of people thought I was exaggerating,” Biden said at a fundraiser yesterday, referring to his forewarning of the possibility of a Russian attack.
“But I knew we had data to sustain (the assessment),” he said, adding that there was no doubt that Russian President Vladimir Putin was going to “go into the border” and “Zelensky didn’t want to hear it, nor did a lot of people”.
I can guarantee you that all those captured Ukranian soldiers are undergoing interrogations by Russian PsyOp officers which will violently turn them against their former bosses and allies, from the Ukie oligarchs to NATO offficials. Then, justice will be served.
I note lots of post mortem type anal-ysis and exculpatory apologias in the british msm this morning; effect is i feel to prepare the ground for the imminent defeat of ukraine and the nato/war party project; also Biden being pissy with best buddy zelensky in public; not a tactic likely to fill the war’s supporters with confidence right now
I would like to see the Donbas republics offer to free the 2 English soldiers / mercenaries on the condition that Britain releases Julian Assange.
Imagine the political turmoil !
This may very well be by far the best analysis of the Ukrainian disaster that you have given over the past few months. I have watched endless video footage of the countless innocent young men whose bodies are strewn throughout the Donbass for no good reason whatsoever. Yes I would have the mothers of these dear innocent boys as the designated firing squad. Thank you for your voice.
11 June 2020 You were correct: “LOS ANGELES (AP) – President Joe Biden, speaking to donors at a Democratic fundraiser, said Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky “didn’t want to hear it” when U.S. intelligence gathered information that Russia was preparing to invade.”
Even though Intelligence is ruled by Victoria Nuland, Intel got one thing right. Don’t put American troops or aviation into Ukraine. It’s not our playground. After that, like Gonzo says, blame game. Hey Gonzo, if you’re ever in Boston, call me, I’ll run you around for a haircut and shave. And a Sam Adam’s and a basket of lobsters. Thanks for your comments, Dood. Be careful and well.
I think we have to remember that after the US-orchestrated Maiden coup, spearheaded by militant extreme nationalists, or NAZIs; Ukraine ceased to be a recognizable ‘liberal democracy.’ Still, the voters chose Zelensky as the peace candidate, overwhelmingly, if we are to believe the election result. This meant that most Ukrainians wanted peace, not war, and certainly not a war with Russia, of all states. The state, culture and people, closest to most Ukrainians. It would be like a civil war between brothers.
Only Zelensky was a puppet of the West, an actor fulfilling his life’s role, playing the president of Ukraine! Powerful forces in Washington and Bruxelles, and ultra-nationalists in Ukraine, wanted conflict with Russia and worked for this for years. So, what ordinary Ukrainians wanted, peace and a better life, meant nothing to them, the warmongers.
The conflict was completely unnecessary and avoidable. The killing and destruction, the waste and misery, tragic and grotesque. A black, dire, comedy… soaked in blood.
The role, in this dark theatre, of the ruling Western elite, especially the politicians and their servants in the media; is despicable and criminal. The media is there to sell lies to the public and manufacture consent for massive political crimes. Will they ever be held accountable for their actions? I think only something like a revolution has to come, somehow, if the West is to have a future.
If the “intelligence people” say they don’t know what the military plans are, it must be so. They gave dates for the invasion of Ukraine. They believe and announced that Putin is like one step from the grave. They allow the media to say that they are the “sources” for a report. After he retires, a director can become a TV commentator or “senior analyst” for security issues and say, “I have a right to speak.” I believe all that he says on TV, no kidding. I don’t doubt that they don’t know about those military plans. It’s like teaching and you miss the lesson if you don’t believe.
Lira’s conclusion has convinced me that there is freedom of expression in Ukraine for media people; let’s admit it. Also, his laugh is contagious.
I don’t think the Ukrainian “leaders” (since 2014) had any illusions abouth the destruction they were raining down on Ukraine. They were simply looting their own nation as they raked in U.S. “aid.” Conspiring with the U.S. & E.U. was personally profitable.
Furthermore, it increasingly looks to me as if U.S. corporate & political “leaders” are doing the same thing in our country. They are conspiring together to loot the U.S. as we spiral into insolvency and chaos.
Regarding your first paragraph, it’s hard to read intentions and find proof of intentions, so it’s easy in a way to make the argument. However, it would have been more profitable and safer to avoid the Russian invasion, say they were not joining NATO, give up the Donbass and Crimea, and continue to rake it in.
He needs more than weapons to do anything that will hurt anyone except his own people.

Biden Throws Zelensky Under The Bus: Ukraine Leader ‘Brushed Off’ Invasion Warnings

Ues, into the ground. And who’s really to blame? The uews.
But it’s all Putin’s fault!
This is a special kind of stupid.
I am sorry to say tgat I agree with you. For what are there Harwards, Yales, MITs? Perhaps for nothing.
Firing squads are deterrents to those who might be planning on running a repeat somewhere else.

I would like to see that NY Times piece. I live in UK so obviously haven’t seen it. Be good if you can post it.

I agree Vicki,
Gonzalo Lira has got right to the heart of all that is going on. And speaks with passion which we all should feel.
That’s a tremendously moving post Vicki and one i fully endorse.

Real scum.
It is a very short walk from the US ambassador’s house to the MOD after all…
Why do you even read the WaPo?
Taffy:
Ah, very interesting. Thanks for the info. I’ve never read anything about Uzbek history, but will put that subject on my “to do” list.
Nossa, GW, muito obrigada pela excelente aula de historia da Russia! Muito obrigada!
Wow, GW, thank you so much for the excellent Russian history lesson! Thank you!
Ze is a Jew, you know, like “how much is 2+2,” and the answer is “how much would you want?”
Ever heard of Jewish “Ukrainians” fighting in the front lines? When a Jew ever cared for Goyim, ever?
By the way , Biden also said “the buck stays with me” in January 2020, and he too is trying to pass the buck.

Nice Gig this for the US MIC & Vested Interests.
You went right to the heart of it, culiao. But It was not for nothing. It is worse, it was for money and power of the elites.

I think you’re wrong, Gonzalo.
Some must be the blame goat, and you don’t know who, but assumes Zelensky can decide if he is going to be blamed or not
Yes, it is despicable.
The blame game
My friend, it is you who have it backwards.
Hi Nick,
The spot and forward price for a non perishable commodity imply all storage costs, including interest expense.
Just look at the real data graphs.
https://d3fy651gv2fhd3.cloudfront.net/charts/united-states-inflation-cpi@2x.png?s=cpi+yoy&v=202206101304V20220312&d1=20120613&url2=/united-states/interest-rate
Table 3a and 3b
https://fsapps.fiscal.treasury.gov/dts/files/21093000.txt
Total redeemed was over $119 trillion
Total issued was over $ 121 trillion
For the fiscal year.
Nick,
I was a premium investment consultant for one of the big banks.
Cheers M
Nick ,
“When interest rates rise, companies and individuals borrow less.

Look at the 2 graphs above between 2016 and 2019 when they hiked rates 9 times.
Neither supports your assumptions.
” When interest rates rise, companies and individuals borrow less. ” is like saying “When interest rates fall, companies and individuals borrow more ”
That isn’t true either.
When interest rates fall it is normally during a crises. Nobody wants to borrow when demand falls off a cliff. Which normally means job losses.
The real data always destroys wrong assumptions Nick.
Nick,
Also it is very common for a saving portfolio to change
A client might instruct the fund manager to change their risk profile from 100% stocks to 60% stocks , 40% bonds.
Or from 60% stocks 40% bonds to 10% stocks 90% bonds.
Saving portfolios change all the time across the world. Depending on savers lifestyles.
last month usa intelligence bragged they helped sink the moskva. this month they got no idea. lol
Gonzalo,
Que gusto y placer escucharte y que hermoso refinamiento humano.
Now the Ex NATO chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen wants to introduce an economic ” Article 5″
https://www.newsweek.com/russia-war-ukraine-highlights-new-world-order-china-nato-head-anders-fogh-rasmussen-1714192
To prevent any economic change to the rules based order. Any change will trigger an article 5 response.
@Billy
Right on Gonzalo.
I recently came across an article about former Afghanistan president Hamid Karzai:
===============================================================
Iran envoy meets with Hamid Karzai to discuss Afghanistan
May 28, 2022
https://en.mehrnews.com/news/187291/Iran-envoy-meets-with-Hamid-Karzai-to-discuss-Afghanistan
===============================================================
Hence, everyone who loses, “wins” — only the enemy is to blame.
no, he’ll be murdered.
The Ukrainian military – what’s left of it – will eliminate him and his production team. And it will happen soon.
Zelensky might receive the hot potatoe award from the press for the massive Ukrainian failures, but I’m sure there are more than a few ‘deplorable’ proles who will not forget the press’s role in this and know where true blame lies.
wow Gonzalo!
you are good man and you are right.
Democrats will blame Trump.
Often one sees only the abbreviated ‘quotation’:
https://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/joseph-goebbels-on-the-quot-big-lie-quot

In the end the, “Piper’’ will pay a very heavy price for this war.
A very, very good encapsulation of the situation. I just saw this on Bloomberg. I has begun.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-06-11/biden-says-zelenskiy-brushed-off-warnings-of-russia-s-invasion?srnd=premium
I note lots of post mortem type anal-ysis and exculpatory apologias in the british msm this morning; effect is i feel to prepare the ground for the imminent defeat of ukraine and the nato/war party project; also Biden being pissy with best buddy zelensky in public; not a tactic likely to fill the war’s supporters with confidence right now
Ukraine already has you fire squad covert, they are now preparing the woman to die for nothing.
Gonzalo is a seer.
… and so it begins…
https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/biden-throws-zelensky-under-bus-ukraine-leader-brushed-invasion-warnings
