Lira is exactly right here. The trend to focus on China as the next ‘war partner’ is increasing as we speak. Lira is also right in terms of Washington wants a War!
He does underestimate the Chinese and their current military ability, and with that, overestimates Washington’s power here. In the last G7 meeting, they tried to threaten China and accused them of breaking sanctions and supporting Russia. The reply was blistering.
CCTV: The G7 released a Foreign Ministers’ Communiqué on May 14, which contains various items relating to China including Hong Kong, Xinjiang, human rights, maritime issues, the situation in Ukraine, peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, among others. Do you have any comment?
Zhao Lijian: China’s position on Hong Kong, Xinjiang, Taiwan and maritime issues is consistent and clear. We have expressed our firm opposition to the G7 presidency. The lengthy G7 communiqué is filled with preposterous allegations not even worth refuting. In total disregard of China’s solemn position and objective facts, it grossly interferes in China’s internal affairs, maliciously slanders and smears China, and once again exerts pressure on China using such pretexts as the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
We urge the G7 to uphold the international system with the United Nations at its core, the international order based on international law, and the basic norms governing international relations underpinned by the purposes and principles of the UN Charter. We urge the G7 to respect China’s sovereignty, stop maligning China or meddling in China’s domestic affairs in any form, and stop bullying other countries with the rules of their own clique.
We urge the G7 to act in the interest of world peace and development, stop applying double or multiple standards, stop sending military aircraft and warships to other countries’ doorsteps to flex muscles at every turn, stop wantonly instigating color revolutions in other countries, stop arbitrarily resorting to illegal sanctions or long-arm jurisdiction, and stop fabricating and spreading lies and rumors about China.
We urge the G7 to assume its responsibility, fulfill its due international obligation, safeguard true multilateralism, focus on global governance, strengthen cooperation with the UN, G20 and other multilateral mechanisms, and play a positive role in addressing global challenges and promoting world economic recovery, instead of clinging to the Cold War mentality and ideological bias, pursuing “small clique” group politics, creating confrontation and division, and bringing chaos to the world.
Along with U.S. Admiral Eric Olson, a British Lieutenant Colonel John Bailey and 4 NATO military instructors also surrendered to Russia.
We already have the name of the Canadian General who was running the bioweapon labs. The General was conveniently charged on sexual misconduct before flying off to Ukraine.
Also, an American colonel and British Boat Commander were killed in the failed Snake Island invasion.
The US also lost 7 mercenaries in Sever Donetsk yesterday, the Russians wiped them out.
There are reports of Canadian, French, and Turkish military officer’s hiding in the Azovstal.
No wonder Macron and Erdogan tried so hard to get them out.
So NATO is directly involved in the conflict.
Soon we will know the names of the NATO commanders who were in charge of the Ukraine Nazi divisions.
The so called former Generals are now considered mercenaries, and will be without POW protection.
“Former” my A++, they are active servicemen with the “Former” prefix as cover if they get caught.
Why the heck would a retired Admiral put himself on the ground in something like that?
Military advisors for hire gets a hefty CIA pay.
Civilians were held hostages in that plant. Now the war crime trials can begin. Let it be public.
Since 2014 the AZOV battalion has conducted ethnic cleansing of civilians in the Donbas.
Russia should take them to Donetsk and let the parents of the children killed by their artillery judge them.
They are. They will be tried there.
These NAZIs should just be Execute.
Public trial is far more useful to Putin than dead Witnesses.
This information totally changes the tactical situation on the ground. If these captured mercenaries are identified to the world, it could damage the US and the NATO alliance.
But we were told that Ukraine was winning the war?
Why didn’t Zelensky rescue his fighters in Azovstal? Ukraine is winning the war, isn’t it?
Surrendering is trans-winning, dude. They self-identify as winning!
But they’re winning. Their leader Zelensky just got billion to play with.
NO, 80% for MIC – 10% for the big guy – 9% for Zelenski – 1% for the Ukrainian people.
The MIC got the lions share to build new weapons to replace the old shit they dropped off to Ukraine.
The combined might of the west and the corruption of Eurovision song contest didn’t help Ukraine.
It’s a very sad state of affairs when we have to start flippin’ Yandex translate to figure out what the heck is actually going on in the world. Wat the heck is going on With our Media?
The Fascist-controlled Western Media* reports as much Truth as we can handle.
CNN and CNBC said this morning “Putin won’t last another week.”
The MSM is pretending the Azovstal Fighters didn’t surrender. The Guardian called it an evacuation.
Welcome to Newspeak in the 21st century. Also, they are not NAZI fighters or mercenaries, they are heroes!
Even after all Ukrainian gov buildings are flying victory flags, the US media will still claim Putin’s losing the war. And most Americans will believe every word of it.
How far we have fallen, where are the Westerners?
It looks like the SARS-COV-2 took them out.
The Neo-nazi groups have taken Konrad Heiden’s WWII lies and model their narrative after that.
Now the Globalists can put the Neo-NAZIs up for the next Eurovision contest singing the Horst Wessel song while caressing copies of Mein Kampf handed out by the “Black Sun” magazine. It surely will win.
My comment: Maybe the Western population is not as stupid as the Globalist wants them to be.
The admiral was allegedly captured on either April 14 or May 15, not yesterday, and so far its only a rumor. Even if it turns out to be true, this guy has been retired for over a decade so it has plausible deniablity written all over it.
Adm. Eric Thor Olson’s only really proof is that picture but he has his head down with a cap. The guy has a very Scandinavian-American face. The face in the picture sure looks a lot like him and he had lost weight. They can make big side pay for these mercenary gigs. The dude whould have stuck with playing golf in retirement.
Everyone should be put on trial in DPR/LPR for the murder they inflicted on innocent people in DPR/LPR. If it is Olson and any other NATO officers or Mercs – they trained criminal gangster psychopaths not soldiers. You don’t shell innocent people. They are all cowards.
Plausible deniability reminds me of the 3 men (US Blackwater ex-marine mercenaries) in a boat looking to overthrow Maduro in Venezuela. The local fisherman alerted the coastguard and they now rot in a Venezuelan jail. Trumplethinskin knew nothing – ‘I know nothing’ he was quoted as saying. Like with the rest of the CIA -US- Blackwater- ZATO regime-change soirees, they forgot to inform POTUS, who was busy working on his 3rd and follow up jingle to ‘Lock Her Up’ & ‘Drain The Swamp’.
Bravo, hopefully the American public starts finding out the real information of what the US and other Western Governments are doing in Ukraine. Needless to say Trump was right about fake media, they need to apply the same principles to the international news that is censored. I have to play investigator reported to try to get out the right information from the war. The former wars in Yugoslavia were censored, but the Russian/Ukraine conflict is ten times worse.
I do think that the NEXT BIG WAR will be in the Middle East – NOT China.
Otherwise, America’s economy will tank: no products from China means ‘say goodbye to the US consumer economy’ – the only economy left standing in the US besides the Wall Street casino.
The Zionists want Iran bad, really bad.
And what the Zionists want, the Zionists always get.
A war with Iran would put the nail in the coffin of the energy supply chain. A gallon of gas would cost an ounce of gold. Half the lights are turned off in the west and we’d be living on a diet of rice and beans.
The US & ZATO are going fight China & Iran when they couldn’t defeat Vietnam, Taliban and Houthis. Yes and Russia would be supplying shit that works to both fronts and sending in proper trainers and special forces to assist. Those USS SS Waffen carriers will have to negotiate a school of nuclear subs.
Attacking Iran sure seems plausible. There is no country that the Zionists loath/fear more. It is surprising that Russia has not sold air defense systems to Iran. While it would probably end in disaster it would be much easier for the west to take on Iran instead of China.
No one outside Iran knows, but there is good reason to think that Iran has rather efficient air defense systems. We know they are using solid-state phased-array radar, and beyond that, the rest of radar is pretty much just software and DSP, stuff that has been around for decades. Missile design is an old art by now. Better missile fuels and’or explosive warheads ? I don’t know. Another thing I don’t know is how much technical cooperation goes on between Russia, China and Iran. My guess is that all the basic innovations are being shared, that the effect is more cumulative improvements than any big breakthrough, and that what is not shared are the exact implementations. Not shared due to national pride, but more importantly because compartmentalization means the details and any “Achilles heels” of one weapon system are not likely to be encountered against equivalent systems from one of the other three countries. So this maximizes the synergies and minimizes the risks of revealing strategic details. There is also plausible deniability of any mutual support, which gives the policy people a freer hand. Of course I’m not a genius, so if I thought of it, I’m sure the professionals were already working it out many years ago. My last point is we should not indulge in fantasies that only one of the three countries does most of the heavy lifting. All three nations have highly developed missile industries. The arts of radar and airspace surveillance are common to all three. Iran lacks in large scale satellite surveillance, but it brings to the table some of the world’s best AI for autonomous vehicles. World’s best AI ? Yes, they are champions in autonomous robot soccer tournaments, designed by undergraduates. I suppose the state-of-the-art semiconductors (microprocessors and high power microwave transistors and beam-shaping modules) come all or mostly from China because that’s from the top of a pyramid of “economies of scale” and very expensive wafer fabs. Russia is the only nation with proven hypersonic missiles and it has worked out the bugs of its air defense systems in actual combat. Of course I could be “reading this from the ceiling” as the Russians like to say, and another person’s ideas might be more accurate. I hope they never need to use this stuff in real combat, which would mean we may never know. But if we get to mid-summer and the West is still going like a bat out of hell, then we probably will find out.
Iran will fire 10’s of thousands of missiles into Israel, US bases in neighbouring gulf countries, close Hormuz, while its allies ‘Axis of Resistance’ in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, India, Pakistan, Oman, Qatar and Saudi itself will not be looking on scratching their asses. Everything US ZATO gone.
These suckers have been battering Yemen for many years without success, how does it beat an army of 200-300 million in the region and which has a first class domestic production of armaments.
I agree with you, that is why I don’t think they will go after Iran. I think the State Dept/DoD is planning on revisiting Syria.
They just sent some troops there and I think they will come up with some rationale to throw in thousands of additional troops. For the US it apparently based on the past 20 or so years it is not about winning. And if this history gives any indication, it indicates that US wars are about spending money, LOTS of money.
So if I am right it is off to Syria for yet another proxy war with Russia.
I don’t think that Russia will stand idle if Iran (or China) is attacked… but Iran is powerful enough to stand alone with plausible deniability of course. Payback for openly flooding the Ukraine with lethal weapons will be a bitch for NATO.
The sanctions from hell didn’t work out as the AZ empire had thought. There’ll be no shortage of S-400s in Iran’s possession, I’m sure.
“History Doesn’t Repeat Itself, but It Often Rhymes” – Mark Twain. If you figure out what had happened prior to WW1 and WW2 and compare it with what has been going on in Ukraine and soon plausibly in the East Asia you realize there are always same people who pull the trigger. Even though it is not obvious to the public, because these guys intentionally hide in the backstage like Azov guys in Mariupol steelworks’ caverns………Hint: almost all of them enjoy Eastern European origin…….
In 1917 there was famous “provocation” (Balfour Declaration) that brought the US to the WW1. However hardcore propaganda was required to brainwash US society and win acceptance for coming warfare. Thus change in national consciousness became the highest priority for President Wilson and his propaganda stooges. Suffice to look up for slogans like “make the world safe for democracy”, “minute men”, Espionage Act, Railroad Administration, War Revenue Act, Trading with the Enemy Act, Sedition Act and alike. Propaganda machine was in full speed. Sounds familiar? Please remember President Wilson and his administration was the author of Versailles Treaty indenture in June 1919, in complete violation of surrender terms accepted by Germany. Needless to say it had become the germ of the WW2 (same applies to set-up of post USSR breakdown in 1991 and how its terms and conditions were satisfied by consenting parties leading up to current SMO in Ukraine). However, in the so called meantime there were Dawes and Young’ Plans that hugely benefited the US. Following 1929-1933 Great Depression, Roosevelt’s New Deal policy temporarily boosted US GDP growth and substantially reduced massive unemployment, but finally this miserable Keynesian policy brought 1937-1938 economic recession resulting in crash of all securities’ exchanges (btw Krugman mentioned by Gonzalo Lira is an ardent worshiper of Keynesian macroeconomic policy……” fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me”…..).
“War is a racket”…..it truly is. Not surprisingly following provoked Pearl Harbor event in December 1941 (ultimatum to give back Indochina, US embargo on steel, FDR order not to warn Pacific Fleet on forthcoming “East wind rain” following intercepted message, etc), the US was “provoked” again and back “in the game” producing billions of US$ and becoming the world’s top creditor and effective ruler following Bretton Woods arrangements.
Are we heading yet again for another major world war being ignited by the same perpetrators? Plausible, but how much possible?……Having had all those historic lessons in mind, we the people, autonomously thinking human beings, as the collective cogent world, are we really going to make it possible? It is up to you folks in the US (or more precisely elected officials) to make the order in your courtyard to prove the world you can step up to the plate and make it finally right, legitimately and with high hopes for better world for next generations. I believe I will not exaggerate stating that majority of world’s citizens do hope you will make your homework properly………..finally
People ought not overlook that wars are often a means of controlling one’s own population. Wars are also a way of burning banking books. Given that the USD has managed to build up a global economic disaster and that it’s going to crash and burn a BIG war almost certainly HAS to happen. I am not championing anything here, just pointing out the connections and reasons.
It is unlikely that the USD’s role, the power shift from the US, will be passed along, such as was the case with Britannia and the Pound (which was “passed” to the US). Russia was the closest capable torch bearer but it wasn’t big/great enough to PULL it from the US. China’s ideology is just too far removed from the US’s (irrespective of one’s views of which ideology is better than the other) for any handover to China.
Several years back some higher-level Pentagon official(?) or high-ranking US military person commented that there wasn’t anyone out there that could act as a replacement for the US’s “security” role in the world: figure it being based on benevolence (which it is not, but play along anyway), the statement does make sense. Russia is now demonstrating an ability, but it’s not certain whether following a full duke-out with US/NATO that it would have the full bandwidth, if it even cared to do so, serve as the world’s policeman. There is, however, likely to be a bi-polar sphere-of-influence security arrangement in which the US will have to back away from certain areas (that’s kind of what’s happening now).
amarynth,
thank you for the quote and agree strongly with you analysis – gross underestimation of China. If memory serves, most US wargames against the PLA in the recent past (Obama administration) had China winning.
Chinese industry is changing day after day more and more high tech. Stupid them who think China is not in future strong military power too. It will be much more powerful than many can even guess.
With high tech? Much more powerful with high tech?? Dancing around with loose hand and smart high tech???
Happily China has Russia and North Korea as their bad arse friends and these two are really bad arses.
China will need them.
You are hoping and dreaming. The day Trump said he wanted to bomb China ,general millet got on the phone to tell them not to worry. He said that we have fail-safes in place, and everything has to go through him. China was ready to launch. Get that through your head.
Milley then went before congress to explain his phone call to the Chinese military. He said: ” I told them that when we are going to attack you will receive advance notice”. That is a quote.
China does not need Russia or anyone else to destroy America. Russia does not need China to lay waste the entire Europe and I am not even talking nuclear. But you are going to be completely humiliated, but find excuses. That’s what your propaganda is for. Lies and fiction.
The Jews that control you for decades pushed USA to attack Iran, but the bullying servants know better, for Iran can destroy the entire middle east. They are not even afraid of your bosses nuclear weapons.
A while back I said that this whole thing is white superiority and racism. People laugh about containing China as if you have an alternate plan. That is just plain bull sh.t! What you have is propaganda so take that to the grocery store or to buy gas.
Americans are never taught real history and you can’t even remember a few months ago. But remember this: America is the most racist country that shows it’s true colours every week. Killing black and all other coloured people is what makes you great.
You are the sickest society that I have ever studied and you were always going to self implode. Keep dreaming.
China is by no means a weakling unable to defend itself, as the Americans discovered to their cost and regret in Korea. The Chinese troops came flooding across the Imjin River and very nearly routed the whole US force in the mountains. That was soon after WW2 and a century of weakening Western and Japanese occupation, coming at the end of many centuries of peaceful civilisation.
Anyone who sees the Chinese soldier as a stunted weakling should read about how Westerners thought exactly the same about the Japanese in 1941. How could such small bandy-legged men be any good at war? With their thick corrective glasses they would surely be unable to control aircraft!
As I keep repeating, War is God’s way of teaching humans that they are NOT “superior” to other humans.
Chinese pacifism should not be confused with weakness or lack of determination. As the first human society to achieve civilisation, thousands of years ago, the Chinese underwent many destructive wars and eventually concluded – about during the European “Dark Ages” – that war was criminal waste and should be avoided at all costs. The status of soldiers – even generals – fell, and they were generally shunned. And this pacifism worked as long as the Celestial Empire was isolated from warlike nations.
Unfortunately there was a flaw – a huge one. Europeans, divided into scores of angry, vicious groups all fighting each other like cats in a bag, made rapid progress in the art and technology of war. In the 19th century they came calling, and the Chinese found to their horror that the barbarians were now their masters. It took over a century to attain independence, under Mao and the CCP, and then to build up the defences deliberately neglected for 1,000 years.
Today, while still peaceful and friendly to all, China is powerfully armed and can smash any attackers without exception. Moreover, it has an understanding with Russia that they will stand shoulder to shoulder.
And we have not even considered the level of private debt or some $220 Trillion of unfunded liabilities.
Tell us again how a rapidly devaluing piece of paper from overprinting which is backed by nothing but carpetbagging hot air is so all ‘powerful’. I think my sides have split and my head is about to fall off from all the laughing.
“The US government budget deficit = The private sector surplus to the penny.” No they can’t sell sell their debt anymore to the world and so Fed buys them instead.
To summaries what has been written in explicit, rather than implicit, terms:
1. There is no dispute as to the figures supplied in regard to the liability side of the equation.
2. The claim is that the USA possess assets of sufficient value to cover those liabilities.
3. The assumption implicit in the claim set out in 2, above, is that the USA is able to find buyers for those assets to meet its liabilities.
Some valid figures to substantiate the claim made in respect of item 2, above, would be useful.
Particularly when any other country with such debt levels would be subject to punitive IMF and World Bank structural adjustments to its economy.
On a side note: with such levels of unsustainable debt it is perhaps comprehensible, though far from laudable, that the USA and its handlers in the City of London, are constantly having to resort to the most desperate acts of international piracy – stealing the gold and assets of numerous other Countries which have an equal right to the resources of the planet – to make ends meet and keep their elites in the manner to which they accustomed.
As seen in the recent example of the British driving a custom made Rolls Royce containing a priceless gold hat with a 317-carat diamond and 400 other jewels, to a £2.5 billion palace, where it was placed next to a gold chair in which sat one of the world’s richest oligarchs, who told 2 million starving Britons that there is no money to feed them.
Though, of course, there is plenty of fiat printed money available to lavish on fellow Nazis in Ukraine.
And of course, as claimed the US economy is doing absolutely spiffing. As demonstrated in this recent video taken in Philadelphia of people out and about picking up gold dollars from the streets and open skips in scenes reminiscent of ‘Sean of the Dead.’
Here is me thinking that printing trillions of dollars out of thin air without a comparative growth in real GDP would have consequences!!! So why don’t we print zillions and feed the world!
The US military may think China is a pushover, but as grossly underarmed as China was in 1950, the fought the massively superior in firepower USA to a draw in Korea.
I have no doubt that China would repel the US in the Taiwan Straits. But no ten countries combined could invade and subjugate the US mainland. Sadly, the US is not content to merely defend its borders.
*sighs* read my post again. Hitting the US with a hypersonic is not tantamount to invading and subjugating a country of 335 million. Mine is neither a swipe at China nor a defense of Empire. If anything, it is a jibe against the visceral fear of invasion, on the part of the US, that has led to its nasty habit of projecting power overseas.
The biden admin has already brought in over 1 million illegal military age males, and is housing them in tent camps on military bases. The numbers are right in the federal illegal immigration reports. There is only one conclusion that can be reached.
I completely agree with what you stated. The argument that we need to fight them over there so that we don’t have to fight them over here is complete BS. If the US would except its rightful place in the world then all of these conflicts could be avoided.
No one is looking to militarily invade the US. As other’s have mentioned with our open borders no one needs to invade even if they wanted to.
Why would anyone of sound mind wish to invade a bankrupt well on its way to being a shithole depraved country? You’re wrecking, or rather watching on as America implodes from within.
Rather than talk about invasion you should be talking overthrow. That’s how deluded Americans are, no idea of who the real enemy is. Nil by mouth/head cognitive dissonance.
Why would anyone want to invade or occupy the US a country with four times as many guns as people,? Just destroy their armies carriers and their overseas bases and let them fight a civil war for the next ten years
true, the world will be burning before any foreign human force lands on the mainland US. that said, only 1 US aircraft carrier needs to be sunk and US aura of invincibility will be severely hurt. a few F35 downed and they wont sell for that high a price anymore. directly affecting the US’ arms sales will be just as devastating than an invasion. who in their right mind would invade a country where guns outnumber total population.
“But no ten countries combined could invade and subjugate the US mainland.”
The thing is, the people living in the U.S. are already “subjugated” to a Satanically evil “government” just like Ukranian citizens.
What here in the U.S. is worth defending with your life? Wokeism? Ubiquitous in-your-face public and private corruption? Forced toxic “vaccinations”? Outrageous military spending? Out of control violent crime? Confiscatory property taxation? Reckless money printing, unaffordable housing, unaffordable health care, and most recently, unaffordable food, fuel and other necessities? Only totally brainwashed flag-waving blowhards (of which there are apparently quite a few, unfortunately) would be willing defend this evil monstrosity with their lives.
Sad but true. But where else to go? The globe is undergoing a reversion to the mean. The West collectively is going down and the elites realize the only way is to go back to nobles and surfs so they can rule in hell. I pray it won’t be so bad for the average American but understand the next generations will not enjoy our standard of living but humans adapt.
No Lewin, invasion of the US mainland cannot happen given the number of private/ citizens’ militia and gun ownership in the States.
Obviously there’s no point in invading if the territory cannot be occupied. The same dilemma faced the Japanese in WWII re: invasion plans of Australia – they decided against it as their supply lines would be too stretched to occupy that landmass.
The US is ripe for civil war/revolution and like most empires in history is decaying from within.
Notice how the ‘Trump-Russia collusion’ hoax faded away in the corporate mainstream media as soon as Trump lost power? Notice how the “Russia-Ukraine crisis” is fading away as the US/NATO proxy forces are being continually routed in the Ukraine?
My guess is that this is the opening salvo by the US corporate media preparing the US public for the Democrats being humiliated in the November Midterm elections, allowing the Trump-for-2024 to build up a full head of steam – and of course keeping the American public polarized.
The US is a weary empire lead by the tail of the City of London, aka The City, thrashing around in its death throes.
God help us if orange hair ever gets even close to the Oval Office, for if he does people will have to pay the business sector to even work for them, and of course the first thing on his agenda will be another tax cut for the 1% for after all they need it worse than the millions living in poverty. Trump was a disaster and so was his term in office it’s time to elect someone that doesn’t have one foot in the grave already, it’s time to elect someone who has at least some integrity rather than the same old 1% supported by the 1% who have bought the government and politicians.
They are all disasters and one person, a Tulsi Gabbard, cant bear a whole rotten system on its shoulders.
Facts is Trump made jobs, civil infrastructure projects, closed the human trade at Mexico’s borders, made laws against the Democrats socialist exploitation to protect the elderly, stopped the eternal war games at North Korea’s border and tried to pull US troops home, made a one man war against MSM, pulled US out of the WHO and Clima game, stopped the ISIS cult and more.
Trump made mistakes and didnt have sufficient and the right support behind him, but compared to the long list of Obama liberal evilness, Trump tried.
Im not a Trump supporter as I count them all to be too infested, but facts are facts.
What facts, Trump let in just as many illegals/legals as all the rest, the difference being he wanted to pick and chose those he let in. What jobs did he create, none around here or anywhere else I suspect, as far as ISIS they are still around, but Trump isn’t, where’s those wonderful infrastructure jobs he created none that I have ever read about but then again stealing Syrian oil may be called an infrastructure job, but most would call it by its rightful name which is stealing, but he did let the BLM destroy a number of cities costing over a billion dollars because he lacked the guts to call out the military and put it down, but he did cut the taxers on the wealthy I suppose some would look at that as a plus, meanwhile that little little tax cut he gave the working class was eaten up by the tariffs and inflation. No, as Speer said about Hitler it’s hard to recognize the devil when he has his hand on your shoulder so shake it off he was no better than any of the rest who have camped out in that office nothing but a poster boy for the wealthy and 1% taking care of their needs like the trillions he poured into Wall Street to protect their wealth.
I,m not worried at all. For a few years ago I came up with the news that China has reached the number of it,s soldier to 200 miljons. I was astonished. That,s the fact of today. I will just say this : good bye USA. I,m not going to miss you. Because you gave us all hatred in so many years and I will cry out that Babylone has fallen.
Since the US is dependent on Chinese imports I don’t see how they can prevail. China does not want a major war with the US and the west but if they are backed into a corner then they are going to react.
One thing that they could do is to start dumping their US treasury holdings at a significant loss. It would be a very disruptive move but they could probably take the loss easier than the US could absorb much higher interest rates. One thing for sure is that it would be crippling for western consumers.
A breakdown in trade would damage both parties. It would be a loss in markets for the Chinese with a potential slowdown in economic activity in China. The only way they could sell US Treasuries at a discount would be if the sale pushed down the value of the US dollar. Could happen. In the long run a declining dollar would help our domestic industry, but in the short run – say the next election – it would push up the cost of imported goods, an inflation problem.
Seeing we don’t really have any domestic industries left anymore for China has those too, why I can’t really see as too much harm would be done, the dollar is a joke it’s like confetti and buys just about as much the stock market is the other joke as the Fed. and 1% keep the value of the stocks over inflated, after all it must not fail.
I don’t see dumping Treasuries en mass as a viable move. The US government has basically dictatorial powers available in such a situation and they’ll simply put a stop to it and maybe seize them indefinitely or just outright steal them as was done with Russia’s foreign reserves.
They’re doing something more subtle and not adding to the enormous pile they already have. The pile is being eroded by inflation and China’s GDP grows every year so it’s less and less significant.
Not really, for they can be turned at any Central Bank, which they did when China turned a few billion into the Central Bank I believe in Belgium a few years back.
Mostly agree with Gonzalo. However, the Americans need to keep in mind that the “little Yuan” knows Kung Fu and is the author of ‘Art or War’, which might give more than some ‘broken balls’ to the yard bully. Gonzalo is not accurate in saying that People Republic of China is not a warrior nation – the PRC is replete with history of war – from the 3 warring kingdoms to the most recent of WW2 to helping in Korea and Vietnam and other conflicts (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Chinese_wars_and_battles and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wars_involving_the_People%27s_Republic_of_China). PRC is not afraid of war, they have been preparing for it.
The Russian Federation will support the People Republic of China – whatever that may entail.
Actually, I strongly think that the Islamic Republic of Iran will be the next target. It is comparatively much weaker than either the Russian Federation or the Peoples Republic of China. The Zion dwellers have been salivating with the thought of the US directly attacking Islamic Republic of Iran for them.
The confrontation of Russian Federation with AngloZionist NATO is not yet done. The Russian Federation will push NATO back to the 1997 borders. Dealing with Ukraine is the beginning of this fight till the finish.
Not to sure about Iran don’t sell it short for every time they have gamed an attack on Iran they have lost a carrier and some of their escorts, then of course you have the straits which much of the oil come down probably $150 barrel of oil wouldn’t suit anyone but then again you never can tell what deranged people will do.
Big news if you google “russia fires on israeli jets in syria” and pick your favourite propaganda outlet. You will see that russian controlled s-300 fired at israeli jets over syria the other day. Apparently its big news and a first. Israelis probably thought theres no blowback for ukraine .and has 6 million free tickets for bad intent. Maybe the story is overhyped maybe not. Russia didnt lock on with their s400 but could be losing patience with israel in the syrian theatre
I love how those people who voted for Biden thought they were ushering in a new era of peace. I’m not exaggerating – somebody wrote me at the time and said “everything’s going to be ok now”.
Good views. But honestly, I think that the Chinese see this coming. And if war is really intended as Lira states, the issue will be Taiwan, something that China cannot refrain from. Commercial and utterly materialistic as they are they will take any provocation or humiliation possible. But not Taiwan. And let me tell you something. They Chinese might not be good at war, but they are stubborn enough to kick western imperial ass out of China during a 20+ year liberation war. And they will use the N card no problem as they can take 300 million casualties whereas the US can not take 3 million casulaties. If Lira is right about this, expect to see the West Coast US cities burning to the ground.
Think you’re a little confused aren’t you it’s not the deaths, but what it would do to their economy that’s the driving force behind the lock-downs which seems to have worked very well for them. Meanwhile nothing seems to work very well for us, our county had over 400 new case’s the last month, industry what little we have left are crying the blues for help, but the wages aren’t going anywhere and people are sick of working jobs where they can just make ends meet, and the dollar buys less and less and far to many businesses treat their help like dog shit, and we have a few like that around here who think it’s a grand privilege to even work there.
Vizzini in The Princess Bride said “Ha-ha, you fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders, the most famous of which is “Never get involved in a land war in Asia,” but only slightly less well known is this: “Never go in against a Sicilian, when death is on the line!””
Well, getting into a land war in Eur-Asia appears to also a blunder. As will be a naval war near Asia.
The other quote from The Princess Bride which may apply to US strategy, is Vizzini’s frequent statement when things go not as expected: “Inconceivable!”
Russia is a sore loser bound to lose this war and be a pariah, says an ex chines diplomat in official chinese media https://gaodawei.wordpress.com/2022/05/10/fmr-prc-amb-to-ukraine-on-russias-impending-defeat-and-international-relations/
and old schmuel Kissigrer claims it too.
Scott Riter also made HUGE U turn, to some extent, The War in Ukraine. Scott Ritter’s Switcheroo: “Why I Radically Changed My Overall Assessment”
However, everything goes well according to the plan, Saint Saker, old boy Martyanov, Escobar, stop trolling.
And Hohols artillery reached the state border and is shelling russian civillians without any resistance from Russians. Where is your airforce, for example? US howitzers are sheling you, about 1000 km away from Polish border. How could ukrops brougt them there, no javelin to be smugled in small cars, but HUGE pieces plus HUGE amounts of ammo a gtrained crew and maintainace people.
Please start inform reality and not Martyanov, Escobar and Saker-like fantasies. Russian have no progress and ukrop are live and kicking you. We are with Russia, but not stupid people and fanatics.
Russian profi solders may lost war, now it ought to save conscripts?
Wonder, if you censors allow this comment.
However, again, I am with Russia, but is a painful to see all the guys like being taken perhaps from comrade Brezhnev era or Afg and pretending things have been going well. This is no SMO, this is a real war and time is against Russia.
Dr. Dawei Gao, American, D.C. co-founder and president of the Global Service Center for Quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) asserted that the natural disasters China is undergoing, referring to the earthquake in Sichuan, is an indication from heaven that the CCP is crumbling.

Azov should like this….
The linked piece is by Gao Yusheng, retired China Ambassador to Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Usbekistan (2000 – 2007).
Also Special Representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the issues of UN system reform .
The US version of reform was an attempt to exclude Russia from the UNSC – impossible.
NATO operates parallel to the UNSC.
American ex-diplomat David Cowhig, who worked for ten years in the US Embassy in Beijing seems to be Dr. Dawei Gao.
Looks like Yusheng is their man in Beijing.
The swasticas are for freedom, the rainbow colours are for liberty.
Thanks to someone that there is still freedom, gay marriages and liberty in Taiwan, which is still part of the free and civilised International community against the axis of pure evils. (sarc)
We do not know when the Ukraine acquired the howitzers., They may have had them before the war started. I think that this is more likely as Russia has not held back in attacking western Ukraine depots.
The Donbas is the current Russian objective. Defeating the UAF there will eliminate their best troops and the majority of their weapons. If problems develop around Kharkov look for Russia to commit more forces there if needed. We should just be patient and see how things go.
Yes, it true, hoewer still have artillery and verz proper system for using the batteries to strike Russians fatally, helis, aircraft they have and Ru MoD reports about the losses seem to be farce, ukies are still capable of maneuvers, have diesel. functional transport infrastructure even to thee front, their trenches are still OK and are shelling Russians army, Lugansk land and newly Russia over border and much more. And more important, still they are able to bring to the frontline lots of ammo. After how many days and how many artillery strikes, kinzhal and iskanders? Elensky I presume still can flush his WC in Kijev and no problem with electricity light to snort his white powder properly by nights.
If Russia wants to keep the conquered territories, it must first be officially at war with Ukraine. It depends on the development of the situation with NATO. For now, it is not official in the war with Ukraine because not all conditions are met. When Ukraine “finds the strength” to declare war on the Russian Federation, then Kiev will be conquered and all territories that are interesting to Russia will be annexed to the Russian Federation. And that will be completely legal under international law. Just as the Kuril Islands belong to Russia after WWII. The Russians know what they are doing. It is impossible to compare American aggression around the world based on lies and this Russian action in Ukraine. Of course, these are wars, but they are based on completely different bases. That of course has its price. But how else to execute?
What a rag, I had a good laugh. This article is full of peremptive statements backed by no demonstration or argument, wild speculations and falsehoods. And what a coincidence that the interviewee was a former ambassador in Ukraine, surely this couldn’t lead to any possible bias?
Your fake concern is deplorable, are you by any chance part of that infamous Israel troll farm paid by their governement?
Something about the Ritter u-turn struck me as odd. It lacks the spark of genuineness, and it appears at the same time as a fake Youtube channel under his name appears to dominate the search engines. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that his livelihood was threatened and he was “advised” to take a line more consistent with U.S. interests. He is, after all, still connected to the MIC due to his veteran status and has had legal issues in the past. In any event, his “analysis” lacks the rigor and is devoid of the same logic as his past efforts.
The crux of the concern expressed by Ritter in this video is two fold:
1. That some howitzers got through to the front line.
2. That there are, to quote directly from Ritter, ‘a million people’ somewhere in the rear being trained to handle modern equipment supplied by the West for a future counter offensive.
In regards the first issue it seems somewhat fanciful to expect a 100% success rate in intercepting and/or destroying such equipment to prevent it getting to the front line. What Ritter implicitly appears to be indicating here is that he actually expects this to be the case and appears somewhat shocked that such unrealistic expectations have not occurred. An odd position to adopt given his experience.
In respect of item two the question arises as to why it is that after eight years of NATO training Ukraine is sending shed loads of poorly equipped local defence volunteer militia forces with limited training, designed for local defence, to the front line when it has a better trained million strong force miles behind the line?
To get to the point of being in a position of being able to be trained on more sophisticated armaments, as suggested by Ritter, those people, all one million of them, will have had to go through at least three months basic training at a minimum and then spend some time acquiring the necessary experience in working units.
Does this million strong force actually exist? Or is it another figment of the MUOORMIC ? (Making Up Our Own Reality Military Idiotic Clownshow).
To have any legs or be congruent with reality this claim would by necessity require acceptance of the notion that for the best part of three months:
– whilst its front line troops were being decimated several times over requiring reinforcement with the equivalent of ‘Dads Army’ level replacements;
– its best forces surrounded on the Donbass contact line;
– and its most fanatical elements destroyed and humiliated in Mariupol and its steel works
the Ukraine and its Western handlers deliberately kept a million strong force out of the fighting.
Conceivable? Maybe its Zelensky’s way of getting rid of the right wing fanatics? Who knows? TBH (and I accept I might well be operating on unreliable data) I’m still confused as to the situation with Gonzalo Lira in this regard. My understanding is that:
– he was taken into custody by the Ukrainian Security Services not so long ago and there were fears for his safety?
– he is still in the same city he was located prior to this event.
– that city remains under the control of the Ukrainians rather than the Russians.
Yet despite this he is now back broadcasting videos critical of Ukraine and its Western handlers.
Is there something I am missing? If not the question arises as to why is this being permitted? Is their some factionalism in the Ukraine Government and Security Services using the West to get rid of its militants? WTF is going on?
In regards Ritter’s recent analysis, it seems to have one thing in common with the approach taken by others like Paul Craig Roberts as well as those backing the Ukraine in the West. Which is that regardless of whether they are opponents or proponents of what the West is doing and has done they all have one thing in common: A Western orientated notion of what war should be and how it should be prosecuted.
I suspect this flawed framework lies at the heart of the thinking of Ritter, among others. Limiting the scope of their analysis.
He’s been targeted by the CIA, it’s obvious. If he had changed his opinion he would never say it publicly since he’s pro-Russian. Besides what are the odds an ex UN-inspector talking against the US governement would be stupid enough to keep infantile pronography on his computer? He obviously was framed at the time, and “someone” kindly reminded him what could happen if he was keeping publicly laughing at NATO. It’s nothing unexpected, just look at what happened to Assange.
“Russia will probably drag out the war at least until the end of this year in order to put pressure on the West”, – adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine
According to Andrusiv, Russia hopes that the energy crisis, which will arise closer to winter, will force the West to negotiate with Russia on its terms.
It is true that the U.S. and the E.U. thought they were pushing Russia into a corner thru the threat of NATO. They failed to realise that NATO had fractured, had lost its sense of unity, was in essence a busted flush.
Russia called their bluff and will carry the day. Ukraine as we knew it is a thing of the past. And all those deluded Nazis will find their way, those that survive, into western Europe where they will not mix well.
So it’s on to China? What hubris! If Viet Nam can, and did, hand the Yanks their arse on a plantain leaf, what in the world do they imagine China will do?
So. The US may “steal China’s USD reserves” in the event they “pivot to China” as Gonzalo says the US needs another war and China looks beatable, unlike Russia.
Why does the US need another war front to be opened up?
Gonzalo suggests it is to shore up political support for Uncle Joe’s run in the November mid-terms.
There’s bigger fish to fry.
The USD has already lost 89.9% of it’s purchasing power parity since 1971 compared to gold.
The Chinese would welcome another front opening up in the “hybrid total war” by the US that will destroy the USD completely
because China can trade in gold substitutes.
By my estimates they have 44,000 tonnes
( undeclared of course ) as reserve assets to underpin any transaction settled through the Shanghai Gold Exchange ( SGE ).
The DXY index shows a turnaround and is selling off anyway. The “fear trade” is dumping the USD for hard assets.
Paradoxically any more seizures of USD reserves by the US will kill the currency faster than is already the case. But they already know this. You’re not supposed to. It’s all smoke and mirrors. A shell game.
The US needs another war to direct attention away from the collapse of it’s currency and then blame it on China.
The desperation in Washington is palpable and any pretext will do.
Excellent analysis, as always, but Gonzalo did not say a word about China’s close military alliance with Russia. An American war against China is almost the same as an American war against Russia. Please, pay attention to theatricality.
Pentagon-Funded Think Tank Simulates War With China On NBC https://caitlinjohnstone.substack.com/p/pentagon-funded-think-tank-simulates?s=r
Trump wanted to get along with Russia, invited Xi to Mare Lago, and the insane crazies destroyed his Admin.
He fired Bannon, who is utterly insane anti-China, doing his Aristocratic masters’ bidding.
These freaks see Ukraine as a delay to a China pivot.
“If Russia emerges from this conflict as a weakened version of itself, and Germany makes good on its defense spending pledges, both trends could allow the U.S. to focus more on the Indo-Pacific in the long run.”
says CNAS’ Richard Fontaine.
So Germany’s role is to build back a better NATO Wall from Finland to Romania.
I take it as a given that we are not so massively stupid as to want another ground war in Asia. Thus a war between us and China would be a war of hardware. The Chinese have only recently started to spend big bucks on war hardware, thus we have an enormous head start.
Probably Washington just wants a state of tension. In a real shooting war I doubt Taiwan by itself would hold up. The outcome of us getting directly involved would depend on whether or not they can sink an Aircraft carrier. Apparently, the prevailing thinking is that they can.
War with China? They’ve already said: “The US can kill us ten times over. We know. But we can kill US one time.” After the first US strike, China will devastate key parts of US, once. China will rebuild and US will starve.
The broken window fallacy is a parable that is sometimes used to illustrate the problem with the notion that going to war is good for a nation’s economy. Its wider message is that an event that seems to be beneficial for those immediately involved can have negative economic consequences for many others.
The broken window fallacy was first expressed by the 19th-century French economist Frederic Bastiat.
A lot of comments about China’s military power.
You might want to listen the video again.
He is talking about a shipping disruptive cold war.
China military is not able to protect its shipping lines or project its military power to far islands as the Solomon.
As for the selling of Tresuries:
1. They are held in NY, so the selling can be stoped at anytime. Like they did to Russia.
2. Selling does not exist. It is always an exchange. So, an exchange for what?
Selling Treasuries is the government borrowing money. The only way they can stop selling treasuries is to stop borrowing. Instant balanced budget.
Plus the roll over. Treasures are maturing all the time. To maintain a steady state they have to keep selling more to cover the redemptions.
To get straight to the point, if we do anything that causes the foreign holders of US debt to think that we are not a reliable borrower, that will be the beginning of the end of the US dollar as a stable currency.
>>2. Selling does not exist. It is always an exchange. So, an exchange for what?
Fundamentally it is borrowing money. Go to a bank and get a loan. The exchange is: one side gets the money up front, the other side gets a legal document that requires that the money be repaid. (typically plus a little extra)
Government is borrowing from a Central Bank of which nobody knows who the owners really are. Thus, these bank fraudsters are earning returns by printing money over and over again.
There are other financial instruments but Treasures are a major form of government borrowing. They are loan and the government raises money with them by selling them at an auction. I think it is every Tuesday or most Tuesdays. The purchasers of the loans are known. I am not sure in what detail, but it is not a secret. The Secret Central Bank doesn’t pass the simplest smell test. The lending is all public with known borrowers and sellers.
The Trail eventually leads to the Rothchild’s and other’s, that is no “secret” . Further, there is no need for a central bank, it is useless.. The government should be selling and buying treasuries without a central bank intermediary.
China can appropriate all US assets on its territory, as well as all its patents and trademarks. That’s worth a lot more than the American bonds that China may own. In less than 25 minutes USA would be left with nothing.
@John Stone
I was referring to previous comments about CHINA selling its reserves (TSY and cash).
Not about the US managing its currency or debt.
@Mario
Of course every sanction have a symmetric /asymmetric answer.
Nonetheless, China cannot get rid of their reserves, rise US rates or devalue the USD.
If China were to take such a measure, the interest rate and the US exchange rate would not be of the slightest importance. The dollar would cease to exist as a reserve currency as well as the USA itself as we know it.
PS: In fact, I think the latter will happen even if China does not take such a step.
The Americans always underestimated the Asians’ capability of fighting a war. It took them 4 yrs to beat Japan, they got kicked back to the 38th parallel after the Inchon landing during the Korean War and the Vietnamese kicked the Americans’ butts for 12 yrs during the Vietnam War. The arrogant Americans called the Asians “gooks”. Well, let’s see who is going to look like a gook once the Chinese sink a couple or more US carriers.
When MacArthur met with Kennedy in 1962, in New York City, he explicitly warned Kennedy against conducting a land war in Asia, and the West cannot win a war in Asia without a commitment to waging a land war.
What I find interesting is that Paul Krugman wants war with China and at the same time he wants to import Chinese Legal Immigrants so as to race-replace the Historic Native Born White American Working Class Majority…..
And Krugman has been a cheerleader for this policy for years. And don’t tell me Krugman doesn’t advocate this because I know Krugman’s views very well.
They tried to defeat China by defeating Russia first because Russia is a major support pillar of the BRI and a major strategic ally.
Now that they’ve found they can’t beat Russia they’re going to bite the bullet and fight China directly.
Problem is like with Russia the fight with China isn’t going to work out in the way they want.
The Empire of Lies is a rabid animal. The closer to its death the more it will thrash about wildly. The challenge for the sovereign world is to contain it to minimize the damage to the world as it goes through this process.
This is Ukrainians. Russia wont impress anybody with East-European cannonfodder. Its like a cat coming home proud presenting a dead mouse on your doormat.
I guess that if the US would badly need a war for election reasons, it will go against Cuba, Venezuela or better Nicaragua.
What would happen if China stops shipping goods to the US for a week? Surely the Chinese will suffer, but I suspect that the American will experience a much more catastrophic scenario. When real, physical goods are out of stock, no financial windows-dressing or media propaganda can change that reality since EVERY trade and business will be almost halted.
Also, I read that the Chinese have developped an anti-carrier missile. What if they manage to sink two of them early on? The perception of the US as a mighty military power may be seriously compromised, and the search for a Dollar substitute may accelerate.
One idea could be true. The Russian grinding of UAF is not spectacular and it takes time. Then the American lose interest in it.
Russians are now winning under the eyes of the world but under the radar of the West. It’s not spectacular therefore it is invisible.
The propaganda needs spectacular actions. The Russian strategy depletes the scene from that very thing. It opposes the propaganda war in a great way. Russia has a plan and is implementing it.
In case I’m correct, the propaganda war is being defeated by unspectacular actions on the field. The wake up will be painful in the West.
I have a strong feeling that within the next few days the Ukrainian army would capitulate, that is, either the field commanders would lay down arms or the there will be a full capitulation.
Capitulation of the army would not be a good sign for Zelensky… don’t think he can run the country from Poland with any authority. Not too many leaders in exile have successfully governed nations if history is any guide.
It will be very hard for the Ucranian autorities to push regular trops to sacrifice themselves under Russian artillery while having spared the lifes of the Azovstal personnel because they are “valuable people”.
I’d be surprised if those related communications and videos don’t reach the trenches in the Donbass.
Brilliant analysis but ignoring one major point. For US to approach China mainland is using their air carriers which will be destroyed hundreds of miles away with a simple mid-distance missiles and without any air cover by the US
This doesn’t seem entirely right – if Donbass is not interesting enough, if Kharkov or Mykolaiv (Nikolajev) or even Dnepro(petrovsk) don’t arouse interest in the MSM, then surely Odessa (Kiev?) will. By then, most of the European states are in one way or another involved and deeply invested, suffering from self-imposed sanctions, but blaming wrongdoing and misfortune on Russia. Poland and Baltic states will be hysteric, claiming the imminent fall of Western Civilization.
Paul Krugman&Co will be well on their way of getting war economy going. Though – to make a clear cut in the future – it would be necessary then to lump China with Russia. Thinking this way, it seems very important that Russia would be able to withstand the storm alone as long as possible, simply for the sake of Saker’s Zone B.
One cannot forget the Perfidious One with its Black Propaganda neither.
***
On a different note, it would be interesting to know if China has anything new to offer in the area of AI (artificial intelligence), artillery and drone network integration. Russian “voenkors”, war reporters on Telegram channels quite often praise UAF artillery’s outstanding work.
There’s seems to be an incredible amount of jokers on this particular thread who overestimate US-ZATO military capabilities.
Shows that Mr Lira has hit on a main nerve.
You Americans here, if you don’t wish to sink into total oblivion and become a grouping of tin-pot Latin American dictatorships then I suggest looking inwards and producing stuff because your greenback is trending towards Weimar status.
Work you lazy bastards, quit thieving, living off the genocide of others.
Don’t understand why my comment to that clown Jensen was kept on hold. MOA says some people’s comments are being restricted, not by the site.
Dollars, dollars, dollars as Jensen says not understanding that it rose the inflation rate to 7.5%. Then not realizing that countries around the world was buying USA debt, but that is coming to an end.
Too many trolls are on this site. They have hundreds of racist, ignorant websites to air their frustration.
Might be a good opportunity for payback to the West… Opportunity of good supply and sales of Russian weapons to the Chinese … not to mention some intelligence.
The USUKEUNATO never hid the fact that they were flooding Ukraine with weapons to ensure a long lasting war.
I do not agree with Gonzalo. If the Americans really believe that they can start and than win a war against China they have to adjust their medication urgently. Not only Russia was a land power but also China. For long centuries. While Russia does not try to become a naval power, they have different views about the military importance of the navy, China recognised long decades ago that it is not enough to be a land power. They learnt this the hard way actually from the Japanese. China just didn’t have the technology and the finances. However as soon as they had the financial backing they aquired the necessary technology as much as they could and developed the rest. Now they operate two aircraft carriers and one or two are in construction. If necessary they are prepared to build 10 or 20 at the same time. According to experts’ opinion the most formidable army on land is not that of Russia but of China. The US could not beat China 70 years ago when China had less than 10% of the military power than it has today. So they seriously considered to use nuclear weapons against China. That was the reason Mao decided to make China a nuclear power which it has been since the sixties. Only mentally deranged exceptionalist jews of the (Deep) State Department can believe that they can mess with the China of the 21. century and can get away wit it.
You heard what you wanted, Gonzalo never said US war against China, he said the conflict, already under way, will take place in the Soloman Islands with Australia being a proxy of US.
Cheers M
China also has base in Africa and base in India, you think Sammy ain’t eye’n up trouble ie. war in those places.
Does Uncle $hmuel really want a war with China? What will the U$ do without China’s
manufacturing, since they make nothing but weapons, which may be good for some, but you can’t eat them. If they do launch an attack on China, all I can say is Go CHINA, rid the world of the U$ military once and for all.
Surely, the Scott Ritter stark reversal of opinion is very strange and highly suspicious .How can he be trusted to be a creditable commentator after alleging he was so wrong?
Not shocking to know that national relations are an extension of high school BS!
The late great comedian George Carlin elucidated this point very well back in the early ‘90’s in relation to George Bush senior and Saddam Hussein, the military industrial complex and bullets, bombs and rockets.
Check out Jammin’ In New York 1992 and you will see exactly what I mean, and this was 30 years ago!
WW2 got the US economy out of the depression and into prosperity. US things it can do so again. But 1.4 billion Chinese vs. 25 million kangoos? LOL! Australia will end up like ukraine. That’s how its’ gonna end.
US miscalculated in Iraq, Afghanistan, ukraine, and it will do so again with Australia. And the end-result will be Australian economic collapse, and liberation of Taiwan.
If the Chinese overseas reserves are stolen the Chinese could seize the manufacturing plants producing say Apple products rebrand them as say “Pear”, tell the west they are not recognising trade mark/ patents any more and blow Apple out of the market.
Anti-ship missiles will take care of the 11 American Carrier Battlegroups.
I think China will win any Military/trade war if it happens
Gonzalo Lira is not an expert in military science, and he has no insight into what is going on in the Pentagon. Also, I wonder what he means when he says that the US can “beat” China. Will the US occupy China or even a small piece of it? Highly doubtful.
Moreover, the 11 carrier battle groups are extremely vulnerable to modern anti-ship missiles, which China is said to possess. In other words, those aircraft carriers can very quickly become coffins at the bottom of the sea. I wonder how the American public would react to thousands of sailor’s drowning in a completely unnecessary war of choice. Carriers are considered by many experts to be an outdated platform for projecting power. Don’t take my word for it. Read Andrei Martyanov’s “Losing Military Supremacy.”
As much as I enjoy listening to you and share your opinion on the Empire having pivoted to China as an officially acknowledged enemy, and on said Empire constantly begging for war, I believe one ought not underestimate the “little” Chinese, Gonzalo… The Empire once underestimated the “little” Vietnamese. We both know how costly to the Empire that imperial mistake ended up being.
Spectacularly, millenary modern China is back on the forefront of the world stage, arguably for the fifth time in the long history of that unique civilisation. Modern China thinks and lives long-term. Not having what it takes to defeat modern China, the West better not mess with it. Otherwise, this is my safe bet: ultimately, the so-called “exceptionally indispensable” Empire is bound to fail one more time. More miserably and deeply humiliated than ever before. Advantageously, that can and should be avoided.
Not so. The US must be taught a lesson, otherwise they will keep on doing what they do, even if in a more limited way. Ideally, the US would be broken up into four, five or more competing nations.
I get the idea that Gonçalo in Ukraine is getting very excited about weapons. The US has been at war with China for a long time. But there will be no military conflict with China.
In fact, this war in Ukraine was intended to affect both Russia and China. He didn’t just want to disconnect Russia from the EU to weaken the EU and catch the big Russian energy companies again as in the 1990s when they bankrupted Russia with the low price of oil combined with the Saudis. Look at the Russian oligarchs who have disappeared like Tinkoff. They were all US allies.
And China badly needs Russian energy to continue to grow. And I also don’t know what the US thinks of China’s military might, but if they think what Gonçalo says, they are deeply mistaken. Where Russia’s alliance with China is strongest is at the military level. Another certainty I have is that the US is bankrupt. And it will only get worse without the oil.
US – NAYOYO strategy will sacrifice European economies to a natural gas embargo. They will induce starvation in the rest of the world through interruption of fertilizer supplies and grain imports added to huge fuel price inflation. US 10% (1% oligarchs + 9% ‘Eichmann’ collaborators) can’t be expected to defend democracy, expand human rights, maintain an incorruptible rule of ‘law’, or manage the most important part of world’s economy.
Art Buchwald, “I always wanted to go into politics, but I wasn’t light enough to make the team.”
US opponents go to bed drunk with the knowledge their enemy is led by a school-yard gang of arrogant, corrupt, brutally stupid bigots. It makes Iran, China and Russia look like soft beds of stability, reason and restraint to the rest of the world.
Thus is Russia’s revenge for years of NATO abuse and lies: they get to laugh as the White West destroys itself, and all credibility in their senile societies. The World watches as corruptly elected, 1% serving bigots cripple Western economies, and sell their citizens to criminals.
Big assumption here: China and Russia are 2 separate cases. Not so. You would be betting your survival on attacking China thinking Russia will not get involved. In fact, Russia is already involved. Its supplying China with advanced technology and weapons – and that is just what is known from open source info. What else is happening, we can only guess, but it will be significant.
So, I don’t dispute Gonzalo’s thesis, I’m simply saying its a massive miscalculation by the US – existential, in fact.
The US was going to pick a fight with China before, but I don’t believe they will do so now because a two-front war is always a losing proposition. The Russian invasion in Ukraine got in the way of the Taiwan issue.
The amount of effort the US puts into defeating Russia is just crazy. I don’t know how they think they can defeat Russia without triggering a nuclear war, but maybe the US is prepared to sacrifice Europe in a nuclear war like it now sacrifices Ukraine in a conventional war.
Anyways, there is no way the US can replicate the sanctions it has imposed on Russia. The economic war with Russia is going to have terrible consequences, especially for Europe. To do the same to China is impossible.
Lira is right about the Chinese not being very good at war. They are good at competing economically, but not militarily. In the alliance between Russia and China, it’s Putin’s job to take care of the military aspect. The Chinese will take care of the economic/financial aspects.
The Chinese will avoid war as long as possible because they benefit from trade.
Too little adds up in considering Gonzalo Lira and his circumstances. Yes, he’s the darling of the ‘hep’ set, but the fact he’s been able to get away with so much egregious anti-Zelensky (iy, yy) stuff for months already on EeewToob and elsewhere has kept me questioning his authenticity. To this very day, how could the Azov Bois ever let him go if he weren’t protected by some Big Dogs? I’m speculating CIA-asset. I’d like to be shorn of this notion, but things. do. not. add. up. as they stand. Could the fact he’s a big fan of General Augusto Pinochet have anything to do with it…?
He is a US citizen….like you. He’s protected by the Seal Of the US State Department anywhere on the planet. Can say what he wants, US citizens still have freedom of speech, no frozen bank accounts yet …..eh. Cut him some slack he’s weathered a major storm, has been cordial about Zeeman since he got out. Still makes great content, without fluff, what do you want from the guy?????
We are surprised Lira did not explain what the Britisher MacKinder stated all the way back in 1804. As sea power started to eclipse in the Western Sphere, it was slowly taken over by ground war; boots on the ground.
MacKinder stated that the West must always be wary of a unified Eurasia Power that included China, Russia, & the other territory there. If that land dominated commerce, finance, and currencies, the West’s expansionary visions would be greatly impeded.
Then, in Brzezinski’s book, “The Grand Chessboard” of 1997 he reiterated what MacKinder stated as US Financial, Military power became “global.” Henry Kissinger expressed the same thing back in the 70s.
However, by 2016, Brzezinski declared that the US World Dominance would no longer be attainable. What Brzezinksi saw, was the rising up against US dirty wars in the MIddle East with its avarice need for more riches in the form of Big Oil.
The fatal mistake was when Wall Street/The Fed and wealthy corporate heads purposely OFF-SHORED millions of US manufacturing/industrial-based jobs to China & elsewhere. (This started in the late 70s all the way up to the early 2000s.)
China took that opportunity and started building up it’s own economic/trade system by selling goods to the US and around the world. They started using a far more equitable financial/trade/banking system that looks a little like the US system starting during and after WWI up until the early 1960s.
Fast forward to 2008-9 with the “US Financial Crash,” The FED had become very powerful, and propped up the Big Banks, Corporate Heads, Hedge Funds, & the Wall Street gamblers, like Warren Buffet, by supplying them with trillions of $$s. The US Financial System has never been the same. The stupendous rise of the Ultra Wealthy and their all-consuming need for more $$$s has pretty much destroyed the US society of average folks.
Most everyday, if you watch the Stock Market & all the Financial Instruments to keep the super rich happy, in the last year, year-and-a-half that whole Financial System has grown deeply volatile with some losing millions/billions, while the analysts seek out every avenue to regain their profits by any means necessary.
That’s the REAL backdrop as to why the US will surely pivot towards China. The US Financial System is in trouble, with most of them fully aware of MacKinder’s, Brzezinski’s outlook of 2016.
This is always what happens to Empires. They reach a peak of no return, and it’s downhill all the rest of the way.
Regarding China, the Empire would be absolutely insane to fight this surging economic giant that also has vast and disciplined human reserves, especially given Russia’s strategic military and resource support. The only remaining weapons that effectively could be used (evidently already have been used) are biological warfare agents. That is why the Chinese government has been so authoritarian wrt lockdowns, contact tracing, and treatment protocols. Australia a challenging adversary?…no chance.
Good Morning,
Mr Lira propose Australia as a proxy. Philippines could be an interesting choice.
AUKUS case, indicate, or remember, that there is kernel countries: not easy to deal with if you are not authorised.
And there is interesting commodities in it. Geography, and much more recent events.
Nice day.
Personally i’m fond of what the Vietnamese did back then with their own war criminals.
Give’em a bamboo stick , and let’s go mine clearing the whole country baby !
Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian
Headline: Hundreds of fighters from the Azov battalion at the Azovstal have surrendered.
Selected ZH Comments:
JACKPOT. Yesterday a US Admiral Eric Olson Surrendered to Russia in Mariupol.

I am waiting for the trials regarding the spread of bioweapons , human experimentation and torture.
https://telegra.ph/Briefing-on-the-results-of-the-analysis-of-documents-related-to-the-military-biological-activities-of-the-United-States-on-the-t-05-11
Talking Heads – Still Waiting.
And what the Zionists want, the Zionists always get.
http://biblicisminstitute.wordpress.com/2014/08/29/israel-prepares-for-the-big-war/
Sheer Hubris/Fantasy
Wrong!
Americano hubris on show yet again.
Smedley’s the Man!
amarynth,
thank you for the quote and agree strongly with you analysis – gross underestimation of China. If memory serves, most US wargames against the PLA in the recent past (Obama administration) had China winning.
Would love to see a video of that exchange!
well defintely US is turning to China… BUT those ships are just going sink those ships in a target practise… with some of those Hybrids from Russia…
about highscool .. think more like kindergarden..
If, of course, the US would still be united…
An expat in China has a few comments concerning the US, an it’s war against China, that are very insightful. Covert, but It has already gone hot. The Chinese know.

“War is the Health of the State” by Randolph Bourne (1918)
https://www.panarchy.org/bourne/state.1918.html

“We have the dollares, and dollares bend and beats everybody and everything”.
That comment represents satire at its dryist.
US Debt levels:
1946 $269B 119% of GDP
1960 $286B 54% of GDP
1971 $398B 35% of GDP*
1980 $908B 32% of GDP
1990 $3.2T 54% of GDP
2000 $5.7T 52% of GDP
2010 $13.6T 90% of GDP
2020 $27.8T 129% of GDP
Today $30.3T 130% of GDP
* Nixon decouples the US$ from gold.
You are using the liability side of the balance sheet David.
How about the asset side of the balance sheet.
National debt is not like that of a household that is a mistake to think like that.
The US government budget deficit = The private sector surplus to the penny.
As the real data graphs shows here
https://www.businessinsider.com/goldmans-jan-hatzius-on-sectoral-balances-2012-12?op=1&r=US&IR=T
The US national debt is just that private sector surplus that has been moved into US treasuries.
An asset swap from $’s into a treasury.
The US national debt should be called the US national assets.
DIAGRAMS & DOLLARS: modern money illustrated (Part 1)

DIAGRAMS & DOLLARS: modern money illustrated (Part 2)
https://neweconomicperspectives.org/2014/01/diagrams-dollars-modern-money-illustrated-part-2.html
As demonstrated in this recent video taken in Philadelphia of people out and about picking up gold dollars from the streets and open skips in scenes reminiscent of ‘Sean of the Dead.’
https://sonar21.com/proud-to-be-an-american-in-philadelphia/
If this is ‘success’ I’d rather not see failure.
But keep polishing that turd Billy. We have to have some light entertainment to keep us laughing.
The $ is stronger David than 10 years ago.
So it is not devalued.
Devalued from overprinting is a scare story designed to scare the children please do not fall for it.
Money Growth Does Not Cause Inflation!
https://realprogressives.org/money-growth-does-not-cause-inflation/
The assumptions they use in their models are wrong. It is the inflation from the supply side shocks that caused the money growth.
It may turn out like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FUfuZJI9LK4
Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris.
Indeed, every time a war with China has been wargamed, the US loses.
The next war the US is obviously going to lose. The big difference is: this time homeland USA will not be spared!
I have no doubt that China would repel the US in the Taiwan Straits. But no ten countries combined could invade and subjugate the US mainland. Sadly, the US is not content to merely defend its borders.
That’s BS! A single country can launch hypersonics which the US has no defenses against…
*sighs* read my post again.
Just imagine, for a second, what if Mexico invades the US? You know, with all the other Latin countries in the Americas?
Mexico, invade, the border is open, just walk across.
Cheers M
The biden admin has already brought in over 1 million illegal military age males, and is housing them in tent camps on military bases. The numbers are right in the federal illegal immigration reports. There is only one conclusion that can be reached.
@Dale
Agree. Give me one of those little Corvettes and a bunch of Kalibr’s and let me do it, since no one here has the courage to do it.
^^This^^
The .gov has been the enemy of the people for a very long time.
-WM
China can’t take 300 million casualties – they are even too afraid to let covid loose amongst the population for fear of a large number of deaths.
Just try and attack them and you will see how many casualties they can take.
Here: /escalation-continuation-of-sitrep-china-is-dead-serious/
This continual conflation of Covid with War Readiness is just not valid thinking.
Russia is a sore loser bound to lose this war and be a pariah, says an ex chines diplomat in official chinese media

and old schmuel Kissigrer claims it too.

Dawei Gao.

Where are the Russian bombers?
– whilst its front line troops were being decimated several times over requiring reinforcement with the equivalent of ‘Dads Army’ level replacements;
– its best forces surrounded on the Donbass contact line;
Daily in Ukraine drive 4000 trucks, Russia cant shut up with calibar rocket, sorry my english is bad
Soldier Josef Sweik….you are even bad as arm chair general…..just get some beer..and sh*t up !!!..please
Pentagon-Funded Think Tank Simulates War With China On NBC

Do German voters want another Wall?
Sure. Go read the comment sections of german public television sites. Pure hatred, and they are willing to pay.
State TV?
Just mention the Mauer in company and stand well back….
Why not Taïwan?
@John Stone
I was referring to previous comments about CHINA selling its reserves (TSY and cash).
Not about the US managing its currency or debt.
@Mario
One Tu95, 24 1000lb gravity bombs, 40,000’. No more Uke front line artillery. Can’t be that easy? Maybe two trips. No supply route required.
One aircraft carrier and we would go crazy.
War against China 😂 China should just use the Taliban as a proxy for another “Saigon special”
“Advantageously, that can and should be avoided.”
Soloman Islands is where he said the US, using Australia as a proxy, will have a go at China.
Cheers M
Iran
When the Republicans win in November they have been biting at the bit to invade Iran for decades.
Won’t be China they have nukes. Iran does not have Nukes.
There thinking will be they can use the Iranian oil fields to move Europe away from Russia’s dependency a lot quicker.
I think there will be war between China and Taiwan, I do not know about Australia and the Solomon Islands…

Solomon Burke – None of us are free
