The video “Tribute to fallen of the Donetsk airport” on You Tube is both stirring and poignant. The song surely comes from “deep” Russia. No translation is provided but one is hardly required. Truly moving.

That was a great (and sad) video, thank you. Here is one from a WW2 movie.Used to give a speech to the junta. It is also great. And the words could be from the mouths of today’s Novorossian soldiers.

re: ” Remember them” video. I was absolutely horrified to learn that in WWII as many Russian army soldiers died to gain the crossing of just one river as Allied soldiers died in D-Day to gain the beaches of France. That river? the Dnieper . And the descriptions of the battle are totally blood chilling.

The elderly man in video is beautiful. He represents the bravery and quiet dignity of Russia.
God bless him and all those brave men that went before him and those are still here.

From the land of the Never-Attacked-Once in its entire history, Immediate tears flow! From this and other blogs, the long & sometimes controversial discussions, and E-Books including Operation Gladio across Europe in subsequent years… I surely never grasped the decades-long impact of WW2, more than now. Many thanks to all, for so much re-education. Amen.

Thank you for all those who died to give us freedom and those still dying today.

    We must never forget.

I was born in the former U.S.S.R. to Greek parents and raised in Canada. What has boggled my mind, and has made me sick to my stomach, is how many countries are adopting rap music instead of sticking to their own uniqueness. I call it the monkey see, monkey do syndrome. America has invaded everywhere and until you all wake up and realize that you have succumbed to the American ways, don’t blame them when they are taking over the world. The only thing I felt in this video is how sad that you have become so Americanized.

    • Ibrahim on April 10, 2015  ·  at 3:47 am EST/EDT

I agree 100 percent with you regard to that obnoxious noise they called rap (I usually prefix it with capital C)

    • Jan on April 10, 2015  ·  at 11:03 am EST/EDT

Thousands of years before the USA ever existed people were writing poems & rhymes accompanied with music.
I often read these days that many people now consider anything that rhymes rap. I disagree. Its like re writers of history in their propaganda machine claim that they invented the wheel, paper, fireworks, medicine & certain forms of music which already existed globally in many forms.

Just like the game of basketball was Re-invented by a Canadian teacher living in the US he did not invent throwing pieces of paper through a hoop. Soccer or Football as people call it on different continents was according to different countries invented in China, Koria “Koguryo”, or and Babylonia etcetera.

Various forms of rhyme we hear across different cultures in a multitude of forms have actually nothing to do with rap music. Just like democracy does not exist in the USA, and was not created there. However US politicians claim continuously that democracy is a sort of US export product. If one refers to democracy as drone bombing entire villages to death by remote control or violent, genocidal regime change… then democracy has taken on a new meaning for the yanks. (Yanks = Jan Kaas= phonetically “Jenkees: a Derogatory term describing Dutch, New Amsterdam original settlers by the condescending conquering British settlers.)

The US propaganda bureau likes to brainwash people into believing that all sorts of rhyme within music are somehow rap related and thus an American cultural export. Don’t worry, it isn’t. Please enjoy the message for what its worth. People who have no culture often fabricate one based on “Fata morgana” ; misguided illusions.

examples HoT Dogs= German Sausages, Frankfurters. Did no Babylonian, Greek, Roman ever eat a piece of meat with some bread? Did no hungry starving population ever roast a dog? LOL
Potato chips= Dutch pan fried potatoes recipe, sliced so thin; purposely over baked to irritate and mock Dutch immigrants in a NY restaurant.

Even American drone strikes were copied based on V1-V2 Hitler’s Vengeance London bombing efforts.
We could just enjoy this Russian rhyme and laugh every time we hear claims of American culture. Total US propaganda BULLSHIT. But even bull shit was invented & created as digested matter product by bovine fauna. Bulls. American culture= LOL
      Very nice song & video!

Muricans are so scared of Putin. The sheeple and the neocons have no idea of who they are fu*&^king with. And what does the US have that Russia would want? Burger King? Detroit? Rap music?…….BRAAHAAAAHAAAA.

Soviets were not “carrying the cross” in WW2, they were defending themselves from fascist scum who were literally “carrying the cross” in their own warped, buggered world view. It’s important to understand that.
