by SouthFront
SouthFront has been under stiff pressure from different sides (corporations and, as we could consider, governments).
Recently there was another blatant attempt to impede the project’ activities.
PayPal restricted the project’s account again and requested additional data 24 days ago (on April, 15). We have been granted 28 days to provide the data or our account will be suspended (deleted).
This is the exact same request that we received in December, 2015. At that time we provided PayPal with all the information that was requested and all restrictions were removed almost immediately.
Now the situation is completely different. Within 24 hours from the time that PayPal’s request was received, we responded with answers to all of their questions. So, our response was sent to PayPal on April, 16th . PayPal did not send us any reply to signal that they received our information. Then, on April 20th, we wrote a letter asking for the reasons why we didn’t get any reply, additional requests or information regarding the matter. Again, no reply. Then, on April, 22nd, we called PayPal by phone and were assured that everything was fine, that there were no worries and that the issue would be dealt with within hours. We requested that the 28 day period be frozen, but we were told that there was no reason. After this conversation over… NO REPLY in any form was forthcoming. No calls, no emails or other notice of any sort. In the meantime, the “28-days” period is still running its course and expiring. Then, on April, 26th, we sent a complaint to PayPal. NO REPLY. Then, on April 28th, we re-sent a complaint to PayPal again. No reply of any kind. Our last call to PayPal was on May 3rd. The tough talk took place and, “Wow!”, an operator said that she couldn’t understand the real reasons why we didn’t receive a reply or additional request. Moreover the PayPal specialist sent us “a message” that the “reasons” are caused by some circumstances beyond the normal course of business.
By now, 24 days of the 28-day period have elapsed without any update from PayPal.
SouthFront has evidence that this situation is a result of destructive actions of the project’s ill-wishers. If the account is blocked, we will provide an additional data about the case.
Dear friends, today we have to inform you that our PayPal account (southfront@list.ru) will be working within next 4 days only. These days, SouthFront is still able to accept your support through it. We ask our friends who have PayPal accounts to send letters/requests to PayPal about reasons of blocking SouthFront’s account.

Bitcoin…
We need an alternative to PayPal, Youtube, etc…
The alternatives to PayPal can be: Amazon Payments (https://payments.amazon.com/), Dwolla (https://www.dwolla.com/), Square (https://www.squareup.com/), Stripe (https://www.stripe.com/).
Note: To use Dwolla, you need a U.S. bank account for sending and/or receiving money. They have no fees for sending and/or receiving transfers/payments up to US$5,000.00.
Go over to bitcoin … and yes, not so many people are familiar with bitcoin but put the necessary info on your webpage and link to the detailed info about what bitcoin is and how ease is to start with it.
Yes, there will be some difficult transition period but it will be the similar process as with financial sanctions against Russia … independent system(s) is(are) going to replace western controlled systems … like paypal.
bitcoin = no third part involved, minimal transaction cost completely independent of distance or country borders, completely anonymous, much faster then any bank transfer (usually it takes few minutes) and absolutely secure and encrypted.
What you need is computer/smart phone/tablet, Internet, bitcoin wallet (install some of the free applications for your platform and generate your own wallet) … receiver needs one too. Go to some of the online bitcoin market places and purchase as much or as little bitcoins (or fractions of it) as you wish with any accepted payment method (credit card or whatever is supported … you can probably use even paypal) which will instantly (in a few minutes) transfer bitcoins to you wallet and then use your bitcoin application to transfer bitcoins you want to donate to the SouthFront wallet (if they were clever to make at least one). What you need is receivers wallets unique ID (automatically generated when wallet is made) that SouthFront (presumably) published. Your wallet ID can’t be traced back to you (and you can have as many wallets as you wish … you can produce one for each and every new transaction you want to make and then just drop that wallet).
You Saker should try (and encourage people using) it too! Start in time so you won’t end up in SouthFront position some day.

“Circumstances beyond the normal course of business” sounds like a euphemism for pressure from the American regime like the CIA or other spook agencies.
I agree – use Bitcoin and free your site….
NONE of these western-controlled payment methods, social networks etc can be trusted – now or EVER…
btw, Saker – you should also consider moving to bitcoin ASAP also for your own peace of mind…
if you need some help on how to do it easily then email me
best wishes
I agree that they can’t be trusted. I sent a donation this morning to hopefully get through the 4 day window that is left, but I also remember this same thing happening with donations to wikileaks due to their support for Snowden.
I am looking at using bitcoin in future, despite being less than net-savvy, as I really value these alternative news sources.
I tried to send Declan Hayes some money for Syria, (we save syria), but the same thing happened and they still have my money in their pending account. The money left my account as soon as I completed the online payment. I heard gossip at a party of them holding other peoples money in pending accounts and being very difficult about releasing it. I tried to buy a gardening hoe from a man in Russia, all looked ok bu,t paypal would not process the payment. They have a round robin system so the sale/transaction just disappears into nothing at the end of filling in online payment forms. So paypal is not an independent International payment scheme. Who is, what is paypal? Is it a google idea :) It seems google and paypal like swift need replacing. Both google and paypal and eBay have the image of being solid foundations of the internet.
Has anyone thought about using Patreon.??? https://www.patreon.com/home I use it for a monthly donation of $2US . . .All up with cost of fees & exchange rates etc it costs me NZ$2.98 No hassels. I dont / wont use PayPal. This seems a good substitute
PayPal obviously gets directions from the NAZI-Gestapo in Langley, VA.
Note to PayPal management: You are in the business of supporting mass murderers. There can be no excuse for that.
